It reminds me of when she got weirdly attached to the character from my book (that I haven't written yet) named Virgil, and yeah she's funny that way.

Amuri Tekno are Miika Salo and Miska Väänänen, hailing from Tampere, Finland. Their music is a homegrown blend of Detroit-inspired techno, tech-house, acid house, IDM, and ambient. They have released on such Finnish record labels as Kontact Records, Spin Records and Turun Levytehdas. They are both of the generation who was coming of age during the halcyon days of the early 1990s techno music and rave culture explosion which spread also to some more peripheral regions outside the obvious Detroit-London-Berlin axis, and furthermore, spawned such new musical genres as IDM and drum & bass. For some years now pHinnWeb has been a big fan of Amuri Tekno's music, so it was time to find out about their origins, ideas and views. For the interview, often accompanied by a hearty laughter, they share their insights not only about their own productions and instruments but also of being long-time music fans, discussing their favourite artists, labels and records, Tampere’s local scene and its history, and electronic music culture in general.

Las vidas de Gianni (Samuele Segreto) y Nino (Gabriele Pizurro) se cruzan (literalmente) cuando el primero iba a entregar una moto a un comprador mientras intentaba escapar de un par de salvajes con ansias de atacarle. Desde el principio se sabe que ambos, que viven en zonas alejadas de Sicilia, mantienen existencias disimiles: Gianni es empleado del taller de Franco (Enrico Roccaforte), pareja de Lina, su madre viuda (Simona Malato); su gran tragedia es el constante acoso al que lo someten los vecinos del pueblo, quienes conocen las inclinaciones afectivas del muchacho.

Nino, mientras tanto, disfruta la tranquilidad de una vida campesina: cuando no sale con su tío Pietro (Roberto Salemi) y su hermanito menor Totò (Simone Raffaele Cordiano) a cazar conejos, acompaña a su padre Alfredo (Antonio De Matteo) a ocuparse de la importante tarea de adornar los cielos sicilianos con el estallido de los fuegos artificiales que preparan.

Y llega ese día en que ambos se cruzan y cimentan una amistad que transforma sus vidas, y esto no es un decir: Gianni se enfrenta al novio de su madre y se pone a buscar un trabajo (justamente en el cantero de Pietro) y Nino encuentra en éste tal alegría que no duda en ir a buscarlo al trabajo para llevarlo a un río y pasar un tiempo juntos.

Por desgracia (y nunca mejor dicho pues la película, ambientada en 1982, esta basada en una trágica historia real acaecida en 1980), tan entrañable amistad despertará suspicacias y alimentará acciones extremadamente violentas y brutales hacia los amigos-amantes.

"Extrañeza de amor" (o "Fireworks", "Fuegos artificiales" en países de habla anglosajona), es una muestra de buen cine en el que su director y coguionista, Giuseppe Fiorello, narra lo que parece un idílico relato de amistad adolescente, enmarcado en un paisaje no menos brillante y espectacular, que se manifiesta en un entorno hostil y brutal.
