Joe was lost.

This was common, even more so in this new mysterious land of Empires. Joe had wandered out at daybreak to find two cows to bring back to newly-formed hermit village, since Grian had mentioned the idea briefly last night. But, they’d taken a wrong turn or two, and was now looking up at the sky city run by that god whose name they couldn’t remember. Scott? Gem? Oli? Who knows. More important to Joe was the cows they could see in a pen in the village on the ground. If only they could snag two of them without getting caught… stealing always seemed to work for Grian, so surely…

“Joe! Hey there!”

Joe was halfway down the hill, and cringed as a booming voice came from above. They turned around and put on their friendliest smile.

“Howdy!” Joe said to the god who landed before him. The god was dressed in the white robes like last time, with one half of his chest sticking out. Joe chewed on their tongue as to not suggest that the god look up a tutorial on how to properly drape his godly robes. “I was just passing by. It’s all so beautiful here.” They remembered that the colorful guy from Crayola said that the god liked complements and added: “and big.”

“Why, thank you. You know, Joe, I’m so glad you stopped by, I was just about to come find you myself.” The god gave them a warm smile. “After all, we are quite similar, you and I. Even our names are like almost the same. Hastag twinning, minus the L. Not that I take L’s, of course, it’s just the letter.”

Joe went though the possible ways an “L” could be inserted into Joe. Ljoe? JLoe? JoLe? JoeL? Probably Joel, Joe decided.

“Well, I’m glad to be here with an almost-Joe, Joel.” Joe said. They wondered if they could sweet-talk Joel the god into giving them some cows.

“I see you’re wingless still- ah, new worlds, am I right? Here’s a pair of mine you can borrow. Come up and join me in the sky, Joe. We are far too hot and sexy to hang out with the puny mortals.” Joel threw them an elytra and rockets and took off for the sky. Joe put it on and followed Joel up. When they landed, they almost slipped and fell on a toy sheriff on the ground.

“Oh, sorry about that.” Joel said, grabbing Joe with one of his muscular hands. “My son was here before, off at his other daddy’s for the weekend, but must not have put his toys away before he left.”

“Oh! I have a kid too!” Joe said, smiling.

“I told you, Joe, me and you, we’re just two peas in a pod.” Joel handed Joe a glass of some kind of liquid that looked close enough to whiskey that Joe took a sip. “I mean, when I saw you for the first time the other day I could just tell, you know?” Joe nodded, just to be polite. “I mean, I didn’t want to say anything in case you were hiding it, but your godly powers were almost leaping out of your body, it was incredible.”

Joe choked on their drink. “What?”

“I mean, I understand, it’s so hard to hide your godly gifts, that’s why I just gave up.” Joel continued. “I control the skies, especially storms. And thunder, but only when my- well, that’s only for Daddy Sausage. Can’t be sharing all the intimate details of my life with you just yet, we’ve only just really met, fellow god. So, what do you do?”

Joe opened his mouth, quite confused. “I don’t have magic- you must have me confused-”

Joel laughed. It was a roaring laugh that shook the village below. “Oh, playing coy, I see? I can respect that, honestly, I can. The mortals you have with you are certainly weirder then my own, so I can respect the hesitancy at telling anyone about your abilities. As I said, we have the time to get to know one another, god to god.”

“How-” Joe began.

“How did I know you were a god? Fam, I detected your pure godly energy from thousands of blocks away. Plus, only gods can drink that there in your hand.” Joel gestured to the glass, which Joe had finished. “Mortals would literally explode from the inside out if they took a sip of that, lol.”

Joe left after a few hours of mostly numb interested noises at Joel’s incessant talking about how hot and sexy and strong and tall he was, as well as the fears he had about being a god, which, as a fellow god, he assumed Joe understood as well. Their mind was spinning, almost to the point of dizziness. There had to be some mistake, there had to be. A huge inside joke or something. Joe Hills was definitively and most certainly just some guy. Some normal guy from Nashville, Tennessee. No god with magic powers! Surly someone would have noticed by now if that were the case. Sure, the starry stuff inside end city portals had an aching familiarity to them, and sure, sometimes they felt a lot older then the very core of the earth, but that was normal, moral stuff. Right?

It didn’t occur to them until they got back to the small shack they’d constructed with the other hermits that they’d forgotten to ask for cows. But Joe wasn’t quite sure they wanted to venture out again. It was too much out there, especially near the friendly god of the sky who seemed to think he knew things about Joe that Joe didn’t know themselves.

Hi! I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication at making 3 gender versions of Sinless Sinners, you could've gone just gender neutral, or even with the more popular x reader gender being, fem, but you made 3 versions to include as many people as possible

I got genuine tears in my eyes when I saw there was a male version of the fic, as someone transmasc, it can become like doomscrolling when searching for fics even with fem hastags and pronouns filtered out bc most people won't tag nor specify gender yet make the fic fem

I appreciate your gratitude, but it seems to me that what I'm doing is the bare minimum. Like, all I have to do while writing is use bold when I use a pronoun that describes the reader, so that when it comes to uploading the chapter, I can find and change the required passages to male or gender-neutral (I always start with fem since I am fem, and it helps put me in the place of the character).

Honestly, that's not a lot of effort, the bar is on the floor for inclusivity. I would like to go back to some of my earlier works and do the same, and in time I will.

I am genuinely honoured that I made you feel included by such a tiny act on my behalf.

I hope other fanfic authors might also do this since X Reader fanfics tend to be more geared toward fem readers. In my one-shots, I use they/them pronouns, but for big stories like this, I don't want anyone to be left behind.

Oh, and how wonderful that you found some comfort in my writings as a trans-masc person. I find that so beautiful. It is amazing that we live in a world where you can be your best self, and I hope to continue providing stories for you.

I've said before that I'm trying to get my novel published. Part of the problem is that my writing is 'subjective.'

That's true, I'm a very opinionated person.

The other part of the problem is Agents are afraid nobody will find my work relatable since the cast is very diverse.

In my first novel, four of the main 5 characters are POC, one is trans-fem, and 3 are LGBTQ+

Frankly, I don't see what's unrelatable there. I'm white, but I relate to the POC characters because of their struggles. I'm also aro-/ace, yet I can relate to the love stories, because it's not odd to yearn for love in any capacity, or to wish to see it in others.

Now, I'm writing my second novel, and this one is for children but that hasn't stopped me from adding a Gender-fluid main character.

I can only hope these might be published one day. I would like the world to be more inclusive.

3- Stripper Johnny i GUESS

THAAAANK you alyssa, i'm hoping to finish this one in the next month or so because it's really such a slam dunk- daniel's cousin thinks he's being an incredible hastag ally by hiring a male stripper for daniel's bachelor party night, but of course the stripper ends up being johnny lawrence.

This ‘exotic dancer’ gig is not a forever job, Johnny knows that much. 

Not that Johnny was thinking about his potential life-long career path when he joylessly flipped through the classifieds after getting all but a boot in the ass out the door from his last place of employment. He still feels like he got the raw end of that deal; after all, he managed to haul the golf cart out of that water hazard, right? 

At any rate, this dancing gig is a good way for Johnny to get from point A, to point B… whatever point B ends up being. He might not have even considered it, his thumb and index fingers already trapping the thin powdery corner of newspaper in preparation to flip through to the ads for junker cars and free kittens, but.

He could remember overhearing a conversation between a tableful of women while he pushed a wheelbarrow piled high with rolls of sod past the golf course’s outdoor patio. Johnny had slowed a little when he felt their attention alight on him over their martinis, and he’s only a man! So sue him if he wanted to enjoy the sensation of their eyes taking in the damp cut of his abs while he wiped the sweat out of his eyes. 

While he’d lingered there, frowning vaguely at the dirt-sweat streaks on the hem of his shirt and trying not to look too intentionally clenched, he hears the middle of their conversation drift over to him. Their voices are low but in the conspiratorial way of ‘you won’t believe this–’ rather than an attempt at concealing information from Johnny. 

It never stopped being numbly surprising, the sensation of being little more than wallpaper (albeit devilishly handsome wallpaper) among the sort of people who had previously counted him as ‘one of us’.

Also about starting the fanfic thing. Here's a few tips so I can wave at you the hardest and be ur biggest hater 😡😡😡/hj

1) know what ur tryna write going off your posts and because it's pretty simple to think these up I suggest chaotic yet cute kinda approach to writing, you can get into that indept full fanfic werid word stuff later

2) ur theme should extend to ur posts. Basically cute header maybe a title but always make sure a summary is there!! People wanna know wtf they bought to read!! (Since u want male reader fanfics you can probably include "character x Male! Reader" something like that") basically make sure you know your aesthetic and the feel of it

3) know a feel, like 1 you kinda wanna quite litterally feel the flow, like in yu-gi-oh, you wanna trust ur hands and that they can tell the story you want. You gotta know what words to use, how these characters would respond to these situations, etc

4) requests will be hectic once you get popular suggest having a request max (3 to start 5 if ur feeling daring) bsds pretty popular here yk

5) and finally hastags. Want people to read ur fics u have to spam those things. I'm talking tag everything ya got (you alr do this in rants) but for fanfics I suggest adding #x reader #bsd x reader tags like that try to include everything. The more tags the better.
