My fellow Canadians
The time is now to gently impress on your Conservative-leaning family members that we cannot vote for Pierre Poliviere right now
For sovereignty reasons
Because when Trump repeats a joke enough times he forgets he’s joking
And it’s funny as hell to watch all the republican senators scrambling after him saying “no no no we cannot make Canada a state please no they will elect democrats”
And Poliviere is right leaning enough that they might panic slightly less and think they’d have a chance
(He’s also a fucking idiot who thinks we’re too stupid to notice him cosying up to the Christian fundies and big pharma and denying climate change, but people who ignore that aren’t likely to be swayed by facts)

If the Empire's methods for picking out Force Sensitives were so meticulous and particular that they (often!) flagged normal non-Sensitives (as happened with Wedge multiple times in Legends, as happened possibly with Jai Kell since we never learned whether he was actually Sensitive or not), then they would have been meticulous enough and particular enough that the Imperial Academy on Mandalore would have caught Sabine.
And if she was SO low level that she could evade the Empire's screenings, then she would be too low level to ever actually connect with the Force no matter how hard or how long she trained.
You either have the Force or you don't. There is no "Just train hard enough even if you don't have the natural talent, eventually you'll be able to unlock it!" That has been the unspoken understanding across the board by Star Wars writers, even during Legends, for ages.

You gotta enjoy the simple things in life, like spending a couple of paragraphs hashing out the critical importance of the Uzumaki clan providing salt in bulk at affordable rates to the Senju clan thanks to their alliance, and how that trade agreement could transfer to the formation of Konoha.

the paragon n pistachio styles are just variants, theyre the same dude. Sona lore is that he's an shapeshifter agent of an Elder God, and his job was to keep an eye on humanity and the species of earth as they progressed. He mostly kept to the seas n his preferred form is the "Fish" esque form. one day he goofed up royally and now as punishment, his shapeshifting has been limited, and he's being forced to do a bunch of tasks for various elder gods whilst also living amongst humans (instead of simply observing from afar). He doesnt mind it too much, although he would like to be able to return to his 48 foot long kaiju form under the ocean sometimes.
Tumblr media
he has a lot of variants n these are his more common ones, but tldr these are all the same character/sona, just in different eras/places/situations!
but...why, pray tell, do you ask stranger? 🤔

[ID: Digitally painted MDZS fanart of Lan Wangji kneeling and leaning his head sorrowfully on a seated Wei Wuxian’s lap. Wei Wuxian is rendered much more dimly than Lan Wangji, and his unkempt hair covers his face as he touches the loose ends of Lan Wangji’s forehead ribbon. End ID]

in a way, every incomprehensible post I see that I would guess is about some game/book/show etc with absolutely no context in tags is a tiny blessing.
I Do Not Need To Know. ty.
whereas the posts that you can kinda? mayyyybe follow are dangerous time wasters, as curiosity compels me to read up enough until I figure it out. Which can take either 30min or 60hours.
(Doctor Who for me! I am so far behind that my prior knowledge may or may not apply. probably the perfect/worst media to cite because it's... always like that. which is why people are brainstorming every possible explanation for everything single thing. New Star Trek as well. God help the Naruto fans; I gave up at 13)

Howww can this disability class final project rubric have the delivery/professionalism part include "clear and confident speech" needed for full points in that section (2.5) and if you have "occasional loss of clarity or confidence" you drop to a 2 and then "unclear speech" is in the 1.5 to 0 points range. Like if that isn't just outright ableism

United States voice biometrics market size is projected to exhibit a growth rate (CAGR) of 16.85% during 2024-2032. The increasing focus on security and the need for robust authentication methods, the rising demand in financial services, the rapid technological advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), and the shift towards multi-factor authentication (MFA) are some of the factors propelling the market.

Humans entering space and realizing we are so small. We are mice compared to these giant races with their advanced machinery and technologies and experiences beyond us- except that we're humans. And our engineers dive into the new tech and once we learn the principles we also soon realize how Inefficient everything is. Their "microchips" are the size of cars, their storage drives are basically buildings, and they somehow store less data than ours. So, human companies take advantage, and tech starts rolling out. Massive and there's a lot of wasted space so that it can be managed with larger hands/pincers/claws/tentacles, but also so much more efficient than anything the galaxy has seen before.
Human technicians start hopping ships and upkeeping the general maintenance, the stuff that most aliens put off or don't notice because they never access the crevices of their ships. As human companies become more popular and lead the tech world in everything from warp cores to game stations ("it's so compact! How are the graphics so good?" Says a 60' tall grimbleback, holding a new VR headset that has all of its components included because it's so BIG by our tech standards), soon many things have accessibility ports for humans to be able to use as well. This means that these shiprats hoping ship to ship cause such a huge improvement in everything running smoothly, and there's a huge downtick in pests on ships because those "pests" are not only big enough and aggressive enough to bite a pitbull or a person in half, they're invasive to so many planets and humans hate nothing more than dog killing planet overrunning monsters.
All the while, from the Aliens perspective, humans are an elusive race that don't fraternize much with them. You almost never see a human as most places aren't exactly safe for the little things to run around in. They do export so much stuff though, and the custodial staff at the Central Galactic Outpost insists that there's more humans around than any other race if you just know where to look.
And sure it's somewhat known that some of the little daredevils hop ships and help out in exchange for room and board, usually without permission, but that can't be that common, can it?
Maybe your ship is running better this cycle ever since you stopped at the last station, that just means that tuneup was better than you thought. And maybe for some reason that program you were working on last night is finished when you wake up, but you're so tired maybe you finished it before you passed out. Somehow that faulty light in the galley has fixed itself as well, which is odd, but maybe the Engineer finally got to it. You'd know if there was someone else on your ship.
Right?
... You leave a little bowl of berries out as a thank you, just in case. You're not sure what humans like but you've heard they have a sweet tooth.
