ICE BRAVE 2025: Program Set List (Spoilers Alert + LONG POST)
Shoma Uno was blessed with many different programs during his competitive years, and ICE BRAVE 2025 utilized that really well. From my perspective, the main objective of the set list is to celebrate Shoma's range of music genre, highlight the individual skills of each performers, and also make sure they all not die doing this show because all of them charged forward with full power.
SPOILERS ALERT. If you don't want to be spoiled about the show (especially if you're flying to Japan to watch) I don't recommend reading. Because honestly, Shoma made some incredible choices, I tip my hat to him and his team as producers.
Tumblr media
Warning: I have included relevant photos for visuals so this is going to be REALLY REALLY LONG.
01. GREAT SPIRIT (Opening Number - All Skaters)
Tumblr media
Well Shoma can't not open the show without this one, can he? Bless the day Shae-Lynn Bourne chose Grespi for Shoma. The program started with Shoma skating alone, and then Rika and Marin skated together in the center, before all the men joined them and they all skated together.
02. COME TOGETHER (All Skaters without Stephane Lambiel)
Tumblr media
Still on SLB's Shoma playlist of intense heavy duty music, all skaters except Stephane (who skated backstage) continued the intense opening with Come Together.
03. INTRODUCTION - MENT / TALKING TIME (All Skaters, introduced by Shoma Uno as MC)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this show has no breaks / intermissions (there was no zamboni time between halves) and no pre-recorded videos to fill the space when the skaters are resting, meaning it's a full nonstop show for 90 minutes. How the 7 skaters bought time to rest was this "MENT" (Talking time, common in KPOP concerts) where the skaters are on the ice and talk to the audience with mics. So the first MENT was Shoma on the mic introducing the cast, and they did some tricks when they were introduced.... Stephane who is like. 10 years older than all of them did a cartwheel LMAO (my Steph fan friend: STEPHANE NEVER DID ANY CARTWHEEL EVER)
04. LEGENDS (Shoma Uno & Stephane Lambiel)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was watching from the very first show, and after the introduction, I note that the next program is about to start and... Shoma and Stephane stayed out while the rest of the skaters went backstage. My brain went haywire trying to think what program they would do together in that black shiny pleather opening costumes??? AND THEN LEGENDS STARTED PLAYING AND I LOST MY MIND. THIS EARLY IN THE SETLIST... SHOMA YOU GALAXY BRAINED GENIUS. They did the program in a diagonal mirroring way, with THAT step sequence done side by side. Some amazing new choreo with a bit of ice work too at the end. Just... the coolest legends skating Legends... and on the third show, they did it in front of the legend that brought this program to the world: Mihoko Higuchi herself, there in the flesh. They bowed at the end to the audience- this is also an interesting detail, there were only 3 bows in the whole show outside of the closing number: Stephane/Shoma, Shoma/Marin and Shoma alone. The rest of the programs flowed into the next without any time for bows.
05. LA VIE EN ROSE (Yoji Nakano & Rika Hongo)
Tumblr media
Now this is where Shoma's portfolio of programs shine: he has many music that allows for physically less intense programs but still allow for some really good delicious flowing skating. La vie en Rose was reimagined to be a romantic duet with a little bit of cheek. Yoji and Rika played off each other so well, they were in their own little musical. One thing that is a bit clunky was that they did play a little humorous skit, which while cute may be disrupting the worldview fans have of La vie en Rose, which is a very sentimental song in Shoma's career (JNats 2019 gala anyone...) but overall it's very sweet and cute, and Yoji is perfectly charming to Rika's gorgeousness.
06. TIME AFTER TIME (Yoji Nakano, Kazuki Kushida, Tsunehito Karakawa, Rika Hongo & Stephane Lambiel)
Tumblr media
Still in the light-hearted cheeky romantic musical vibe, the charming couple of Yoji and Rika were joined by Maitre'd Stephane Lambiel and his assistants Tsunehito and Kazuki Kushida, and they had a charming dinner with jazzy entertainment provided by the assistants and then Yoji too, lol. Yoji and Tsune are Prince Ice World skaters so this type of musical interlude with tricks and smooth skating are very much in their wheelhouse, and Kazuki Kushida has also charisma to spare. Stephane and Rika spent most of this number on chairs to enjoy the show, and at the end they all lifted Rika up, lol.
07. TANGUERA (Tsunehito Karakawa, joined by Shoma Uno & Marin Honda)
Tumblr media
Dinner's over, the Maitre'd kicked everyone out of the ice, except Tsunehito who took off his vest and stayed. And then Tanguera started playing... the lights turned red... and we're in the spicy part of Shoma's portfolio. Tsune's skating is smooth and sharp, and he's joined midway by the owner of the program himself, and then Shoma and Tsune faced off against each other with some sharp skating. It built and built to the reveal of none other than Marin Honda in an incredible one shouldered red dress entering the ice to skate against them both, and well, this section ends with her sitting on their knees, a queen on her throne.
08. STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN / PPA (Marin Honda solo, ft. Shoma Uno & Tsunehito Karakawa)
Tumblr media
Marin's red dress was more flamenco than tango so it's obvious the next song was Stairway to Heaven / PPA. The guys did feature a bit on the opening choreo, but this is Marin's show and they are immediately dismissed. And what a show it is, Marin Honda at her most glamorous best with her full splendor.
09. BUENOS AIRES HORA CERO / BALADA PARA UN LOCO (Shoma Uno solo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After 8 years and countless questions by fans... she's here. The original and inimitable Loco, now skated by 2025 Shoma Uno, who is not only blonde, but wore a costume with such a sheer back I can see his entire back and shoulder blades moving to this music. And well. Loco is Loco. Shoma's masterpiece, and he kept the axel on the music change, with either 2A or 3A depending on his mood. He's on his full dangerous mode with this one.
10. GRAVITY (Stephane Lambiel solo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How best to follow Loco? (this is a question that comes up often in this show, lol). Well, how about Gravity skated by the man who created it? Stephane is clearly the best professional skater in the cast with his years of experience, and it's amazing to see Gravity free from the shackles of competition, in its sensual, languid and emotional best. And Steph picked an excellent shirt for this one too ;) Also I included the jump landing photo because STEPHANE JUMPED SO MUCH IN THIS SHOW. Incredible.
11. WINTER (Rika Hongo & Marin Honda)
Tumblr media
Beautifully dressed in all white, Rika and Marin look like the Winter Queen and Snow Princess respectively in this program. The choreography for Winter was pretty faithful to Shoma's original short program, especially on the step sequence. The ladies took turns skating harmoniously with the musical phrasing of the piece, which I loved.
12. NARCO by TIMMY TRUMPET (NEW PROGRAM) (Shoma Uno, Yoji Nakano, Tsunehito Karakawa, Kazuki Kushida)
Tumblr media
This was a fun group number that was converted from land dancing choreography. The long training time really showed here, the guys are so good and synchronized, and this was probably when Shoma's projection power was at his very peak and brought up the temperature of the venue up. Very nice red costumes for this one.
13. MENT / TALKING TIME (MC by Shoma Uno, Yoji Nakano, Tsunehito Karakawa, Kazuki Kushida, Stephane Lambiel)
More talking time! Stephane joined the guys on the ice with towels and water bottles, making it very similar to KPOP MENT. At the shows that I attended, this is where Stephane said his compliments and thoughts on the show IN ENGLISH. Which Shoma does not understand. And then Shoma talks about his compliments and thoughts on the show IN JAPANESE. Which Stephane does not understand. (Spoiler alert: they both just said the same thing basically. IDK if they coordinated but they both look so confused askjdnaksjdnkadsn) It's a whole ass skit on its own lmao. 14. EARTH SONG / HISTORY (Yoji Nakano, Tsunehito Karakawa, Kazuki Kushida)
Tumblr media
Shoma's one and only Michael Jackson program was a deep cut with Earth Song as its opening, but it was really convenient in the show because the slower, more mellow song allows for the guys who skated this to catch their breath before really turning on the full MJ experience when History started. It has everything a classic MJ program has: moonwalks, hip thrusts, popping, backflips, MJ poses. This is also one of my favorite program of the show- Yoji, Tsune and Kazuki Kushida were AMAZING. Love the energy in the program, and I still remember the sound of Kazuki Kushida blowing a kiss to my direction even now lol. 15. RIVERDANCE (Rika Hongo solo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How can you not ask Rika Hongo in your show to do her legendary Riverdance program? This is a music Shoma and Rika shared. The opening choreo is actually Shoma's choreo from 2009, and then new choreography was added before Rika going full legend and unleashed her legendary step sequence from her original FS. It's a really cool way to both honor Shoma's portfolio and Rika's program. Also the penlights by the audience turned to all green for her, it's a really cool sight to see. 16. TIMELAPSE / SPIEGEL IM SPIEGEL (Stephane Lambiel solo)
Tumblr media
This is a masterpiece. There is no way around it. For the promotion of this show, Shoma talked about making Stephane do this program that was really difficult. Which most fans thought it was Bolero, but Timelapse / Spiegel im Spiegel was Stephane's own selection of music given to Kenji Miyamoto to choreograph for Shoma, and the first time Shoma and Kenji listened together to the songs they went .... "oh shit" because it was SO HARD. Stephane was faithful to the original choreo by Kenji Miyamoto, and it was truly incredible. This is masterpiece level.
Also when the music started the crowd can't help but gasp... Shoma gave the best music choices he can choose for Stephane. Incredible. 17. WILD SIDE by ROBERTO CACCIAPAGLIA (NEW PROGRAM) (Shoma Uno & Marin Honda)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How do you even follow a masterpiece like Stephane's Timelapse / Spiegel??? Well, you don't. All you need to do is reveal that you have been practicing ice dance together for NINE MONTHS. When I tell you I sat there with my mouth open the WHOLE TIME. How do I even talk about it. More than the twizzles, the lifts, the dance spin... it was that they moved together as one. They were breathing together... their lines polished to match each other. Marin looking ethereal like the fairy queen... and Shoma looked like he would destroy and remake the world anew for her happiness.
This was really the moment everyone broke character in the audience, so far we were applauding really hard (Stephane's program had the biggest applause), but this was when we just started talking in disbelief to each other when it was over. Shomarin bowed to the audience after this, and it's hard not to feel like this was Shoma's way to tell the audience, his long time fans, that this is his happiness now, with Marin. And as his fans love him because of his skating, he tells them through their skating as well.
18. DANCING ON MY OWN (Yoji Nakano, Rika Hongo, Kazuki Kushida)
I'm kinda sad that there's not many photos for this program (I guess the photographers were reeling after Shomarin revealed THAT). But this was a beautiful callback to La vie en Rose back in the start, but this time, Rika left Yoji for Kazuki Kushida. Again this is where Shoma's portfolio of variety of songs shine, it was a beautiful, lyrical interpretation of the song with just lovely skating skills, and giving skaters time to breathe and recover. And they honor David Wilson's penchant for very literal choreo with Rika doing her beautiful Biellman spin on the lyrics "I'm spinning around in circles".
All choreographers in Shoma's competitive career were well represented, in my opinion. From Mihoko to Stephane to David to Shae and to Kenji, with Kenji overseeing the overall choreo for this show to make up for his choreo only represented in one program and its skated by the person who chose the music for him to choreograph (Stephane's Timelapse).
19. BOLERO IV - NEW BREATH (aka SHOLERO) (Group Number - All Skaters)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The program that Shoma was most happy about during his competitive life... of course it will end with this. All skaters were decked beautifully in gold and cream, and they did this beautiful circle formation and choreography reminiscent of Bejart's Bolero at the beginning, before it goes into the song. The skaters then left the ice one by one to leave the skater and choreographer alone with this program that made them World Champion and the coach of the World Champion, before Stephane sent Shoma off to finish the program with the legendary demonic step sequence. 20. SEE YOU AGAIN (Closing Number - All Skaters)
Tumblr media
Just beautiful outro song to conclude the show, with the skaters showing beautiful, lyrical skating to this song, which had been with Shoma almost every step of his career. The jackets the skaters wore for this song has Ice Brave tagline: "MY BRAVERY IS BUILT BY THOSE WHO STAND WITH ME." And it really is Shoma's thesis statement for this show- he wants to show what he can create with other skaters, away from skating alone in competition. In his interview after the first day of the show, he confirmed the same thing- this is what fulfills him now, skating together with others to reach the same goal. He even said that it makes skating alone to his solo program (Loco) felt lonely.
21. OUTRO / TALKING TIME & FINAL LAPS (All Skaters, MC by Shoma Uno)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Hello, Shoma Uno here." was the opening line of so many posts on Shoma's website back during his competitive days, so of course he started his final MENT with that. It was really a moment to thank all the audience, before going to the final laps. Tsune does a jump, Yoji does a backflip, and Shoma does his 4T and 4T3T... in his ice dancing blades. You know. Just Shoma Uno things.
TL;DR IT WAS A REALLY GOOD SHOW IM SO HAPPY

Do y’all remember that post that talked about Be Born being a solo song and not a duet?
I believe the original theory was that it’s Minds real voice shining through the deep synthetic one, but a good friend gave me another theory and it keeps shooting me in the face every time I listen to this song.
What if it’s not Minds ‘true’ voice, but an imitation of Hearts? He’s replicating Hearts voice and singing as him to prove that he can handle doing Hearts ‘job’ for him as well as to mock him.
“I can do the same things you do but better.” Type of thing. He’s quite literally taking over Hearts responsibilities, including his voice.
And then she threw another idea at me……. What if he does it because he misses Hearts voice in apathy and subconsciously copes by singing with it. I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT- There’s so much potential….. if you’re interacting every waking day with someone you’re bound to remember their habits and speech patterns. He tries to relish in the silence but after a while he can’t help but imagine Heart joking with him or complaining about something stupid. Instead of the voice being inside his head….. it comes out of the voice modulator unintentionally. What if he has full on conversations with himself with Hearts voice after a while. What if it distorts his perception of reality and that even in exile he can’t escape him. What if it furthers his hatred of Heart, what if it drives him farther away from Soul because he can’t let himself be perceived as ‘flawed’. Chat what if he’s suffering in his safe space, his mind. GUYS DO YOU SEE THE VISION.
(Gonna write a one shot like this one day trust)
What if you tried to kill me and my grief manifested into an unhealthy coping mechanism that my logical mind was not programmed to handle and it tormented me until you returned home.

Since Hazbin Hotel first season is out, can I request alastor and his child umbra witch contractor spending time together with their mentor/student (student he's quite found of in a platonic way).
Like, Alastor teach her how to dance like in the 1920's, to sing, to always smile like him, to cook, sometimes invite her as a guest to his radio program.
He also brings her to Rosie's, so she can have a total relooking. Her clothing style matching Alastor's (free of charge, because Rosie said that if reader is the summoner of Alastor, she must be as classy as him).
And to finish, Alastor brings her with him to piss off Vox. Now Vox has a deer demon and a child witch against him.
thanks
📻 Alastor x child fem!Reader platonic headcanons His young ward 🎙
You were very surprised when Alastor suggested that you spend time together. You were his contractor and you spent most of your time training, but Alastor saw that the more you trained, the more tired you got, and he decided that you should relax. That's why he thought you should take a break. Alastor practically didn't accept your refusal
The first thing he started with was music and dancing. Alastor told you a little bit about what life was like in his time, introduced you to music and even gave you some dance lessons. Vaggie, who was watching this, even began to worry that Alastor decided to make a small copy of himself out of you, because after a couple of days you began to smile a lot, following Alastor's words that without a smile your outfit is not complete. The next step in Alastor's plan was to visit Rosie
You didn't know why you had to go to Rosie, but Alastor claimed it was very important. As it turned out, the reason for this was that Alastor decided that you needed to change your wardrobe. You tried to convince him that you were fine with your old clothes, but Rosie took you away, cooing that since you and Alastor had a contract, then you should look as great as Alastor. She wasn't even going to charge for it
When you returned to the hotel, Vaggie's anxiety increased. Your clothes matched Alastor's style. She didn't even have time to talk to you, because he took you to his radio studio, claiming that he wanted to show you how everything works there. He saw how curious your eyes lit up. You've never seen the inside of a radio studio and you were interested in everything. Alastor even suggested that you spend a little time with him, because he just wanted to spoil the mood of his old acquaintance a little
By the end of the day, there were rumors all over the city that Radio Demon had a partner on his radio show, little witch, and that just a few hours ago they were on the air together, thanks to which Vox lost his temper again. You didn't regret it for a second, especially after Alastor told you a little bit about Vox. You understood that he could only tell you what was beneficial to him, but you wanted to believe him. In Hell, Alastor was one of the people closest to you and you hoped he wouldn't lie to you. Besides, singing a duet with Alastor was really fun, even though your goal was to piss off Vox

iirc you asked for input on compositions of Patrick's that feel like he's loving Pete on a musical level?
The Kids Aren't Alright is that to me in spades.
Musically, it's a duet between Pete and Patrick, and Pete is at the center. TKAA, possibly out of all the FOB releases, has the most present bassline as a throughline and melodic identity for the entire song. Yes, Dance Dance has an iconic bass intro, but TKAA returns to that bassline as the heartbeat of the song throughout.
The drums are very sparse, and when the percussion section explodes in the chorus it's not Andy Hurley going ham on live drums: it's a drum pad / clap effect, which Patrick very well could have written in whatever computer program he was using at the time; we know some synthetic rhythm sections have made final tracks from Patrick's demos before.
For most of the song--verses and the bridge--what we notice is Pete's bass and Patrick's vocals. The verses also have a chugging rhythm guitar: also Patrick. When there is additional melodic ornamentation, the most noticeable additions are a piano and a synth (also Patrick). There *is* a lead guitar part, but it is mostly confined to the end of the verses and the chorus, and it's so far back in the mix and so quiet that it feels like a texture rather than an announcement of, "Here's Joe Trohman!" What comes through as the identity of the song, even absent the vocals and lyrics, is something that sounds like an intimate conversation between Pete's playing and Patrick's.
(The whistle is also iconic in this song, and Pete and Patrick had a very married moment where Pete tried to make a joke about it in an interview and Patrick didn't let him get away with it)
TL;DR: Patrick wrote TKAA centered sonically on an intimate conversation between instruments he and Pete play. And then the lyrics are also Like That.
Here's the TKAA instrumentals https://www.youtube(.)com/watch?v=Y7PSoZBoc9o
omg this analysis is AMAZING and I want you to know that I read all of it and then I went to listen to the instrumentals that you linked and they literally made me cry with all of this information you have given me, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS. I mean, there is all of this and then, as you note, the lyrics are Like That. Ugh, what a love song for them, I am dead to death

Day 5 of Jeongin's birthday week fanfics
Pairing: Jeongin x F!reader Genre: Romance, fluff, coming-of-age Warning: Mild angst, implication of age gap
Tumblr media
The annual school talent showcase was buzzing with excitement. Students filled the auditorium, their chatter a steady hum against the occasional bursts of laughter and applause for the performances. Jeongin leaned back in his seat, arms crossed, a bored expression masking his usual cheerful demeanor. His friend Minho had been talking about his duet performance all week, but Jeongin wasn't exactly thrilled to be here. Dance wasn't something he thought much about. That was, until she stepped onto the stage.
The lights dimmed, and a spotlight illuminated the figures of Minho and a girl Jeongin hadn't seen before. Her name flashed on the program: Y/N. The name itself felt like a whisper of something celestial, but it was the girl who carried that aura. She stood tall and poised, her hair tied back into an elegant bun. Her eyes sparkled with determination as she adjusted her stance, waiting for the music to begin.
Jeongin leaned forward instinctively, his curiosity piqued.
The music started—a slow, haunting melody that sent shivers down the spine. Y/N moved first, her body flowing like water, her movements so fluid they seemed almost unreal. Minho joined her, his sharp, precise steps creating a perfect contrast to her softness. They weaved around each other like two celestial bodies in orbit, their chemistry undeniable. But Jeongin's eyes were only on her.
It wasn't just the way she danced, though that alone was enough to leave him spellbound. It was the way she seemed utterly free on that stage, the way her every step and turn told a story, the way her smile lit up the entire auditorium. She danced like she was born to, like the stage was her domain.
Jeongin felt his heart skip a beat, then another.
“She's incredible, isn't she?” one of his classmates whispered behind him. Jeongin didn't even hear them. His pulse raced as he watched Y/N twirl gracefully, her hands reaching out as though she were pulling the audience into her world. For a fleeting moment, her gaze swept over the crowd, and Jeongin swore their eyes met. It was absurd, of course—he was one face in a sea of many—but he couldn't shake the feeling.
The performance ended with a dramatic lift, Minho raising Y/N effortlessly as the music swelled to its final note. The crowd erupted in applause, some even standing to give the duo a well-deserved ovation. Jeongin clapped, too, but his mind was elsewhere.
“Hey, wasn't that awesome?” Minho's voice startled him. Jeongin hadn't even realized his friend had returned to their row, slightly out of breath but grinning from ear to ear.
“Yeah,” Jeongin said, his voice softer than usual.
Minho smirked. “Don't sound so shocked. I told you it was gonna be good.”
Jeongin nodded absentmindedly, his eyes drifting back to the stage where Y/N was gathering her things. She laughed at something Minho said as he helped her with her jacket. Jeongin felt a strange pang in his chest—something between admiration and envy.
“Who is she?” Jeongin asked, trying to sound casual.
“Y/N? She's a senior,” Minho said, slinging his bag over his shoulder. “She's been dancing for years. She's way out of our league, though, if that's what you're thinking.”
Jeongin frowned. “What's that supposed to mean?”
Minho chuckled. “Relax, I'm just saying she's, like, on another level. Anyway, come on, let's go grab something to eat. I'm starving.”
But Jeongin didn’' move. His eyes lingered on Y/N as she walked off the stage, her laughter echoing faintly even as she disappeared into the wings.
Minhos 'words didn't matter. Jeongin didn't know how or when, but he'd decided right then and there—he wanted to know more about Y/N.
The girl who danced like she owned the stars. The girl who made his heart race without even trying.
And maybe, just maybe, he'd find the courage to tell her one day.
Fallen for her? Jeongin thought as he stood to leave. Yeah, maybe he had. And he didn't mind one bit.
—————————————————————————
The days after the talent show had passed in a blur for Jeongin, though one image remained crystal clear in his mind—Y/N dancing under the lights, graceful and radiant, like she belonged in another world. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake the memory of her.
Jeongin's friends noticed the shift almost immediately. Normally full of playful banter and bright smiles, he was quieter now, lost in thought during lunch breaks and zoning out in class.
It was Minho who finally cornered him.
“Okay, spill it,” Minho said, sliding into the chair across from Jeongin at their usual table in the cafeteria.
Jeongin blinked. “What are you talking about?”
Minho rolled his eyes. “Don't act dumb. You've been out of it for days. You're either in love or failing math, and since you're not panicking over homework, I'm guessing it's the first one.”
Jeongin hesitated, his cheeks warming. “It's... no one.”
“Oh, so it is someone,” Minho teased, leaning closer. “Wait—don't tell me. It's Y/N, isn't it?”
The flush on Jeongin's face deepened, and Minho let out a triumphant laugh.
“I knew it! You’ve been smitten ever since the showcase,” Minho said, clapping him on the shoulder. “Man, you've got good taste, I'll give you that. But, uh, you know she's older, right?”
Jeongin sighed. “Yeah, I know. She's a senior. It doesn't matter. I probably don't have a chance, anyway.”
Minho tilted his head, studying his friend. “What if I told you I could help?”
Jeongin raised an eyebrow. “You? Help me? How?”
Minho smirked. “Y/N and I are in the same dance club, genius. We practice together twice a week. I could put in a good word for you, maybe even set something up.”
Jeongin’s heart leapt at the thought. “You'd do that?”
“Of course,” Minho said, leaning back with a satisfied grin. “What are friends for?”
—————————————————————————
Two days later, Minho delivered on his promise.
“Alright, listen up,” Minho said, pulling Jeongin aside after school. “I talked to Y/N. She knows who you are now, so that's a good start. She said you could swing by the studio after practice if you wanted to say hi.”
Jeongin's stomach twisted with a mix of excitement and nerves. “What did you tell her about me?”
Minho shrugged. “Just that you're a junior, you're nice, and you're a huge fan of her dancing.”
Jeongin groaned. “You didn't say it like that, did you?”
“Relax,” Minho said, smirking. “I made you sound cool. Now go. She's waiting.”
Jeongin took a deep breath and made his way to the dance studio. The sound of music spilled out as he approached, and through the window, he saw Y/N stretching, her hair pulled into a messy bun. She looked even more beautiful up close, her movements effortless, her focus intense.
He knocked hesitantly on the doorframe, and Y/N glanced up. When she smiled, it was like the room got a little brighter.
“You're Jeongin, right?” she said, walking over.
“Uh, yeah,” Jeongin stammered, scratching the back of his neck. “That's me.”
Minho’s voice echoed in his head: Just be yourself.
“I, um... I saw your performance at the talent show,” Jeongin said quickly. “You were amazing. Like, really amazing. I've never seen anyone dance like that before.”
Y/N chuckled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. “Thank you. That means a lot.”
There was a pause, and Jeongin felt his nerves creeping in again. But then Y/N tilted her head, curiosity in her gaze.
“Minho mentioned you might stop by,” she said.
“He didn't tell me you were so shy, though.”
Jeongin laughed nervously. “Yeah, well... this isn't exactly my comfort zone.”
Y/N smiled. “It's okay. I don't bite.”
That broke the tension, and Jeongin found himself relaxing. They talked for a while—about her love for dance, his love for music, and how Minho always managed to drag them into situations they weren't prepared for. Y/N was easy to talk to, her laugh warm and genuine.
By the time Jeongin worked up the courage to ask her out, it felt almost natural.
“So, um,” Jeongin began, fidgeting with the strap of his bag, “I was wondering... would you maybe want to grab coffee or something? With me?”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. “Are you asking me out, Jeongin?”
Jeongin's face turned red. “I—uh—yeah. I mean, if you don't want to, that's totally fine, I just thought—”
“I'd love to,” Y/N said, cutting him off with a grin.
Jeongin froze, unsure if he'd heard her right. “Wait, really?”
“Really,” Y/N said, her smile softening. “You're sweet, Jeongin. I think it'll be fun.”
Jeongin couldn’t stop the grin that spread across his face. “Okay, great! I'll—uh—figure out a time and let you know?”
Y/N laughed. “Sounds like a plan.”
As Jeongin walked home that evening, he couldn't stop replaying the moment in his head. He'd done it. With Minho's help, he'd taken the leap—and Y/N had said yes.
For the first time in days, Jeongin felt like he was walking on air.

Request complete, love 🫶 Thank you so much for sending this in. I really enjoyed writing it and hope you like it too 💛 Feel free to send more anytime!
૮₍´˶• . • ⑅ ₎ა
You and Lee Know are two of the top dancers in your program. You’re also sworn nemeses. Kind of.
He thinks you take things too personally. You think he talks like he’s trying to win an Oscar for Most Punchable Face.
Unfortunately for both of you, your professor has just announced that the final project is a duet—and you’re paired together. Of course.
“Try not to kill each other,” she says, handing out choreography assignments.
Minho glances at you with a smile that barely hides his smugness. “I make no promises.”
The routine is modern. Sharp. Complicated.
Of course it includes a spin catch—a move that requires one partner to drop backward mid-spin while the other catches them clean and close.
You hate it. Not because it’s hard, but because it means being this close to Minho’s stupid, annoyingly perfect face.
You’re two weeks into practice, and the tension has only gotten worse.
Everything about him pisses you off.
The way he corrects you under his breath.
The way he makes unnecessary noises after sticking a landing.
The way he sometimes mutters "sweetheart" when you mess up—which is rare, but not rare enough.
And then one night, it happens.
t’s late. You’re both exhausted. The studio is empty, lit only by a few overhead strips. The music starts again. You take your spots.
The steps fly by until the final combo. The spin. The dip. The catch.
Only this time, your balance falters. Your foot slips. And instead of landing in a clean hold—
Your lips slam right into his.
Full-on. Firm. Real.
Your eyes go wide. His mouth is still against yours. For one awful, breathless second, neither of you moves.
You pull away like you’ve been shocked.
“That was—”
“Disgusting,” he says flatly, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
You blink. “Excuse me?”
Minho shrugs. “I’ve kissed walls with more chemistry.”
“Oh, please,” you scoff. “You leaned into it.”
He gasps—mockingly, dramatically. “I did not. You basically tripped over your own ego and face-planted onto my mouth.”
You throw your towel at him. “You're such an ass.”
“And yet you keep aiming your face at mine. Weird.”
“There won’t be a next time!”
“You said that yesterday. And here we are. Round two of you trying to turn dance practice into a rom-com.”
You storm out. But the next day, when you meet at the studio again, he’s already there, spinning in the mirror like the kiss didn’t even register—like you weren’t up half the night replaying it and cringing into your pillow.
“Try not to fall on me this time,” Minho says as you stretch.
“Try not to make that face that makes me want to punch you,” you shoot back.
“Oh? Which one? My natural face?”
“Yes.”
He smirks. “You’re lucky I’m cute.”
“You’re lucky I haven’t broken your nose.”
The music starts. You both move through the routine. It’s sharp. Aggressive. You’re both clearly pissed but too stubborn to talk about it.
Midway through the dip, Minho mutters, “You’re clenching again.”
“I wonder why.”
“I don’t know, maybe because you can’t stop thinking about how kissable I am.”
You yank away from him and shove him lightly. “You wish.”
“Oh, I don’t need to wish. You made out with me, remember?”
“You are the worst thing to ever happen to dance.”
He bows. “Thank you. I work hard.”
Two hours in. Your fuse has burned to ash.
“Seriously, can you stop breathing like that?” you snap as he pants dramatically through another run-through.
“I’m sorry, am I too alive for your delicate sensibilities?”
“You’re too something.”
“Too irresistible?”
You whirl on him. “Too insufferable.”
He raises his hands in mock surrender. “Don’t kiss me about it.”
“Oh my god, you’re impossible!”
“And you’re obsessed,” he fires back.
That’s it. You grab him by the collar and kiss him—again—just to shut him up.
It’s messy and fast and fueled by rage. When you break away, both of you are breathless.
He wipes his mouth again. “Ugh. Still gross.”
You glare. “Then stop kissing me back.”
He smirks. “Make me.”
You grab him again—right as the door creaks open.
A voice echoes from the entrance: “Um. What the hell?”
You both freeze.
Standing in the doorway is your classmate, Jisung, wide-eyed and holding a smoothie like it’s a weapon.
“I was just—uh—I thought the room was empty. But clearly you two are, like, eating each other’s faces, so I’ll just… yeah.” He backs out slowly, still staring. “I—wow. Okay.”
Minho immediately pulls away, expression unreadable. You both scramble like you’d just been caught doing something illegal.
“Nothing happened,” you blurt.
Jisung raises an eyebrow. “Sure. I always walk in on people ‘not kissing.’”
“It was—” Minho straightens his shirt. “A mistake.”
You nod too fast. “Practice. We were… practicing. For the dip. Or the fall. The fall part.”
Jisung’s expression doesn’t change.
“I didn’t see anything,” he says, backing out slowly. “Except two people who are obviously in denial.”
Minho turns to you. “Great. Now we have to live with that.”
You groan. “I hate you.”
He smirks. “You kissed me.”
“Out of pity.”
“Yeah,” he says, heading for his bag, “looked real pitiful.”
You throw your towel at his head. Again.
He catches it. Again.
The next few practices are weird.
Not loud, not confrontational—just quiet. Unspoken. The air always feels heavy.
You still argue. He still gets on your nerves. But now, every brush of his hand feels deliberate. Every glance lingers a beat too long.
There’s a moment after one run-through, when you’re both catching your breath on the floor, not looking at each other. Not speaking.
And then he says, low and out of nowhere, “So... how pitiful was it, really?”
You glare at the ceiling. “You’re still thinking about that?”
“Don’t act like you’re not.”
You turn your head. He’s already watching you.
You roll your eyes. “Drop it.”
He grins, that sharp, stupid grin. “You’re a terrible liar.”
You grab your water bottle and chuck it at him. He doesn’t flinch.
But when he tosses it back—soft, precise—you catch it without a word.
And for the first time, neither of you has a comeback.

Hey mousy! Could you do one w/the sdv/sve bachelors hare with a farmer that is classically trained (I.e. can play violin, piano, cello etc.) thank you and have a good day :D
Hey hey, dear anon! 👋
Sure thing! Sorry for the late reply, been busy lately with holidays preparations. Anyway, thanks for the ask, and happy upcoming holidays to you! 💖
_____________________________
SDV bachelors:
Elliott was pleasantly surprised that his friend/lover had a musical education. And clearly have a talent for it, he must say! The way Farmer deftly drove their fingers on the keys of Elliott's piano, that if they wanted to become a pianist, with such talent they would already be signing autographs and giving concerts right away. This, by the way, made Farmer's praise of Elliott's own piano playing even more pleasant to the writer. Elliott wouldn't mind taking a couple of lessons from Farmer, but he doesn't want to impose himself, especially since his passion is poems and novels, and playing the piano is secondary.
Hey, so it turns out all of Sam's friends are musicians like himself! Cool! Although Farmer's classical cello playing differs from Sammy's electric guitar in musical genre, he thinks that Farmer would be a great addition to his musical group. Come to think of it, classical music with rock or metal - now that would be awesome! Well, if Farmer wants to of course. If not, and they're just playing for themself, Sammy's still waiting for them to come to his house to visit, hang out and play musical instruments together (as long as his mom Jodi doesn't ban them for loud noice).
Sebastian, like his more energetic best friend, is very good at playing the synthesiser, practising either in his room in the basement or at Samm's. He's generally self-taught, without much experience or specialised training like Farmer, and he's not too obsessed with playing, devoting his main time to programming. But his cheeks flush a little when Farmer, an experienced pianist as they proved to Sabby, compliments his skills and encourages him not to quit playing. Heh, maybe Sabby will reflect on his friend/lover's words. Maybe he'll even start online lessons, and then he and Farmer will play a duet.
Honestly, Shane was quite interested in hearing about music from Farmer, though the chicken man didn't really understand anything Farmer told him about musical theories or showed him music notebooks. He had once wanted to learn to play the trombone as a child, but lessons cost money, and his family... well, somehow things had worked out that way. He was a bit taken aback when Farmer offered to teach him for free. Heh, thanks, but he thinks he's too old and uneducated for that. Will give it a shot if Farmer is his partner, though. At the very least, to understand what Farmer is talking about regarding music and to play a duet for Jas and Marnie.
Harvey and Farmer's conversation over music came up quite casually, during another medical check-up, and Harvey listened to them talk about their hobbies. Farmer mentioned the cello and their years of practice on the musical instrument. The doctor was extremely surprised and jokingly told them to demonstrate their skills. To which Farmer pulled out their cello and began to play. Harvey stood a bit shocked at first (how did that instrument fit in Farmer's backpack??) but then just stood there and enjoyed the music, remembering to applaud them at the end. Talented people are talented at everything, aren't they?
Alex is absolutely delighted. Wow, Farmer and smart and can grow any crop, still play different musical instruments. Only recently the athlete heard them playing the harp in the middle of the woods, and now they're expertly driving a bow on a violin in a public garden, gathering a bunch of locals. His friend/partner is so cool, when he himself has even read one book in full.... No, that's definitely not the spirit. Alex doesn't want to give up, and even wants to try to learn to play an instrument! Yeah, why not! Just for himself. Play a tune for his grandparents for their birthday, for example. Or demonstrate his progress to Farmer. That'd be cool.
SVE bachelors:
Lance knew that Farmer was a very talented violinist even before Farmer told him so. The gallant adventurer had once accidentally caught them in the Cindersap forest where they were playing their violin, filling the forest with truly magical music. Lance even noticed that the local animals and birds did not run away from Farmer, but, mesmerised, watched them play. He travelled to Stardew Valley often through Magnus's portal, hoping that as he passed through the forest he would hear their music again. Oh, and Lance hopes his friend/partner doesn't take it the wrong way, he just didn't want to bother Farmer during their play at the time.
Oh, Victor loves classical music, and Farmer has a clear talent for it! He and his mother used to go to theatres for solo musicians' performances, where they applauded and gave bouquets of flowers to famous pianists and violinists after their play. The way Farmer skilfully plays the music of famous classics, and even writes their own compositions in notebook when they're not busy with their main job as farmer, inspires Victor to try something new. He loves bridges and everything to do with them, but he might try hiring tutors and learning to play the piano. Or maybe cello. He can't decide.
Of course, Magnus knew that Farmer had achieved such masterful harp playing because of their talent, diligence, and long training. Well, a good teacher was also important. He knew of Farmer's talent even before they first visited the Valley. Hmm, funny... the wizard began to notice that when he hears the melody of a harp in the forest, he almost always forgets all his business, stands at the window of the tower and enjoys the music with the sounds of nature. Sometimes even with a cup of tea. Farmer truly does real magic with harp. Magnus himself does not play music, at most he can make the instruments play themselves with spell, but it doesn't compare to real skill, he thinks.

as the cat is out of the bag, yes Shoma skates a duet with Marin in his new ice show "Ice Brave" that incorporates ice dance elements, which includes:
a full set of sbs twizzles (three twizzles, two clockwise, one counterclockwise)
three lifts (1 choreographic lift, 1 curve lift similar to the besti lift P/C did, 1 rotational lift)
choreo sequence (spreadeagle + spiral)
choreographic step (YEAH THIS WAS WHERE I LOST MY MIND lol when it first happened i lost it when i realize they did it from where the boards should be to the other side)
dance spin (sit spin, upright spin with marin layback, shoma camel with marin kneeling)
no immediately recognizable elements related to steps (one footed section, step sequences and/or patterns)
also the craziest thing about this all is shoma uses the same skating blades as marin, which is japanese made (YS blades) that is designed specifically for ice dance AND THEN HE USED IT TO JUMP TRIPLE AXELS (for his loco program YOU KNOW WHICH 3A) and in the finale he jumped...... 4T................. and 4T3T (and landed them ofc, the second show 4T3T was a step out but still)
the power of loving marin honda gave him the power to do quads and triples and lifts and twizzles aksndakjsdnaksjdnaksjdn
Footage from Japan local news: here and here. Also official video from Tokai TV:
youtube
Also explanation from their friend who is a staff at Kosugi Skate, the skating shop where they train in Tokyo and Yokohama (in Japanese): thread here.
Also this is the song they used (you may recognize it as the final part of Kaori's The Piano FS and Jia Shin's Oceano/Tree of Life FS):
