I think there’s alot to be said on Fig’s mom revealing Gilear’s disposition came mainly from the divorce and he wasn’t “always like this.” I really hope we can learn more about what Gilear used to be like.

Yeah, I didn’t mention it very much in the recap but I am curious about what Gilear was like pre-heartbreak. Based on my memories of S1, I seem to remember that he was always kind of a dork (and, in this ep, Sandra-Lynn did say that Gilear was more like this than she’d like to remember so it’s not like it was a total personality change), but I have to imagine he was more of a charming kind of dorky.

Since Fantasy High is largely inspired by John Hughes movies and we already have a character who is obsessed with using time travel to solve as many problems as possible--up to and including getting to hear a zinger he missed--I’d love for the gang to pull from another 80′s classic--Back to the Future--and meet young Gilear, plus younger versions of all of the rest of the adult NPCs too. In fact, now that I’m writing this up, the setup is perfect and I wouldn’t be surprised if Brennan is already planning some Back to the Future shenanigans at some point. 

Also, Naddpod (featuring Emily and Murph, if you haven’t listened to it and you like D20, please go listen it. I promise, it’s worth it) has a character named Balnor and, if you listen to Naddpod, you already know where I’m going here, but anyway he started off as a joke character of a very similar flavor to Gilear and, now, he’s beloved and absolutely essential. Everyone came around on him, in and out of game. At least one of the Bad Kids--Fig--genuinely cares for Gilear already so we have ground to work up from. If they’re dragging him around as much as they seem like they’re going to (especially since they’re also bringing his ex) I think it’s inevitable that he’ll get more fleshed out. They’ll clown on him forever but I think we’ll get more insight on him.

Happy New Year!

After taking a really long break, I have returned to my FF16 Cliji AU! The Moments Series continues... or I suppose it begins. This is a prequel about Jill Warrick in her homeland before she became the Rosfield's ward. We get to meet her mother and delve into what the complicated feelings involved in Jill leaving home. There is something deeply wrong with me. This might be one of the saddest things I've ever written.

I am also working on a follow-up to "A Moment of Revelation," so I'll be sure to post about it here when it's out.

Just finished up the first of a two-part Clive/Jill story for my alternate universe. In this one they get tricked by Joshua into going on a date at the local festival. Turns out Joshua at fourteen isn’t a very good chaperone. Get ready for some fluff and angst.

Over a month ago, my group released its seventh Avatar Abridged Episode and now the copyrights are FINALLY DEALT WITH. Go ahead and take a look, this one’s a doozy.

A WiP and completed version of a shot I made for Avatar Abridged Chapter 6. We put alot of work into how we handle Katara, so while the process of making this shot was a little long, I thought it worked out wonderfully for the episode. This is actually based on a shot we didn’t use from “Imprisoned” so it made alot of sense to repurpose it here, to give Katara this moment in the episode. I had to redo the shadows and draw Jerry’s blanket. 
It’s become one of my favorite Katara moments in Avatar Abridged where we got to see her handle losing Sokka and Aang. We wrote Katara as a very harsh character, so it’a fascinating to peel away the layers and see some genuine vulnerability.
