If people make cutesy posts about growing food and herb spirals and composting but never talk about stuff like preventing and getting rid of rats in a garden, I get this suspision that they either haven't actually gardened much or they're more interested in presenting an aesthetically pleasing image than in actually preparing people to deal with a garden.
sorry that i take forever to respond to comments on ao3 i like to wait a day so that i can soak in all of the delicious validation and then reply to them once my brain has been fueled with enough happiness

[IMAGE ID: The image is a vibrant and colorful illustration featuring a variety of celestial and natural elements. The top left part of the flag includes a spiral galaxy, a planet, and stars, all set against a striped purple to dark blue background. In addition to the celestial objects, there are several green leaves and plants scattered throughout the down part of the image which contains baby green to dark green shades of stripes, adding a touch of nature to the scene. Punz slowly start getting inhuman traits the longer that he is a devout of the Dteam ("Why are my eyes weird?! What did you do!?" "What? That happens naturally to every devout, their Gods' power leaks into them and they get changed" "..." "...Is this not a thing anymore" "NO!!") and he starts getting a lot of dragon like traits, which leaks into the petnames dnn call him
So they will call Punz their "golden guardian" and he will look up at them from where he's literally sitting on the palm of Dream's hand with the most lovesick autistic eyes

Tea seems to invite ritual [... it] is a process. It can't be mindlessly swallowed like a pill or dropped under the tongue on the way out the door like a tincture. It requires us to slow down to the pace of the plants; very slow. To organize materials, touch plants, wait for water to boil, and sip mindfully. In addition to the virtues and blessings of whatever plant allies we may invite into our tea drinking, the act in and of itself is incredibly therapeutic. It is a moving meditation and a ritual of presence.

You know what, just call it what it is. (Hoarding!)
This room is at least one of the less concerning spaces and it’s where the vast majority of my tropicals grow. Many of these plants I’ve had for a good 5+ years, and will likely be getting chopped and shared over time (looking at you, ficus!)
Luckily not finding any new plants I want. (Exceptions can be made for select hoya/fern/aloe/agave, though.) I’m definitely enjoying the plants I do have, and so long as they all get good care without driving me nuts it’s okay.
