The Proudstar Family - Thunderbird (John Proudstar), Warpath (James Proudstar) and Grandma Lozen Proudstar, are in charge of Camp Gozhoo where they shelter the mutant refugees. However, the Orchis soldiers had invaded their place and they started to harass the mutants. This prompts the Proudstar Brothers to fight off the Orchis soldiers. Also, Grandma Lozen stood up to the Orchis soldiers showing no fear as she laughs in their faces defiantly.

An Illyana Rasputin in X-Men Unlimited #65

I get a bit cranky about how often an alternate version of Illyana is just an evil her (I mean, sure, Darkchild, but her whole story is fighting against those dark impulses and the cycle of abuse) but this is the Age of Apocalypse, so… evil versions of anyone are pretty likely.

And hey, it takes omega level Proteus to take her xdown, that is respect.

This is soooo cute!!

It’s a little bittersweet…knowing what happens to David in “Fall of X”…but it is a nice little note to Academy X fans!!

It was weirdly refreshing to see Jefferey back and the mentioning of David’s sister!

I also think this is the first time we had Josh and David really talking about the past/interacting (I know Josh popped up in X-Factor, but they barely interacted much considering their weird frienemyship…). It’s also definitely the first time we’ve seen Surge and David ON PANEL together talking since the Hellion kiss!

Also- for people complaining “Noriko seemed cold/should have cared more”, I don’t think it was so much she didn’t care about Jefferey…but that it was David asking her for help.

If it had been Elixir or Hellion, I think she definitely would’ve helped; but it seemed like there’s still some tension and bad feelings there.

Remember- Noriko gets brash or lashes out when uncomfortable; I think it was easier for her to act like she didn’t care than to deal with the awkwardness.

Anyway- Great short issue overall, no criticisms or complaints from me on it!

Tom: Always partnerin' with trouble, Cain.

Tom being supportive. Also, he may be Island security but he's not really involved in the Krakoan govt. here. And yet once Cain's here, Tom has to be part of the conversation.

It's giving "don't worry babe, we'll help, proud of you."

X-MEN Unlimited (2022) #13-20

Another instance where Tom, who's rarely off Krakoa, decides, "Cain's involved? I must go."

Cain: Ancient old man.

Andrea: Oh, Tom's been talking about you.

Cain: And what is it Mr. Cassidy says?

Flirting, Cain "the Juggernaut " Marko is absolutely flirting.

Also, "It's been good for you" reads as "you look good."

Look at that hug. That's a fully melting into each other hug.

Plus, "I want it to be when you guys want me to." Like, "tell me you want me here."

Even this reads sweet, to me at least.

The Five had brought back many mutants from the dead and usually the resurrections involves in celebrations. However, not all resurrected mutants liked the return to the land of living. One such resurrected mutant was Jeffrey Garrett, the mutant boy who originally haunted the X-Mansion as a restless spirit. Prodigy visits The Five who told him that the resurrected Jeffrey had already teleported before anyone could visit him. Prodigy figures that Jeffrey Garrett was too bewildered and disoriented about the new changes so he goes off to look for him. Prodigy finds Jeffrey at the cliff of the waterfall to talk to him.

This short story of Prodigy and the X-Kids take place before the fateful Hellfire Gala attack.

That’s flirting, nobody can tell me that’s not flirting. Krakoa’s sexy faces indeed. Honestly, I’m impressed, I didn’t think Illyana had this level of flirting in her.

Look how good of a mood Illyana is in because Kate asked to hang out with her (“X-Force” picked this team, yeah sure, Kate, we believe that) and then she managed to successfully flirt.

I’m living for this issue.
