since I have a very extensive spreadsheet tracking every single fic I read, I thought it might be fun to share my reading stats for the year of 2024! my second full year of actively reading wolfstar fanfic, and boy, was it a year...

I've read some amazing fics this year, branched out in terms of tags, discovered new authors then devoured their backlogs, witnessed several beloved WIPs reach completion and started many new ones.

so... let's get into it!!! this is just for me, for fun, using my silly spreadsheet. just for info, these word counts exclude actively updating WIPs with a start date pre-2024, simply because I wasn't sure how to count how many actual chapters/words were published and read by me in 2024, lol)

This is a random thought but I always assumed Mr D chose to look middleaged to look more like Zeus (as an insult). Like. Let me attempt to explain:

When I read the books, Zeus in my head looked like that one piece of official art— yk the one with the beard. So I assumed Dionysus chose to look middleaged similarly to Zeus but like— more bummified. Especially because Apollo is still not sure why he chose that form in TOA (Granted, that could be Apollo’s overall vanity talking)

Like I assumed it was like when a parent reprimands their kid and they do a mock impression of them to be sassy.

Do I have a good reason as to why Dionysus would choose to do that if Zeus never sees him? No. Do I think there’s something funny about the idea of Dionysus being banished then showing up at the solstice looking like his dad if he got real scruffy? Yeah sure why not lol

proud to say that I have never once in my life figured out the whodunit in any crime story I've read or watched. I just let the facts and clues wash over me, absorbing absolutely none of it. I am the audience they think of when they throw in red herrings, in case you've ever wondered "who would fall for this obvious false lead". it's me. I am the idiot viewer/reader. not once has an obviously framed clue revealed anything to me. my head is completely empty when I consume these stories.

Sathos and Memnos are very, very old and have been together for quite some time—courting long before they became the Lord and Lady of their Courts.

She tries to knock sense into him and it seems like it works sometimes but… It doesn’t. He pretends to care, because deep down their son is only an asset to him. Sathos directly goes against her cold, unfeeling nature to try and ensure her son knows she cares. Poor Kaeris is stuck in the middle because Sathos and Memnos BOTH keep trying to outsmart each other, but find that they can’t (for various reasons).

Also yes. Goooood. I will proudly carry the burden of giving you all a crk fixation. Go forth my minions.
