EDS friends do you struggle with cutlery? I'm really struggling right now. at first it was just chopsticks and the forks with thin handles but now normal cutlery is causing me pain and is hard to hold. any advice on something I can do to help myself? is this just a me thing? do I just power through?
What kind of wedge pillow and book rest pillow did you get?
Here's the wedge. It's a little taller than it looks in the photos, or maybe it's my shortness (I'm 5' 2-1/2").
I got the book cushion from this etsy shop. It's not here yet, but I chose it because it can also be used as a neck pillow, which is something I need to just stretch my neck and relax.
There's also bean bag options, which you can search really easily.
I have a wedding/engagement ring I don't wear as often as I want to because I'm afraid to damage or dirty it, and it feels gross when water from washing my hands gets stuck in the fitting and I wash my hands a lot (and I'm worried about losing it).
I inherited a ring from my grandmother, one of the only things that made it to me, that I am thirty times more concerned about damaging.
I also have a slight case of right hemisphere spasmodic cerebral palsy, and I think I either need to wear these rings more often or even get junk ones.
This might just be a me thing, but wearing these makes me feel more aware of my hands without actually looking. My right hand feels more responsive and whatever mistakes (I say as I backspace repeatedly) feel less like "oh, I would make those errors!" and more like "people make those errors."
Again, it could be just me or just my headspace, but wearing these makes me feel like a graceful person who does graceful things.
Cassandra Clare is never beating the incest allegations but personally I admire her commitment into making these five families lives hell & completely entwined generation after generation like they are never ever escaping each other
some fandom friends of mine ask me why i’m such a steadfast percy defender and the reason is kinda simple: even tho i was a little girl while reading the books, i related far more with percy than with annabeth or clarisse or thalia. i understood percy’s character the most and tho i love them all, my love for percy will be just a bit more and well, for so many others that one favourite closest to heart character is annabeth instead or nico or thalia or clarisse or one of the hoo heroes and that’s the thing about books and all these worlds full of different, interesting people. you relate to characters not just based on gender or motivations or their unique set of attributes but sometimes it’s just the way they talk or their backstory or their ways of coping or their outlook on life or their introspective musings and that’s enough to make them that one special character you will die on hills for and that’s hella dope actually.
What's everyone's favorite TID book? Choose your favorite, and say why in the replies/reblogs.
My favorite is Clockwork Prince because not much happens in terms of the Mortmain plot, so there's a lot of Herongraystairs realness, and also just a lot of drama (which I love).
The only circumstance under which I would accept another TSC adaptation would be an animated show that completely leans into the wackiness, brings to life the beautiful and unique imagery of the books and has some genuinely epic action sequences.
finally got around to reading Mexican Gothic. It had me hooked and actually followed through (the buildup was good but I was worried the ending/revelation was going to fall flat. it held up though.) Anyway my take is that it felt like if a really good movie was a book. Like the story operated more on movie logic than book logic if that makes any sense. (not a criticism, just an observation.) Overall well done and well paced. Predictable enough to be coherent but mysterious enough to be compelling. There were a couple of elements that seemed a little clumsy to me, but forgivable in service of the whole. Would recommend if you want to read a book that feels like watching Crimson Peak or something
*leans in through the doorway* why hello there :] have a lady
ASHEI LOOK ITS HER ITS ASHEI okay okay
She’s Sheik’s GF who is also their complete opposite <3 her left never formed due to a congenital deformity and her right hand was completely paralyzed. Luckily with some old sheikah tech (excluding the orange and blue lights so that she could be discreet and sneaky, using hydraulic pressure rather than vague magic electricity), a prosthetic arm and adaptive device were made for her so that she could become a warrior! Fun stuff my friends :]
