The stay-at-home-mom!Alicent agenda or whatever in modern rhaenicent fics is so interesting because in the show only one of them was a sahm…and it wasn’t Alicent.
#rhaenicent#I think it’s just that Alicent is portrayed as more traditionally femme#plus Emma being non-binary#no hate just find it interesting how y’all’s minds work#and that sounded bitchy but im being genuine#because rhaenyra literally disappeared to dragon stone for years just to raise her sons#and Alicent stayed in the red keep to rule#like the whole show?#I think a lot of people fall in the trap of making seeing alicent as traditionally feminine in every aspect#for a lot of reasons#but mostly because of her feminine appearance and the appearance of her actress#whereas despite not being traditionally feminine rhaenyra definitely loves being a mom#so in modern aus where they have a choice I can’t see alicent being a sahm and rhaenyra being a working mom#but that’s just me#also thinking about gender roles within queer relationships in one of my pastimes so#and how society has pushed them upon queer people#as someone that looks very femme I get pushed into roles a lot that make me truly uncomfortable

The Succession
Summary: After the battle of Rook’s Rest, Queen Y/N is forced to rule alongside Prince Regent Aemond, in an attempt to keep her children safe and eventually seat her mother, Rhaenyra, on the throne. While attending her husband, on what appears to be his deathbed, she begins to unravel the dark truth of his near passing.
Aegon Targaryen x Velaryon(Strong)!Reader
“Behold, the traitor dragon, Meleys. Slain by King Aegon.”
Cole might’ve bellowed anything before the mention of Y/N’s husband and she would not have heard it. Breaching the castle doors, out onto the streets, where the smallfolk stare in wonder. The Queen has scarcely been seen in the days following her husband’s accession, leaving many to wonder if she still lives.
Here she stands, in the flesh, walking about them like a commoner. “Where is Aegon?” She finds Ser Criston, keeping pace beside his horse.
“You mustn’t be about, your grace. It is not safe.”
“Where is my husband?”
Ser Gwayne looks back toward his fallen nephew, now carried by men.
“No,” Y/N shakes her head, falling in line with the oversized box one might mistake for a casket. She can’t see much of anything through the slats.
“You must return to the castle, my Queen.” Cole circles back for her. “His Grace will need you at his side.”
“He’s alive?” Y/N breathes.
“When last I checked.”
She nods, remaining beside her husband as he is carted into the castle, up the stairs to his chambers. The maesters await him, peeling away armor and bits of charred flesh with it, to reveal the extent of his injuries.
“Is my son going to die?” Alicent asks.
“He is badly burned.” The maester informs the Queen dowager.
“Men survive burns.” Y/N says, holding a hand to her belly, attempting to quell the churning.
“He has many broken bones.”
“Bones heal.”
The grand maester sighs, “that is our hope, your grace.”
What lies beneath his breastplate is naught but more red, angry skin, or lack there of. Alicent comes round to Y/N, a rare occasion, resting a hand on her shoulder. “Mayhaps it is best you step away.”
“I will stay,” Y/N shakes her head, “if anything happens… I must stay.” Hold his hand as he goes, if it comes to it.
Alicent nods, withdrawing.
Aegon’s breathing is something awful. Men survive burns. Bones heal.
An eternity passes in that room, on bated breath. Eventually the maesters begin clearing out, leaving the King to mutter, incoherently.
“Your grace.” The grand maester turns to Y/N. “It is done.”
“Thank you, Grand Maester. For all you have done, I- I owe you a debt.”
The man takes her hand, “we can only do so much to aid in the king’s healing, I believe it is you he needs. Be his strength.”
Y/N nods, “of course.” She makes herself comfortable upon the mattress beside him as the doors close, giving them a moment alone.
Aegon’s mumblings grow louder, though still impossible to make sense of.
“Shhh,” Y/N hushes him, brushing hair from his face. “There is nothing to fear. You need only…get better for me. I will tend the council shortly, but I shall return.”
He quiets then, as though her gentle reassurance is all he wanted.
“I will not abandon you. Not now, not ever. Rest easy, my love. You are safe now.” She presses a kiss to his forehead, before taking the stairs down to join the small council.
Those sitting around the table are already in deep discussion, gaping at the Queen’s entrance, standing to greet her.
“So kind of you to wait for me, my lords.” Y/N smiles, taking her ball from the center.
“We thought you might be with his grace, the king.” The hand explains. “He will be expecting you when he wakes.”
“I am not sure he will ever wake.” The grand maester cuts in. “His fate lies with the gods now.”
“Give it time.” Y/N sniffs, “it has been mere hours since his return.”
“If Aegon could wake, he would have done so for you.” Alicent decides. “A king cannot rule in his sleep, we must appoint a regent to serve in his absence.”
“I am awake.” Y/N reminds them.
“My Queen,” Tyland Lannister interjects, “if I may be so bold. Your lord husband has been wounded in battle, he will need your tender hand if we hope him to make any sort of recovery.”
“That is very thoughtful of you, Lord Tyland.” Y/N replies, in a measured tone. Should she lose her head before the council, there will be no coming back from it. “Still, I am willing and able to rule.”
“In the event of his grace’s untimely death, we must be prepared to proceed with the succession.”
“Understandably, and we do not lack heirs. My husband and I have four children.” Y/N shifts in her chair. “Assuming, as you have, that the men of the realm will never accept a woman on the throne, we then pass the crown to our first born son.” To charm the snakes, you must behave as a snake.
The council looks to each other. “Prince Laenor is but two years of age, our next ruling king, by law; though too young to presently serve.”
“I will advise him, I am his mother.”
Alicent rises from her seat, “might I humbly suggest myself? I have already done so during my late husband’s long illness-”
“Which was fine then?” Y/N arches a brow, “a wife to rule in her husband’s absence.”
Alicent lowers her gaze. “This is different.”
“Because I am your enemy’s daughter and named heir,” Y/N huffs. “Rules for thee, not for me. Isn’t that right?”
“Mind yourself.”
“Or what?” Y/N lifts a shoulder, “you will usurp my husband, as you did my mother?”
“Viserys changed his mind.” Alicent says, with finality. “I am sorry for what’s happened, but with his dying breath, he wished for Aegon to be king. I pray you do not hear a similar whisper from your husband anytime soon.”
“I love my husband,” Y/N seethes, “let that be known.”
“Of course, my Queen.”
“Whatever the members of this council intend to do now will be spoken plainly, in my presence.” Y/N demands, staring down at her wedding ring.
“I believe it is in our best interest to appoint Prince Aemond as Regent, until our King has been restored.” Ser Criston announces, “as hand, I know the king’s greatest concern is the safety and well being of his wife and children. We must honor that, in these unprecedented times.”
Y/N swallows, “very well.”
“My Queen.” Aemond reaches past her for the council ball, abandoned by her husband.
————————————————————————
Y/N goes through the motions, putting their children to bed. All is well, my darlings. Father needs only rest. When they have each found sleep, she returns to Aegon. Speaking to him the same way she always has, as though he can hear.
“The men of the council are restless in your absence. They circle like vultures now,” Y/N chokes out, touching the unmarred skin of his face. “And I am alone in this….I have never been alone.”
If she knew no better, she could swear his fingers twitch against hers. Mayhaps she is gripping them too tightly. She releases his hand, much to Aegon’s dismay, grumbling his discontent.
“Hush now, I am here and you are here. The rest will sort,” Y/N reminds him.
She watches him then, the heaving rise and fall of his chest, wrapped in bandages. Men survive burns. Bones heal.
In time, Alicent joins her at Aegon’s side. “Has there been any change?”
“No,” Y/N shakes her head.
“You are kind to be here, he loves nothing in the world as he loves you. I am sure your presence alone is a comfort to him.”
“That is my hope,” Y/N admits.
“I will leave you to it.” Alicent offers a hint of a smile, making for the door.
“Mummy.”
Y/N hears it, his mother does not. “Alicent,” she calls her back.
Alicent flicks away tears before turning round, “what is it?”
“He’s asking for you.”
“F-for me?”
Y/N nods, giving his hand a squeeze.
Alicent returns to his bedside, passing a hand over the side of his face. “I’m here.”
He draws in a rattling breath, “protect her.” Aegon stumbles over the words. “Please, Mummy.”
Y/N inhales sharply, hushing him.
Alicent locks eyes with her daughter by law. I pray you do not hear a similar whisper from your husband anytime soon. “I will do this, for you, Aegon. You needn’t worry.”
Aegon says nothing else, succumbing to sleep once more.
Alicent excuses herself, with a nod.
Y/N muffles the sound of her cries in the hand which isn’t holding his. She’s only half awake by the time she hears footfall and whispering at the end of her husband’s bed.
“Was it worth the price?” Helaena asks.
“I’ve no idea what you mean, my darling.” Aemond mutters, brushing his lips against her cheek.

Rules to Request
You can feel the tightness of your evening attire wrapped around the slopes of your curves, with the long thick fabric that overlaps the bodice of your dress downwards. You stayed as still as you could when your ladies dressed you with much attentive eyes. Hands everywhere from the collar to the soles of your feet.
One of your ladies braid your silky silver hair loose but neatly, perfecting your looks for such occasions. One being the arrival of your uncle, the rider of the biggest dragon in all the realms, Aemond. You can feel the loud thumping of your heart against your ribcage, albeit constricted by the tight layers of your attire, it does not deter your nervousness.
Not only is his arrival would have significance on the chess play of the throne of the dragons, but it would bear you consequences that you, in fact, are unable to escape this fate. The fate you have little to say against. The near last wish of the king to betroth you to unite the two sides of the Targaryen blood. Marriage of dragon and dragon, hoping to conceal the gaping wound left by Viserys decisions.
Neither your mother nor your father can truly save you now as you have made your decision to choose your destiny to try and serve the realm the only way you know how. The rising tension and possible bloodshed of cousins and nieces are no longer needed, you had hoped, if you agree to this arrangement. You have no other choice than to take his hand in marriage, even if it means that you have to sacrifice your own freedom and the ambiguous name of the true heir.
You have yet to set your feelings for the rider of Vhagar, he is not only an enigma to you but, more so, a mystery that you are both eager yet scared to fully unveil. There is a part of you know that there is a darkness that surrounds his being like no other, as your brothers have always told you. However, if you are to take his hand in marriage, you would have to force yourself to see the light in him, as you wished for the Seven to guide you in your unprecedented path.
“Princess, pardon me but Her Grace, Queen Alicent has requested your presence at the gate, for Prince Aemond’s arrival.”
At once your shoulder straightened as you breathe out a heavy sigh, pulled out of your heavy thoughts by one of the servants. You smiled, and replied with a gentle “Of course, Lyana. I am to be done and head there right away.”
Closing your eyes briefly, you gathered your thoughts, and silently prayed to not only the Seven but to all old Gods of Valyria to gain you strength and will to overcome this behemoth of a challenge that is to be bestowed upon you in a matter of minutes. Opening your eyes again, you begin to shuffle your way out of the mighty wooden door, and off to your journey just outside of the Red Keep, on the gates overlooking Rhaenys Hill.
You’re accompanied by the two of your ladies as well as your trusted guard as you make your way down the castle. You can see in the distance the few people including the Queen, that has already stood patiently waiting for Prince Aemond’s arrival. You blushed as the foot of your dress sweep gracefully onto the stones below, your heart raced with anticipation of meeting your soon-to-be husband.
“Your Grace.”
You curtsied as you approached Queen Alicent, a sign of greeting and respect you have for the mother of the alleged battling heir to the throne. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you smiled as she gently touches your arm. Her smile is soft, casted as genuine, however, you can clearly see the tightness in them.
Alicent has always spared you more content than to others directly of your mother’s blood, your obedience to the crown, realm, and dedication to the Seven, helped her to overcome the dreaded raging crossfire between the two apparent heirs. Your demur soft upbringing, contented her enough to welcome you in a hug, albeit fabricated with quarrel.
“Princess, it is a delight for all of us to be blessed by your presence, in honor of the Prince, of course.” She replied, your lips set into a thin smile, as you bowed your head to Princess Helaena. Unlike to her brothers or your step aunt’s entourages, you have a knit bond with Helaena, having to endure the chaos of the brooding conflict in the throne, you both shared the same wish to cultivate what was once a peaceful reign and put an end to the family’s misery. You watched attentively as she rubbed her swollen belly, knowing full well the usurper successor of your mother’s rightful throne cradled in the form of the babe inside her body. Your eyes fleetingly meet hers as you continued to smile.
“As it was a delight for me to procure your request of my presence, Your Grace. I am of honored to be here for the Prince’s arrival.”
Alicent patted your arm one more time before you both overlook the land of King’s Landing, with the view of the Narrow Sea dances in your eyes. You were always amazed by the beauty of the realm, the blue greyish skies are your scenery, especially when you have the opportunity to ride on your dragon’s back. Oh how you wished you could just fly away to Dragonstone right about now and see your family again. Alas that too is wishful thinking.
You were suddenly halted of your longing when the sound of the bellowing of mighty Vhagar came to light, your eyes drifted to the source of such powerful force, as the silhouette of one of the greatest beast come into view. You admired her majestic wings from afar, eyes squinted at her fierceness, biting through the wind and seamlessly breaking through the clouds. As the dragon got closer to the Hill of Rhaenys, just outside the Dragonpit, you could also make out the rider of said beast.
Prince Aemond Targaryen.
Even from miles away from the ground, one would not miss the way he fiercely ride the biggest dragon alive known in all seven realms, a dragon he conquered to be his own, the dragon that came to him not when he was born yet when he was in his biggest pit of despair. Vhagar’s bond with her rider is as strong as ever, just like when she roamed the skies with Queen Visenya Targaryen once during Aegon the Conquerer’s reign.
You could make out the shadow of his being as he landed on Rhaenys Hill ever so smoothly, dismounting from the beast before patting her and giving her to the dragon keepers. You hissed in pain as you finally realized that you have been clenching your hand too tightly in front of you.
“Seven heavens dear, are you alright?”
You can hear the soft gasps, and murmurs around you, noticing how you clutched your fingertips together. You have not noticed the entire time that you had been so nervous, it numbed the pain of your even dull fingernails on the palm of your dainty hands.
“Gods.” You exclaimed feeling your palm stings, Queen Alicent noticed the whole thing, her eyebrows furrowed in worry, so did Princess Helaena. “Princess, may I accompany back to the keep? so we can clean your hands” Said Haelena softly, in which you find yourself grateful for.
A nod and curtsy came from you as you lower your head in shame, “I apologize Your Grace, My Princess, for I have unable to assuage my pain. May I please be excused to clean up?” Your voice is in the teetering edge of whimper, eyes too humiliated to stare into Alicent or Helaena’s eyes. If you could summon your dragon here and then, you would and fly away with her so you don’t ever have to come back to Kings Landing but the luck of the Seven was never truly behind you since the start.
“Very well, Princess. Please see to it that the maester is make aware of her condition, and let her heal properly.” Alicent replied sternly, her voice laced with bitter shame covered with fantom worries, and she encouraged Helaena to accompany you, stressing that it would not be much fuss that neither of you would be there to greet the one eyed Prince.
You curtsied once more, before turning away from the looks of all the ladies and lords that have awaited for the Prince’s arrival. You tried to drawn out the murmurs in the background as your hem of your dress shuffled across the cobblestone, making your way back inside the keep.
Haelena was patient as she accompanied you to the Maester’s healing chamber, making small comments so that they are well aware of your little incident. The blush on your cheeks has yet to subside nor does the pounding in your chest. The bodice strangling you from the outside, as your own fear strangled you from within.
“Niece, however are you feeling? has the pain subsided?”
You were pulled out of your thoughts by the soft ringing of Helaena’s voice, your mind eased a little hearing her, she is a soothing presence in the midst of your confusion. You may live in King’s Landing, however your soul have always been with your family, home is wherever they were, and that was Dragonstone. How you so badly wanted to be there.
“No need to be worrisome, muñus. By the will of the gods, I shall be fine. It was just my foolish mistake. I should have been more careful.” Aunt.
The last words that left your mouth were that of a whimper, small plea you made to yourself. A plea that you knew would save yourself and possibly the realm had you not make the same reckless mistake over and over again. Helaena whom has been pestering over the healers, sit down besides you. She might be your aunt by bloodline, but she is also closer to your age, knows the burden you carry with the looming threat of the crack in the lair of the dragons.
“Dare I ask what is occupying your mind, dear?”
There is a tinge of pleasant playfulness in her voice that didn’t fail to make you tilt your head and chuckled. Sighing, “None of the matter, My Princess, it is merely a big day for us all.” You looked straight into her eyes as you replied, knowing full well she would understand what does big day entailed.
“Jorrāeliarzys, a fierce dragon such as yourself need not be worry of any apprehension.”
She clicked her tongue at you like a mother scolding their child, you feel comforted by the warmth she displayed to you knowing full well all of this heap was due to her own brother’s arrival upon the keep. Aegon himself has not been able to sleep peacefully since he catches the news of his brother’s wind in Kings Landing.
“Thank you, Helaena. I shall pray that the Prince arrives at the gates safely—“
Your moment was cut short however when you both heard the huge door opening, revealing the two guards that stood in front. Your breath hitched slightly, when you took upon notice the presence whom have entered the healing chambers.
“Brother, welcome.” You quickly took back your hand as soon as the maester was done wrapping it up in a soft silk cloth, concealing your earlier omission from him. Your eyes had not dared to look into his, instead focusing them on the ground beneath your feet as the brother and sister embraced each other in front of you.
Had you not looked away, you would have seen that Aemond’s eyes have certainly never wavered from your presence, his attention was on you as soon as he arrived to the gates. Blood boiling with fury as he had heard what had happened to you. It was supposed to be a happy day, at the very least for him, as it is the day he was going to set eyes again on you. His future wife. The queen to his soon to be realm, the one whom he will fight for.
His eyes has yet to set ashore from your slightly trembling body, it only darted towards your enclasped hands in front of you. “Do you wish to retire to your chambers? you have had a long day on Vhagar’s back.” You can hear Haelena’s voice ring, you wanted so much to greet him as you are accustomed to, however you found your lips to be very hesitant. No sound came out.
“I shall retire later, sister. I wish to see the princess first as I have been made aware of her conditions.”
The smooth sound of his thick voice caresses you softly, yet it leaves a rough grip on its awakening, just like dragon scales. You tilted your head slightly, finally looking at him as you have been sought after.
“My Prince.” Your voice finally escaped your lips, breathing a shaky breath as your eyes locked with his. “Welcome back, the keep has not been the same without your presence.” You smiled gently, lips pressed into a thin line— there is so much resistance coming from you and he knows it.
Aemond then stepped forward, standing in front of you. You felt his dominating figure as he towered over yours, making you swallow the bile in your throat. Your breath, however, hitched in your throat as he tenderly brings your hands upwards, bending over a little to place a lingering kiss atop of the cloth covered skin. “How severely does it hurt, My Princess?”
Shivers come washing down on you when you felt his lips ever so gently grazes your skin, even through the cloth you can feel his warm breath, his attentive touch and words releases a bit of pressure off your shoulders. But you must not let your guard down as you are still standing in front of a man that has caused way too many mishaps for your house. The threatening presence to the house destruction, yet, all of that just gravitated yourself closer to him.
“It barely hurts… All is well, My Prince—“ You replied eyes darting between his patchless eye, and to Helaena behind him whom watching this whole encounter with a smile, “I apologize to have caused you much trouble upon your arrival day, for I swear to the Seven, I did not mean it.”
You can hear Aemond clicks his tongue in front of you, clearly unamused to you apologizing for something that causes you terrible pain. After all you are to be his wife, he would always protect you even if it meant from your own self. “By all the realms, you have no need to apologize-“ He tilted his head in what you can only take as a menacing smug gesture with a grin.
“I’ll take your hand in marriage in less than a moon time, and soon your hand would cradle my babe, I am merely seeking to even give you a new hand, if My Princess ever so wishes for one. Hm, ñuhys jorrāeliarzy?” My beloved.
That pulled a hefty gasp out of you, your hands that were still in his grasp turned so cold. Although it is not a new matter that the King and Queen has betrothed you both, it still feels like you’re reverted to how you are a shy maiden, not nearly as experienced as he was in anything. You have your mother’s wit as well as fierceness, your father’s attitude yet you always find yourself in another dichotomy altogether where you’re more demure than those of your siblings characters, Jacaerys is a wise leader, so as your other brothers, you— you are something else. Never wish for any power yet contented to defending your own.
“I suppose so, My Prince. However you needn’t to worry. I shall be fine by the time moonlight arrives.” You replied with trying hard to keep up with his intense eye contact. It was difficult for you to not drown in his lilac eyes, his silver hair, perfectly sculpted jaw, and even more domineering stance. You have wished sometimes that the Gods would just damn you in the Grand Sept for your lewd thoughts.
“Very well, little dragon. I shall see you during supper tonight, for I can not wait to have a feast.” The last words may not he spoken loudly as his lips were truly beside your ears, however, you can hear it as it was meant to be heard by you only. Your cheeks could not contain the warmth that rises to its surface, only spreading further down your neck— flustered and hot everywhere when the back of his nimble fingers grazes your cheeks twice.
“Whatever do you mean by—“
“We shall meet again, Princess.” With a tentative smirk and a chuckle, he put down your hand and left as he was never there, with his own clasped behind his back striding out of the healing chambers. Your mouth still agape as to what he meant, your heart raced as your body burned with desire. You can only wish to be spared tonight, as you wanted to keep your virtue until you wed.
—
The gold ring glimmered under the light of fire within your chambers, you keep twirling your hand to get a glimpse of the engraved Valyrian words across the ring itself. Byka zaldrīzes. The writings wrote, there is a small ruby gem on the top, adorned with small scales to imitate that of your dragon’s— Silverwing. Aemond had given this to you few moons ago, when the Queen and small council have decided to betroth you both. It is “A token for our betrothal, to remind you that I have promised in the name of the Seven and all Gods to solely devote myself to you.” He had said. Little dragon.
Your heart fluttered at the thought, even when everyone deemed him the cold even sometimes heartless prince, he had shown you slivers of his tender nature. You of course knew of what transpired during his childhood, you knew of his torment, and his tormentors— you were there to witness by your ears, always trying to comfort him afterwards out of goodwill. The memory of it all remained fresh in your memories. After the death of your younger brother, Lucerys, both side of the throne were cold as ice, sharp as Blackfyre— alas you too would fly to Dragonstone if not for the binding vows of the betrothal your mother had arranged when you were a mere child.
You see, you were supposed to marry Aegon, the usurper soon to be king, however that came short when she decided to wed Aegon with Helaena instead, and reconcile the betrothal the deal, with binding you to Aemond, instead. At the time you knew the reason why she were to wed Aegon because Alicent disapprove of your twin brother Jacaerys for his lack of Valyrian blood, or so Alicent claimed.
You, however, was spared of the thoughts considering you were born with silver hair, striking that of your twin brother— mayhaps the reason why you were so fragile as a child, the Maester thought once that you could not have made it far to adulthood let alone reach your 15th name day. Your hand might be taken by a man you do not wish to wed out of loyalty to your mother but perhaps, unable to escape, this is the best possible outcome you could possibly get.
Letting out a sigh, you smoothen the red and gold dress you’re wearing, the sheer fabric on the sleeve of your arms are giving you room to breathe despite the tightness of your attire. Few strands of your silver locks tied in a braid behind your head, whilst the rest flowed down your shoulders freely. The most beautiful maiden in the realm, the ladies often said. You admired yourself in the mirror, before hearing the door knock.
“Forgive me, Princess, but Her Grace, the Princes, and Princess have all waited for you in the dining hall.”
“Thank you, Lyana. I shall depart right away.”
Taking a deep breath, you shuffled your way out your chambers and into the dining hall. Two guards were stationed in front of the giant door, you nodded your head before they opened it. Taking a sight to your views, you can see the familiar faces of the Queen, your uncles and aunt. It seem that there is only five of you present, with one babe cradled inside Helaena.
“Your Grace, My Princes, and Princess.” You curtsied and bow your head before making your way inside. You locked eyes with that of Aemond’s, his lips curled into a grin as he set eyes on your beauty, before settling on the ring adorning your finger. You can also feel the heated gaze of Aegon interlocking between you and Aemond, Gods, you hope there will be no quarrel tonight between the two.
“Niece, it is a pleasure to be graced by your company again.” Came the voice of Prince Aegon with a smirk, already looking halfway intoxicated by the wine perched on his silver glass. “As it is mine, Your Highness.” you sat down on the chair, smiling at your hosts. “For I can see that my brother is assured to be… joyous.” Aegon chirped, you didn’t miss the glares Aemond threw his way.
“Has the remedy by the Maester treat your hand well, Princess?” Helaena asked you before giving his brother a chance to refute, you were thankful for her quick response. Darting to your palm, recognizing the piece of cloth it is still wrapped in. Trying not to grimace of your earlier humiliation, you just nodded your head, “Yes Princess, I cannot seldom express more of my gratitude for your kindness. It is treating very well.”
“That is a very good news indeed, now we shall feast on the supper.” Queen Alicent smiled at you, looking as uncomfortable with the brooding tension of her own sons— gesturing to the table in front of you. “How was the trip, Prince Aemond?” You tenderly tried to slice yourself a piece of roasted duck, only to hiss with the ever looming pain, sighing, you heard a click of the tongue belonging to none other than your betrothed.
“Allow me, niece.” Aemond voice cut through the silence as he offered to slice your meal for you. Warmth feels your cheeks once more as you pass your knife to him so he can cut it.
“Thank you, uncle.”
“It was pleasant enough, Vhagar was restless as she had to fly during a hailstorm, however, the journey felt too long knowing what awaits me in King’s Landing.”
The implication of his words made you look around, seeing his brother, the very man that threatens your mother’s throne snickered and with a huge grin adorning his face.
“My my, you have grown, brother, I did not know you could be so… feeble.” He swings his now empty cup so the servants can pour more wine inside. You inhaled sharply at his comment, knowing what awaits.
Shocks were thrown around the room as suddenly, the knife in the hand of your betrothed—belonging to you, are raised upon the soon to be Usurper’s King direction.
“I can and will have your tongue for that.” The air around you is thick with tension, “Aemond!” his mother gasped, a rivalry of heir successors that you have rarely seen in Dragonstone between your siblings, yet appear to be so common now in the grand pillars of the Keep.
“Enough—“
“You could do well try, if you can get past my guards, weakling.”
“Still hiding behind your guards? you are no man, merely a boy sent to be a fake king.” Aemond jabs, standing at his full height now— knife right against his brother’s neck. The clanking sound of the knight’s armor can be heard.
“and I still fuck my whores better than you do, brother.”
Next thing you heard was the loud banging of your knife on Aemond’s hands carved deep inside the table, he had stood up in a rage of fury, if looks could kill, Aegon Targaryen would be 12 feet under by now.
“I said enough!” You have in rare occasions see Queen Alicent be this mad even when her sons drove her crazy, let alone hear her voice this loud. The staring feast between Aegon and Aemond lasted even after the Queen told them to cut it off, looking at Helaena whom seem to be uncomfortable by the situation, you clear your throat and placed a soft hand gently on the back of Aemond’s shoulder.
“My Prince, perhaps I can show you, around the Keep? it has been long after all since you last set foot here.” You tried to keep yourself composed.
You carefully thread your words so neither brothers or queen for that matter, would raise the growing tension ever more. You bravely looked towards Aemond’s piercing stare at his drunken brother. A pregnant pause followed suit, before Aemond let out a scoff and turned around.
The screeching sound of his chair was loud in the silence that cut through the hall, he began walking away as you threw a curtsy before the Queen, and scurried after him outside the hall.
“Prince Aemond, please wait.” You tug the midway of your silk dress so you can follow his pace but he walked with as much rage as he did before. Slender and tall figure scurrying away. Hearing no reply coming from him, you let out a sound akin to a desperate whine.
“Dear will you please— Ah!”
You suddenly feel your back pressed against one of the walls inside the small hall not far from where the bed chambers were located. The walls felt cold to your back, your breathing was loud, so was his. Only then you registered that one of his hands were on your neck, wrapped around your delicate throat with enough pressure to block out some of the air when you inhale. The necklace given by your mother digging through your neck.
“You are quite the woman now, aren’t you, niece?” a teasing chuckle came soon after, “I am intrigued on how you have kept your innocence for all the time I have been gone, hm?” Your eyebrows furrowed.
“W-what does that entail, Aemond?” your lips trembled when you speak of his name, you can feel his knees pressed to open the gap between your thighs— causing you to gasp and widen your soft lilac eyes.
“Still remains a maiden, Princess?” Aemond tilt his head, smiling throughout.
“I— of- of course, what are you so boldly implying?” You were taken aback by his implications, the stinging tears on your eyes are threatening to fall down along with the hoarseness of your voice.
“lykirī, issa jorrāeliarzys—“ scoffing in amusement, “I merely wanted to know how hard I can fuck you tonight.” You tried to wiggle away from his hold against your neck only for him to, once more, clicked his tongue at you as if you’re a disobedient child, and put his other hand on your waist to steady you against the wall— leaving no space to go. Calm, my love.
“ah ah, do not make a fuss now, sweet one. wouldn’t want to alert the whole castle on the doings of their virtuous Princess, now would we?”
You can feel his nimble fingers caresses the exposed skin of your hunched dress, the silk making way for his touches to graze yours ever so tantalizingly. “I have dreamed of this, —of you like this.” He muttered, “each time you soothed me after your cunt of brothers disrespected me.” you were still much shocked and flustered at his ministrations. Lips moving down to capture your neck, slowly moving down to the column of your now exposed throat.
“Aemond— not here…”
“Hush, dove. Now that you will soon be my wife, I shall have you whenever, wherever, and however I desire to.” His words are muttered against your skin, drawing soft breathy whines from you.
“Aemond, we should n-not… Please…” You tried to reason with him, even when your hips grinds against his pants covered knees— still nudged in the slope of your inner thighs. You felt your clothed bundle of pleasure rubbed ever so slightly against him when he further raised his knee against you. Making you whine in delight and frustration. “Gods! mmh, aem!”
“Seems to me that you wanted this as much as I do, little one.” He teased as he continues his quest, deep kisses left in his wake, “I shall claim you how I see fit, wouldn’t you say so, princess?”
You tried to answer him but only mewls and whimpers escaped out your lips as you continued to grind against his knees, meeting his now fasten pace, and the kisses on the sensitive spot on your neck just below your jaw is making you high. Gods, it feels like you’re set ablaze by thousands of dragon fire.
“Asked you a question, niece.”
“Yes! Gods yes! take me however you desire.” Your resolve has been breached once and for all, for you can not escape how intoxicating his touches are. You have been to wound up with all the realm duties, indulgence is not one for the Princess, however your desire is far too strong to resist your soon-to-be husband.
“You may not be a whore from the common streets, but you are my own, byka zaldrīzes.” Little dragon. “You will know how wrong my brother was after I fucked you.”
“and I still fuck my whores better than you do, brother.” The words exchanged by Aegon now rings on your ear.
Wanton moans escaped your lips as he continued his assault on your neck, he bent down a little to access the hem of your embroidery to push it down— you whined at the loss of his knee on your soaked cunt, “Why’d you st— oh gods!” you threw your head back against the wall at the feeling of his warm lips engulfing your now hardened buds.
“Patience.”
He muttered sharply before suckling on your teats, nipples darkened with blood rushing to them— all plump and Aemond salivated to the thought of them filling up when you, one day, will bear his child—children. “Cannot wait to fill you up, watch you swell with my babe.” He groaned, switching from one buds to the other— left you panting.
“Ah mm! can’t wait— oh! to carry your heir, my Prince…”
Whilst his mouth is preoccupied by your left nipple, his fingers are tweaking your other one, pulling and twisting— making you writhe in pleasure, you are sure that your small garment is soaked by now.
“You will never be able to escape me in our marit—“
You both were pulled from your pool of lust and pleasure when you heard the clanking noises of a knight’s armor rounding the corners of the Red Keep. Your eyes wide as you tried your best to push Aemond away only for him to raised an eyebrow and covered your mouth with his hand.
“Shh, do not make a sound, little one.”
You were about to protest when you felt his other hand trailing up your haunched hem, his feet parting your lets.
“nnh—“ you tried to speak against his hand, but he just let out a scoff and pushed you impossibly deeper to the wall.
“Rȳbās.” Obey.
Pleasure overtook you as Aemond’s fingers pushed aside your garment, fingers came in contact with the flushed slick soaked flesh of your needy cunt. “you are enjoying this.” He shake his head with so much amusement to his gleaming eyes and smirking lips—voice just above a whisper to make sure no one heard him, but if you have to guess, he wouldn’t care if someone catches you anyways.
“Here I though my little Princess is a pious woman, and here she is, with a dripping cunt begging me to fuck her.”
You heard the clanking sound moving away, noises slowly disappearing into the cold night. “I’d rather say you have been wanting me to do this, is that what you mean by showing me around?” He chuckled deeply, feeling your already flustered face, heated more.
You gasped a breath of relief when his hand unclasped your mouth, “N-no. I truly wanted to—“
“No need to lie, zaldrītsos. Your cunt tells me enough.” with that he gave your pearl of pleasure a slap, you jolted with a loud whine “Aemond, fuck!” Little dragon.
Your pleasure was short lived, however, when he wrapped his arm below your knees before pulling you up his shoulder. Hauled you up before strolling down the hall to where the royal apartment quarters sits.
“Put me down, Aemond!”
“Quiet.”
He playfully patted your arse as he make his way to what you presume to be his chamber. You did not get a good look if there were guards stationed outside, as you thought they would be— he is the prince after all, it’s not like he could care less.
Aemond slam the door shut, before he puts you down and you catch your breath.
“Aemond, what was th—mmmh!”
Your complaints were cut short when he pressed his lips against yours in a passionate manner, lips engulfing your own, as his tongue breached past to enter your hot cavern. His free hand move up to grasp your hair in a tight knot as he slowly move you back towards his bed, the back of your thighs hitting the edge.
His tongue continued to explore yours as his hands roam over your body, from your sensitive jugular to your taut breasts, belly and the conjuncture of your thighs. You let out a gasp of relief and shock as he pushed you to the bed.
Aemond wasted to time to flip you over and manhandled you so that you’re face down on the bed, your back in a perfect arch, silver locks flows beautifully— your arse is up in the air, whilst your feet dangled from the edge. Having ripped your evening attire off, you’re left bare. Cunt exposed. Needy, soaked, and desperate for his attention.
“Kostilus…” your begs are mere muffled mewls by now as he stood to admire your beauty. Gods. He has waited for this for a long time. Your betrothal might just be the cure to his raging agony. Please.
You heard a thud—“Oh Gods!” throwing your head back, as his cold fingers gathered your slick and run them along your folds, gently at first. You turn your head slightly to see him only to had your moans halted.
It’s Aemond, but he no longer wears his eye-patch. His sapphire gem shone bright under the moonlight that seeped through the night sky of King’s Landing. His soft lilac eyes gleamed too. You’re enthralled by his beauty, every marks and turns.
“My, my… you’re drenched. Desperate, aren’t we?” He scoffed at your agape mouth, feeling his 2 of his fingers entering your cunt with vigor, you closed your eyes tightly as you clench on him in instinct. “Ah ah, none of that, open them now, dove.”
Your eyes fluttered open as he commanded, “Look at me, Princess—“ you did with your eyes droopy and sinful lips parted in shallow breaths, “In less than a moon time, you shall find yourself in this situation, each night in our marital bed, ñuhys ābrazȳrys.” it delighted you, and heated the fire in your core to hear his devotion. My wife.
“Y-yes husband.”
Aemond groaned as he sped up his fingers, squelching noises now aloud bouncing off the walls, “Say it again for me.”
“ahh.. mmh! fuck— I am yours, husband, I promise by the Seven!” His fingers grazed your most sensitive spot, as his palm graze your pearl.
“After I claim you, I’d have anyone’s heads that dared to look at you as I do.” The silken sheets beneath your fingers now creased as you keep on clenching them, “Not that they will ever try, not after you begin to swell.” you arched your back with your toes curled, building release arose inside your belly, “with my seed, my babe, my heir.”
“fuck yes! yes yes! as many as you wish.. please, Aemond!”
“Come for me, little one. I’ll fill you up afterwards.” His free hand tangled itself on your silver locks to yank it back, your body shaking with your high so close, eyes teary with your lips wet, raw, and bitten. Truly a sight reserved only for the Gods.
One more brush of his palm against your pearl simultaneously with his fingers abusing your core, all of it was too much as you let out a silent scream, you came on his fingers.
“Good lord! Aemond…”
“Fuck, princess…” His fingers does not let up, however, and continues its assault inside your now gushing cunt. “You are Gods sent.” He whispered before pulling his fingers out slowly, watching you thrash on the bed, licking his fingers afterward.
“Beats the sweetest Westerosi wines.”
You have no more strength to reply as your legs felt like jelly, however the heat in your cheeks and race of your heart never cease, your eyes blink slowly when you heard the soft clad of his tunic, then followed by his cloth pants fell down the floor.
“Ae—mmh!” Toes curling at the feeling of the flushed hard tip of his cock gliding over your now oversensitive folds, “Ready, little dragon?” he teases the entrance of your weeping cunt as you whined,
“Just put it in— Oh!”
“You—fuck! you are greedy for a maiden.” He slowly thrust his tip inside you making you wince at the intrusion. “Aemond… it hurts…” you closed your eyes briefly for Aemond’s length is not to be messed with… long, width as thick, and curved on the tip. You wish you have more time in the future to admire him fully. “Shh shh, the pain will subside soon, little one, stay with me.”
To ease the pain, his fingers once again found haven on your clit, softly pressing as you jolt in overstimulation, “Mmnh.. please…” your body is writhing in both pain and pleasure, “Hells, you’re so tight.” He grunted, pushing inch by inch as your cunt accommodates his size, before pushing it in one thrust.
Your back arched deeply as your mouth agape, loud mewls and moans escapes them on a rapid rate, as you sure the guards will be able to hear by now. His free hand let go of your hand and move to place them on the slope of your hips before moving to pull almost every inch of his length, then slams it back down to the hilt.
“You f-fill me up so much, my prince.” Moans are now freely came out of your lips, as he continued his unrelenting pace, thrusts that are deep as well as it is hard, giving you no chance to catch your breath. You felt like you are flying with your dragon, its that high pleasure that are like no other. “and I shall do— fuck, again and again to ensure my seeds take.”
Though composed, you can hear his breathing shallower than usual, his thrusts are erratic yet remains a choking pace on you. Your fingers grasp the sheets so tightly, you’d have no excuse if the maids found it shred the next day. “My prince—“
“Close?” he can feel your cunt tightening, and holding a vice grip to his cock, the clench made him lose his mind. Gods, he’d stay inside of you all day if you let him, “I’d rather spend my life inside you than to deal with my cunt of a brother.”
“and… and i’d let you.” your voice are jagged, as your body thrown forward and backward following his pace, cock filling your walls— you can feel every vein and ridge, making their indents known to claim you. “What an obedient little wife you’d be.” he muttered with vigor, his hips never relenting to stop, always reaching your spot.
“Only for you, my—oh! my prince!” your peak is nearing, you can feel it so does he, fastening the fingers on your clit, “Come for me, little one. Do it.” He encouraged you, he leaned down and kissed your shoulder tenderly, “Avy jorrālean, zaldrītsos.” I love you, little dragon.
“Av— aaah oh gods!” you threw your head back, back arching and, “Aemond!” you peak, coming from him harder than the last, body slumping to the sheets as your high took over. “Please… please, fill me up. put your h—heir inside of me.” You begged with the last ounce of your strength.
Your cunt clenching on his length so tight that he is so close to reaching his own release, “Gonna put a babe in you, gonna— fuck! watch you swell over and over again.” He groaned loudly, feeling himself getting lost on you, in you.
“Avy jorrālean.” You half whine and whispered, “fuck!” Aemond releases inside you, coming with his seed pumping you full, whispering your name over and over again, against the skin of your neck. I love you.
You both panted, he held your now full belly in his palm before sliding out of you gently— his actions so soft and light, a striking contrast to his earlier ministration. “Oh.. Princess..” He cooed tenderly at you when he flipped you over and look to where you’ve separated, eyes focusing on your mixed fluids. “stop looking its—“
“Ah ah, shush, little dragon. let me take care of you.” He kissed your lips once more before placing a soft pillow beneath your head.
There and then you knew that you might not marry the kindest man, nor the man you dream of in all seven realms, however, you knew in your lonely despair, being wed to Aemond would satisfy your affections. Soon thereafter, you marry and in less than a moon time your belly began to swell, and you can only wish to raise the babe with your husband in a safe unbroken house.

To Protect And Adore - Aegon II Targaryen
Word Count: 1219
Summary: Queen nor a Princess shall threaten an unborn child, should they? Most surely not if it's the king's child.
The dragonfire flickered and danced in the hearth, casting long shadows across the walls of the Red Keep.
You sat in the dim light, your hands protectively cradling your swollen belly.
The child within you was a secret you had kept for as long as possible, but the inevitable truth could no longer be hidden.
You were with Aegon's child, a fact that could change many lives.
Aegon Targaryen, the king, had taken you as his mistress at the time when his marriage to Helaena had been strained and loveless.
You were no noblewoman, but your beauty and grace had caught the eye of the dragon king.
What began as a passionate affair soon deepened into something more, and now, you carried the heir to the throne within you.
But with Helaena's tragic death, the court was rife with intrigue and whispers.
Power was up for grabs, and the position of queen was vacant.
As you sat in the quiet of your chambers, a knock at the door disrupted your thoughts.
Before you could respond, the door swung open and Alicent Hightower swept into the room.
Her face was a mask of cold fury.
"Y/n," she began, her voice cutting through the silence like a knife. "You should not have allowed this to happen."
You rose to your feet, your heart pounding in your chest. "Your Grace," you said, bowing your head slightly. "I did not intend for any of this."
Alicent's eyes narrowed. "Yet here we are. You are carrying my son's child, a bastard that will only bring disgrace and scandal to this house."
You felt a surge of protectiveness for your unborn child. "He is Aegon's son, and nothing will change that."
Alicent stepped closer, her expression growing darker. "You are a fool if you think I will permit this child to live. There are ways to deal with such inconveniences."
Fear gripped you, but you stood your ground. "You would not dare harm your grandchild."
Alicent's smile was chilling. "You underestimate me. If you value your life and that of your child, you will leave and never return."
Tears welled in your eyes, but you refused to show weakness. "Aegon will protect us. He loves me, and he will not stand for this."
Alicent laughed, a cold, bitter sound.
"Aegon is weak. He is ruled by his desires, not his mind. But you are correct about one thing, he will protect you, at least for now. But even he cannot disobey me forever."
With that, Alicent turned and swept out of the room, leaving you trembling and alone.
You knew you had to tell Aegon, but fear for his reaction and what it might cost him stayed in your hand for a moment.
You could not put it off any longer.
The next morning, you went to his chambers.
Aegon was lounging on his bed, a goblet of wine in his hand.
His violet eyes lit up when he saw you, but his smile faded when he saw your expression.
"What is it?" he asked, setting the goblet aside and rising to his feet.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself.
"Aegon, I need to tell you something. Your mother... she threatened me and our child. She told me to leave or she would... she would see to it that our child did not survive."
Aegon's face darkened with fury. "She said that? To you?"
You nodded, tears spilling down your cheeks. "I am frightened, Aegon. I do not know what to do."
Aegon's hands clenched into fists, and he turned away, pacing the room like a caged animal.
"She has gone too far this time," he muttered. "I will not let her harm you or our child."
He strode towards the door, and you hurried after him. "Aegon, please, do not do anything rash. She is your mother."
He turned to you, his eyes blazing. "She may be my mother, but she has overstepped her limits. No one threatens my family. No one."
With that, he stormed out of the room, leaving you to follow in his wake.
You found Alicent in the throne room, deep in conversation with one of her advisors.
She looked up, startled, as Aegon burst in.
"Aegon, what is the meaning of this?" she demanded, rising to her feet.
Aegon strode up to her, his face a mask of fury. "You threatened y/n and our child," he said, his voice low and dangerous.
"You think you can control me, manipulate me, but you are mistaken. I will not let you hurt them."
Alicent's eyes flashed with anger. "I am your mother, and I know what is best for this kingdom. That child is a threat to everything we have created."
Aegon took a step closer, pressing a finger to his mother's chest. "You do not get to decide who lives and who dies. I am the king, and I will protect those I love. If you ever threaten y/n or our child again, I will see to it that you are punished for this."
Alicent's face paled. "You would not dare."
Aegon grabbed her arm, his grip firm. "Try me."
For a moment, they stood there, locked in a silent battle of wills.
Then Alicent wrenched her arm free and took a step back, her expression one of fury and disbelief.
"You will regret this, Aegon," she spat. "You are making a mistake."
Aegon shook his head. "The only mistake I made was not standing up to you sooner. Y/n is carrying my child, and I will marry her. She will be queen, and our child will be the heir to the throne."
Alicent's eyes widened with shock. "You cannot be serious. The nobles will never accept her."
Aegon turned to you, who had been standing silently by his side.
He took your hand and looked into your eyes. "I am very serious. I love her, and I will do whatever it takes to protect her and our child."
Your heart swelled with love and gratitude.
Despite the fear and uncertainty, you knew you would face whatever came together.
Aegon was willing to fight his mother, and risk everything, for your love and your child.
Alicent stood there, her face a mask of fury and disbelief. "You are a fool, Aegon. This will be your undoing."
Aegon turned back to her, his expression hard. "If protecting my family is my undoing, then so be it. I will not be a puppet for you to bear. This is my decision, and it is final."
With that, he led you out of the throne room, leaving Alicent to fume in silence.
As you walked down the corridors of the Red Keep, Aegon squeezed your hand.
"Do not worry," he said softly. "I will keep you safe. No one will harm you or our child."
You nodded, tears of relief streaming down your face. "I know. I trust you."
Together, you faced the uncertain future, your love and determination stronger than ever.
Despite the challenges and dangers ahead, you knew you could overcome anything as long as you were together.
Aegon's promise to protect his family was a vow that would never be broken, and your love would become the foundation of a new era for the Targaryen dynasty.

𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅
Pairing: Alicent Hightower x reader
Word Count: 691
Warnings: Sex toys, face sitting, fingering, swearing, mentions of spanking, age gap, kinda toxic relationships
A/N: All characters are 18+! minors DNI
Thank you @starogeorgina for helping me come up with this fic and for beta reading as well
Posting a one-shot for now, but I do love the idea of this fic and will be making multiple parts for it!

Alicent was a twisted woman.
She enjoys toying with you, knowing that you would harass yourself for days at a time trying not to break one of her invisible rules. At the start of the war, you were sent to court to marry one of the former queen's sons; with her only daughter dead by taking her life, Alicent now had three to choose from.
Aegon, her eldest, was either known as king or usurper, depending on where your loyalties were. Her second eldest, Prince Aemond, was known as a kinslayer, and her youngest son, Prince Daeron, was known for his kindness, or so his uncle Gwayne said.
You had subtly expressed your preference for it to be Daeron, but Alicent was yet to pick; instead, she was keeping you close as her whore.
It started off with her staring at you a little longer than necessary, small touches, and fleeting glances at your breasts and behind.
Then it progressed.
If your dress was too low-cut, Alicent would pinch your nipples as punishment and then kiss them better. If you acted too ‘flirtatious’ with someone at court, she would spank your ass until it was raw, and if your cunt was dripping with arousal, she would put her fingers inside you as punishment to prove how sinful you are. If you talked out of turn, you’d spend the majority of the night with your head buried between Alicent’s thighs, devouring her cunt.
Even now, as you take the full length of the curved toy placed between her legs, the thick strap-on that parts your slick folds so perfectly, she would find a way to make it seem like a punishment, an act that was necessary.
A soft moan escapes your lips. The more you move your hips, the deeper the toy goes inside you. Once you’ve found a comfortable rhythm and picked up the pace, you pin Alicent’s hands above her head while continuing to bounce up and down, enjoying the way her breasts sway. Although she was older, Alicent still had an innocent beauty complemented by her soft features. Her long red curls, dark brown eyes and pouty lips… you wished to kiss her every day.
“Oh, gods.
The vibrations from the strap-on put pressure on your clit as you ride it, making your orgasm come fast and hard. After you climax, you position yourself above Alicent’s face, lowering your dripping wet pussy over her mouth. She immediately begins lapping at your juices, swirling her tongue around your sensitive clit.
“I need to feel more of you.” You let go of Alicent’s wrist and reposition yourself so that you’re still sitting on her face but are facing the opposite way.
Alicent resumes tasting you with her skilled tongue, causing you to squirm on her face. Reaching down, you start to massage her breasts. When she moans into your pussy, your fingers trail lower, teasing along her inner thighs before you slip them into her wet cunt.
Alicent’s muffled cries of pleasure vibrating through your core as she chases her own release beneath you.
—
Sighing, Alicent tenderly brushes hair out of your face as you cup one breast in your hand, kneading it gently before leaning down to take the nipple into your mouth. You suck on it slowly, swirling your tongue around the hardened peak while using your other hand to massage her other breast.
There’s a sadness in her voice as she says, “This can’t happen again.”
She says this every time, and then you repeat the same routine a few nights later.
Your saliva glistens on her breast when you let it fall from your mouth. “It is wrong for us to be like this, your grace, but I’m unsure we can stay apart for long.”
Sounds of pleasure pass Alicent’s lips as you continue to massage her breast, your thumb tracing over her nipple. Her thighs press together.
“Do not deny it, my queen; you’ve delayed making a choice because you want me for yourself.”
She runs the pad of her thumb over your cheek, “You will soon be my daughter-in-law; it is twisted.”
“As are we.”

Hii, could you write a Yandere Jacaerys Velaryon with a Targaryen reader? (the reader is Viserys and Alicent's daughter)

YANDERE JACAERYS VELARYON X TARGERYAN READER
🌊 you were the second daughter to alicent Hightower born after aemond . Alicent often spoiled you since unlike your other siblings you were close to normal. Normal in being that you didn’t cause trouble or rumours.
🌊your half sister rhaenyra had brought up the discussion of your betrothal to the small council. Alicent desperately tried to keep you away from your half sister and her plain featured sons however failed to do so and as a way to repair the family you and your nephew jacaerys would wed on your sixteenth name day.
🌊jacaerys wanted a marriage full of love and trust so he tried to find out everything about you. however he didn’t know was doing this would cause him to fall into a pit of infatuation.
🌊his obsession grew quickly and just as quickly as it came the stronger it grew. He began to become possessive demanding that as his future bride you should only be around him and no others since they could taint you. He even brought it up to the council staring alicent in the eyes as he said “I would not want my future bride to be tainted by I’ll willed men and bastards” leaving alicent in a fit of rage . As she knew and everyone knew who the true bastards where in king’s landing.he was left successful so you are no longer around any others other then him and your mother…
🌊he forces you to wear red all green is burned in your wardrobe.
🌊anyone dares look at you will be fed to vermax under suspicious circumstances that they had somehow made there way to the dragon pit and went to see a dragon.( they didn’t jacaerys forced them to go down there and vermax feeling his riders feelings did as he was told ).
🌊as soon as you are married he takes you to dragon stone there you can only have his company he doesn’t allow you to have maids he says “I can’t trust them with you you far to important to me “.
🌊he wants an heir really bad so he gets to work if you can’t have a child for some reason he blames it on your mother and the greens .
🌊he does spoil you loads by giving you jewels and trin keys that you may not need but looks gorgeous.
🌊if you have a dragon he will not allow you to ride it he will only allow you to ride with him on his dragon.
🌊if for whatever reason you have to go in public he showers you in pda and I mean SHOWERS you.
🌊when the dance of dragons begins he is frustrated and the news of his brothers death just adds to it . He will be furious and throw tantrums and will say things like “your lucky little star I got you out of there when I did !” And “now can you see why I must keep you here in this room those ignorant usurpers are traitors and would’ve tainted you without a single thought… I saved you “
🌊he will guilt trip you and manipulate you with every trick in the book until your truly obedient for him don’t get me wrong though he will 100% be loyal to you and anything you wish is yours there are only two rules :
1. Stay with him
2. Don’t ever try and leave him.

The third wife of rhaenyra targaryen.|| rhaenyra targaryen x black!fem reader
In the five years since Queen Rhaenyra The Conqueror, Bringer of New Valyria, triumphed over the usurper without losing a single dragon, the realm is at peace. Having no need of husbands and taking two other wives, Queen Alicent and Queen Mysaria, the dragon queen is in need of a third and final wife to rule the seven kingdoms at her side.
You were just a girl from nowhere, watching the sky fill with dragons at peace, destined to be a scullery maid in a vicious household and the future wife of a ratcatcher until fate and blood decide your future for you.
History will remember Rhaenyra Targaryen as the great unifier, the second coming of Visenya Targaryen who brought another golden age of dragons out of war. But they will sing songs of you, the smallfolk who ascended to fire and blood as the queen’s favorite, the one they tried to kill so many times, the third wife of rhaenyra targaryen.
Some notes: Aegon, Aemond, and Daemon are dead but their dragons were saved, Alicent and Haelena were sent to Oldtown, and Otto Hightower and Criston Cole spontaneously combusted, I don’t know what to tell yall. Luke lived, Jaehaerys lived, Baela and Rhaena are happy goddammit.
Some other notes: This is dark, Rhaenyra is in her Paul Atreides era, and I drew some inspiration from Cinderella and Hurrem Sultan (the fictional representation of her from the show's magnificent century but nobody I know watches that show). Rhaenyra is in her thirties and reader is in her twenties.
Trigger warnings for violence, murder, abuse. MINORS DNI
This is a rough teaser chapter to see if there’s any interest in this fic so if you like it please reblog it or leave a comment! Feedback is how I write :)
Chapter One: the fate of a flea.
“I heard she fed her husband to Syrax!”
“I heard she burned the last two wives!”
“She's going to choose me, there’s no doubting that.”
“ Yeah, to be her cupbearer!”
You tried to block out the chatter of your employer and her daughters and concentrate on mending one of their hems, but each bump from your place on the floor of the rickety carriage, made it near impossible.
“Hurry up Flea, we’re almost there!” One of the daughters said, her slipper meeting your ribs to make you go faster but you dared not complain.
You would have been there an hour ago but the decision to take the carriage was not your own. You would have much preferred to watch the dragons arrive with your mother in the market, far from the crowds that propelled them towards The Red Keep.
You needed the coin and being some rich lady’s maid who couldn’t afford the proper ones with training but could afford you instead kept good bread on the table.
Or at least it did.
The Lady hadn’t paid you in two weeks.
“Remember to smile when you’re presented before the Queen, smile and be silent. Perhaps if you do well, she’ll want two wives instead of one and we’ll never have to rewear a gown again. New gowns and maids who actually know what they’re doing.” The Lady said and you didn’t have to lift your gaze to know she was staring at you.
“Don’t worry Flea, you’ll have a place in the dragon queen’s court. We’ll put in a good word with the ratcatcher!”
All three of them exploded with laughter at that and when the carriage came to a sudden stop you were too happy to watch them slide all over the carriage.
“I’m sorry mistress, this is as far as I can go.” The driver said.
The daughters adjusted themselves before leaving the carriage, ignoring their mother’s calls to wait for her,
It was now or never.
“My lady, I need to speak with you.”
“You’ll stay in the carriage, the queen need not see you.” The Lady said, starting to move towards the door.
“My lady, you have not paid me. I have waited and waited and happily assisted with all the preparations but I cannot go home without coin today. Please, my mother needs me, I’ll take half if you have that right now but we have no more bread.” You said quietly but firmly.
“You haven’t earned your pay for the full day yet so we’ll discuss this no further.”
“My lady, my mother is-
“Your mother will have to make do as the rest of the smallfolk do. Perhaps she can have that bowl of brown I always hear about. I’m sure she’ll-
You’re not quite sure what happened next but it ended with The Lady dead on the carriage floor, her neck at an odd angle, face bloody and concaved.
You sank to the floor beside your dead employer, your fearful cries went unheard as the sound of Syrax’s roar filled the air around King’s Landing.
Queen Rhaenyra had arrived.
Her daughters would see you dead for this, your mother would starve, your life was lost.
Unless it wasn’t.
As luck or the gods would have it, The Lady bled into her own hair and not a single drop had spilled on the crimson colored gown.
It seems you have time to finish the hems after all.
“You stand before Queen Rhaenyra of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Princess of Dragonstone, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lady of The Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Bringer of New Valyria. Why should you sit by her side?”
The same question had been asked of every lady in front of you who entered the throne room and each dismissed moments later either by Princess Rhaenys, the Hand of The Queen or Queen Rhaenyra herself. You could not bring yourself to look at the queen each time the doors opened and closed, a single glance in her direction would bring you to further ruin.
Both The Lady’s daughters could not see you but you could see them each leave the throne room in tears.
A chance to be queen would not be the only thing they would mourn today.
The doors opened and you found yourself escorted into the throne room.
You looked at the dragon queen in all her beauty and might upon the Iron Throne and instantly it all became clear.
You would not leave this room in tears.
“I wish to be anointed.”
the story continues here.

#father’s son
Baelon who is far too inappropriate with his affections for the Red Keep’s standards. He’s used to lavishing his wife with touches and long, heavy kisses back home, never having to worry for the cares of others. He enjoys squeezing his wife’s hips and round ass when she bends over to pick up his son, and often strokes her hair absentmindedly. His pretty wife loves his affections and always giggles at his touches. Except now he’s in the Red Keep and Alicent seems to stare at him each time he kisses his wife. She loves the boy like a son but his constant affection is improper in her eyes. He had his wife up on his desk once, still in his chambers, when the Maester came to check on a still small Aenar. The Maester was shocked by the scene he walked in to - even more so when Baelon kept trying to kiss his wife as he worked on the other side of the room, later reporting to Alicent. It was Otto who later had to discuss the incident with Baelon, advising him on the views on public displays of affection in the keep. Baelon is so grumpy for the rest of the stay, though he is 100% caught breaking the rules still when he just can’t help himself.
!!!!!!!
Baelon pouting after being told off by Otto before scowling. He still hovers around his wife thank you very much and presses soft kisses to her neck as a feast continues around them.
His hands moving up and down her sides as they sway to the music

rhaegon ch 1
Unfortunately for Alicent, Aegon loved his big sister.
An AU where Rhaenyra leaves shortly after the hunt to travel Westeros on Syrax. Her visits, now and then, are the brightest spots in Aegon's life.
Unfortunately for Alicent, Aegon loved his big sister.
She was scared to leave them alone together. Rhaenyra's eyes would thin into slits whenever they settled on Aegon, much like Syrax's right before she unhinged her jaw to rain fire. She didn't even try to hide her contempt. He was just a baby, yet it did not seem to matter. He was a boy, and that was enough.
The hunt was disastrous. Rhaenyra came back all bloodied, but before the king could scold her she rushed straight to Alicent and Aegon. Alicent did not want to hand him over to her, not with her tracks of dried blood and matted locks, iron stinking the air. Aegon would cry, she was sure of it. But her boy looked up with wide eyes and raised his little fists towards Rhaenyra.
"Let me hold him," she said urgently. "I need to see."
She held him awkwardly, and Alicent had to help her shift the boy onto her hip. Rhaenyra closed her eyes and rested her forehead against his hair, inhaled deeply. He smelled just like Baelon, she thought. She could cry.
Aegon giggled and played with her hair. Rhaenyra caught one pudgy little wrist and squeezed. She turned her back to shield Aegon from her father's view and cupped his cheek. Just the two of them. He was made just for her. She lowered her finger to the rabbit heart pulse on his neck and pressed her nail in.
The boy stopped and looked up at her but did not cry. She kept pressing harder, wondering if she could break skin. Alicent saw and felt her heart drop. She couldn't. She wouldn't. Not here. She lurched towards them but before she could push Rhaenyra's hand away, Aegon's laugh bubbled up. He turned his head downwards and kissed Rhaenyra's wrist.
She let go immediately, shocked.
He kicked his feet, playful, almost as if daring her to do it again.
Rhaenyra thrusted him back into his mother's arms. She had to leave. She had to get out of here. King Viserys called for her, ready to spout some sentimental drivel about family but she was out of earshot now. It didn't matter anymore.
Alicent gripped Aegon ever tighter to herself. Her thumb worried over the half-moon Rhaenyra left on her son's red, red neck. Her father caught her eye over Visery's shoulder and the nod he sent her seemed to seal her fate and everyone else's. She felt her stomach drop.
-
Rhaenyra had to leave. That day sealed it. There was no place for her in King's Landing. The offers her suitors brought her seemed more like compensation for her loss in title rather than anything real that could further her claim for the throne. A pathetic farce. She was heir, was this what she was reduced to?
"If I am to rule, I have to see the realm I rule over myself," she said to her father. It wasn't a request. Not when they were at the Dragonpit, with Syrax fully saddled and ready to be mounted.
King Viserys knew this day would come. He was heartbroken, but relieved, for this war between him and his daughter would soon come to an end. He couldn't handle the pressure from his councilors anymore, nor bear another venomous argument with her. At least this way it could be covered as diplomacy and she'd be out of his hair. At least this way there was a chance she'd still answer his letters.
"Go, my only daughter. Do what you must. I give you my blessing," he said. And for the first time since Aemma died, she ran to him with a hug. Of course he cried. They both did.
--
On the other side of the Red Keep, Alicent bounced Aegon on her knee. The boy was strangely sullen today. Rhaenyra had came by last night to say goodbye, had smiled like she used to when Alicent cried for her to stay, and reassured her that this was for the best. Rhaenyra had looked at her and harkened back to the days when they were girls and talked of adventure. Her words dripped with warmth and nostalgia, childhood promises fulfilled, but Alicent couldn't help notice that by moonlight her teeth almost looked sharp. She thought of that day with Aegon, and gods forgive her she hoped something tragic would befall Rhaenyra on her travels so she wouldn't have to think about any of this anymore.
Suddenly a figure blotted through the skyline.
Aegon started to wail.

Rsa vs Nrc
Riddle vs Alex ( twst Alice Leddle )
Crewel daughter and Riddle are together in town and talking about something they both can relate, as in art and history and Crewel stay closed to Riddle
Malleus + Disomia vs Price Phillips ( twst of that price from sleeping beauty)
Crewel daughter invited Malleus and his friends/bodyguards as she needs help as she have a client of a foreign land to asked to restore agroot ( decorative gargoyle) and needed his help on stone materials that are uncommonly used and she feels very uncomfortable around the human prince for obvious reasons
Idia vs Heracles ( twst of Heracles)
Crewel daughter and Idia are getting some new video games to play together ( legs say Crewle daughter is a secretly a gamer and otaku because y not? ) And she is off putting with Idia cousin and prefer to hangout with the recluse as he's more interesting to be around
RSA vs NRC w/ Crewel Daughter | Yandere Twisted Wonderland
Riddle Rosehearts vs Alix Lidwelle
“As the rules state: on the designated day we shall be in attendance of the latest additions of Art in all of Twisted Wonderland.”
“And as the rules state: on the designated day we will devote are time to one another and our enjoyment to Art!”
This is the closest Riddle equates to being a fan of anything
Its one thing to have a textbook based knowledge on images
Than to be with (Y/n) Crewel as she tilts her head at world renowned paintings
“Based.”
“Based? Why?”
“I don’t like the vibe I’m getting.”
There was nothing he loved more than looking at art with you
So much so that he even made it a rule that you two travel to different art museums together
If anything this was his day
That is until he sealed the deal…but until then this a thing
Our thing
Now its almost ruined when the blonde comes skipping in you two’s direction
“What’ya guys doing?”
He can explain or rather you can since the student isn’t even looking at him to answer
“We are carrying out a tradition that we have done for years.”
“Tradition? That sounds..kindof boring? But you can join me for some tea if you want a break at least.”
“Tea but it isn’t even ti-”
“Come on (Y/n)!! Besides why would you want to follow the rules on a lovely day like this?”
HOW DARE HE!?
If his respect for the arts and your non reaction he would have lit the blonde on fire
Better yet behead that arrogant, stupid, idiotic–
“No. I enjoy traditions and its a shame you don’t seem to respect that.”
“W-what?!”
“Come on Riddle we have seven hours left on our ticket. Let’s not waste anymore time.”
“I agree.”
Riddle delights in the red that over takes Alix’s cheeks
And the stomping feet as he prepares to throw a tantrum
The prefect sticks a tongue out from behind your back
Smirking as he offers his arm
“Shall we commence on our adventure on the designated day?”
“As the rules state it, we shall.”
Malleus Draconia vs Prince Paul w/ Restoration Crewel Daughter Reader
You are quieter soul
Opting to work in the silence as you restore and refurbish antiques
That’s probably why you get nervous about accepting a job at the Royal Sword Academy
So you bring support
And who better than the one fae who enjoys gargoyles and you+
So you’ll invite him with you and he’s glowing with happiness
An invitation!
From his beloved no less
You selfishly are quite grateful that he’s a people deterrent
Able to work on your work in peace
That is until Paul comes
“The sound of such lovely sounds!”
“W-what?”
“Ah, and a beauty is the maker! You’ve entranced me with your sounds–”
“Sir, I don’t really–”
“But alas I have yet to introduce myself! Woe is me! The me being Paul Phillip, it has been to long since I–”
“Oh and your just going to keep talking, great.”
But leave it to your resident guard dragon to swoop in and save you
“Ah the Prince of Briar Valley what a surprise to see you here!”
“My matefriend is uncomfortable with your presence.”
“But she hasn’t-”
“Go now.”
Be sure to convince him not to go full dragon on him
Smile and thank him
And he’s happy
Gargoyles, (Y/n), crushing his rivals, and courting (Y/n)
Its all the great and good times
Now you know you can trust him to protect you
Lilia says that will be enough to proves you
Aww and he was looking forward to deliver a blooody head
Idia Shroud vs Huckman
You’re no gamer
But your naturally skilled at everything you touch
A perfect accessory to Idia’s high-level for multikills
“You have three hours to beat the level, Idia don’t waste it shuddering in the corner.”
“Y-Y-YES MISTRESS!”
Once he gets in his groove your plowing through
And since your actually lasor focused on the game
You don’t notice the way he focuses on your features
Just inches away the lips he’d dreamed of being graced with touch at the very least was so close
If he could just pretend to–
SLAM
“Whoops sorry cousin about your door.”
“Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!”
“Quiet! I’m nearly there!”
He’ll play possum as his cousin insistently shakes him
“Hey i know your not actually dead. Idia? Idia?”
Its you that intervenes making his heart go: Doki doki!
“Retriever boy leave for now I’ll deal with you later. I need him in peak condition for the next hour I’ve granted him.”
He snaps to your side immediately
Keeping his eyes glued to the screen as his cousin let’s himself out
"T-thanks!"
Now which tech-terror will he send to make sure ‘later’ never happens

Courted by the Dragon
Chapter 2 - A Court of Sharks and Dances
Aemond Targaryen is both the cause and witness to the greatest humiliation of your life. You would rather die than see him again. Yet summer at court and the precipice of civil war have other ideas.
Masterlist
~~~
Several weeks after your meeting with Aemond, a raven arrived at Storm's End, inviting your family to spend the summer in Kings Landing at the bequest of Queen Alicent.
The letter marked an unexpected turn of events for the Baratheon family who had never been favoured by the Queen and, though you were quietly suspicious of Aemond’s involvement, you couldn’t be certain.
Either way, your father certainly was pleased by the request. Spending the next month boring you all with the rules on how he expected you to behave at court and how it was high time his three eldest daughters found a suitable husband.
You, on the other hand, were more concerned by how this invitation would lead you straight into the dragon's den and path of the very man you’d been trying to avoid.
Vhagar had been spotted more than a handful of times gliding over the bay these past few weeks, and you had certainly not ventured down to the beach in all that time. No, you had hardly left the castle walls, and mortification had stuck to your skin like a blemish only you could see.
So, when the time arrived for you to leave for Kings Landing, you were not in high spirits. Not that your family noticed. Too busy with their own thoughts on the power and position which could be gained from a friendship with the crown, they barely listened when you feigned illness or tried to make excuses to grant you leave from the journey.
Afterall, refusing such an invite would be akin to madness. No, in your mother's opinion, nothing could make a girl feel better than a summer of opulence and splendour in the Red Keep.
Jousting, dancing, feasts and handsome young knights. The upcoming festivities should have been the stuff of dreams for an unmarried high-born lady such as yourself. But you were descending into what felt like the beginnings of your own personal hell.
Unlike your sister Cassandra, you were not accomplished in music or the arts. Nor were you fun and vibrant like Maris, who was always the epitome of charm and wit.
Defiant and sour was how Septa Orella had often described you and that was on the days when you’d tried your best to behave like a lady instead of muddying your dresses. Though you were older now, you supposed not much had changed since then. If it had, Aemond would not have caught you splashing in the waves like a naughty child.
But it was too late to do anything about that now. Aemond had seen you that day and, if Septa Orella was still alive, you were certain she would have enjoyed knowing you were finally getting your comeuppance. Not that you would have dared to tell her your reasons for wanting to avoid Kings Landing. That was a secret you hoped to take to the grave, yet you had the terrible suspicion it would soon be revealed for all to hear.
It took over a week for your family's carriage to finally make its way through the bronze gates of the Red Keep. You supposed this moment was inevitable, yet it still came as quite a shock, your nerves frayed, your stomach churning. The only comfort was the cover of darkness and the late hour which provided you one last night before you had to face the other courtiers and, of course, Aemond .
You were met by a servant who had been standing by for your arrival, and he escorted you all to a suite of well-appointed chambers which had been readied for your stay. You even had your own room. A large four poster bed commanding its centre, curtained with heavy green brocades which matched the sumptuous quilt and feather pillows. On the nightstand, there was a stack of leather-bound books, and the window was furnished with a velvet chaise on which to read them.
Everything was perfect, and you would be quite comfortable here if it wasn’t for the gnawing dread which squeezed your insides every time you thought of a certain dragon prince. And there was no remedy for that . Only resignation, though you did not want to accept the idea of actually having to see Aemond until he was standing right in front of you.
In the morning, breakfast was brought to your family's chambers on gilded trays along with a roll of parchment which summoned you all for an audience with the Queen.
Again, you tried to make an excuse which would allow you to stay behind, but Borros Baratheon had no interest in the complaints of a daughter. So, when breakfast was cleared away, your stomach only filled with nerves, you had no choice but to follow your family into the Red Keeps imposing hall.
You were announced, one by one. Your father, mother, Cassandra, Maris and then you. All presented to Queen Alicent who seemed as uninterested in your arrival as her son, Prince Aegon, who was standing by her side.
Princess Helaena, however, was very excited by the appearance of three young ladies and was quick to greet you all. Without having to ask, she explained that Aemond was not in Kings Landing at present.
He was hunting with Vhagar in Dorne and, though the thought of him racing through the sky on dragon back made you shiver, you were suddenly free, and a whole world of opportunity seemed to open up before you.
Perhaps you would not see Aemond at all, what an enticing thought that was, even if you knew it wasn’t true. Still, you would not see him for a while and that felt like long enough.
When you were allowed to leave the great hall, you joined Helaena and your sisters for a stroll in the rose garden and you were surprised by its beauty.
Roses clambered and sprawled for as far and wide as the eye could see. Every shade of pink imaginable punctuated by froths of lavender and bright purple spears of salvia. It smelled divine and hummed with the buzz of a thousand bumble bees.
Accompanying you through the turns of the garden were a gaggle of wealthy suitors, who were like sharks in the water at the smell of fresh young blood. Yet even they did not deter from the roses.
You’d brought a book from your room to allow you an excuse to avoid eye contact with Aemond. Now you had every intention of reading it under the shade of a good tree, but Tyland Lannister had other ideas.
“May I join you, Lady Baratheon?” he asked gallantly, sweeping his long golden cape over his shoulder as he knelt on the grass before you.
Though much older than yourself and of no interest to you personally, he was master of ships and favoured by the royal family, so you had no choice but to smile and say, “of course, My Lord.”
He sat a little too close, his expectant eyes waiting for you to entertain him with small talk and flattery as young ladies are trained to do. But you were not as well-bred as your sisters, nor did you have any interest in the men at court.
You held his stare, your fingers quietly itching to open your book, but he was not deterred.
“I trust your journey here was pleasant?” he said.
“As pleasant as can be expected, my Lord.”
“And you find your quarters here to be suitable?”
“Indeed.”
“That is good. Will your family be attending the dance this evening?”
“I believe so.”
He smiled, satisfied and not at all deterred by your clipped, formal answers. In fact, the conversation continued like that for quite some time. Even when you made haste to escape from the shade of the tree in favour of the sun. Lord Lannister took it upon himself to escort you around the grounds with a keen interest in everything you had to say, and he was not the only one.
After a while, you were joined by Lord Karstark and Ser Harrold, all three of them vying for your attention in a manner you were wholly unaccustomed to. Your fathers banner men would never be so bold in their pursuit of his daughters, and you had never been outside the boundary of the Stormlands before now.
You were relieved when your mother finally called you to tea and disheartened some hours later when it was time for the feast and the first of the summer dances.
Still, you had no choice in the matter, though you would rather stay in your room and make good use of the chaise and your stack of books. It wasn’t just Aemond you wanted to avoid; it was court. It didn’t seem to call to you like it did to Maris and you envied her excitement and her gown.
Hers was new, the prettiest shade of sage green velvet while yours was honey yellow silk. You loathed yellow. But that was the price of being a third daughter. It had been a beautiful dress on Cassandra, now it was too old and unstylish for the eldest of the Baratheon girls.
You had complained of such maltreatments when you were younger. But your mother had always said ‘your face was your bauble’, and it had meant as little to you now as it did then.
The saving grace was your shoes, and they were beautiful indeed. Black velvet pumps which Cassandra had painstakingly embroidered with dainty flowers and vines while hers were plain.
So, deciding to at least try to enjoy the evening, you entered the hall, which was bursting with life and vibrance and, when it came time to dance, you were certainly not without partners.
In fact, you were spoiled for choice though Tyland Lannister seemed determined to commandeer your hand at every opportunity. If you were to be honest with yourself, you enjoyed the attention, and the twists and turns of each dance with greater pleasure than you’d hoped to achieve. The music was merry, and the elderflower wine drank like sugar syrup before swirling happily in your veins.
And that’s how it was for almost two weeks at court. Fun and Frivolity.
After the first few days, you’d almost forgotten the reason you didn't want to come here in the first place. You enjoyed all the lazy afternoons in the garden and looked forward to the evening entertainment with as much excitement as your sisters.
Ser Harrold, a knight of the realm and the second son to his father’s modest estate, had quickly become your favourite dance partner. Though your hand was still very much pursued by the master of ships. So much so, that your father had begun to imagine Tyland Lannister might even propose. An idea which gave you a new dread in the pit of your stomach.
So that night, some thirteen days after your arrival in King’s Landing, it was Tyland's attention which you were trying to avoid. So preoccupied with evading his advances, you couldn’t be certain just how long Aemond Targaryen had been witness to the whole scene. Only that when you noticed him, lurking in the shadows at the edges of the room, you could hardly look away.
The wine had begun to make you feel as light as a feather, but Aemond’s presence seemed to ground you to the floor like a boulder. The dance no longer feeling as merry and Ser Harrold’s arms becoming little more than a prison for Aemond’s scrutiny.
When had he returned?
Why did he look at you like that?
When the dance with Ser Harrold was finally over, you said ‘goodnight’ and retreated to your room without sharing a single word with another soul and certainly not the dragon prince.
Then in an act of self-indulgent madness, you tried to fool yourself into thinking he might have forgotten all about that day at the beach. Or at least forgotten the finer details, yet you could remember them all.
The way he had looked at you, the curve of his smile and the soft commanding sound of his voice.
You had never hated someone until then and you hated Aemond Targaryen more than anything.
Why couldn’t he have stayed away?
The next day, the routine was practically the same as every other. Breakfast in your chambers followed by an afternoon in the gardens. Only this time, the men who had been begging for your dances, could barely look you in the eye. Even Lord Lannister had no interest in the usual small talk and left the gardens almost as soon as you arrived.
You couldn’t stop the knot which formed in the pit of your stomach. Or the gnawing realisation, that while all the other young ladies were flirting and laughing with suitors, you were cast aside. A solitary figure in a crowd of couples with only your book to keep you company until it was time for tea, and you were certainly ready for it.
You’d never spent such lonely hours in the company of so many people before, and you were certain it was no coincidence.
Had Aemond told the men at court of your indiscretion?
Would he shame your family for your actions that day on the beach?
What was worse, you had nobody you could ask without risking exposure. No, better to hold your head high and remain as calm and unshaken as possible in the face of utter social annihilation.
Thank you for reading! So many people found this story so quickly which is exciting. I wrote most of this story at the start of last year and I wasn't sure if I was going to publish it but I'm glad I have. Hopefully I'll be able to post another chapter or even two before I return to work and real life in a few days. But what do we think so far? Has Aemond revealed all? Or something else?
"Not much can be said for the couple following years - Queen Alicent gave birth to another son, Prince Aemond in 116 AC. Once again, Princess Rhaenyra's status as heir was questioned, but the King ignored all the whispers at court.
On Driftmark, Prince Daemon wed Lady Laena Velaryon. Many took notice of this, as the wedding followed quickly after the death of his first wife, Rhea Royce. Not even a year has passed and the Rogue Prince found himself a second wife.
His daughter, Princess Daena, stayed shrouded in black for an entire year, following the death of her mother. The once vivacious princess was now a shell of her former self, refusing to eat or drink, barely sleeping, and confining herself to her chambers. Some believe she never truly recovered."
(Fire & Blood, Being a History of the Targaryen Kings of Westeros, by Archmaester Gyldayn)
~
116 AC
During the first two months after her mother's passing (before Rhaenyra's wedding), Daena visited the Eyrie, intending to speak to its ruling Lady, Jeyne Arryn. They discussed her inheritance and her new role as Lady of Runestone.
Daena knew that as Rhea's only child, she was the heir to Runestone and upon her mother's death, she became its new ruler. But there was just one problem. She was Daena Targaryen, not Daena Royce.
She had Royce blood. She was raised at Runestone and knew the castle better than any living soul and the Vale had a special place in her heart. But, she was a dragon. She was fire and blood. She loved her mother's side of the family dearly but, she could never part ways with her last name. She could never imagine herself as anything other than a Targaryen.
That is why she flew to the Eyrie and spent three whole days there, talking with Lady Jeyne for hours. She also reconnected with her distant cousin, Jessamyn Redfort, a 'dear companion' of Lady Jeyne.
~
Following Rhaenyra and Laenor's less-than-perfect wedding, Daena (with the King's permission) relocated to Dragonstone, where she spent most of her time, mourning. There was no way in the Seven Hells she would spend any unnecessary time at King's Landing, for she loathed the city. She also had no desire to go back to Runestone, even though it was her birth-given right and duty.
Ultimately, she settled for Dragonstone, the ancestral home of House Targaryen. Both she and her dragon loved the smoky air and gloomy atmosphere of the island. There, she could sulk in peace, without worrying about what the lords and ladies of the Red Keep would say.
With her, Daena brought Harwin and Hanna. Joy, the older and more outgoing of the two sisters, was married off to Ser Elmo Tully, the heir to Riverrun and the future Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. Initially, Daena was quite sad; she would miss Joy's lively spirit. But on further thought, she realized it would be a good thing to have one of her most trusted friends become the future Lady of Riverrun.
The months she spent on Dragonstone were quiet, peaceful, and healing. On the nearby island of Driftmark, her father and Lady Laena were wedded; not even half a year has passed and her father has already found himself a new wife. It stung Daena, the fact her father was so quickly able to move on from her mother's death as if she never existed. She did not attend their wedding.
But, Lady Laena was kind, beautiful, of pure Valyrian blood, and as of late, a dragon rider. Months before Rhaenyra's wedding, Laena claimed Vhagar, the largest dragon in the world. Vhagar was almost two hundred years old and was one of the three dragons Aegon I used to conquer Westeros. Only a bold spirit could claim such a beast and Laena proved she was worthy of riding the Queen of all dragons.
Harwin didn't know what to make of Dragonstone. The first time he laid his eyes on the island it was hidden by fog and mist, the smell of salt and smoke hitting his nose. The castle itself was a wonder to see; built by the last Valyrians, it was an homage to their once-powerful Empire. It was wholly non-Westerosi. Everything about it was made to honor and glorify dragons.
It was unnerving to live in, to say the least. A grim place, Dragonstone was built with arcane arts, fire, and sorcery. Draconic architecture could be found in every nook and cranny of the castle. Door handles, murals, candles, goblets, chairs, tables, mirrors, wall carvings, statues; the entire castle was shaped like one giant dragon. Harwin did not like the idea of living inside a dragon's belly.
But who was he to disobey his darling Princess?
Speaking of said Princess, she was leaning on one of the many balconies that were perched up on the walls of the castle. She seemed in deep thought, her gaze focused on the roaring sea. She looked so hauntingly beautiful, Harwin thought; her long silver hair was pulled up, and she was shrouded in black as she always was these days. Around her neck, she wore the Valyrian steel necklace her father gifted her.
He stood behind her, slightly to her right, watching, observing her. Her face was expressionless, but he could see so much pain and grief inside her lilac eyes. She drummed her fingers against the stone balcony.
"I wish to walk on the beach." She said quietly.
Harwin looked up at the sky - large, grey clouds were covering up the sun and it looked like it would rain any minute.
"Are you certain, Princess? What if it rains?"
"Then we'll be wet." She stated, turning to face him.
Her once lively face was blank, and Harwin couldn't help but notice how her new way of dressing made her look significantly older than she was. Before he could respond, she walked past him, quickly descending the long flight of stairs.
~
The bottom of her black gown dragged across the wet sand but she paid it no mind. The wind carried a scent of smoke and salt, something she enjoyed immensely. There was a certain coolness to the air which indicated to her it would rain soon. As someone who spent a lot of time high up in the air, she knew the telltale signs of an incoming storm.
"I received a letter from Joy this morning," Harwin said, breaking the silence.
She looked up at him. "You did? What does it say?"
"She says the Tullys are most hospitable and that they take great care of their future Lady."
Daena smiled at the news. She was glad the Tullys were taking good care of her friend.
"There's more," Harwin added and stopped suddenly.
Daena stopped as well, waiting for him to reveal more news.
"She is with child."
Daena was speechless. "That's wonderful! You're going to be an uncle!"
Harwin chuckled. "I suppose I will."
Daena's smile faded. "...I haven't received any letter from her since she moved to Riverrun. I think she's cross with me."
Harwin furrowed his brows. "Why do you think that?"
"Because...I didn't attend her wedding." She mumbled, nervously playing with her necklace.
Harwin chuckled once again. He took hold of her hand, kissing the inside of her wrist. Putting his other hand around her waist, he pulled her closer, their faces inches away. He placed his forehead against hers.
"It is not in my sister's nature to be resentful. It must have slipped her notice once she found out she was pregnant." Harwin said quietly, looking deeply into Daena's eyes. Her pupils were wide, making her eyes appear darker. She placed her other hand on his forearm.
"I- I suppose you are right." She whispered, her eyes falling to his lips.
He smiled at her, nudging his nose against hers, and kissed the side of her head. She sighed in contentment, placing her head onto his breastplate. The cool metal felt nice against her hot skin. He placed many small kisses on top of her head, holding her tightly against his body. He inhaled the scent of her hair - lemon and rose oil.
She felt her heart skipping a beat. Ever since her mother's death, she's been...distant and formal with Harwin, ignoring the way he looked at her, ignoring whenever he called her 'love.' In a way, she was punishing herself, abstaining from his touch, depriving herself of any joy.
Not anymore.
"Kiss me." She pleaded, looking up at him, her eyes full of desperation and desire.
Harwin was taken aback. They haven't had any intimate moments ever since Lady Rhea passed. Daena noticeably distanced herself, and he respected her wishes even though it broke his heart. And now here she was, begging for his love.
"Are you certain?"
Daena tsked and grabbed his head, pulling him down and connecting their lips. He stumbled a bit, not expecting her to react that way. He put his hands on her hips, squeezing her soft flesh. Her fingers were tangled in his dark curls, drawing him closer.
He grabbed the back of her head, deepening the kiss. He gently bit her lower lip, making her gasp in surprise, giving him further access to ravage her mouth. All the little noises she was making were spurring him on and he couldn't help but notice his pants tightening.
"Harwin..." She whined his name and it sent a shiver down his spine.
"The things you do to me, you pretty little thing...You don't even know." He groaned in her ear and the sound went straight to her core, making her clench around nothing. His hot breath made the hairs on her neck stand up.
"But I do...You have ignited a fire in my heart and it burns so sweetly I wish for it to burn forever. I wish for it to consume me whole."
His hold on her hips tightened and it ached slightly, but she didn't dare to move. A low growl left his throat as he inhaled her scent. "Those are dangerous words, little dove."
"I know you feel the same way." She whispered into his ear.
Before he could respond, the sky opened and rain started pouring from the clouds above. To her surprise, he picked her up and ran toward the castle. A gasp escaped her lips upon realizing her feet were off the ground.
For the first time in months, she laughed.
~
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" Hanna screeched as she saw the Princess and her brother enter the castle, sopping wet.
"We were just taking a stroll on the beach," Daena answered innocently as Hanna dragged her toward her chambers.
"Quick, Princess! We must change your clothes or you'll get sick." Hanna rambled on as they reached the room's door.
Daena chuckled at her friend's worry. "No need to worry so much, my dear. I'll be fine."
Hanna clicked her tongue and shook her head in disapproval, catching sight of her brother. "You too, Harwin. Go and change."
"Why of course, my Lady," Harwin said with a smirk.
"I'm serious!" Hanna hissed angrily at her big brother.
"Alright Hanna, dear, I'm sure Ser Harwin can take care of himself. Now, come and help me get out of this dress. I'm positively soaked." Daena said, pulling Hanna by her sleeve.
"Congratulations on your sister's pregnancy," Daena muttered as Hanna massaged oils into her skin. The light of the now-waning sun trickled faintly into her bedchamber. The fireplace was lit, warming the room and adding additional light. Daena was ready to retire for the day.
"...You know?" Hanna asked, her voice coated with surprise.
"Harwin told me while we strolled on the beach," Daena said, leaning back in her bathtub.
Hanna stayed quiet.
"What's the matter?" Daena asked.
"Nothing, Princess."
"Hanna. I know you. You've been unusually snappy today. Something's bothering you. Won't you confide in me? I thought we were friends."
"It's just- Joy's pregnancy. It made me think of my own life."
"Yes?"
"I'm afraid Father will soon marry me off."
"Would that be a problem?"
"I-"
A knock on the door interrupted their conversation. Hanna wiped her hands, got up, and went to see who was knocking. Daena could hear the measter's hushed voice. Hanna was back with something in her hands.
"A letter for you Princess. From King's Landing."
A sigh escaped Daena's lips. She perched herself up, picked up a towel from the side of the tub, and wiped her hands. Hanna handed her the letter.
Her eyes went over the lines over and over again. A frown appeared on her face and an agitated groan left her lips. She crumbled the letter and threw it away.
~
The Princess was in a foul mood this morning, Harwin noticed. He could see it in her eyes, in the way her jaw was tense, in the way her brows were furrowed. Instead of talking, she sighed, clicked her tongue, and rolled her eyes at everyone. She was annoyed, dare he say angry.
Why? Harwin didn't know.
They were now in Aegon's Garden - it was filled with tall dark trees, wild roses, and cranberries. It had a pleasant piney smell. Daena sat down on a large bench made of black stone. She patted the seat next to her and Harwin sat down.
She took a deep breath, taking in the scent of all the wildflowers. "This was always my favorite part of the island. I like how quiet and peaceful it is here. I've never felt such tranquility anywhere else."
"... I'm sure you have noticed my less-than-pleasant behavior today. I'm sure you've wondered why that is."
She handed him a crumbled letter. "This is why."
Harwin's brows were furred as he read it. "So, what does this mean?"
Daena sighed, looking down at her feet. "It means that as soon as I finish my mourning, the Queen will try and marry me off to a lord of her choosing. She will whisper in my Uncle's ear, just like her father did. She'll try and convince him it's for my own good."
"I would sooner jump into Vermithor's mouth and let myself get eaten alive than let her control my life."
Harwin smirked. He knew she would do it.
"There is only one course of action I can take." She said, turning to face him.
"And that is?"
"I need to find a husband, by myself."
Harwin's heart skipped a beat at the mention of her marriage. It would be a lie to say he hasn't fantasized about marrying Daena, or at least offering himself as a candidate for her hand. He never verbalized those dreams because he never thought himself worthy of her hand, let alone her love.
"He will be one lucky man, whoever he is." He whispered, looking at a rose bush in the distance.
"Yes, yes he will be." She said pointedly while looking at him. She grabbed his hand once she realized he wouldn't look at her.
"...Princess?" Harwin uttered. He was overwhelmed by the feeling of her warm hands wrapped around his.
"Harwin..." She called teasingly. A wide smile was on her face, a glitter of determination in her eyes.
"You don't mean-"
"You, silly. I'm talking about you. Marry me, Harwin."
He felt like somebody punched him right in the gut, his lungs begging for air. His heart drummed wildly in his chest as he processed her words. Daena Targaryen, daughter of the Rogue Prince, rider of Vermithor, the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, was asking him for his hand in marriage.
"I'm not worthy of you."
Daena did not expect those words to come out of his mouth. Why would he think that?
"Why would you say such a thing?" She asked more harshly than she wanted.
He stayed silent.
"If not you, then who? Who is worthy of my love if not you, my brave knight?" She inquired, her voice softer.
"I-"
"Do you not feel the same way? You...you don't love me?" She finally asked, cutting to the heart of the problem. Her voice cracked, tears welling in her eyes. This was the first time they had a conversation about what they were to each other.
Harwin took note of the uncertainty in her voice and the fear in her eyes; fear that perhaps, she was wrong and he never truly loved her. He needed to put her mind at ease.
He got down on one knee and held her hands.
"There are no words in any language on this earth to describe how I feel about you, how much I adore you. You have...bewitched my heart, body, and soul. Even in my dreams, I could not escape you. Countless nights I have spent thinking about you, praying to every god imaginable, and thanking them that I get to spend my life serving you - my darling Princess, the one who holds my heart.
If you told me right now to fall on my sword, I would. If you told me to throw myself off the Wall, I would. I would kill for you. I would die for you. I would follow you to the ends of the earth. If you banished me and told me to leave your side, I would if it meant you were happy. Gods, I- I never thought this day would come but, will you marry me and be my lawful wife?"
~
She couldn't believe her ears. Or her eyes. She was beyond herself, to say the least.
"Daena?"
Her mouth was dry and her tongue twisted. His words struck a chord in her heart and she felt like it would burst out of her chest from how loudly it was beating. Tears blurred her vision and she could feel his calloused hand wiping them off her face.
"No tears, my love. This is a happy occasion, is it not?"
She only nodded, not trusting her voice. More tears ran down her face as realization of the situation set in her mind. Harwin loved her. He loved her. He asked her to be his wife.
"Come here, beautiful." He said as he pulled her onto his lap. She placed her head on his shoulder, the cold metal of his armor helped calm her down. He brushed his fingers through her silver tresses. He could hear her sniffing and her body shook slightly as she held onto his body tightly.
"Harwin?"
"Yes, Princess?" He asked, looking down at her.
"I love you." She whispered, a little pout on her pink lips.
"I love you too." He whispered back, kissing her softly.
They sat in silence for a while, holding each other and taking in the scent of wild roses. Little birds chirped high above them and the wind whistled. They stayed there until the sun went down and the moon showed its silver face.
Something people argue Rhaenyra should have done to secure the throne that i don't really agree with and reasons:
1. Stay in Kingslanding:
I do think it would help, but she left because her and children were in danger thanks to Alicent, and the green faction. It wasn't uncomum for the heir to live in Dragon Stone, specialy when there not expecting a betrayal. Though, i believe she should have kept someone of her trust there.
2. Become Hand of the King:
She really shouldn't have let Viserys appoint Otto as Hand again, but also don't think she should be appointed. The Hand is truely the most important advisor of the king, and the person who rules when the king can't, Rhaenyrah doesn't have the knowlegde nor the experience to be Hand. As heir she already has space in the counsel, all Viserys had to do was make her part of it, she didn't need that position to be aware of how to rule, she needed her daddy to fucking care for her position.
I think she should have persuade Viserys to appoint Daemon as Hand. Say what you want about him, but Daemon has far more knowlegde and experience than Rhaenyrah, and is devoted to her. He is capable and has their house's interests as priority, he'd be able to keep the greens and Alicent in check.
Or, if don't trust Daemon to not grab the throne, she should've pushed for Corlys. He's her childrens grandpa, has interests in making her queen, and is smart enough to know how to keep the kingdom in check. House Velaryon is one of her best allies, it'd made sense to have the head of it as an advisor.
Also, as being crowned she could keep then as Hand, which would help the transition from her father to her. And give her someone trust worthy in Kingslanding when she was at Dragons Stone, before Viserys died.
3. Made more marriage alliances:
Honestly, i think the fandom puts too much trust in this, and ignores other kinds of alliances. For one, they're not that trust worthy in reality (as seen in the Red and Purple Weddings), there's no telling that House Baretheon wouldn't betray her if Luke married one of the girls. Same goes for other houses. As queen there's whole lot more she can offer than her kids: tittles and land, and money, and whole lot more.
Second, most of her children were really young, we'd have either a child marriage, with no consumation, so annualment was right there, at anytime, or a bethrone, which doesn't mean all that much, it can undone very quickly. Of course it would be proposed by other house, because who doesn't want their blood on the throne, but it wasn't the saving grace for the Blacks as it's made out to be.
I do think marriage between the Targaryen lines could have been usefull, to concentrate the power. Letting outsiders who have interest in taking her throne in would just lead to same Alicent/Hightower drama.
3. Lack of allies:
Most of the great house were with her, she didn't lack support, what she lacked was: presence in Kingslanding, and money. She had armies and men and support and dragons, but you need more that to rule. Having support of some other houses would help, but that didn't stop her from reigning.
(That's it for now :) might think of more and make another post later, sorry for the typos)
Noblewoman
Pairing- Aemond x OC!Elira
One shot / Series
Semi- smut 18+
The night was cold, biting with the winter’s chill. The full moon illuminated the Red Keep, casting long shadows across the stone halls. Aemond Targaryen paced the corridors, his thoughts clouded with the weight of the kingdom and his unyielding desire for a woman who should not be his.
Her name was Elira, a noblewoman who had come to court with the intent to make an advantageous marriage. But somewhere along the way, she had caught his eye—and unlike most who sought his favor, she had seen past his scars, past the myths, and into the heart of the man he was.
Aemond paused at the grand hall’s entrance, his mind racing. He had never known love, only the thirst for power. But Elira—she made him question everything. When she looked at him, her eyes filled with something he had never felt before: acceptance. It was dangerous. So dangerous.
And yet, he could not stop himself.
He knew he should stay away from her, keep his distance as his mother, Queen Alicent, had advised. But it was too late. His heart had already been claimed.
A quiet knock echoed at the door. Aemond stiffened, his breath catching in his throat. He turned and there she was, standing before him—Elira, draped in a gown of deep violet, her raven-black hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. Her eyes, those pools of emerald, met his, and for a moment, the world outside disappeared.
“You’re here,” Aemond murmured, his voice rough with emotion he refused to acknowledge.
“I had to see you,” Elira said, her voice soft but filled with determination. “You’ve been distant, Aemond. I can feel it.”
He stepped forward, closing the space between them. His hand, trembling ever so slightly, reached out to brush a strand of hair from her face. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I’ve been... fighting something I don’t understand.”
Elira tilted her head, studying him with a mixture of curiosity and concern. “You’ve been fighting it because you think it’s wrong. But love, Aemond, love is never wrong.”
Her words pierced him, and for a moment, he wanted nothing more than to hold her, to forget the politics, the war, the scheming. But his duty was a chain, and his heart a prisoner.
“I cannot have you,” he said quietly, his voice tinged with pain. “I have a kingdom to rule. A legacy to uphold.”
“And I cannot simply forget you,” she replied, stepping closer to him. “I would never ask you to choose between me and your duty. But I know you, Aemond. You are not just a prince. You are a man who feels—who loves. You may try to bury it, but you cannot.”
His breath hitched. He had spent so long trying to bury the man within him, the one who craved affection, who craved her. But it was impossible.
“Aemond,” she whispered, her hand reaching for his, her touch gentle but firm. “You don’t have to carry this weight alone. I will stand by you, no matter what.”
Aemond’s gaze darkened, his heart thundering in his chest. He had never been one to give in to vulnerability, never been one to surrender to anyone. But Elira had pierced his defenses in ways no sword or shield ever could.
“Do you truly mean that?” he asked, his voice barely audible.
Elira’s eyes softened, her lips curving into a faint smile. “With all my heart.”
He swallowed hard, his hand tightening around hers as if anchoring himself to her. “Then stay with me, Elira. In this world of fire and blood, let us carve our own path.”
Aemond leaned forward, capturing her lips with his, a kiss that was both fierce and tender. It was a kiss born of longing, of two souls finally meeting in the chaos of their world. As their lips parted, he held her close, their foreheads pressed together, the cold air around them forgotten.
“You’re my fire,” he murmured against her skin.
“And you’re my ice,” she replied softly. “Together, we are unstoppable.”
At that moment, Aemond realized that love was not a weakness but a strength. And in the arms of the woman he loved, he found the courage to face whatever the future held—together.
Aemond’s breath was shallow as he pulled Elira closer, his fingers tangled in the soft fabric of her gown. The cold stone of the Red Keep seemed to fade into nothing as the warmth of her body pressed against his. The distance between them had always been an ocean, full of unspoken desires and the weight of duty, but in this moment, there was no more space. There was only them.
“Elira,” Aemond whispered, his voice rough, strained with the need to be closer, to feel her skin beneath his fingers. “I’ve never—”
Before he could finish, she cut him off, her lips pressing against his with a hunger that matched his own. The kiss was fierce, urgent, as if they both knew the world outside could never understand what they shared in this fleeting moment. Her hands traveled up to his neck, threading through his silvery hair, pulling him deeper into the kiss, as if trying to erase all the barriers that had kept them apart for so long.
He responded with equal fervor, his hands exploring the curve of her waist, his touch almost reverent as he ran his fingers along the line of her spine. Every inch of her was a temptation he could no longer resist. He wanted more—wanted to know every part of her, to taste the sweetness of her skin, to lose himself in the feeling of her.
“Are you sure?” he asked, his voice breaking the kiss, his forehead resting against hers, their breaths mingling in the cold night air. His heart raced, not with fear, but with a desire that he had long kept buried beneath layers of pride and duty.
Elira's eyes were dark, but there was a fire within them that matched his. She didn’t hesitate. “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life,” she whispered back, her voice a seductive promise.
With a growl of desperation, Aemond captured her lips again, deeper this time, his hands moving to lift the delicate fabric of her gown, his touch a gentle intrusion, testing her boundaries. Elira responded in kind, her fingers trailing down the hard line of his chest, brushing against the cool steel of his armor, before moving to unbuckle it.
As the pieces of his armor fell away, Elira traced the scar that ran along his face, her fingers delicate as she leaned in to kiss it. “You’re perfect,” she murmured, her lips brushing against his skin, igniting a thousand fires within him.
The rawness of the moment—the vulnerability, the hunger—was overwhelming. Aemond lifted her effortlessly, carrying her to the bed, their lips never breaking contact. He laid her gently on the soft sheets, his body hovering above hers, his breathing ragged, as he looked down at her with a mixture of reverence and need.
“Elira, I—” The words caught in his throat as she ran her hands down his chest, pushing his tunic off his shoulders. There was no need for more words. No need for explanations. Just the shared understanding between them that, in this moment, nothing else mattered.
She pulled him closer, her body arching against his, and the sensation was electric. Aemond responded, his hands exploring her body with the same reverence he had shown for the throne—protective, possessive, but never rushing. She was his equal, his counterpart, and every part of her felt like a discovery.
Their movements were slow, deliberate, building a tension that left them both gasping, searching for the perfect connection. Each touch, each kiss, was a promise, a vow that this moment would be theirs and theirs alone.
And when they finally came together, it was nothing short of a revelation. There was no turning back, no hesitation. Only the feeling of two souls intertwining, their hearts beating in sync, lost in the heat of their shared passion.
Aemond’s name slipped from her lips in a breathless cry, and that sound—the sound of her surrender—pushed him over the edge. As they both tumbled into a world of fire and ice, there was no past, no future, only the present, and the love that burned brighter than any dragon’s flame.
A Daughter's Dream
Rebecca Ferguson as Cecily Lannister (née Florent)
As sister of the late Alyrie Hightower (née Florent), Cecily comes to the Red Keep after Queen Alicent Hightower dies giving birth to a stillbirth boy. Alicent is survived by one daughter Naerys, who Cecily feels Otto is not a sufficient grandfather to. As the wife of Lord Gerold Lannister, the Warden of the West, many question why she opts to spend her days as a glorified Septa, taking care of her orphaned grandniece.
Lea Seydoux as Naerys Targaryen
Naerys is the only surviving daughter of Queen Alicent Hightower, the second wife of Viserys II Targaryen. She is a quiet girl, at times off-putting. She is interested in stories of the First Men and the arrival of the Andals, ignoring the study of her Targaryen heritage. She often abandons her ladies-in-waiting for the company of her aunt, Cecily, her young maid, Elyse, and her sworn sword, Ser Damon Waters. Barely six and ten, she has been betrothed to Cregan Stark, the widow.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Gerold Lannister
The oldest son of the late Tybolt and Ceira Lannister, he is the current ruling Warden of the West. He chooses to stay in the Casterly Rock, with many members of his family serving the Targaryens, and their whims. He is not as clever nor as cunning as his lady wife. He believes her ambitions, while valuable, should be instead placed within furthering their children, Tybolt and Ceressa Lannister, in the court of Princess Rhaenyra.
Paul Mescal as Damon Waters
Many joke of the Targaryen sisters and their dark-haired sworn swords. Naerys, contrary to this joke however, is far more concerned with her Andal tales and odd porcelain trinkets then men.
A Daughter of Towers
Summary: A lot of things at once for poor Lyanna.
Warnings: cursing? !
PART 5 OMG!
I'LL POST PART 6 VERY SOON LOVEYYSSS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Lyanna Targaryen reached her 16th name day, the Red Keep had become a battlefield of whispers. Though her siblings had fought to keep her future in her own hands, the looming pressure from their mother, Queen Alicent, had begun to suffocate her. With every passing day, the discussion of marrying her to a powerful ally—especially to strengthen their family's claim—became more urgent.
The tides of politics were turning swiftly. With her father, King Viserys, growing weaker, every move made within the family was being scrutinized and every alliance calculated. Still, despite the tension, Lyanna found solace in her dragon, Stormfyre, with him it was peaceful.
---
It had been months since the last formal family gathering, but the announcement of a dinner—one hosted by Viserys in the hopes of healing the division within the family—was met with trepidation from all sides. Rhaenyra had returned from Dragonstone with her sons and her husband Daemon, a move that heightened the sense of unease among the Greens.
The halls of the Red Keep felt colder as the family gathered for the dinner. The long, candle-lit table gleamed with gold and silver plates, but it wasn’t the opulence that caught Lyanna’s attention—it was the silence. The air was thick with tension, each word and gesture laden with unspoken resentments.
Lyanna sat between Aemond and Helaena, her quiet gaze drifting between her brothers and their half-relatives across the table. King Viserys was carried in, his body weakened but his spirit still burning with the hope that his children could unite. It was heartbreaking to see him like this, barely able to walk, yet still clinging to the idea of peace.
As he removed his golden mask to reveal the damaged side of his face, Lyanna could see how much he had aged, how fragile the man who once ruled with strength and wisdom had become. His words, slurred yet passionate, pleaded for unity—his final wish was for his family to set aside their differences.
For a brief moment, it seemed as if his plea might have been heard. Alicent, her voice soft, offered a toast to Rhaenyra, a strained yet genuine gesture of respect. Rhaenyra, in turn, rose to honor Alicent, and for that fleeting moment, Lyanna dared to hope that things might finally change.
But hope, as fleeting as it was, vanished as quickly as it came.
As the dinner progressed, Viserys was carried away, too weak to stay longer. With him gone, the uneasy peace began to unravel. It started with Aegon, his jests crude and his words aimed at Jacaerys, poking at the boy’s honor. But the true breaking point came when Aemond stood, raising his cup with that sharp glint in his eye that Lyanna knew all too well.
“To my nephews,” Aemond began, his voice smooth but dripping with malice. “Jace. Luke. Joffrey. Each of them… handsome, wise, strong.”
The word hung in the air like a dagger, and Lyanna immediately felt the shift in the room. Jacaerys' face flushed with barely restrained anger, while Lucerys stared at Aemond, doe-eyed. The insult was clear: Aemond was calling into question their legitimacy, invoking the rumor that Rhaenyra’s sons were fathered by Harwin Strong, not Laenor Velaryon.
“Aemond,” Lyanna whispered, reaching for his arm, her voice a quiet warning.
Aemond’s gaze flicked to hers for a brief moment, and for a second, she thought he might stop. But her brother’s pride and his long-held grudge over the loss of his eye outweighed any sense of restraint. He raised his cup again, a smirk on his lips. “Let us toast to these three Strong boys.”
The tension snapped. Jacaerys rose from his seat, his fists clenched at his sides. “Say it again,” he growled, the threat in his voice barely veiled.
One moment everyone was in their respective places, the very next moment Aegon had Lucerys against the table meanwhile Jacaerys has punched Aemond, The hall erupted into shouting, each word sharp enough to cut. Lyanna felt the heat of anger radiating from Aemond, his challenge hanging in the air like a threat. Jacaerys’ face turned red with rage reaching over to hold her sisters hand.
Lyanna gripped Helaena’s hand tighter, feeling the tremor of her sister’s nerves. Helaena’s wide eyes reflected the turmoil around them, and for a moment, they shared a silent understanding: they were not warriors; all they could do was watch.
---
The dinner ended in an uneasy truce, with the Blacks leaving the hall first. Rhaenyra’s sons, still seething, were escorted out by their mother, while Daemon lingered for a moment longer, his gaze never leaving Aemond. The promise of violence was clear in his eyes—a silent vow that this conflict was far from over.
Once the hall had emptied, Lyanna remained behind with Aemond, Helaena, and Aegon. The latter had sobered slightly, watching with amusement as the tensions flared around him, but now he leaned back in his chair, muttering about how “family dinners never fail to entertain.”
Lyanna, however, couldn’t shake the heavy feeling in her chest. She knew her brothers well enough to understand that this was only the beginning of something far darker. The animosity between the Greens and the Blacks had been simmering for years, but tonight, it had reached a boiling point.
She found herself wandering the empty corridors of the Red Keep, her mind racing. Helaena’s earlier words echoed in her ears, cryptic as ever: “Fire calls to blood, and shadows grow long.”
Lyanna found herself in the dragon pit, where Stormfyre awaited her. The dragon’s icy blue eyes eyes glowed softly in the dim light, sensing her unease. As she stroked the scales of her dragon’s snout, she felt something of uneasiness.
As the wind howled through the pit, Lyanna looked out over the dragon pit knowing that the peace her father had fought so hard to preserve was slipping away. The Dance of Dragons had begun, and the time for choices was drawing near.
