You hesitantly step up to the empty counter glancing around puzzledly looking for your boyfriend, Byeongkwan, who is also the florist at the local flower shop. He usually rushes to the front as soon as the bells above the door sound. You lean against the counter figuring he’s busy in the back of the shop.

“Sorry, we just got an order of artificial flowers,” he says pushing his hair away from his face you hum nodding your head, “do you have an order to pick up?” He asks leaning against the counter.

“Yes,” you trail off, “my friend asked me to pick up her wedding bouquet,” you roll your lips together, he nods stepping back toward the back of the shop.

“Here you go,” Byeongkwan says handing you the bouquet of roses, “I hope your Jihyo’s wedding goes well,” he says with a small laugh you hum nodding your head.

“Thank you,” you say brightly, “I’m really happy for her,” you say with a small sigh reaching into your bag to take out your wallet and pay for the flowers, “I won’t lie, though, I’m jealous,” you say with a laugh handing him the money for the flowers.

“Why?” He asks leaning further against the counter.

“Her boyfriend actually proposed to her,” you tease, “Yuchan asked me if you had proposed yet,” you admit he lets out a heavy sigh dropping his head, “I’m just teasing you,” you say softly running your hand through his hair.

“I figured we should wait until we got out of college, neither of us has rich parents like Yuchan,” Byeongkwan says with a small laugh, you return his laugh, “you should get going, I’ll see you later tonight,” he says gesturing towards the door you hum.

“Bye, I love you,” you call waving before turning away from him, he mirrors your words softly.

Junhee held out his wrist next to yours as he leaned closer to inspect the wording printed on your skin. He had the same exact one beside your name on his arm, too. "Kim Sehyoon 1993.05.15." He read off quietly, like a secret that he didn't want others to hear. You watched his expression for a bit. He looked up into your eyes with unguarded worry, "Sehyoon?" He repeats slowly, like he's testing the name. He smiles at you now, "I wonder who he is."

Junhee's enthusiasm is really contagious, and you find yourself smiling back, excited about maybe meeting Sehyoon. He pulls you to your feet and you walk together to your house, not letting go of the other's hand.

Aside from the reminder that's on your arm (which always manages to make your heart rate speed up when the sunlight makes the writing come to life), you manage to be distracted enough to kind of forget about your's and Junhee's second soulmate. That is, until one day Junhee startles you by skidding around the corner of the building in front of you, "(Y/N)! I found him!" You stop and raise a brow at him, pausing the song you were listening to. He is beckoning someone, and you watch in curiosity as someone also rounds the corner, though much slower and more hesitant than your excitable soulmate.

"Sehyoon, meet (Y/N)." Junhee smiles proudly motioning between you and the other man. There's a moment where you just stare at Sehyoon, and he keeps nervously looking between you, Junhee, and the concrete beneath his feet. Junhee, who's standing in the middle of you both, clears his throat before looking at you pointedly, "Sorry, Sehyoon, (Y/N)'s a little bit awkward, and was the same for me!" He laughed patting Sehyoon on the shoulder.

Sehyoon smiles, small and shy, nodding at Junhee's reassurances. You shake your head at Junhee before smiling wide at Sehyoon, "It's nice to finally meet you, Sehyoon."

Sehyoon smiles, wider and more confident than moments before, "Same to you. Both you and Junhee." Junhee grins, then claps, "Alright, how about getting some lunch all together? We can celebrate finally all meeting!"

You picked your phone up to open a music app, heading into the living room to toss it onto the coffee table before flopping down onto your couch. The music began flowing from a speaker mounted on your wall.

You missed Donghun. It would be an exaggeration to say you hadn’t seen him in forever, but it felt like an eternity since the last time you could be held in his arms. You sighed again; that was becoming common with you recently. Slowly, you shuffled around on the couch until you were wrapped in a few throw blankets like a burrito and drifting off into a nap. In your dreams, Donghun was there, like he used to be.

When you woke up, you felt a single tear roll down your cheek before you sat up and wiped it away. You felt frustrated with yourself; you should be cheering him on instead of moping around. You grabbed your phone, set on texting Donghun first. You paused when you saw the missed calls you had received starting from around an hour ago. All of them were from Donghun, and you felt an aching in your chest. The last one was from a few minutes ago, and you hit the call back button. “Hello? (Y/N)?” You sighed, but from relief at hearing his voice. “Donghun. Hi.” You missed him, but at this moment, you didn’t know what to say. You settled on, “Where are you?” You could hear some shifting around on the other end of the line, then a huff of laughter. You smiled to yourself. “I’m outside your door, (Y/N), are you home?” You quickly jogged the short distance to your front door and pulled it open. Donghun looked surprised to see how quickly you got to the door. 

Then a full smile blossomed on his face. You opened your arms and he moved in to hug you, wrapping his arms around you. You began laughing. You would never be able to resist asking for a hug from him when you hadn’t seen each other in so long. He pulled away slightly to look down into your face, “Sorry it took me so long to come see you again.” You shook your head and snuggled back into the hug. Eventually, Donghun began humming to the song that had just begun, and you smiled up at him before pulling him further into your apartment. “Do you remember when we danced to this song?” You asked. He nodded, a gentle, loving smile on his lips, “I could never forget.”
