Eat of me, baby. Skin to the bone, body on body, until I'm all gone, but I'm with you, inside.

"Eat of me baby, skin to the bone / Body on body, until I'm all
gone / But I'm with you, inside"
thinking a lot about an ode to eaters. the way hayden continues her metaphor for cannibalism as a means of all-consuming obsession and love from preacher's daughter, and of that interview where she describes the feeling of wanting to be so close that even literally devouring one another isn't enough.
but i also think about it the other way around, of you yourself being so consumed by someone that it swallows you whole. to be both the eater and to be eaten at the same time. to be so desperately hungry but also so full of them that there's none of you left.
it's especially feral in this song. here she is, begging, "please. take all of me. i'm offering it all, i want you to have it. this is how much i love you." and god what a feeling to love someone that much, to offer literally every piece of yourself to them.
and like even if the person is gone, even once you've consumed all of each other and there's nothing left, they're still always with you - inside. you're a part of each other now and you'll carry each other forever.
idk if any of this makes sense. hayden just knows how to write about that sweet fucking obsessive, all-consuming love that makes my chest tight and i love to yap about her.

Silent and blue, it searched for you
I draw Cliff Burton to Ethel Cain a lot
Also I just noticed I forgot his tattoo. I'm distraught.
