Low Pay and Long Hours

Many Walmart workers say pay is too low. Some make just $12 an hour. That's hard to live on. Bills keep going up. But wages stay small. Full-time jobs are rare too. Many get only part-time hours. But still work like full-timers.

Overtime happens often with no extra pay. Workers say shifts change suddenly. One day mornings, next day nights. Makes family life hard. No set schedule causes stress. Some clock out but keep working. Just to finish tasks on time.

"I worked 50 hours last week," said Maria, a cashier. "But got paid for 38." Others tell similar stories. The work never seems to end. Breaks get skipped often too. All while managers watch closely.

Poor Treatment and Few Benefits

Workers complain about rude managers daily. Some yell in front of customers. Others play favorites with staff. If you're not liked, shifts get worse. Complaints to HR go nowhere. Many feel scared to speak up.

Health insurance costs too much. Deductibles run over $1,000. Some can't afford the plan. Sick days are hard to get. One worker coughed for weeks. But kept working with fever. "Can't afford to miss pay," he said.

The discount card helps little. Just 10% off fresh food. Nothing on already cheap items. Other stores give better perks. Workers feel Walmart could do more. But profits come before people.

Broken Equipment and Safety Fears

Old machines break down often. Cash registers freeze daily. Workers wait for tech help. Customers get angry waiting. Some carts have bad wheels. But no money to fix them.

Heavy items fall off high shelves. Workers hurt backs lifting. No safety training given. One man got hit by forklift. "They just gave me ice," he said. No doctor visit paid for.

Theft makes work dangerous too. Shoplifters sometimes get violent. Workers told not to stop them. But get blamed for missing items. It's a no-win situation. Many quit within first months. The job wears people down fast.

last night i was thinking about how my boss gets to make crude nasty jokes about my boyfriend getting shot and killed and then me getting kidnapped and raped by a former employee and no said “hey that;s taking it too far”or ‘ that’s really fucked up why’d you say that?” no instead they laughed and kept egging it on then he proceed to take my phone and mess with it and invade my personal space i told him to stop multiple times and he wouldn't so i was going to poke him with a unraveled paper clip and i accidentally drew blood i apologized and the next morning he says he thought about firing me even though it was an accident and the worst part is i have no one  to report this too because everyone in the building knows what a asshole he can be and they would just dismiss it or fire me for not properly doing my job because i forget to write down a water leak complaint”s name even though i gave an address. it’s truly not fair since the beginning of July i have been here Monday-Friday 8-4 im never late i never miss i do what i’m suppose to i honestly think im a good worker so the fact i get in trouble for the smallest things while he goes over the line with his jokes and gets nothing is just not fair it also dosent help that one of the other employees egg him on the moment he walks in even though most of the time he dosent even need to be here and comes to hang out of six to seven hours instead of work and he always puts the blame on someone else when something goes wrong it’s never his fault it’s someone else’s the only people i true like are these three outside workers because they don’t bother me, they do what their suppose to and their nice and make good jokes unlike my boss and co worker all i can say is thank god no one here besides me has tumblr i also have started sending rant emails to myself to help with the ranting it really helps get all the anger and frustration out of my body
