Oooooffff, that's a good question! I think you mentioned one of the more popular ones like Azul/Tiana, Alice/Riddle, etc., so I'll go with one that is pretty cracky (???) but could work if written/executed properly.

Don't laugh, hehehe.

But what about Floyd/Moana?

Like, Floyd is all about freedom and independence. He does what he wants to do whenever he feels like it. He's like the ocean in that way. One minute as calm as a sleeping baby and the next, as temperamental as a hurricane.

On the other hand, Moana (whose name means ocean!!!), she also likes independence and freedom, but she still adheres to the rules and restrictions of tradition and what's best for her people. Of course, she does go out of her way to leave her island so she can rescue her people, but again, that's because of tradition--that little bit of rebellion was just a bonus.

So, they're kind of like opposites in a way? Floyd is inhibited, while Moana is more restrictive. Both crave freedom and independence in their own ways and regard consequences quite differently. I suppose if they were ever paired together (romantically or otherwise), Floyd would teach Moana to not put so much emphasis on her people's needs over her own while Moana would teach Floyd about thinking before doing.

Plus, I think it would be fun if Floyd were trying to flirt with her, but the ocean decides to interfere if it thinks Floyd is getting too rowdy (like sending a tidal wave his way and splashing him). Also, can you imagine a "kiss the girl" sort of situation where Moana is on her small boat and Floyd is in his merform and he's leaning up to meet her halfway as she leans down? Peak romance, hehehe. Or Moana swimming with Floyd as both humans or when he's in his merform?

I bet Floyd would also have fun with Maui while Moana would try not to get on Jade's hit list.

Both of the Tweels would definitely be after Hei Hei if only just for the bit and to bother Moana.

With Milky Way Cookie we have basically a Submas Cookie in Cookierun.

Are there other Cookies that would get along well with other characters from Pokémon? Is there an Archie Cookie I’m still very early in the game and I’m curious. (Also I managed to get Two Legendary Cookies yesterday. Sea Fairy Cookie and Moonlight Cookie. I’m still shocked at how I pulled that off)

Also anon.. I've been playing cookie run for years im gonna unleash a ton of information on you, be prepared 🔥 (this reply will consist of cookies from two devsisters games, cookie run kingdom and cookie run ovenbreak)

Milky way cookie is the first playable train conductor character in cookie run kingdom, but not the first in cookie run universe.

In cookie run ovenbreak (another game that predates cr kingdom) there's Tiramisu cookie, a christmas-themed train conductor who drives a train that carries presents, accompanied by his coworker, santa eggnog cookie who puts the presents in the recipients' socks.

Tiramisu prefers efficiency and is more serious, but being sorta young he also has a cute side. Meanwhile eggnog cookie has a lot of archie energy imho, he's friendly, passionate, and he has similar build + facial hair too xD

But Im getting ahead of myself there! I must mention there are twin cookies in ovenbreak, Pawn white cookie and pawn black cookie, but treated as one unit in game called Chess choco cookie.

Interestingly, they have similar personalities with submas, with Pawn white cookie being more expressive and informal, while pawn black cookie more serious and uses more formal language. Both love chess and would trap their enemy into a chess battle.

They've been around for longer than the previous cookies so you might have seen crossover fanarts of them with submas! They need more new content but dvsis won't hear me ;;_;;

For archie, there are several cookies that reminds me of him in terms of aesthetic and lore

First there's pirate cookie from ovenbreak. Pirate cookie is mischievous, loves treasures and would do anything to get it, speaks in pirate and has a dedicated crew. I must also mention that he has a sworn enemy, captain ice cookie, who's with the navy and more straitlaced, the two have major beef with each other and she would chase him on her own ship... and there were hints that they used to be on the same side before? maxie vibes??

Secondly, in cookie run kingdom, we have captain caviar cookie. He's not a pirate, just a captain, but he also has a dedicated crew and has similar energy to archie - laidback, full of charisma and respected by his crew, he often tells about his feats in the sea, and i must point out that while he has a ship, he also has a submarine which he uses in his skill! Ive drawn archie in his outfit before

Thirdly, this is just based on looks but i must mention tea knight cookie in cr kingdom

He has the beard!! And the x mark between the eyes!! But that's the only similar traits with archie. Tea knight is well, a knight, a war veteran who's kinda jaded and not interested in fighting anymore after losing his squad fighting monsters (but was later convinced to fight again for the sake of everyone when facing a looking threat). A real honourable knight who loves drinking tea to celebrate a good fight

(Offtopic but he has one of my favourite character designs, his helmet is designed based on a tea infuser, and in his casual look he uses a teabag to tie his hair. That's so clever!)

Lastly, not really archie archie vibes but it feels wrong not to include this character too, is sorbet shark cookie

They're in both cookie run ovenbreak and kingdom, originally a shark but struck a deal ariel-like to turn into a cookie in order to walk on land. In cookie form they're cute, laidback and has a cute charm (which actually remind me more of raihan imo), but they can transform back into shark form, having a more fierce look. I've drawn archie with them before!

Wedding HCs [Part 1]

Wedding headcanons for the lesser talked about ships bc they need more love and I will give it to them.

AquaOrca (Gang Orca x Aquamarina)

Lets ignore the fact that Jade tried to murder Gang Orca when she found out he was dating Aomi and only later came to terms with their relationship.

The wedding would be very beautiful with ocean inspired colors. Kugo's nieces would make all the decorations because they wanna help get ready for their new auntie.

For the dress, it would be inspired by Ariel's wedding dress but with more mermaid theme to it.

Aomi's anxiety rises to an all-time high because she wants the wedding to be perfect and what if she messes up? It's so bad to the point where her mothers literally had to ban any mention or talk of the wedding.

One of Kugo's nephews is the ring bearer and he gets to wear an adorable suit for it.

The day of the wedding, both of them are so excited to see each other and want to touch each other so bad but they can't because they aren't allowed to be near one another.

Jade sings a cover of one of Aomi's songs as she walks down the aisle. Everyone is in awe at how beautiful Aomi looks and even Kugo himself is brought to his knees at his wife.

Kugo has to pick up Aomi to kiss her bc he is tol and she is smol. Either way, it's a beautiful, romantic sight.

Also their rings are references to each other. Jade's has a killer whale on it and Kugo's has a clam shell bc he calls Aomi his Venus (and Venus emerged from the water in a literal clam shell).

Speaking of Venus, the cake is a parody of the birth of Venus but with Aomi. Needless to say, she's blown away by it.

AquaOrion (Orion x Aquanette)

Contrary to what Sakana believed, Saizo wanted a small, intimate wedding with just friends and family. He don't have time for all the media bravado.

Ageha goes wedding dress shopping with Sakana to help her figure out what she wants. She ends up settling on a beautiful princess style dress with short sleeves.

Saizo is asking his younger brother Gen'ichiro all these questions about marriage and stuff because he got married before him and Saizo needs to be prepared for anything his role as a husband throws at him.

No particular theme but the color is indigo which looks great on the both of them.

They have the wedding at a nice place not too far from the seashore. As Saizo and Sakana kiss, a dolphin jumps up over them and it makes for an iconic wedding photo.

The cake is shaped like a seashell and is decorated with crystal candies.

DemoCat (Demoman x Black Cat)

Akio wants to have a traditional Jewish wedding like his parents did and is trying to get Kuroneko on board with the idea.

As much as Kuroneko loves her baby, she's a) not religious at all/an atheist and b) feels like she'll be appropriating his religion. It's only when his mother and her have a Walter White "We're not done till I say we're done" type of convo that she agrees.

The experience is lowkey kinda harrowing for her because she never really saw herself getting married or anyone wanting to marry her (you can thank Goldeye for that) and now that it's actually happening, she feels all these emotions.

While everyone thought she was going to pick an extravagant wedding dress bc it's Kuroneko, she actually chose a rather simple looking one with black lace.

Either way, Akio thinks she looks absolutely beautiful.

Day of the wedding, Akio's mom gives Kuroneko a pair of hamsa hand earrings and a necklace with the same symbol. When asked what it meant, she was told it was a protective symbol in the Jewish faith.

Freaks out a little when she gets lifted up in the chairs by Akio's mother, his aunt, Suzy, and June at once.

StellaNox (Stellara x Nox)

Even before the wedding is announced, Taiyomi and Tsukimi already leaking shit to their friends and husbands like their name is TMZ.

Much like AquaOrion, both Umeji and Hoshimi wanted to their wedding to be private and intimate, especially with the presence of the Yonaga inner clan (though that'll be hard with the younger Sorakami sisters).

There's really nothing for them to worry about since they have experience with weddings.

Hokuto is the ring bearer and Hoshiyo is the flower girl. Meanwhile Kureko gets to be the "blessing boy" or he gets to bless Hoshimi's entrance into both the family and his life as his stepmother.

Hoshimi chooses to wear an elegant, dark blue wedding dress with stars embedded into it. It's different than her previous wedding dress, the one in which she married her first husband in.

They have the wedding in the afternoon and the party at night.

Umeji makes a toast to his new wife and makes a speech about how much he loves her and how she's lifted the darkness from his heart. For the first time in many years, people see Hoshimi become visibly flustered.

Taiyomi and Tsukimi take pictures of that and posts it to their social medias.

Where did that come from? Octavinelle Edition

Octavinelle, one of my favourite dorms and The Little Mermaid (1989) a movie I loved as a kid, this will be fun. Other than Azul's boss fight taking literal days for me to beat, I loved this chapter and it solidified these 3 mer-mafiosos as characters close to my heart. Let's sea what they have in common with the Ursula, and where they came from. Time for part three of my "Where did that come from" series.

Overall

The characters correlate pretty easily: Jade and Floyd are Jetsam and Flotsam respectively, with Azul as Ursula. Deuce, Ace, Grim and the other people who made the deals are the shrivelled creatures in Ursula's lair and Yuu is Ariel. In my opinion, compared to people in Ursula's Lair the one brain cell trio got off easy.

Apparently all mermaids turned human have trouble walking at first like Ariel did. Honestly I would pay money to see the Octavinelle gang's first week or so on land. It sounds like a hilarious sight. The tweels grew out of it quickly, just like Ariel did, but it seems Azul hasn’t so far.

Bonus: The Octatrio’s names are all colours, Azul- blue (Spanish) Jade- green, Floyd- morally grey (Welsh)

Character specific

🐙 Azul Ashengrotto 🐙

Azul and Ursula both own less than honest businesses.

Azul resembles Ursula alot physically from his white hair and mole though its on the wrong side of his chin to his underwater form even sharing her colour scheme and when he was younger he would have had a similar body type to her. He even has her crazy eyes when he overblots. It's uncanny. Since he admires Ursula, I wonder how he feels about looking like her? Other than Malleus, I feel Azul resembles his corresponding villain the most.

Azul and Ursula both love to act as a pillar of generosity and give help to all the poor, unfortunate souls who flock to them in need of help, but often use underhanded techniques to make sure that they end up failing their end of the bargain, allowing them to get what they want.

Azul’s potion works in opposite to Ursula's own, he offers a way to go underwater, she offers a way to go on land. Yet both have the same 3-day time limit for their deal and heavy collaterals, Ariel her voice and Yuu their house.

Sidenote: the way Azul made Crowley sign away his authority to do anything about his shady dealings was like Crowley signing away his ability to speak up and voice his opinions on the matter.

Azul lies about how his contracts are unbreakable, but it seems Ursula found a way to do that, and he was just piggybacking off of that to scare the first years.

When Azul is on the brink of Overblotting he tries to take the abilities and magic of Jade and Floyd as a sort of sacrifice to allow him to win and Ursula took out her eels with magic but not as a sacrifice to make her stronger but by accidentally vaporizing them. Thankfully Azul wasn't able to hurt the tweels because the group stopped him.

I'm going to group Jade and Floyd because Jetsam and Flotsam don't really get much characterization or screen time so what one has is for both in most cases.

🐬🦈 Jade and Floyd Leech 🐬🦈

Jade and Floyd both obediently listen to Azul's commands and often get information for him, just like Ursula's eels do. They have even made these comparisons themselves in chats. This, plus Ace mentioning a movie about the mermaid princess and human prince. That makes me wonder how much their stories have in common with our own, but that's a theory for another day.

Something I really liked is that the shadow Jade and Floyd cast on the gang at the Atlantic Museum is the same one Flotsam and Jetsam cast on Ariel. Both sets of eels also come to people in bad situations offering to rid them of all their troubles all you have to do is make a deal with a certain Octopus mermaid.

Jade and Floyd match their respective eel with the order of their heterochromia.

Jade mentions the fork Ariel uses to comb her hair with as an artefact in the museum.

Floyd mentions visiting the sunken ship in the intro of the movie, as a common test of courage when he was younger.

I have to give it to Disney and the team, these two are pretty unique from each other even though the core is still there. Great for giving people who saw the movie a new experience, but it doesn't give me much to write on especially for Jade and Floyd. Flotsam and Jetsam don't really get much screen time other than lurking in the shadows except for their one scene with dialogue. Until this rewatch I didn't even remember if they talked.
