I think you’ve lost the plot a little bit if you go on a whole thing about how Taylor Swift is more problematic than Lord Byron because rich people were not less likely to die of disease than poor people back then so really Lord Byron was just a regular guy. A: he was literally a baron and he treated women like shit in an era where the rich had even more systemic power over the poor and men had more systemic power over women. B: there are good reasons to criticize Taylor Swift but “unlikely to die of a fever due to modern medicine available to most people in the developed world” is a weird one. C: I know some people want her to be more active in politics but I don’t think that should involve commanding a unit in the Greek War of Independence (or any other conflict) despite lacking military experience.
