"Near is heavily autistic coded in my eyes, he has an OBVIOUS special interest/heavy fixation on toys of all kinds and puzzles, surrounds himself with sensory things and dresses the same way over and over and is seemingly always barefoot, he´s one of the few characters of his kind that isn't super infantilized or mistreated because of his implied disability (he's also always on the ground, sitting down) and his group of coworkers also doubles as caretakers for his needs and he's treated as an equal even when he shows signs of immersing himself into a sort of "game" of the investigation, he stims with his hair too!!!"

nerevar and voryn are both autistic. nerevar is the best at masking at putting on a persona and actively taught voryn when they were younger. voryn has rings on his hands he stims with and constantly glares at people to get them to leave him alone, but when he needs to be charismatic he's very good at it.

neht and voryn love just sitting in a room vibing together. nerevar will be cleaning and polishing all of his blades, voryn is reading. nerevar eats the food textures voryn hates secretly. voryn does the same for nerevar. they have systems in place. voryn often has problems with over-stimulation and needs to just. lay under a weighted blanket in absolute silence with an eye mask on to cool down. nerevar struggles with under stimulation and voryn often gifts him clothes that are his favorite textures to stim with. nerevar in will infodump about weapons and voryn has no idea what he's talking about but he smiles because he knows neht likes it. voryn will then infodump about magic and alchemy and nerevar doesn't really get it but he loves how impassioned voryn gets and loves that he gets to see genuine joy from voryn and tries to ask questions to get voryn to talk more.
