IT'S FINALLY DONE! :D Here's an 8 page comic of one of the very very beginning scenes of The Hollowridge Disaster: the moment Knife and Adri meet Dianne.

Having done this comic means a lot to me for a myriad of reasons, but the main ones are that I really wanted to get better at paneling and do more interesting texture work. And, this is also both a homage to my older HR comics, and my (successful!) attempt at getting back into making comics for this story, so it truly feels like I'm in my prime with it and it's finally somewhere that I am immensely proud of :] so please enjoy this scene in quite literally all it's glory!

[Disclaimer: this is a standalone scene (of a larger story), but it's not the beginning of a long form comic. Currently I have no plans of doing that, but I would like to do more of these short ones! ]

Aquamarine Ring: A dazzling aquamarine ring enchanted with the power of the seas. The silver band has tarnished from the previous wearer's sins, though they were brought to justice and cleansed through rehabilitation.

Dragon's Scales: A small pile of sepia-colored scales that hold the power of the earth. Rare and valuable, the dragon they came from was hidden away from the world by a god for eons to protect them from hunters and other dangers.

Flowers From Another Era: Four flowers, tied in a bouquet by a scarlet ribbon. Between the lavender and violet petals lies tainted knowledge that destroyed a fruitful love between gods on a distant planet eons ago.

Grass Ring: A small, shoddily-woven ring made from dead grass, containing echoes of childhood promises uttered in a land of frost. Maybe the ring’s maker, after disappearing from the world for three months before returning, acted on those vows.

Painted Teacup: A small teacup with floral designs hand-painted by an artist. A jagged crack runs down its side, severing the stem of a crimson carnation.

Wanted Posters: Two wanted posters for the same criminal. The two people who were tracking this target crossed paths, and in doing so drastically altered each of their fates in radically different ways.

Avian Necklace: A silver necklace with a pendant in the shape of a bird mid-flight, imbued with a strange energy strong enough to shackle its wearer in paradise forever.

Chess Pawn: A finely-carved chess pawn. If life is a chessboard, then so too are people pawns in other's games. Based on this pawn’s pristine condition, whoever controlled it loved it quite dearly.

Double-Sided Coin: A coin where both sides show the same pattern, allowing its desperate holder to not need to rely on luck to win this bet and secure their prize.

Fool's Mask: A red and white mask with an eerie smile. When the clock strikes twelve, its wearer shall don it and dance with his love for their affection.

I wanted to ask what Odysseus and Menelaus' roles were in the au :0 because I'm being so fr rn I'm this close to just upheaving the entire thing and basing it on your fic it's so good

ahhh im so glad you liked it, thank you for your gorgeous inspiring art lol that odysseus art with him saying he would die if his engine failed actually inspired his whole role in the story lol. odysseus was the ferrari team principal in my story, so he’s achilles’s coach. and menelaus was the head of marketing/pr for ferrari, basically i needed him to be closer to team leadership and agamemnon, who i placed as owner of both ferrari and mercedes 🤩

The first thing Leviathan hears each morning is “I love you.”

You say it quietly (just for him!) as though it’s the easiest, most natural thing in the world. Levi thinks that you might even say it when he’s sleeping. He hears you saying it in his dreams, he knows that much. He also knows that he’s grown scarily attached to waking up to it each morning. 

(what he means is that he’s scarily attached to you, but he won’t admit that just yet)

He's hesitant to admit how badly he needs to hear your soft voice easing through the syllables as he blinks away the sleep in his eyes and brings a hand up to wipe away the drool on his chin. 

Some mornings, the good ones, Levi wakes up and feels warmth spread across his clammy, pale skin as the simple words leave your lips. His heart jumps in his chest, giving him the fainest idea of how many seconds have passed. There are times when he’s with you that he has these anxieties that tell him he’ll run out of time, but these mornings are different. On the good days he feels like he’s stuck forever in a moment just with you. He’ll accept your kisses, cuddle and snuggle into your body, and truly feel the endless love you claim to have for him.

And though they now rarely happen, there’s the other mornings, the not-so-good ones. Levi might groan or turn away from you, shoving his head into the pillow to avoid having to face you. He feels sick when he hears it, struck suddenly by all the nasty thoughts he has about himself that hit him all at once and make him think he’s undeserving of your love or that you’re lying to him. You always know what to do when he’s like this. You’ll carefully take him into your arms, letting him hide his face in your chest, and run your hands through his hair. 

Sometimes you take the time to tell him each and every one of the things you love about him (the list, Levi finds, is never ending), other times you distract him by talking about all his favorite things (until he inevitably, always pulls himself out of his hiding spot to join in), and sometimes you don’t say anything at all and instead kiss and hold him until he can breathe easy again. Whatever you do, it’s always the thing he didn’t know he needed most, and he is eternally grateful. 

Each morning he rises to “I love you.” Each morning he wakes up with you next to him. He’s slowly let go of the fear that one morning he will wake up and you’ll be gone. You love him, you tell him, and he knows it. 

Of course Levi tells you he loves you too (all the time now that he's more brave about it), but he secretly hopes that one day you’ll sleep in; maybe you’ll get sick, or your alarm won’t go off for whatever reason (or maybe you have your bad mornings too). Levi awaits the morning it’ll happen so he can say “I love you,” and you’ll know just how lucky he feels each morning.

Hello! So like I've been having that Lights, Camera, Sing Your Sins AU rent free in my head for a while, and thought this up.

Since the prisoners weren't allowed to meet at first, they could hear the others practicing their singing nearby/next door. Some are awed by how passionate they put into their songs (eg: Haruka & Shidou), how into it (eg: Fuuta & Kotoko), how emotional (eg: Kazui), etc. This allowed the prisoners to imagine what the others are like.

...Then there's Mikoto with Red going all out with their MeMe song and it stunned everyone into silent fear until the prisoners meet him and go "YOU SANG THAT!?!"

No matter how big the facilities are, I'd imagine it would be difficult to keep ten people undergoing a full filming process completely separate from each other. Though they don't actually see each other, they overhear recording booth sessions while while walking down the hall. They spot unique outfits and props in the costume closet. They hear crew members giving Jackalope weird updates ("sir, where do you want the massive tarot cards when they're finished?" "the order of thousands of fake flowers has arrived" "we ran out of medieval outfits" etc.) They see teams lugging around massive set pieces from one stage to another. They hear a few hushed rehearsals from behind dressing room doors.

Mahiru totally tears up listening to Kazui. Meanwhile Kazui is blown away by Mahiru's enthusiasm and speed. Yuno thinks After Pain sounds really fun. Amane is awed at the other songs, (she's never even heard rock music before). Kotoko finds herself singing bits of Weakness. Muu is moved by Shidou. Fuuta is torn between being jealous of Mikoto's song and excited there's someone else with some yelling.

And so of course, the prisoners go crazy trying to piece together predictions about their upcoming cellmates. One the experiment begins, they subconsciously start matching up the voices they remembered hearing with their expectations. I think Shidou, Amane, and Kotoko would surprise people the most -- it seems hard hard to get a day-to-day read on them from their songs alone. Fuuta is simultaneously exactly what people were expecting and nothing like what they thought. Everyone's ideas of Mahiru were spot on. Haruka sang so confidently that the group is surprised to hear him stutter so often. Anyone who heard a bit of Meme is shocked when they meet Mikoto and make the connection. When asked about it, he just shrugs and laughs innocently, which only makes it harder to believe. Fuuta, excited to find someone else who did a rock song, is sorely disappointed at first.
