it just makes sense - the two of them understand each other now, having gone through similar experiences of doing terrible things with their power and wanting to atone. I think seeing them build a growing respect and attraction to each other, building to a passionate hookup that may or may not become a semi-healthy relationship… it just would’ve been very interesting to explore, especially with the characters’ complicated but definitely charged history together. ugh and the angst of willow losing tara only to then get it on with FAITH? FAITH??? regardless of how much faith has changed or how good their relationship is, you can’t tell me willow wouldn’t feel a little disgusted with herself, and that is some juicy stuff to dig into

1: sexuality headcanon: I received a message from god in 2016 when Steve appeared on my screen. the message was that he was bisexual. and I never doubt god's good word ! anyway I dont think Steve is particularly angsty about being bisexual? like I think he was always somewhat aware of his attraction to both but knew stepping outside of the box would be dangerous . tbhh I think he prefers women most of the time and it takes a minute for him to upgrade from hooking up with men to dating men. most of all he's kind of a slut <3 matching with robin he is also a bit gender weird ! mostly cool with being a hot guy but on some level she is also a hot girl. sometimes that level is sometimes a girl, sometimes it's always a girl . depends on what im feeling <3

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: mommy issues Steve my beloved <3 I think steve's relationship with his mother ended up informing so many of his future relationships. specifically I see a sort of emotional incest between them where Steve ended up kind of playing the role of husband to his mom since his dad was away being a bad husband. obviously not a good situation for a kid to be in with their parent bc it robs them of being a kid. but basically this put Steve in a position of providing even to the point of hurting himself, which ended up opening him up to being vulnerable to codependent relationships. I think elements of codependency follow Steve in a lot of his relationships, especially can see it with his friendship to Tommy and carol, a little bit with Nancy, and also a bit with robin too (I tend to exaggerate it with robin bc I think its fun lol)

Will Byers

he would be THRIVING, living his best life, comfortably and openly being gay. Will is one of those ppl who understood that he is not attracted to the opposite gender from a very early age. Joyce would be supportive and Jonathan even more, and he probably wouldn’t even need a big coming out because it’s just a normal thing in his household and everyone is just kinda aware already. i think he would be fully out to his friends and family already in like middle school. now im sad he deserves this so damn much.

Robin Buckley

similar like will, she would be open about her sexuality very early on, but i feel like she’d go full lesbian during that 2020 era when everyone just started hopping on the imma let ppl know im gay and i don’t give a shit trend. she’d cut her own hair and make bangs during quarantine. in 2022 she would just be fully open with everyone about being a lesbian and that would be known from the very beginning of getting to know new ppl, you either accept me or i don’t want anything to do with u vibe.

Mike Wheeler

it’s always hard for me to decide if i think mike is gay or bi. after a lot of thinking i would maybe go with bisexual but with a high preference for men. i feel like mike would have a typical case of: i had a crush on a girl in middle school but now i came to high school and am crushing on a boy, but am i just doing this for attention, im not sure, but i do like him but what if i don’t -> very confused, tons of gay quizzes… but then he’d have a heart to heart moment with will and fall madly in love with him and will would help him understand his sexuality better and then he would fully accept himself and be happy.

okay i would say this legend is pan, but eddie gives me the vibe of someone who just doesn’t care about labels. his attitude is like “whatever happens happens, we’ll see where the future leads me” he just doesn’t think or stress about it. he would definitely hang out with the gays and shit on the painfully straight and boring ppl.

in my opinion they are both straight. i know there are quite a few ppl who are going to disagree with me, especially about lucas and that’s okay. idk for me i just don’t get the feeling and i feel like internet sometimes forgets this these days but being straight is also okay and if dustin and lucas are straight, they are definitely big allies. you say anything against lgbtq+ near them and u are dead.

literal bisexual icon. i feel like she would be the protector of the rest of the gays of the group. she isn’t scared of expressing her sexuality and if anyone tries to say anything bad about her or her friends, she’ll scare them shitless and they would never dare to say anything bad ever again. she always had more of a masculine vibe but can fully pull of fem is she feels like it. basically not much different than in the show just she kisses girls. she doesn’t go around pointing out that she’s bisexual but she doesn’t hide it, she’ll just randomly mention it in a convo one day and make sure that a person knows that there is no option to not be accepting.

Steve Harrington

he def started questioning his sexuality in his 20s. in high school he was one of the straight boys but as he grew up and changed friends he started realizing that liking guys was a possibility and he wouldn’t get judged for it. when he started thinking about it and exploring he realized he liked guys as well. bestie hooked up with a few dudes and is totally chill about it. i feel like he also wouldn’t really care about labels, but i would say bisexual.

Eleven Hopper

honesty i’m not sure. i feel like after all these years we still know very little about el, and so does she. i think first she needs to find herself, things that she loves and finding out her sexuality is part of that journey. in the end she’ll be happy and comfortable with her sexuality. can i see her dating a girl? totally.

labyrinth (1986 film (hey i actually remembered the date lol!) - i'm been thinking for ages what final thing to include and realised it had been staring me in the face: labyrinth, literally my favourite film of all time lol! it's equal amounts comedic, creepy, emotional, plus david bowie is there in ALL his glory (some may say too much glory but i'd tell them to shut their goddamn mouths lol)! the songs are amazing, the ballroom scene literally shaped who i am now.. it's a film about adolescence, siblings, it's about friendship and found family, it's about growing up but also keeping your childhood close at heart, should you need it... it's also about david bowie's bul- *gunshot*

I got into it in April 2003 (I was 11 at that time). Watching anime on TV was the only way for me and my brothers, there was no computer and internet around. We were hooked since episode 1 and never missed an episode, we would watch all the re-runs and be hyped about every epic moment and cry our eyes out at every tragedy or happy moment. Laughing our asses off at the jokes (Skypiea and Thriller Bark are imo the funniest!) And since then I'm a huge fan, though there were several years I lost touch. I picked up the series again a few months ago and stopped at the beginning of the Wano arc (due to low energy, yk how it is with taking care of the family etc).

And OMG I have so many faves!!! Nami!!! Her arc inspired me so much I took her name as my nickname. For a lot of rl friends, I'm just Nami, sometimes my teachers were confused and asked me if it's my middle name fklsdhfsjdůlkasd!!! She is so caring! Big sis vibes!

Zoro! He is so cool! Do I need to explain this? (also I find his relationship with women really interesting, the guy is so traumatized! And also he would literally die for you!) Devil Child Nico Robin. She is smart, powerful as hell and MORBID and her sense for cute things is just immaculate. The episode when she got to be part of the Strawhats is still one of my favorites. Maybe I'm mistaken but she is the only one that invited herself and not because Luffy told her so. I... okay, I will stop because otherwise, I will write a whole ass essay about her and why she is THE QUEEN of all queens!

Great animation moments, the story is amazing too, but the pacing is just so bad. So many fillers within the episodes too, Dressrosa was a torture to watch. So if I just judge it by story everything is great! Maybe reading the manga would be the better choice. But I didn't want to miss the great animation.

I saw some ST making some 2022 posts so I wanna do my own.

Last year for me? Was downright awful. It was the worst year of my life. My best friend/ex I still loved fucking died before I could tell him I still loved him and two months later my fellow indigenous friend passed. Both sudden, both weird health issues. 

I had 5+ friendship breakups, two ending after almost 20 years.

At the shit end of the year I also found out my twin flame hooked up with the main who abused me and cheat on me for 3 years. During our final breakup. In my bed.

So yeah. Bad year.

I was never a casual ST fan, I’ve stated this before. I loved Steve an abnormal amount, I related to Robin the second we met her. I went to a ST costume party at a local barcade in 2019. Like it was more than a fan level, it was a hyperfixation.

But then we got season 4.

All the new ships, some old ones getting better scenes. We got our amazing new characters, ofc they killed our favorite.

But I started writing. Really writing. I had started to write fanfic because of Reddie brainrot, but I didn’t fully start writing until Steddie. And I don’t just mean fanfic.

Writing fanfic opened me back up to creative writing as a whole. I’ve been writing my memoirs, some og novel ideas.

And the fandom got me closer to my now best friend Ash, it allowed me to make a new one in @okayhotshots. When I reconnected with one of my exes who is now my inseparable best friend and the Steve to my Robin, we nonstop talked about the show and watched the final two episodes together while sobbing. This fandom has given me everything.

My best friends I have currently also don’t judge me for it. Hell, one of my best friends bought me an Eddie poster for Christmas and regularly explains fandom terms to people for me.

This fandom kept me GOING in all my darkness. Thank you guys. Thank you for reading my brainrot and my fics and being so kind.

For the controversial opinions- All Star Batman and Robin, WHEN VIEWED AS AN ELSEWORLD isn’t *completely* terrible- it’s very sexist, but some of the other complaints rely on the belief that people can’t be substantially different from their alternate universe selves?

I have to confess I have not read All Star Batman and Robin - it’s the one that image of Vicky Vale in pink négligée is from, right? Ugh. I mean, there’s a time and place for all things, and in comics, I feel like all you’re showing at the page should work at the story overall. Does it in this case? Or was it added for the pleasure of the viewer/creator? Experience tells me it’s the latter so - I skipped it.

Like, I’m running on approximately five hours of sleep per night this week, so do I understand the second part correctly, like people complain about characters being substantially different from their main universe counterparts? Well, depends on how different they are, and if it makes sense within the condition of this particular alternative universe, and what you can infer from it, and how it influences the character overall.

It’s a short answer, the long answer below. And it is really a long one, ok? And at some points controversial.

Like, for example, Jason Todd in the world created by Booster Gold, where Bruce’s parents didn’t die? And he didn’t become Batman and didn’t adopt Jason. So - Jason grew up as an asshole who invented a very dangerous anti-theft device that will electrocute to the point of severe trauma or death anyone who tries to steal the tires from a car.

Which, in the story, were children, and a lot of children, and not only Jason didn’t pull the product from the stores, he denied any responsibility and hmm paid someone off to get off the hook? Or just had a scammy lawyer who got him off the hook. I don’t remember what. Basically, he was an anti-thesis to everything Jason Todd was, including at his most psychotic (Battle for the Cowl and onward until the New 52, I think).

Problems I have with this characterization: - weak basis for this kind of change. Can Jason be made into someone who cares about money more than other children who mirror his own fate directly? Sure. Would Batman not adopting him be enough? Nah.

- implications. This kinda tells the reader: oh Jason was a rotten apple, and without Bruce’s wholesome influence he would have become even worse. That’s a very pro-Bruce, anti-Jason opinion. Like, we also know at least one version of Jason who grew up without Batman? It’s priest!Jason, who had, I admit, tumultuous past, being an addict and a member of a gang/cult before being literally reborn (ugh, Jason Todd is literally DC’s Jesus). But this kinda does feel like a realistic outcome in a much more difficult world than main continuity - or the one with no Batman, compared to lex luthor wannabe.

Arguments against my take:

- I love Jason, so ofc I will prefer version of his character that paint him in a good light.

- I sound like Nightwing conspiracy theorist, only, you know, about Jason Todd.

- I actually didn’t read All-Star Batman and Robin and at this point, I’m afraid to do so.

Counterarguments:

- I actually routinely do mental gymnastic making canon make sense. I accept Jason who beat Tim up and make the psychotic break he experienced during BfTC and B&R make sense. I accept him turning into an octopus or impersonating Nightwing. I accept RHATO. So it’s saying something that this is going too far.

- Some points NCT bring up are valid. Like, Didio hated Dick - and specifically because if Dick gets older, then Bruce is aging. You can look up the quote. And it’s kinda the same with other characters. What Lobdell did to Roy and Kory to prop Jason up, what Glass or whoever else wrote Teen Titans recently, did to Damian, because they’re racist (don’t at me - if it looks racist, it’s probably is racist, and there are more than a few Damian’s fans who can explain it better than me), what Morrison did to Talia due to his - I don’t remember, was it mommy issues or ex-wife issues, or racism only, but I also don’t care. Best case scenario he’s just sucks at writing, and that’s why he overhauled all previous characterisation of Talia to fit the story he wanted for Damian. Which - it did not even had to be like that! You could have done it, with Damian and Batman on one side and Talia at the other, with much more nuance and care! Or, let’s remember the epic Jason Todd’s pre-death retcons and the vote. It was simply because the writer didn’t like him! He wanted to kill him off! Oh, and don’t start me with Steph and Cass. Tl;dr: writers, editors and executives influence what is written, and they are themselves influenced by their biases and preferences. And it sucks, mostly.

- I am actually a big liar who lies because I am reading it right now, and boy, Vicky Vale, dumb vapish and vane columnist, how ground-breaking, how interesting that is.

Hello my Masked Singer loving friends! It’s that time of the week, time for Ana’s Masked Singer Recap. We are nearing the wire with the Masked Singer, now down to the top 6. So, ya, now the judges are like in their aha moment & they are going on the same page as me (and most of the internet as I saw from YouTube & Twitter comments), so we are going to honor the judge who got it with a trophy emoji because they deserve a trophy & a round of applause yelling FINALLYYYY YESSSS! Anyway, the guest judge for this episode was pro chef & the Simon Cowell of the culinary world (think about it, that’s a pretty accurate description for him), Mr. Gordon Ramsey, so the contestants had food clues called “Masked Munchies” which we will be talking about. Anyway, let’s get started! (Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.. don’t say I didn’t warn you)

Alright, so let’s start with the elimination/mask coming in 6th place (I kind of wanna do their places from now on) was:

THE ASTRONAUT 🥺😭

Ok, so yeah I was really upset by this one. Seriously?! He went out wayyyy too early in my opinion... his performance of Story of My Life by One Direction was amazing & it showed his vocal range, I loved it. He was one of my favorites on the show (only him & Turtle are my faves), so I am so sad to see him go. I adore him & not like just Astro but also who he is (which I knew from his first performance... actually from the promo of his first performance haha) 

Having said that (and cried a bit out of disappointment), he was revealed to be...

HUNTER FREAKING HAYES

Notice how I said freaking in between his name. It’s because I genuinely adore Hunter Hayes. I am not a country fan but I like love him. If I were older (we are 8 or 9 year apart age wise), I would 100% wanna date him, because I genuinely think he’s super cute and so talented... and did I mention that I love him? Because I do! Ok, anyways, having said that, bitch ofc I knew who he was from Day 1 baby! His voice is so distinct & the new clues gave it away as well: 

Masked Munchie: King Cake = Hunter is from Louisiana where this cake is a delicacy for celebrations

Crawfish= his hometown is the crawfish capital of the world (again I say Louisiana baby!) 

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆to Nichole because she ended up guessing as her final guess Hunter Hayes, hallelujah! To the other judges, it was a no from me, dawg. 

Alright, so here we have it our top 5, baby! It’s not the top 5 I would’ve hoped for because Astro isn’t there, but it’s fine, I still am routing for my main man, Turtle.

Anyways, let’s look at the remaining 5 & do some commentary on their performances/reiterate why my guesses are all spot on: 

1. The Kitty 

Performance: Ok, so she sang “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” by Marilyn Monroe and I really don't think this was her best performance (not her worst either, but not her best). I was expecting more from her to be honest. It wasn’t her best in terms of vocal ability. I just don’t feel like the song fit her voice nicely or as great as others she has done in the past. I think the song choice was a bit off for me.  

Guess: Jackie Evancho  

Clues: 

Masked Munchie: Cake identified by Gordon as an Opera Cake= Jackie is known to be an opera singer 

Silver Apple= album called Songs from the Silver Screen 

Nobody gets a  🏆 because none of the panel guessed it even though Gordon Ramsey was the closest. 

2. The Rhino 

Performance: First of all, I am a bit salty that he didn’t leave so I am going to be a little more critical with him because I thought he should’ve been eliminated & not Astronaut. Ok, so he sang Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett and yes it was his best performance yet, but it doesn’t compare to the other contestants. He’s great and all but the other masks have more personality than he does and more vocal ability too. 

Guess: Barry Zito

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Spaghetti & Meatballs= reference to his last name Zito, Italian & sounds like Ziti (baked Ziti, get it?) 

Yoga clues in the package= Zito is really well known for doing yoga & meditation before and after his games.

Alright, for this one, let’s give the 🏆 to Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg for finally connecting the clues. *round of applause* 

3. The Frog 

Performance: Ok, again, I am gonna be critical, but this is mostly because I don’t like Frog and that he’s way overhyped, sorry I said it, if you like him, good for you, but no I don’t (I know a lot of people who do but I personally don’t). However, I do gotta say that this was his best performance and he did do something different which is what I wanted him to do in the previous round. He sang “Whatever it Takes” by Imagine Dragons, and it was surprisingly really good. I just, I don’t know, there isn’t any versatility in his vocal ability like some of the other contestants who can go into falsetto or a high note (or actually sing and not just rap, no shade just facts). 

Guess: Bow Wow  

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Cat Fish= someone pretended to be him on the show Catfish & also it is southern (he lives in Atlanta) 

Holding a basketball= “basketball is my favorite sport, I like the way they dribble up & down the court” 

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆 to Robin, YESSS I am so proud, I could cry (but I won't because I saved my tears for Astronaut’s elimination, yes I am still salty). What I really liked from him getting it was that Nichole was like ya it could be Bow Wow and there are a lot of Bow Wow clues, but no it ain’t Bow Wow, it’s Omarion... really Nichole?! 

4. The Night Angel

Performance: Yeah, oh no I am going to be critical again, yikes. Yeah, she can sing and has a great voice, she sang “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles, which showcased her vocal range. I don’t know I just think that she is trying so hard to belt every note out that it’s getting repetitive. Omg, yikes I feel like I am being harsh, I swear I am not, I just don’t think this was her best performance. 

Guess: Kandi Burruss 

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Crickets on a stick = co-wrote “Bug-a-boo” by Destiny’s Child

Rotary phones in the clue package= reference to her group Xscape’s 2nd album off the hook  

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆 to Jenny again but I am not surprised she guessed it because she kind of got it previously but second guessed herself a few times so.. I kind of believed in her. I was losing hope in Robin tbh. 

5. The Turtle 

Performance: Ok, I saved the best for last aka my favorite ever! Did I think his performance was his best one yet? No, by any means, but I was happy to see that he did choreography. I loved the dancing, he really was being competitive with Frog, which I think is super smart of him to do. The singing is amazing, like always, but it didn’t show as much of his vocal range that I know he is capable of freaking doing some beautiful falsetto and I kind of missed it a bit. However, he really did stepped it up and performed the crap out of that song, which was Stay by Alessia Cara & Zedd (not my favorite song tbh). 

Guess: Jesse McCartney  

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Chips & Apple Salsa = he is from NY aka Big Apple 

King chess piece with a heart over it= he voiced 2 characters in the popular video game Kingdom Hearts 

Stuffed Ram= he’s an Aries 

Chess game= he has a song called check mate 

Nobody gets the 🏆 because lemme reiterate this for the people who are as clueless as the judges IT IS NOT ADAM LAMBERT, THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE ADAM LAMBERT, ADAM LAMBERT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE A TEEN HEARTTHROB OR A BOY BANDER

nick robinson + male+ he/him + chaos manipulation.┊ ❛ ━ hey, is it just me or do you hear i’m still here by john rzeznik playing in the distance ? oh, that’s just robin haggis-latierre, a twenty year old student. according to my sources, i heard he can be true neutral and is intelligent, but also apathetic. that’s probably why they remind everyone of the sound of shattering glass, (post) apocalyptic scenarios & worn-out physics books so much ! anyway, whether or not they’re in favor of the supers, crystalline city is keeping a close eye on them !    ( if he had a super name it would probs be PARADOX, but it’s still a draft ).

( There is a TL; DR almost at the bottom bc I honestly exceeded myself )

Poor boy, he didn’t know what he was getting into when he saw his dad closing the door behind him. Robin thought he was just going for the groceries or maybe he was just going to get Christmas presents a bit too early in July... but he didn’t come back. Not that day and not any other, just late and secret phone calls when mommy wasn’t paying attention and for a couple of months, that was the reality.

He was a smart kid ( god bless the Haggis genes! Did you know a child inherits 80% of their intelligence from their mother? ), though, at the beginning he was also very hopeful... but that died with time. Robin didn’t take too long to realize what was happening and out of a little act of rebellion, he stopped calling his dad and he stopped giving bright smiles to his mother.   Quite selfish, maybe? But at that age, all a kid wants is a happy family.

He was still young when the revelation of his powers happened. His parents were arguing downstairs and he was watching from the stairs, shrunk and half hidden behind the posts of the rail. A lot of emotions started to ball inside him and when the stress and sadness became uncontainable, a wave of energy messed up the whole living room and caused some light cracks on the walls.     HOLY SHIT, THEIR SON WAS A MUTANT TOO!

It took them some time to really understand what kind of power Robin had, disintegration? Energy manipulation? Air manipulation? There were many options and theories, but there was something that didn’t change: whenever Robin touched something, it would cause it to crack, shake or completely break, depending on how strong his emotions were at the moment. Eventually, they found someone who could identify mutations and they resolved that what Robin had was   CHAOS MANIPULATION.   Nobody really understood what that was at all, since it was a very... generic name, but at least now the had an idea.

Robin was homeschooled for some time, at least until he managed to control his powers the best he could, but as soon as he was enrolled again, he didn’t take time to make some petty enemies. The problem was that Robin was intelligent and he knew it and he enjoyed calling out others on their mistakes and so on.

Poetically speaking, the boy had inherited the good heart of his mother, but the devious thoughts of his father. It was probably this ambiguity and the fact that his parents were the leaders of both factions, which made him grow annoyed and tired of both heroes and villains. He wanted nothing to do with it, he didn’t believe there was something as good or bad; Robin thought that eventually, whichever force was the one to win, would drown in power.   AND ROBIN WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.    <------ but I’ll get to this a bit later on.

He eventually managed to enroll in a good university and decided to study Physics, partly ( greatly ) inspired by his mother, but on the other hand, as a necessity to understand his powers even better. Highly studious and ridiculously apathetic, Robin was a discreet sensation, mostly because of the surnames he carried. His mother as owner of Haggis Tech and his father as a renown forensic medical examiner. There was hardly a place he could go without giving away his identity.  AND YOU THINK THIS WOULD BOTHER HIM!  Oh, no, he always gloated over that fact and he would never doubt to introduce himself as the son of geniuses, but... being somehow related to HAZE and SILVER KNIGHT in any way was beyond embarrassing, since he wanted nothing to do with their secret lives.

Even with all this, Robin considers himself close to his parents, if he’s not doing his homework at Haggis Tech or the library, you can find him in the industrial area training by himself or maybe causing some mayhem with the villains at the back of his mother. I like to think this as the video game Infamous in which karma changes depending on the good and bad actions he does. His current karma is neutral, but let’s see how that changes, I have plans for both his hero and villain versions.  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Okaaay, I’m already done, I promise asdlkf;lg.

Oooohh going back to Robin doing something about the current situation of supers... if everything turns out bad and he loses all faith at the hands of black and white morality he is DECIDED TO END HIS PARENTS’ EMPIRES BY HIMSELF. IF THEY DON’T REACH AN AGREEMENT BEFORE ROBIN MANAGES TO CONTROL A BIG PART OF HIS POWERS... I WOULD TURN UP TO WHATEVER GOD YOU BELIEVE IN AND START PRAYING, BECAUSE IT WON’T BE PRETTY.

HIS POWERS: 

This is very complicated cause his power is... complicated?? Ofc I can’t have him do everything because that would be insanely off the charts, actually, he can do very little but very significant for now. There are lots of terms and names, but to avoid boring you, what he can do now is disintegration of small objects from afar and bigger objects but upon touch. He can... destabilize some other things, for example, he can create a hole in the ground or damage a bridge support, but he ( STILL ) can’t break and entire bridge. He is fascinated with molecules and is currently working on his thesis of matter alteration in which he could get to rearrange the molecules of an object to create another one and stuff like that. NERD BOY. There is also weather manipulation in his sack of abilities that belong to chaos manipulation ( primarily fire and water ) according to the wiki, but eehh that’s a lot so maybe not for now ( unless his dad offers him to teach him smoke manipulation or smthn like that ), but that’d be for the future. His powers are awfully connected to his emotions! The more he feels, the more power he accidentally releases, that’s something he hasn’t managed to control; that’s also why you will mostly see him very stern or serious. Different emotions cause different reactions, example, anger or sadness cause things around to break or crack, stress ( due whatever reason ) may cause things to float or glitch somehow ( like when in Spiderverse there were things blooming into other things ), stuff like that but to a waaaay lighter level, like a coffee cup glitching and a second cap appearing on the bottom or stuff like that.

IMPORTANT ( and funny ): Due his powers still being slightly out of his control, he tends to have a “bad luck aura” around him most of the times, causing little events like someone accidentally dropping their coffee on their recently printed homework, a dog peeing on you as you wait on the bus stop or tripping down and ripping your favorite pair of jeans and stuff like that. While he is aware of this, he never ( usually ) does him with malice, it actually just requires him to focus a little and the aura can stop, but he usually forgets about, so please, pardon the inconvenience.

TL ; DR. Robin is the son of the leader of the league and the leader of the syndicate. He is annoyed with both heroes and villains, but massively supports supers. Is studying physics, is apathetic and will cause you have to have bad luck. Is planning to conquer the city ( or the world ). Angel heart and devil thoughts.

PLOTS / CONNECTIONS:

Classmates and people he may have good or bad relationships with!

Neighbors. I love good a bad neighbors! Gimme petty neighborhood feuds or super nice friendships! Maybe Robin used to play with them in the local park when they were younger, why did they stop talking? (in vase they did)

Not a people’s person, but still... AN EX! Robin and this girl would have had a burning fire, but it was so wild that it burned them down. Their relationship eventually got toxic and maybe they broke up after she joined one of the leagues ( preferably the villains ). They still talk and the tension is HIGH! Probably end up hooking up every now and then.

Someone he accidentally ( or not ) hurt with his powers!

Villains / Heroes that know him bc he’s the baby boy of the leader (?)

Anything else, really! Just hmu and I’m sure we will be able to brainstorm something <3

These two are clearly made for each other. Shame the showrunners couldn't see it.

Yeah, I think that's the part that frustrates me the most. Because that's just how shows like that work, you show the viewers a pairing, convince them with your writing they should be together and then you make it happen. And since HIMYM was written for a mature audience it isn't quite as simple as X doing big impersonal "romantic" gestures for Y all the time to make us believe it, which is in CB/CT land sadly the pinnacle of romanticism while in reality it simply is not, quite the opposite since those gestures that Ted did were usually very impersonal on top of it. Blue horn, orchestra etc. you could just exchange the woman they're meant for and it wouldn't really matter, especially since the woman in question already made it clear she doesn't even like such things. While the big things that Barney did for said woman were at least very personal, they were specifically tailored towards her. We have to go with reality when selling a relationship because of HIMYM's audience and in reality the most important cornerstones of a good and long lasting relationship look as following 1.) Love. 2.) Can you work together, on a day to day basis? Can you steer around problems? Can you take care of a home together? 3.) Children or life goals in general. 4.) Do you share similar interests, a similar worldview? I'm just going to compare B/R to T/R now regarding these points, I'm not even going to bother with bringing T/T in the mix. 1.) Love. We perfectly understand why B is in love with R, the show has made that clear, he thinks of her as his soulmate, he also sees her as his only hope of escaping that very sad life of his leave it behind forever and have something truly fulfilling with her, he adores her charm her wit and her overall personality, Baby Talk made that very clear. And as a bit of a shallow addition because I don't want to sound too cheesy now, I'm sure he's also very fond of her body. As for R loving B, I think he's the only boyfriend that ever made her feel appreciated for who she really is and not for what she is expected to be, and I think that is a major "love reason" (for the lack of better word, damn you English!) for someone like her, who was never deemed good enough by all the men in her life prior, from her own father, first boyfriend, first serious adult boyfriend T etc. who all did a very good job with making her feel inferior, and then comes B who likes her exactly the way she is which must be a very uplifting feeling for her (as you mentioned, he saw her without being annoyed or unmanned, but actually being impressed by it), so she obviously sees him as her soulmate, that's just logical. As for T loving R. Why exactly? We don't know why, I saw this point being brought up by someone here a few weeks ago and I was thinking about it a bit and my answer too is that I don't know why. The show never tells us, the show just says T loves R and that's it. So we have to look at the way it started and then and I must say T's supposed love is even quite shallow, he sees his friends getting engaged and he goes down to the bar because he wants that too, sees R and decides he's in love with her. So what T loves about R is the possibility of a lifestyle she can give him, a pretty face and a tight body, that's it. And I don't even know why R would love T, I can't even come up with a single reason, he's safe and dependable I guess? Wow, what a grande romance...

If, after nine years, the viewership as a whole doesn't know why the male lead is supposedly crazy in love with his female friend and runs after her the second he's done grieving his wife, then guess what? It was written poorly.  Why did Ted love Robin? Umm, she was there? Would it have been any different if any other woman had walked in at that given moment? Or if Barney swooped in and put a move on Robin instead of playing "haaave you met Ted?" Ted moves on to the next girl?  Young man sees a beautiful young woman, attraction is only natural. But does he love her at first sight? He doesn't even know her. First date, Ted is in love with Robin, but she's only looking to jump that turnstile (her words.) The hook HIMYM had was that the lead didn't spot his dream girl across a crowded room, declare he'll get her and then get her. No, lead sees dream girl across a crowded room, but she's not his dream girl after all, ends up becoming one of his best platonic friends and marrying his perpetual bachelor best friend, now there's something original.  No matter how many Ted Mosby Grand Romantic Gestures (patent pending) Ted hauled out of his bag of tricks, they didn't work on Robin. Not the blue French horn (any of the times) not the whole orchestra, not making it rain, etc. He shot, but he didn't hit the target. Ted's gestures toward Robin were all about Ted. When Barney made a grand gesture, it was all about Robin. For all his derision of Canada, he brought Canada to her, because that's what she wanted. There's a difference.  As for why Robin would love Ted, she doesn't. Said so in her own words, but I guess that's not plain enough, or the woman's wishes and feelings don't matter in this story world? Eh, he's safe and it's better than being alone? Not good enough. :whipcrack:

 They don't, it's all written in the show that they don't. I never found out why Robin even puts up with Ted's antics, his gestures are meaningless to her and she isn't attracted to those gestures or Ted himself so why does she even like Ted. They have zero in common, they couldn't even live together without fighting, they were a terrible couple totally unmatched and had wanted different things. All the things Ted did for her was all about him, it's very true and everything Barney did for her was FOR HER. Barney sees the actual real woman she is, Ted sees what he wants to see because she's hot. What's the real reason behind any romantic feelings between two people who aren't right for each other. There's a difference between real love that's selfless and fake love that's selfish. Robin loves Barney, end of point that is all there because she loves him just like he loves her. For each other, those feelings, that love would never go away ever because they are each other ONE.

 The Ted and Robin relationship that I love is not the implausible romance, but the very plausible platonic friendship. Ted goes all out with his grand romantic gestures, and they fall flat with Robin because those aren't things that impress her. Ted's gestures are for Ted. The mutual spark isn't there, but it is with Barney. Barney's gestures are for Robin.  Ted and Robin don't work as a romantic pair, because they don't want the same things or have the same worldview, but as friends, the rub along quite well. Take the romantic/sexual angle out of the relationship and they do fine. Brother/sister, almost, which fits with both of them having their own respective spouses; the spouses, Tracy and Barney, each make Ted and Robin more themselves, not less.

 I've always saw them as a brother/sister/platonic/friends type relationship it works for them. Romance doesn't, she loves the little things that Barney does for her because she knows those things he does are for her not for something to get from it. Barney loves to make her happy and by doing that it means putting her first and doing things for her because she wants them. IE, getting her a job to stay in the country cause she loves being in NY with her friends who are her family and the rehearsal dinner which was his surprise to her because she's always wanted to get married in her home country. All those things he does is to make her happy everything Ted does is for himself ie winning her back when she's happy with Barney and sees that with his own two eyes.

 Barney has done much to make Robin happy; we find out that he went with her to rehome the dogs Ted insisted she give up because their presence made him uncomfortable. Barney got Robin a job in an extremely competitive industry on extremely short notice to keep her in the country (and would have married her if that would have done the job) brought Canada to her, etc. For a man who had spent several years chasing his own momentary pleasures, investing this much and doing this much for someone else's happiness is huge.

 2.) Can you work together, on a day to day basis, can you steer around problems? Can you take care of a home together? All we saw of B/R ever since they got engaged was them steering around problems, together like mature people, so OFC they can. As for the home, they never said they can't and the fortress looked in pretty good shape at the end Something New, even with flowers and stuff which I'm sure R brought into it, so he let her change stuff which both means they can take care of a home. Remember what happened when Quinn wanted to change stuff? I know that these problems probably shouldn't even come up in CB/CT land, and the very fact they do means the marriage is doomed in their crazy mind, and that notion is OFC rubbish in reality. As for T/R. I haven't quite followed that relationship enough, but all I know is that whenever some problems arose they were being dealt with in the "Ted behaves like a douche, Robin is mad, someone convinces Robin that Ted is right (even though he isn't), Robin goes back to her father boyfriend to apologize, they kiss, I yawn" manner. They couldn't even move in together when paired up, and when not paired up they couldn't even run the apartment together without fighting. 3.) Children and life goals in general. B/R have both been shown that the idea of children entertains them. As long as they aren't their own. As for R's career ambitions, I would say that depends on the R we're talking about, if it's the s3-s9 Robin then there are no issues since she already has a career, doesn't care about travelling and values love and friendship over career and travel anyhow. She's a big city girl who loves NY and doesn't want to live in a suburban hell (her own words not mine.) As for B, I don't think he really has a live goal, the only one I can think of is successfully leaving his womanizing behind for something more fulfilling, which he has with R, I know he loves NY like R does and since the real s3-s9 R doesn't want to travel anyhow and has a high ranking job in NY it should work. As for T/R. T wants his own family, he wants children and he wants to live in his house in Westchester with them, that is all. I don't think R secretly wants children, and I'm sure she would rather set herself on fire than live suburban (again, her own words not mine.) 4.) Do you share similar interests, a similar worldview? I'm not even going to bother with a lengthy passage here since my comment is already getting way longer than I originally planned. I'm just going to say 3 episode names off the top of my head, Zip Zip Zip, Natural History and Something New. I see two cynical people who both also remained a bit of a child at heart. T/R have never been shown to have similar interests, other than drinking alcohol at the bar which OFC can't be seen as a basis for a relationship. As for the worldview, he's a hopeless romantic, and she's the exact opposite of that. Just imagine how she would react to T when he tries the same moves on her like he did with Victoria in the one episode where M/L where trapped inside the bathroom. Carter and Craig had all bases covered when it comes to B/R. And not covered when it comes to T/R, they successfully convinced us with it why whose two should not be together, all they had to do is make both of it happen. But no, they went with stolen decor and some locket instead. And these two clowns have the gall to say what they did was "realistic" and "true to life"? No wonder this exploded so hard in their face as it did.

 Wow. So much good reasoning here. Very true. (And when did I become a Shiba Inu? Blaming cold meds.)  All of these things are essential for a lasting relationship, and it's plain to see, given these criteria, which couple would last, and which one would either go down in flames or simmer in silent resentment for decades, as we did see in one of the potential flashforwards in The Front Porch.  Love the description of Barney and Robin as both being cynical people who are a bit of a child at heart. That's a huge part of what makes them as well suited for each other as they are. They do have similar goals, mindsets and worldviews. They function as a couple even when not a couple, and when they are together, they become more than the sum of their parts.  By the end of the show, we were all perfectly set up to see exactly why Ted and Robin would never work (and how many times did Ted get over Robin for real this time?) that Barney and Robin would, and the reward for Ted for hanging in there was his true perfect match, Tracy, whom he could only meet once he really did give up on the dream of (his idea of) Robin. By 9.22, we had the satisfying ending within reach. You had one job, CB/CT. One job. Bad writers. No spinoff.

fuck me. do i want to talk about hook ? no, actually. i don’t want to talk about hook at all because he’s a pansy ass fucking hypocrite who get’s excused from all his bullshit just because he’s banging the fucking savior. but oh hoe, oh hoe hoe, it’s okay because he’s “redeemed” himself. i’m sorry, how the fuck did he redeem himself ? “but lara, hook came back for everyone to take them to neverland! he helped save henry! he loves emma!” fuck off, that is complete assfuckery ok. he came back for everyone to take them to neverland ? yeah, after he helped gary and tammy fucking torture regina. “but lara, she deserved it, she’s done worse so it’s ok and it wasn’t his fault” fuck off is going to be a real common phrase here. she did not deserve to be fucking electrocuted until she passed the fuck out. what the fuck ? and it ***is*** his fault, he’s the one who fucking delivered her to them with a red fucking bow on her head.

and i’m not sorry, but how the fuck did he “help save henry?” he did jack shit on that island. literally. jack. shit. they could’ve found another way there, i have hc’s about it but that’s not the fucking point right now. the fucking point is that he couldn’t even lead them through the fucking island so what was his actual purpose on this rescue mission except try to get in emma’s pants ??? they should’ve taken ruby instead. at least she could’ve tracked henry’s scent ffs. 

but then, but then they all come back from neverland, and emma and henry get sent away, and everyone else returns to the enchanted forest, but he’s so in love and so good now that he absolutely has to be the one to seek out emma and return her memories so she can come back and save the fucking town which, might i add as a side note, she didn’t even fucking do??? fucking regina saved the town assholes, fite me. idk, maybe the other mother of henry should’ve been the one to track emma down, maybe the biological father of henry should’ve been the one to track emma down, maybe one of emma’s parents should’ve been the one to track emma down. noooooo it had to be the pirate. and he couldn’t even do that properly! who the fuck just goes up to someone and is all “your life isn’t real, your same age parents from another world are in trouble, you never raised your son, come with me” ????? like seriously ?

but he’s completely fucking useless then too. doesn’t do jack shit about zelena, doesn’t do jack shit about breaking the curse, doesn’t do jack shit about helping anyone except emma because they’re true fucking love. are you kidding me ? seriously ? his only purpose in that plotline was to fucking make out with another woman so that emma can’t use her magic and everyone happens to forget that he did that ? fuck off. but you know, that’s fine because everything he didn’t do has absolutely redeemed him in the eyes of everyone. 

let me just point out that he has absolutely no fucking character development whatsofuckingever and nothing was ever addressed about his three hundred year attempt at revenge on rumplestiltskin. that animosity disappeared as quickly as emma’s pants did. 

and then he and emma go and do literally the stupidest fucking thing you can do. they went and fucked around in the past. what the actual fuck ? did emma not watch back to the future ? were they not listening when regina explained what would happen if zelena changed the past so she wouldn’t exist ? they literally changed the whole fucking story and saved a woman who was sentenced to prison. they didn’t know who the fuck she was, they didn’t know why she was imprisoned. regina could’ve had a valid fucking reason for it but nooooo they know better so they’re going to save this random woman and bring??? her??? back??? to??? the??? future??? couldn’t just leave the bitch there and had her explain it as “i escaped” fuck no, that would be too logical. 

and we all know hook and emma are all about the logic #sarcasm

but as if he couldn’t get any worse, he fucking went and proved me wrong and he got fucking worse. dark swan plot comes along and he’s all “we have to save emma!!!” as if they’re not already going to try ??? you’re not the only one who fucking cares about her not being a dick to everyone, captain dumbass. but you know, it’s okay to endanger a twelve/thirteen ( how the fuck old is henry in season three ok because the fucking timelines suck ) year old kid against his mother’s fucking wishes because he wants to go on some gung-ho mission without a fucking plan to save his other mother who, if he really fucking knew the woman, wouldn’t want henry involved in the first fucking place ???? or at least, if she was a decent mother she wouldn’t ????

and i’m not sorry but i’m pretty sure he didn’t do jack shit in camelot either ??? like literally did nothing that was even remotely helpful at all. but he ragged on regina who was doing literally everything she possibly could ??? and ragged on her for asking emma to save robin but then he goes and gets himself turned in to the fucking dark one and sent down to hell but it’s okay for literally everyone to go on a fucking rescue mission to save him even though he’s completely useless and no one cares about him except for emma ???? he should’ve gone to hell a fucking century ago, nothing would’ve changed in the story, him not being a part of the show wouldn’t have affected shit about the fuckery that is once upon a time anyway.

Regina owns a Dessous boutique and Robin comes in quite often to buy stuff for his imaginary girlfriend in Regina's sizes and her taste because he just wants to talk to her and work up the courage to ask her on a date but Regina thinks him weird bc why would he flirt with her and buy all this shit for his girlfriend. Later she finds all the unopened bags with stuff in his apartment.

Wonder Woman scene at the healing lake thingy. Regina sees a (naked) man for the first time.

"you can't just run around and threaten to kill everyone." "Oh but you never told me that so how would I know?"

Dark Robin contacts Regina when he doesn't know how to deal with the EQ after a particular fight.

Ink Heart AU Whenever Regina reads a story out loud, characters come to life. She vows never to read out loud again.  One day she comes home to find Robin Hood in her son's room. Henry confesses that he shares her strange gift.

"The poor guy at table 4 has almost ordered the whole menu just so he can look at you and you didn't even give him a smile. How about when you slip him your number instead of ask what dessert he wants."

Troy AU (Robin as Achilles and Regina as Briseis, evtl. Hook as Paris and Emma as Helena) when her temple is plundered Robin saves priestess Regina from the hands of the Spartan men.

After missing year just after curse broke. Regina asks Robin to pick up some tampons for her from the store. It turns into quite an adventure because Robin doesn't know what they are.

AU A: "sorry you're sitting on my sun lounger. B: oh and since when is it yours?" A: I clearly reserved it before breakfast with my towel - which by the way you're sitting on! so get your butt off my sun lounger or else."

Robin spills a drink on Regina.

Your OTP is covering up a murder.

Robin doesn’t die instead is resurrected somehow and in NYC as a dark Robin. Things from the finale happen. Regina kills the EQ but she doesn’t die because her soul is tethered to Robin or something like  that. EQ and evil Robin find each other. Regina has to find a way to kill EQ or reunite with her and save Robin from the darkness.

Robin dies or so they believe, but in actuality a villain has given Robin a memory curse and he remembers nothing of his life with Regina. Regina helps him remember.

Regina and Robin go look for Daniel’s grave and they happen to find  both his and Marian’s stone. Both tipped over and Regina and Robin  share an emotional moment.

Groundhog Day AU with OQ.

Regina drunkenly confesses to Robin about the lion tattoo and pixie dust. Robin misunderstands and thinks she doesn't want him around her

Regina picks up the newest book by her favorite writer. Another best  seller that she can’t get enough of. What she doesn’t realize is that  the heroine from those books is inspired by her and the books were  written by her sweet, handsome but oh so shy (at least in RL) neighbor  Robin.

Regina and Marian are single moms, neighbors and best friends. When Marian dies she leaves Roland in Regina’s care. A  few months later Robin moves in next door. While unpacking his things  he discovers a picture of a very pregnant Marian and remembers their  night together before leaving for England. There is a date on the back  of the photo and he does the math. He is a father and his son is closer  than he thinks.

Through a glitch in the system (or was it?) two strangers find  themselves married to each other. (somewhat inspired by the movie  Accidental Husband).

Regina’s house/apartment is on fire. Lt. Robin Locksley and his  men save her and Henry. She goes over to the firehouse to thank them  properly and ends up inviting Robin for dinner.

Henry and Robin bond and so do  Roland and Regina and they both start seeing each other in a new light.

Regina as a soldier. She comes home from her second tour in Iraq. She  is not the same woman she used to be after all the things she has seen  and  all the things she has done. She wants to get her life back on track.  Along the way, she meets Robin who is battling his own demons and  understands her better than she thinks.

Henry makes sure that  several things in his house break and Robin (a handyman) has to come and  fix them. Hopefully, his mom’s broken heart as well.

Regina,  single mom, mayor and workaholic is in desperate need of a new housekeeper/nanny after Henry has scared off yet another one. Robin,  widower and single dad who’s life has not been easy after losing Marian  is in desperate need of a new job and home for him and his son Roland.

After a blackout, heavily pregnant Regina ends up stuck in an elevator  (or another place, whichever you prefer) with a stranger. Unfortunately,  her water breaks and Robin has to help her deliver her baby.

Regina is Mary Margaret’s childhood friend and maid of honor. Robin is  David’s best friend from college and best man. The first meeting  between the couple’s best friends doesn’t go as planned and ends in a  disaster with a very upset MM and a disappointed David. Regina and Robin  are forced to put their differences aside to ensure a happy wedding day  for their friends.(If there is a part with them having to take dance  lessons and things heat up during that I won't be sad.)

Regina and Robin as thieves: It is the 3rd time he had outsmarted her and stolen from right under  her nose. Only this time he is a bit careless with his disguise (at  least that’s what she thinks) and she manages to see the lion tattoo on  his right arm which helps her track him down. Her plan is to steal  everything back from him. His plan is to steal one last thing from her:  her heart.

Robin, a single dad, saves Henry from being run over by a car, but gets hit himself in the process.  Regina is so grateful she helps him and Roland while Robin heals.

Robin is a disgruntled former employee of Cora Mills who, in a moment of desperation, kidnaps Coras daughter, Regina.

Robin, somewhat of a ladies man, gets the shock of his life when a  social worker hands him a baby boy, telling him that his mother had died  and that she wanted the baby’s father to take care of him. Robin doesn’t know what to do and asks his neighbor Regina for help.Regina  is reluctant at first. She doesn’t like him. Thanks to him Henry has witnessed his conquests walks of shame on a regular basis which always led to awkward questions.

Robin can’t explain the feelings he has for Regina. One night he  overhears a very drunk Regina and Tinkerbell (Tink already knows that  it’s Robin and drops a few hints without giving him away) talking about  the man with the lion tattoo and it all starts making sense.

Robin cuts in line at the supermarket. Regina is not having it.

Robin is so used to sleeping in the forest he won't fall asleep in houses etc because of the missing forest noises (birds, frogs...)

Author Henry by accidentally mixes up some of his comics with the stories he's supposed to be writing down. ... therefore somehow Regina and Robin trade places with some comic book characters.

Regina used to be a teen Popstar, now a few decades have passed. Life has happened etc and she's asked to be back on stage for a show to celebrate the decade she's been famous in. They want her to share the stage though with a few men who used to the British boyband "The Merry Men"

Robin meets Regina in Seattle and they fall for each other again not recognizing who the other is. When the curse breaks (and we all bawl our eyes out with them cause they found each other after three billion years) robin reveals he has a huge thing for Regina in curls... After he does, she embraces her natural wave almost permanently.

WW2 AU by grayautumnsky - Robin is a Nazi soldier during the occupation of France. If this were a manip (doesn't have to be), the pics of Sean from Timeless would be perfect. As for Regina, when I think of her in this fic I always picture the character Sira from The Time In Between (which is set during WW2).
