Listen, I love trains so much. They literally don’t check your luggage and once a lady audibly did coke behind me on the train (a story for a different time). I can get up and wander around. I can pick my seat. I don’t have to buckle in.

But this moment where I just walk onto a random train and the end destination is different than my destination and I theoretically could be on the wrong train (big Home Alone vibes) is THE WORST PART

To any American who cares about trains, the FRA is conducting a study up until March 8, 2024 (today) about the need, use, and future plans for Long Distance Rail Lines. Please take the time to read their explanation and give your response at the link here.

"But Misku! I know this is important but I don't know what to say!" Trains are awesome, we should have way more, and we can completely cover the expenses by ensuring everyone pays their fair share. Seriously though, you can say whatever you want. Just as long as you say something.

I love Lakeland's tiny little train station! I took it from Tampa to Lakeland for a weekend visit with one of my best friends, who took me on a scootering adventure. Lakeland has tons of events and markets - I also got a free little flower plant!
