Hello, everyone.

This may be the finest and most important article I've written since the creation of this blog, so kindly read it carefully and pay attention.

And share it so that everyone can see it.

There are many events happening tonight, and I will try to summarize them for you so that you have a complete understanding of what is happening.

Twelve days ago, a gruesome incident occurred, most of you have probably heard of it: the occupation forces shelled the Al-Ma'madani Hospital in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over a thousand people, including patients, their families, doctors, and young children.

Has the occupation been content with this? The answer is no.

Since that day, they have been threatening another hospital, Al-Quds Hospital, with the promise of bombing it, leaving civilians and patients inside in a state of terror, awaiting death at any moment.

The first time this happened, it spread across social media platforms, especially Twitter, and many people protested, causing the occupation to halt its actions.

Today, twelve days after the Al-Ma'madani Hospital massacre, they have once again sent severe threats to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for the immediate evacuation of Al-Quds Hospital, as it is destined to be bombed.

Since the early hours of the morning, the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital has been witnessing continuous airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of some buildings within a 50-meter radius.

The second matter, three days ago, specifically on Friday, the twenty-seventh of this month, the occupation completely isolated Gaza from the world by cutting off the internet, telecommunications, and electricity. They were prepared for a brutal massacre that occurred that night and lasted for two days.

I'm talking about indiscriminate bombardment using all kinds of weapons on all areas of Gaza, whether they were churches, mosques, schools, or homes, regardless of their occupants, be they children, young people, women, or the elderly.

During that period, social media platforms and indeed the entire world were abuzz with the issue.

People from various backgrounds, nationalities, and religions unanimously agreed that it was inhumane to isolate them from the world and deny them the right to have a voice.

They were searching for solutions they could implement.

Some took to the streets, demanding the return of the internet, while others began sharing their plight on social media, primarily on Twitter.

They reached out to activists and officials who had the means to help.

One of the most prominent solutions that everyone turned to was contacting Elon Musk, the former owner of Twitter (X) and the current owner of SpaceX, to enable the people of Gaza to use the internet via Starlink's private satellites.

They hoped that he would hear their plea, as it was their only hope.

He tweeted:

"Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza.

On the same day, five hours after the publication of this tweet, the Israeli Minister of Communications commented on it, saying, in essence, that they would use all available means to prevent the supply of Starlink internet to Gaza because Hamas would utilize it. He also threatened that if this were to occur, he would sever all his office's ties with Starlink.

Now, let's discuss the issue of hostages for a moment because it is of utmost importance to understanding the situation.

On the twenty-fourth of this month, Yasmin Porat, one of the hostages, came forward to talk about her experiences during her captivity.

I will now share some of what she mentioned in the interview:

She stated that Israeli forces eliminated everyone, including hostages, amid heavy crossfire and tank shelling.

She highlighted the contrasting behavior of Palestinian fighters who offered hope for safe passage to Gaza. Israeli forces disrupted this hope with a storm of gunfire.

Palestinian fighters treated the hostages humanely, offering them hope of a safe passage to Gaza, despite the chaos.

This compassionate act stands in stark contrast to the chaos that unfolded.

After the interview was broadcast, it was completely deleted and blocked from all social media platforms and even from Kan's website. Moreover, Yasmin's account mysteriously disappeared from the "Haboker Hazeh" program, raising concerns of censorship.

Below, you will find the interview recording.

During that period, the Al-Qassam Brigades continued their communication with the Israeli government in order to release some prisoners for humanitarian reasons, including their age and health, among them two elderly women, one of whom is named Yohav Levisheitz.

But the Israeli government showed no interest in the matter whatsoever.

As a result, they decided to release the two elderly women.

Before leaving, one of them, Yohav Levisheitz, insisted on shaking hands with one of the resistance fighters who she was their captor, as you can see in the following video.

After this, she insisted on participating in a press conference to share her experience, saying:

"When we arrived in Gaza, they initially told us that they believed in the Quran and that they wouldn't harm us.

They said they would treat us as they do with those around them.

We were under tight security, and medical professionals arrived to ensure we had the medications we always took.

They showed great concern for our health.

Our place of rest was the mattresses.

We had an accompanying doctor who would visit us every two or three days to check on our well-being.

In addition to a paramedic who looked after us and provided us with our medications.

They took on the responsibility and made sure to provide the necessary medications.

They looked after our hygiene meticulously to safeguard our health so that we wouldn't fall ill.

It was they who took care of cleaning the restrooms, not us.

They provided us with everything we needed, and I acknowledge their help in that.

If equivalent medications weren't available, they offered suitable alternatives.

They were remarkably courteous (kind) and ensured we ate well, sharing the same food they ate (bread, cheese, and cucumbers)

We were treated with kindness, and they paid meticulous attention to every detail.

Women among them understood the importance of feminine hygiene and ensured we had everything we needed.

Hamas had meticulously planned everything for a long time, providing us with everything we required, even down to shampoo and conditioner.

The inefficiencies of the army and Shabak (Israel Security Agency - ISA) greatly impacted us; we were pawns in the government's game."

After this, Western media outlets, with CNN at the forefront, distorted Yohav's words and published that she said, "I went through hell."

BBC, on the other hand, released two versions of the statement.

They published the original statement by Yohav on their account dedicated to the Arab audience, while on their accounts for Western and Indian audiences, they published a manipulated version of her statement that included the same content as previously published by CNN.

These are the testimonies of two different women captives, both of whom unanimously agree that they were treated with excellent humane treatment, and no one tortured them or attempted to harass or disturb them.

On the other hand, both of them agree that Israel did not care about their safety in any way and, in fact, they would open fire in the presence of the hostages, leaving behind lifeless bodies hit by their deadly bullets.

Now, let's focus for a moment on the point of Israel and the prisoners.

Two days ago, Abu Ubaida, the official spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, made a lengthy recorded speech in which he spoke about the prisoners.

He said:

"There have been numerous contacts in the prisoner file, and there was an opportunity to reach an agreement, but they delayed and did not show real seriousness in releasing the prisoners.

Instead, its barbaric shelling and continuous crimes have led to the killing of nearly fifty of them so far."

Do you understand now that Israel does not care about the prisoners at all, as it claims, and that their use of the prisoner issue is merely to prevent Elon Musk from providing internet access via Starlink in Gaza for its residents?

Will Chris’ “psychotic” fans be held responsible for the end of the shitshow?

Recently an article regarding Abba’s near ”abduction” story resurfaced, or I should say was reposted. It seemed pretty random of course. But was it? Because you see, this story hints at an original trauma that she might have suffered as a kid. If you combine this (real or fictitious) traumatic experience with the narrative that Chris’ fans are psychos who really can’t stand to see him in a relationship, well then you have created the perfect storm for their separation. Will that excuse be used to explain their divorce which couldn’t come soon enough by the way? 

So many breadcrumbs pointing to Abba being scared… 

The narrative that Chris’ fans are crazy and don’t want to see him with anyone has been going on for years. His brother Scott alluded to it not so long ago during an interview. Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted about it as well, in a very over-the-top and unhinged way just after Chris and Abba made it official with their first papwalk. So there have been many crumbs pointing to his fans’ problematic behavior being the cause for concerns. And indeed, there have already been several articles pointing to Abba being scared for her safety. Here are a couple of examples.

Recently, that excuse has been used to explain why Abba couldn’t attend an event for Warrior Nun.

We all know of her extraordinary professionalism. She has promoted the show so much so that we can only imagine how terrified and heartbroken she must have felt to turn down this event. (read sarcasm) And it probably explains why she refused to talk to the media at the GQ event. You see she was not being rude and a diva, she was just being shy and afraid…

Also remember during Chris and Abba’s last papwalk when they allegedly had dinner with Rob Pattinson, Suki, Adrien Brody and Harvey Weinstein’s former wife, they were escorted by Guillermo who is Chris’ bodyguard. Sure it was meant to sell that they are a very famous and popular couple but maybe it served another purpose. Maybe it was meant to sell the narrative that she is terrified of Chris’ fans and needs the protection of a bodyguard. So the question remains: will they be blamed for their divorce?

The ending of this shitshow isn’t likely to happen soon…

Crumbs and hints are in place but that doesn’t mean the end of the shitshow is near. In fact, I would be very surprised if he doesn’t mention his “wife” during his next con at Seattle on March 2nd. Indeed this con is overseen by the same company that did C2E2 and NYCC last year, and let’s remember the NY con was used to confirm the 2 kinda of ceremonies and to show off his ill-fitting ring. We can suspect this company is one of their sponsors, just like the jewelry brand or airline company. But I am just speculating. 

It’s safe to assume there will be similar shenanigans in Seattle anyway. Will she actually be there? It’s a real possibility. Especially, since the Oscars’ ceremony is on March 10th. Like for the Golden Globes, it’s a time when celebrities try to be seen. And it will be one of their last occasions to make a splash for a while and have their names in every publication since Chris is supposed to start shooting a new movie in March as well. Unless we get pap pics of them on his movie set. They haven’t done it yet and it would be another box to check off in their PR games.  

The manufactured psychotic fans…

For sure there are some crazy fans out there. But I have little doubt as well that most of his crazy fans act this way on purpose because there are plants on the payroll. Even recently, we have seen a ridiculous fake drama around Dodger. An account even published an old picture of Dodger at Daycare. So this mod either hacked into the security cameras of the dog daycare center 6 years ago. Or by some off chance, a crazy stalker fan who worked at that center leaked that pic and sent it to that mod? I should probably specify that this account also got the exclusive (and very believable) story that Renner and Hemsworth told two strangers that they were in Boston for Chris’ wedding. Obviously the most logical explanation is that this blog was fed real info (and that pic) by his team or is working directly for his team. But officially they will pass as crazy fans who crossed the line… And this narrative has proved quite useful in the past.

Playing the victim card is unlikely to get them any sympathy… 

I personally think that this strategy won’t benefit either of them. 

Particularly Abba. First of all, people are unlikely to believe she needs protection because nobody knows her in the first place. We all remember that ridiculous cringe moment at the Ghosted premiere where a paid actor pretended to be her fan and screamed her name. Also and I don’t mean any disrespect but she is not only unknown to the public but she is also totally unremarkable. She is so unremarkable in fact that when that influencer got the video of them at Walt Disney (the video where you can hear the influencer say at the end: “got it”) she had a pic of Abba’s back tattoo on her screen to make sure she recognized her. 

As for Chris, blaming his fans for the end of this shitshow is unlikely to gain him any sympathy either. We have seen so many fan pages disappear, so many fans leave. He has alienated so many loyal fans and a part of the general public with this relationship that isn’t on brand for him. It wouldn’t be wise to alienate the fans that have stuck around. 

Also playing the victim card is just not as popular as it once was. First of all, most normal people have troubles feeling sorry for out of touch celebrities. And why should they? They live in the real world and have real problems. Like having to hold on to their low-paying job, to take care of their kids or to put food on the table. Look at Harry and Meghan. Most people can’t stand them anymore. So Chris’ team would be wise to look for another exit strategy. They have time…

I went to look for a source post but its is scattered all over this sub, twitter (X) and the internet. So I thought I would create a master post for future reference. Please note that I wasn't on the ground that day and don't know have first hand knowledge. We had two Sinners (Feisty_Nurse and BubbleGum_Yum_Yum) who were on the ground and I have included their relevant comments. Both Sinners are considered to be credible to me. The Uvalde school shooting occurred on the 24th of May 2022 at an elementary school. The gunman, Salvador Ramos, killed 19 children, 2 teachers and injured 18 others. Robb Elementary School would have had children who are primarily from the ages of 4 to 10 years of age. [Wikipedia source for school shooting].

On the same day (24th May), it was reported that Thomas Markle Sr suffered a major stroke days before he was about to fly to London for the Queen's Jubilee. [Dailymail archive link]. The trip to London was meant to be a big deal. He was going to be on GBNews and hang out with Lady C.

Meghan flew to Uvalde on a private jet, Texas 2 days after the shooting on the 26th of May. Here are the highlights of the photographs released and an attempt to hitch her PR to a national tragedy.

I remember the squad saying that THIS stall was set up by Meghan to provide food to Uvalde. But in reality it was pre-made sandwiches and Doritos.

CONTEXT MATTERS

What many people didn't realise is that Meghan was living her Pretty Woman fantasy during the Santa Barbara Polo match just a few days before this crass PR tactic. Remember that young polo player refusing to share his award with her? It was just us Sinners and the sugars who were watching these events unfold more closely. What's worse is that she went back to grifting at the Polo club immediately after the Uvalde stunt and didn't rush to Mexico to see her father. Thomas Markle Sr, aged 77, suffered a stroke and was a mere 54 miles from Uvalde and a 4 hour drive from Montecito. She was happy to fly on a private jet to publicly show sympathy for dead kids but didn't show the same level of concern towards her dying father. Soon after social media was divided about the incident and a lot of the focus was diverted to Meghan's stunt instead of the victims. Many pointed to the similarities between this incident and Catherine paying tribute to Sarah Everard. I dont think these incidents are the same thing as Kate was not captured by the media and was only recognised by those who saw her up close in the crowd [source post video] credit RoohsMama

When you search for "Meghan Markle at Uvalde". You are most likely to see this video. Post source video by -ellen-degenerate-. In this version, the posing for photographers and the her photographers following after she leaves is not visible. There were photographers in the area, but Meghan brought her own photography team. This was confirmed after the pic from the community centre was exclusive to Buzzfeed and Sinners on the ground.

Pay close attention to this NBC video as you can see the photographers snapping pics of her and how she poses. The photographs from these 3 photographers is what ends up getting circulated amongst the press. Note that this was 2 days after the tragedy. Bigger celebs like Matthew McConaughey turned up much later and the visit was not publicised.

So by this point even casual on lookers were disgusted by her behaviour, especially in the context that her father was in hospital after a stroke.

Then came the leaks from the Sinners who were Boots on the Ground...

The Texas Highway Patrol providing security at the hospital escorted Meangan and her troupe out, with the suggestion that if she wanted to help? Go donate blood with directions to the senior center. Onward, the circus went to Robb Elementary so photos could be taken of Meangan in mourning.😢 Uvalde is a small community with a strong sense of family. So here she was, in the midst of the most horrific thing that could ever happen. An ego profiteer.😁 .... When in reality? There were no trays of sandwiches from H-E-B (grocery store). Just three small vending machine sandwiches that were tossed out. The drinks and chips were all courtesy of South Texas Blood❣️ for their donors. I know, I get the Doritos nacho cheese.

soooooo. Skullgirls Twitter may or may not be giving hints as to what Marie's story mode entails and I don't see anyone talking about it here so. me, being the guy who loves speculating about shit forever, am going to do it myself

(note: going to be long so here's a read more for all your sakes. also it's 12AM and I am tired so coherency may or may not be a thing. godspeed)

okay so! first, probably most vital thing! the first gameplay clip they ever showed of Marie (by which I mean like four days ago) is just her in the character select screen. nothing too crazy, except. in the character art that pops up when Marie's selected, she does not have her usual skull eyes

now you might think "well this is all extremely early footage that could be a placeholder and they just haven't put the pattern in yet" except someone pointed it out and the official response was

so. from the sounds of it this is intentional. she intentionally does NOT have the skull eyes associated with the Skullgirl, even though she's clearly using the Skullgirl's power. so there's one thing

thing number two! one clip later, and we get this right after

now this could be a tongue-in-cheek joke about exactly how different playable Marie feels from boss Marie - because yeah playable Marie looks absolutely nuts - but considering the skull eyes thing I have my doubts. and it's not like the tweet is wrong - compared to her usual set of minions, the skeletons in playable Marie's moveset are notably more expressive compared to the complete lack of emotion in the boss fight. I mean, everyone's pointed out the ribbon on Laser Skeleton's horn! that's just adorable!

hey speaking of undead minions. this piece of evidence may or may not age well depending on what the next clips show us but do you know who hasn't shown up at all in Marie's moveset thus far? her undead Medici minions. or for that matter the Lamia shadow she summons to blindside you from across the screen whenever she wants you to know your place. neither of those have showed up. meanwhile there HAVE been several moves regarding Marie's previous experience in housekeeping, which isn't exactly NEW for her since in her concept art from way back when there were a bunch of moves referencing housekeeping already in the cards, but seeing it directly from Marie feels distinctly. out of place somehow. hmmmmmmmmm

in the trailer that first revealed Marie in 2022 there was a line that was like "after ten years...a shard [of the Skull Heart] still remains" which got people speculating about what exactly it could mean if it even DID mean anything and wasn't just cool advertising bullshit. well, it seems fairly clear to me that Skullgirls Twitter is hinting at the reality of the situation, and what exactly that might entail

the Skull Heart is a corruptive influence on Marie. we know that; this has been established since Squigly's story mode, where Marie nearly drops a building on a bunch of innocent bystanders before realizing what she was doing and caught the top half of Medici tower. and then there's the more recent development that Marie becoming a Skullgirl gradually led to her forgetting the actual reason for why she made the wish (to save Patricia) vs. what the Skull Heart wants, which is for everything to get razed to the ground (which Marie ended up narrowing down to "fuck the Medici in particular", to which I say: fair enough)

so! as far as I can tell, this moveset (and the eventual story mode) for Marie explores what exactly she's like WITHOUT the influence of the Skull Heart compelling her to murder everything. how she managed to pull if off is still a mystery for now, but we should get an answer for exactly how she came back later down the line.

When EP4 aired, the script writer complimented to Tor and Gun. Tor's character has so many bg story, so he had to learn a lot abt what he has passed before. As for Gun's character, he can't remember anything. It means he has no bg, so he had to design his acting by himself. [Cr]

I will start this by saying I do think Vivziepop is a good creator.

But

Reading about the production of HH and Helluva Boss worries me. In Twitter, Vivziepop is alway talking about how she is tired and overworked, because she has to work on two shows at the same time.

While I do feel bad for her, I am also thinking, “why is she trying to do it all at once?” Like, if Hazbin Hotel is already a huge project to manage, why is she trying to do it while completing a completely different spinoff?

I get the feeling that this might be one of the reasons the world building in Helluva Boss is so weird. Maybe she is rushing writing each script of each episode? I don’t know if that might be true.

If it is true, it is strange she is organizing it this way. Like, she doesn’t have to produce it all at once. She is literally her own boss.

I don’t know. What do you think?

Yes, I've mentioned this before I believe. I'd be foolish to say I don't understand the struggle, the compulsion to jump from project to project and multi-task. I do that myself.

But that isn't something you can do in a corporate setting. She is 100% overworking herself and burning out. Her tweets have concerned me, and so many others.

It wasn't even just Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. She made that Addicted music video, and a pilot episode for Zootopia, and back then also made that Holidaze short. If she had focused on just making shorts, that would be one thing, but the fact that she has to commit to not only one show, but two, is also just not possible. It's too much to keep consistent or even separate sometimes, especially for someone who is not used to that kind of work schedule. She even does all-nighters. It's not healthy.

She might not be the boss for Hazbin Hotel in its entirety, because she sold the rights to A24, but for Helluva Boss then yes.

However, I personally don't think she rushed the Circus episode because she made this tweet a month after the release:

"I'm proud to be making shows that come directly from and deeply involve a queer perspective. It's not always a norm but it's happening more and more! The shows are for everyone, but they are rooted in what we want to see and tell!"

Instead of the show's original premise of being a dark comedy featuring Blitzo's crew in Hell and how despite being bad people, still have intriguing relationships with reason, she decided to flatten and focus on the side character Stolas for the sake of turning him into a pure-hearted baby boy who was a closeted gay that suffered for years against an evil straight woman he was forced to marry.

and that is apparently something she wanted to tell, since she wrote that episode herself. It makes it seem like she's proud to tell this "queer story" in, unfortunately, a very very poor way.

Would not be surprised if some episodes were indeed rushed, but the Circus has layers to its writing and implications. Unfortunately, Helluva Boss has lost sight of what it wants to be. I wonder if it ever knew what it wanted to be. It's gone from dark comedy to romantic drama. Helluva Boss can't write funny dark comedy. Most of the punch lines are sex jokes, swearing, and screaming. It's gotten pretty old and repetitive. Fandoms are more drawn towards romantic drama, so it feels like they attempted to merge or switch the genres to cater to fans, but they fell flat. It's ironic, because, the skimmed-down romantic drama was doing just fine until the Circus episode, where they doubled down and took it the opposite direction of where it was initially heading.

But I digress. Viv has some great ideas but needs help to implement them since she's not always the best at making those ideas work for the better. She's overworking herself through her multi-tasking and burning out, and through it all, her fellow employees are suffering for it. I hope she has learned from this experience and will know to try and focus on one show at a time from now on, or just stick to shorts to make things easier for herself.

Basically I’ve fucked my life up. I’m a homeless (well I sleep in a car) “sex worker” (blergh). I got laid off from my job that I had a week ago and am so stressed. I’ve got job interviews coming up. I can either pay $200 to live in the house with family (board) or try and get a hotel room so I can have a shower before my job interviews. I’ve not showered since Tuesday last week. I’ve not eaten since Sunday. My only options to get money would literally be sex work with the horrible dude I’ve seen before who “made me have 50 orgasms” (faked them allllll!!!) and he is keen to see me again. Wants me for 5+ hours for $300, just ridiculous.

Oh and lastly my 17 year old cat who is my whole entire world I can’t even afford her food or medications right now and I’m so scared for her going without her blood pressure tablets fuck 😞 I’m a god damn failure.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have all the licenses I need to work get fundraised and have acquired them all. The only thing I need now is to ace some job interviews and hopefully land some employment. I feel like the best chance of that is by having a damn shower.

One thing I would like to explore, but is most likely too complex for me to tackle on my own, or all at once, is the popularity of the word TERF as a tool against feminism as a whole. This will be explored, of course, from a trans positive point of view.

My main point of interest is one brought up by Alice Cappelle in her recent video “Who gets to reclaim slurs?” (which you should definitely watch - I won’t repeat all of her points verbatim but they’re more than worth listening to). Viv Smythe, who is credited with having coined the term TERF in 2008 (although she claims that it is likely she was merely the first one to use it on a blog that still exists, source: TheGuardian), meant the term as a “deliberately technically neutral description of an activist grouping“. She adds “we wanted a way to distinguish TERFs from other RadFems with whom we engaged who were trans*-positive/neutral, because we had several years of history of engaging productively/substantively with non-TERF RadFems.” (Quote: TransAdvocate) In a comment published on one of her own blog posts about the topic of trans-exclusionary feminists in 2008, Smythe added: “After a bit more reading, I think the trans-exclusionary set should better be describe[d] as TES, with the S standing for separatists. A lot of the positions that are presented seem far too essentialist to be adequately described as feminist, let alone radical feminist.” In her article on TheGuardian in 2018, she mentioned that the term “TES” didn’t catch on, theorising that the term wasn’t ambiguous enough to.

In her video, Alice Cappelle brings up the way in which the acronym “TERF” has been reclaimed by those we now view as TERFs. Alice proposes: "They took advantage of the fact that they were still referred to as feminists to position themselves as the minority within the movement." She uses the Twitter profiles of self-proclaimed TERFs as examples - they use positive terms such as “happy lil TERF” and cutesy heart emojis in the colours of the suffragette flag. (A term with a history of having been reclaimed, as she mentioned in passing earlier in the video.) She goes on to describe that "[...] their feminism is super limited. 90% of what they do is comment on pro-trans videos, articles, tweets, and it's always the exact same thing: "We don't know what a woman is anymore" and "Why do we say people who menstruate, and not women?""

In fact, in my experience, many so-called TERFs - whether they reclaimed the term or are being called such by another party - are not actively feminists, if they are feminists at all. In many cases, the acronym is used to describe any transphobe who turns out to be a cis woman. Recently, a YouTuber I watch regularly (...whom I will not name for this is not meant to be a call-out post), a cis lesbian whose content and public image show a history of being a trans ally, misspoke about a trans man she had read about. While it is evident that I can’t speak for her true opinions and intentions, it immediately struck me when I saw commenters claim it might turn out that she’s a TERF. Having watched this YouTuber for years, I recall her mentioning in older videos that she didn’t involve herself with feminism, and I certainly don’t recall her content being specifically feminist. There is, in fact, no argument to be made whatsoever that she’s a radical feminist; though I mentioned the claim that she wasn’t involved in feminism came from older content, there exists a chance that she still doesn’t take the time to educate herself on feminism, period. Yet, when these commenters saw the possibility that she was transphobic, they used the word “TERF”. My question is: why? Is it because she’s a woman, or perhaps because she’s a lesbian? Is being sapphic now synonymous to being a radical feminist? Because that sounds to me like a can of worms I don’t even want to touch. In truth, the history of lesbianism and political lesbianism is also a complex issue, which I won’t explore in-depth for the time being (though I will clarify that I’m very much criticising the idea that just because a woman is attracted to women in the year 2022, she should automatically be labeled a feminist), but I will express worry that people, many of them queer, I assume, being this YouTuber’s viewers, are willing to turn against lesbians and feminists - and that worry is one of the main sources for my wondering about the impact of using “TERF” as an insult against women.

As a note, I will add that I don’t align this train of thought with the debate of “TERF“ being a slur. As philosophy of language professor Veronica Ivy mentions: “The idea—it seems to be—is that ‘TERF’ is a term used to denigrate women, and so it is a slur. However, this is an absurd, nonsensical view of the nature of slurs.” (Source: The Epistemology of Propaganda, PhilPapers) While I may bring up the problematic ways in which any word that can describe women and/or feminism negatively winds up being used against any and all women, claiming that “TERF” is a slur is also a blatant misuse of the word “slur”. In criticising TERFs’ claims that the acronym be a slur, Ivy mentions: “[Radical feminists who don’t accept trans women as women] were labeled by fellow (cisgender) radical feminists as TERFs. This point is important, since many contemporary TERFs accuse trans women of coining the phrase/term—and, ludicrously, claim that ‘TERF’ is a misogynistic slur.” Ultimately, the “TERF is a slur” debate is one based in ignorance, if not full-on lies.

In her article Radical Inclusion - Recounting the Trans Inclusive History of Radical Feminism (source: TransAdvocate), trans historian Cristan Williams describes the blatant misuse of pioneering radical feminist opinion leader Andrea Dworkin’s work by TERF activist Sheila Jeffrey. “While she credited Dworkin as being her inspiration and spoke at length about Dworkin’s pioneering book, Woman Hating, she also denigrated the bodies of trans women and asserted trans medical care to be unnecessary. During her entire presentation, Jeffreys never once noted that—in the very book Jeffreys cited as being the inspiration for her activism—Dworkin advocated that trans people be given free access to trans medical care or that Dworkin viewed gender identity research as being subversive to patriarchy.” In the same article, Williams uses the example of Olivia Records, a radical feminist lesbian separatist music collective described as the pioneer to the 1970s-era women’s music movement, which “was itself trans inclusive, and [...] paid for trans medical care.” As she explains, Olivia [Records] endured “threats of boycott and violence from TERF activists who demanded that the collective become trans exclusionary”. Sandy Stone, a trans woman member of Olivia, was regularly threatened, and it culminated when a TERF group named The Gorgons came to a show in Seattle with guns, to be thankfully stopped by Olivia security - which had been seriously increased due to their violent threats.

What becomes evident to me is that radical feminists and TERFs are not and historically haven’t been synonymous. It cannot be denied, however, that trans-exclusionary subgroups have always existed near radical feminists, and nowadays transphobic women continue to co-opt the name, despite arguably putting less and less effort in appearing feminist at all. That being said, TERFs have always been, and continue to be a hateful group with every intent to harm other, non-transphobic feminists (and let’s not forget their willingness to perpetuate violence against trans women directly). By claiming to be the “true” radical feminists, not only do they undermine the image of the movement, but they also give themselves otherwise non-existent credibility. My argument is: by forgetting that TERFs are, in fact, not representative of historical radical feminists, we are being played by them and contributing to harming feminism and radical feminism as a whole. By letting transphobes rewrite history (as if they don’t do that enough already), we are contributing to a world in which feminism will be misinterpreted as transphobic and, as such, passé - a movement to leave behind as humanity becomes less ignorant. To cite Cristan Williams once more: “When promoting the idea that TERF activism is radical feminism itself, it becomes difficult to clearly see the courage of the women of Olivia who endured months of threats of boycott and violence from TERF activists who demanded that the collective become trans exclusionary.”

By exploring this question, I have myself learned more about radical feminism. The truth is, I had been led to believe to a certain degree that TERFs were the only radical feminists. While I dissociated them from the word feminism on its own - which fewer and fewer people even attempt to do nowadays - I had come to view “radical feminism” as synonymous with “trans-exclusionary radical feminism”. While I still have much to learn about the presence of current trans-positive/neutral radical feminist groups, I am now better informed about the history of the movement. To be honest, this will be a helpful tool to me, a cis woman, when cis men are ~nice enough~ to accept that I’m a feminist, but still have to remind me that “feminists have a history of being radical”. With my pre-existing knowledge of the strides allowed by radical feminists - even those with views that may not hold up today - it will be easier for me to defend our history and current positions now that I’m clearly aware that transphobes were never representative of radical feminism, and even strived to hurt it. Transphobes, or trans-exclusionary separatists (TES) as Viv Smythe put it in 2008, were always a hateful group of their own, with a historical wish to absorb radical feminists indeed, but no success or direct link whatsoever; our goal should be to ensure they still do not succeed.

Another man making an events for women about himself and his “identity”

Lesbians who had congregated at Dyke March in Hamburg on Friday were met with hostility, and at least one woman was physically assaulted by trans activists after asserting that men cannot identify as lesbians.

Women had gathered to peacefully protest one of the event’s scheduled speakers, a male politician who recently began identifying as a lesbian woman. The official Instagram account for Dyke March Hamburg advertised that ‘Tessa’ (Markus) Ganserer, who declared a female identity in 2018, would be a guest speaker at the event.

Ganserer, a trans-identified male member of German parliament, was elected to Germany’s Bundestag in September 2021, taking a seat that was reserved in quota for female political representation.

Ganserer was first elected as a male to the Bavarian state parliament in 2013 representing the Greens. Since self-identifying as a woman, he has made numerous appearances at events specifically for women. In March, Ganserer was selected by the Green Party to present at an event highlighting women in politics. The event, titled Women*. Power. Politics, used an asterisk throughout its description to indicate “all women are welcome,” by which they were referring to males who identified as women.

Last year, he took part in a demonstration for lesbian visibility organized by Dyke March Nürnberg, where he was photographed with his wife holding signs that read “Lesbian cake.”

On April 26, Ganserer tweeted in support of the Lesbian Day of Visibility for “all lesbians, cis and trans*.” In July, he was interviewed by Siegessäule, a publication owned by Manuela Kay, organizer of Dyke March Berlin, and spoke about the rights of “lesbian mothers.” Ganserer has fathered two children with his wife.

Leading up to the event, the hashtag #MarkusIstNichtLesbisch was trending on Twitter as German women expressed their outrage that a man was set to speak, ostensibly on his experience of identifying as a woman.

A group of women who attended the Dyke March to protest held signs which read, “You never need to apologize for not liking dick,” “I like women, not men,” and “Lesbian: a homosexual adult human female,” as well as other signs pointing out the homophobia of trans activism and denouncing lesbian erasure.

Other participants of the Dyke March began hurling insults at the women, and some chanted “TERFs go home.” As the animosity mounted, police pulled the women out of the main march and stood with them to the side.

Ana Julia Di Lisio, the founder of women’s rights group Radfem Berlin, told Reduxx that trans activists had attempted to set fire to the banner defining lesbians as female in a previous demonstration in Berlin. At the Hamburg Dyke March, the same banner was targeted, and a woman attempted to rip the banner from Di Lisio’s hands. “She wanted to destroy all of it. She tried to break the bamboo poles that held it up, and when they didn’t break, she put more force until I tried to stop her. She reacted violently and continued to twist the banner and this way she hurt my arm with a cut and scratches and a hit to my lip,” Di Lisio said.

As the police officers were in close proximity, Di Lisio immediately filed a report.

Di Lisio stressed that although a woman had attacked her, she believed that several men who were identifying as transgender worked her up to it. “These men kept agitating verbally while we walked with our banners, but the ones who came to attack us were mainly women triggered by these men.” 

According to Di Lisio, Ganserer did not speak at the event as scheduled. When asked why she believed that was the case, she said, “That might have to do with the fact that Dyke* March Hamburg was expecting us and they did not want to expose Markus [Ganserer]. It gave me the impression the police were informed about us coming, and I say this because the police came to us before we even joined the march… to ask us what we were doing there.”

Di Lisio told Reduxx that the police pulled their group aside before they had even entered the march and cautioned them. “The police told us that they were informed of who we are and they asked us to remain peaceful, which we did.”

“When I got attacked, someone from the Dyke March Hamburg was taking photos instead of coming to help,” Di Lisio said, and clarified that under German law passersby are required to intervene when witnessing an assault, “So the organization neglected their duties to keep order as promised.”

Di Lisio told Reduxx the widespread acceptance of males identifying into lesbianism has had grave consequences for the rights and safety of lesbian women.

Ganserer is not the only man identifying as a woman who holds political power in Germany. Maike Pfuderer is a trans-identified male who is a spokesperson for the Federal Working Group on Lesbian Politics for the Green party. On social media, Pfuderer frequently denounces as “TERFs” those who reject the notion that men can identify as women.

In April, a heterosexual German man named Francois Etscheid declared his sexual orientation as “lesbian” and was interviewed by media as stating that he was looking to raise awareness of the “rare phenomenon” of “lesbian men.”

In July, lesbians were attacked at a Dyke March in Cologne, and one woman was grabbed and choked by a transactivist. At the same event, a small group of pro-pedophilia activists displayed a “MAP” flag (minor-attracted person), and did not report being attacked or insulted.

German lawmakers are currently considering a proposed self-identification policy which would allow anyone aged 14 years old and older to change their legal sex by filling out a form. Parents of children under 14 would have the right to file the form on their child’s behalf. If one of the legal guardians refuses to sponsor their minor’s sex marker change, a family court would reserve the right, at the request of the minor, to “replace the decision of the parents based on the best interest of the child.”

The full text of the proposed and amended legislation is expected to be made public by autumn.

7. What hurt your younger self that you never fully healed from? What would you say to your younger self today? Uh, I clearly have the answer in my mind but it’s way too embarrassing. I’d say, “You’ll get that in your 20s, bigger things will come in your late 20s and years ahead, hence you have to live a long life.”

9. How have you neglected your mental health recently? What's one small way you can make it up to yourself? I put myself under tremendous pressure. Perhaps a small step I can take is allowing myself to take a nap.

11. What's a boundary you can set with yourself today that will benefit future you? Not always available for others! I have my own life, schedules and plans.

12. How do you define happiness? Get specific. Happiness is a feeling when I get what I want. Whatever my wish is, whether it’s a major life goal, finishing a work I love, or my favorite soy milk, I’m content when I get it. I never had wishes that were destructive or harmful, we’re responsible for our own ambitions. :)

I’ve bookmarked it, sorry for keeping it as a secret. But so far the books by Matt Haig and Paulo Coelho have given me great advice.
