Hey hey! From the character headcanons, how bout "what calms your muse down after a bad day?" For any/ as many OCs you'd like!
Hello Lay! :D
Thanks for asking, here I am! Let's see...
Tis the prompt list
Aisling: She's an introvert and needs to recharge batteries on her own. Crying helps, she loves crying, she's a crybaby, will cry because if you pour it out, it doesn't fester and poison you. She'll just curl in a ball under her covers, or search for a person to hug and cry it out. They can go on doing their things, she doesn't mind, she just needs the physical contact. Otherwise: a long bath, gets cozyed up before the fire, blanket on the ground, a lots of pillows, candy stash number 2 ready, and a book. Or going to the stables, cuddling the horses, venting it out with some physical work, all the better if there's a pricky horse keeping her company and bumping her from time to time.
Raina: Go to the Hanged Man or the closest local tavern, possibly the dirtier one, the one with the most scum in it. Pick up a fight just for the sake of it. Drink up and drown her sorrows in alcohol, any kind of alcohol, she isn't picky. She always, always is a very sad drunkard, will get moved by seeing a cat on a side of the street and bawl as someone drags her home. (no it's not sane don't do like her)
Garrett: Mope around a little bit. Find an isolated corner, cross his arms on his chest, sits down and think about it, mull it over, feel sorry for himself a little so he can get over with. Raina would help him in setting his problems in the right scale, with humour and lighten the mood, when he feels like he has moped enough. Or, take the dog out, take a long walk around, maybe run a little over it. Cuddle the dog, get distracted. He likes gardening enough, it keeps his hand and mind busy, it's relaxing.
Alyra: She rationalises. If she needs to pull out steam, she'll just look for someone to spar with and vent it oud that way. She's not a talker, she hates talking about her feelings because she feels like if there's no solution to be found, there's no point in discussing it. So, she'll examine carefully why the day went bed, split the events in tiny bits of cause-effect and see connections and why it went wrong and what could have been done to prevent it, how can she improve the next time.
And for Till Queendome Come...
Winnie: Grumble with Reginald the goose, her principal confident, about what happens. He's her familiar, he understands what she's saying and feels what she's feeling, so the bird is the perfect listener, honks sympathetically when she needs, nibble her hands with his beak affectionately to show support. She'll get into the greenhouse and prune leaves. Back in Cornwall, she used to just go out the house and climb her favourite tree in the garden, the one that looked at the sea, and mull it over there. It comes difficult in London.
Shahra: Gets in the kitchen and bakes bread. A lot of non bread, Uzbek style, she has fancy stamps she collected in years and brought with her when she moved to London. She became pretty good at baking and refuses to spend money to something she can do at home. So yeah, bake all the bread and store it in an enchanted box so it keeps always soft and fresh. They actually have three enchanted boxes in the pantry. Do some "yoga". She can't name what it is, but she remembers the practice, three or four sequences, and how to move her body. If you asked her, she won't be able to give a name to what she's doing or any positions. She also tries to meditate in the end, in a perfect padmasana... But she finds meditation difficult (without her heart, she can't physically access the right state of mind, her chakra line is broken. She was never good at meditation, but right now she would try as hard as she wants to: nothing ever will happen).
Darcy: Cosy up in a bathtub full of ice cubes -he's a frost giant, London is a warm climate for him-, a pint of beer and a novel. Usually it's Jane Austen, but sometimes any regency novel would do, he has a HUGE collection of gothic novels, all the bibliography of Anne Radcliffe, he's scared and mistrusting of ghosts, so he'll just get lost in the fright night. If it's a boxing evening, that's perfect to vent - he participates in boxing matches, makes good money out of it. That is if the pesky troll that has a bakery under Tower Bridge doesn't participate and puts up a challenge for him as well. Stupid, pesky troll, if he's there he'll get home even grumpier than usual, lock in the bathroom for hours.

PLAYING AGAIN | Insights: The Winnie-the-Pooh Books & The Christopher Robin Film
Hello!, I’m Meg :)
This past week, I decided to try and play again with Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit, Owl, and - of course - Christopher Robin.
The Winnie-the-Pooh Books
Basic Info
The Winnie-the-Pooh books were written by A.A. Milne and illustrated by E.H. Shepard. The first book was published back in 1926 on the 14 October through Methuen & Co. Ltd. A.A. Milne merely shared with us this world created by his son, Christopher Robin Milne. Although, Owl and Rabbit were not part of the original gang Christopher played with when he was a young boy. I’m not going to go into the whole history of this and the family because I haven’t fully read into the original sources. But here are a few people that probably know what they’re talking about.
youtube
Thoughts On the Books
Considering that they are children’s books, it doesn’t take much time to read them, but it does take more time to fully enjoy them. What do I mean by that? When reading a book so open to imagination such as children’s books, at least for me, I feel that you find yourself taking the time to read slowly and attempt to fully immerse yourself in the text. It isn’t heavily loaded with descriptions because, I suppose, children are meant to freely make it theirs. It’s like how every individual has their own perception of who to them is God or what to them is Heaven.
Hold on, I want to reference a completely separate film that has nothing to do with the Winnie-the-Pooh universe - as far as I know. In Vincent Ward’s What Dreams May Come, a character named Albert points out that
“‘Here’ is big enough for everyone to have their own private universe.”
I think children’s books, the Winnie-the-Pooh books in particular give you the freedom to do that quite well. I must confess, I didn’t read the books as a child. But even as a 20-year-old girl today, I did enjoy the books. But something was missing… It wasn’t real enough.
The Film: Christopher Robin
Basic Info
Disney’s Christopher Robin, directed by Marc Forster, premiered in 2018. It stars Ewan McGregor as grown-up Christopher Robin, Hayley Atwell as wife Evelyn Robin, and Bronte Carmichael as daughter Madeline Robin. Jim Cummings voices both Pooh and Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, and Nick Mohammad as Piglet.
Although young Christopher Robin (acted by Orton O'Brien) definitely knew how to play, grown-up Christopher has forgotten how to. Back when they were younger he was the one saving Pooh and his friends, but now it was time for them to save him.

Thoughts On the Film
youtube
When I previously said how the books weren’t real enough for me, this film definitely helped fill that void. It isn’t a retelling of the stories in them, no, it is an extension of them and makes them real.
The film itself runs for 1hr and 44mins, so it doesn’t take up much of your time as well… But, I think that’s up to how much it is able to engulf you. I am the type of person who, you could say, gets distracted easily. I tend to take notice of small things that don’t really matter and obsess over them. Something is always buzzing up in my head, so I appreciate it when a film or show is able to truly bring me someplace else without me having to try. The film Christopher Robin, I’m happy to say, is able to do that. I found myself bawling for most of it, thinking about what it must feel like to be so lucky as Christopher that his private universe is real. Everything you’d think that is made up is all real. Just to have that place where you can run off to and just… be and do nothing.
As it is said by Pooh and Christopher,
“Doing nothing often leads to the very best of something.”
I am grateful for films like this that are able to create something real for you. Yes, there are no full descriptions and explanations for how things work in the world it’s trying to put out for you- But, that’s just it! For me, it’s relieving to not have to worry about piecing together bits of information written out and to be able to just have it… be right in front of you. Yes, there isn’t much room for you to make up and add things, - imagination - but they do make up for it by doing their best to make it real. They very carefully and lovingly piece together everything for you; the people acting for you, the composition, production design, lighting and color, costume, hair and makeup, texture, sound - Mise-En-Scène! All these things come together to make something surreal real for you. It’s as if that world is now your life, even just for that 1hr and 44mins.
Playing Again
Something we can really learn from the film is to play again. Oftentimes, we take ourselves so seriously, thinking that it’s just the way life has to go in order to make our dreams a reality. We often are so busy chasing after our dreams that we forget that now can be a dream too.
“Your life is happening right now in front of you.”
Evelyn says this to Christopher when discussing why he can’t go out to the cottage with them.
I think this film does a very good job of reminding us that it is okay to play and be happy, even when things aren’t exactly perfect yet - whatever perfect means. Eeyore, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger are here telling us to go and play again.

Christopher Robin (2018) – Marc Forster
{01} Movie Seen in 2020 - 3 Stars
This a cute story, not about the real Christopher Robin as I originally thought. But it's as if it was a sequel to the books. With grown-up Christopher finding his friends again in the adult world.
Tumblr media
It's all very silly and predictable but the CGI/animation for Pooh and his friends is fantastic.
Tumblr media
They look like teddy bears that have come to life but not in a creepy way, and every line that comes out of their mouths is pure gold. They out stage every single member of the live-action cast.

SEND “💎💎💎” AND MY MUSE WILL SAY THREE THINGS THAT COMES TO THEIR MIND WHEN YOUR MUSE’S NAME IS MENTIONED
Tumblr media
    —  “ oh,  god.  what an intimidating woman, ”  he blurts out,  brows furrowing together.  “ well,  don’t tell her that. but it’s kinda true.  i like it though.  she doesn’t let shit get to her.”  garrett laughs and shakes his head. “yeah, intimidating is one thing. or i guess stubborn. either way she’s threatened to beat me up multiple times. she should put her money where her mouth is though. ”   —  “ second. second would be straight edge. i don’t see her go out, like, at all,” he admits.  “ i don’t know, i think she’s too wound up. ”  another chuckle.  “baseball jokes. no, but really. maybe a little pretentious? i’m not saying she’s gotta get hammered with us, i’m just saying go to a party. maybe. i want to see her have fun, dude.  i think she deserves it.  — what? no! i’m not asking her on a date. ”   —  “ last one? alright, i’ll crack your head with my bat if you tell anyone, but she humbles me. i’m hot shit, most of the time, but winnie? nah, dude. she doesn’t have time for that. she’s real honest, you know? listen, i’d never say anything nice about the softball team, but winnie’s alright.” he clears his throat and points a finger. “if you say anything to my teammates, i’ll use your spine as a batting tee.” // @jcyland
