You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ | Epilogue
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You, Goose, and Bradley spend a well deserved movie day.
Warnings: All the fluff, being Bradley's mom, kissing, and a little grab ass.
Word Count: 518
A/N: I hope you all enjoyed this series as much as I enjoyed writing it!
《 part 1 || part 2 || part 3 || part 4 》 《 m.list || ao3 》
Tumblr media
You stood over the stove ladling batter onto the hot griddle. Nick came up behind you, grabbing your ass and pulling you closer. “Oh, I’m sorry,” he whispered as he leaned down to press a few gentle kisses onto your neck. “I hate it when it does that…” You couldn’t help the giggle that escaped your lips as you turned to face your husband.
“Momma… Daddy…”
You both turned to the soft voice that came from the hall. Bradley stood peeking through the doorway, his airplane blanket in one hand and a model F14 in the other, attempting to rub the sleep from his eyes even though both hands were occupied.
You turned to each other once more and smiled before running over to him. Goose picked the boy up into his arms and you ruffled his hair. “Good morning, love bug.” You kissed his cheeks, “guess who made pancakes for breakfast?” The boy sprang to life at the word ‘pancakes,’ similar to how his father reacted to the word ‘coffee.’ You couldn’t help but let out a soft giggle before stepping away to grab plates and silverware.
As the three of you wrapped up breakfast you leaned over the table to look at Bradley. “So, lovebug. What should we do with our family day? Go to the beach, the zoo…”
Grabbed the plates from the table before taking them to the sink, “Stay home, cuddle in a pile on the couch, watch some movies…” You let out a small laugh and rolled your eyes at the not-so-subtle suggestion.
Bradley’s eyes lit up at the suggestion, “movie day!”
“All right, movie day it is!” you said with a smile. “How’s about you and I run to the video store and pick something good while daddy washes the dishes.”
“Okay!” Bradley practically ran to his bedroom to drop off his blanket and airplane.
You walked over to your husband and kissed his cheek. “Any requests?”
“Ooh, what’s that new movie that just came out with Schwarzenegger… Kindergarten Cop! That looked kid friendly but also seems a bit actiony!”
“I’m good with anything that’s reruns of the Banana Splits or H.R. Pufnstuf.”
“Oh, common those were great shows!” You rolled your eyes and kissed your husband once more.
“Ready!” Bradley called out from the hallway. You both walked over to be greeted by the small boy wearing his sweatshirt backward. You let out a soft giggle before crouching down to fix the boy’s sweatshirt and pulling him into a warm embrace.
“Ready to pick out some movies kiddo?”
“Yeah!”
Tumblr media
The two of you returned half an hour later with 5 movies, microwave popcorn, and a bunch of different candies and sweets to snack on. The three of you spent the rest of the day cuddled on the couch watching movies, eating popcorn, and reveling in the love that you had for one another.
As you lay on the couch with Bradley asleep on your lap you leaned into Nick’s embrace. “I love you, Nicky.”
He pressed a kiss to the top of your head. “I love you too, Honeybee.”

No updates to the app today, not that I didn't work on it. I was even too grumpy for video games. It was not a good day. I ate pizza even though I know I'm allergic. It's like would it be better to occasionally have a pizza and it hurts myself. IDK I feel like I can't control myself. I have an idea for a soap thing but it's like that not very vertically integrated of you. I'm leaning more towards using GraphQL instead of a REST API, just for ease of use. I tried the like I browser dev environment that was suggested from the remix tutorial. I made sure the instances were stopped, it was a pretty frustrating user experience, I don't remember what it was called git or but something. But I'll try the whole thing again in there. It's like 50 free hours / month if you link LinkedIn and if it can get me past the issue I was having with Prisma. When I did look at the Prisma documentation it seems like you need a database set up to use it and I don't have a database set up, unless there is one already there in the automation of the tutorial that I didn't see. As far as dev environments I think I can do just fine in a multipass or on my windows box. The other thing I've been doing for my birthday is binge watching HR pufnstuf (it's on the internet archive) it's been on my mind since I started using metasploit's LESTER (Local Exploit SuggesTER) on Kali for some hack the back stuff. It was the first thing I thought of, one of the doors in Wilhelmina Whack Witchiepoo's living castles is named Lester. As an adult I can see why people consider it to be cursed media but still mid key obsession with it. Like this is before googly eyes were widely available. The scale and scope of the production is bizarre. I'm still confused why it's hasn't had a reboot, particularly since that's where those stupid McDonald's characters are from. But while it it cursed and obscure, like couldn't find name of the talking door, had to go watch it, it kinda just makes me miss working with puppets. No not like chef and ansible, I used to make and performing with puppets. I thought they were going to be a large part of my life but I guess I was wrong about that. I guess it's just more reason to get back into animatronics. I'm going to go eat pizza now even though it's after 3 am on my birthday day and I have to be up in 6 hours.

Hey, this might sound really stupid, and it probably is, but I'm making a video essay on Krofft in the streaming age. I was wondering, how did you get introduced to The Bugaloos? And how do you feel that new people will be introduced to this fandom?
Thank you in advance
Funny you asked that..because I was first introduced to H.R. Pufnstuf around 7-8 years old at my aunt’s place and I loved it! But I do have faint memories of watching the bugaloos there too, but I guess lil me didn’t care for it as much lmao. Fast forward to 14-15 year old me watching pufnstuf again for nostalgia reasons and then becoming obsessed with it once more. But then a month later, I found out the bugaloos exist and I think that show in specific made me obsessed with anything krofft related or has that same unique feeling that those groovy ass bugs did..
As for new people getting into it…I actually would love it if more people around my age (or younger even) get into it more!! But I guess the Bugaloos are either too weird or niche to get into unlike Pufnstuf which I’ve noticed has more younger fans than most other Krofft shows. But I guess I like how small it is because it makes making friends here more special? Idk how to explain it, but it just feels nice that there’s another cool person that’s into Pufnstuf/Bugaloos/bananasplits/etc that actually appreciates them instead of thinking those shows are creepy/dumb or makes them into fnaf/welcome home number 747383738 (banana splits I’m so sorry they did that to you). And it’s especially nice knowing they’re not gross boomer men sexualizing joy and making NSFW art of her (she deserves way better)..but I’m so used to being in dead/nonexistent fandoms that it doesn’t really bother me at all, but it’ll be nice seeing more new younger fans (Krofft appreciators I call them) once in awhile!! also I’m super excited knowing you’ll be making a krofft video!! They need more appreciation :-}

A Big Delight...
These commercials for Hostess Twinkies and Fruit Pies are unique in that they were produced before their advertising mascots were created: Twinkie the Kid in 1971 and Fruit Pie the Magician in ‘73. Exactly when the ads were made isn’t known, but in the case of the Twinkies spot, an educated guess might be ‘70 because a girl seen wearing a witch costume resembles Witchiepoo from H.R. Pufnstuf. (The show first aired Saturday mornings on NBC from 1969-‘72.)
Watch them here.

The new Pleasing aesthetic gives me a 70's Sid & Marty Krofft cartoon vibe. I felt that way about the Two Ghosts graphics as well. I'll forever wonder why the 2G video was scrapped. I would have loved to see it.
Ha, H.R Pufnstuf vibes :) Kinda!
I'm pretty sure the 2G video was scrapped because it was fuckin' terrible! It looked really awful to me.

Saturday Morning Cartoons Greatest Hits REVISITED
Greetings and Salutations!
Thank you so much for Your continued support for this channel and everything we have done thus far.
Everyone who has taken the time out of their schedules to watch anything and everything we do here at the Nostalgia Road Trip really means a lot to us and there is no better way to reward your continued support but with a Music Video Marathon.
As the title suggest, we revisit the old 90s album (an Cartoon network/TBS television special) Saturday Morning Cartoon's Greatest Hits and give it our own unique spin on the special/tribute album. Gone are the Drew Barrymore hosted segments that were in the beginning, middle and end of the songs and we replaced it with more footage of the cartoons While also including some tracks from other Various Cartoon shows of the 90s. It is something that we have wanted to do for quite some time and hope that it will bring a smile to those that remembered this particular album. For those who don't remember, then we have a treat for you, because we guarantee you the greatest experience for both your eyes and ears as you embark on a tour de force of sights and sounds from the various bands of the 90s with their amazing renditions of classic cartoon theme songs.
So it is because of that, and your support for this channel, that we wanted to do something for you all to lift up your spirits and bring a happy smile to your face with SATURDAY MORNING cartoon's greatest Hits REVISITED!!!! Top 5 songs you’re jamming to this year
The Julie and the Phantoms soundtrack is definitely one I’ve been vibing too this past week. Specially Now or Never and Stand Tall.
I’ve listened to Hozier’s Like Real People Do way too many times in the last month.
So I found this song call Living Island by Pogo. It takes clips and sounds from this old show called H.R. Pufnstuf. No joke; I thought that show was some kind of fever dream I had as a kid, so imagine my surprise when I watched the music video for Living Island and started slowly recognising some of the clips.
Also the soundtrack for Black Friday got put on Spotify recently so I’ve been jamming to some of the songs on that.

Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare, also known as The Great Yokai War, is the middle film of a Yokai trilogy from Daiei Film, the same folks that brought us the Daimijin Trilogy. The first of the Yokai Monsters Trilogy is Yokai Monsters: 100 Monsters (1968) and the third film in the trilogy is Yokai Monsters: Along with Ghosts (1969). Bryan Clark, guest host and a self-proclaimed kaiju and tokusatsu geek, chose Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare as the subject for this episode’s podcast and the Classic Era’s Grue-Crew are delighted with his choice.
Daphne loves Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare and found the Yokai to be charming. She is enchanted with the overall childlike feeling and atmosphere of the film created by the Yokai, the music, and the cinematography. Chad had never heard of Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare and didn’t know what to expect. He finds the same kind of charm he found in H.R. Pufnstuf (1969-1970) as a youth, loving the cool monsters with individual personalities alongside fun with a dangerous edge and a bonkers imagination. Now he vows to watch the entire trilogy. Jeff also loves the weird anthropomorphic creatures and is intrigued by the centuries-old Japanese folklore of the Yokai. Bryan is a sucker for old-fashioned, man-in-suit monsters, and Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare delivers. The Yokai creations are so wild in concept, design, and personality that it’s impossible not to be charmed by them.
Your Classic Era Grue-Crew all intend to watch the complete trilogy of Yokai Monsters movies. If you are also so inclined, Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare is available to stream from various subscription and PPV streaming services, and on Blu-ray physical media in Yokai Monsters Collection (3-Disc Limited Edition) and Yokai Monsters Collection (3-Disc Standard Special Edition) from Arrow Video. The Limited Edition was released October 19, 2021, and the “Standard Special Edition” is to be released February 22, 2022. Both sets include Takashi Miike’s The Great Yokai War (2005) as a fourth movie. The only differences this writer can find between the two offerings are postcards featuring newly commissioned artwork for each film by Jolyon Yates and a foldout ‘yokai guide’ poster illustrated by Jolyon Yates, both included with the Limited Edition.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror: The Classic Era records a new episode every two weeks. Up next on their very flexible schedule is one chosen by Daphne: Kwaidan (1964), a classic Japanese ghost story of another kind.
Please let them know how they’re doing! They want to hear from you – the coolest, grooviest fans: leave them a message or leave a comment on the site or email the Decades of Horror: The Classic Era podcast hosts at [email protected]
