@literallurker gave me this idea, and I wanted to share my headcanons on what I think everyone's MBTI is and why I believe that.

Charlie -ESFJ (Consul)

I mean, come on, this is so Charlie-coded. She loves helping people and putting a smile on their faces. She gets enjoyment and fulfillment from helping her people and those who lean on her the most. She is extroverted, in touch with her emotions, and in touch with others' emotions as well.

Vaggie -ISTJ (Logistician)

Vaggie respects how things should be run; look at how she reacts to Lucifer's appearance. She, however, is undeniably loyal and follows her heart when it comes to the one she cares about the most. She is quiet and reserved, only stepping up to the plate when it involves backing up Charlie.

Lucifer -ENTP (Debater)

Let's look at Lucifer's past, present, and seeming future. In the past, Lucifer questioned many things and wanted to know why and find out why things were how they were. Lucifer is a good leader when he is not depressed, he also shows pretty normal Extrovert traits he is just awkward cause he dedicated so much of his life to one person not the collective. We saw at the end of the show his true kingly and debater personality show where he agreed to help stick it to the angels and help Charlie.

Alastor - ESTP (Entrepreneur)

This man is a business tycoon, can we all agree? He has thousands of souls. He is a smooth talker and great at making deals. He has to be extroverted for that. On top of that, the only time we see this man dwell on his past is when he talks about his contract at the very end. Besides that, he is rooted in how he can benefit himself right here, right now. He also knows how to manipulate the situations he is in to benefit himself, something the Entrepreneur type is known for.

Angel Dust - INFP (Mediator)

Okay, hear me out, Angel is an actor; the Angel we see 90% of the time is not the real true him. When we see him in his raw form, he is really quiet and calm. He spoke of dreams and ideas he once had. Angel is forced to look extroverted when, in reality, he is the happiest in a small group of close people. He is happy making his friends happy. He loves helping even if he covers it up with his 'need' for sex and drugs.

Husk - INFJ (Advocate)

Okay, controversial, I know, but let me cook. Husk in the show fits this so well. He is compassionate towards Angel and the others, he is wanting to rebel against the contract system, he doesn't care about being powerful anymore now that he has lost all power. He is just a boy who loves his spider and friends. He has no issues helping Charlie the minute he finds out he was summoned for her, not Al.

Sir Pentious -INTP (Logician)

Man is socially awkward and inventing stuff left, right, and sideways. He is always curious to build the next best thing to make him the next powerful being. He never falters from his passion, either. He is passionate about the tasks he is given, which explains his displeasure in failing the Vees. Yet when Charlie gives him a new task, and he can excel at that, he is as happy as ever.

Niffty - ISTP (Virtuoso)

We have literally seen Niffty create the most horrid and cutest things out of her bugs. She is very attached to those she is close to, and she always has something going on in her mind. I think Niffty is a prime example of if it is in my head, I will be doing it, no questions asked.

Cherri Bomb - ENFP (Campaigner)

Cherri is the definition of a free spirit and a kind heart. She loves Angel deeply and would do anything to help cheer up her best friend. On top of that, she also has a no fucks filter and kicks ass to protect those she cares about. She is open and honest about her life style and her energy. Ready to take on the world one day at a time the best way she can.

Sera - INTJ (Architect)

Sera follows the rules and becomes the best she can be. She was given the directive of being the head angel and ran with it. She will do anything to keep her power and knowledge of the world. She is very smart and analytical when it comes to situations. Though she is in a powerful position, she is naturally introverted, often letting Emily take on more people-centric roles while she stands back and takes on more law and order roles.

Emily - ENTJ (Commander)

All right, this is more of what I just hope Emily becomes. In the span of minutes, we watched Emily completely turn her back on fellow Angels, all because she had learned what was really happening in hell. She would fight for the right cause and rally the troops for it. She is an energetic and open character who fights for what she believes is right. Seeing Pentious get redeemed, you bet she will be fighting for Charlie's plans.

Lute - ISFJ (Defender)

Okay, another may be controversial, but let me cook, please. Lute is super caring and concerned for her people, whether that is Adam, the exorcists, or angels as a whole. Yes, she looks like a big bad villain in the show because, well, she is. However, step into Lutes' shoes, and she is just trying to protect the peace of her people and family.

Adam - ENFJ (Protagonist)

He is another person who hear me out please needs to be looked at from his perspective. Adam is, by all means, the main protagonist in the Bible and in the world of heaven. He does what he believes is right and fights for what he believes is right. Even if he is an asshole, look at him from a different perspective than just through the eyes of Charlie, our narrator, through Hazbin Hotel. Adam believes his greatest purpose in life is to be the first man everyone has to look up to.

Vox -ESFP (Entertainer)

I mean, this is like writing itself; Vox is charismatic, has silver tongues, and is good with people. He can use his voice and charisma to woo people, and only then, if that fails, does he use his hypnotic powers. Vox enjoys entertaining by playing many roles in all his shows and assisting Vel and Val in any issue that seems to come up.

Valentino - ESTJ (Executive)

Hear me out, let me cook; we learn in should have stayed gone that Vox is pretty much powerless without the other Vee. It is also alluded to a few times that Val has been there the longest out of all the Vees. To be in the position of power Val is in, he needs to be an extrovert and have a way with words to lure people in. You may be thinking, but how does this tie into the executive role. I ask you to take a step back, like with the angels, and look at Val from the perspective of the Vees, not from Charlie and the narrators. He is set in his ways, expects perfection from his soul, and utilizes his power position as a form of mentorship for Vox and Vel so they can gain more notoriety.

Velvette - ISFP (Adventurer)

But she is a famous designer and sinstagram star. Yeah, and do you know how many influencers and social media people are actually introverts but come off as extroverted cause they are talking to a camera, not people directly. She is also suuuuper creative, and many fashion designers, just like other artists, have a hard time relating to people face to face and prefer to talk through their art mediums. I mean, look at how Velvette handled Val's tantrum. She called Vox cause she didn't know how to handle that situation.

Perceiving Functions

Purpose: How you take in information from the world that informs the decisions you make via the judging functions.

Extraverted Sensing (Se): Taking in information that is happening in real-time around you using your 5 physical senses. It sounds simple and that's because it kind of is! These people live in the here and now, and they tend to use Se to make very practical and relevant decisions that directly impact the situation in front of them. They don't typically get caught up in impractible abstract ideas or outlandish notions and they deal only with observations that everybody can share.

Introverted Sensing (Si): Relying on information built up over time from the individual's personal experience/past. These people are also practical and don't tend to get caught up in irrelevant theories that can't be applied to the situation at hand. Think "the devil is in the details" for these people. They focus on even minute details so that they can make the most informed and pragmatic decisions as possible.

Extraverted Intuition (Ne): Relying on the exploration of all possible effects or outcomes of a particular situation that anyone could imagine. These people are big picture focused and don't get bogged down by details that have little impact. These people like to consider every potential future before making a decision so that they have the most complete description of what the situation currently is and what it will be like next after this person takes action.

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Taking in all aspects of a situation that the individual personally decides is important for decision-making, usually summarizing all of the information in a way that puts it into short and simple terms. These people are also big picture focused and enjoy using their short summaries to focus on what the most-likely future outcome will be. Highly theoretical, these people can prefer to use metaphors to describe the current situation and explain how the ending will come about.

What are you arguments on Sae being an INTJ?

But I'm glad you asked because I was going to make a post on it anyway. The world deserves to know.

On why (I think) Sae is an INTJ

Itoshi Sae is currently typed as an ISTP on personality-database.com with 243 votes. Am I saying all those votes are wrong?

It can be a bit tricky to decide whether Sae is a J or P type, because J types tend to be more worried about how they are perceived by others, which Sae is not concerned about. I can see why people would think he is an IXXP type because of that.

However, these are an ISTPs MBTI functions as follows: Ti, Se, Ni, Fe. Which doesn't make sense for Sae and the way he plays soccer. Why?

Here's how Rin describes Sae's playstyle:

Key words being efficient, calculate and optimal.

This sounds a lot like extroverted thinking, which is a goal oriented function that values efficiency, and introverted intuition, that funnels sensory input into coming into an accurate conclusion (calculating the most optimal way to score). So, Sae's playstyle utilises Ni and Te rather than Ti and Se. Rin, who is typed as an INTJ on personality-database.com, was shown to have been emulating Sae's playstyle in the U20 match, when it's revealed that his original playstyle was more instinctual. So I don't know why people would think Sae isn't an INTJ, considering he was the original playmaker before Rin.

In fact, it would make more sense for Rin to be an ISTP rather than Sae. Auxiliary extroverted sensing can be explained to contribute to his instincts, which was better than Sae even at a younger age. Let me be clear, I do believe Rin is an INTJ, I'm just comparing the two.

Of course, one's playstyle doesn't define their MBTI type. But considering this is a soccer manga and we don't get many instances of seeing the characters not play soccer, this is what we have to work off on.

What's more, XNTJ types tend to be one-track minded due to introverted intuition (limited and deep focus, planning ahead) and extroverted thinking (goal oriented, ambition, efficiency), making them very driven to achieve a single goal. Sae has been playing soccer since he was one, and he hasn't strayed from his goal to become the best in the world, just that he switched positions.

To bring up another key difference between J and P types, J types to be more productive and focused on success/reputation, whereas P types like to do what they find fun and enriching. Compare Sae to an IXXP easier to identify like Nagi and you'll see the difference between a wholistic and individualistic ego (Isagi is onto something). Sae plays soccer to become the best midfielder in the world - wholistic ego. Nagi plays soccer because he finds it fun - individualistic ego.

with the week almost ending, francesca sat on reid's desk, lounging and disturbing him in any way that she can. he was busy finishing up his paperworks, which usually don't take him long so she presumed that something was wrong—utterly wrong for the boy wonder to be staring blankly at his monitor for ten minutes now while tuning her ramblings out.

"spence, hands down the tenth and eleventh doctors are the best."

he sighed at that, tapping his fingers together as he explained, "they are great, no doubt—"

"i'd let them run wild on me." she interjected calmly while checking her nails, nodding as if the idea's typical.

he fully looked at her, opening his mouth to speak only to close it and gather his thoughts, "i... how are we exactly judging them? because i think there might be a miscommunication here."

franz feigned ignorance as she turned her head to him and tried to look as innocent as she could muster. spencer is once curious man, and he'll stop at nothing to understand a concept he did not.

luckily, garcia arrived with emily to save her. the girls are already passionately exchanging points when they reached the two, their beloved tech girl throwing a question to the boy.

"what's your mbti?"

"infp, yours?"

penelope squeeled at that, gushing to reid at being only a letter different from him, "enfp!"

emily smiled at her excitement, nodding to the genius, "i'm surprised you even took the test."

"myers-briggs personality test is almost accurate. it was officially researched and the results are valid." he turned to emily with a smug grin in his his tone, "you're enfj."

prentiss rolled her eyes with a smile, hinting everyone that reid was indeed correct. garcia looked at the young trainee, "yours, franz?"

"me? intj," she answered casually, leaning her arm on the desk divider.

the pink-loving woman narrowed her eyes at her, pulling her head back as her voice came out pitchy in disbelief, "no, you're not."

"all that flirting and confessions and you're a t?" emily backed her, brows crossing but with a humorly scoff.

franz pressed her lips together in a thin smile, nodding slowly in reassurance, "73 percent."

"that's high." she grinned at their bemusement, amazed herself how they could not believe her mbti.

reid narrowed his eyes in analysis of the girl's previous behaviors, "if you really think about it, she has a tendency to rule by thinking rather than feeling."

the dark-haired woman chuckled mockingly as she shook her head, "oh, i don't think there's much thinking involved when she throws herself at the boss-man."

sainz could do nothing but laugh at her reasoning, which in all honesty, she could not say it was entirely untrue.

"how come you're introverted as well?" garcia grimaced in annoyance that the girl's mbti seems to be exactly the opposite of what hers should be.

"oh, you don't know me, penelope." she grinned teasingly with pride in her voice.

prentiss nodded upwards as she crossed her arms. the rest followed her line of sight, "what about him? what do you all think his mbti is?"

seeing the man arriving from his office blinds, hotch stood up and walked to his door, opening it slightly as he peeked out to call for her.

after exchaning their pleasantries, gideon had no chance to even blink before he saw the utter look of besottedness from the girl to her chief. he stared between the two inquisitively as he leaned back on the small shelf on the right side of the desk. franz took a seat across hotch, smiling too cheerfully for the men's liking.

hotch cleared his voice as he turned to jason before settling to the trainee in front of him, "as you know, it is mandatory for you to undergo a psychological evaluation after what had transpired."

she kept her eyes on him, listening intently—not to his words though but to his voice. he already knew the girl was barely conscious, her mind focusing on other matters and he had to roll his eyes inwardly in humor at that.

"obviously, i asked strauss to let me handle it. later on, i realized how biased my evaluations would be." he leaned back to his office chair, gesturing with his right hand to his former chief, "so, here we are. i brought gideon in to conduct the evaluations."

she grinned, turning to the older man with her eyes shining with its usual glint of mischief. franz shook her head lightly as she spoke self-assuredly, "he can't do the evaluations, sir, because he likes me."

hotch shut his eyes resignedly at her quip. the prestigious former chief, however, was less than amused, yet brows raising slightly in intrigue—a contrast to his monotone voice, "i can see that."

gideon stood up from his leaning and clasped his hand, putting her sarcasm at the back of his mind, "let's start."

he rounded the table as hotch stood up, the other taking his seat. her current unit chief moves to sit at the back of his office, silently waiting for them to start as he opted to observe.

"aaron," jason said suggestively as he puts on his glasses and opens the folder, scanning her files.

the man called did not move, his eyes narrowing at the sound of his name and refusing to acknowledge the other's gesture. with that, the older man raised his head from the paperworks to him. as he sees the all-so-familiar look from his former superior, hotch closed his eyes and sighed, standing up at once.

"wow, i've never seen him get kicked out of his own office so easily." franz chuckled lightly, her eyes still at ths sight of her boss descending the stairs. her laughter, however, dried when she turned back to gideon, only to see him looking at her pointedly.

"i've read the case report. i understand the need to take the shot."

they began the test, asking and answering questions back-and-forth, both related to the case and not. a good thirty minutes passed by with the man only using a single sheet to put down any observations. if it was a good thing or a bad thing, she had no idea.

gideon moved to more direct questions, frankly pertaining to the previous case now.

"i do not feel bad at all. is that a problem, sir?" she looked at her nails on her lap before leaning back on the chair and raising her head to him.

"it might be." gideon plainly said in observation.

"you know, i had to be prepared for this evaluation. get my facts right." he began, leaning on his back as well and removing his glasses, letting it dangle on his chest, "and so, i obviously looked at your records."

he paused for a good number of seconds, focusing at the papers in front of them in thinking of his following words before looking at her directly in the eyes, voice full of calmness and inquiry, "tell me, why did you intentionally fail your firearms proficiency?"

"how did you know?" she could not help the look of small surprise on her face as the man saw the pattern in her proficiency results.

he simply smiles at that, the gesture reminding the girl of who he is, "a trade secret."

franz chuckled inwardly at his secrecy. she pursed her lips, already knowing that her reasoning won't be enough for him, "i rather not carry a weapon, sir."

"why?" he was purely intrigued by that. a choice to not carry any firearm in this field of work... it was rare—and utterly foolish.

a playful smile slowly made its way on her lips, seeing the opening, "a trade secret."

"sainz," gideon smirked at her immediate wittiness, leaning forward with crossed fingers on the table, "do you play chess?"

after they finished, the two vacated the office, gideon nearing rossi right away. the two went to the coffee maker, probably staying there to chat lightheartedly. there was something so endearing about their small reunion, the rest of the team smiling at the sight of the two grandfathers of the bau.

"gideon's awesome—not like manly cool, but more of a grandma cool." reid stated with raised brows, the same way he shares random facts, his admiration for the man as clear as day.

a memory resurfaced in derek's mind, the old man screaming suddenly in a room facing the window as they were observing the victim's home. he shrugged at that but smiled nonetheless, "he's a bit questionable at times but he was a great chief."

francesca nodded with a soft smile as they recall their moments with their former chief, who unfortunately, she did not get the chance to work with officially. she could see it though—their description of him.

"If you could only see the look of disappointment on his face when i suck at chess." she chuckled as she shared to them her poor excuse of plays. she knew how to play, but strategizing was never her strong suit. sainz was a girl who preferred to be head-on.

she twirled around her office chair, listening to both men when jj rounded up the corner with the widest smile.

"look who's visiting!"

"why do we suddenly have a lot of visitors today?" franz questioned as she stood up from her seat, looking at her arrival. jj's grin was something the girl has dubbed as her mom grin. she removed her hands from the insides of her pocket at the realization, "jj... no."

"we thought this week must have been so stressing for you." jj began cheerily, the sounds of kids nearing them, "now, i don't know what makes you happy aside from hotch, but i do know that these kids can make everyone's day better."

her eyes widened as she finally see two boys around the same age and immediately turned back at once, as if mouthing to reid.

"spence, i do not like—"

"henry!"

she was cut off by the cheer in the voice of the boy genius, him crouching down to jj's kid. derek only laughed at her expression. awkwardness was a rare sight on the girl, moreso that it's as simple as children that causes it.

"hey... guys." franz made a pathetic attempt of a wave, her voice void of any comfort.

jack, hotch's kid, fist-bumped with morgan as little henry turned to her, "mom says you're stressed. this makes the stress go away."

she stood awkwardly as the kid hugged her, patting his back unsurely, "yeah... thanks, buddy."

sainz looked at his mother and whisper-yelled, "jj, stop making excuses to bring kids here."

"it's december!" the mother exclaimed with a chuckle, "they always visit during december."

penelope exclaimed at the sight of the kids too, showing familiarity as she ushered them forwards, "let's go, boys. your legos and other toys are still in my office."

both boys grinned at that, starting to follow garcia but turned back to the new face as they took hold of her hands.

"wha—no, no," she protested, finding it futile as they finally reached the doors just by the kids dragging her.

it's going to be a long day.

"from a lecture," he replied simply, crossing his arms on his chest, "feedback?"

his former chief's brows narrowed a bit at his short and vague answer. he mentally noted that before divulging his observations, "i do not think the case and the encounter affected her much. she has a strong personality, high loyalty and confidence, and understands the job and its demands. she is not easily affected."

hotch nodded at that, seemingly relieved, "that's good. she's fit for field duty then?"

"give this report to strauss."

he moved forward and took the folder from the other man's hand, his eyes landing on another sheet of paper with scribbled notes that he can only presume as something that should not be disclosed.

"she will be an excellent agent and profiler," gideon sighed as he kept his eyes to the man, observing even the slightest change in his expression, "good thing we got her first."

"jason, what does this mean?" hotch finally looked back at him as he gestured on the paper, confusion apparent on his features.

"she's very turbulent." he pursed his lips as he explained his analysis of her actions and disposition, "so far, manipulation and lack of empathy and remorse are the only apparent signs."

"still, i stand by what i said first, and those qualities are what exactly makes her just a potential one." he walked from the desk to the windows, maintaining his gaze outside as he continued, "francesca's incredibly self-aware, aaron. i think she might even already know she's all i'm explaining right now."

jason could not help but compare her to a bird. what kind? he doesn't know yet. perhaps, the reason is because the girl has not fully hatched yet.

what she will be? the world is yet to know.

"for what it's worth, she likes you," he breaks the silence and the tension from the newfound information as he turned back to look at hotch's expression. he could see his eyes reading the page over and over again, yet stopping at once by the mention, "genuinely."

he neared him again, asking with genuine interest. hotch was sharp. he was not someone who gets side-tracked easily, "did you really not know?"

aaron clicked his tongue lightly at that, putting down the file, "that she's bordering on aspd? of course, not."

"then you were right to call me." gideon stated suggestively, watching as hotch's jaw hardened ever so slightly, "maybe, your judgement is indeed biased."

he apologizes if he was having a hard time believing it—that the girl who's laughing and playing with his son and henry just meters away from him has those qualities. francesca is a young adult—a very rocky, confusing, and unstable age.

and so, he continues to tell himself that as he descends the stairs from his office.

the previous unit chief caught up with the others for a bit as sainz turned and immediately grinned to him as always.

she narrowed her eyes at him in mock-thinking, her fingers resting on her chin as she hummed, "sir, let me guess your mbti. you're istj, aren't you?"

this girl could not possibly have psychopathic tendencies. his mind scanned through each and every interaction they had, and he came up with nothing. for some reason, he could not help the the feeling of protectiveness over her. perhaps, gideon was wrong.

perhaps, gideon just doesn't know her.

and so, he allowed a small smile grace his lips as she maintained her sight on him, grinning so widely with pride as if knowing she was right.

before he could even answer, the boys dragged her away to play again. franz groaned at them stealing her time with the boss, yet a genuine smile appeared on her features as she tickled jack upon catching him.

this girl in front of him is not what gideon says.

but perhaps, like gideon, he doesn't know her as well.

Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase MBTI analysis: The Battle of the Labyrinth.

I think The Battle of the Labyrinth showed their cognitive functions really well. I am actually still doubtful about Annabeth being ENTJ or INTJ, but this book made me think of Se as her inferior function because of how much she questioned Percy for relying purely on it.

Se can work as more of an 'action' function, while Ni inclines more towards analyzing.

Strong Sensing users rely on their five senses, whether it's Si or Se doesn't matter because that description works for both of them. The main difference is that Si is about the past, whereas Se is about new experiences.

Se + Fi combo in Percy is obvious to me. He takes every action he can almost impulsively (or at least that's what it looks like to Annabeth), he trusts Rachel because he has witnessed how useful she was when he found her in The Titan's Curse. He knows she can see the monsters even better than him, so every little and big action and/or decision he takes is based pretty much on his friendship with Rachel; Introverted Feeling (Fi) took quite a bit part of his whole behavior, and the fact that he has Extroverted Sensing (Se) as dominant function just made him decisive, which for Annabeth was recklessness.

During the whole time Percy trusted Rachel "blindly", Annabeth couldn't help but analyze every single future event. Her Introverted iNtuition (Ni) was at its peak, and I can see this when they encountered a new path: Rachel said it was over there, Percy immediately started following her with no previous analysis other than the fact that Rachel helped him (therefore was his friend) and sensed everything much more clearly than him. But Annabeth was very suspicious of Rachel, not because of some jealousy, but because she perceived (N) everything around her and stated that it was a very dangerous path because of how it looked or that they went there before.

She has the ability to connect dots really fast. And in other scenarios where she explains Percy something, he can't catch the hint quickly, but to Annabeth is almost obvious because her thinking (Te - Extraverted Thinking) relies on her perception of things and what will happen in the future (Ni). But Percy has Ni as his inferior function, which I believe, in his case, means that it's not very well developed or he doesn't use it at all times like her.

Taking this last point into account, Annabeth's inferior function (if we follow the idea that she's INTJ) is Se. In The Battle of the Labyrinth she's suspicious of a lot of things and feels at ease when it's something she knows she's good at (e.g: when Hephaestus' spider was leading them and she was terrified, but felt immediately comforted when she had to do a physical thing she's good at — I read it in Spanish idk the translation and I'm too lazy to search it up but ikyk the moment, right?). Obviously, this could look like a strong Si, but because her Ni is showed from the beginning of her appearance (she knew Percy was a kid of the Big Three before he was even claimed). Inferior Se can look like a Si if the person is too ashamed of it, or if it's really bad developed, or if they rely excessively on their dominant and auxiliary functions. I think the latter is Annabeth's case.

I think this book made their strongest cognitive functions shine. Of course I'm not saying Annabeth is indecisive, she's actually a very analytical person who knows when to take risks. Whether she's ENTJ or INTJ doesn't matter a lot to me, but in this specific case I think Se was her inferior function (which applies to INTJ). I also don't mean that Percy isn't analytical, he analyzes things differently. He's not dumb at all, it's just that his way of thinking doesn't primarily rely on connecting dots like Annabeth. Percy is most likely to see the big picture whereas Annabeth looks at tiny details, and I think this is why they are a very good duo and their relationship is well developed even though they are different.

Think about it like a workplace: they are working for the same goal and are put together to achieve it (which is similar to what actually happens, they just happen to want the other to be there most times). Annabeth does take more of an analyzing role, but sometimes her analysis reaches a tight situation where they have to escape somehow, and most "crazy" solutions come from Percy — and he does use his thinking (Te) for that, but has the perception and decisiveness quite characteristic of Sensing users and the fact that he's Se dom just makes him look like a total impulsive person to Annabeth most times, yet she's able to see his reasoning but can feel doubtful of it at times because of how much she tries to predict things.

I think this could be a little confusing for people who don't know cognitive functions... I am willing to answer questions! I also would like to know other people's take on this, but please keep debate in a respectful level (don't find me typologytok).

Grips occur when a type is under an immense amount of stress. Their other functions give up mentally and "shut down", which allows their inferior function to take over. A type in the grip begins to act like the unhealthy version of their inferior function, very unlike and opposite of themselves. Grips can last for a short while or longer, depending on how long the stress persists.

Se inferior (INxJ)

Se inferior types may struggle to enjoy the present moment as their minds are often set on what they need to do next. They can miss obvious details and struggle with daily routine. They can also let opportunities slip by since they are often not spontaneous or risk takers - they prefer to see how a situation may go and follow through with it.

When in an Se grip, INxJ will come out of their shell but in a careless, messy way. As Se is focused on the physical sensations, a very stressed INxJ will try to cope with stress by overworking their Se. They may start to over indulge in physical sensations and pleasures such as food (especially unhealthy food) and drinking, sexually risky behavior, tv and/or on their phones (screen time in general), drugs, sleeping time away, etc any unusual thrill seeking and risky behavior is part of the Se grip.

Engaging with the auxiliary function helps to alleviate the stress and to gradually break out of the grip. For INTJs, they have to use their Te; need to create plans and goals to achieve things to boost their focus and confidence. For INFJs, they have to use their Fe; engage with others, work on and improve their relationships with others. Both types should focus on setting realistic goals and expectations for themselves when trying to get out of a grip. Doing too much and having high expectations will likely result in failure and disappointment, only pushing themselves further into their grip. They need to learn to use Se to relax and to support their Ni and aux rather than a distraction.

Backstory:

Born to two doctors, Chishiya comes from a rich family— but quickly learned the hard way that money doesn’t buy happiness. From a young age, Chishiya learned how to be independent due to his parents never being there for him. He learned how to cook, clean and look after himself. Pretty much the result of both his parents being pressured by society to start a family, Chishiya was the product of what his parents hoped would get people off their backs once and for all.

Neglected and forgotten about half the time, Chishiya grew bitter to the world around him believing that humanity is inheritently selfish and that love doesn’t exist.

Forced into med school by his father by the time he was eighteen, Chishiya accepted his fate and tried to see the positive of joining the profession thinking that perhaps if he could help people then he could find the meaning of life and prove to himself that humanity wasn’t all that bad after all.. unfortunately it only lead him further down the path of bitterness to the world around him.

Never returning home after graduating and with a degree now under his belt, Chishiya opted to completely cut off all contact with his parents and changed his phone number to start anew. Soon after, he sealed a position at Sakurazawa University Hospital, starting out as a medical intern. At first all was well and he could actually see a decent future for himself there. Things were looking up and he was finally helping people and healing a part of himself in the process.. that was until the letters started to roll in and he was forced to prioritise the treatment of richer patients, the less fortunate often dying due to much needed treatment and surgeries that got delayed. 9/10 times, they were kids that died..

Depression quickly set in and Chishiya fell into despair, completely growing numb to everything and the last of his hope for humanity, and to find his calling in life diminished. Death didn’t bother him anymore. Nothing did, and he learned to stop caring about anything and everyone including himself.

It’s why he treats Borderland as a playground and has little concern for his own life, using sarcasm as a shield to hide behind. His mindset is: Now he gets to choose who lives and who dies. Oh how the tables have turned.

hello!! i am back again with an assignment post!! mbti is a very popular psychological assessment, especially in south korea. however, there are a lot of misconceptions associated with it. in this post i will explain how to accurately use mbti and bridging it with idols and tarot, not only since i do not personally know the members, but also to give a more entertaining experience!

there are two types of functions, judging and perceiving, used for typing mbti, each of them have an extroverted and introverted form which creates the e, i, s, n, f, t, p, and j!! mbti is much less based on personality and more how you interpret and perceive information!!

in terms of analyzing the personality of each member through what we visually see, this is once again done through tarot which focuses on current energies and this post is much less on accuracy and more on learning the functions!

heeseung will be used for a basic understanding of each weight of the four functions (dominant, auxiliary, tertiary, and inferior) and how they affect his personality and each other!!.

when presented with a problem, heeseung's dominant, or first, way interpreting could be using his gut and intuition to understand what is in front of him. he also may tend to think about how the problem can affect him in the future and how every part of the issue is weighted in the grand scheme of things. this shows that heeseung's first function is introverted intuition (Ni).

this already narrows down his personality to infj or intj! since this function is introverted/internal, this causes heeseung's personality to be mostly introverted. this leads us to his second, or auxiliary, function. the auxiliary function is used to support the dominant function, it balances it out.

his second thought when approaching an issue could be to structure it in the larger scheme of things. he could make plans and figure out methods of approach before doing anything. once again, he focuses on the larger picture and how it can help him and his goals, heeseung looks for efficiency. heeseung's auxiliary function is extroverted thinking (Te).

the pairing Ni Te already tells us that heeseung is likely an intj. this pairing is especially helpful when faced with adversity. as his introverted intuition will think of predictions and the larger picture while keeping in mind the most efficient and practical way to achieve that end goal. however, there are two other functions that need to be discussed, tertiary and inferior!!

assuming heeseung as an intj, his tertiary function is introverted feeling (Fi). tertiary functions are developed with wisdom and age. it allows heeseung to see not only how something can affect him, but also the perspectives of other people and how they may feel. what heeseung may overlook is the present and stress over spontaneous actions, this is extroverted sensing (Se) as an inferior function.

when being presented an issue, jay on the other hand may use extroverted intuition (Ne) for his first way of perceiving it. while heeseung thinks about how he feels and gathers what he knows, jay would think about how everyone all together feels. he thinks outside of the box and brainstorms. while heeseung relies on what is already known, jay will think about what is to be found.

since his first function is extroverted, he will appear mostly as an extrovert!! people with this type can also be able to bring energy and inspiration. he could have a unique approach to life that most people find interesting or admirable. we can also narrow down his type to either entp or enfp.

jay's auxiliary function, or as mentioned before, his back up way for interpreting an issue is using introspection. he could focus on keeping on a leveled head and knowing his morals and what he knows and thinks are right and wrong. this is introverted feeling (Fi).

it can be deduced that jay is an enfp! jay and heeseung both use introverted feeling, however since it is higher in jay's placement, he prioritizes what is right and wrong instead of what is most efficient. this emphasizes jay's individualism and uniqueness. he knows his own identity and follows his own rules and morals.

as an enfp his tertiary function is extroverted thinking (Te). like heeseung, he may structure plans, but they could be a bit more risky. instead of planning based on what is already known, he creates his own methods for solution using his brainstorming! as for inferior functions, he may lack routines and maintenance. it has been mentioned that he is messy, which for his case is his form of introverted sensing (Si).

similar to jay, jake's dominant function may also be extroverted intuition (Ne)!! for him, a way he expresses it is more based on spontaneity. he also searches for ways to think out of the box instead of relying on what is already infront of him. another way extroverted intuition can be expressed is trying to experiment with the idea of new possibilities emerging.

additionally, as someone relying on extroverted intuition, he may prefer to think and learn about what he is handling before he puts anything into play. this narrows down jake as either an entp or an enfp. the difference between these two types is whether they prioritize feeling or thinking which are the judging functions.

of course, you can infer that thinking is more logical and objective and feeling is emotional and subjective. however, thinking may also be subjective, doing things like weighing pros and cons. feeling can also be objective to right and wrong and what is better in majority opinion.

jake may be more focused on one aspect instead of balancing in a bigger scheme. in comparison to jay's introverted feeling, jake may not be as global and may try to dive into what makes sense in his opinion and what makes sense to him, this is introverted thinking (Ti).

we can deduce the idea that jake is probably an entp! this leads his tertiary function to most likely be extroverted feeling (Fe). this causes jake to think about which theoretical possibilities are best to the majority of people and what is most culturally accepted. entp is also an example of introverted sensing (Si). aside from forgetfulness or disorganization, introverted sensing as an inferior function can also create high expectations of others and tunnel vision.

sunghoon on the contrary to jay and jake relies the most on what he already knows. his dominant function is introverted sensing (Si), what he wants the most is stability when faced with a problem. he may prefer to work the most on what is already known and may have a really good eye for details and consistency.

this presents two possiblities for sunghoon, he may either be an istj or an isfj! the difference between these two is similar to what i mentioned earlier in jake's portion! however since sunghoon's dominant function is introverted, making him appear introverted. his auxiliary function is extroverted, extroverted thinking and feeling is focused on making things happen.

sunghoon's auxiliary function is extroverted thinking (Te)!! as i mentioned in heeseung and jay's portion of the post, he looks to make plans that prioritize efficiency. he works with goals in mind and likes to have schedules, causing him to be brutally honest. when paired with his dominant function, his general approach can be to plan out ways to complete his goals in the most beneficial way while using methods that are already proven to be very successful.

sunghoon can be deducted as an istj!! this leads his tertiary function to be introverted feeling (Fi). introverted feeling as a tertiary function, especially with introverted sensing, may allow someone to work with even more conviction and take into account their morals on what types of traditions are right and wrong for a situation.

what he may find weakness in, as you can guess based on what i have mentioned, is straying from traditions and learning to think outside the box. he could lack in creativity and brainstorming, his inferior function is extroverted intuition (Ne). what i have not discussed yet about his function is an ability to see the meaning behind the actions of other people, which sunghoon may also be weak in.

sunoo when presented a problem by rely on extroverted feeling (Fe). whereas jake will have to grow and develop his functions in order to look for a solution that is most globally and culturally agreed upon, for sunoo this is his first thought when he has to interpret something!! sunoo is best at and leans towards reading unspoken rules of society and the essence of deeper connections.

knowing this, the two possibilities for sunoo's personality are enfj and esfj. to elaborate more on why the first function is what concludes an introvert to a extrovert, sunoo's dominant function is extroverted. therefore, he would naturally act extroverted since his way of learning and interpretation is inductive; based on his experiences and physically sensing.

as for his auxiliary function, he could also rely on introverted intuition (Ni). as an auxiliary function this helps sunoo think and understand how meaningful his actions are in the big picture. this helps sunoo with thinking about how the majority of people would think of his actions. these two functions, introverted intuition and extroverted feeling, make sunoo comprehensive and universal thinker.

the combination above identifies sunoo as an enfj!! as an enfj, his tertiary function would be extroverted sensing (Se). when supporting extroverted feeling, extroverted sensing allows him to process his observations more clearly and help ground him in the present moment. this allows him to be adaptable and resourceful. on a side note, i find that in all of my readings of sunoo, he is very resourceful!!

finally, his inferior function is introverted thinking (Ti). when making decisions, sunoo can often not focus on a main point or subject or hyperfocus on a subject, no in-betweens. since his dominant function is extroverted, he would be more focused on larger ideas and have issues with putting his thoughts into words.

jungwon may also dominantly use extroverted feeling (Fe)!! similar to sunoo, he is diplomatic. he focuses on putting his thoughts into actions instead of sizing it up or spending most time constructing a plan on how to handle it. most of his reactions to environments are emotional, so he works mostly for harmony and understands needs of people and how certain emotional variables affect a situation. in short, "how does this impact us all?"

jungwon's auxiliary function is introverted sensing (Si). he works in methods that are most commonly used and what he knows from experience. when he is in motion, he looks at steps as they occur. for example, when helping someone he may rely on solutions that would give the person not only a good impact and outcome, but also allow them to have a comfortable process.

putting these two together, jungwon may be identified as an esfj! in comparison to sunoo, jungwon is more drawn to the smaller details of a situation. even though both sunoo and jungwon gear their actions towards impacting the world around them, jungwon takes things step by step and aims for practicality.

his tertiary function would be extroverted intuition (Ne). part of the driving force to his aggressive approach to issues may be fuelled by curiousity. he may want to experiment and find ways to improve and change what is already established. this also helps him figure out which possibilities, by experimenting with variables and perspectives, are most universally and positively impactful!

therefore, his weakness could lie in introverted thinking (Ti), similar to sunoo. another way this shows is focusing on small details and working step by step, he could tend to over-analyze and trip himself up on things that are useless to him. this can also emerge as extreme perfectionism.

niki could be introverted sensing (Si) dominant!! as mentioned in sunghoon's portion, people who dominanting use introverted sensing may rely on what they already know. additionally with this dominant function, niki may also compare and contrast an issue to what he has already experienced and what he knows/thinks is true. he may be drawn to paying attention to details and relating the present to the past.

niki's auxiliary function could be extroverted feeling (Fe)! unlike sunghoon who relies on extroverted thinking, niki may think less on what is most efficient and looks at what would make the greater population happy. this helps niki with establishing good relationships and impressions on other people, as he would have a really good ability to read a room. he can also tend to adapt and mirror the emotions and energy around him.

what i have yet to mention is that while the dominant function is the most developed and tends to be the main drive and force of our character, the auxiliary function is how someone reaches out and interacts with other people. while niki thinks when making choices thinks about what he knows, he talks and handles people while thinking of what they want, he may be especially selfless.

seeing as niki can be identified as an isfj, we can now say his tertiary function is introverted thinking (Ti). in support of his dominant introverted sensing, niki may take his keen observations and think of ways to execute what he has in mind with rationalization. this also could give niki a really good ability for thinking with both logic and emotionality.

finally, as for his inferior function, extroverted intuition (Ne). niki may have weaknesses with over-speculation, or overall over-thinking. this can cause him to be restless and very suspicious of the world and people around him. he may also repress creativity and try to follow the rules as close as possible. when repressed, they can essentially explode, causing him to appear impulsive and careless.

why does mbti matter?

mbti is a way for us to see how we approach situations. we see our weaknesses and how we can improve on our thought processes.

why do majority of these not line up with the members' official mbti?

there are a couple reasons for this!! first, as i try to stress multiple times i found out their dominant and auxiliary functions with the use of tarot, i simply correlated the main concepts of the cards to each of the functions.

idols have a character/stereotype to maintain. truthfully, for marketing purposes it is most beneficial for them to act in ways that do not fully align with their thought process or become extremes of specific traits of their process. this post was also geared to introducing and educating the idea of jungian functions/stacking, rather than analyzing the every movements of the members.

what i did not delve into in this post were shadow functions as well. everyone actually utilizes all eight functions. everyone has layers and situations will arise that will cause someone to act 'uncharacteristically'. these shadow functions can make you defensive, self-doubtful, deceiving, and destructive.

the most common form of testing mbti is from testing oneself through websites or research. when dealing with matters including ourself, it may be difficult to objectively answer question based on your own actions and remove personal bias.

finally, it is important to note that mbti does not fully develop in a person until they reach around their mid-twenties. this causes healthy and unhealthy functions. for example, a healthy Ne dominant can use their thoughts and imagination to improve their life, while an unhealthy Ne dominant can be fully disconnected and discontent with reality.

does mbti change?

it is most commonly agreed that mbti does not change, people simply develop and gain healthy habits that help them learn to express each of their functions in the best/healthiest way.

Phew, what to say about this man. I will start with the obvious that the both of you prefer the company of cats rather than people; something you both can closely relate to. As someone who regularly tutors Ciel, he would be more than happy to help you in learning another language, especially in French. hi chai !! i’m a bit anxious to ask my question because i feel like no matter how i explain things, people can’t exactly hit the nail on what i mean or tend to be hostile. but, i do feel comforted by your blog and decided to send in an ask! i’m an infj-t (the rarest and one of the most complex personality type) so that plays a major factor when it come to manifesting.

as one, i’m an overthinker, one who is in my imagination/head a lot and tend to get anxious and stress quite easily. i’ve tried many things (deciding, a+p, vision boards, scripting, praying) and tend to be stagnant because of me doubting if i’m doing enough (which is associated with my mbti) or if i’m doing it correctly. this tends to leave me frustrated, leaving my mind numb, and overall overwhelmed. it’s genuinely tiring and breaks me down everytime because i desire to live a life of joy. do you have any suggestions on how i can overcome this hurdle of mine?

p.s. though it may sound like it, i do not believe i am giving power to my mbti. my intention in stating my personality type was for you to understand how i think and function as a person (giving that sense of intimacy, per se). it personally had helped me to understand how i function as a person.

from what im seeing in these videos it seems like infj's do tend to overthink and avoid doing things bc of procrastination but they also seem to be very firm in their beliefs which is actually really good for manifesting

if u tend to be in your head/imagination alot u can use that to ur advantage like i think you would like a+p with saturation bc its a constant and your brain literally always responds to repetition

but also visualization i have aphantasia so i personally dont use visualization and whenever i see the word imagine i kinda just translate it to think so if u meant seeing then visualization if u meant thinking a+p

also to not feel overwhelmed you could try manifesting things 1 by 1 and then having a list of the things u would like to manifest (i saw having things pre-planned helps alot of infjs) and maybe meditate before you do it

theres not just one right way to manifest its really wtv method you liked most you just have to tell yourself im doing it right ofc i am like discipline
