Los Pasos de Rogelio Hoy arranqué con una escena de guerra: los placares todos rasguñados gracias al ataque de ansiedad perruna por la tormenta. Hermoso empezar así. Yo, con mi modo piedra activado, ni lo escuché. Al menos los gatos estaban más civilizados. Café en mano, me refugié un rato en el mundo distópico de Death Stranding (donde los problemas parecen más simples que la vida real).

A las 10:30 me tocó curso de auxiliar de farmacia, donde nos metieron en el pantano legal de por qué no podés vender pastillas como si fueran caramelos. Que si la receta, que si el número, que si el paciente se envenena porque alguien le dio algo trucho. Básicamente: vendé mal y te comen crudo. Interesante en un sentido postapocalíptico.

Después, pizza barata en Ugi’s (nada dice “vida adulta” como eso) y directo al laburo. Solo dos en la mañana. Y en la tarde también éramos dos porque el cubano tenía franco. ¿Casualidad? No lo creo. La encargada hoy era un sol, chistes y sonrisas. Muy raro todo. Intuyo que me va a pedir que me coma mi franco del sábado y lo tire a la semana siguiente. Pero bueno, la gente no cambia: solo calcula mejor.

La tarde se pasó volando entre gente, productos y resignación. Cerramos con todo repuesto y yo volví a casa en bondi, auriculares puestos, rapeando mentalmente con Linyera, Acru, y el Emanero pre-mainstream. Llegué, me clavé un pastel de papa como si el mundo no ardiera y miré el empate de Central Córdoba contra Flamengo. Un café y un alfajor de mousse coronaron el día. Nada mal, para estar vivo en este quilombo.

With a few exceptions, the history of the places in the GDR that honor the communist workers' leader Ernst Thälmann is a history of cultural appropriation. The Ernst-Thälmann-Schacht (Vitzthumschacht) in Hübitz in the Mansfelder Land is in the immediate vicinity of the Otto-Brosowski-Schacht (Paulschacht). The mine was named after the communist Otto Brosowski from Gerbstedt, whose wife hid the Krivoy Rog flag from the Nazis. Thälmann himself also visited the miners in the Mansfeld region during the global economic crisis.

The Mansfelder Land with its copper mining since around 1200 and the mining company named after it (1852 – 1995) plays an important role in the history of Germany and especially the GDR for economic independence. The Mansfeld Combine, which was responsible for copper mining and was very large given its importance, was actually a strong driver of innovation in the GDR with consumer goods production, development for the Soviet space program and even a powerful computer in competition with the state-owned Robotron Combine. In 1979, the Mansfeld Combine began alignment work for the discovered copper slate deposits near Spremberg in the Sorbian settlement area.

Mansfeld's copper mining had such an impact that even the most important writer in the GDR, Franz Fühmann, decided to work in the mining industry in 1974 so that he could write his magnum opus and failed. His novel fragment “In the Mountain” is the document of this failure. Franz Fühmann often stayed in Upper Lusatia and in particular with fellow writers based in Wuischke on the north side of the Mountain Czorneboh (Slavic for Black God).

These loosely connected strands form the framework for the series “50 Years of Neue Sorbische Kunst,” also because they make it possible to include the work series “Black God” and “Monuments Should Stay or Nothing.”

Franz Fühmann is the connecting element in the narrative of the artist collective 'Neue Sorbische Kunst', which has been active since 1974. What we know so far is that the collective met in 1973 at the 'X. Weltfestspiele der Jugend und Studenten' and came together on New Year's Eve 1973/74 in a previously unknown location at the foot of the Mountain Czorneboh in the first hours of January 1st 1974 founding the 'Neue Sorbische Kunst'.

so imagine you're 23 years old and have been in the navy nonstop since you were TWELVE YEARS OLD and approximately a year ago you got lashed within an inch of your life for "Drunkeness and mutinous conduct" by your captain after accidentally causing the probable death of an apprentice (unrelated) which you still feel guilty for and at this point you're just trying to keep a regular paycheck and stop causing so much trouble so you keep your head down. except a married man (with five kids) keeps staring at you like he wants to eat you alive and you're literally a bored 23 year old faggot in the navy in the Caribbean so you screw around with him a few times during the holidays when your bosses are drunk and don't care anyways and its fine (its not but we're ignoring that) and then you get caught eventually. but you're both good british men(tm) so he gets immediately fired and sent to another ship instead of being hanged and then you spent the next 13 years of your life bored and mad as hell in the middle of various wars trying to work the sails on assorted ships and you still feel melodramatic and hung up on this guy who is married (and has five kids back home (one of them has the same name as you) (and also you also really don't want to return home for undisclosed reasons))) and eventually you say you've had ENOUGGHHHHHHH and say you want to open a bar a few blocks away from where you grew up. probably to be near your sister and her husband. and btw now you're in your 30s now. and then you open the bar but then you run out of money #workingclasshero and then the admiralty goes 👀 we'll give you doublepay for one more expedition into this scary uncharted part of the world and also we're sooooo confident it's gonna be fine btw. and you say FUCK IT WHATEVERRRR and join up so you can pay off the loans for your bar. and then your married man (with five kids) from 13 years ago is also on the same ship as are you because of course he is. and then the whole expedition gets stuck in the ice. and there's fuckall to do because of the ice so there's no sailing so you end up writing a lot of poetry to pass the time instead. and then you die from scurvy / lead poisoning / the cold / starvation. and then your married man (with five kids) from earlier takes your poetry and keeps it safe and carries it along with him until he also dies next to the ocean shoreline. and then for a decade its just your poems and his bones and the ice and the shale until some random fucking guy shows up and takes your poetry back to england after declaring it stupid and illegible. and then a century later a museum charges $80 usd + tax per side per page to look at your poetry in high resolution.
