*08/09: mini fanmeeting through zoom call - a brief explanation

about two or three weeks ago, there was an announcement on weverse about this mini fanmeeting. Armys with membership, passports and ID in korean kakaotalk would be able to meet BTS through a zoom call. 200 armys were randomly picked and they had to wear pijamas (just like the boys did). It started around 7/8 am KST and it was divided in 4 sessions of 30 min each. i'm sorry i can't tell you where to watch, i've seen many many clips from many different accounts, but videos and photos will be uploaded soon by weverse! ☺️

00:20 K: So, as to why we are here..it will be a mystery to everyone I think.

J: Haha

K: Joe just really wanted to eat this bread.

J: Thats right.

K: So, we came here.

J: Yes.

K: Akamaru Bakery.

J: Yep, Akamaru Bakery.

K: Where is this?

J: Its Zōshigaya. Well, Zōshigaya is just up there, but this place probably only locals know about. Its on Tsurumaki Street. This is a very small shopping street, but Akamaru Bakery is here. I found this place by chance before, and it was really good.

T: What did you get?

J: Kaoru?

K: Chicken Nanban

T: I got a hot dog.

J: I got this tuna and egg mix.

K: I wanted to get that, but I thought I shouldn't if you are getting it.

J: Haha, no, no, no, that makes me look bad.

K: Hahah.

J: This is ¥190, right?

T: Its cheap, isn't it?

J: It is cheap!  Ok, lets stand and eat.

T: Yep.

J: Ok, lets go for it. Apologies to the locals, we are not trying to be rude. Its a food report. This kind of bakery is quite rare these days, isn't it? They're all like new, stylish ones now.

K: *eats* Mm.

J: *eats* Mm, tastes good.

K: Yeah, its good.

J: The bread is really soft too.

T: Yeah.

J: I didn't eat before this.

K: If this was in my neighborhood, I would come every day.

J: Absolutely. Ah, delicious. So, this is like an 8 min walk from Zōshigaya station, right? Its a bit of a walk, but you'll be able to find it online if you search for it.

T: Ths is good. Its delicious.

T: Its Kishibojinmae station.

K: Ahh, so ??? (*Facing away from camera with mask on...couldn't clearly make out what he said*)

J: Thats it. So, we are gonna move to a different spot from here.

T: Yep, its been all funfunfun before now, but this time we are gonna go looking for some Tokyo mysteries. So, we'll get on this train and go to a certain place.

J: Tokyo Sports is all about mysteries, monsters, and UFOs, right? (*Couldn't really follow the rest of this exchange*)

*They get on, then off the train at the next spot*

3:29 T: The mystery spot that I am gonna introduce is this bridge. Omokage bridge (Omokage=face/visage).

J: It just looks like a regular bridge.

T: Its a really short bridge. Its almost not a bridge. This explains the name (*points to info board*). So, actually, on the otherside of the bridge there used to be the criminal execution center for Zōshigaya.

J: Ahh, so this is not exactly the river Styx, but..

T: Yeh, and they would part from thier family on this side of the bridge, and be taken over to the other side.

J: I see.

T: Its just a theory, but its thought that its called 'Omokage/visage brige', because they left the memory thier faces here. But there is also a history to this brigde. You know the story of 'Yotsuya Kaidan'/The Ghost of Yotsuya?

J: Yep, yep.

T: With Oiwa san..

J: Like 'I curse youuuu'

T: Yeh, yeh, yeh. Do you know the story of Oiwa san?

J: Yeh, I do. Like 'One plate, two plates..'

T: No, thats Sarayashiki, thats a different one. So, what happened was, there was a man, and his wife called Oiwa. The man became annoyed with her, and she was made to drink a poison which scarred her face. Then he forced her to seperate from him. The woman cursed him, saying she would come back as a ghost. This woman Oiwa was nailed to a door post, and thrown in the river to be washed away, there's a scene like that, right?  Its thought that this is the spot she was thrown in the river. So, this story, Yotsuya Kaidan, came about as a Kabuki play after its writer, Tsuruya Nanboku had gathered up a lot of these kind of local  rumors during the Edo era. We don't know if Oiwa san really was washed away here, but we know this kind of thing did happen. Its only a short bridge, but its got this kind of history going back to the Edo era.

J: ???*1

T: Actually, I used to live around here.

J: Ehh? Why in such a frightful place?

T: It was cheap.

J: Is this in Shinjuku ward?

T: No, its in Toshima ward.

J: Oh, Toshima?

T: Just on the verge of Shinjuku.

K: It says Shinjuku here.

T: Yes, but..Oh, the other side is Toshima.

J: Where we are stood now is Shinjuku. Its next to Waseda, right?

T: Should we cross the bridge?

K: Yeah, lets cross it.

T: So you see, this place is very historic.

J: It makes a shiver run down your spine when you think of it.....*shudders*. Sorry, its just being in this place.

K: Ok, should we head to the next spot?

J: Yeh, should we go?

K: Its a different place next.

J: Here in Bunkyō Ward, they call this place Nezucchi (*The name of a comedian who is good at tellIng riddles*)

J: Haha

J: Sorry, Im embarrassed now, haha. Well, actually, they call this area Yanasen/谷根千, which is the neighborhoods of Yanaka, Nezu, and Sendagi together, and we are in Nezu today. Its a very quiet surburban area, but this place was voted for by a listener, or rather a user, as a good mystery spot. We recieved this email, so Kaoru could you read it out?

K: (*reading*) Its from 'Yasubeniisann'. It says, 'This is quite famous, but in Nezu there is a haunted staircase. When you go up the stairs there are 40 steps, but going down, there are only 39'....Um..did..

J: We already spilled the mystery.

T: Yeah.

J: Well, we already spilled the mystery , but yes, this is what we are going to see. A mysterious set of stairs. Lets go.

8:49 K: (*approaching the stairs*) Right up to the top, yeah? Not half way?

J: Yeah, I think right up to the top.

K: Both sides are the same, right?

J: Seems like it. Which side is the way up?

K: Eh? You could go up either side, right?

T: You mean like on an escalator where one side is up and one side is down.

J: Should we try counting the steps?

K: You're too eager, haha.

T: Which side should we do, the right side?

J: No, lets go with the left side.

T: Like in Kantō.

J: Yep, Kantō style.

K: Ok, Im gonna start.

J: Ok...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7....

J: Maybe you're supposed to go up the other side.. I can hear you.

T: Im out of breath..

J: Oh, you're carrying the bag..

T: Its embarrassing, im out of breath.

J: (*Getting to top*) 40!

T: (*Starting from the bottom*) This is the first step, yeh? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9....

T: Then across?

J: No, no, diagonally.

T:...38, 39, 40.

K: You included the very first step at the bottom, right?

T: Yes...huh?

K: Huh? Really? How come only I'm different?

K: You're not counting this one, are you? (*To J*) This one is ???*2

J: Ahh, thats the difference.

K: Its like can you count this as 1..?

J: Yeah, thats it.

K: Im not sure.

T: Its raised by about 5cm.

K: Well, I mean...we'll digest that bread easily.

J: Haha, yeah, we can definitely say we exercised today.

T: Its been quite tough for the staff doing the filming.

J: Yeah, haha. While we were going up one by one, they were going up and down each time. But what is our verdict about this?

K: Was is right? If this is the first step?

J: Im pretty intrigued about this.

T: Well, let's give our answer here. To conclude.

J: As a last word?

T: Yeah.

J: Well, it depends on whether or not you count this as the first step. If you do count it, then there is 40 steps going up. But if you look over here, this side is barely elevated from the ground at all. So you end up taking the second level as the first step.

K: Yeah.

J: Thats it right? And back over here, the first step is more elevated, so you would make that number 1.(*Starts climbing*).1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...

K: (*To T*) Ok, shall we go?

T: Yep, lets go. Bye Joe.... ... ... That was fun.

Color Rush Live Blogging

I don't know whether to call it Color Rush or Colour Rush lol

I know people were disappointed with Season 2, so I probably won't watch that but I'm curious about Season 1. Unique premise, seems very popular but somehow I see more criticism for it than love, so who knows? Hope I enjoy it :>

Episode 1 (March 08, 2022)

1 glance into the classroom and you can already tell who's gonna be the love interest lol mans in the back beside the window wearing a bright sweater and sleeping on his desk while everybody else is in uniforms

i wasn't expecting the love interest to be so forward; he's called our MC (Yeon Woo?) pretty like 5 times already, though it's not really in a super flirty way

these slow-mo shots of their faces is annoying

the colour rush visual effects are so funny

Every time I see the love interest guy I'm like wow... I miss Kang Seo Joon from True Beauty; maybe I'll watch a compilation of him or Jukyong my love on Youtube instead and watch the rest of this later; also unrelated but I think Jukyong and Soojin should've had a little thing just because umm pretty girls friends to lovers would've been <33 idk why i'm talking about this here randomly + it's been months since I watched that show but I'm still mourning the missed sapphic opportunity i guess

why does this love interest guy talk so slowly? maybe it's supposed to give of a relaxed vibe but it's just coming across slightly sleepy and stilted to me

Episode 3 (March 08, 2022)

"this guy doesn't care about us who've been friends! He only cares about Yeon Woo!" "Yeon Woo is very special, unlike you two." ack cute >.< but I keep remembering season 2 doesn't even have their romance and the cuteness is dampened lol

Yoo Han's actor's acting choices are just not working for me but Yeon Woo is pretty good; like the wonder and overwhelming emotions when seeing colours vs the desperation when they're not there.

I think the fact that Yoo Han could be a very intriguing character (doesn't fear being a Probe but rather taunts it; treats Yeon Woo so cutely sometimes but also becomes cold when demanding Yeon Woo lets him teach him). He could be a fun little manipulative dude but some of his acting choices irritate me and I have to try hard to look past that.

The last scene with Yeon Woo on the couch talking to his aunt and then Yoo Han calling him is shot/edited/idk so well. After watching mediocrely created stuff like The Tasty Florida and Behind Cut, getting to watch this is interesting like it might not have big big big budgets of full dramas but the eps are 15-20 mins rather than 10-12 and it's shot and edited well too.

Episode 4 (March 08, 2022)

Yoo Han such perfect toxic boyfriend: being so sweet and wanting to show Yeon Woo new things but also wanting Yeon Woo to heavily depend on him and to control him (via allowing him to see his face)

I wonder if we'll get to explore this dynamic of where Yeon Woo thinks he's the danger but Yoo Han has a sinister, perhaps danger-seeking side to him too

Why would they do a flashback of a scene we watched genuinely 2 seconds ago like fr 2 seconds. My compliments... somewhat withdrawn

This nurse is so ??? in episode 1 she was like "i'll be doing something else so call me if he's dying" and now she's like "don't do this at school" like aldf if they do colour rush stuff elsewhere wouldn't it be equally or more dangerous and without any school clinic help?

I'm learning Korean colours right now so I'm watching this at the correct time, I guess. Feu! Brown is 갈색! Stop forgetting! Yeon Woo's mom's 갈색 heels.

His reaction to seeing his mom's painting in full colour for the first time T.T Parent-child relationship is always so </3 like even when it's happy it's heartbreakingly beautiful but right now it's just </3

The thing is that I know they don't find out about the missing mother by season 1 because people were still wanting to know when Season 2 was coming out. So, I'm just kinda not on the edge of my seat for this mystery because I've already made peace with the fact that they just... won't give it to me lol

oh dang I knew about the suicide thing but I was under the impression it was mostly suicide ideation and like maybe 1 step toward fulfilling that but it was like a full blown attempt

I deeply wish the guy playing Yoo Han could just... act better. Yeon Woo out here putting his all into it, so he comes across even worse. Like dude how did this escape and confession scene fall flat when the set up was supposed to make the viewer feel everything? All of Yoo Han's actions and expressions are so monotone

Episode 8 (March 09, 2022)

The scenes at the sea should be cute and they kind of are but Yoo Han is so bland that the relationship also feels bland

I knew the mother mystery wasn't going to be solved going in but I imagine people who watched it while it was airing were disappointed lol

Edit after reading reactions to Ep 8: I thought we already knew that Yoo Han couldn’t recognize faces and such, why were people saying it’s like a plot twist? I guess we didn’t explicitly know that he could recognize Yeon Woo only but I just... assumed that was the case based on prior experience lol

Better than the very mediocre kBLs I've watched recently but I wouldn't call it great. Unique premise but they didn't develop it all as much as they could have (the mother mystery, I'm not even certain of the state of Yeon Woo's colour rush stuff at the end). Also the shortness of the show means there’s just not enough time for everything like we had a literal suicide attempt but it was all dealt with so quickly and it was chill and happy quickly enough like what?  

Enjoyed watching our main character, he acted well and was nice to look at, but the love interest's acting choices constantly took me out of the story; it's not the worst ever but it seemed like he was just regurgitating the script.

I'll go read what people had to say about Season 2 but I probably won't watch it (unless they have a cool/satisfying conclusion to the mother mystery)

The epic sound of the compositions includes uplifting choir parts, opulent orchestrations, dreamy-playful flutes, rounded up by an overwhelming string section.

Also included is even an traditional Bulgarian instrument, the Tambura, which adds the characteristic Folklore shots to the demanding art of BENDIDA.

The first EP has been released at the beginning of 2012, entitled „The Farthest Shore“. In 2014 the band released the single „Prince Of Ice“, together with an official video clip. At the end of 2014, BENDIDA released their second official music video for the song „The Witch And The Devil“.

April 2015 saw them taking part in the competition „Kavarna Battle Of The Bands“, and in May the same year BENDIDA became the first finalist in „Wacken Open Air Metal Battle Bulgaria 2015“.

In 2017 the band released two video clips: „Land Of Perun“ and „Whispers In The Dark“. At the that year, they released their debut album, mystically entitled „Goddess Of The Moon“. Beside all their creative activities, these Bulgarian hopefuls shared the stages with established names as Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Kamelot etc.
