a.n.: ..so this came to me in the middle of the night and i had to write it down before i forgot about it…please do not perceive me🫶🏾

katsuki keeps sniffing at your wrist.

for some reason, he keeps bringing your palm towards his face and you imagined he’d kiss it if he was feeling a little sweeter than usual or he’d bite your finger if he was feeling like a little shit.

imagine your surprise when instead, he just sniffs you and goes right back to watching tv.

he does it for the fifth time in the span of a few seconds and you turn your head that was smooshed into his chest staring at the tv to stare at him with a brow raised.

“katsuki.” he only grunts in response, nose pressed to your pulse point. a deep, grumbled noise comes from the deepest part of his chest when you try to pull your arm out of his grip.

“quit squirmin’. ”

“katsuki !” you squeal, giggling. katsuki grunts into your skin, pulling your hand closer to his face.

“what’re you doing ?” you chirp.

“ya smell like somethin’” is all he offers you for a response, your lip pulls up in confusion. you tilt your head.

“like what ?”

“i dunno, s’like—” he cuts himself off, pulls your hand away from his face to stare up at the ceiling in thought, only to bring it back to his nose.

you can’t help laughing at his behavior “ like what ?” you urge.

“different.” he settles “this some new perfume or somethin’ ?” he asks seriously, lifting himself up so he can sit up against the couch cushion and you follow, no longer laying but sitting up in his lap.

“not really, it’s this new body wash i found at the mall !” katsuki grunts in acknowledgment “was walking around with a friend and she recommended it to me, so i figured i’d give it a shot.” you explain.

“smells good right ?” you ask excitedly. katsuki damn near growls at your wrist, then he drops it and stuffs his head into your shoulder, wrapping his arms around you tightly like he’s trying to squeeze you to death, pulling you closer to him.

“so fuckin’ good.” he rumbles, the way his voice deepens has shivers going down your spine and has you impossibly giddy.

“what soap is that ? need ta stock up on it.”

you roll your eyes “so you can steal it from me ? no thank you.”

“m’ your boyfriend, you’re s’posed to share with me. what’s that saying? what’s yours is mine and what’s mine is yours ?” his voice is smushed against the fabric of your clothes because he can’t stay away from your skin for more than three seconds, going back for whiffs like an addict. you wrap your arms around him with a snort.

“isn’t that saying usually for married couples ? we’re not married.”

“yet.”

your heartbeat quickens and you feel your skin prickle and go hot at how casually he uttered the word. you play around with the hairs on his nape.

“..yet” you utter quietly. his nose is pressed against your addams apple, deeming it his new favorite spot to sniff at you like a dog. “so until then, my secret stays with me.”

“tch, stingy woman.” he scoffs “might have to marry you sooner than i thought.” he smirks.

you move to shove your head into his shoulder in embarrassment and he straight up laughs, the asshole. you’d be angry if you weren’t as in love with him as you were in this very moment.

“oi, i told you to quit squirming.” he jests.

“katsukiii !” you whine. he only chuckles, greatly enjoying the way he’s tormenting you.

“what ?” he snorts, his nose is pressed to your shoulder “don’t act brand new, you knew i was gonna marry you.”

“this is bullying.” he barks out a loud laugh at your flustered response.

“me puttin’ a ring on that fuckin—” he grabs your hand again and presses his lips to your ring finger “divine smellin’ finger of yours is bullying ?” he chuckles.

“you’re so weird.” you can’t help the smile that grows against his shoulder and he feels it too, the smirk against your finger only grows.

“right back atcha.” he snickers, then bites into your shoulder like he’s trying to take a chunk out of you.

“ouch ! katsuki !” you yelp, smacking his back lightly, all he does is snicker like the evil motherfucker he is.

“sorry, baby.” he apologizes but you can hear in the teasing lilt in his voice he regrets absolutely nothing “ ya smell so good i couldn’t help it.”

It's like one of the only things the don't fight over when discussing their future together. Zoro is like 'You're taking my last name, you know that right?' and Sanji is so relieved 'Thank god I never want to hear the name Vinsmoke again.'

Zeff is a little sad that he's leaving behind Blackleg though. It was like a cute little homage to his old pirate name. Sanji probably goes by Roronoa Blackleg, but Roronoa is what's on his bounty.

(Which side note, I think even after the straw hats part ways and enter retirement their bounties still get updated regularly and still rise because they never stop fucking around. Sanji is a total cop hater and any time he's on an island with food scarcity, his first instinct is to go raid near by marine bases because he knows there's going to be an excess of food they don't need there. He does shit like that all the time. He also does stuff to make sure his bounty sits higher than Zoro's so he can hang it up in the Baratwo and show off.)

Okay, serious talk, I've been looking to invest in colored pencils lately! I figured now that I'm getting more into the digital painting process, why not carry around some colored pencils so I can practice the process traditionally? I think it'll be a nice way to get more used to it and practice shading with actual hues instead of monotone shading; colored pencil drawing seems to use much of the same general workflow as digital painting, and I feel I have many more opportunities to draw traditionally than digitally, so with these I'll be able to practice more regularly.

Hopefully I can get some better quality colored pencils than the ones I have now soon, but until then, I hope you like these two little practice doodles!

Still re-watching Leverage: Redemption and I've finally figured out why I don't like Eliot and Maria (the US marshal) as a couple

It took me a while but I can finally articulate it

Putting aside the fact they don't bother to build the relationship like they did with Parker & Hardison and Nate & Sophie, so it feels very rushed in a way that's jarring, Eliot and Maria are just too alike

The whole reason Parker and Hardison (and to a lesser extent, Nate & Sophie) are such great couples is because they aren't alike but they're different in ways that complement each other

The show keeps trynna pair Eliot with people that are too much like him, 'cause they seem to think that in order to be with him, the person he loves is supposed to be the same kind of badass

But there's more than one way to be a badass, honestly, and if you ask me, what Eliot needs is someone who will take care of him the way he takes care of everyone else, but also someone who's a little bit silly because Eliot doesn't know how to relax

this aspect is why Eliot/Parker/Hardison works so well, too, because their antics complement his seriousness so well

Honestly, if I were going to craft a character to be Eliot's other half, they'd be more like Breanna except, you know, not a lesbian and aged up but with Parker's bloodthirst, because obviously anyone who's a match for Eliot should definitely think murder is an option

And the fact that they do think murder is an option would endear them to Parker, which would be the biggest hurdle in the team

Explaining the differences between FMA (2003) and FMAB cause why not

with no explicit spoilers for events, storylines, characters, etc.

Why are they different?

FMA 03 and the manga were coming out at the same time and FMA 03 was in danger of catching up to the manga. When this happens animes create filler to put some distance between the manga and anime but the FMA production team basically went Nah, imma do my own thing.

Which is exactly what they did bc instead of adding fillers they just straight up deviated from the manga.

This is why both animes while sharing the same cast and world, are so different.

How are they different?

To summarize these differences:

FMA 03 is a lot darker than FMAB

FMA 03 expanded on a lot of scenes, characters, arcs, and storylines

FMA 03 added characters, arcs, and storylines that weren’t in the manga

And FMA 03, you know, changed shit.

With the most notable being, the ending.

FMA 03's last episode isn't the conclusion. The 2005 movie Conqueror of Shamballa is

FMA 03 is DARK

I know I mentioned that FMA 03 is dark but holy fuck it’s a lot darker. To the point where if you asked someone the differences between FMA 03 and FMAB it’ll be the first thing they mention after the ending.

FMA 03 is a pretty dark anime don’t get me wrong but part of the reason why FMA 03 is seen as so dark is because in comparison FMAB is a lot more lighthearted. Now don’t get me wrong FMAB doesn’t shy away from its dark themes but FMA 03 not only embraces it but it delves deeper into them.

FMAB also has these comic relief moments to lighten the mood that FMA 03 just doesn’t have. FMAB is a surprisingly lighthearted anime, especially considering what it’s about.

How is FMAB's adaptation different?

FMAB, unlike FMA 03, stuck to the source material. It’s considered to be a completely faithful adaptation, which isn’t entirely correct.

FMAB was made with the thought that the viewers were fans of FMA 03, and were already familiar with the world and characters.

That’s why FMAB’s first episode feels like a recap and lore dump because that’s exactly what it is. Its purpose was to refresh the older fans' memories and reintroduce them to the world and characters.

This is also why FMAB feels so fast-paced for the first 15ish episodes. It’s bc they’re trying to get past the material they already adapted to get to the content that was never animated.

Though doing this means that FMAB just completely cut things out or trimmed them down.

For example, the Mining Town never got a proper adaptation in FMAB and they completely cut out the Train Battle but both of these were properly adapted in FMA 03.

That’s why FMAB tends to throw people off when Yoki appears later in the anime. The cast acts familiar with him but that part of the story just wasn’t adapted so viewers didn’t even know he existed until then.

So yeah, FMAB did stick to the manga, I just wouldn’t call it completely faithful.

idk if you've said them before but what are your gender sexuality and disability headcanons for the cast?

The crazy thing is, no one has ever asked this before. That being said I will gladly answer with open arms and a warm glass of milk (lest you not ask for a cookie too).

The funny thing is I've kept most of these sexuality HCs for a while, but I'm always unsure what to assign Brian specifically 😭 That man be fruity but I've always got my sights set on him being a-spec also (but I quite like greysexual for him). For anyone wondering about the second flag on Hayasaka and Natsuki, that's the demisexual flag!

As for the gender one, I think my strongest HCs would be Ena and Jesse (trans Jesse 4 lyfe). For Latte, I don't really have a big preference, so I don't mind what other people say she is. And I don't know why but Hiroshi is kinda GNC to me. He just feels like he could be.

As for disability headcannons? Honestly, I don't really have a ton. That being said, Kaidou, L and Brian all have autistic swag and I will not be convinced otherwise 💪

Despite being (effectively) a Judaism/religion blog, I think I'm gonna end being known for my no-fault divorce, abortion and birth control takes. And honestly? Fine.

I'm a religious person who supports family planning and families of choice and more importantly, I work with domestic violence survivors professionally and so I see the consequences of each up close and personal.

Without no fault divorce, some of my clients would be dead. Without abortion access, some of my clients would be trapped being legally tied to their abusers for 18 more years through their shared child/ren.

And on the flipside, the so-called "pro-life" and anti-divorce mentality of too many churches has convinced some of my clients to not get abortions or divorces that would have helped them escape. I have seen this lead to their children unrelated to the abuser continuing to be abused by him, including choked, beaten and/or raped, never mind the client herself. (Very pro-life, pro-family, and pro-child, guys! Good job!👍)

And birth control? Do you have any idea how important birth control (including secret birth control) is and any idea how frequently abusers try to interfere with it to trap them in the relationship? I've had clients whose abusers have literally pulled out their IUDs during sex.

So yeah. No fault divorce saves lives. Abortion saves lives. Birth control saves lives. All three prevent additional and more severe forms of domestic violence from occurring.
