So I thought back on the lost boys and I noticed that the boys are not really the villains of the story, that honor goes to max, because if you look deep into it the boys are really goons in a way (henchman if you will)

And another thing I noticed was in the song cry little sister the line when said blind boys don’t lie and that got me thinking about the boys deaths.

For example David at first glance is this cool menacing bad boy who is the leader of the lost boys, but when he first sees the main protagonist Michael he is head over heels for him, like seriously he goes out of his way to impress Michael throughout the movie like you would do with a crush. And on top of that he can’t get a word out when he’s around him and always smiling at him and in the maggots and worm scene and bridge scene he uses tactic of scaring as a way of flirting which in the end leads to his death being blinded by love.

For Marko at first glance he is the time bomb of the gang, the first thing he does is get into a fight, cause someone looked at him and the guys wrong and in the motorcycle race when Michael punched David in the face he’s the first one to get up and gets ready to fight him. He is protective of his friends and is always ready to defend them, but he also playful with them and gets food for them because he is loyal, which makes his death all the more saddening that he was asleep during his death vulnerable, unable to do anything, unable to fight back blinded by vulnerability.

For Paul at first is the laidback one of the gang, the one who smiles at everything and is always joking around, in the bridge scene where they are hung over the train tracks he plays with Marko and when they are entering in the cave, he is holding laddie’s hand and jumps around the way down to the cave like it’s a game and when he vamps out he is laughing, because he is happy and kind to everyone around him, which makes Marko’s death hits him the most and that happy persona melts away into pure unadulterated rage and vengeance which leads to his death as well blinded by rage.

For Dwayne at first he is the silent one of the gang not really saying much in the movie, but his actions speak louder than words could ever do for example in the movie he never seen showing off to anyone and only talks when he needs to. He is admired by laddie and copy’s him as a big brother , because he doesn’t need to show off to anyone cause he knows he’s strength and in the end while facing off against Sam he becomes cocky and says the famous line “ you miss sucker” to him even though he didn’t need to say that because he was overly confident to action first leaning to him to die by being blinded by cockiness.

What makes a person a “monster”? Is it the way that they are viewed by society? Is it their thoughts and actions? Is it the world that has molded them into being cold and unforgiving? Or is it their creator who thought that they could play God?

Man tends to define one’s self based upon their actions and/or visage. Taking this into account, if someone does not fit into the pre made notion of how someone should look or act like, man is quick to make hasty accusations and judgments. Therefore, the people who do not fit into the notion are treated as outcasts and less than, condemning them into a life of self-loathing and hatred for the people that view them as unequals. This hatred is the main fuel for their actions that may consider them as “monsters”.

Dr. Frankenstein for example attempted to play God and then was afraid of his own creation. If he had took the time to nurture and teach his monster, then he would not have killed or have been feared by so many people.

In The Phantom of the Opera, Erik was mistreated and shunned for the way he looked, turning him into a ruthless killer obsessed with his own dreams.

But both of these “monsters” had yearned for something other than what they had, they yearned for peace and companionship, not murder and perpetual rage. They are everything that they have been made into be, conforming into the narrative of what other people want them to be based on their outward appearance.

However, they could have chosen to not listen to the angry voices and instead could have found goodness. Using other people’s words as an excuse to harm others is not always right either. So, at what point does one discern if someone is a monster? Is it their outward visage? Or is it the way people cower in fear whenever they are near? Are people the problem? Do we need to work on being kinder to people are different from us?

Hey Darkwitch, I had this idea running around my head. It’s an idea about Marinette getting Akumatized into Protector after hearing about her cousin being bullied? What is your opinion on it? How do you think it will play out?

Protector Akumatized in the Darkverse AU

Marc used to attend a different middle school before transferring to Collège Françoise Dupont. At his previous school, Marc was ruthlessly bullied by a group of assholes and mean girls for years, and none of the teachers or the principal did anything about it.

Marinette didn't know that Marc was bullied until one day when he confided to her about the bullying. This happened while Marinette was over at Marc's house one day and she found some skirts and a couple of dresses in his closet and tried to encourage Marc to wear them to school sometime.

Marc confides to Marinette the reasons why he got bullied (one of them being that he wore skirts and make-up to school) and while it is painful for him to talk about that he ends up breaking down in tears, he reveals the last act of cruelty that the bullies did to him that made him finally confess to his mothers that he was getting bullied and ultimately lead to him switching schools for the new year (it was really terrible and fucked up FYI).

Marc hates making others feel worried about him so he begs Marinette to not say anything to anyone else as he feels that nothing else can be done and he just wants to leave the past in the past.

Marinette still feels angry and wants justice for her friend, but she relents and promises to not say anything about the bullying after looking at the sheer desperation in the writer's eyes to keep Marc's bullying between them.

Cut to the ice skating rink sometime later (a few days, weeks, or months....I don't know), a group of students from Miss Bustier and Ms. Mendelev's class, including Marc and Marinette, are having a group outing.

Marc and Nathaniel are skating together in the beginner's lane since Nath is not very athletically coordinated with his feet (or legs, arms, hands, etc.) and Marc is too bashful to show off his amazing skating skills (yes, Marc is talented at soccer and skating).

While the comic duo is skating together (or Marc basically holding onto Nathaniel to help the red-headed artist maintain his balance and not fall face first again), Marc hears a familiar laugh off in the distance that immediately makes his blood turn cold.

Slowly and reluctantly, Marc turns his attention to the bleachers where he spots his old bullies Sara Lemieux, Cerise Leroux, Colette Lyon, and Lavender Leyva.

At first the bitch quartet doesn't notice him so Marc tries to ignore them, but hearing their voices and stuck-up laughter starts sending him spiraling towards a panic attack.

At one point, Marc notices that their laughter is getting louder and looks at them again to see that they had noticed him at some point and were mocking him. Colette was dipping Cerise in an embrace as the two of them mockingly exchanged romantic pleasantries that were clearly insults towards Marc and Nathaniel.

Seeing the mockery unfold in front of him, Marc starts having a panic attack, reliving flashbacks from his past trauma from being bullied by them and unintentionally dropping Nathaniel during his panicked state. Nathaniel notices this and while confused, he helps Marc off the ice and sits him down on the bleachers.

The others immediately gathered around, concerned about their friend and wanting to know what was wrong. While Nath is trying to disperse the crowd since he knows they were not helping with Marc's panic attack, Marc's eyes shift toward the "Bitch Quartet", who were now mocking Marc's panic attack.

Cerise and Colette were now fake hyperventilating and acting overdramatically panicked while Lavender and Sara laughed along at their antics.

Marinette notices their mockery and how they were making Marc's panic attack worse and becomes furious. She springs up from her seat to confront them, much to the confusion of her friends, but Marc stops her in her tracks by grabbing hold of her hand with his shaky hand. The writer manages to choke out "Please...no..." as his eyes desperately plead to Marinette to not cause a scene.

Again, Marinette relents but she storms off to the bathroom because she was fuming.

Shadow Moth senses both Marinette's anger and Marc's panic, and while he was tempted to take advantage of Marc's panic attack to akumatize him again, he also couldn't pass up a rare opportunity to akumatize Marinette since she has consistently avoided becoming akumatized in the past.

Shadow Moth: Protector, I am Shadow Moth. Those who have tormented your friend have alluded justice for far too long.

Tikki: (remains hidden from Marinette's sight but tries to stop her) No, Marinette! Please! You must resist!

Shadow Moth: Such horrid, privileged people such as those girls never get their comeuppance, do they? No matter how horrendous their actions are they never face the consequences!

Marinette: (grabs onto her head as she struggles to resist the akumatization) T-They...how do they keep getting away with this?! N-No matter what anyone says or does...they never get what they deserve and they just keep making everyone around them suffer! Even when they aren't even near them anymore!

Tikki: (pleads) Marinette, we'll find a way to fix this. There's always a solution, but this isn't it!

Shadow Moth: I am giving you the power to ensure that those who try to escape justice will suffer the consequences of their actions. From now on, you shall act as their judge, jury, and executioner!

Marinette: (her hands slowly start reaching to cover her ears as she continues to struggle resisting Shadow Moth’s influence) I-I…

Tikki: (desperately begging) Marinette, no! You know this isn’t right! You wouldn’t be seeking justice, you would be seeking revenge! Please! Don’t listen to him!

Marinette: (removes her hands from her ears as her face darkens, her fists clenched) Justice…revenge…what difference does it make anymore?

Tikki: (shocked) No….

Marinette: It doesn’t matter how you define it…all that matters is that those girls are punished for what they have done!

Shadow Moth: Yes! And they will receive their just punishment, with my help of course. All I ask in return is that you bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculouses! Do we have a deal?

Tikki: Marinette...

Marinette: (unclenches her fists) As long as I'm around to protect, they shall not escape my justice!

(Marinette is engulfed in darkness as she is transformed into Protector, much to the horror of the ladybug Kwami. However, the tiny kwami of creation notices the Ladybug earrings on the floor that Marinette had dropped when she unclenched her fists, quickly picks them up, and flees the bathroom before Marinette's akumatized transformation is complete.)

For Marinette's akumatization, I believe that she knew that she wouldn't be able to suppress her rage and anger towards those girls for hurting Marc, but she had enough willpower and strength to take off the ladybug miraculous so she wouldn't hand them over to Shadow Moth. Yes, I know that she almost immediately tried to hand over the miraculous when she was almost akumatized in canon, but this is fanon and besides, I think it makes a bit more sense for her to at least try to struggle against being akumatized and using the last bit of her remaining willpower to remove the miraculous so that Tikki could keep them safe and possibly find someone else to be "Ladybug" for a day. Speaking of which, I think that Tikki will most likely either pick Alya to be "Scarabella" or Marc to become the temporary Ladybug Miraculous holder to save Marinette (and unfortunately the Bitch Quartet).

As Protector, I imagine Marinette either having a knight aesthetic with villainous color palettes or perhaps she'll be more like "Princess Justice" with her design, though I think the knight design would be a bit more fitting. Not sure what her powers would be, though I could imagine that they would be something related to knights. She would definitely have a sword and enhanced sword-fighting abilities as well.

What makes a SAGAU au a SAGAU au? Self-awareness is a must, but I honestly wonder now that I really think about it...

I've read plenty of SAGAU aus over the last few years, some follow the idea of self-awareness, some don't, and some are just flat out vague? A good chunk of them are also cult aus, so- And most if not all of them make out the 'imposter/creator/the unlucky punk' to be a player of Genshin, but again, some make them out as the player, some are vague in the sense where they don't even feel like a player of GI (an example of this is one au where I read an Aunt and her nephew are considered the CREATORS and as far as I can recall, never played GI or even heard of Teyvat. So how would Self-awareness work?), and there's even some where they ARE the CREATOR, not someone from our world, a god who came down from the heavens to visit their creations only to get hunted down.

Any thoughts on this? I LOVE SAGAU aus, and honestly, I don't really care with how they're written as long as the poster had fun creating it, but I'm honestly curious to hear other people's opinions.

Leo kurosagi analysis

this was requested but tumblr wont let me post to their ask so: Okay, Leo is selfish. I'm not gonna deny all the bad things people say about him, or even deny he is a bad person, but he is a GREAT set up for a character. I would like to say that Tokyo debunker is giving set up for growth from each character, Leo is just the most Jarring, for the fan base. full disclosure, I did not like Leo or even consider liking him until I saw the HATE on here, I'm not just trying to be quirky by liking the most disliked character either. I tend to just want to see the good in what most people dislike. I like kpop and I tend to bias the most criticized or least biased members of a group, because I think it's an amazing feeling to give love... Although I understand it's cathartic to hate too, and that's probably why the Leo hate is so strong. I also still don't LIKE Leo, but I really do want to explore his character and I probably will make more posts as we see him more and as I experience him more myself. The Leo cu*king tho, is maybe my least favorite "trope" in TBD fanfic rn... but I don't k*nkshame y'all :*

I also would like to say Sho is his friend, not his victim or Rapunzel. There is some value to Leo in Sho's eyes and I think we shouldn't degrade that because we see that if Sho doesn't like someone he will not engage i.e Ren. Sho is a sweet character and I think he might be friends with Leo because he wants to see the best in him or knows his more repulsive behaviors are a defense mechanism or explained by other reasons we the MC are yet to see. Why I think that is even tho the weird blob guys in the mystery diner suck at making food he still wants to see the best in them, and that very scenario could be a cheeky analogy from the writers themselves, about Sho and Leo. Obviously Leo could be blackmailing Sho, I know that is a commonly held belief, but I do have some perspectives that could debunk that thought. Leo doesn't Garner blackmail on his peers. I think Leo is nosy, and invasive, but he is also incredibly capable, implied by his contributions to the vagastrom group case. If he wanted to figure out who Alan killed he could with his hacking prowess, but instead he asks Mido himself. In invasive ways yes, but he could just have found the information himself, whether by hacking or asking the countless witnesses of the clash. Rather he asks Mido face to face, and, correct me if I'm wrong we can't say he wouldn't have taken no for an answer because Mido just gets mad at his antics and never gives him a straight up no. Again I could be wrong so let me know if Alan does give him a straight no. It's been a while since chapter two for me.

Right now I want to explore some possibilities for his character given the information we have about him ATM. I mentioned above the fact his little nasty, mean, degrading comments could be a defense moreso that he wants people to try and push past that to see if they're viable as his friends. Especially because he is micro-influencer he might be protective of himself because of that. As well as being a chronic liar online he may want to know if he can trust you not to expose him online. I think exploring his past would be amazing because even his stigma makes him seem like an overly cautious person, as well as invasive. Cautious? I feel like its cut and dry that wanting to hear what people say when you aren't around could hint to him being quite anxious about what people think about him. like idk I also feel like the jealousy we see towards Sho might also be more about people finding Sho more approachable. I think because Leo wants to be more involved with people in power he might have not been trying to scare Subaru away because "Sho is mine >:(" and actually could have been jealous that Subaru noticed Sho first and not him. Still awful right? but also like I said I don't see Leo as enjoyable but more so a lot of room for redemption, or explanation. Sympathy or empathy might be something we feel for him a lot if he is properly explored.

Obvs these are just possibilities right :) I actually find him very cute and I like his catty behavior, especially because in comparison to other nasty ghouls he is like a kitten hissing at you, harmless. Like dude Taiga shot me, and you're just a nasty baby, I smell your fear on the inside, you just want to be loved like everyone else. He's a true tsundere and not that "I swear I don't like you!!" shit and I appreciate that. I hope nobody misconstrues this as defense of his toxicity more-so that the point of tokyo debunkers focus seems to be everyone is demonizing these teens who seriously are just teens, and sometimes teenagers are catty are toxic, but they're still learning. Especially when the adults suck too... if not more because they are adults. AND LEO IS HATED FOR BEING STINKY AND MEAN BUT TAIGA AND ROMEO ARE LIKED BUT SO MUCH MORE MORALLY DECREPIT... so idk that especially irks me. I still would like to know what people think and if you are also excited to see the exploration of the ghouls especially Leo, and what theories you may have on him yourself.

Lost Boys Sweet Teeth Headcanons

Just some silly tastebud headcanons Ria and I came up with. My own personal interpretation is that the vampires (at least in the lost boys) CAN eat regular food just fine, it's just a lot of taste has been lost to them and food doesn't actually offer any nutritional benefit like it does for regular humans. But I was discussing some fun ideas with @ria-coolgirl about their favorite treats, and I wanted to share! Thank you Ria for helping me come up with this.

David's doesn't care for sweets all that often, but when he does he prefers things more rich and bitter. Most of the time he'll just order coffee when everyone else gets milkshakes but when he does indulge I think he'll pick anything with a lot of cocoa. So chocolate is his number one pick! His favorite are macaroons.
