I am on a roll! Here’s Cantilever’s official design! I know they don’t look much like a rooster but I fell in love with Marc’s design when I was sketching and coloring it so I couldn’t help myself.

Uh… This is an idea I had like a LONG time ago… Back in 2022.

So, this is Marc as an Akuma, you’ll notice my old signature at the bottom left there, that’s how old this is

Yeah, so anyway,

Powers:

Dream Travel: He can travel into peoples dreams by clawing at the air over a sleeping person, creating this blue portal that allows him to go into their dreams

Dream Stealing/Nightmare Weaving: Steals good dreams by finding the person having the dream in their dream and then scaring them by turning into their fear or just his full bear form. As their good dream turns into a nightmare, the good dream turns into a small star (notice the small stars on his bear arms)

Bear Form: Can turn into a bear that looks something like…

He’s much larger in this form, has sharper claws, and a powerful bite

Dream Transfer: Can transfer the good dreams to whoever he chooses (Kiran)

Weaknesses

If Kiran gets hurt, he will immediately rush to his aid and hug him for a few seconds before turning his anger toward whoever hurt his little brother

People not being afraid of him, so sort of a Horrificator-type thing, and one or two of the good dreams returns to the person he stole them from

Cause

Marc was watching a horror movie one night while he was babysitting Kiran. He thought Kiran was asleep in his room and didn’t know he had come downstairs into the living room while a really gory part was playing on the screen until he heard Kiran crying. Marc quickly turned off the movie and carried Kiran upstairs to his bedroom to try and calm him down, but the damage was already done and Marc couldn’t help but blame himself. Eventually, Hawk/Shadow/Monarch whatever got to him

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6 EPISODE 15 THE RULER

Oh. My. Gosh. This is my favorite episode of Season 6.

I thought El Toro De Piedra had taken that spot after the Julerose Kiss (Also, love that they aired that during lesbian visibility week.)

But The Ruler was amazing. One, Caprikid Transformation. He looks spectacular. I could drone on about that suit for hours. Two, Marc and Nathaniel gay angst.

Also, there’s so many not-so-subtle allusions to Nathaniel’s Mother not wanting him to date Marc if you look carefully. Overall, just a stellar episode. Just spewing my thoughts as I watch it. We’re 3/4 on transformations for the Penalteam crew now. All we need now is Rooster Bold.

And that adorable identity reveal at the end between Caprikid and Rooster Bold was perfect, I loved it so much. Hope that’s a teaser for another reveal to come…

(Also, I’m usually a sucker for villains who can mind control people, but I was not a fan of it this episode lmao)

Protector Akumatized in the Darkverse AU

Marc used to attend a different middle school before transferring to Collège Françoise Dupont. At his previous school, Marc was ruthlessly bullied by a group of assholes and mean girls for years, and none of the teachers or the principal did anything about it.

Marinette didn't know that Marc was bullied until one day when he confided to her about the bullying. This happened while Marinette was over at Marc's house one day and she found some skirts and a couple of dresses in his closet and tried to encourage Marc to wear them to school sometime.

Marc confides to Marinette the reasons why he got bullied (one of them being that he wore skirts and make-up to school) and while it is painful for him to talk about that he ends up breaking down in tears, he reveals the last act of cruelty that the bullies did to him that made him finally confess to his mothers that he was getting bullied and ultimately lead to him switching schools for the new year (it was really terrible and fucked up FYI).

Marc hates making others feel worried about him so he begs Marinette to not say anything to anyone else as he feels that nothing else can be done and he just wants to leave the past in the past.

Marinette still feels angry and wants justice for her friend, but she relents and promises to not say anything about the bullying after looking at the sheer desperation in the writer's eyes to keep Marc's bullying between them.

Cut to the ice skating rink sometime later (a few days, weeks, or months....I don't know), a group of students from Miss Bustier and Ms. Mendelev's class, including Marc and Marinette, are having a group outing.

Marc and Nathaniel are skating together in the beginner's lane since Nath is not very athletically coordinated with his feet (or legs, arms, hands, etc.) and Marc is too bashful to show off his amazing skating skills (yes, Marc is talented at soccer and skating).

While the comic duo is skating together (or Marc basically holding onto Nathaniel to help the red-headed artist maintain his balance and not fall face first again), Marc hears a familiar laugh off in the distance that immediately makes his blood turn cold.

Slowly and reluctantly, Marc turns his attention to the bleachers where he spots his old bullies Sara Lemieux, Cerise Leroux, Colette Lyon, and Lavender Leyva.

At first the bitch quartet doesn't notice him so Marc tries to ignore them, but hearing their voices and stuck-up laughter starts sending him spiraling towards a panic attack.

At one point, Marc notices that their laughter is getting louder and looks at them again to see that they had noticed him at some point and were mocking him. Colette was dipping Cerise in an embrace as the two of them mockingly exchanged romantic pleasantries that were clearly insults towards Marc and Nathaniel.

Seeing the mockery unfold in front of him, Marc starts having a panic attack, reliving flashbacks from his past trauma from being bullied by them and unintentionally dropping Nathaniel during his panicked state. Nathaniel notices this and while confused, he helps Marc off the ice and sits him down on the bleachers.

The others immediately gathered around, concerned about their friend and wanting to know what was wrong. While Nath is trying to disperse the crowd since he knows they were not helping with Marc's panic attack, Marc's eyes shift toward the "Bitch Quartet", who were now mocking Marc's panic attack.

Cerise and Colette were now fake hyperventilating and acting overdramatically panicked while Lavender and Sara laughed along at their antics.

Marinette notices their mockery and how they were making Marc's panic attack worse and becomes furious. She springs up from her seat to confront them, much to the confusion of her friends, but Marc stops her in her tracks by grabbing hold of her hand with his shaky hand. The writer manages to choke out "Please...no..." as his eyes desperately plead to Marinette to not cause a scene.

Again, Marinette relents but she storms off to the bathroom because she was fuming.

Shadow Moth senses both Marinette's anger and Marc's panic, and while he was tempted to take advantage of Marc's panic attack to akumatize him again, he also couldn't pass up a rare opportunity to akumatize Marinette since she has consistently avoided becoming akumatized in the past.

Shadow Moth: Protector, I am Shadow Moth. Those who have tormented your friend have alluded justice for far too long.

Tikki: (remains hidden from Marinette's sight but tries to stop her) No, Marinette! Please! You must resist!

Shadow Moth: Such horrid, privileged people such as those girls never get their comeuppance, do they? No matter how horrendous their actions are they never face the consequences!

Marinette: (grabs onto her head as she struggles to resist the akumatization) T-They...how do they keep getting away with this?! N-No matter what anyone says or does...they never get what they deserve and they just keep making everyone around them suffer! Even when they aren't even near them anymore!

Tikki: (pleads) Marinette, we'll find a way to fix this. There's always a solution, but this isn't it!

Shadow Moth: I am giving you the power to ensure that those who try to escape justice will suffer the consequences of their actions. From now on, you shall act as their judge, jury, and executioner!

Marinette: (her hands slowly start reaching to cover her ears as she continues to struggle resisting Shadow Moth’s influence) I-I…

Tikki: (desperately begging) Marinette, no! You know this isn’t right! You wouldn’t be seeking justice, you would be seeking revenge! Please! Don’t listen to him!

Marinette: (removes her hands from her ears as her face darkens, her fists clenched) Justice…revenge…what difference does it make anymore?

Tikki: (shocked) No….

Marinette: It doesn’t matter how you define it…all that matters is that those girls are punished for what they have done!

Shadow Moth: Yes! And they will receive their just punishment, with my help of course. All I ask in return is that you bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculouses! Do we have a deal?

Tikki: Marinette...

Marinette: (unclenches her fists) As long as I'm around to protect, they shall not escape my justice!

(Marinette is engulfed in darkness as she is transformed into Protector, much to the horror of the ladybug Kwami. However, the tiny kwami of creation notices the Ladybug earrings on the floor that Marinette had dropped when she unclenched her fists, quickly picks them up, and flees the bathroom before Marinette's akumatized transformation is complete.)

For Marinette's akumatization, I believe that she knew that she wouldn't be able to suppress her rage and anger towards those girls for hurting Marc, but she had enough willpower and strength to take off the ladybug miraculous so she wouldn't hand them over to Shadow Moth. Yes, I know that she almost immediately tried to hand over the miraculous when she was almost akumatized in canon, but this is fanon and besides, I think it makes a bit more sense for her to at least try to struggle against being akumatized and using the last bit of her remaining willpower to remove the miraculous so that Tikki could keep them safe and possibly find someone else to be "Ladybug" for a day. Speaking of which, I think that Tikki will most likely either pick Alya to be "Scarabella" or Marc to become the temporary Ladybug Miraculous holder to save Marinette (and unfortunately the Bitch Quartet).

As Protector, I imagine Marinette either having a knight aesthetic with villainous color palettes or perhaps she'll be more like "Princess Justice" with her design, though I think the knight design would be a bit more fitting. Not sure what her powers would be, though I could imagine that they would be something related to knights. She would definitely have a sword and enhanced sword-fighting abilities as well.

And now Penalteam rant. Let's get the non hero stuff out first. Marc, you're one of the better characters in this, but you're in Mrs. Mendalives's class, so why are you here. The scene where Marc has to convince Nathaniel to play football is probably the best scene out of the episode and Adrien having never heard the rules or played football was just frustrating. Also, yes, I will use the snippets of Marc and Sabrina playing football to make an entire friendship between them.

As for the superpower stuff, I think Chloe ends up slightly better than the debuting superheroes. She's still rocking the yellow and black colour scheme, which still looks good on her. However, I'm just sat wondering why Chloe is the one that had to get akumatized again, especially since Queen Banana was a s4 Chloe akumatization episode. I'd much rather have Sabrina being akumatized with Chloe playing a minimal role in said akumatization and its episode over the writers making another Chloe akumatization episode. That's not going to happen, though, because the writers don't use Sabrina in plotlines that don't include Chloe that much. Hell, they could have also made Penalteam the football coach from the episode.

As for the superheroes, based on episode order of the episodes on the fandom miraculous wiki, 4 different superheros debut the episode before the two part finale. Between the Penalteam four, I think Sabrina's got it the worst in terms of being a superhero because the other three at least get to do something in the finale, whereas the finale has Felix using the dog miraculous. The dog is Adoration, which fits Sabrina through her loyalty. Giving Sabrina Barkk feels like both an insult and one of the few characters that Barkk could have been given to that made sense. I refuse to touch on the rooster's power most of the time, but I do wish the limits would have been explained in this episode. Props to Marc for how much his costume changed his appearance compared to other superheros. Also props, I guess, to Marc for being part of the half of the Penalteam four that I believe could have this as a debut episode. I think I like Caprikid's outfit the best between all four of them, though Rooster Bold's costume does come in a close second. I like how the fur adds extra stuff to the costume. However, like a few other heroes, I really wish the hairstyle changed. Despite getting into the fandom post Strikeback, it's funny to see what most people thought the miraculous that Marc and Nathaniel where going to get vs what they got in canon. With Ivan gabing the ox miraculous, I'm confidently stating that he looks amazing with a nose piercing. The mallet kinda reminds me of the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle's wepons for Mario and Rabbid Mario, and I'm unknown whether that counts as a compliment or not. If anyone needs me, I'll be using the Ox's special power of resistance to fuel my Minotaurox and Chat Noir friendship (and by extension Ivan and Adrien friendship) that canon us to much of a coward to really explore.

No no no, I didn't think she WAS the akuma, I thought she should've BEEN the akuma.

Firstly, the episode titles have been bait-and-switches with them being named after past akumas (or miraculous powers) only to effect someone else entirely.

Sublimation -> Sublime's mother, not Marc/Rooster Bold The Illustrhater -> Maya, not Nathaniel Daddycop -> Did end up as Roger, but first went after Sabrina

So having it be Aglae instead of Aurore would've followed the pattern, or if the akuma went for her first but ended up hitting Aurore, OR going for AURORE first but ending up as Aglae.

Secondly, the set up is perfect for Aglae. She literally gives a speech about being proud to be Aurore's friend because she's true to herself and doesn't stoop to needless drama and gossip...only for Aurore to stop being true to herself and stooping to needless drama and gossip. This is even revealed to her, and the entire main cast, that she was making things up and spreading rumors about Adrien and Marinette's relationship on top of posting photos without their knowledge or consent.

Is that not the perfect set up for disappointment? For a broken heart? The perfect opportunity for an akuma to take advantage of you, in the pits of despair?

Alas, it is not so. Aurore was already akumatized before Aglae sees the full scope of Aurore's downfall in character. Sidenote, but I've heard the theory that because of all this, and because of how pointed and contrived it was for Aglae to even bring up gossip and drama in her speech (completely inorganically), that some people think this could be one of Lila's many disguises.

I'm not discounting it.

Arachnus except something happens that makes Marc and Nathaniel get akumatized at the same time. It's love at first sight, and Hivemind and Arachnus begin wreaking havoc on Paris, ala Godzilla and Mothra.

Let’s see… Emani and Lucien team up like in Hell Hound and Demon Doll. Marc gets akumatized to protect Nath from Emani while defending himself from Lucien, Nath gets Akumatized to protect Marc from Lucien and so now he’s the one controlling people instead of Emani controlling him… That works.

Hivemind: *His antennae curl into a heart when he sees Arachnus* Date? Date? Date me now, please?

Arachnus: Later, my love… After we kill them.

Emani: Wait, what?!

Whoever Hivemind stings becomes part of his… well… His hivemind. He can hear their thoughts and speak through them. Arachnus still has his powers

When they aren’t hunting down Lucien and Emani like the animals they are, they’re just causing destruction to get Ladybug and Chat Noir’s attention so they can steal their Miraculous. And when they’re not causing destruction, they’re kissing and cuddling each other

In case you couldn’t tell, they will absolutely go feral if the other is disrespected. When Emani decides to make a certain comment on Hivemind’s appearance, Arachnus just loses it

ladynoir walk in for the weekly miraculous holders meeting and they’re like alrighty girls gays and theys! now that we’ve mastered the art of growing the fuck up so we can continuously use our powers, let’s go over today’s lesson: how to NOT tell your superhero partners your secret identity! and everyone visibly starts getting nervous because clearly most of them do not realize this secret identity thing was that big of a deal and marc and nathaniel start SWEATINGGG when ladybug elaborates on how you shouldn’t even tell your ROMANTIC PARTNERS and how you might THINK it’s all ok but what if they told someone who told someone else who told YOUR SUPERHERO PARTNER and then they GO INSANE OVER IT AND GET AKUMATIZED AND WANT TO KILL YOU AND BLOW UP THE WORLD and chat noir says hey my lady this seems oddly specific i thought we just wanted them to be safe and if it helps i don’t think id ever get akumatized over finding out who you are no matter who you are and she’s like WELL YOUD THINK THAT WOULDNT YOU and marc and nathaniel BURST INTO TEARS and say WE TOLD EACH OTHER and she gets all freaked and rushes them to a corner to figure out what happened and they’re like it’s because we wanted to protect each other and our love against all the evil forces in the world 🥺🥺 and she’s like AWWWWW that is so irresponsible how could you reveal your secret identities like that. AWWWWWWWWWW!!! anyway she forgives them because they’re gay that’s kind of the whole post

Miraculous identity rant

I have seen videos, comments, post about the latest season 6 episode The ruler, mainly the aftermath of how Marc and Nathaniel decided to reveal to each other their hero identities.

People are saying that “ Ladybug should/ would take back their miraculous.” “They shouldn’t have a miraculous if they’re going to do that.” “They’re putting each other at risk.” I’m not saying people cannot have thoughts and opinions about the episode but to me, it sounds homophobic.

I think the lesson on that last scene especially for Nathaniel is that he shouldn’t hide who he is with being bisexual in the term of him hiding his comic.

Marc being the one who had always been there to support his struggles, defending him by making up lies to his mom about a school assignment, jumping into danger to protect him from an akuma and being the shoulder for him to lean on.

I believe that they came to that term of their relationship where they shouldn’t keep any secrets from each other. With Nathaniel wanting to protect Marc but trusting him with that information.

Similar to gang of secret with Marinette dealing with an extremely difficult and stressful situation of now being the new guardian. Alya being her best friend was willing to wait and offer to help with whatever was on her mind until Marinette broke down and revealed to that she was Ladybug.

So why can’t Marc and Nathaniel do the same?

May I also remind the fans that in earlier seasons there has been countless reveals.

First off Chloe not only revealing a miraculous but also transforming into Queen bee in front of everyone and to the world.

Ladybug stated she could not give her the bee miraculous anymore as she had put herself and her loved ones in danger but proceed to still give it to her when they needed help.

Until the episode Miracle Queen where she betrayed them

Chloe had revealed the other heroes identity to the enemy breaking Ladybug’s trust in her.

Hawkmoth already knew Chloe and Kagami but that was just added more to the list with that information and the translation of the miraculous book which were probably saved in Tomoe Tsurugi’s laptop that’s now in Lila’s possession. She knows their identities.

Felix had also done the same in season 5 Emotion during the Diamond dance in front of people but not on screen for the world to see compare to Chloe.

His mom also knows but chose to keep it secret as she loves her son.

Ladybug did demand the miraculous back twice but randomly gave up.

Nino and Alya during season 2 Heroes day. Ladybug gave them the miraculous at the same time being unable to separate them from the current situation they were in even let them be permanent holders too.

When Alya went into hiding as Rena Furtive in season 4 Marinette told her to keep it a secret but she still told Nino.

Nino had also revealed his and Alya’s hero identity to Adrien in Rocket tear and Marinette finding out in Deflagration.

In season 5 Multiplication. Alix as Bunnix was revealed to the whole class by her dad with the addition of a Marc included in episode Reunion and Luka in the season 5 finale probably more but we’re unsure about that.

If they were to get akumatized ?

They haven’t been akumatized since their introduction in season 1 and 2

Puppeteer does not count as Nathaniel was not affected by the akuma but more forcefully transformed and controlled by a doll.

Same goes for Gamer 2.0 as everyone literally got turned into akumatized video game characters.

Even if they were in a upsetting or sad state to where they’re about to get akumatized. They’re able to break the hold knowing that they are both Miraculous holders just like Sabrina did in Daddycop.

What if people saw from the outside ?

Nathaniel’s window was being covered by the sun and if you ever look at building where the sun is shining then you’ll know can’t see nothing but bright light even when it’s setting.

The window could be tainted on the outside for privacy. Hardly doubt the bed frame did any help as that entire area was covered in glass.

Trees were covering some parts so we don’t know how tall Nathaniel’s place is.

Heck even Adrien has transformed in his room before countless time and one section of his wall is literally made of window.

What if one of them goes into hiding?

I don’t think it’s possible due to the fact they only knew each others.

If they knew Ladybug and Chat noir’s identity like Luka and Alix then I can see why.

The antagonist always to seem to want one thing which are the bug earrings and cat ring due to its ability to make a wish and not the other miraculous jewels even if some are extremely powerful like time travel, reset time, teleportation, transfer objects, have any power or object you want.

What if Chat Noir erases their memories?

His new ability to erase parts of memories are if the person is willing to accept it but that’ll erase only that part of their memories and throw away the whole point of trusting in each other.

My main point.

How is it far and acceptable to all these side characters revealing their identities and secrets but not when it comes to Marc and Nathaniel.

We don’t know much about their character as they weren’t seen much in previous seasons other than the fact that they enjoy each others company, they love to work on comic and that’s about it.

Them knowing their hero identities would help make them stronger in battle and future challenges just like Nino and Alya.

Simpleman AU (But without Simpleman because that villain was CRINGE!!!!!)

What if instead of Marinette dropping the kids off with her grandfather Rolland Dupain, she decided to go to one of her friends for help? More specifically a creative and artistic duo of friends, one of whom has experience with babysitting children. Enter Nathaniel Kurtzberg and Marc Anciel! Knowing that the comic book duo are already hanging out at Marc’s house to work on their comic, ignoring the fact that they are also babysitting Marc’s little brother, Aimé Anciel, and not even bothering to ask them first because she’s so dead set on helping out Adrien, Marinette brings Manon, Ella, Etta, and Chris over to Marc’s house.

(Marc and Nathaniel stare incredulously at Marinette as she finishes explaining her situation. Meanwhile, are Chris and Manon chasing each other around the living room while Ella and Etta are jumping on the couch. Aimé is drawing a picture with crayons and paper on the coffee table with a Reverser doll sitting next to him, paying no mind to the other four rambunctious children.)

Marinette: (looks at the comic duo with pleading eyes) So it would just be for a little bit and I swear, I’ll hurry back as soon as I can! Please?

Nathaniel: (exchanges a look with Marc) Is she serious? Marinette, you know we’re always willing to help you out, but Marc and I still have pages of our next comic to finish before our next meeting with our editor in a couple of weeks.

Marc: (speaks hesitantly) And besides, we are already looking after Aimé and I don’t think we can look after four more kids…it’s just a lot more than I am used to…

Marinette: I know it’s a lot to ask and I swear I’ll owe you guys big time if you do this favor for me. I should be back within an hour at most to finish the client’s request. Besides, I babysit these four all the time. It’s super easy!

Nathaniel: (raises an eyebrow) Then why can’t you take the kids with you if it’s that easy? Or ask this client to come over to your place to get their costume fixed?

Marc: Nath has a point there, Marinette. Who even is this client, anyway?

Manon: (puts on the brakes and stops running upon hearing Marc’s question) Marinette is going to help her boyfriend! (Manon starts running again before Chris could catch up to her)

(Marinette’s face immediately blushes red and her posture stiffens with embarrassment. Marc and Nathaniel couldn’t suppress the smirks growing on their faces.)

Nathaniel & Marc: (turn to face each other) Called it!

It took a bit more time for Marinette to plead her case and convince the comic book duo to watch the kids but after a quick sidebar, Marc and Nathaniel decided to babysit Manon, Ella, Etta, and Chris while Marinette was gone to make a fool out of herself again in front of Adrien. But their help doesn't come cheap.....

Marc: (smirks) Alright, Marinette. We'll watch the kids for you.

Marinette: (beaming with gratitude) Oh thank you! Thank you both so much!

Nathaniel: (holds up a hand) However, in return for our services, we expect a payment of half of whatever you earn today from babysitting.

Marinette: WHAT?! That's totally unfair! You're only watching them for an hour!

Nathaniel: Yes, an hour of our time that we could be using to work on our comic which we will be getting paid for once it's published, but instead we will be using that hour to look after five kids.

Marc: I mean sure, we could simply just watch the kids for free out of the goodness of our hearts, but I do believe some compensation for the work that we will be missing is more than fair.

Marinette: You will both get a THIRD and split it between the both of you!

Marc: (shrugs his shoulder) Oh well, if that is the best you can offer us, Marinette, (walks to the front door and proceeds to open it) good luck with the kids.

Nathaniel: (calls out) Hey kids! Grab your backpacks! You're going back to Marinette's house!

Marinette: (panics) WAIT! (sighs in defeat) Okay fine...I'll give you guys half...

Marc: (closes the front door)

Nathaniel: (calls out) Never mind, you're staying here!

So for a while, things are going well. Marc and Nathaniel keep the kids calm and entertained with drawing activities and playing with the plush dolls of Miraculous superheroes and villains that Marinette brought with her for them to play with...

(Ella and Etta make the Rena Rouge and Carapace dolls kiss each other. Manon makes the Ladybug and Chat Noir dolls kiss each other. Aimé makes his Reverser doll and the Evillustrator doll kiss each other, which causes Marc to blush profusely while Nathaniel is laughing his ass off.)

Chris: (cringes and shields his eyes) EWWWWWWWW!!!!! Stop it! You guys are gross!

After a while though, Nathaniel suddenly gets a notification on his phone, reminding him that the latest issue of his favorite comic is going to be released today, and the artist who drew the comic book illustrations was going to be hosting a book signing at the book store. While he was initially excited, he then soon realized that he couldn't go and leave Marc alone with the kids. Despite Marc's insistence that he would be just fine being alone with the kids for a little bit and that Marinette is probably on her way back anyway, Nathaniel refuses to leave Marc alone. So like any other healthy couple would do, they came up with a compromise, which involved Marc tricking Nathaniel outside and locking him out of the house until he got his comic signed.

Though things stay calm for a bit, after a while Manon, Ella, Etta, and Chris start getting a bit rambunctious like typical young children. Running around the house, getting into things they are not suppose to (like messing with the pages of Marc and Nathaniel's comic and putting them out of order, reading through Marc's diary, etc.), jumping on the couch, fighting over the dolls, etc. Meanwhile while all this chaos is going on, Marc is desperately trying to call Marinette to see if she was on her way back soon since it has been well over the hour that she promised she would be back by. Unfortunately, Marc keeps getting sent to voice mail over thirty times because Marinette is too busy overcomplicating her plans as usual. Marc then starts to become anxious and panics, which goes unnoticed by every child except for Aimé since he is the only one who isn't running around the house. Being only 6 years old, Aimé doesn't quite understand his brother's anxiety/panic attacks or more specifically how to help but he thinks that Marc is most bothered by the loud noises of the other children running around and then tries to get everyone's attention by turning on the Ladybug and Chat Noir movie. The movie immediately captivates the four children's attention and they all sit quietly in the living room to watch the movie. Unfortunately, Marc is still having a panic attack despite the room having quiet down. Aimé tries talking to Marc to help him, but again, Aimé is only six years old and has no idea how to help calm his brother down. So he then decided to get Marc's phone and call his boyfriend for help.

Nathaniel: (picks up the phone as he leaves the book store) Hey, Marc! I'm heading back right now. How are-...

Aimé: Nath! Something is wrong with my big brother! He's breathing weird!

Nathaniel: (confused and starts to worry) Aimé? What do you-...(realizes what Aimé is talking about) give the phone to Marc, Aimé! Let me talk to him.

(Aimé holds the phone up to Marc and puts the phone on speaker. Nathaniel can hear Marc's shaky, hyperventilating breaths from his end, causing him to become increasingly worried.)

Nathaniel: (sprints as he talks on the phone) Marc...Rainbow? It's Nath! I'm on my way back, you're going to be okay. I'm going to stay on the phone with you. Please, just try to breathe with me. We'll do it toget-...(hears Aimé cry out in alarm) Marc? Aimé, what's going on buddy? Hello?! Can you guys hear me?!

Marc: Yes, Shadowmoth.....

Nathaniel: (his eyes grew wide filled with fear and panic) Oh shit....

Yes, Marc gets reakumatized in this "What If" scenario. I couldn't think of any new akumatized identities that Marc could be turned into. I was kind of leaning on this being a "Reverser 2" type deal. For instance after Marc is akumatized into Reverser again, he immediately reverses the children (minus Aimé) into becoming well behaved children who sit quietly unless told otherwise. Then he goes on a crusade to hunt down Marinette to reverse her into revealing her true feelings to Adrien since it was because of her obsession with Adrien that got him into this mess in the first place (or at least from his perspective) and much like everyone else, he has grown tired of her overcomplicated plans.

So what do you guys think of this "What If" scenario? I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while. Please feel free to share your thoughts and opinions on this scenario regardless if you like it or hate it.

I get the creeping suspicion that Marinette having helped Ivan with his villain dad plot means we'll never see her doing the same for Adrien and that was the show's way of still having her "pay her dues" to that pot line.

It's the least-committed way of writing that story and that's why the writers picked it. The Miraculous writers write like they're allergic to actual commitment. They throw things around with no consideration how it should affect the rest of the story, they retcon important lore willy-nilly, and they only pretend they're changing the status quo when they're really doing the same things, but, with, like escalated elements. SEELE in Miraculous might sound like a cool concept on paper but, when it comes to individual Miraculous episodes, it's still the same Akumatization stuff. Of course the "superhero deals with supervillain dad" plot couldn't be done with Adrien, the writers would have had to commit to how it would change their precious status quo.

And we also got a lovesquare-coded mutual reveal scene between Marc and Nathaniel, and that just makes me more pissed off that the main characters’ writing is such a shitshow. The writers are showing us, on-screen, that they can do these stories. They can write a superhero dealing with his dad being a supervillain and all his friends gathering around him to support him, they can write a story of a young boy with forbidding parents coming out of his shell to his superhero partner, where they reveal their identities to each other and become all the closer for it. But they won’t write these stories for their main leads, instead bogging them down with repetitive drama.

This stuff in season 6 should have been written for Adrien and Adrien and Marinette. Instead Adrien is being gaslit into thinking his villain father was a hero and a good person and the one doing the gaslighting is his girlfriend, aka the most dishonest character in the entire cast who will definitely not allow them the joy of revealing their identities to each other the way the show did for MarcNath. The situations our main characters are in aren’t allowed to change, so nothing that happens between them will ever be as meaningful as stuff that happens between side characters. And the reason they happen to side characters instead is that they can just be used for a one-off episode and then be ignored again.

Honestly, it's like the fans are being slapped in the face. All these plotlines that the fans have been waiting for, for almost a decade, are finally happening, to fucking side characters. They’ll never have any real impact on anything, because screw the fandom’s investment, look at the sparkly, cool moment! It’s pure empty drama and spectacle. The fans are being treated like easily entertained toddlers.
