By • Olalekan Fagbade Suspects who allegedly killed Police officer, others arrested by Soldiers No fewer than 15 suspects have been arrested by the military in Plateau State for various offences bothering on kidnapping, arms dealing, cattle rustling, drug peddling. This was disclosed in a statement issued and signed by the Army Media Officer, Capt Oya James on Tuesday. The statement says two of the suspects identified as Jerome Bulus Alamba and Denis Yohanna were arrested on November 6 at Fang village in Riyom LGA of the state in connection with the murder of one Abdulkarim Saidu on 24 October 2023. The statement added that on the following day, November 7, 2023, another troops of Sector 5 OPSH arrested one Alhaji Yakubu Shanono in Bokkos community, Bokkos LGA of Plateau State in connection with the killing of a Mobile Police personnel attached to OPSH. “On the same day, troops apprehended 75 cows for farm destruction at Kassa village in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State. “On 8 November 2023, troops in conjunction with NDLEA Pankshin Command conducted raid operations to the hideout of illicit drug peddlers at Bargar village in Kanam LGA of Plateau State. The troops arrested 4 suspects and handed them over to NDLEA for further action. “Additionally, on 9 November 2023, troops of Operation HAKORIN DAMISA IV arrested 2 criminals, Haruna Yusuf and Zubairu Jibril while trying to bypass troops’ checkpoint at Chanso village in Mangu LGA of Plateau State. The criminals were arrested in possession of one rifle. “On 10 November 2023, troops acting on credible information arrested a suspected kidnapper, Mr Sani Suleiman at Mista Ali village in Jos North LGA. On the same day, troops deployed at Zangon Kataf arrested a suspected kidnapper, Mr Anu Usman at Kamaru village in Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State. “Similarly, troops recovered 144 cows rustled by unidentified gunmen during a gun duel with the miscreants at Sat village in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State. On 11 November 2023, troops of Sector 6 OPSH rescued 2 kidnapped victims, Micheal James and John D at Angwan Buka village in Riyom LGA of Plateau State. The rescued victims were kidnapped while on transit along Hawan Kibo road in Riyom LGA, and have since been reunited with their families. “On 12 November 2023, combined troops of OPSH and Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a notorious arms dealer, Bala Inusa also known as Maigero in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State. “The suspect who has been on the wanted list of security agencies was arrested with one AK- 47 rifle, one Ak-47 magazine, one pistol, 417 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one Toyota Starlet vehicle with plate number Adamawa – MUB – 779JB, and one Dual SIM Tecno phone. Furthermore, another gunrunner was arrested during a sting operations on 12 November 2023 at Danmakasuwa Mariri axis of Southern Kaduna with one AK-47 rifle. “Similarly, on 12 November 2023 troops of OPSH Special Force while responding to a distress call at Dakanung village in Bokkos LGA of Plateau State arrested one miscreant Bala Yerima and items recovered includes: one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine,6 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and a red coloured Boxer motorcycle. “In a related development, based on intelligence gathering, troops captured one Davou Barry of Gyel District at Kara Market of Bukuru Area of Jos South LGA with 54 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition one round of 7.62mm NATO ammunition while trying to make an exchange," the statement reads. It added that within the week, Operation SAFE HAVEN secured the conviction of 2 suspects, Zubairu Usman and Saminu Haruna, who were charged with criminal conspiracy and theft. The suspects, James said, pleaded guilty and were sentenced to 2 years imprisonment each with an option of fine. “A total of 15 suspects were arrested in connection with various crimes. Two were arrested for kidnapping, one for dealing in arms, 2 for murder, 4 for peddling illicit drugs and 4 for farm destruction.

Two suspects were also convicted for criminal acts. Additionally, 2 kidnapped victims were rescued, 4 attacks on vulnerable communities were deterred and 7 distress calls were promptly responded to," the statement added.

TROOPS ON SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS TO EXTRICATE ABDUCTED SOLDIER IN ABIA The attention of the Nigerian Army (NA) has been drawn to some publications making the rounds on social media and some mainstream media alleging that troops of Headquarters 82 Division NA invaded Amangu community in Abia state. Considering the weighty nature of the allegation, the Nigerian Army deems it necessary to clear the air on this atrocious incident. On 2 November 2022, a soldier named Staff Sergeant Bassey Ikunugwan, who was officially on leave pass, was abducted along Road Okwu-Ebem Ohafia in Abia State. Consequently, on Thursday 3 November 2022, acting on credible intelligence report, troops embarked on a Search and Rescue Operation at Amangu Village/Forest, having confirmed same as an Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) enclave, where the soldier was reportedly held hostage. During the search and rescue operations, contact was made with members of the proscribed armed groups resulting in exchange of fire. In continuation of the search and rescue operations, on 4 November 2022, troops deployed at Okon Aku in Abia State came in contact with members of the armed groups, during which troops neutralized one of the criminals and recovered one AK 47 rifle with a magazine loaded with 7 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) and one mobile phone. In a follow up operation on 5 November 2022, troops raided another enclave of the groups around Amangu Village in Abia State. During the operation, troops neutralized two of the criminals, while some fled with gunshot wounds. Troops recovered two locally fabricated AK 47 rifles, four Pump Action guns, one locally made Pistol, one Sniper rifle, six magazines, 13 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) and one Motorcycle. "U.S. Nazi domestic terrorist vowing a race war on the loose

When Garza County, Texas Sheriff deputies pulled over a blue 2000 Ford Focus with Washington state license plates in east Texas for driving 42 mph in a 35 mph zone on November 4, the two occupants were wearing “combat/tactical gear” and had numerous war weapons and 2000 rounds of ammunition, among other things, in their vehicle.

A routine check came back with an FBI “Caution Hit” for “a possible terrorist organization” and instructed the Texas lawmen “to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigations,” according to a November 5, 2019 Garza County, Texas arrest report.

The deputies were quickly not interested in traffic enforcement, and they were not really that interested in the small amount of “two grams” of marijuana found under the passenger seat or the two THC ‘vape’ smoking pipes found in the vehicle’s trunk.

However, the Sig Sauer 9mm pistol “under the passenger seat” with “two fully loaded magazines,” “a machete or Bowie knife sticking out the middle console,” an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, two AK-47 semi-automatic rifles in the trunk, “between 1500 and 2000 rounds of ammunition,” and “high-capacity magazines and ammunition that did not match any firearms in their possession,” did catch their attention, according to a FBI criminal affidavit.

But according to both Texas and Federaal law, the weapons were all legal. But the marijuana wasn’t. But the top leader of the domestic terror group, Kaleb Cole, was let free, after his passenger, Aiden Bruce-Umbaugh, took ownership of the contents of the vehicle.

But it was not the weapons that were illegal under either Texas or federal law: It was the small amount of “2 grams” of pot found under the passenger seat and two THC vape pipes that got Bruce-Umbaugh thrown in jail.

When FBI Special Agent Allen Pack, in a November 5 jailhouse interview, asked Bruce-Umbaugh how often he smoked “weed,” Bruce Umbaugh responded “I mean, I’d say every day, but not a lot. Not a large quantity. I don’t consider myself a stoner by any means. It’s just kinda one of those things. I fucking hate stoners to be honest,” according to the federal criminal complaint.

Bruce-Umbaugh can add “stoners” to his long list of other people he hates–including Jews, blacks, immigrants, his father and his two siblings.

It was violating U.S. federal marijuana laws—not being a known domestic terrorist with an arsenal of war weapons and ammunition and calling for terror attacks against schools and houses of worship to spark a race war and the armed overthrow of the U.S. government—that landed Bruce-Umbaugh behind bars.

“As a drug user, this defendant should never have been allowed to possess firearms,” said U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Erin Nealy on November 14, referring to Bruce-Umbaugh.

Being a daily pot smoker, and not the possession by a self-avowed domestic terrorist of an arsenal of semi-automatic weapons and large amounts of ammunition—which is legal in both Texas and under federal law—was enough to charge him with the federal crime of “possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance” which carries a ten-year federal prison sentence.

25 million Americans have unlawfully used controlled substances in the last month, and around 42 million in the last year, although the true numbers are probably larger. The vast majority of these people are pot smokers, who are criminals under federal law even if they live in one of the 23 states that have legalized marijuana use.

Being an avowed white supremacist, Nazi who declares their allegiance to Charlie Manson and Adolph Hitler, advocates for school and church shootings and the armed overthrow of the United States government, and owns an arsenal of weapons, is, however, legal under federal law.

In the case of the Texas traffic stop, the vehicles driver and owner was Kaleb James Cole, 24—a national leader in charge of propaganda and head of Washington state for the Atomwaffen Division.

Everybody knows he is a domestic terrorist, but U.S laws do not require him to be arrested. He had nine weapons confiscated by Washington state in October 2019, he was banned for life from ever entering Canada in July 2019, He was pulled over driving his 2000 blue Ford Focus in Texas in November 2019 with 5 weapons, 2000 rounds of ammunition, and numerous other weapons components and released. On December 16, 2019, Cole had a Washington state arrest warrant issued for violating the earlier Washington state gun confiscation order. But Cole is, according to U.S. federal laws, still allowed to own all the weapons he wants–weapons he has repeatedly stated he will use to commit mass murder against black and brown people, gays, Jews, women, and other people he doesn’t like.

Bruce-Umbaugh’s arrest was at least the 4th member of the Atomwaffen Division who has been arrested and convicted of possessing war weapons after evidence showed they liked to smoke pot in recent months, an out-of-the-box tactic now used by federal law enforcement whose hands are tied by lax federal gun laws and the concommitent protection of free speach constitutional rights which prohibit launching federal criminal investigations targeting anyone because of their political beliefs.

Top Atomwaffen Division Nazi domestic terrorist leader Kaleb Cole and Washington state cell member Aiden Bruce-Uigher have long been on the radar of law enforcement, and are key members of the Atomwaffen Division domestic terror group whose ideological leaders are Adolph Hitler and Charlie Manson.

A few weeks before the November Texas traffic stop, on September 26, 2019, Kaleb Cole had nine weapons confiscasted from him after Washington state law enforcement–using newly enacted state ‘Red Flag” laws–issued an “Emergency Risk Protection Order”, at the request of the FBI, because Cole was determined to be “an immediate threat to public safety.”

“It is believed that Cole has participated in recent firearms training and recruitment efforts at organized ‘Hate Camps.’ These ‘Hate Camps’ have taken place in Washington State. Cole is believed to be an organizer in the ‘Hate Camps’ and his participation is concerning to law enforcement as it appears that he has gone from espousing hate to now taking active steps or preparation for an impending ‘race war,’” reads the September Emergency Risk Protection Order by Seattle Washington police. “These ‘Hate Camps’ also show various Atomwaffen Division members in skull masks making threats of mass violence (threats to kill or gas the Kikes).”

“Kaleb Cole poses a serious threat to public safety by having access to and possession of firearms and a concealed pistol license. Cole has a valid concealed pistol license issued by Whatcom County (Washington) Sheriff’s Office, #WH0010434,” reads the “Extreme Risk Protection Order” submitted to the King County Washington Superior Court by the Seattle Police Department.

Within weeks, Cole had violated that order when he was pulled over in Post, Texas wheren the vehicle he owned and was driving was found to contain numerous weapons."

Fuze Rework ??

i know this blog is for memes or bad quality fuze doodles but for once i guess i might do something really serious and kind of my take on the whole state of fuze and his gadget in the game as of now.

now this some of you might recognize is indeed the win-rate,pick rate graph

and as we can see fuze is in the under-picked and too weak zone.

and i want to kind of review or give my opinions on the whole situation and why this might be the case. and kind of give my ideas or suggestions as to improve the hostage killing performance.

1.Weapons

fuze has 3 choices when it comes to primary weapons.

so far he is the only operator in the entire game to have option to use shield as a primary weapon even through his ability does not relate to shield in any sort of way.

one of the best light machine guns in the game having excellent and consistent time to kill firing large 7.62x54R round from 100 round box for long sustained fire.

his primary weapons in summary:

can 3 shot any armor type operators without rook armor without putting them into down but not out state at above average rate of fire.

in other words his primary weapons have if not the best killing potential in the entire game.

to balance this excellent damage output how ever both weapons have considerable amount of both vertical and horizontal recoil along with spread. to make things worse the grim sky patch introduced even more recoil for both fire arms making it even more difficult for weapon to be control.

how ever just like any other weapon with right amount of practice along with the attachments both weapons can be tamed and controlled.

over shadowed by pmm still very nice spam fire pistol with high magazine size and non existent recoil to fullfill it’s role as back up weapon.

conclusion:

overall fuze’s weapons aren’t the problem. infact it might well be only reason why he will be picked to utilize the out standing weaponry.

2.Armor and Speed

●○○ Slow

Fuze is the one of two heavy armor attackers in the whole game as of making this post (pre wind bastion season) other being montange who is a pure forced shield operator. and this makes him kind of only heavy armor operator on attack that is not a shield operator.

in theory.. in theory(let me remind you) more armor you have more protection you will receive but in exchange you will be slower because steel + kevlar armor plates are heavy.and the less armor you have less protection you will get but be faster.

but in reality this is not the case thanks to siege’s ridiculous headshot damage multiplier 90% of weapons can headshot any armor type operators in the head across the map. (other 10% being special weapons or weapons that have different projectiles) Speed is always in favor over armor.

faster speed means that the harder to be headshot meaning harder to be instant killed as the head is much smaller compared to body. and the faster moving small target will be far less likely to be hit than same size target moving at slower speed.

also siege is a game about making a one way angles and countering some of the most mind fucking angles possible.and again faster operators can move them selves out of line of fire from angle holding anchors much easier. giving them an upper hand.

to be fair this is the case of most heavy armor operators in general however since fuze is attacker. he has to make the push or perform a flank. unlike other heavy armor defensive operators who can anchor a position and be some what effective. and in the process since he is much slower than other operators in attacking side. he will be much more venerable to those mind fucking defensive angles than most operators.

also since he is attacker there for he has to face roamers. but this harder than most operators since he is slower to react. making him easy target for flanking defensive roamers.

fuze is able to equip shield. and try to utilize more of his armor. but how ever shield has problem of 1st person and 3 rd person protective surface area not matching. also this slows fuze down even more than he really is as well as giving poor visibility may leave him being more venerable to roamers and traps than he already is.

overall in the current state of the game where having decent armor isn’t advantageous as being fast and agile being a slow heavy armor isn’t a advantageous thing.

3.Gadget : Cluster Bomb

last and not the least the fuze’s signature hostage murdering device.

APM-6 matryoshka.

this device of doom can be placed on surfaces that are destructible these include :

castle barricade

barricade + glass

floors

hatches

walls

which then launches 5 grenades at other side in set pattern that starts from right to left. and 3 rd grenade always shooting straight perpendicular to the placement.

each grenades have 4.2 meter blast radius where 2.5 meter total kill zone and 1.7 meter pure damaging zones where it will still be able to kill light armored operators.

also grenades do same damage as nitro cells

to balance this destructive power. fuze’s cluster charges makes a lot of noise while it is being placed onto the surface such as barricade. it is suicidal to just place the charge onto normal wooden barricades unless there is a proper flash bang support from the team.

Fuze had option to use flash bangs at the launch of the game. but after the mid season reinforcements patch in operation health took away his flash bangs and replaced them with smoke grenades.

how ever it is worth mentioning due to his gadget only being able to be placed on the destructible surfaces. often times he will be near hatches and floors and breaching charge enables new breaching routes and sight-lines assisting his flank and the fact that it is and was only way for fuze to create it. it is to this day in more of favor than the smoke grenade.

noises are often very good source of location leading to kills in rainbow six. to avoid from getting killed while placing the cluster charge, safest bet when placing it to windows is the windows with glasses intact as it completely muffles the sound of cluster charge being placed.

however in most cases this might not really be possible. due to defenders trying to spawn kill attackers at the start of the game the attackers will instinctively shoot the barricades and windows at the start of the game from their spawn.

and all it takes is even 1 or 2 holes on windows for cluster charge sound to be audible on the receiving end.

or sometimes defenders will decide to just pull off all barricades and then fuze again can be seen while he is placing the charge and is easy kill for defenders.

hatches well.. are bit better in a sense that external hatches are not technically reinforceable without using exploit. but however most cases internal hatches gets reinforced by defenders. and this makes fuze completely useless on some objectives and maps. such as tower and it’s dining room objective.

walls are bit better in a sense not all of them gets reinforced both externally and internally but still the sound audible is as loud as placing it onto barricades.

also having a set directional pattern where grenades being launched is problematic as it is in some cases close to impossible to send grenades into the direction that you desire without repositioning yourself 180 degrees. however this not always possible as cover or props might block your way. or repelling won’t be available near that certain window. also since it has set pattern it takes avoiding cluster charge easier if it is deployed horizontally, hence really forcing it to be used vertically.

and last but not the least. at times the defenders often anchor themselves down in a position where there isn’t any destructible surfaces and windows nearby making fuze’s gadget useless.

in short summary:

fuze’s gadget is most powerful gadget in the attacking team or even the entire game however it’s great fire power is balanced out by environmental factors and the gadget’s nature. hinders it’s effectiveness drastically.

so in final conclusion fuze being a slow heavy armor operator in a game that favors speed over armor . and the fact that gadget being very unsettle and being able to be deployed in very limited places with set pattern. weigh him down to be the least picked and under powered operator in the whole game as of now.

4.Rework idea ?

now this is my take on the idea of ways to improve the gadget. you might disagree or thinking it might not be as effective feel free to tell me. or tell me to add hostage wall hack vision that we all been waiting for .

First thing that should be improved on the gadget should be more of stealth and element of surprise over most things. charges should be alot quieter while it is being placed onto the barricades.

give gadget ability to change the starting point of grenade dispersion pattern.meaning that player should be able to choose between two patterns. one where the grenades shoot from right to left in traditional way or to shoot the grenades from left to right in a identical pattern. and it shall be done by a animation where fuze turns the piston of the cluster charge 180 degrees which will takes about 2 seconds.

additionally give cluster charge ability to be thrown into the room where it will land onto closest surface then it will launch grenades into the room with similar pattern, however by doing this total number of grenades launched will be reduced down to 4 (will not shoot 3rd grenade that will fly straight or perpendicular to the charge) also the blast radius of each grenade will be reduced from 4.2 meters back to 2.5m meters.if thrown.

the charge will have to be converted to throwing charge with N button and will also have to be manually done. this should be done by fuze inserting piston blocker into the buttom of the charge. and again it will takes about 2 seconds before hand.

he will be able to do this with a shield aswell and keep his shield in his loadout option.now when you throw the charge with shield equipped fuze will expose some of his body and head similar to when you aim down sights with shield.

as with the armor i would and i personally hope ubisoft kind of rebalance the whole armor and speed system from the ground up. to make headshot effective but not so much of dumb instant kill mechanic that ignore all form of balance and grants instant kill like it is current in the game. as it not only is bad for fuze but entire heavy armor operators in general. and the fact that even after 3 years of dlcs we still don’t have heavy armor attacker.

New Assault Weapon Ban and How California Guns are getting around them?

There has been an ongoing cat and mouse game between law enforcement agencies, gun makers and gun owners in regards to assault weapon ban in California. The law enforcers struggle to come up with futuristic bans that would make California a safer place for everyone but the gun fanatics are clever enough to either come with hacks that can make the whole ban motor will find loopholes in it that could easily skip them jail time. This happens because most of the time the firearms that come up in the radar of law agencies are the ones that are most popular among gun enthusiasts, like AR-15s, AR-10s or AK-47s assault rifles or other handguns.

Although there are many California approved versions of your favorite firearms like California shotguns, California handguns and California legal rifles, I guess the Californians want to exercise their full right of the Second Amendment. On the other hand, the legislators have their fears stemming from back in the 1980s when a gunman did mass killings in Stockton schoolyard and reportedly fired over a hundred rounds in just a time span of 3 minutes. That is the kind of destruction you can have if assault weapons are not restricted with such bans.

This is just one incident, there are several other grave incidents that followed over the course of a few years making the law enforcers to rethink the need of such dangerous firearms, thus a new assault weapon ban to combat the loopholes. Let’s look in depth at the assault weapon bans over the years and evaluate how effective the California guns are.

Assault Weapon Ban in California

Before going into the details of the ban, I first want you to understand the main motive behind it. The main reason behind every ban imposed on assault weapons is to regulate military style assault weapons and high capacity magazines which allows the gunman to fire a large amount of rounds without having the need to reload.

The ban imposed on assault weapons wants to restrict the sale, transfer, manufacturing and importing of any assault weapon that has a detachable magazine and also has any of the military features like pistol grip, grenade launcher, detachable stock, threaded barrel or folding telescoping. The same goes for the semi automatic pistols, revolvers or any kind of handguns.

The ban also prohibits the general public from acquiring any semi automatic rifle or handgun with a fixed magazine which accepts more than 10 rounds. A fixed magazine should only have a capacity of 10 rounds and not more than that to be legal. Only these rifles for sale in California are legal. The semiautomatic shotguns also shouldn’t have any folding, telescoping or detachable stock. It should also have no pistol grip. The California shotguns should not accept more than 5 rounds with a fixed magazine and a detachable magazine for shotguns is fully prohibited. Moreover no forward grip, rocket launcher, grenade launcher or revolving cylinder shotguns are allowed.

If you lawfully possess any of the weapons before the ban was imposed you can keep it. All the assault weapons that have a manual action are legal as well as all assault weapons used by law enforcers, retired law enforcement agents and police and military are legal. In order to possess any of the assault weapons you need to go through a thorough background check as well as ensuring that no convicted person gets their hands on any of the firearms.

How California Guns are reshaping themselves to fit in?

As I mentioned earlier, the gun owners, gun lovers and law enforcement agencies are all playing a cat and mouse game with each other. When a ban is imposed on the assault rifles the gun manufacturers are quick to find a solution that is acceptable in the books of law but doesn’t make much difference to neither the appearance nor the functionality of the firearms.

A few examples of how California guns have adapted to the bans are as follows- the flash suppressor is banned in assault weapons but a muzzle brake isn’t. Both of these are added on the end of the barrel and the muzzle brake can be a substitute for a flash suppressor. A pistol grip is also banned in California shotguns and rifles for sale in California as it allows the thumb to wrap around the grip but the manufacturers were quick to replace it with a fin-grip which is totally allowed. Bullet button is allowed the reloading of the magazine much swiftly which was a major concern for the authorities so it was banned in 2006 but the solution for it was a partial disassembly of the firearms which means that although the time for reloading is not that quick it’s also not so slow as well.

Conclusion

Assault rifles are one of the most favorite and purchased firearms around the globe as they are multi-functional. With the bans imposed on them it’s difficult to have them at their best but thanks to the gun lovers we do get the next best form of them available in California.

Self-Described Member of “Boogaloo Bois” Sentenced to Prison for Riot Conviction

MINNEAPOLIS – A Texas man was sentenced today to 52 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for rioting during the 2020 civil unrest, announced U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger.

According to court documents, Ivan Hunter, 24, admitted to traveling from San Antonio, Texas, to Minneapolis with the intent to participate in a riot. Hunter is a self-described member of the Boogaloo Bois, a loosely connected group of individuals who espouse violent anti-government sentiments. The term “Boogaloo” itself references the group’s belief in an impending second civil war in the United States that includes a violent uprising against the government.

On the night of May 28, 2020, within hours of arriving in Minneapolis, Hunter met up with other Boogaloo Bois members, obtained an AK-47 assault rifle, and blindly fired 13 rounds into the entryway of the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct building. At the time of the shooting there were other individuals, believed to be looters, still inside the building. Hunter’s actions were captured on surveillance video and law enforcement recovered from the scene discharged rifle casings consistent with an AK-47 style firearm. Hunter’s gunfire caused approximately $85,000 in damage to the building.

According to court documents, upon returning to Texas, Hunter made various statements on social media describing the violence in which he engaged in Minneapolis. On June 3, 2020, officers with the Austin Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a pick-up truck for numerous traffic violations. Hunter was one of three occupants in the vehicle. Hunter, the front seat passenger, had six loaded magazines for an AK-47 style assault rifle affixed to a tactical vest he was wearing. Officers found three semi-automatic rifles on the rear seat of the vehicle, one loaded pistol in plain view next to the driver’s seat, and another loaded pistol in the center console. Several days after the traffic stop, federal agents became aware of Hunter’s online affiliation with Boogaloo Bois member Steven Carrillo, who recently pleaded guilty in the Northern District of California to the murder of a Federal Protective Service Officer he committed May 29, 2020.

This case was the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew R. Winter, and Trial Attorney Daniel Gardner of the National Security Division's Counterterrorism Section.

Army, Navy kill five IPOB fighters in Imo

Personnel of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy have killed five fighters of the Indigenous People of Biafra during a gun battle that occurred at Ejemekuru in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. The encounter with IPOB’s fighters is coming a few days after a fierce gun duel between the troops and IPOB fighters occurred in the Orsu LG of the state. The troops killed an IPOB fighter in the operation and recovered three Improvised Explosive Devices, one Toyota Highlander SUV, one Hilux vehicle, eight rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, among others from their hideouts. As contained in a statement issued by the Director, Army Public Relations, Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu on Wednesday, the troops, during the combined operations, recovered one AK-47 rifle and two pump-action Semi-automatic rifles, among others. The statement read, “In a successful raid operation conducted into identified IPOB/ESN camps on Tuesday 5 March 2024, combined Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy troops have neutralised five armed fighters in a firefight that ensued at Ejemekuru in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. “On overpowering the Armed separatists’ resistance with overwhelming firepower, the gallant troops recovered a significant cache of dangerous weapons including one AK-47 rifle, 2 Pump-action Semi-automatic rifles, one locally fabricated gun, 2 magazines, and 3 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. The troops also recovered 2 motorbikes, 2 mobile handsets, and a Camouflage jungle hat.” Onyema also said that 15 kidnapped victims in counter-insurgency operations conducted in the North West were rescued. “In another operation same day, troops deployed for counter-insurgency operations in North West Nigeria successfully rescued 15 kidnap victims in Tsohuwar Tasha area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State. “The vigilant troops responded swiftly to a distress call and immediately mobilised to the scene of the incident where they engaged the kidnappers in a shootout, overpowering and compelling them to abandon their victims, as they scampered into the forest. Daily Trust reported that following an order by the military high command to clear terrorists across the length and breadth of the country, troops attached to different operations in the theatres have continued to launch offensive onslaughts against the adversaries. The spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Onyema Nwachukwu, said troops of 2 Battalion, while acting on actionable intelligence on Tuesday, staged an ambush against marauding terrorists, where three of them were neutralised after a fierce gun duel. Nwachukwu, a brigadier-general, while showing the pictures of the neutralised enemies to journalists in Abuja, also disclosed that one of the soldiers who was part of the operation paid the supreme price during the encounter. “During the operations, troops neutralised three insurgents in a fierce firefight, while others escaped in disarray. “Troops recovered from the fleeing insurgents, a bandolier containing 111 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, one AK-47 magazine, two motorcycles, one set of high-frequency communication radio and two mobile phones. Sadly, one soldier paid the supreme price during the encounter.” Speaking further, Nwachukwu said in another operation on the same day, troops of 1 Brigade on a stop-and-search operation intercepted a suspected ammunition courier in Birnin Magaji LGA of Zamfara State. He added, “A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was on a mission to deliver ammunition to a bandit leader named Gishiri. “The vigilant troops recovered a bag containing 224 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one mobile phone and the sum of N4,000 from the courier.” The army spokesman said the suspect was in custody and undergoing further investigations. In the same vein, Nwachukwu disclosed that a notorious Boko Haram terrorists commander, identified as Bulama Bukar, surrendered to troops of the 5 Brigade in Gubio during another operation in the North East theatre. He stated, “The surrendered terrorist was the commander of the BHT Camp Tapkin Chad at Gilima village in Abadam LGA of Borno State. Items recovered from the surrendered terrorist include one AK-47 rifle, five magazines, 44 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one magazine carrier jacket, one knife, one motorcycle and the sum of N23,500. Yoruba country fomenter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has hauled the Muhammadu Buhari-drove central government under the watchful eye of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Naija News reports that the Sunday Igboho is requesting the unequivocal arrival of his associates captured by agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) at his home in the Soka space of Ibadan on July 1.

Addressing The PUNCH on Thursday, counsel for the Yoruba Nation fomenter, Chief Yomi Aliyu (SAN) uncovered that he had documented an activity under the steady gaze of a Federal High Court in Abuja for the arrival of the 13 captured people.

The legal counselor didn’t give the subtleties of the suit, yet he said representative for Igboho, Olayomi Koiki, had given an articulation on Wednesday that the DSS didn’t permit legal advisors to see Igboho’s helpers in its guardianship.

Asked what step he was taking to guarantee their delivery, Aliyu said, “We have documented an activity under the watchful eye of a Federal High Court in Abuja concerning their bail. We documented it today.”

Naija News reviews that the DSS had assaulted the home of Igboho in Soka, Ibadan on July 1, 2021.

After the attack, the mysterious police strutted 12 of Igboho’s devotees in Abuja, saying one different was being profiled.

The DSS who said two of Igboho’s watchmen were killed during a weapon duel, proclaimed the fomenter needed.

It said a joint group of safety agents assaulted Igboho’s home right off the bat Thursday dependent on a knowledge report that he was accumulating arms.

“A group of joint security agents struck the home of Sunday Adeyemo at Soka in Ibadan. This depended on insight that he had amassed arms in the spot,” said DSS representative, Peter Afunaya.

Afunaya added that the group looked through the house and in this manner recuperated seven AK-47 attack rifles, three siphon activity weapons, 30 completely energized AK-47 magazines, 5,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammo, five cutlasses, one Jack blade, one pen blade, two gun holsters, a couple of optics, a wallet containing $5, neighborhood and worldwide driving licenses in his name, ATM cards, a German home grant No. YO2N6K1NY bearing his name; two whistles, 50 cartridges and 18 walkie-talkies.

However, Igboho, who has since denied the cases said the weapons were planted by the DSS.

Fedorov Avtomat

Kalashnikov Concern, the Russian small arms manufacturer which formed from the former Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, as part of an ongoing series looking at rare and interesting Russian firearms have released a video and some great photos showing off a rare example of Vladimir Fedorov’s Avtomat (automatic carbine).

In the early 1900s Vladimir Fedorov (Fyodorov) began developing a semi-automatic infantry rifle, chambered in 7.62x54R with a rotating bolt. The first prototypes were completed in 1906, however, these suffered from failures to extract. Federov joined the Weapons Section of the Main Artillery Commission in 1900, which was responsible for both foreign and domestic weapons testing and inspection. Federov probably encountered a great many designs and a period working with Sergei Mosin no doubt encouraged him to develop his own designs. By 1911, Fedorov had begun work on a new design, with the assistance of Vasily Degtyaryov, it was ready to submit it for testing. Tested against a design by Fedor Tokarev the Imperial Russian government ordered 150 Fedorov's for troop trials.

Still chambered in 7.62x54R, the rifle used a short recoil action. Russian service ammunition proved to be too powerful for the rifle’s action and in 1912, he began working on chambering his automatic rifle in a smaller prorietary 6.5mm rimless cartridge. this was intended to make the weapon more controllable and reliable.

In 1916, the decision was made to switch to the readily available Japanese 6.5x50mmSR cartridge. This round was chosen as the Imperial Russian Army at the time was using a substantial number of 6.5 Arisaka rifles to allay war shortages. Additionally, Fedorov made some fundamental changes to the design following a trip to France in 1915, to study French small arms and production techniques. Fedorov decided to make his rifle select fire capable and increase the weapon’s magazine capacity from 5 to 25 rounds to allow his rifle to be used in the ‘walking fire’ role pioneered by the CSRG 1915 Chautchat automatic rifle. Fedorov’s Avtomat was ready by 1916, and a small production run of the new Avtomats were readied,. These were issued to the 189th Izmail’skiy Regiment for troop trials. It is believed these early Avtomats saw action in December 1916

The eruption of the Russian Civil War in 1917, caused massive upheaval and Russia's exit from World War One. Fedorov sided with the revolutionaries who commissioned him to build 9,000 Avtomats.

Production was initially to be established at Sestroretsk in 1918, but was moved to the old Madsen factory at Kovrov. Production proved slow and only 3,200 Avotmat 1916s were made by October 1925. Matters were not helped when Fedorov was imprisoned by the Bolshevik authorities when they felt he was sabotaging production. He was released when Degtyaryov intervened and convinced them otherwise. The lack of tooling and machinists held production back and Fedorov’s production staff were forced to hand finish many parts.

The Avtomat was a complex weapon which was difficult to disassemble. It used a short recoil action with a breech which was locked by a cammed locking block. The rifle fed from a 25-round box magazine with a safety and fire-selector inside the trigger guard.

Fedorov's guns entered service in the early 1920s before being placed in reserve in 1928, due to the 6.5x50 round complicating the supply chain. They again saw action during the Soviet invasion of Finland in 1939-40 when they were issued to mobile ski units as the Red Army had very few submachine guns in service. and a light, automatic weapon was desperately needed.

There is little doubt that Fedorov’s weapon was ahead of its time and depending on your chosen definition of what qualifies a weapon to be an ‘assault rifle’ then the Fedorov Avtomat is perhaps the earliest mass produced, formally issued assault rifle. Developed long before the tactical landscape that lead to the creation of the StG-44 and manufactured in extremely difficult circumstances.

Fedorov continued to develop small arms working on automatic rifles and a series of light machine guns with Degtyarov during the late 1920s and early 1930s. Fedorov retired in 1933, as a Lieutenant General, but was recalled when World War Two broke out. He remained on staff at the Artillery Academy until 1953 and died in 1966, aged 92.
