A/N: This was literally so much fun to write, I really like writing anakins banter with the reader, and overall just the stupid things he'd say in my own interpritation of his character off the battle feild. I hope you enjoy!! This is the 3rd installment for my kinktober list, Make sure if you like my work to check out my requests/comissions or my ko-fi!!!
“I feel dumb. Are you sure you’re not pulling one over on me?”
Anakin stares with inquisitive intent at the pumpkin you laid before him. Sat upon a steel counter of the kitchen within your room in the Jedi temple. Tossed on a small ottoman in the middle of your home was a bag full of ingredients for baking, holodramas of sith legends, and most importantly, the means for cutting up the pumpkins that sat before you and Anakin.
“Dude, I lived it and you didn't. Either you can trust me and stab the pumpkin, or you can forever live in a non-holiday spirit.”
“I just can't imagine that this actually got popular. What’s the meaning behind this?”
“Yaknow, this was initially made to scare away the sith ghosts that would roam the halls at night on the night before halloween.”
“That's total bull. I don't think this would scare a 5 year old.”
“You haven't even cut into it yet!”
Anakin holds up the traceable mold that came with the package of serrated knives and spoons, triangle eyes and comically sharp teeth.
“I don't have to to know that if a youngling saw this, they would start laughing at me.”
You snatch it away from him teasingly, a melodramatic face of anger contorting upon you,
“Well then, it seems like they have no holiday spirit either! Pay them no mind. There are those who get it, and those who don't!”
“Whatever. Just hand me the knife.”
“You don't even know what to do!”
Thus the first activity begins, detailing the two of you slowly cutting into pumpkins while a music box softly plays soundtracks of scary films from your childhood. Demonstrating to Anakin exactly how to cut into a pumpkin with less than graceful precision,
“You don't know what you’re doing.”
“Shut up! It's been a while.”
And as the top finally pops off of the head of the pumpkin, you and him rejoice in quite a small victory. Though the excitement upon his face only lasts a moment, because as he watches you delve elbow deep within the inside of the pumpkin, horror shocks him stiff.
“What the fuck are you doing.”
Eyes widened at the prospect of having to do that himself.
“What? Big scary Jedi doesn't like getting his hands dirty?”
Teasing inflection coats your voice at the sight of his distress.
“This is just disgusting! I don't mind getting dirty if it's not slimy shit all over my body.”
“Well, I suggest you take off that fancy robe.”
Exasperated sigh exits him with great dramatic flair, as he walks over to the living room to slowly disrobe as to take in his last seconds of cleanliness before his agreeance to engage in your home planet festivities weighs more and more on him like one of the worst decisions he’s ever made in his whole life.
Slowly does he inch his fingers inside the pumpkin itself, and when he reaches the bottom eyes close and eyebrows contort upwards.
“Stop looking like you’re about to die. It's a pumpkin not a dead tooka.”
“Thanks for that image.”
And so the two of you slowly scrape pumpkin into a larger bowl of insides between the both of you, melodramatic whines by Anakin that really bring out the kid in him. Anakin, despite being such a great warrior and chosen one, was still quite young. He never really had the ability to do childish things, growing up as a slave and thrusted into the jedi temple thereafter there was no room to be a kid-- do kid things. So that's what you focused on in your time with him. It consisted of helping him get in touch with who he really is, not who people exactly wanted him to be. And you bore through it, even if sometimes it meant feilding his complaints like a whining child who has to share their toys with other kids. When Anakin wasn't in the line of fire he was a simple, silly person. A boy, really.
The moment his pumpkin was satisfactorily scraped, he runs to wash his arms under water and copious amounts of soap.
“Oh, did you know people can be allergic to pumpkin?”
“You’re kidding right.”
“Yeah well I just hope you’re not.”
“Could've told me that before I just violated it like that.”
“Slipped my mind.”
After a bit more carving within the eyes and mouth of the hollow pumpkin, you adorn the iconic face of a halloween grin upon yours, and Anakin opting for a more sinister look upon his.
“You said it was supposed to scare people, none of the designs has that effect.”
Well Anakin, I think the most scary thing about this is how you cut it. I can barely tell what's going on here.”
“You don't understand my vision. It's for the sith ghost, not you.”
As the first activity of pumpkin cutting comes to an end, a small glow emitting within the pumpkins as you place the small glowing orb that completes every carving inside its center, you and Anakin stand back impressed with one another's work.
“I guess it wasn't half bad.”
“Told you”
The next project you two had up against you was baking. Now, once again you were well convinced that Anakin had never cooked his own food his entire life. At least, anything complex. Whenever he had to make his own food it was often very simple, laced with struggle. The peak of his culinary journey was 5 years old, for reference.
“Why do we need to put so many things in here? Aren't we making cookies?”
“Yes, but to make it not taste like sand then we’re gonna have to add more flavors.”
“Sand, very funny. What's with the paste?”
“The icing?”
“Whatever.”
“It's for after the cookie. We’re going to decorate it.”
“This seems like a lot of work for 2 bites.”
“You eat them in 2 bites?”
“I’ve got things to do.”
And thus the teaching begins once more. You have to explain how to keep the wet from the dry until you’re willing to mix everything, teaching him how to crack an egg as he fails in the process getting residue all over your countertop. You show him how to whisk, watching him struggle with the thick batter as the automatic one you keep in your cabinet stays sadistically untouched. And as you two finally finish the batter, you show him how to put them on the sheets properly.
“When you roll them, you have to remember they’re going to flatten and expand. Don't make them the size of a cookie, make them like a third of the size.”
“But if I made it the size of a cookie, I could have a 3x cookie. Mathematically speaking.”
“Yes, but don't do that. They’ll all stick together.”
“To make one monster cookie?”
“Theoretically yeah.”
“Noted.”
As he grabbed huge chunks of dough within the bowl you both shared, you just chose to pick your battles.
Setting the timer for 40 minutes, there were now 40 minutes to kill before you were able to get to the next part of the process-- decorating. Looking within your bag of festivities you find the holodramas that lie at the bottom of the bag, reminiscent of your childhood. The exaggerated stories of siths and creatures of the outer rim that would haunt and stalk you, stories that scared you awake when you were younger. You allow Anakin to pick from a few of the titles.
“Frankensith? The uh.. Friday before 429. The ewok in the woods. These all sound a little corny.”
“Again, you don’t get it. But I promise you watching these things will freak you out. The ewok  one scared me so much I couldn't sleep for days afterwards.”
“And how old were you when that happened?”
“...fifteen.”
“You’re joking. Put it on.”
Dimming the sights of your living room do the both of you sink into the couch as you pull out the final thing that will stave you from hunger until the cookies are completed.
“What's with the wrapping on these?”
He pointed at the chocolate you unveiled, wrapped in various depictions of horror legends over the years.
“Isn't it scary?”
“He looks like he has a lazy eye.”
“He’s supposed to be undead!”
“Yeah, and with all that reanimation they cut him a little short.”
“That's mean!”
“Nothing so far has scared me, and the candy definitely isn't much different.”
“Whatever.”
The bowl sat between the two of you held various kinds of candy from chocolate to sower, as the movie slowly came to a head. Laid back and judgemental, did Anakin lie unbothered upon the couch, expecting nothing to really catch his eye about this film more than dumb special effects and poor acting.
Though as time went on you watched as his body slowly straightened, eyes with greater focus on the projection as the story grew deeper. You saw his face contort from indifference, to morbid curiosity, to the well awaited fear.
BEEP!
The oven goes off, which makes Anakin jump.
“HAH! You’re scared shitless aren't you.”
“Are you kidding me? These things are freaky by nature. Their little swords.. Their agility. I couldn't live.”
“Uh huh. Well get up we need to decorate the cookies.”
After allowing them to cool for a moment you begin to teach him how to pipe the icing onto the cookies. However as you gaze upon his own tray, there seems to be about 3 discernable cookies to your 6 well shaped ones.
“All this means is that I have more room for artistic expression than you.”
“Right. Just watch what I do and you can make whatever you want.”
And as you draw cute ghosts, small faces decorating each of their eyes and little bats and pumpkins to match their theme, another glance at Anakin's tray once again reminds you you’re dealing with a 10 year old. Upon his cookies did he design quite crude depictions of the ewok’s with angry expressions on their face, forever immortalized- until eaten of course -a glare of small and furry anger upon the cookie.
“Nice Anakin.”
The night came to a close after that, finishing the ewok holo with greater ease as the fear inhabiting Anakin slowly dissipated in the ability to eat them at the same time they were eating others in their traps. A dark sky fell within your room and as you sat there with Anakin, pumpkins illuminated with silly faces and a growing pile of colorful foil piling on your coffee table as the candy bowl depleted, you felt complete. The feeling of having not only someone to celebrate the holidays with, but someone to share them with made you feel a little less alone. And you knew Anakin felt the same.

I Remember
WARNINGS: Canon typical violence, Unrequited Love
PAIRING: Anakin x Reader (Unrequited), Platonic Luke X Reader
SUMMARY: In the wake of Vader’s death, Luke has questions about his father only one person can answer.
WORD COUNT: 905
Tumblr media
It had been nearly two days since the Empire fell and the celebrations showed no signs of stopping, however, you had more than enough of the revelry. You chalked it up to age, after all, your twenties were far gone - lost to war and suffering - and drinks and dancing didn’t go down the same way. At least, that was what you told the others when you had stepped away for some quiet. You took up residence in a nice nook of branches up high in the trees with a perfect view of a nearby moon while your companion sat across from you, his legs hanging off the side and swinging slightly.
“Ask,” You said, breaking the silence, “Your thoughts betray you, so ask while I’m feeling nice.”
“What was he like?” Luke Skywalker asked, looking over at you, “My father? Before he became… that.”
You sighed heavily. It wasn’t an unexpected question, in fact, you had been wondering when he would seek you. You hadn’t exactly been quiet about your former occupation as a Jedi. As part of the rebellion, many had looked to you for guidance due to your experiences as a general during the Clone Wars, despite the way it had all ended. Still, it had been a long time since anyone dared ask you about the days of the Republic and even longer since you had spoken about it, though those days were never far from your mind.
“Anakin Skywalker was the best of us,” You told him, eyes fixed on your boots that were still caked in mud, “And the worst of us.”
~**~
When Anakin Skywalker came to live at the Jedi Temple for the first time, there wasn’t a single Youngling that didn’t look at him with disdain. Yourself included. It wasn’t fair that this boy, barely older than you, was able to just become a Padawan without working for it. You were incredibly jealous and had no issue knocking the Chosen One down many many pegs when he was sent to spar with the Younglings, but Anakin always got back up, no matter what dirty trick you threw at him.
And slowly but surely, you couldn’t help but admire him for that. Your sparring became evenly matched and once you were given your own Master years later, your matches were filled with easy banter.
You were fourteen when you realized the way you felt for Anakin Skywalker was different from how you felt about anyone else.
It had filled you with shame, the idea that your thoughts were far from appropriate or worthy of a Jedi and had worried that you’d be thrown from the Order if anyone found out. This all led to confusing Master Windu several times in the halls when you would dash away from him when he greeted you; you were sure he could read your mind, but to him, you were just one of the oddest padawans he had ever met. And yet, no matter how much space you tried to put between you and Anakin, every time you saw him, your heart would flutter.
When war broke out, you eventually found yourself on assignment together and even sweaty and covered in battlefield grime you swore you had never seen someone so beautiful. You could still feel the sting of his fingertips where he wiped blood off your cheek, with your eyes closed you could still see that grin and eyes glittering with adrenaline. It was nothing compared to the sting in your chest when you lay in your bunks and he had asked you if you thought it was wrong to love someone. You had hoped that he was speaking about you, but he had said that he had met her on Tatooine.
You had never been.
Still, your love for each other remained strong, even if it was different. He and his padawan had traveled halfway across the galaxy to be there when you were finally knighted, even though that meant they had to head back out right after. And no matter what kind of trouble he got himself wrapped up in, you and the 733rd Battalion were always there to rescue him.
And if you were honest, you never saw the end coming. When it came to Anakin, you wore rose-tinted glasses, defending him fiercely because you couldn’t find it in yourself to let go. You had seen all the signs and ignored them, denying them with every breath because you couldn’t bear to admit that he was becoming something you couldn’t recognize.
Even when you locked sabers when he and his troops stormed the Temple, you could not let go. Even with his face twisted and his aim to kill you, you refused to see what was right in front of you. You had barely escaped with your life that day, but you carried wounds that could never really heal - a synthetic kidney from where one of his troopers managed a lucky shot being the worst of it.
And even now, as you looked at his son, a boy who let your stories wash over him with a small smile, you could not let go. You had moved on long ago, found someone else to spend the end of your days with and you loved them deeply. But Anakin Skywalker would always be your first love, and though you had failed him, perhaps you could do right by his children.

Give him liberty or Give me death
A Starwars Story
Story follows Y/n, a nearly 15 year old girl who recently ran away from Jedi training to start a new life. But what happens when the Force catches up to her in the form of a recovering Sith Lord?
Disclaimer: I don't own the Starwars Franchise
ok now that's out of the way, the real disclaimers:
This is set in the far future, after a lot of the canon storyline.
If ANYTHING seem canonically incorrect please don't try to correct me, I'll eventually find out and feel shitty about it anyway. I wrote it how i felt it would fit the story best. again, bear with me
Please enjoy to the best of your ability, Thanks!
Chapter One: Tatooine
Sand engulfed Y/n’s feet as she pushed through the storm. Tatooine was a nasty planet covered in dust, sand, and an abundance of the strangest people Y/n had ever seen.
Tatooine had history though. Bad history. To be completely honest, Y/n never cared too much for the past. She knew very little of the Skywalker dynasty and frankly didn’t feel the need to know any more. She was done with the god-awful Jedi Historical training, opting to take a hike rather than stay five more years and watch Palo take the spot she worked tirelessly for with little effort.
He always was the golden boy. Picking up information faster than everyone else, outperforming everyone else, looking better than everyone else, having a higher midichlorian count than everyone else. The only thing he couldn’t beat her in was sparring. The only part she’d ever enjoyed of the training. Lightsabers.
She was also pretty damn good at piloting but Palo wasn’t interested in that so she would never get to see who was better.
What a degenerate pansy.
Her banter with Palo didn’t matter anymore. She had quit, and that was final. No more training, no more pressure, no more pain and suffering.
The force couldn’t get to her if she didn’t believe in it. Well, she hoped. God forbid the dark side reach out a slimy finger to graze her. The last thing she had ever wanted was for that side of the force to engulf her. Maybe that's why she left.
Maybe.
The force had a habit of clawing its way into the souls of even the strongest Jedi.
Fear leads to hate, hate leads to anger, anger leads to suffering.
The words were practically seared into her mind. From day one of training she was told these words nearly every day. If she showed any sign of doubt, she would be dragged into the darkness.
In the end, that didn’t stop her from a convective fear of the unknown.
It was no doubt that she had spent the better part of her almost fifteen years in the galaxy fearful. She had always been afraid of making the wrong choice, the one that would drag her past the point of no return.
Yeah. That’s why she left. No, fled. As if the Jedi Order would willingly let a newly deemed Padawan walk away. Not with that kind of force training.
To the order, Y/n was a bomb just waiting for the Sith to spark near her fuse.
Her mind raced with these thoughts as she pushed forward. Sandstorms were dangerous, she had been told. Yet, there she was in the middle of one, retrieving a cloak of all things, for a young girl down the road from her poorstone bungalow. The poor thing had gone the past month or so without protection from the sandy wind. Didn’t help that the youngling walked every morning to work herself sick washing dishes for The Dockside Cafe. And of course, the Jedi training instilled in Y/n made it practically impossible to resist hunting down this little girl’s cloak.
God, sometimes she hated being selfless.
The day I stop being this stupid is the day the Sith gets me, apparently. She scorned herself.
Upon her arrival in the market the storm died down from deadly to mildly dangerous, or at least it seemed that way. The cluster of buildings most likely blocked a portion of debris and wind from getting into the square. She let out a breath she didn’t know she had been holding. The assortment of shops provided some protection, but she would still need to find where the cloak had even been left before it decided to get worse.
Ah yes, Tatooine was a beautiful place. It had always been her dream to be killed by a planet’s dandruff.
There was a task at hand. She couldn’t spend any more time complaining about the weather.
To be completely honest, she had no clue where to start. The young girl had said she couldn’t have left the robe at the diner, considering she was there every day and hadn’t seen it since the day she lost it.
Of course, children had a habit of not looking very thoroughly for lost items, but the children of Tatooine weren’t normal children. They had near to nothing. Losing something as miniscule as a garment of clothing was a shot at death to them. Especially with the planet’s harsh conditions.
Even knowing this, Y/n made the choice to start at Dockside.
The Dockside Cafe was a small corner bar in Mos Eisley known for the galaxy’s smallest menu of drinks and the driest food known to creature-kind. The true owner of the cafe had died off who-knows-how-long ago and was currently run by a technological artifact that went by the name of CG-X2R. Or better known as CG by the townsfolk. The droid had a knack for complaining about everything and listening to no one, unless of course, you were there to complain, too.
Just the type Y/n didn’t care to talk to, but could tolerate long enough to get information.
As she strolled into the dimly lit space, a few heads turned. Usual customers that didn’t care too much about her presence, seeing as almost immediately upon realizing it was some teenage girl they didn’t know they went back to their business. Seeing as the cafe was wedged into the ground, it was probably one of the coolest places on the planet. That being said, it could always use better airflow.
Y/n had grown quite fond of this cafe over the last month. It was relaxing.
She reached for a stool and sat herself in the middle of the bar table. Then she proceeded to whistle at CG and motion for the droid to come over.
“You again?” He sighed. She gave a slight smile and rolled her shoulders back in a stretch.
“It is. But this time I’m here on business. You haven’t happened to have seen a child’s cloak in the last month?”
He whirred in thought. His old gears creaked as he tried to recall the last month.
“Would this cloak happen to be young Alexava’s cloak she claimed she lost?”
Y/n groaned and threw her head on the table.
“Yes” She mumbled through her arms. The old droid let out a grating snicker.
He whipped around to fetch a glass of luke-warm water for the girl. She brought her head up and thanked him with a nod. She placed a peggat on the counter, which he gratefully accepted with a whir of mechanics.
“I know what you’re going to say,” She sighed. “And my answer is no. I can’t resist helping a dumb kid who misplaced their only drapes.” The droid seemed to quiver in humor.
Once again, that undesired urge to help people snuck its way into her mind. Her intentions were obvious, and that's what scared her. She knew one day, the Force would catch up with her, and show her a “better” way to help people. A way that gave her power beyond belief. The way of the dark side.
“Well, I hadn’t seen it for quite some time.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Hadn’t?”
Past tense. He was being difficult.
He clicked at her immediate recognition of his riddle.
“Ah, but I guess it was good material. Because I did see it today in the hands of one of those hunters who hang around here. Just before Mos Eisley opened,” The droid spoke. “An ugly creature, he was. No manners whatsoever. As if he was raised by a bantha.” He shook his head in disappointment. Y/n stopped him before he could go on.
“Why would he take a child’s cloak?”
“Hell if I know. He’s a bounty hunter. I would guess he wanted to sell it. They like money, a little too much. Tends to get them into a lot of trouble, as well as cause good salesmen like me a lot of trouble. Because of their mischief, I have to deal with a perturbed ten year-old-” she cut him off.
“I’m fifteen.”
“No you’re not.”
“Nearly fifteen- where did he go?” She insisted
The droid whirred once again in something she could only assume to be the equivalent of a smirk.
“Where do you think? Where all those rats go to get paid.” Her stomach sank in her gut.
The Cantina.
She internally groaned for the millionth time that day.
“Alright, what’s his name?”
Another damn bar.
That little girl always has to be involved with a place that flourished off of alcohol. Her conscience hissed.
At least Dockside was friendly. Sort of.
The Mos Eisley Cantina was a whole different alley. Not a good one either. She’d heard plenty of stories about bounty hunter central, and the amount of fights that occurred there by the hour. It was home to hut-hirings and dangerous travelers looking to make a quick buck. Of course, the presence of the Huts was the telltale of the bar. You always had to watch your back or end up as a body on the floor. The bar was downright sinister. No one in their right mind was going to walk into that bar and demand to know who took some little girls' cloak and that they wanted it back.
So of course, that’s what Y/n’s plan was.
In the end, she had no plan. She was just making stuff up and rolling with whatever happened.
Sensing the Force was like this. All the best Jedi did it. And all the best Jedi found themselves dead, eventually.
Good thing she wasn’t a Jedi, and good thing the Force didn’t exist. So instead she was just stupid.
Instead of just strolling into the bar, like at the cafe, she played more towards a dramatic entrance. If she was going to die in a bar, at least she was going to make it look interesting.
Y/n stood in the doorway upon her first step in. This time, nearly everyone turned to look at her. Eyes widened at the sight of a young girl. She straightened her posture in an attempt to look less annoyed than what she really was. She waited a minute, hoping the eyes would turn away.
They didn’t.
She blew off her discomfort and strode her way to the front counter, seating herself once again, right in the middle. She waved down the bartender once again, and felt the second wave of nausea hit.
What was she doing?
She figured her only option from here was to get down to the point. Somehow what had seemed like a harmless mission to find a girl’s cloak had turned into one of the most dangerous things she’d ever experienced in her life.
“What do you want?” The man hissed. Y/n cringed. He smelled terrible. His reaction to her expression wasn’t good and he reached over to grab her collar. She quickly dodged and slapped his hand away from her, pinning it to the wooden countertop. She rose in her seat, hooking her feet on the run of the stool to stand taller than him.
She grinned. “I’m looking for someone by the name of Igo Runn.”
The room seemed to stop breathing as all eyes turned to her. And suddenly, now that she had control of the room, the nausea dripped away. She often thrived on attention like a drug.
The bartender quickly pulled himself away from her in disgust. She gave him a toothy smile as she brushed off her hands and sat back down. Intimidation was a game to her, it was the only way to make Palo crumble ninety percent of the time. And she loved to see Palo fail.
Suddenly a voice spoke from the back corner of the bar.
“Little girl you must be the dumbest doll to come into this place demanding things.” He snarked. She pulled herself out of her chair and walked towards the man to get a better look at him. He was heavy set, with dark hair and pale skin. His face, barely visible in the dimly lit bar, was morphed into an ugly shape. He looked like he had been around the two suns for a while.
CG did say he was ugly.
“You’re Igo Runn?” He let out the loudest laugh she had ever heard. His shaking body caused the table he sat at to aggressively rock.
“No, Doll. That’s Igo Runn.” he chuckled, gesturing across the room to a sleeping form draped across a booth table. All eyes turned towards the body. She shook her head lightly. From somewhere a bottle was thrown at the poor guy, hitting him square in the back. Instantly, the man woke up, blaster in hand, frantically looking around for who threw the poor bottle. Laughter echoed through the tavern.
It only took a moment for our eyes to meet.
He was young. Very young. Probably a  teenager.
“That right there is Runn. I don’t know what you want with that little rodent but you better be quick, Doll. He likes to run.” The fat man chucked.
“Don’t call me Doll.”
He frowned.
“I’ll call you whatever I want, Doll.”
She thought for a minute. Grabbing a bottle off a nearby table. She made a quick glance at Igo Runn, motioning for him to sit.
That's why she swung.
The glass connected perfectly to the large man’s head with a satisfying crack. He was knocked out of his chair by the sheer force of the blow. And as all bar fights started, chaos broke free.
Fists flew rapidly through the air as Y/n peered through the crowd just in time to catch a glimpse of Runn, bolting out of the bar. She hoped tables after him. He barely got a block before she had tackled him to the sandy ground.
Wind still whipped around them in the storm. It was almost as if it had gotten worse. She needed to wrap this up and get back to her bungalow. She swung herself off him.
“Where is the cloak you stole?” She yelled over the storm, her voice bare admissible. He seemed annoyed at her question.
“Why do you care?” He screamed back. His voice was light.
She couldn’t see him too well, but she tried her best to make out his features in the sand. He had tan skin and curly brown hair. He was tall and lanky with barely any meat on his bones. In fact she could feel every one of his ribs as her shin rested against his torso to keep him down. She kind of felt sorry for the guy.
“I care because there's a little girl who works hard every day, who doesn’t make any money, and who is in pain because you took one of the only things that can protect her from this planet.” She hissed at him. Y/n scoured around him until she eventually found his satchel, which to her relief, held the cloak.
He seemed to frown. “Last I checked, no one came and got this cloak. It was just sitting there when I saw it.”
“So you just took it?” Igo shrugged.
“What the hell would you need a little girl's cloak for?” She asked. He managed to shove her off him. He brushed himself off, which seemed awfully dramatic considering the dust storm going on around them.
“Why don’t you tell that little girl she’s not the only one hurting for money?” Y/n grabbed his collar and slammed him against the side of Mos Eisley. He was an arrogant boy with no better personality other than greed. He only cared about what helped him live day by day.
Y/n’s inner thoughts hissed at her to kick the crap out of him to teach him a lesson. But her fear of the Force took over almost instantly. Violence wasn’t a good answer. It was too risky.
Reluctantly, she sighed and let him go. Igo’s face morphed into one of shock. She began to walk in the direction of home. She was officially tired of everything.
“So you’re just letting me go?” He inquired, hopping after her. Without even turning around to acknowledge him she replied.
“Yep.”
He frowned. “Okay?”
“I’ll see you around I guess.” He said. She sighed.
“No you won’t, get the hell off of Tatooine. Don’t come back. I’m just tired, that doesn’t mean we’re friends.” She hissed at him. She felt his footsteps cease from behind her. He’d stopped following her.
Good riddance.
The trek back to Alexava Russa’s home took longer than Y/n was expecting, but sandstorms were still dangerous and a pain to deal with. Once she arrived, the girl had squealed in delight, thanking her for finding the thing that took at least five years off of Y/n’s life.
She didn’t tell the youngling what she went through to get it though. Neither Alexava nor her mother needed to hear about that. Y/n felt better just telling them some bystander had accidentally picked it up and left it at Lup’s.
Mrs. Russa offered for her to wait out the storm in their home but she politely declined. She had told the Russas that she had a busy day tomorrow and needed to get home. In reality, nightfall was coming soon and she didn’t want the family to deal with her bad dreams.
Dreams that often woke her in a cold sweat, screaming. Dreams that only recently appeared.
Another reason she gave up Jedi training.
Once home, to her tiny, rented bungalow. She threw off her garments and fell into her bed. She was getting close to being done with leaving that bed. Nothing bad ever happened when she stayed in the house. She wasn’t dragged into things that were none of her business. As usual she spent the next hour procrastinating sleep, wondering if there was any way to get rid of the internalized jedi-justice she was suffering from.
It took a while, but sleep finally won. Or at least the nightmares did.

Tumblr media
Tala briefly glanced over her shoulder, carefully looking to make sure nobody had spotted the man and young girl come in, before jamming the button for the door shut, letting out a small breath of relief as she did so.
She turned around to see Ben and Leia looking from side to side curiously, and she couldn’t help the small and sad smile that made its way onto her face.
The two reminded her of all the others that had passed through before them, the ones that were exactly the same as the older man. Hesitant, and refusing to let hope shine through. Hope that he could actually have a chance.
She observed the way he kept a close eye on the young girl, as if she were his own, but Tala knew better. She knew that though the man clearly cared deeply for her, he was no father of hers.
But the look in his eyes also told her that he had experience being almost like a father before. And under different circumstances Tala would have asked him about it out of pure curiosity, but they were in pressing times and the longer they waited, the more endangered the two would become.
Shaking the thoughts, she snapped herself out of her daze as she strode forward and over to where the hidden lever was to lead them into the equally as hidden room.
Right before going in she hesitated, remembering a small detail as she turned back to the eagerly awaiting duo.
“There is one more thing, though.” She saw the way Ben’s features became guarded once more and the way his hand subconsciously reached for Leia's shoulder, before quickly continuing, “There’s another Jedi on the other side of this door.”
Ben stiffened and dropped his hand as the young girl's eyes just became wide with a mixture of excitement and amazement, “You mean there’s another one?” Her voice held such awe that Tala almost chuckled.
She hummed in return, “Yes, and if you don’t mind, she will be joining you to the ship and then going her separate way afterwards.”
When Ben didn’t respond, Leia rolled her eyes slightly and elbowed him in the stomach, crossing her arms and began talking for him, “That’s totally fine! I’ve always wanted to meet a girl Jedi anyway!”
This caused Tala to smile slightly before pushing the door open, revealing a small yet useful looking room.
The lady stepped in first, followed by the young girl, and then Obi-Wan, and the first thing his eyes landed on was you.
You had grown up since the last time he had seen you. You had become taller, and more mature looking. Your hair was slightly longer with a different cut, and your eyes held a wiseness that had never been there before.
“Y/n.” He breathed out in shock, coming to a halt in his tracks as his eyes widened in disbelief and mouth parted slightly.
You, looking equally as startled, started right back, “Obi-Wan.” Your voice shook a bit as you looked at the man you once knew as if he were a total stranger.
When you were young, you and your brother had been taken from your home planet on Tatooine in hopes of a better life with the Jedi.
It was very rare for there to be younglings with bonds before the Jedi, let alone an older brother and a little sister. Anakin and Y/n Skywalker.
The two of you were known for years throughout the galaxy as the most unstoppable Jedi duo to ever live, that was when you were allowed to actually work together. Wherever the two of you went, chaos ensued, but you always did get the job done. Eventually.
With Anakin being older than you, he was able to become a padawan learner far before you, but you soon enough joined- at a young age nonetheless- and became Obi-Wan Kenobi’s second student.
You and your brother were seen as lab rats to the Jedi council, the two siblings with a connection, one that they had always considered dangerous. But if the two of you were able to handle it, then just maybe they would explore the idea more of force-sensitive siblings.
But it did not go well. And you two were not able to handle it. The future ended up proving that.
When Order 66 happened, you had been sent on your first mission away from your master, with a small group of five trained clones and you six had been tasked to map out a new planet.
You had barely managed to escape with your life when they turned on you, and when you tried to contact the Jedi temple, you had heard the news of it happening everywhere to everybody.
Your mind had automatically gone to the worst place when your master and brother didn’t answer any of your comms, and you knew that they were gone.
Though you had been raised your entire life hearing that Jedi weren’t supposed to form attachments, in that moment you didn’t care. You had broken down and grieved.
From that moment on, a darkness slowly crept through your being, swallowing you whole in the most painful way possible, taking its sweet time and allowing you to suffer for as long as possible.
The next ten years of your life were spent on the run, jumping from planet to planet, never staying in the same place for any longer than three rotations in fear of getting caught.
You didn’t know what else you could have done. The only thing that you felt that you had known how to do all those years ago was run. And that’s what you did. You ran and ran and ran and ran. Never once slowing long enough to come to a full stop.
You felt all the words escape your mouth as your throat went dry at the sight of your old master.
Instead, without even thinking, you sprinted forward as fast as you could and leapt into his arms, refusing to let the small sob escape from between your lips.
“You’re alive.” You heard him whisper in utter shock. “I thought after everything-“ He broke off, choking on his own tears.
He didn’t need to finish his sentence for you to know what he was saying as you nodded against his shoulder, sniffing slightly, “Me too.” You whispered.
Tala and Leia had been kind enough to give the two of you a moment alone, instead moving wordlessly across the room and sitting down to observe some random scrolls laying around.
You finally pulled away, studying him as he did the same to you, “How did you-“ You both said in sync, cutting off with small chuckles.
“We have a lot to talk about.” You finally said, to which he nodded his head in agreement.
“But not right now,” He said, glancing over at Leia, “Right now we need to get out of here.”
As he watched you turn curiously to the young girl, he couldn’t help it when his breath caught in the back of his throat.
While Leia slightly resembled her mother, her other features complemented those of her father. And those of yours.
You now looked so similar to how Anakin had before Order 66, that Obi-Wan couldn’t help but let tears once again fill his eyes.
The guilt that he had spent years trying to push down began bubbling back up in his stomach again as he looked over at you.
He had killed your brother and you didn’t even know.
You on the other hand, for the first time in ten years finally felt that darkness that had been eating away inside of you slowly melt away. As if the curtains had been opened and light began to stream in.
You were finally back with someone you thought was long dead, someone you knew cared about you just as much as you cared about him.
For the first time in a long time you were beginning to feel okay again. Now you knew there would be no more running.

“Don’t look at me like that.” You kept your gaze on the skyline before you as you spoke. You’d sensed him entering your quarters a few minutes ago but had chosen to keep quiet. Despite your words, you felt his gaze continue to pierce through you as he quietly stood a few feet away.
“How am I looking at you?” Anakin mused crossing his arms over his chest. A small smirk played on his lips as he watched your hands slowly squeeze the railing you were leaning on. Anakin Skywalker has been a constant in your life for as long as you can remember.
He’d quickly become one of your closest friends in the temple and you’d found yourself spending almost all your free time with him. At first, your relationship had been completely innocent, but over time that had changed.
As you’d grown older your once platonic feelings had slowly begun to twist and mould themselves into something more romantic. While Anakin had happily taken this in his stride, you had been slightly more anxious about the idea.
You’d been taught your whole life that a Jedi must not hold attachments and still, you found yourself yearning for the touch of a man who by all means should be off limits. You heard Anakin release a small sigh before coming up behind you.
His arms wrapped around your middle as he rested his chin on top of your head. “You're nervous, I can feel it.” He squeezed your waist gently before pulling back slightly to turn you in his arms.
A smile grew on his lips as he raised a hand to your face, gently rubbing his thumb across your cheek. “I missed you.” He spoke quietly leaning down to brush his lips against yours. “You saw me an hour ago.” You responded feeling your breath hitch.
The pit of anxiety he’d sensed continued to swirl. What if someone walked in? What would happen if someone caught you in his arms?
He shook his head. “That doesn’t count.” He gently caught your lips with his own, using the hand still on your waist to pull you closer.
You knew this was wrong. Having feelings for Anakin was one thing, but acting on them was another thing entirely. At first, you’d resisted, pushing him away gently but you’d quickly learnt he was persistent.
It hadn’t been long till you’d found yourself giving in to him. You’d spent countless nights wrapped in his arms, living in the fantasy of waking up beside him every morning without the guilt and worry you constantly felt.
After a moment you pulled back, a small smile pulling on your lips. Any worry you’d had was slowly beginning to melt away the longer you stood in his arms. “Are you staying?” You kept your voice quiet, the idea of being caught still lingering in the back of your mind.
Anakin nodded wrapping a hand around your wrist. “Of course my love.” He gently pulled you back inside and towards your room. He’d found the last few nights whenever he slept in his own room, his dreams were plagued with nightmares and things which made his blood run cold.
Sleeping beside you didn’t take those nightmares away but having you safe in his arms soothed the fear that coursed through him.
A small sigh of contentment left your lips as you fell against the bed. You turned your head feeling the bed dip beside you, Anakin moved to face you propping himself up on his elbow. His eyes slowly traced your face as he reached out to pull you close.
In the morning you both knew you would go back to being nothing more than friends and no one would know the truth of your relationship. Though for the moment nothing else mattered but the two of you. Nothing else mattered besides the fact that you had each other, and that was something that would never change.

Attachment of a Child [part 1]
Pairings: Obi-Wan Kenobi x child!reader (includes Kit Fisto)
Imagine: one of the children in the Jedi temple seems to have formed an attachment to Obi-Wan and follows him around all over the temple whenever he’s there
Warnings: fluff, Obi-Wan hugs, Obi-Wan taking care of a child (that needs a warning for real), Obi accidentally adopted you, otherwise none, I think, it’s just fluff, Not proofread
A/N I couldn’t stop myself from writing this, it just came to me randomly and I had to write it, I don’t even know if it’s good or not I just had to write it bc just imagine Obi-Wan being followed by a child who copies his movements, that’s so adorable 🥰 <3
If you have any ideas for Obi-Wan x padawan!reader (platonic obviously) please feel free to send them to me, I love writing Obi-Wan x padawan
Tumblr media
The first time Obi-Wan had stepped into the room filled with younglings after “defeating” Darth Maul, he wasn’t too surprised when he saw all of the children’s eyes light up. Big eyes stared at him with amazement and wonder, as well as curiosity and excitement.
The now Jedi master had gained some kind of fame with the younglings ever since he became a master and defeated a Sith Lord. Not to say that the children didn’t love him before (they sure did), but now they all seemed to look up to him as some sort of war hero. Look at him for wisdom more so than the other masters, Yoda being the exception.
One youngling in particular had taken a shine to the newly made master. You. Obi-Wan had nothing against you, he quite liked taking care of you from time to time, it was a distraction from all the chaos in the galaxy at the moment. He found it rather calming and he would never say no to teaching anyone something new, especially younglings who had the curiosity that could go on for forever. You were no different from those younglings except you didn’t ask your questions (too shy to do it) but rather listened intently to any information Obi-Wan would tell the class. It was one of the reasons why you loved classes with Master Kenobi. He was calm and could talk for hours and had most of the answers to all of your classmates questions (therefore your questions were answered as well, for the most part).
Nights were often spent with the younglings as he told them one of his many stories from another planet. He lulled them to sleep with his calm voice as he talked about facts he picked up from his reading about the planet, or missions he had with Anakin or his former master. Obi-Wan hadn’t stopped you when you crawled up onto his lap, nor did he stop any other of the younglings as they cuddled into the warmth he radiated to their sleepy forms.
More than one time you had been the child to sit on his lap, for some reason the Master nearly always picked you up and placed you on his lap, or he just let you plant yourself on his lap without a single complaint. He knew he made your anxieties calm down as he let you cuddle into his side. If he could help the younglings in any way, he would to the best of his abilities. He was once one himself after all and knew how the life of a youngling could be. The anxiety that could be brought to any of them at any moment if they failed, the strict rules or the doubt they felt, the rumors of danger. Especially with what everyone knew was an upcoming war and the betrayal of Dooku and the death of Darth Maul. Along with those rumors and facts they were supposed to study and become a future Jedi while not forming attachments and nor were they allowed to act on their emotions, especially the fear and anger that they felt. So yes, Obi-Wan would gladly let you sit on his lap if it helped you calm down while he told you and the other children a story before they were supposed to sleep.
It’s safe to say that it wasn’t uncommon for any one in the temple to see any of the younglings run up to Obi-Wan for help, especially if something troubled them. Nor was it uncommon to see you walking beside the master. Which was what happened today.
Obi-Wan had just walked past the room in which you and your classmates had just finished up your first lesson of the day. Some of the younglings had already rushed out of the room before Master Yoda could even finish his sentence, you were one among them. You had felt Obi-Wan’s force signature and you saw him through the slightly opened door walk past the room and you had sprinted out of the room not willing to lose him in the many halls of the temple. Luckily for you the temple was relatively empty at this time in the morning so it didn’t take you too long to find the brown cloak and his auburn hair among those walking the corridors.
The Jedi Master heard small feet sprint towards him but he made no indication of turning around towards the person or to wait for the child to catch up, he already knew it was you, how could he not, he was way too familiar with your force signature. He knew where you were at any time of the day, your force signature rather strong for a child.
If he had turned around he would have seen that you had mimicked his actions. You put your hand behind your back like he had done, you tried to walk in his pace as well as in the same way he walked. This proved quite hard even if the master had slowed down a tad bit for you as he felt you walking beside him, but the long strides were still too fast for a child to catch up entirely to. Any Jedi master that walked past the two of you thought they saw a mini kenobi as you mimicked his every action, even when he rubbed against his beard (even though you didn’t have beard yourself you still did it)
“Hello Master Kenobi” In watching Obi-Wan and trying to mimic him you had completely forgotten to look at where you were going and so you didn’t notice when Obi-Wan stopped in front of Kit Fisto.
“Hello Master Fisto” Kenobi answered politely, giving a smile back towards Master Fisto who gave his signature charming smile. By the time Obi-Wan said that you had looked up and the Nautolan turned towards you as he noticed you standing next to the jedi master you were still mimicking. He studied you for a second, a puzzled look grazed his future before his smile was back.
“And hello to you too youngling, I see you’ve taken a shine to Master Kenobi” A blush spread itself over your cheeks as you got called out by the Jedi in front of you.
The words stumbled out of you as you quietly said “Hello Master Fisto”.
After the words left you, you hid away behind Kenobi's robes not wanting anyone to see your embarrassed state. To this Obi-Wan, like a natural instinct, put his left arm to shield you. Kit Fisto’s reaction to this was what every jedi had told you and Obi-Wan a lot of times before.
“Be careful with the young one Obi-Wan, they might become a bit too attached to you otherwise”
The master like everyone else knew you were already attached towards the master that you hid behind. He could have stopped it all, right there and then, so could Obi-Wan and the rest of the order, but somehow they allowed it, they let it slide by them, if they didn’t see anything then it wasn’t their problem, and if they saw they opted to ignore it. You were like a bright shining cyber crystal in the temple as you cutely followed the auburn haired master around. And it seemed like everyone needed something bright at the moment, with the darker times that were approaching. No, Kit Fisto wouldn’t be the one to stop your attachment towards the newest member of the council, but what he could do was give a warning. He did not want an innocent child or Obi-Wan to fall, not that either of you would, but he could still give the occasional reminders, like Master Windu seemed to give away way too many times.
You were attached, and nothing would stop that. Obi-Wan noticed when he looked down at you, that you were still mimicking his movements. He gave you a fond smile as he studied your stance. You stood in the same posture as him and frankly you looked like a mini him, not that he complained about it, Obi-Wan found it quite amusing how you seemed to want to act like him any chance you got. Not only was it amusing to him but he found it adorable. But so was the thought of every other person in the Jedi temple who had seen you walk after the Jedi master any chance you got since you got old enough to walk.

Hi! Could I have an Anakin x female!reader where they're both Jedi and a chaotic parenting team for Ahsoka?
I pictured a few scenarios like when they first meet reader defends Ahsoka because Ani calls her "youngling" and talks to her as if she was a child; or Anakin is relaxing and reader distracts him for Ahsoka to pounce on him and play fight him; or reader rescues Ahsoka because she did something reckless and life risking during a mission and she's angry at the Padawan, then before scolding her Ani tries to calm reader down and comforts her when she desperately says that she has to tell Ahsoka off because if she loses her, her world would be turned upside down, then instead of yelling at her, reader makes Ahsoka understand in a calm way that what she did was wrong and tells her how much she adores her
Sorry if it's too long and also if it's more Ahsoka x reader but I hope you get to write it ❤

-—————————⋆。‧˚ʚɞ˚‧。⋆—————————-
Anakin had very recently been granted the responsibility of having his very own padawan.
She was a 14 year old Togruta, Ahsoka Tano.
Anakin was beyond thrilled to have an apprentice. You were excited to see his fill his leadership role, especially with a teenager.
As you expected, Anakin and Ahsoka got along perfectly. She reminded you a lot of him. Maybe that's why you had grown so close to her.
You were always on missions with Anakin, so in result, you were constantly around Ahsoka. You immediately formed a big-sister-type relationship with her. You guys were always together. She would often come to your quarters and you would teach and show her all the things a normal teenage girl should be able to do.
You felt bad for her. She was pushed into a setting of war fat too young, so you always tried to make her feel as normal as possible.
You were walking through the labyrinth like halls towards Anakin's quarters, with Ahsoka and your faithful droid R2-D2. Ahsoka was walking a little ahead of you, seemingly lost in her own thoughts.
Suddenly, Ahsoka turned around and looked at you, with a bit of worry on her face. "Master, you can tell me if you think I'm not ready for the mission. I know it's a pretty intense one. I don't want to mess up." She said.
You smiled at her, and placed your hand on her shoulder gently.
"Ahsoka, you still have much to learn, but don't underestimate your power. Anakin and I wouldn't allow you to accompany us if we didn't think you were ready." You assured her as you finally reached Anakin's door.
Ahsoka nodded, seeming to feel a little better from your words.
"Okay. But is it alright if I ask you a question first?"
Her voice had changed to a curious tone, as she looked at you.
"Do you think Anakin really likes me?" She asked you, with her head tilted to the left, like she always did when she was curious. "Or does he only tolerate me because he has to?"
You started to speak but before you could open your mouth Anakin steps out of his quarters.
"Are we ready to head to the briefing?" Anakin asks.
You give Ahsoka a look and nod your head hoping she's picking up what you are trying to say.
You then turn to Anakin. "We've been waiting on you gramps."
Anakin rolls his eyes "See how mean she is, Snips?"
You laugh in response as you all head to the briefing.
Anakin smiled and shook his head at both you and Ahsoka. He really cared for her, and saw how the two of you interacted with each other.
He also walked with you both to the briefing room, where all of the other Jedi were waiting to receive new orders from the Jedi Council.
"I know you'll do great on this mission, Ahsoka. I have full faith in you. Be careful, okay?" Anakin said, walking ahead of you a little, so he could be alone with Ahsoka for just a moment.
You smile at their interaction. You live the side that Ashoka brings out in Anakin.
You all make your way into the room and find your seats as you wait for further details on your mission.
You all sat down, and waited as Master Windu came into the room and took his seat, in order to start discussing the mission with you all.
"The Separatists have been creating secret factories to construct weaponry that will give them a major edge in the war."
Windu looked at you all.
"Do you remember the last factory that we destroyed on Felucia?" He asked.
"We have just found out that the Separatists have just completed building a new one on the planet of Kyseli." Windu continued.
He nodded and looked at Anakin, Ahsoka, and you. A plan was about to be revealed to you all.
"The council would like you three and the 501st battalion to head down to Kyseli, and destroy this factory before it begins production."
Windu looked over at Anakin, and back at you.
"This won't be an easy mission. But, we are confident you three are able to handle it." He then turned to Ahsoka, looking her in the eyes. "You're ready for this mission, Ahsoka."
After the meeting wrapped up you exited the room. Anakin gathered you, Rex, R2, and Ahsoka to discuss how he wanted to execute this mission.
Anakin talked to you all about how he imagined the mission going.
"Okay. So, we'll start by heading over to Dreshia, the nearest planet to Kyseli. Once we make it to Dreshia, we'll split our troops into two sections. The first section will be led by me and Rex. We will distract the Separatist forces by attacking them head-on. It should give the second section a chance to enter the planet."
"Ahsoka, you will lead the second section." Anakin said.
"Wait, Master Skywalker, shouldn't Master
Y/N be leading the second section?" Ahsoka worriedly glance between you and Anakin.
"No, Snips. We need you to lead the mission this time. You'll do great, trust me." Anakin said, with a smirk on his face, hoping to reassure her.
"You're ready, believe me." He continued.
You could see the worry on Ahsoka's face, and Anakin looked like he wanted to hug her and tell her it would be okay, but he had to keep up this leader like personality for this mission.
The truth is, you and Anakin had discussed this prior to the briefing. He was insisting on Ahsoka leading the second section, but you, not so much. It's not that you don't think she's capable, because she is, it's just you can't stand the thought of her getting hurt. Or worse.
After a 30 minute screaming match between you and Anakin, it was deemed that he was the lead of this mission, and Ahsoka was his padawan. So now you would just stick with Ahsoka and try to protect her the best you can.
As Ahsoka was looking at you with a worried expression, you knew that she was thinking about how she didn't believe she could lead the second section.
You also felt worried about how Anakin would react to you going back on his decision about Ahsoka leading; it would probably cause another argument between you two, and you wanted to stay on Anakin's good side, since you were working with him for this mission.
You had no choice but to look at Ahsoka and shake your head as you said "I'll be right at your side. Everything is going to be okay. I promise."
You, Ahsoka, Anakin, Rex, and R2 were all waiting outside of their starship to get ready for the mission that the Jedi Council had sent you on. Everyone seemed slightly anxious or worried about the mission, but you could feel this overwhelming sense of determination and courage in the air as well.
You could tell that Anakin, Ahsoka, and Rex were all slightly nervous about the mission, even though they all knew what they were doing. No matter how good you were at something, you would always get these feelings of worry and anxiety whenever you headed out on a mission of this caliber.
"Once we land on Dreshia, We will immediately split into our sections and head to Kyseli. That's where Rex and I will lead our troops to distract the separatists who are likely to attack as soon as we break the atmosphere. Ahsoka that's when you will lead Y/N and the rest of the troops to the factory to destroy it. As soon as that is done, we regroup back on Dreshia." Anakin recaps.
Ahsoka nodded.
"I understand, Master." she said quietly.
Anakin smiled at her confidently, knowing that deep down, Ahsoka wasn't really believing in herself on this mission. Anakin then looked over to you.
"Alright, are you and the troops ready, Y/N?" Anakin asked, wanting to get the mission started.
"You don't need to call me 'Master' when we're out here." Anakin said, with a slight smirk on his face. "But if that's what you want, then go ahead."
Anakin then looked at everyone else.
"Alright, everyone ready? Let's go."
You all board your assigned ships and take off for Dreshia.
Once you land at the republic base, it's go time, everyone is running around finding their section, you stay close to Ahsoka.
Before you knew it you were in the air again heading for Kyseli
Just as you expected, as soon as you entered the atmosphere, we were bombarded by enemy fire. Just as planned Anakin's Section distracted them As Ahsoka led you, and the rest of section two, straight towards the factory.
Your section had successfully made it to the factory, and the Separatist forces were now turning their attention towards the other side of the planet; where Anakin and Rex's section were distracting them.
Anakin's plan was working perfectly; everything was going exactly as he expected, and Ahsoka was leading the troops inside of the factory building.
"Alright, Ahsoka. You've got this, the Separatists aren't focused on us right now." Anakin said, over the radio. "I knew this plan would work."
"Alright! Everyone place their explosives!" Ashoka ordered.
You immediately placed your explosives down and prepped them for detonation. You watched as all the other troopers did the same. Once complete we all headed out of the factory to detonate.
Ahsoka held the device that would detonate the explosives.
"On three." Ahsoka stated.
"One... Two... Three."
Nothing
"What's going on? Why isn't it exploding?" You ask with a confused look.
"I don't know. I'm going to check it out." Ahsoka started running back toward the building.
"Ahsoka stop!- "
You were cut off by the explosion. Ahsoka flew back and landed on the ground. You immediately ran up to her checking her for any serious injuries. The only thing you noticed is that she was knocked unconscious. You were internally panicking but you knew you had to keep calm because you were now in charge. You lifted Ahsoka in your arms.
"All troops to the ship! We are regrouping to Dreshia!" You yelled.
Everyone boarded the ship and you all headed for Dreshia where you would regroup with Anakin and his fleet.
You carried Ahsoka through the ship and back out onto Dreshia, where you could see Rex and Anakin waiting for you.
"What happened out there?" Anakin asked.
You could tell he was upset when he saw Ahsoka unconscious in your arms, and he was looking at you in a serious way, expecting an answer.
"She ran back towards the rigged building after a malfunction with the detonator. It exploded while she was headed towards it. I tried to stop her." You shook your head.
"She doesn't seem to have major injuries. She was just knocked unconscious from hitting the ground I suppose."
Anakin stayed quiet and nodded in understanding.
You saw he was clearly upset over the situation, and this worried you, even though you didn't want to show your emotions to Anakin.
"Let's get back to the camp on Dreshia." Anakin said in a stern voice. The three of you got in a speeder to head back towards the base, while Ahsoka stayed unconscious in your arms as the speeder drove on.
One you made it, you took Ahsoka to a medic droid that was on the site.
Ahsoka was taken to the medic droid, and Anakin and you waited in the tent for the droid to finish treating her.
After what felt like hours, but was probably only around two minutes, the medic droid emerged from the tent, carrying Ahsoka who still looked unconscious.
"She'll be fine. She'll wake up soon." The medic droid said, as Anakin and you relaxed, and waited for Ahsoka to wake up.
After about 30 minutes Ahsoka started rustling and her eyes fluttered open.
Ahsoka slowly opened her eyes, blinking for a moment as she realized her surroundings, and then she looked at you.
"Hey...what happened?" she asked, sounding a little confused.
She had a look of pain on her face, and was still slightly dizzy when she spoke to you.
"When you went to investigate why the detonator wasn't working, it decided to work." You could feel the anger creeping up on you now that you knew Ahsoka was okay.
Why would she do some so stupid and reckless? Why would she put her life in danger like that?
Anakin seemed to sense your frustration.
"Y/N, let's step out. I need to speak with you."
You followed Anakin out of the medical tent.
Once you and Anakin were outside the medical tent, on Dreshia, Anakin began to speak to you about what happened with Ahsoka.
"Listen, Y/N, I understand why you're upset about what Ahsoka did." Anakin said, "She put herself in danger, and that's something you and I disagree on. But you have to understand that Ahsoka is just young, and maybe a little inexperienced."
"I know you don't like the thought of it - neither do I. But Ahsoka will have to learn things on her own, and make her own choices." Anakin continued.
You sighed. You knew Anakin was right. Yelling at her wouldn't solve anything.
"You're right. Let's go talk to her." You gave Anakin a kiss on the cheek and headed back into the tent.
Anakin smiled, feeling happy that you heard him out instead of getting angry with him.
The duo then walked back into the medical tent, and saw that Ahsoka was now fully awake and sitting up. When Ahsoka saw you and Anakin, she smiled and got up.
Ahsoka then walked over to Anakin and hugged him. She seemed to have a lot of love for him; you didn't blame her.
"I'm alright, Master." Ahsoka said to Anakin. "I'm sorry for trying to run in there like that. It was a mistake on my part."
She went over and hugged you as well.
You giggled. "Slow down there tiger. You need to lay down."
"But you are right. It was a mistake. A stupid, reckless mistake. You have to think before you do okay. If I were to lose you... I can't bear the thought. The truth is Snips, Anakin and I care about you so much. Do you understand?"
Ahsoka looked a little surprised at your reaction, since she thought you would be angry at her.
She then nodded to you, and it seemed like she understood why Anakin and you were so concerned about her.
"I know, I'm sorry. I-I just got so caught up in the moment, that I forgot about the mission." Ahsoka said.
"Just...please don't do anything this stupid or reckless again. Okay, Ahsoka?" Anakin said with a soft smile.
"She gets it from you Ani." You laugh.
Anakin's face turns a light pink when he heard what you said, as he looked down and away from you.
Once Anakin started speaking again, he seemed slightly embarrassed.
"I guess you're right, Y/N." He said, laughing a bit. "Come on, let's get back to the ship. Everyone's ready to head back."

Things Aren’t Always What They Seem and Sometimes They Are
Tumblr media
Pairing: Anakin Skywalker x padawan!reader
Summary: You’re Anakin’s padawan and after your master has a close call you develop nightmares of his death. Every time you close your eyes you see it, so you decided staying awake is the best way to keep your mind at ease and keep your master safe.
Warnings: Angst, fluff, platonic relationship, crying, nightmares, reader uses she/her pronouns, small mention of blood, reader has at least shoulder length hair, description of throwing up, description of death, light description of head being cut off, detailing insomnia, I made my own cw battle, I think that’s it let me know if I missed anything
A/N: I just needed this. Either Anakin can be used, but both Anakin’s are the same to me. Also readers nickname is stub btw due to her stubborn nature(gimme Ik). In this storyline Ahsoka is Kenobi’s padawan, but Anakin still uses Snips for Ahsoka since they’re still always around each other due to Ahsoka being readers best friend and Kenobi also always being around. This is also longer than I planned, sorry.
Tumblr media
No.
No, no, no, no, NO!
This is not happening. This is not happening! It’s impossible, he’s survived far worse than this, right? A building exploding with him still inside it was a piece of cake when it came to my master. So why isn’t he answering his comm, and why can’t I feel him?! His force signature is gone!
He’s dead.
That’s why I can’t feel him. Everything around me was basically nonexistent to me, all I could focus on was the rubble in front of me that had my master trapped. He couldn’t be dead, he just couldn’t be, and I refuse to believe that he is. I wanted to go search for him, to help get him out of there because he needs me, but I couldn’t move and all I could hear was my heart beating loudly in my ears. Until a louder noise snapped me out of it.
“COMMANDER!!!” Rex yelled as he grasped me by my shoulders and was roughly shaking me, which snapped me out of my shock. “Commander the tank lifters are here to remove the debris.”
“Hurry, Rex.” After Rex leaves to go give the orders I turn back to the rubble as I tried to dig deeper into the force to try and sense my master’s force signature. I came up empty handed until I felt a pull towards the other side of the destroyed building. I followed it until I heard a voice. Dooku. I know that slimy voice from anywhere. I hurriedly hid behind a large rock, that I could tell used to be a wall, as I listened to Dooku’s conversation.
Tumblr media
“And you’ve found nothing?” Dooku voiced to a battle droid.
“Nothing. We’ve looked everywhere.”
“Hmm” Dooku wasn’t so sure, Skywalker wasn’t easily terminated, how ironic it would be for him to be taken out by a simple explosion. He closed his eyes to focus on any life signature, but the only ones he found were weak and they were all similar in some way, confirming they were just feeble clones. And he was about to call this a success until he felt a stronger force signature, and it wasn’t under the rubble, definitely a Jedi. Dooku opened his eyes and looked to his right, looking straight at the stone you were hiding behind, but before he could act his holoprojector went off. “Yes master?”
“Return to your castle, I have more important matters for you to tend to.” A blue tented hooded figure spoke.“Now.” The hooded figure quickly added sensing the hesitation his apprentice gave off.
“Yes, master.” The holoprojector cut off and Dooku called for all the battle droids to fall back, and they left taking their victory. And their victory? The termination of Anakin Skywalker.
Tumblr media
I quickly ducked behind the destroyed wall before Dooku could see me, even though I was certain he could feel me. But to my luck he was called away, I waited for the last separatist ship to fly away and that’s when I left my hiding spot. I started looking around the same area Dooku was to try to find any sign of my master, but there was none. A sickly feeling washed over me, I was close to letting the breakfast I had this morning back up, but was able to keep it down. Though I couldn’t stop my eyes from welling up with tears.
“Master?” I whispered fearfully, my voice not able to speak any louder without cracking.
“Master.” I said a little louder, as the tears started rolling over at this point.
“MASTER! WHERE ARE YOU??!!!” I finally screamed, the tears are now unstoppable and so were the sobs. The cries broke free. I was sobbing uncontrollably, and soon found that my legs were not able to hold my weight anymore as I dropped to my knees. The pain from the rubble that was made up of stone and metal went unnoticed. Bracing my hands against the ground to keep myself up and grounded as much as I could. I started pleading to the force to give Anakin a few more strings of luck, so he could make it out of this alive. So caught up in my own pain, I didn’t even hear the stones moving to my far left, let alone the foot steps.
Tumblr media
After Anakin no longer felt Dooku’s presence and when he was sure he wasn’t coming back he used the force to move the destroyed stones that were surrounding him and some of his troops away from them. And they started climbing their way out from the rubble. After he made it out and helped some of his men out as well he looked around making sure there was no danger as he was catching his breath. When he looked to his right, he spotted his padawan. His padawan who‘s supposed to be on the other side of the explosion sight. What is she doing here?! Dooku and his droids could’ve seen her and he wouldn’t of been able to get out from under the rubble in time. It’s like she does the complete opposite of what he says, to stress him out on purpose. He sighed and started his walk over to his padawan, and when he did he seen and heard the predicament she was in. She was crying? Why is she crying? He wondered if she was injured. She was clutching her hands to her chest, which made him worry even more. He hurried to her side, and as he dropped down next to her, he grasped her shoulders, turning her towards him to look her over.
“What is it? Where are you hurt?” Anakin’s heart was racing at this point as he panicked. All he knew is he needed to help her, but his padawan on the other hand had a different reaction upon seeing him. Regardless of his efforts to get her up she wasn’t moving, and she heard nothing he was saying. All she could do was stare. Her master was alive? How? His force signature was gone and that only means one thing. Death. So how was it her master was kneeling in front of her trying to make sure she was okay? For the second time that day she had to be shook harshly to snap her out of her shock. But it still did no good to help her understand what was going on.
“(Y/n)! What’s wrong?” Silence.
“(Y/n), talk to me!”
“Master?” Was all that she could whisper out.
“Where are you hurt? I can’t help if you don’t tell me.
“You’re alive.”
“Wha-? Yeah? Why wouldn’t I be?”
“The building- I mean you were still inside. Your signature was gone.” Having to explain what she thought happened only brought the tears back, unable to stomach the loss of her master, someone who’s like a father to her, and the closest she would get to having one. The thought of losing him was unbearable, and not to mention against the Jedi code. Attachment was forbidden, and she knew her attachment to Anakin was way more than it should be. She threw herself into him, much to Anakin’s shock. Her face buried in his neck, with her arms wrapped around it as well, as she let the rest of her tears out.
Anakin’s heart broke at the sound of her sobs, they sounded so broken. The original plan was to plant the bombs and get out of there which you were able to do successfully and get to the extraction point unscathed, but the separatists knew about their plan and next thing he knew hundreds of battle droids blocked them in. He was able to keep the ceiling from crushing him and his men around him, and was able to cloak his signature from Dooku. And that meant from everyone else as well, so he could see how that might have scared you. Wrapping his arms around his padawan, he made sure to keep a firm comforting grip, letting her know that he was here and not going anywhere. She cried harder at his promise, she could feel it, he was telling the truth.

𝟺 𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚜 𝙻𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚛:
It’s been 4 months since the incident, 4 months since I believed my master was dead, 4 months since I’ve had a good nights rest. Ever since the Battle of Aravion I haven’t been able to sleep. Every time I close my eyes my darkest fears come to life. So I do my best to stay awake as long as I can. Some would say that’s unhealthy or dangerous with me fighting in a war and all, but I’m doing fine . . . .mostly.
“Hellooo, Coruscant to Stubs.” I hear my master say as he comes into my line of sight, snapping his fingers in front of my face which I turns snaps me out of my daydream. “You with me?”
“Sorry, Master. What were you saying?” Shaking my head to clear and focus my thoughts.
“I said if you don’t focus you’re going to get stunned, and I’m sure you don’t want that to happen, right?”
“No, master. I’m sorry, master.”
“Sorry?” Anakin mumbled to himself, you never say sorry to anyone even when you are, unless it’s in front of the council or something, you show your apologies more so with actions, not words. And there’s usually a snappy comeback by now. What’s going on with you?
“It’s fine, what’s on your mind?”
“Nothing.” I’ve might’ve said that a little too quickly. Oops.
“Stub, I know you. What’s wrong?” Anakin knows how to get me to crack. It’s just something about his soft voice that makes me feel like he could fix whatever’s going on with me. No matter how big or small. But not this time, my problems will go away on their own. I just hadn’t got the incident through my system is all. After all, part of becoming a Jedi is being able to let go of your personal feelings, and that’s not something that you can’t rely on people for, it’s a matter of you.
“There’s nothing wrong, I was just wondering when our next mission would be. We never stay here at the temple for very long. I guess I’m just a little anxious.”
“Yeah, I was like that too at the beginning of the war, but I just learned to relax whenever I’m given a peaceful moment. It keeps your head clear and it helps keep you balance.”
“I will try.” I took a deep breath as I turned away from my master and walked back to the where the 501 boys were waiting. I got into my starting position, lighting my lightsabers. I had to focus, that was the only way to get Anakin to believe me, so I had to last my usual time or he would know something was definitely up. I gave Rex a nod, letting him know that I was ready. He gave the signal, and for the next three minutes it was going well. Until I was hit in the back, then everything went dark.
Tumblr media
BOOM!!!
I groan as I sit myself up. I must’ve been stunned about 5 or 6 times, my body isn’t usually this stiff after waking up due to growing a tolerance. But wait a minute. Stun shots don’t sound like explosions. I quickly stood up to scan my surroundings only to see I was in the middle of a battle field. I must’ve been hit with a blaster shot, but I didn’t feel any pain besides the stiffness. How did we get onto a battle field, we were just in a training room a few minutes ago.
BOOM!!!
I turned towards the front and could see nothing but fog. I lit my saber and started deflecting the blast that were coming my way. Maybe they couldn’t wait on me to wake up. What was the mission again? Wait. My master would never leave me behind, regardless of the mission, unless it was safer somehow. So where is he? I looked around again and heard a groan this time. I turned to my right to see a trooper. I quickly ran to help in any way I could.
“Trooper! Are you ok?!”
“I’m fine as I can be commander.” He groans.
“What battle is this? What was the mission?”
He coughs harshly. So harsh blood comes up. “The plan was to blow the factory. Groan. I suspect the others have made it there already.” He cuts himself off due to coughing more.
“Help will be here soon trooper stay awake.” I tried comforting him as I squeezed his hand. Trying to keep my emotions at bay.
“They knew we were coming. Gasp. We didn’t stand a chance. But you insisted we go on with the plan. General Skywalker agreed, trusting your judgment. Gasp. Half of us were wiped out. You walked us to our death.” All of a sudden the comms in his helmet we’re getting louder. I heard the screams of the troopers in pain. The yells of orders being thrown out by Rex. The explosion that seemed closer than it should’ve been in the comm, like it was right next to that poor trooper that was unlucky enough to get hit. I back down towards the trooper I was comforting only to see he was deadly still. And I knew he was. His eyes were staring straight up towards the sky. Like he embraced the call of death on his life. I heard the sobs and even looked around to see where they were coming from, but they were coming from me. I did this, all this was my fault. This was my mission, the troops were following my orders, I lead them to their deaths knowing it was a trap to begin with. I hurriedly stood up and started running forward. I moves as fast as I could until I could see the building and could hear the explosions more clear. I ran until I got to the front of the lines using my saber to block incoming blasts, and thankfully as always Rex was there.
“Rex!”
“Commander, you’re alright!”
“Yes. Where’s General Skywalker?!” I had to yell for him to be able to hear me over the sounds of battle.
“He went to set the bombs, he should be back by now.”
“I’ll go help!” But I was stopped, a hand gripping my arm.
“The bombs are about to detonate any second!”
“Anakin is still in there!”
“I’m sorry sir, but I can’t let you go in!” After that statement the building collapsed in a fiery blaze. We were far enough away to feel nothing but the strong wind the explosion put off.
“Rex, hurry and get the tank lifters here. I’m going to find Anakin.” And I took off regardless of Rex’s yells. I made it to the blast sight, but upon arrival Dooku and his mindless droids were there. I hid behind a large rock when I was struck with a hard case of deja vu. This has happened before, maybe the first time was just a vision. The force letting me know everything was going to be ok. I peaked around the corner seeing Dooku talking through a holoprojector to a cloaked figure. After their conversation ended, Dooku ordered all the droids to load up and evacuate. After he left I ran to where I was last time waiting for my master to unmask his signature. When he did I hurried to that area and helped with moving the debris that was around them. After getting him and the troops out safely I walked to my master to check and see if he was ok.
“Master, how are you feeling?” I was a lot calmer then last time, a little too calm. But he’s fine maybe for once things will actually go our way.
“I feel fine, but where were you stubs. We could’ve used your help.” He was out of breath, but still managed to be sarcastic. He was fine. I let out a light laugh.
“Come on master, let’s get you back to the transports so we can get you checked for any brain damage. Well, more than usual.” I smirk and turned to walk off, but felt he wasn’t following, so I turned only to see him standing really stiff.
“Master, what’s wrong?” I was so close to him. My hands were on his shoulders just in case he might fall. Suddenly, a red light pierced through my masters chest and would’ve passed through the top of my head if I hadn’t of moved just in time. Only to realize it wasn’t just a light, it was a lightsaber!
“NO!!!”
As my master dropped to the ground Dooku was standing right there over him. The color of his lightsaber reflecting on his wrinkled face. I paid him no attention though, I ran to my master hoping by some miracle he was still breathing. I lifted him up and moved myself behind him, so he could lean on me, hoping it would give him some kind of comfort. But maybe it was just to comfort myself.
“Master! Master, get up! Get up!” I was trying to pull him up, help him stand, so we could get out of here, but the only response my master gave was falling to the side, hitting the ground. “No! Master, get up. No, no, no, no. Let’s go. Please, let’s go.” Rows of heavy tears rolled down my closed eyes as I was sitting on my knees praying that this wouldn’t be true. I grabbed my masters ungloved hand, still warm though it has only been a couple minutes since it happened. It felt like hours. Dooku didn’t even have the courage to give my master a fighting chance. What coward stabs someone in the back, and calls it a honorable victory. Falling forward, I hugged my masters dead body as I sobbed so loud the stars could hear me across galaxies. My voice coming out in squeaks as I try to tell him how sorry I am, how sorry I was of failing him, how I didn’t see Dooku coming, hoping he would believe me, or at least hear me in the afterlife.
“Feeble child.” Hearing his voice only made me angry. I gripped my sabers and ignited them, quickly turning around striking Dooku down where he stood. And of course he was able to keep himself up, all he did was drop to his knees. But what I planned next no one could walk away from. I slowly stood, and walked towards him tauntingly, I wanted him to know what was coming. Before he could even attempt at grabbing his saber, I made sure to cut through his useless hands. I then lifted my sabers, crossing them at his neck as I looked him in the eyes, pulling my sabers apart. The body dropped and I watched as the severed ball rolled in the opposite direction. I looked down and seen a red lightsaber, but it wasn’t Dooku’s. I looked over to my other saber seeing that they were identical. The red I was seeing was coming from my lightsabers, but I couldn’t find it in myself to care. And unbeknownst to me, my eyes reflected the damage I’ve done as well. A piercing yellow with red rimings, the eyes of a sith.
Tumblr media
I gasped as I quickly sat up, looking around. I was able to slow my heart enough and calm my raging brain to notice I was in my room. How’d I get here? Was everything that just happened a dream? There’s was only one way to find out, find Anakin. Fearfully, I got up and walked out of my room, cautiously but quickly searching for my master, too riled and unfocused to use the force. I walked straight across the hallway to his quarters and knocked. It went unanswered, taking it upon myself to open the door, only to find he wasn’t there. Everything left untouched his messy bed from yesterday still in the same state it was, saying he’ll fix it later. I took off to the training room, still nothing. Then to the cafeteria. Nothing. At this point I was starting to worry. I didn’t want the grand masters to see me like this knowing they would sense my fear and unease, but this was Anakin, I’ll risk it. I went to the council room, also empty. This sickly feeling washed over me, and I ran to the closest bathroom. Passing Obi-Wan and Anakin padawan in the process.
“Stub?”
“I thought you said she was resting?” Obi-Wan crossed his arms at his former padawan’s ability to keep up with his own padawan.
“She was. Why is she up this late?” He mumbled, his confused frown deepening as well. Even if she was up, why was she running through the halls? Either her and Ahsoka were sneaking around in the pantries again or something was wrong. Without so much as a warning to Obi-Wan, Anakin took off to follow his padawan. He caught up to her only to see her burst into the women’s restroom.
“She had to use the bathroom.” Obi-Wan stated the obvious.
“Why not just use the one in her room? I think somethings wrong master. She’s been acting strange lately.”
“Anakin, your padawan is your responsibility. You should know why she’s been acting differently.” He scolds.
“I know that, Master. But-”
“But what?”
“She usually comes to me when she’s ready, so I don’t push it.”
“Anything could be going on with her Anakin, whether she wants to or not it’s your job to find out what’s causing her trouble.”
“That’ll just push her further away. I know Stubs, if I push to hard it’ll just delay the progress of her telling me. I know because I’m the same way.”
“You’ve never been that way with me.”
“That’s because I knew you years before I even became your padawan. Stubs and I are only a year in.”
“And you both are already so much alike that you would think the two of you share the same brain.” Anakin rolled his eyes at his masters comment and walked up to the women’s bathroom door, but when he did he could sense waves of fear going through you. He almost walked into the room, turning towards Obi-Wan seeing if he would stop him. It’s not like anyone else was in there, they only felt her.
“I’ll keep watch to make sure nobody else goes in. Go.” Anakin nods, closing his eyes as he walked into the bathroom just in case you were actually using it.
“Stub?” He calls out softly, his voice echoing throughout the walls. His only reply though was the sound of soft gagging. “Stubs?!” He called again this time his eyes are open as he ran and found the stall you were in. It wasn’t even locked. He found you on your knees, head above the toilet dry heaving into it, while also trying to catch your breath. He went to get some paper towels from the dispenser, wet them, then came back to keep your hair out of your face. Once he was sure you were done, he knelt down in front of you and turned you towards him, brushing your hair behind your ears to keep it out the way and started cleaning your face. He was worried, yes, but he knew you didn’t needed him playing 20 questions right now.
“Can you stand?” He spoked as softly as he could.
The whole time you didn’t know who was helping you, you barely noticed someone was there helping you at all. But when your eyes focused as you looked up, a small gasp came from you.
“Master.” A sense of deja vu washed over him.
“Are you able to get up?” He started to panic because tears started rolling over your cheeks. He was about to ask what was wrong but your body slamming into his stopped him, again. Confused? Way more than he was before. Worried? Even more so. Anakin maneuvered you so he was able to pick you up, and carry you out of the bathroom, simultaneously throwing away the paper towels. The door opened and he came face to face with Obi-Wan. Who only gave him a ‘take my advice’ kind of look. Receiving a tired sigh from Anakin.
“I know. I’ll see you tomorrow Master. Good night.” To which Kenobi responded back with a good night of his own.
He made his way back to your room as he constantly looked down at you to check and make sure you were ok. Your eyes were barley open, you looked exhausted, as your head laid in his chest. You should be, he wondered how long it was going to take you to break after not sleeping for months. He was hoping his heartbeat would’ve put you to sleep by now. He knew you thought you were keeping it a well kept secret. That’s the whole reason you both haven’t been on a mission yet, he asked the council to give the both of you a few days off, refusing to let you put yourself in anymore unnecessary danger. He was surprised the council agreed, chalking it up to Obi-Wan putting in a word for him. He could’ve just banned you from coming on missions until you told him what was wrong, but that would’ve just made you retreat and hide your restlessness better. This was the best choice. Making it to your room, the door slid open, and he gently laid you down on your bed. He was about to let you rest and get to the bottom of this in the morning, but your hand quickly grabbed his, keeping him from leaving.
“Don’t go.” You whimpered, breaking his heart of what felt like the thousandth time that night. He complied and released a heavy sigh.
“You have to tell me what’s going on with you Stubs. I’ve given you enough time to figure this all out and tell me what’s going on, but this has gone to far.” He kept his voice low to let her know he wasn’t upset with her just worried. You sat up regardless of him trying to lay you back down but true to your nickname, you’re just stubborn. He stayed where he was kneeling in front of you, letting you have the height of the conversation, physically and metaphorically.
Tumblr media
I couldn’t look him in the eye knowing that I would start crying again.
“I just had a bad dream, that’s all.” Trying to play it off as nothing.
“Yeah. One among the many for the past few months, right?” That caused me to lift my head involuntarily. How did he know?
“How-“
“Look Stubs, I understand what it’s like to have constant nightmares, ok? I just don’t understand why you won’t tell me about them.” He chuckled, an unamused one with a confused frown on his face.
Looking back down towards my bare feet, trying to keep the tears at bay. But failing at that too, a breathless sob breaks out.
“I just- I just don’t understand why they keep coming back! I mean I’m starting to think-” I cut myself off not wanting to speak into existence. Instead, I shoved my face into my hands. I’m not sure I can keep going with these nightmares, they keep getting worse.
“You’re starting to the think they’re visions.” To which I nodded to. “Are they the same dream or is it a different one every time?”
“It’s a different one ever time, but they always have the same outcome. You said you’ve had nightmares before. How did you stop them?
“Tell you what, if I tell you about my dreams, will you feel comfortable enough to tell me about yours?” Anakin didn’t like sharing his past with anybody, but for the sake of getting his padawan to trust him completely, he would do anything. You gave him a nod, to which he nodded back.
“It wasn’t that long ago actually. It was around the very beginning of the clone wars. They were about my mother.”
“Master-“
“And how she died. I didn’t understand it at the time, but they weren’t nightmares. They were visions.”
“I’m sorry, master.”
“I’m not telling you this so you could feel sorry for me. I told you so you would understand when things like this happen you should talk about it to someone not hold it in, because one day you might be able to save a life.”
“But if it is a vision. . .I fail.”
“Not all visions are set in stone. And they can be almost impossible to understand by yourself.” As he explains he reaches out to gently grab her hands giving them a gentle squeeze.
“They’re about you.” Going back to looking down at my feet.
“What about me?”
“You die. And I’m always to slow to save you.” Looking up to see his expression, he doesn’t look scared if anything he looks amused. “Why are you looking at me like that?” I ask confused.
“Is it ok if I see it?”
“How can you do that?”
“Easy. Hold still.” After he says that his hands move to the side of my head, our eyes closed , and our foreheads laying on one another’s as he searches for the memories. When he finds them they suck him in deep, so deep he has to take a deep breath to keep himself grounded. Your fear, your pain, your anger. But right before he pulled away, he was able to see where they all started. Guilt flooded through him. He didn’t realize how much he scared you. He pulled away and moved to sit next to you on the bed. He paused for a moment trying to figure out the best way to reassure you.
“Listen, Stubs. I’m not going anywhere. And I’m sorry I frightened you. Why didn’t you come to me?”
“I was afraid. Everything I was feeling, everything I am feeling is forbidden for a Jedi to feel. And I didn’t want you to look at me any different.” I replied, looking the opposite way shamefully.
“Stub. I am the last person to judge you. I have your back, just like I’m sure you have mine. Whatever I can do to help you, I will do. But I can promise you, I’m not going anywhere. And you don’t have to be scared of that happening anytime soon, or at all for that matter. Understand?”
“Yes, master.” Not giving him time to reply. I threw myself into his side, wrapping my arms tightly around him. He returned the gesture, pulling me into him even more.
“Bed time.” He pulled away, lightly pushing me to lay down, and pulled the blanket over me.
“Master? When’s our next mission?”
“We don’t have any, and we won’t until you’re well rested.”
“Huh?”
“Oh yeah, you don’t know. We won’t be completing any assignments for a while. I requested to take some time off, due to my padawan deciding it’s ok to go into battles with little to no sleep.” He smirked knowingly.
“You knew.”
“Of course I did. Now get some sleep, please.” He replied as he turned to leave.
“Master?”
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
His playful smirked turned into a soft smile. “Good night, Stubs.”
“Good night, master.” I responded as I laid down already half asleep, ready to catch up on all the months that were missed.

〰️
( i have—surprisingly—not watched star wars, so i really do apologize if any of the information is incorrect)
anakin knew nothing about love, though, that was expected.
as a jedi, any love—familial or romantic or even platonic—was strictly warded against. he knew not what it felt like, nor what it even truly was. he prided himself in it, too, the fact that he could so easily discard any unnecessary—unwanted feelings. it was, for so long, a good thing. but during you, it got to be a barbarous curse.
he suspected. he suspected it was indeed love damning his heart, threatening his title, plaguing him. he suspected it was you who was damning him. you and your stupid, fatuous smiles—that were never for him—your heedful eyes. everything about you, perhaps. and it made his skin crawl with what he wished so purely and truly was hate. but it was not. he knew that much, because he had grown to know hate. he had walked by its side and held its hand in battle. out of battle. he knew hate like a brother. this was not hate.
though, he imagined you must've hated him.
maybe he did go a bit too hard on you, a youthful, naïve padawan, too easily distracted, so easily tangled in your own thoughts. it was your one weakness on the battlefield, for you were a skilled warrior, a worthy opponent, despite your abstractedness. any hilt of any blade fit so easily in your hand, like it was your own bone that you wielded. it impressed anakin, truly, that unabashed skill. it was the reason you were his padawan in the first place. but your own emotions would be the death of you if you could not learn to bury them away.
a saber at your legs, the locking of knees, a grunt, and you were on the ground as easily as a lawn chair folding. you groaned loudly, head throbbing and a ringing filling your ears, your backside aching profusely. anakin. stupid. of course he had used that foolish move you hated so much, meant to avert your attention elsewhere. he had looked off to the side, and curious, you had followed his gaze, getting knocked to the dirt not a moment later. hours. it had been so many hours, out in the sun, battling him like he was the sworn enemy he made himself in your eyes, and sweat was slipping down your back, and your limbs were so weak, and your joints groaned and protested against any movement you executed. disgruntled and uncaring of the mess you most definitely looked, you dropped your arms to the ground, giving up entirely.
"one would think you'd finally stop falling for that trick after using it on you for so long." you faintly heard across from you, anakin's arms now crossed tightly over his chest and his eyes boring into your own, dull ones, which were half-lidded and begging for rest. your entire body was begging for rest, as were your thoughts. even the stark ground below you seemed oh so comfortable at that moment. "training does not include sleeping, ace."
"don't call me that," you managed to wheeze. ace. a nickname he had deemed you when you had first started your practices. he never told you why, even when you asked. some research told you it was another way of saying, "best", or, "top", which might've been a compliment if it weren't coming from him. you snarled in his face about it the very next morning. "and one would think you'd finally stop using it once you realized i'd always fall for it."
on shaky—embarrassingly so—limbs, you propped yourself up onto your elbows, promptly panting. anakin's eyes narrowed, face contorting into that of disappointment. you knew that expression so well. it was what kept you up at night, what haunted your dreams like a monster under a child's bed.
"one day," he replied simply, extending a gloved hand to help you up. as if you needed it. (you did). eyes narrowing, you proved to him exactly how stupid he was for being disappointed, struggling very thoroughly to a stand without his help. your legs shook beneath you, as limp as saturated noddles.
"one day that is not today. can we be done here?" you croaked, eyes still staring daggers at him. anakin scowled, shaking his head.
"have you been using the methods?" of course he didn't answer your question. instead, he asked his own. you rolled your eyes, shifting.
"no, i have not. i find them to be useless."
"they are not useless," he countered. the sun was bleating at the back of your head, so hot you felt you might collapse. "if you had used them at all after yesterday's lessons, you would've known that."
"i tried."
"don't lie."
you pursed your lips, your nose scrunching. "my apologies."
anakin weighed a look.
"master," you added, tilting your head down, your eyes swimming with stark vitriol. "my apologies, master."
a moment passed of silence so tangible with angered tension you felt you might drown in it. your throat was caked with dryness, that even swallowing was no use. you needed water. desperately. your teacher looked skeptically at you, and you sent the look right back.
"i expect you to be here tomorrow. at the same time." a groan of relief nearly parted your lips at his words, legs already moving to leave.
"yes, master," you quickly threw out, turning on your heel and walking away, shoulders painfully bunched as the look on your face. his eyes on your retreating figure was the last thing you felt of him before you were out of sight.
---
you didn't know why you hated anakin skywalker.
well, technically you did. you blamed him for it. for that feeling, that stupid, stupid feeling within you. of nothingness. of emptiness. of hollowed-out bone. that feeling that drove you to tears every night. you'd never be good. you'd never be better. your own mother had stated it.
the only thing you remembered of your childhood was palms, raw from being beaten. beaten because you were too sensitive. hours of training, bordering torture, and every time you so much as made a mistake, made a pained face, made a sound of protest, you were to go without dinner, and you were to be beaten. it was why you were so good. you had to learn how to be good if you didn't want to be hit. and that was the only thing you could thank your mother for. your skill.
skills you hated. you didn't hate fighting, but you hated training. you hated failure. each time you fell or grunted or cried out, you half-expected anakin to pull out a ruler and beat your palms bloody, or make you hang from a tree until your shoulders popped out of their sockets, only to pop them right back in and send you to bed without any dinner or medicine. you hated failing. and anakin made you fail.
he was too good. you weren't narcissistic, no. you weren't envious either. not of his talent. he could flaunt it around for all you cared, but you hated losing to him. it reminded you too much of a past you buried deep within you. you weren't an angry person, but for him, you would be.
so you blamed him. and you'd blame anyone in his position. maybe it wasn't his fault. in your eyes, it was. and it would stay that way. you'd hate him and he'd go the rest of his life knowing it, but never knowing to what extent it ran to.
a week had passed since that lesson and you were no better.
your failings were a jealous, conniving friend, incessantly whispering in your ear hateful words to knock you to the ground as anakin did so seamlessly. now, hours after training had ended and you had been dismissed, you still seemed so filthy, even freshly washed, like your soul was the one contaminating your skin, not the dirt that had once matted your hair.
words. there were so many words. you couldn't shut them out. they were a ringing in your ears, they were a reminder in the mirror. the mirror you refused to look at but somehow managed to every now and then. tears sprung to your eyes. so many words. when you stared at your reflection, all you saw was your mother. that only hurt more.
so instead, you stared at your ceiling, sprawled out on your bed, trying and failing to lull your thoughts into that of nothingness. it was no use. it never would be. it was far, far into the night when you fell asleep, finally succumbing to unconsciousness solely because your body demanded it, even when your whirling mind protested against it.
what woke you up was him. him. anakin. a good thing to wake up to, indeed. his face was like a curse, to damn you to a horrible day for the rest of it. but... what? why was he...?
"how was your sleep?" he asked from his place leaning against the doorframe. you shot up in bed, rubbing your eyes and willing your mind into consciousness.
"huh?"
"you slept in," he deadpanned. you stopped, dropping your hands at your sides and groaning, your head falling against your headboard.
"can we postpone—"
"no."
you pursed your lips, eyes narrowing at his damned face. you did not give one flying fuck about the skimpy silk nightgown you had donned earlier last night as you hastily stepped out of bed, watching his eyes slip down your form, widen, and quickly look the other way.
"gonna watch a woman change, too? pervert."
anakin threw you one last, angry stare before stepping out the door and shutting it behind him.
---
"you're dismissed."
"thank you master."
the only thing you planned to do when you got back to your chambers was sleep. to make up for lost time. time anakin had so rudely ripped from you.
pushing open your door, you nearly fell onto your mattress just at the sight of the bed, so beautiful and white and comfortable and soft. so unlike the ground you had hit over and over again minutes earlier. but you couldn't sleep yet. not when you were coated in thick mud. not when your hair was riddled with it, matted and tangled. so instead, you made yourself turn to your bathroom, strip yourself of your fighting leathers, and turn on the shower. while it heated, you risked a glance at the mirror above your sink, and scowled at who looked back.
it took a good 30 minutes to rid yourself of your earlier endeavors. every time you thought you were clean, you looked down only to see brown water flowing down the drain. by the time you were out, the bathroom's air was stuffy and suffocating and wet, struggling down your throat. you did not bother tying up your soaking hair, only pulling on some sleeping attire and crawling into bed. sleep hit you immediately.
but you should've known.
a few hours later, you awoke in a sea of sheets and blankets and warmth. too much warmth. sweat was slipping down your back, your skin chilled with a cold breeze, your mind a whirlwind. almost immediately, you shot out of bed, tripping over your blanket and stumbling across the floor. you couldn’t breathe enough. you were suffocating on nothing. the ground at your feet was freezing, biting, but your skin was nothing at that moment, your nerves weren’t there. you couldn’t feel, not as you tripped into your desk and nearly fell into the bathroom, chest heaving and eyes wide. not as you flipped on your sink and watched icy water gush out, hitting the porcelain with a prompt sound you couldn’t hear over the ringing in your ears.
on any other day, you would’ve reared back from the freezing water, immobilizing your hands when they cupped together and gathered it, but the only thought running through your head was your earlier dream, still haunting you, even when you were awake. without giving yourself time to think, you splashed the cool liquid onto your face, again and again and again, until your eyes were blurry with invading water. it dripped onto the tiled floor when you turned, blindly searched for the towel rack, and grabbed the cloth strung on it, oddly warm in your shaking hands. you wiped the remaining droplets off of your skin, wiped away the ones that had traveled to your elbows, below your shirt, on your neck. you barely recognized the person who looked back at you in the mirror when you turned around once again. it scared you. your lip quivered, the face of fear, and you stared hopelessly into your own eyes until you couldn’t handle it anymore. you turned on your heel and walked out, in search of someone in particular.
you didn't let yourself think about it. the whole walk. especially when your mind was buzzing and your hands were shaking at your sides, bags beneath your eyes and face pale.
you found anakin talking to padmé, someone you did not know too well but had grown to know the presence of. the sun was sinking in the cloudy sky, swimming into dusk.
"y/n," she greeted upon seeing your approaching figure. you smiled, dipping your head in a warm acknowledgment, which was anything but warm. anakin beside her was staring at you like you'd just told him the world was ending at his feet. "how are you, my friend?"
she was so kind. too kind. you intertwined your fingers in front of you, hoping your smile was believable. "who could not be simply ecstatic with such weather and life thriving around us?"
padmé huffed a laugh, her eyes bright as the sun over her shoulder. "ah, yes. it is quite lovely. are you in need of something?"
finally, finally, you looked to anakin, who was staring strangely at you. who had stayed quiet this whole time. "yes, actually. may i steal master away from you for a moment?"
and his heart nearly stopped in his chest. you? why? what? a breath stuttered in his lungs, his brows raising in confusion. padmé looked to him, then back to you, perfectly unaware. "why, of course! no need to ask," she quickly approved, her smile something you wished your own could be. "have a good rest of your day." and she was gone.
both of you were quiet a moment, looking at each other with equal surprise. surprise on his part that you had asked for his presence. surprise on your part that you had asked for his presence.
surprise about what you were about to ask next.
"yes, y/n? is something amiss—"
"teach me the methods." even more surprise. anakin's lips parted in silent shock, the only sign he was shocked at all save for the ever so slight widen of his eyes. even you were bewildered that you were asking. but there was no other solution for the thoughts in your head. he was right. they needed to be shut down. they needed to be locked away, for they were what caused your failings, and they in turn, accumulated because you failed.
"pardon—?"
"the methods." your hands had unlatched from each other, now flexed in front of you and moving with your words. "for— for my emotions."
anakin looked at you for another moment. strangely. so strangely. he opened his mouth and you nearly winced, tensing, and relaxing once he closed it again. he looked... confused. you understood completely why. and when he dipped his head in a slight nod, turned on his heel and expected you to follow, you were briefly grateful he hadn't teased or asked any further questions. no. not briefly. immensely.
you both walked. and walked. you silently pondered where he was leading you to, but did not inquire out loud. at some point, it became clear that he was guiding you to the place you normally trained. when he finally stopped and turned, you stood in the same place you had only a few hours before.
you finally cleared your throat. "i thought the methods did not include battling—"
"they will soon, when you master them enough to apply them to fighting," he responded before you could even finish. it was so weird, this new tension. not an hour ago, it was snarky comments and rude stares, but now, it was unadulterated seriousness and unwavering stoicism. you felt anakin assess your body, and you involuntarily shifted into your fighting stance, hastily bringing yourself out of it again. "this is where we will practice. we could apply them to your lessons—"
"no," you quickly jumped, which was more instinct than choice. after lessons, you did not want to have to focus on your breathing or bodily control. you wanted to sleep. deeply and thoroughly. anakin quickly scrunched his eyebrows together. "i meant— is there any other time?"
"in the afternoon, yes. is this something you want to do daily?" he asked, and you swallowed down thickness in your throat.
"yes," came the tentative and choked-out answer. he nodded, lips pursing. you were briefly worried he'd continue with his questions, specifically why you wanted to do this. but he didn't. he just sighed through his nose and straightened, and the lesson begun.
---
it was long. and time-consuming. and just slightly annoying.
you couldn't get yourself to focus the way the instructions called for. acknowledge your surroundings and let those thoughts go, they stated. but you couldn't do that. it was supposed to help with distraction, and it took a while for it to actually work. anakin was seated beside you, facing you, while you sat straight ahead. his hands cradled your back and torso, keeping your posture straightened after he had reminded you one too many times to be mindful of it.
beneath his touch, it was difficult not to squirm. you never really touched boys before. save for training, of course. other than that, you never had a reason to. anakin's hands all over you was a plague you weren't sure you were happy about catching. his voice rang through your ears, counting. each time you shook your head, telling him you'd lost track of your breaths and had gotten distracted again, he restarted.
"8.... 9... 10." finally. you couldn't stop now. you'd been working at this for hours. "okay, now let your mind go again." he spoke, and you eased back into yourself. thoughts and colors and feelings exploded all around you, all things you had somehow managed to block out. it was like flying through clear skies and then having your wings clipped midair, plummeting, plummeting, plummeting, until you hit the ground. your eyes shot open, immediately widening, and you looked off to the side, where anakin smiled openly and proudly at you.
"you did it." because you did. for the first time possibly ever, you grinned back at him.
when it was all over, it was late into the night.
the walk back was silent. you didn't speak, and neither did he. not about your earlier lessons or the ones to come. or the fact that this meant most of your day would be spent with him. it made your stomach flip. for reasons you didn't want to ponder over.
later, you stared at your ceiling once again. night was bleeding into dawn like ink on a wet piece of paper. you tried the method. to fall asleep. just to see if it'd work.
it did not.
.
hi. if i still have your attention, i want to use it to talk about what's going on in gaza. during the superbowl, the last safe zone was bombed by israelis who lured innocent palestinians to it, claiming it was what would keep them safe from their advances. everyone who went there died.
everyday, people die in gaza and other parts of palestine by the hands of israelis. their forces are dying off, they have nothing. no hospitals, food, running water. absolutely nothing.
there are many ways you can help. i assure you, you do not need starbucks to live. if you care even a bit for the children who suffer everyday, for the men who die and the women who are tortured, you will forget about your pink drink or your coffee, and you will help boycott. you do not need even a penny to support palestine, you just need to start refusing service of those restaurants.
a man lit himself on fire, as well, as a last cry for help and a protestation. for gaza. he lit himself on fire, and the israeli force's first instinct was to lift their guns and threaten to shoot him. while he was burning to death. it's worse than you think, and if you support israel, i ask that you get off of my page.
there are so many people on instagram and youtube and tiktok that you can follow, so many things you can do without spending a penny. i ask that you please help. nothing will change if we don't.
free palestine 🇵🇸

Our Padawan II // Our Padawan III

☆☆☆
"They sent the child to destroy my station? The Republic must be running out of Jedi!"
Ahsoka shifted her stance to defensive as she prepared her lightsaber.
To be truthful, this wasn't supposed to be a mission, but Anakin's "do as I say, not as I do" teaching strategy didn't seem to have the best results, and more often than not it ended up in the young Padawan doing exactly as he did.
And now she was facing Grievous nearly on her own, only accompanied by her fellow soldiers.
"You must be General Grievous."
The cyborg cackled exaggerately.
"He's just another tinny, boys. Let's scrap him like the rest." She sassed, lunging forward with her green lightsaber.
Grievous quickly blocked the blow and managed to shove her off. She hit the ground with a pained groan and looked up as the Clones shot at him. He deflected all the blaster shots, killing one of them and slashing two others with his lightsaber. He towered over Rex, who was sprawled out on the ground, and raised his weapon over his head. Ahsoka's eyes widened and she leapt in front of her friend, blocking the General's weapon with her own.
"Sorry to interrupt your playtime, grumpy, but wouldn't you prefer a challenge?"
"That wouldn't be you." As Grievous ignited a second lightsaber, she cringed internally.
Maybe she shouldn't have said that.
...
"Where is the fight you promised me, youngling?"
She was definitely getting in trouble for this.
Y/N and Anakin would kill her. She knew they'd be furious with her for doing this, but there was no turning back now.
She hid behind one of the metal shelves in the storage room, looking out for a way to escape. She used the Force to knock an item down on the other side of the room to distract Grievous, then made for sneaking out.
As if on cue, her commlink beeped. Damn it. She cupped her hand over it to silence the noise before answering. "Ahsoka, it's me, Rex. There are only two of us left. Should we abort the mission?"
"No, complete the mission. Set the charges and rendezvous at the landing bay." She replied as quietly as she could.
Ahsoka cut him off as he tried to protest. "That's an order, Rex. I'll keep the General busy. Ahsoka, out."
She turned off her commlink and silently crawled through the shelves as Grievous' gruff voice rang out again.
"Come here, child, I'm looking for you. So far you have failed to impress me."
The R3 unit found her as she backed up against the wall, flattening her body over the cold metal. "Goldie, over here." To her surprise, the droid shone a light on her, revealing her location. "Goldie, no!"
She gasped as the cyborg pulled the commlink off her wrist and destroyed it, making her miss the message Rex was about to send. "Your friends won't help you. You're stuck with me." His figure towering over her was certainly intimidating, but she slipped through a shelf and away from the General as fast as she could.
She climbed up one of the shelves and watched as Grievous asked Goldie for the report. "That stubby little backstabber." She whispered, feeling betrayed.
"Skywalker has come for his R2 unit?" He chortled. "Go and make sure they do not escape."
A sting of fear pierced Ahsoka's heart. Oh, no.
...
Y/N's brows knitted together as her commlink beeped. Anakin turned to give her a look of confusion, wordlessly asking her a question. "It's Rex."
Anakin frowned, wondering what was going on.
She immediately answered the call. "Rex? What's wrong?"
"We ran into Grievous."
"Are you all right?"
"Yes. Fives and I survived."
"Only you two? Where are the others?"
"Three of us were shot down... and Grievous is going after Ahsoka."
"Ahsoka?!" The two said at the same time, worry lacing their voices.
"Y/N, out." She said and ended the call, beginning to walk away.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Anakin hollered, running to block her way. "Where you going, tiger?"
"Where do you think? To save our Padawan's ass!" She snapped, then regretted it as she looked at his face. "I'm sorry, Ani. But we need to move now."
"Come on." He said, trying to give her a comforting smile.
...
Ahsoka climbed down and used her lightsaber to illuminate her surroundings as she peeked around the corner. She then turned it off and relaxed her tense posture slightly, but it didn't last long as Grievous grabbed her by the throat in a second, casting her lightsaber aside.
Her eyes widened in fear as Grievous towered over her, grabbing his weapon.
"Another lightsaber to add to my collection." He said as he ignited it and held it up near her face. "My R3 unit has dropped your precious Masters. When I'm finished with you, they're next." She strained her arm out to try to pry the lightsaber from his grip with the Force, failing. She was tired and her breath was running out.
"That was it?" He cackled. "Do it again. Come on." Ahsoka closed her eyes, reaching out to the Force. The weapon was grabbed from his hand successfully, but not by her. Grievous made a confused noise as he dropped the girl to the ground.
Y/N gripped the weapon tightly as she shoved Grievous away from Ahsoka: she blocked all his blows before successfully tripping the cyborg and hovering over him, her lightsaber at his neck. Ahsoka's eyes widened in shock and surprise as she watched her Master fight, with Anakin standing in front of the Padawan to protect her as she handled the fight, glaring daggers at Grievous while shielding Ahsoka with his body.
"If you ever come near our Padawan again, I swear to the Maker I will rip your teeny face off your teeny skull." Y/N growled, leaning the lightsaber closer to his throat.
"Oh, she's-she's under both of your training..? I didn't know that!" He excused himself meekly, stumbling over his words.
"Leave!" Anakin snapped. That was all it took to send him running away. "Snips, thank the stars you're all right!"
He knelt down in front of her to hug her tightly. He could feel the relief flooding him like a tidal wave as the young girl nestled into his embrace. "Are you hurt?"
She shook her head in response, raising her head to look at Y/N. "Masters, I-"
She silenced her with a glare. "You nearly got yourself killed."
"I... I'm sorry..." she said quietly, looking at her feet in guilt.
"Let's go back to the ship."
Y/N walked on ahead as Anakin looked down at his Padawan with a pout, knowing the impact the scare had on his lover.
Her mind was running a thousand miles an hour. If they had gotten there a few seconds later, Ahsoka would have been killed. The mental image was crystal clear: her limp body in her arms, her blood staining her fingers, Anakin's bloodstained hands and arms wrapping around her to comfort her as sobs racked her body-
"Stardust? You all right?" As if he knew whenever she was getting into her own head too much, Anakin's soft voice pulled her from her thoughts. When she clutched onto him for dear life, he swept an arm under her legs and picked her up bridal style, kissing her head before walking away. "Wait here, Snips."
He carried her into another room and set her down on the ground, pulling her onto his lap as she broke down in tears, hyperventilating as she sobbed in his shoulder. "I'm sorry, Ani..."
"Hey, you have nothing to apologise for, love," he soothed, massaging her scalp gently. "Tell me, what are you afraid of?"
She took a moment to regain her breath before speaking. "What if one day we don't get there in time? Just the thought of finding her makes me tremble..." her voice shook. "I love that girl, all right? I love her like a daughter and I can't lose her, Ani... not to this..."
Anakin's heart broke at the words: he already crumbled whenever he saw her cry, but hearing her speak those words in a desperate, scared tone made him want to take her in his arms and kiss all her pain away.
"I know, my love, I know," he hushed, nuzzling his nose into her hair. "Listen, I love her, too, and I certainly don't want to lose her... but she's not a child anymore. She's making her own decisions and learning from them. I know you feel like you need to yell at her until she promises to never do it again, but we need to stop babying her."
"Fine."
...
As they landed on Naboo, Y/N walked out the door first, not looking back as Ahsoka looked at Anakin in guilt. He responded with a sympathetic look, then walked up behind his lover to give her a back hug. She relaxed slightly as she melted into his arms, letting a few tears slide down her face again. He seemed to notice because she felt him kiss her shoulder and then lean closer to kiss the tears off her cheeks.
"It's alright now, my love. She's safe." Anakin whispered in her ear.
She shook her head, trying to push the lingering fear away. "Ahsoka."
The girl took slow, sad steps towards them, looking down at her feet to avoid catching their angry looks. She didn't know whether her Masters had a fight or not, but she was sure they were going to be mad.
"Ahsoka, what were you thinking?" Anakin asked when she stopped in front of them.
"You could have been killed! And what's worse, you put Rex and Fives in danger!" She continued, trying to keep her composure. "Why did you do that?"
"I... I was just trying to be brave like you guys..." she whimpered.
"Anakin and I are only brave when we have to be." Y/N said, her face softening as she looked at her.
"Snips, being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble." He added.
"But you guys aren't scared of anything." She said, looking up at us.
"We're scared of lots of things. And we also were today." Anakin spoke.
"You were?"
She hummed in response, tipping her chin upwards to look her in the eyes. "We thought we were going to lose you. We care about you very much, Ahsoka. And if something were to happen to you, I..." She trailed off, her eyes glossing over with tears. "I honestly don't know what I'd do with myself."
Ahsoka walked closer to her and wrapped her arms tightly around her waist, and Y/N sighed as she hugged her back. "I'm sorry I made you feel this way, and I care about you guys, too. I won't do it again."
Her heart swelled at the words and Anakin walked closer to hug both of then, squishing Ahsoka between them. She was surprised to see how calm they were, and honestly she was glad. "Thank you. That's very mature of you."
"Now go back inside, Snips. It's getting cold." He said, chuckling.
"Okay. Good night." She said as she pulled away and walked back inside.
"Eat something before you go to bed!" Y/N called out.
Anakin smiled at her caring attitude and wrapped his arms around his girlfriend once again. She finally smiled in content and leaned into his embrace with a sigh. "You handled that really well. I'm proud of you, my love."
"Thanks." She chuckled and turned around to kiss his lips softly. "I just- I didn't know I loved her that much..."
"Neither did I. But now we have her promise. That only leaves overcoming your fears, doesn't it?" He asked, smiling softly as his blue eyes looked deeply into hers.
"You're right." She replied and pressed their foreheads together, enjoying the moment of intimacy. Because of the Jedi Code, they were forced to avoid public displays of affection, so whenever they could get a minute to just be together, basking in each other's presence in a way they were forbidden to otherwise, they left all cares behind.
"Anakin?"
"Hmm?"
She looked up at him with her big doe eyes, flooding with love and admiration for him. "Thank you for being so supportive."
He smiled, then leaned down to kiss her shoulder. "Don't thank me, my love." Then he pressed his lips with hers in a slow and passionate French kiss. It was when Y/N let out a low moan that he decided to pull away.
"My love, we can't do this right now."
"I know." She mumbled grumpily, making him giggle.
"I promise that'll be the first thing we do when we get home." He whispered sultrily in her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
"I love you, Ani."
"I love you too, stardust."

Tumblr media
Obi-Wan’s footsteps came to a halt as he froze in his place, staring down at the small red screen on the machine, with wide eyes, knowing that it meant that somebody had entered his makeshift home.
Hesitantly, he crept in through the opening, glancing around the corner as his instincts that he had worked so hard to push away kicked in.
Subconsciously, he began reaching for something that no longer was hanging on his belt. Something that hadn’t hung on his belt for years.
Peering around another corner, his slightly narrowed eyes landed on a hooded figure who had their back to him, but they straightened up as if they heard his silent footsteps.
The man braced for whatever was about to come, only to falter when he came face to face with a person he thought he would never see again. You.
“Y/n.” He breathed out, eyes going wide.
You smiled gently at him, lowering your hood, “Hello, Obi-Wan. I figured you would’ve sensed it was me, though.” You teased playfully.
“I don’t go by that name here, it’s Ben now.” The man mumbled, ignoring your last comment as he shuffled by you and discarded his robe on his bed, refusing to make eye contact.
He heard you sigh, “Listen, I know that I shouldn’t be here-“
Ben whirled around, months of bottled up anger finally getting the best of him, “You’re right. You shouldn’t be here.” He seethed, “It’s dangerous for the both of us.”
You glanced down at your feet, biting your lip as you felt guilt slowly begin to pool up in your stomach, “I know.” You said softly, now being the one to refuse to meet the older man’s gaze.
The ex-jedi felt his features soften as he looked over at you, a person he once knew, “It is good to see you, Y/n.”
You took a deep breath, lifting your head up to face him again, “You know why I’m here.”
“They sent you?” His right eyebrow raised even though he didn’t even have to ask to know that Leia’s adopted parents had sent you to try and convince him to help find her.
Nodding your head, you took a step forward, bringing your hands up almost in a begging manner, “Please, Mast- Ben.” You caught yourself, “If not for me, then for him.”
Ben stiffened even more, “I left that life behind me long ago, and if you knew what was good for you then you would as well.”
“I loved him too, you know.” Your statement caught him off guard as he looked at you, startled, “He was my brother just as much as he was yours.”
While Anakin had been Obi-Wan's apprentice, you had been Anakin’s.
“I can’t.” His voice broke, hands trembling at his sides as he tried to calm himself down.
With a sad shake of your head your eyes found their way back to the ground once more, “The Obi-Wan I knew would never back down from helping a person.”
“The Obi-Wan you knew has been dead for a very long time.” Came his shaky reply.
You allowed your head to nod slightly, sighing a bit, “I understand… I suppose I just didn’t want to do it alone… I just wanted it to be like old times.” He wasn’t meant to hear the last part as your voice quieted down, but the words were clear as day to him.
“We can never go back to the old days, Y/n.”
You let out a small, sad laugh, “I know.”
Allowing your eyes to lift back to the man you had once looked up to more than anything, you let yourself give out one last shaky breath, “Goodbye, Ben.”
With that, you strode past him and made your way towards the door.
“Wait.” The word appeared to have startled both you and Obi-Wan, who hadn’t been expecting himself to say that, “I… I’ll come with you.”
A small smile made its way onto your face, “I knew I could count on you.”
As he gazed upon your face, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of responsibility, one he had felt towards you when you were much younger and still a padawan learner, and no matter what he knew he couldn’t let you face whatever lied ahead by yourself. Not anymore.

What you are capable of
Anakin X Platonic Padawan Reader
Summary: The reader is given a mission from Palpatine to negotiate air space access. It's a big trap to get her killed off to pull Anakin closer to the dark side.
Warnings: non-graphic mentions of rape and assault - not to the reader. Anakin freaking out, murder, happy ending, big dad vibes, hurt comfort
Tumblr media
Being Anakin’s Padawan had meant that your Jedi journey had not been the usual sort. When Yoda had summoned you to the chancellor's office you weren't surprised. You got dressed and moved quickly not wanting to keep everyone waiting. What did surprise you was the absence of your master and Obi-Wan. Normally the three of you went everywhere together. You felt it was like being a family, in the darker parts of Anakin's mind you sensed he felt it was a kind of exile or alienation.
You felt uncomfortable being in the presence of so many powerful people without Anakin. Normally he would help you navigate these types of situations. You bowed and waited for them to speak first.
“Ah, lovely to see you dear!” The chancellor looked at you with a big smile on his face. Obi-wan and Anakin trusted him but he always made you feel strange. “We have a special task for you.”
“We need you to negotiate an air space passage with someone in the outer rim,” Windu spoke clearly but you could feel he didn't approve of this plan.
“Oh, I’m sure that won’t be an issue for us.”
“We all feel it would be best to send you in with a team of troopers. He has a bit of a history with Anakin.” You tried hard not to let your emotions bleed through. “Your language skills are a necessity for this mission, really there is no better person to send.”
You thought about it for a moment. Everything inside you was screaming not to do this, especially without Anakin’s approval.
“Help you must,” Yoda said nodding.
“Alright, thank you for the opportunity. I’ll go let Anakin know -”
“I’m afraid there isn't time, I will speak with your master as soon as he returns from his tasks.” Palpatine gave you a reassuring look and a soft smile. You nodded and Windu escorted you to the ship. As far as you knew Anakin was asleep in his quarters, you reached out your mind and tried to wake him up.
______________________________________________________________
Anakin was asleep. A rare occurrence these days. He could feel himself lying in the grass, wildflowers around him. The sun was shining on his face and the air was warm. Qui-gon and Obi-wan were laughing and he was very at peace. Anakin sat up when he felt you pressing into his mind. You were channeling all of your fear to him, pushing into his mind with as much force as you could.
He shot out of bed and tried to reach out to you. He could tell you weren't in your room, but that you had moved a far distance in a short span of time.
You were too far away.
Where the fuck did you go?
He threw his robes on quickly and ran out into the hall, Obi-Wan moved around the corner and greeted him with a concerned face.
“What’s wrong?” He asked grabbing Anakin’s shoulder
“Where the fuck is my Padawan?” He asked angrily.
He and Obi-Wan approached the council. Anakin knew he needed to control himself, but he could tell he was at his breaking point. They had no right to give you orders or send you anywhere without him, or his approval. You were tied to him, every move you made or any move the world made against you was his sole responsibility. Obi-Wan had his usual deep sense of calm surrounding him, Anakin wanted to shout at him for it.
“The chancellor insisted Anakin, you have to understand the importance of this trade route -” One of the Jedi masters tried to explain, but he could sense Windu’s discomfort and focused his attention on him.
“She’s with a whole crew of troopers. The chancellor was very clear he wanted her to be the one who made contact.” Windu finally broke.
“Who is she meeting with?” Obi-Wan asked in a casual voice.
“Orar Baize,” Windu answered and Obi-Wan clamped his hand on Anakin’s shoulder tightly. Anakin was tempted to hit him but felt slightly subdued by his master's energy. Making a scene here only meant it would be harder to go after you.
“When is she to return,” Obi-Wan asked seemingly unbothered by this information.
“If everything goes to plan, three days.” Windu said firmly.
“Thank you.” Obi-Wan directed Anakin to the door and they moved down the hallway quickly. Once in the elevator, Anakin was ready to explode.
“Don’t” Anakin pushed his master's hand away as Obi-Wan tried to help him. Rage and betrayal pulsed through him if he started to side with the council Anakin would kill him.
We need to get to a ship. Just keep it together till then.
His master's words felt like a cool cloth being pressed to his forehead. He could feel his walls slip a little and realized he was just as angry as Anakin.
We need to be practical if we are to reach her in time
For once Anakin wasn't annoyed with his master's reminder to be practical. He took a deep breath and felt his emotions focus.
They climbed into a two-seater and managed to slip away without too much attention being drawn to themselves. It wasn’t unusual for Anakin to take a fighter out for a ride.
He got the coordinates locked in and let the ship do its thing.
“We should have dealt with him after what he did to Master Kenau.” Anakin's voice was venomous and he felt Obi-Wan sigh.
“I agree. What he did and his reputation for collecting Jedi is unforgivable.” Obi-Wan nodded. Master Kenau, was badly assaulted years ago, Anakin found out and insisted they press the council to do something about him, but she refused. She wasn’t herself after that and Anakin felt her pain to this day.
“She’s just a kid. They sent a child into the hands of a rapist with a special appetite for Jedi.” Anakin had only reached this level of anger when he had the sand people incident. He tried to remember there was a lesson in all of that, how painful it was to tell Obi-Wan. Thinking of something happening to you erased all feelings of remorse or logic.
“The council has become more and more influenced by the politics of The Republic,” Obi-Wan said taking Anakin off guard. “It is not our place to be involved with these kinds of things.”
“What do we do about it?” Anakin asked genuinely curious about his master's stance.
“I get the feeling it will all fall into place after we get her back.” He said calmly.
“I didn’t think you would help,” Anakin said in a quiet voice, unsure if he wanted to discuss these issues now.
“Please, Anakin. The girl is like a granddaughter to me.” Obi-Wan chided.
That would make me your son, Anakin thought to himself. He held those words with him while they tried to catch up with you.
____________________________
You were starting to realize that this was a trap. Your stomach was right. You should have kicked and screamed and stalled till Anakin or Obi-Wan could get to you.
But here you were, alone. Clones were murdered in the landing bay, and you were in Orar’s office after taking out a bunch of droids. You had never met a species of his kind. He was large with mint green skin.
“What’s your name?” He asked with the smile of a predator. His teeth were long and pointed. You decided not to answer.
“Well, tiny Jedi. The Chancellor has held up his end of the bargain.” His eyes were dark and you stood there with good posture like Anakin had taught you. “Your life was traded for something of little value.” He was trying to get a rise out of you. But that’s what men like that fed on, he wanted you to argue your value. He wanted to watch you dance and react, wanted to feel your youth and belittle you.
“Come on little Jedi, Say something.”
“Something.” You said easily and his jaw clenched.
“Don’t make this difficult, it could be a nice time if you let it be.” You started to feel what he wanted and you fought harder than ever to keep your emotions closed off and contained.
“I think I should be leaving now.” You said diplomatically, you would try to walk out of here the Jedi way first.
“That’s not going to happen.” His body radiated a sick pleasure and you let it feed the anger in your chest the way Anakin showed you too.
__________________________________________
The sound of dueling rang through the landing bay as they moved through the bodies of clones and droids. Anakin moved quicker than he could ever remember moving in his life. They moved onto the top platform and watched you duel with Orar.
Anakin could tell you had been at it for a long while by this point. He watched as you defended yourself. He moved forward and Obi-Wan put a hand on his arm. Anger shot through him.
I had to watch you fight your first battle too
Obi-Wan’s voice ran through his mind, his hand still firm on Anakin's arm. He watched your ruthless form and could see the man faltering. He had taught you every form from the archives he could find. He wanted you to be the best Jedi he wanted you to be able to overcome all evil and triumph.
Did you teach her illegal forms?
Obi-Wan hissed. He watched you execute it perfectly, slicing through the man’s body twice before his body hit the ground. Blood sprayed and he watched you sink to your knees chest heaving.
Anakin rushed up to you picking you up as if his embrace could somehow stop the feelings that would eat into you. Your body shook hard and he took on all of your weight, picking you up properly. The three of you moved in silence back to the landing bay. He found a utility sink and put you down in front of him. He helped keep you up right and he washed your hands. Then he got the blood off your face and neck. Something he wished someone had done for him after the sand-people.
He carried you back towards the ship. Obi-Wan held his arms out towards Anakin, he could feel his master’s reluctance to hold the girl. He only shook his head and got into the passenger side.
He took his robe off and wrapped you in it. Your eyes were still closed tightly as your mind and body fought against each other for control.
______________
Obi-Wan watched as Anakin held you tightly. Your face pressed against his chest and his arms around you. He reflected on all of the times he wanted to hold Anakin just as tightly but didn't.  He could feel the struggle inside you to overcome the situation, to make peace with what you had been forced to do. Anakin was angrier than he had ever seen him before, but he also watched his Padawan try to control it more than ever before. Obi-Wan got them locked in on the path home, he put his hand on Anakin’s shoulder, glad that he accepted Obi-Wan’s help.
You need to clear your mind. It will be easier for her to process the feelings with your help.
He could feel Anakin’s usual annoyance at his advice. But then he could feel Anakin center himself and then slowly start to take on your emotions. Eventually, you stopped shaking, he could tell the two of you were talking.
He could also feel the dangerous bonds of attachment weaving around them. Something he realized he could only see because of his own attachment to Anakin.
He sighed. He felt they were so far off the path they should be on.
Tears fell down Anakin's cheeks as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. They had been soldiers in this war for too long.
He knew Anakin wouldn't let this slide. He would be out for blood the second they reached Coruscant. Obi-Wan could hardly blame him, as the overwhelming anger was boiling in his own blood. Sacrificing a 15-year-old to such evils was unforgivable.
__________________
Obi-Wan was with you for most of the day. He spared with you and you wondered if he would talk about the forbidden forms you had used. You wanted to talk to him about it but you were worried he would be angry with Anakin. You hated it when they fought.
You were reluctant to sleep in your own bed. It's not that you regretted your actions you just felt overwhelmed by the feeling of killing someone. You knew the day would find you but the weight was relentless on your mind. You tried to revisit that ride home, sitting in his embrace. His love was an easy feeling to find in the bond between you now. You tried to hold it and breathe deeply when the memories would resurface.
Anakin had told you how to act over the next few days. You could feel his mind keeping tabs on you constantly. He told you to act normal and to tell him when they called upon you. You weren't allowed to leave the temple under any circumstances, keeping to your room and the training room.
“Master Obi-Wan.” You asked turning off your lightsaber, he did the same.
“Yes.” You could tell he knew what you wanted to talk about.
“I wanted to let you know that I tried to leave like a Jedi.” You took a deep breath. “I asked to leave, I tried to fight defensively. He- I -”
“I think you tried to fix the situation, and eventually realized the threat he posed was too large. You knew what he wanted to do to you and others. You did what you had to do. If I didn’t think it was right, I would have stepped in and handled it for you.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“Anakin and I needed you to see for yourself what you are capable of. I do wish that it could have been in a lesser conflict.” His eyes were empathetic and you wanted to hug him.
“You don’t think it makes me a sith?” You whispered.
“No” He laughed. “I don’t think the Sith could take you, even if they tried their hardest. Your heart is pure, more pure than most.”
“Anakin said that’s why I need to learn everything to be prepared.”
“He feels that you won’t lose yourself or be tempted by the power.” Obi-Wan made a face. “He worries about where the war is headed, above all Anakin wants you to survive.”
You nodded thinking about your master's faith in you.
_
The call came sooner than you thought. Obi-Wan was in a meeting with Anakin and you were reading in your room.
Master - you reached out
What - Anakin responded right away
The chancellor has summoned me
Don’t leave your room - his voice was grave and you sat on your bed waiting for Anakin.
He was there in moments, just long enough for the anxiety to take hold in your stomach. He told you to walk in there and listen and be polite, panic overtook you when you realized he wouldn't be following you in.
Master - you reached out hesitantly with your mind and your fingers curled into the arm of his robe.
Just relay what he says to me
You nodded and walked out of the elevator and down the long hall to his office.
“Ah!’ Palpatine's eyes looked you over. “Thank you for coming to meet with me on such short notice!” His smile was wide and you wanted to hit him.
“I understand that there was a complication with the mission, I just wanted to see how you were feeling about everything.” he tried to look understanding and you wondered what Obi-Wan had told the council.
“Fine.” You gave a little shrug.
“I understand that our contact had attacked you. I just wanted to apologize for what happened dear.” You watched him closely but didn't accept his apology wanting him to continue. “I did hear that your exceptional skills with a lightsaber saved you. I had no idea you were so gifted with all the forms.”
“It’s complicated. But I’d rather be prepared for what's out there.”
“Exactly! My thoughts exactly.” He looked so happy. “There is so much untapped power out there. Something I think you can feel quite well.” He looked at you expectantly. As if he was waiting for you to get the secret meaning of his words.
“You and Anakin are both so special. I think that the three of us should work closer together in the future.” He nodded. Suddenly you caught on to what he was saying.
“Sir, not to overstep -”
“Please, child. We are friends.” He smiled again, his eyes hungry.
“Well, there is a lot of power, I feel angry that The Order keeps it from me. There is a war out there and we need more than -” You waved your hands around. “This. Something stronger.”
He looked positively deranged with joy.
“I know the ways beyond the order, I could teach you and your master.”
“What would you teach us?” You asked innocently.
“The true power of the force.”
“Like the dark side?” You tried to sound even more curious.
“Perhaps.” He nodded, but you could see in his eyes what he was. His eyes had changed with his excitement. Of course, he was at the center of everything.
Master, Palpatine is the sith
It only took a moment for Anakin to knock on the door. He opened it and smiled at Palpatine, and you felt his force presence push you down onto the red carpet. You let it push you down and hold you there. in a flash of a second everything had changed.
Before Palpatine could react you felt the Jedi storm the room. Anakin killed Palpatine and a strange feeling washed over the room. You reached for Obi-Wan and he let you hold on to his side, placing an arm around your shoulders.
“He was a mother-fucking sith.” Windu groaned. Yoda put his hands over this face. Anakin looked triumphant and gave you a big smile.
Fulfilled my prophecy. Now let's get out of here.
___________
Qui-Gon's force ghost finds Obi-Wan and puts them on the right path.
The Order being stupid and Obi-Wan finally siding with Anakin. them going into exile to learn from Qui-Gon and train you. Family vibes.
Anakin being more and more like your father. His love for you always being open and accessible as you navigate your own journey. Even when you are fighting you can reach out and feel it. When you get older and follow your calling into conflicts you can reach out and feel no matter how far away you are.
Just anything other than what happened in cannon.
Him finally falling for Padme and being anxious about your response to her. Them having the twins and him always refering to you as his eldest daughter.
Obi-Wan spoiling all three of the kids and always giving you advice when you didn't want to go to Anakin.

Obi Wan x Reader (can be viewed as platonic)
Unlovable
You find out about the true origin of Obi’s name, which shatters your heart.
Tumblr media
I just found this in my draft. I never finished it, but still decided to share it with you all💕 It was inspired by a post that I can’t find anymore. It was about Obi’s name and origin. If you know the post, please let me know!
“Anakin!”, you called out, your steps quickening as to catch up with him. “Anakin!”, you repeated, getting quite frustrated that your best friend didn’t hear you, or probably didn’t want to hear you.
“Anakin!”, you tried one last time, your voice louder than before, and suddenly all eyes in the hallway were on you- including Anakin’s.
“Oh- yeah. Hi.”, you stammered, your face color changing to a deep read tone. Before you could embarrass yourself any further, you quickly walked up to him and grabbed his arm, leading him away into a hallway that wasn’t so crowded.
“What’s up with you?”, he questioned you, a small smirk playing on his lips when he saw that the redness on your face hadn’t vanished yet.
You stilled, sighing as you realized you wouldn’t find any hallway less crowded. Life day was coming up pretty soon, so there was always at least one youngling decorating the Jedi temple walls in your sight.
“I need your help”, you admitted, defeated. Asking Anakin for help was never a good idea, because he always wanted something in return, constantly reminding you of what he had done for you.
This time, though, you really needed it.
You watched as Anakin raised his eyebrows. “You need my help?”, he let out a quiet chuckle. “You’re asking for help?”
You huffed out a breath of annoyance. “It took a lot of willpower for me to do this, so don’t make it any harder.” Anakin only chuckled, nodding for you to continue.
“Uhm- well. Life day’s coming up, as you probably know, and I wanted to get Obi-Wan something special, so I went to a little store and asked for anything from Stewjon. I wanted to surprise him with something from his home planet.”, you explained and saw how Anakin’s face instantly changed to one of realization.
You didn’t dwell on it to much. “And the vendor looked at me like I was growing another head. Apparently, he had never heard of Stewjon. And he looked quite old, so I grew suspicious.”, you continued, nervously scratching your head. “Well- I decided to ask Master Jocasta Nu about it. And uh-“, you stammered. “The planet doesn’t exist.”, you stated awkwardly, shifting on your feet. You felt stupid, why would Obi-Wan’s birth planet not exist? Surely, Master Nu was making a mistake-
“Oh. He didn’t tell you.”, Anakin let out in a breath. You instantly furrowed your eyebrows. “What?”
“Well- I-“, Anakin hesitated. “Is Obi-Wan in your quarters right now?”
You shook your head. Obi-Wan was currently attending a council meeting and you wanted to use your spare time to surprise him-
“Great. Let’s go talk there.”
-
Anakin set down a cup of tee in front of you. The sweet smell instantly hit your nose and you wondered how much sugar he had added.
“So, the planet truly doesn’t exist?”, you questioned quietly.
“No.”, Anakin admitted. Why would Obi-Wan not tell you something like that? You told each other everything, so why keep this from you?
“It was made up by his parents when they dropped him here.”, he finished.
“Why would they do that?”, you tried to think of any reasonable explanation, but couldn’t find any.
“So he never finds them.”, Anakin explained, watching your features intensely. When he had first heard the story, he clung to Obi-Wan for days, because he felt so bad for him. He knew how much you cared for your master, your delicate heart wouldn’t take it too well.
You only stared at him in confusion. “Where he comes from, truly comes from, people hate the force. They claim that the force is responsible for everything bad. When a child is born force sensitive, they usually abandon them and leave them to die. His parents at least took him to the Jedi temple.”, he explained and somehow, your heart broke a little in your chest. Little Obi-Wan being abandoned by his parents when he was just a few weeks old?
“His name- uhm- Obi-Wan- means ‘unlovable’. Because they would never love a child with the force.”
“Oh-“, you let out, tears already stinging your eyes. Obi-Wan, the name you loved calling him every day, so easily rolling off your tongue, meant unlovable? He was called unlovable every single day?
“I didn’t know.”, you quietly whispered.
Anakin offered you a reassuring smile, reaching out to squeeze your hand once. “He didn’t want you to know. I found out by accident myself.”
He let out a shaky breath. “He thinks that this is his fate. Being unlovable. He thinks that he’s meant for infinite sadness. That his fate was already sealed when he was just a child.”
“He said that?”, your voice was shaking as you asked him, your mind processing all the information Anakin was feeling you. “Yeah.”, Anakin smiled sadly. “He even had a smile on his face while saying it.”
This was too much. Too much for your heart to handle.
Obi-Wan was thinking he was unlovable, destined for infinite sadness, when you were loving him so so much? He was the best person you’ve ever got to know, the kindest, sweetest, caring man in the whole galaxy.
Everyone, really everyone, admired him, wanting to be at least a tiny bit like him. He was the definition of perfect and he still thought that he was unlovable?
“But- you love him, Ahsoka loves him, Padmé loves him, the clones love him, the whole Jedi council loves him-“, you cut yourself off for a second.
“I love him.”
“I need to- I need him to know he’s loved. I need to get him something special for life day-“, you decided, but before you could finish your sentence, the door opened, revealing a rather worn out looking Obi-Wan. The council meeting had taken way longer than he had originally anticipated.
“Sweetheart, I’m hom-“, he began, but stopped mid sentence when he saw Anakin sitting on the couch opposite from you. “Oh, I didn’t know you were here, Anakin.”, he apologized, his cheeks warming up. He only called you sweetheart when it was the two of you, a term of endearment that you had come to love so much overtime.
Before he could even take off his cloak, you were rushing to him and wrapping your arms tightly around his torso.
He grunted at the impact, but quickly melted into the touch, wrapping his arms around yours and soothingly rubbing your back.
“I missed you.”, you mumbled into his robe, the scent alone calming you down a bit. Obi-Wan’s chest rumbled with a chuckle. “I was only away for a few hours.”
“A few hours too much”, you answered, raising your head to look at him, into his beautiful blue eyes. He slowly leaned down, pressing a small kiss to your cheek, his lips lingering for maybe just a few seconds too long, but it was only Anakin who was watching you two.
He watched your tired expression and decided it was best to call it a night. “Let’s get you to bed. Anakin, could you be so nice and leave.”
You chuckled when you heard Anakin letting out a huff and saying something along the lines of him “not being welcome anymore”.
