They just feel like pure quality in your hands. Fit/tolerance is nice and tight although fit also relies on tolerance of hex in bolt head.. The nice long length is great for extra leverage and the roughness of the knurling is perfect. Rough enough to provide plenty of extra grip when hands are greasy, but not too rough on skin. Placement of knurling is also dialled too with smooth sections for spinning. Size of key is marked in an easy to read, low wear area. As hex keys are the most used tool used on bikes it makes sense to buy the best ones possible. Aosky sent their Red ratcheting screwdriver with 6 bits and 8 Allen Keys for an honest unbiased review. I thought this tool would be too heavy and bulky at first sight. However, once I read how to set the ratchet to turn in the correct direction, it made it simple. I’m so used to twisting my wrist/hand manually. The screwdrivers ratcheting head makes short work out of installing and uninstalling screws. The magnetic tip keeps the 2 slotted, 2 Phillips, 2 Torx in place. The extra bits are stored inside the bottom of the tool. You slide a window to open position and shake out the bit needed. The convenience of Allen Wrenches in Everyday Life

An Allen wrench or hex wrench includes a hexagonal shape and can be utilized with care, mostly used in plumbing and electrical applications. Short Arm Allen Wrench

Generally, the vertical length of Allen wrench is always longer than the horizontal length. The long-arm and short-arm modifiers tell us the degree of the difference in length. short arm hex keys are mostly about50% longer on the vertical side as compared tothe horizontal side.

Long Arm Allen Wrench

For long arm hex keys, they are typically at least two times longer in the vertical direction than they are in the horizontal direction.

RATCHETING SCREWDRIVER AND ALLEN KEY By: AOSKY I recently have had the opportunity to test out the AOSKY Ratcheting Screwdriver, complete with the most common bits and an allen key. For some people this all in one tool may be the only tool you need since most household objects are now held together by a standard Phillips Head, Flat Head, or one of the Standard Allen size wrenches (the types of screws you see with IKEA Furniture). For me this will never be able to replace all the items I use but Because of its compact size I can leave it in my quick access utility drawer and it now will become my first stop screwdriver. Go Screw Yourself!

Many screw designs exist, but if there is one fastener that I love more than any other, it’s the infamous Bristol Screw.

No really, It’s a screw like no other. It was designed to not cam out and be used repeatedly without fail. It truly is the “one screw to rule them all”.

It was apparently designed by the Bristol Bus Company, for repeated use on things like maintenance access panels. the design of the fastener was so good that it could be made out of much softer cheaper materials, without cam-out.

the problem with most of the fasteners on the market, is that they are fairly weak and will slip when excessive torque is applied. Some fasteners like the Phillips head was actually designed to slip, to stop over tightening and so you didn’t shear of the head of the fastener (apparently). Coming from a repair engineers standpoint, there is nothing more infuriating than spending hours and hours removing sheared screws from a machine. Although a marred screw head is just as annoying!

The solution to this problem was the Bristol Key. It worked because every spline was a wedge, pulling the fastener inwards towards the tool. The more torque you applied, the more the screw gripped the tool. The result, no nasty cam-out, not torn knuckles, and no broken screw.... Engineers bliss.

So a massive Enginer’ds thumbs up for the Bristol Key. I just wish the world would use it more.
