Turns out I don't hate my tattoo I was just tired and overhwlemed and my immune system was in shock and there was a degree of psychological shock because it's this major change despite being a change I want. It's maybe not perfectly what I imagined but that's life in general, and it's still in progress!!! The edges are weirdly cut off BC we haven't done the wrap-around portion yet! Some small details can be added to balance it esp around the small filler buds. The contrasting shades is bc one is fresh and one is not, it won't be visually jarring once it heals!!! Mostly I just feel stupid now!!!!! Issues w control, commitment, anxiety, perfection, etc etc etc

Ft. The addition of sunflowers, a bee, and lilies, because I've never been even remotely subtle about the things close to my heart

been going through another frustrating art slump so i decided to try my hand at a charlie redesign. some design notes/”lore” under the cut.

-this charlie design is based partially on ventriloquist dummies. her tail, neck, limbs, etc are all jointed like a doll’s. she can bend and move her neck in unrealistic ways, including making a full 360 degree head spin.

-her pupils are small to give off an uncanny vibe

-patchwork cloth covers parts of her body, including her horns and a spot over her eye. 

-operates like a wind up clock. needs to be rewound at the end of each day. her key turns slowly when she’s feeling neutral/calm; when she becomes agitated or excited about something, the key spins faster.

-her shoes are designed to resemble cloven hooves.

-baggy pants reference the whole circus theme lucifer has going on. (when i drew her pants they made me think of clowns, so i just decided to run with that idea)

-not 100% sold on this idea yet, but i think that maybe lucifer made charlie instead of her being his literal daughter.

i’m not too satisfied with the colors. maybe some day i’ll go back and make more color variations idk. probably not. but this was a lot of fun to do anyway.

I do!!!! I literally watched top gun for the first time in my life two days ago and at first I thought I was just gonna write a brocedes au (bc they have the vibes for it!) but ahhhh. Mav and Ice are so JUICY and then I had this insane idea 😂 I want to make Mav and Ice crash in a little european country, mistakenly think they’re in the Russian wilderness, and they start this huge survival trip… when the next village would be just across the forest 🫶 oh and did I mention they will manage to almost start a war? All while thinking they hate each other when they’ve already fallen in love? god I want to make them SUFFER (and then obviously happy ending and Goose and Slider will never let them live any of this down <3333)

Truthfully, I had something far different planned for Carmilla than what you see before you. Needless to say, I was gonna take us back to the golden days of YouTube with what I had in mind. You can connect the dots after that.
