Just finished re-watching season 1 of twin peaks, and I'm taking a bit of a break before watching season 2.
And let me tell ya... Now I understand just why this show created such a buzz back when it was released! If I had watched the insane masterpiece which is the season 1 finale in 1990 (after never seeing any other show like it on television before) and then had to wait for season 2 to come out after all of THAT?? I would have gone absolutely feral
#i just love this funky little show#and all the funky little people in the funky little town#so damn much#dale cooper is the most character of all time#and the vibes the atmosphere is immaculate#twin peaks#twin peaks s1#twin peaks season 1

Furry Midnight Haul
Nobody really knows how such places come to be, but it typically doesn't take very long before they are noticed by those who had the misfortune of living nearby. Most of the time it starts with people simply having a strange, uneasy feeling if they happen to get too close. But with time, the stories behind them begin to grow and fill with new, frightening details. The locals start whispering about those who went missing after going there on a dare, or just because they did not believe the rumors and had something to prove. Unfortunately for Quinn and Leo, they weren't locals at all and heard no such warnings.
After Leo's gps sent the two of them on a goose chase across the countryside, suggesting an apparently far more optimal and 12,7% faster route that eventually turned out to take them through a good handful of different dirt roads, they somehow ended up in the absolute middle of nowhere. Somehow even despite that the duo was still in a pretty upbeat mood, chatting merrily about the amazing concert they were at earlier that evening. Unfortunately it was already well past midnight and Leo was starting to feel really worn out after all the different excitements of the day so driving much further did not seem like such a great idea.
The closest town on the map was almost an hour away and even then, it was so small that Quinn and Leo doubted they would have found an open motel there anyway. Instead they decided to spend the night in the parking lot of this old truck stop they happened to be passing at the time. It looked abandoned, but most of the lamplights around the property seemed to still be working so they hoped that at least no animals would be disturbing them till morning.
Quinn needed to take a quick leak before bedtime but Leo was so wiped that he wasted next to no time reclining his driver seat all the way back and rolling up some old sweatshirt he found on the backseat for a makeshift pillow. Of course he agreed when Quinn asked him to try and stay awake until he was back in case something were to happen. But it wasn't even a full minute after his friend closed the car door behind himself that he began dozing off.
Quinn was only planning to run behind the building and have a piss there, but as he got closer, he realized that he could see a faint light flickering behind one of the windows. Maybe this place wasn't really as abandoned as they originally thought… Upon closer inspection, he found the door to the public toilet at the side of the building, that's where the light was coming from!
Much to Quinn's surprise, while not spotlessly clean by any means the bathroom wasn't a complete sty like he would have expected and after taking a small peek, he decided to try going inside, not knowing that nobody had been there in ages. He noticed a bit of a funky, musky aroma in the air, but honestly, that wasn’t a total dealbreaker. He walked up to the stalls and found them in a more than acceptable state as well. Those were going to be useful in case that double sized chili hot dog he got at the last gas station came knocking…
But one thing that caught Quinn's eye in particular had to be graffiti that covered the walls inside the stall. He giggled, wondering if he accidentally stumbled upon some secret gay cruising spot. The drawings were pretty simple and rather crude, depicting numerous beefy, burly men, with big cocks and even bigger beards! Quinn giggled when he noticed just how much care and attention was put into drawing their junk and their body hair, but how little anything else.
Upon a closer look, it was almost like a comic book of sorts, showing the lives of a pair of particularly hairy, bearded truckers (but really, mostly just the two of them fucking each other and the men they met on the road.) One was drawn almost like a round ball with how huge his gut was and while the other had a pretty hefty potbelly too, someone definitely put the most effort into making his arms look as big and muscular as possible.
Back in the car, Leo could see those same two arms in a much greater detail. As soon as he'd fallen asleep, he found himself having a very strange dream... In it, he was also reclining in front of the steering wheel in the middle of this same parking lot, only he was inside of a huge semi truck, rather than the old sedan he got from his dad. When he tried to move, Leo realized that he was occupying the body of someone else.
Someone big… really big. Those furry arms he saw waving in front of him were just enormous! He also had a beard, and it must have been really long and bushy because Leo could see its end brushing all across his meaty, ridiculously hairy chest whenever he looked down! He immediately blushed when he realized that wasn't the only thing he could see… This guy's fly was popped wide open with a fully hard, beercan of a cock sticking straight out of it!
And the freakiest thing was that as soon as he saw it, Leo began feeling so damn horny, as if he'd just been beating it off himself… suddenly it was almost getting hard to keep himself from wrapping this furry paw that he now had for a hand around the engorged, leaking piece of meat. Why not give it a few strokes? It wasn't like he was planning on cumming before the huz was back… that thought came so naturally to Leo that it didn't really occur to him to ask who was this ‘huz’ that he was talking about.
The burly trucker whose body Leo was now inhabiting did not like to think too hard about things, especially not when he was this hard and horny himself! If Quinn had still been around, he would have seen Leo squirming in the car seat, moaning pleasurably as the coating of stubble around his mouth began sprouting darker and thicker. But what was going on inside Leo's dream in that same moment was far less tame…
After giving his swollen meat a few timid strokes, he quickly discovered just how good it could feel to jerk off in the body of such a hulking, furry beast of a man. By now he was completely consumed by lust, grunting loud and beating it so hard that his huge, hairy balls were swinging in the air. Leo could actively feel himself growing dumber, but it was impossible to resist all that pleasure. As if this mind, limited to only the horny, brutish thoughts was experiencing them with that much more intensity.
Some of this horniness must have been rubbing off on Quinn because as he continued to study the lewd graffiti, his cock started to tent up in his pants without him noticing. His eyes were so tightly glued to the drawings that he also failed to realize that little by little, the space around him was changing. Paint was losing its vibrant color and peeling off the walls, the white tiles on the floor turning to shades of grey and freely overgrowing with grime. The unwashed smell of sweaty, wild sex was allowed to fill the air, opening the door to numerous, dirty and perverse thoughts that were just waiting for an opportunity to sneak into Quinn's head.
He found himself picturing what those two bearded truckers might have looked like in real life. Somehow not finding it strange at all that his interest was gravitating particularly towards the drawings depicting the most explicit sex scenes. They both had such massive cocks… the one belonging to the beefier trucker was hella thick, but so was the meat of the guy with a huge gut, and it might have been even longer! Quinn let out a moan as his cock started to grow even bigger, pressing uncomfortably against his jeans.
Ugh, why the fuck was he wearing something so damn tight while on the road? It always felt best to ride in nothing but his jock so he could always whip out his cock whenever he got horny and give hubby a hot show… and since the jockstrap was right there, he would always have something around to wipe up all that cum off his belly too! Suddenly Quinn had the perfect image of a blonde, big bellied trucker with an enormous, matted beard pressing a nasty, yellowed jockstrap straight into his face. He grinned and gave it a snort, then, a moment later, Quinn found himself making that exact same sound, his hand tightly squeezing the bulge sprouting from his crotch.
Fuck yeah, horny manstink always got him so damn hard! Quinn started to lift his other hand towards his face, he felt something between his fingers… its crusty fabric was soaked with so many old loads that he could already smell it… his ripe, old jockstrap… suddenly Quinn was pushing his face right into it, taking a deep snort as his faint, weekend's worth of stubble started to grow longer and denser. Already making him look like he hadn't shaved in well over a month, and probably hadn't bothered to comb his shaggy mess of beard in about as long too.
Oh damn, this manly stink was really getting him going! Quinn was in the process of trying to clumsily undo his belt and get ahold of his cock. But fuck, he needed more! His mouth was opening, the tongue sticking out further and further, something was telling him that he just had to give this rank jock a good lick… he could already almost taste those salty, countless loads spilled into it… but then suddenly Quinn opened his eyes, asking himself just what the fuck he was doing?! He tossed the jockstrap against the wall, pushing the stall door open and bolted outside.
Unfortunately for Leo trying to resist the influence of this place was proving to be far more difficult while asleep. Even despite his dwindling intellect, he could tell that this was no ordinary dream. Everything was too real… the inside of this cab, this hulking, beefy body covered in coarse fur, the way it felt when he squeezed this beer can thick cock that constantly dribbled with pre. He had this sudden urge to give it a taste and once he did, he simply couldn't stop! He was such a horny pig! Constantly beating off and huffing his ripe pits.
Leo was still able to tell that the deeper he sank into this lustful frenzy, the harder it was getting to recall ever doing anything else, ever being anything else than this massive, furry trucker! But who cared? He was so fucking hot now! Leo wasn't able to resist tilting the rear view window towards the cabin so he could see more of himself in the reflection. Getting so damn turned on admiring his broad, meaty chest and caressing the enormous beard that was hanging down from his tough, brutish face.
Back in the real world, Leo's body was moving in that exact, same fashion. Fingers combing through what was now a full beard, densely covering his cheeks while his other hand tugged on his swelling cock. Somehow Leo knew what was happening to him, that his real self was changing to resemble this burly, constantly horny, hirsute beast of a man but he was powerless to do anything about it. Completely trapped inside this horny wet dream and unable to wake up.
Even his best efforts amounted to little more than making himself shift from side to side in his seat. Except by now, it was a tall and wide driver's seat of a massive semi truck and with every stroke of his cock, Leo was getting closer to filling it completely with his furry bulk. He knew that the only hope he had left was for Quinn to quickly get back and wake him up before it was too late!
Unfortunately for Leo, his friend was going through a major crisis of his own at that same moment when he ran out of the bathroom stall and saw himself in the mirror. He was so unrecognizable that at first Quinn screamed, thinking that someone else was in here with him, but when it finally sank in that he was looking at himself, he was far too freaked out to make even a peep. His puffy face was completely covered in shaggy, matted hair! The only thing that Quinn could think of was that he must have been having some kind of an allergic reaction because the rest of his body was suddenly so swollen that his normally loosely fitting hoodie was ready to burst at the seams.
Quinn was panicking so much that despite having felt the messy hairs against his fingers, he still refused to accept that such a huge beard could have sprouted all around his mouth just like that. He rushed towards the sink, convinced that it was something he could simply wash off. Turning on the rusty tap and splashing his face in such a hurry that it was only when his beard was completely soaked wet, that Quinn got a good whiff of just how badly this water reeked.
It was so unbelievably ripe and musky, as if someone made a whole bunch of brawny construction workers wipe themselves with only a single towel after their shift, and then wrung it right above his face. Quinn let out a strained groan as he tried to hold his breath, but it was too late, his chest started to swell so rapidly that it felt like he might suffocate if he didn't pull off his hoodie. Only to find a massive, round gut flopping down onto the sink alongside a pair of fat moobs when he did.
It was just immense and it was still swelling larger and covering in thick, sweaty hair right before his eyes. Quinn’s gaze constantly darting back and forth between it and this massive, unkempt mess of a beard that was now cascading down his chest. Quinn had no idea what to do now, he only knew that somehow, watching it all happen was getting him so unbelievably horned up that he was only moments away from tearing his pants open to whip out his rock hard cock and start beating off.
But then it turned out that he won't even have to wait that long. Suddenly a big, muscled arm covered in thick, dark fur appeared on top of his belly, with another one undoing his belt and grabbing his cock from behind.
“Fuck huz, should have told me ya wanted to stick around cruisin’ for some cocksuckers round here, would have joined ya earlier! Or maybe even taken care of that gigantic schlong myself!”
Quinn moaned when he felt the grip tightening around his meat as the visitor's broad, rough fingers began massaging its entire length. He looked up and saw the gruff face of a hulking trucker brute with a beard almost as massive as his own. After a moment and a closer look Quinn recognized him, and of course he fucking did! It was his husband Leo, the horny pig couldn't even wait till he was done having a piss and had already stomped here with his cock out, wanting to fuck! But that was why Quinn loved that bastard so much, the only man he'd ever met who was as much of a horndog as himself! He grinned and pulled down his pants all the way, opening his hairy ass wide and sliding it onto Leo’s thick, throbbing cock.
“Yeah, give it to me you hot fucker! Yer gonna be tasting that load when ya rim my arse at the next stop!!!”
Wait… why was he saying that… Quinn wanted to tell Leo to stop but instead only kep spewing more dirty, perverted things and encouraging him to fuck him harder. God, that felt so damn good, seeing just how much his gut was turning this beefy trucker on! Leo was moaning even louder than he was when he caressed this furry, swelling beach ball with his meaty paws. Inside, Quinn was still desperately trying to tell his friend that he had to stop, but the only thing leaving his mouth was a horny litany of the dirtiest curse words ordering him to keep going until eventually even he was too turned on to talk at all.
Only grunting wildly as he tugged on his big nips and pushed his ass deeper and deeper onto Leo's beer can thick fuckstick. After all those years they've spent on the road together, fucking multiple times per day, they could both tell without fail just how close the other was to blowing his load. And with how loud and savage Leo's groans were getting, Quinn knew that the huz was already on the edge.
“Do it fucker! Blow that load in my… HNNGHHHHH!!!
He couldn't finish before he felt Leo squeezing his cock as hard as he could take it and jerking it rapidly until it began spewing thick globs of prime trucker spunk all over the floor in front of them. Then thrusting his cock as deep up Quinn's ass as he could before he started cumming as well, completely flooding the big bellied bear's insides. As always, the intensity of the orgasm leaving them heaving and panting loudly, completely dripping with sweat. After Leo slid his cock out, Quinn gathered some of the cum still oozing from its tip onto his tongue and pulled his man into a sloppy kiss, already looking forward to finding out just how much better this load was going to taste after marinating inside his hole until the next truck stop.

Homophobia in drag
When I was a young boy, I loved spending the night at my grandmother’s house. There, I could stay up as late as I wanted, and in the morning, there would always be Cinnamon Toast Crunch for breakfast. But the best part was raiding the closet in her basement, which was full of the gowns she had worn in the 1960s and 1970s – frilly pink and purple confections made of lace, chiffon and silk. I would put them on and watch The Golden Girls, sophisticatedly sipping Coke from a wine glass.
When I was nine, my dad bought a video camera, a giant monstrosity that my siblings and I struggled to balance on our shoulders while we filmed home videos. Alone, I’d prop the camera on the coffee table and record myself modelling various outfits, explaining to the camera why this plaid shirt went with these cargo shorts, or why this teal Starter jacket complemented these acid-washed jeans so perfectly. I captured on camera the dance I had painstakingly choreographed to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s ‘Good Vibrations’.
As a kid, I followed my two older sisters around like a shadow, mimicking their mannerisms – the way they tucked loose strands of hair behind their ears when they were concentrating on their maths homework; the way they jutted their hips whenever they were talking to cute boys. Like them, I was a naturally athletic kid. My favourite sport was lacrosse, but I much preferred to play with the girls instead of the boys. The boys were quick to push and shove, and they loved to whack each other with their aluminium sticks. Girls relied more on their speed, their reflexes and the skills they’d honed to keep the ball securely cradled in the shallow mesh of their wooden sticks.
I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian community – most people would call it a cult. From kindergarten to the sixth grade, I attended the community’s tiny school. Because enrollment was so low, there was no in-crowd, no separate cliques of jocks and geeks. In retrospect, I’m sure my classmates and especially my teachers noticed my gender-nonconformity – all of my home videos prove that it was glaring – but it went largely ignored. All that mattered was that we were good Christians, that we loved Jesus and evangelised God’s Word to as many people as possible. When I learned about homosexuals in Bible class, or about AIDS (which we were told God had created to punish homosexuals for their sins), I didn’t think for a moment that I was one of them. Sure, my first real crush, when I was 11, had been on a boy – Elijah Wood, an actor about my age whose performance in the 1994 B-movie, North, had captured my heart. But at the time, before sexual maturity, I mistook the longing I felt for Elijah with the more sanitised desire to simply keep his company and be his best friend. I indiscriminately absorbed all of the lessons I learned about homosexuals, as if they were and would always be irrelevant to my life.
The summer after my sixth-grade year, my family left the community and we moved to a neighbouring town. I began seventh grade in a large public school, where there was definitely an in-crowd. My new classmates wasted little time informing me how unacceptable it was for a boy like me to behave the way I did – the way I enunciated my s-words, the way I brushed my auburn hair, which I had highlighted the previous summer with Sun-In. They called me a faggot, delivered me notes that said everyone knew my ‘dirty little secret’. They asked me frequently, ‘Are you a boy or a girl?’. Well, of course I was a boy, I would respond, trembling.
Meanwhile, I was beginning to sexually mature; I was soon developing crushes that inspired more than just a desire to keep a boy’s company. With horror, I realised that I might actually be what the kids were calling me – which, I knew in my bones, guaranteed me a tragically short life and a one-way ticket to hell. That, after all, was what the old form of homophobia entailed. Self-loathing.
To survive the onslaught, I defeminised myself. I lowered my voice, started wearing baggy jeans and sweatshirts, cut the highlights out of my hair, and replaced my Mariah Carey CDs with Nirvana. Soon, the fear and the anxiety became too much to bear, and the only refuge I found was in alcohol and drugs.
In high school, with each passing year, my drug use got worse. After graduation, I lasted one semester in college before dropping out. Two months later, at the age of 19, I had my first of several stays in a local psychiatric ward. I was delusional, addicted to drugs and suicidal.
It was during my second stay in the psychiatric ward that I was introduced to a 12-step programme, which was how I would eventually get sober in my early twenties. It was slow-going in the beginning of my sobriety to accept my homosexuality. I began to reconnect with the young boy I had once been, the boy whose interests expanded beyond what was typical for males. I experimented with bronzer and mascara, and got French manicures and pedicures.
Engaging in these behaviours felt liberating for a while, but eventually the novelty wore off. In fact, they started to feel performative. I realised I didn’t need those things to be my authentic self. My ideas, my voice, the way I treat other people – these are the things that make me the person I truly am.
In 2011, when I was 28, I fell in love with a man. The following year, I joined the fight for marriage equality. After we won that campaign, I knew I wanted to become a gay activist. I wanted to help create a world in which feminine boys and butch girls could exist peacefully in society. A world in which gender-nonconforming people were accepted as natural variations of their own sex. Minorities, sure, but real and valid nonetheless.
The trans question
In 2017, at the age of 33, I enrolled at Columbia University, New York to complete my undergraduate degree. There, I was shocked to discover how gay activism had evolved since marriage equality became the law of the land. The focus was now entirely on personal pronouns and on being ‘queer’. My classmates labelled me ‘cis’, short for cisgender. I didn’t even know what it meant. All I knew was that they called me ‘cis’ in the same cadence that the seventh graders had called me ‘fag’.
Soon, I learned about nonbinary identities, and that some people – many people – were literally arguing that sex, not gender, was a social construct. I met people who evangelised a denomination of transgenderism that I had never heard of, one that included people who had never been gender dysphoric and who had no desire to medically transition. I met straight people whose ‘trans / nonbinary’ identities seemed to be defined by their haircuts, outfits and inchoate politics. I met straight women with Grindr accounts, and listened to them complain about the ‘transphobic’ gay men who didn’t want to have sex with women.
All around me, it seemed, straight people were spontaneously identifying into my community and then policing our behaviours and customs. I began to think that this broadening of the ‘trans’ and ‘queer’ umbrella was giving a hell of a lot of people a free pass to express their homophobia.
At Columbia, I took classes on LGBT history, but much of that history was delivered through the lens of queer theory. Queer theorists appropriate French philosopher Michel Foucault’s ideas about the power of language in constructing reality. They argue that homosexuality didn’t exist prior to the late 19th century, when the word ‘homosexual’ first appeared in medical discourse. Queer theorists proselytise a liberation that supposedly results from challenging the concepts of empirical reality and ‘normativity’. But their converts instead often end up adrift in a sea of nihilism. Queer theory, which has become the predominant method of discussing and analysing gender and sexuality in universities, seemed to me to be more ideological than truthful.
In my classes on gender and sexuality in the Muslim world, however, I discovered something else, too. I learned about current medical practices in Iran, where gay sex is illegal and punishable by death, and where medical transition is subsidised by the state to ‘cure’ gays and lesbians who, the theocratic elite insists, are ‘normal’ people ‘trapped in the wrong bodies’. I privately drew parallels between the anti-gay laws and practices of Iran and what I saw developing in the West, but I convinced myself I was just being paranoid.
Then, I learned about what was happening to gender-nonconforming kids – that they were being prescribed off-label drugs to halt their natural development, so that they’d have time to decide if they were really transgender. If so, they would then be more successful at passing as the opposite sex in adulthood. Even worse, I learned that these practices were being touted by LGBT-rights organisations as ‘life-saving medical care’.
It felt like I was living in an episode of The Twilight Zone. How long were these kids supposed to remain on the blockers? And what happens in a few years, if they decide they’re not ‘truly trans’ after all, and all of their peers have surpassed them? Are they seriously supposed to commence puberty at 16 or 17 years of age? These questions rattled my brain for months, until I learned the actual statistics: nearly all children who are prescribed puberty blockers go on to receive cross-sex hormones. Blockers don’t give a kid time to think. They solidify him in a trans identity and sentence him to a lifetime of very expensive, experimental medicalisation.
I wondered how different these so-called trans kids were from the little boy I had been. Obviously, I grew up to be a gay man and not a transwoman. But how could gender clinicians tell the difference between a young boy expressing his homosexuality through gender nonconformity, and someone ‘born in the wrong body’? I decided to dig deeper into the real history of medical transition.
Medicalising homosexuality
What I learned validated all of my worst fears. I learned that for decades after their invention, synthetic ‘sex hormones’ were used by doctors and scientists who sought to ‘cure’ homosexuality, and by law enforcement to chemically castrate men convicted of committing homosexual acts.
I learned about actress and singer Christine Jorgensen, one of the first people in the US to become widely known for having ‘sex-reassignment’ surgery in the early 1950s. Jorgensen may now be celebrated by the modern ‘LGBTQIA+’ community as a trans icon, but he seemed more concerned with escaping his homosexuality, which he said was ‘deeply alien to my religious attitudes’. As Jorgensen put it, ‘I identified myself as female and consequently my interests in men were normal’.
I learned that of the first adolescents to be treated for gender dysphoria (or what was then called ‘gender identity disorder’) with puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in the 1990s and early 2000s, the vast majority were homosexual. And I learned that these studies inform current ‘gender-affirming care’ practices.
Soon, I met detransitioned gay men who had sought an escape from internalised and external homophobia in a transgender identity. They continue to suffer severe post-surgical complications, years after their vaginoplasties.
I began to fear we had reached a point of no return a couple of years ago, during a conversation I had with a supposedly ‘progressive’ friend. I told her that, if I had been a young boy now, I likely would have been prescribed puberty blockers and gone on to medically transition. ‘And you don’t think you would’ve been happy as a transwoman?’, she asked me. Her question left me speechless. I couldn’t find the words to state the obvious: that I am a gay man, not a transwoman; that statistics tell me my medical transition may not have been successful; and that I would suffer severe medical complications. In any case, if I had transitioned, I wouldn’t be living an authentic life. After all, isn’t that what this is supposed to be about? Living authentically?
Sylvester, an androgynous disco icon of the 1970s and 1980s, was once asked what gay liberation meant to him. He answered, ‘I could be the queen that I really was without having a sex change or being on hormones’. Perhaps I belong in an earlier era, when newly liberated gays and lesbians rebelled against the medical and psychiatric experiments they had long been subjected to. Perhaps my early aspiration of expanding what it means to be a boy or a girl was nothing but a pipe dream. In Europe, there is hope that these medical experiments will cease, and that gay and lesbian adolescents will be spared from a lifetime of medicalisation. But in the US, nearly eight years after same-sex marriage became the law of the land, it is full-steam ahead with these homophobic practices.
For voicing my concerns about gender-affirming care for minors, I have been called a transphobic bigot. If that’s what speaking out against the medicalisation of homosexuality makes me, then so be it.

Caribbean Costa Rica
Julie's age: 53
Puerto Viejo is a funky little Caribbean tourist town with people from all over the world, and some good food. Some of the trinkets really are made by locals and some are rather good. Try to avoid driving in at night because locals ride unlighted bicycles on a narrow unlit road and unsurprisingly there are deaths every year.

I'm very blessed that the queer group in our town is very open to gender. I met a person last week that uses it/its pronouns. Two agender people the other day were discussing their relationship with gender and neither of them had the same experience or definition of agender and both found the conversation fascinating instead of alienating. I described my gender as an ecosystem and sometimes it's heavy on the frogs and sometimes it's butterfly season and sometimes it just won't stop raining, and it didn't matter if it sounded like nonsense because even if no one quite related they understood that this was an internal definition of the self and that was what mattered.
And that's what I like about it- I like that I've found a funky little group of weirdos that find joy and beauty in all the ways that humans can be. It's how I feel queerness should be.

Special Treatment
Love is letting him pick the music.
a @steddielovemonth prompt | 519 words | CW: N/A | Rating: G
--
It comes to no surprise that Eddie’s particular about his music. He doesn’t hate other types, despite what he says and how he reacts to Wayne cranking up the bluegrass or the old school country. In fact, he loves exploring new genres and figuring out how they work. It’s what makes his songwriting so strong, he thinks.
But he’s spent too many years hearing how awful his music preference is. People shitting on his bands and his taste because they don’t understand, they’re not listening to it. They’re not even trying to hear what he has to say, what the music is trying to tell them. They just say it’s all screams and unnecessary guitar riffs.
So yes, he gets defensive and he’ll be the first to scrunch his nose up at other genres to keep up this scary façade he wears like armor.
“Do we have to listen to Madonna again?” Eddie whines as he drapes along Jane’s shoulders, putting all his weight on her.
She giggles and pushes at him. “Yes!”
And when the boys climb into his van on the way to school or Hellfire, Dustin asks without fail if they can play Weird Al. Eddie always scoffs and swats at his hand. “No one,” Eddie says with a severity he usually keeps for Hellfire alone, “touches my radio.”
“No one?” Dustin will counter, narrowing his eyes.
Eddie glowers. “No one.”
That’s how he likes things. With only the closest people knowing how he really feels about music, how deep his love goes that it transcends genre. He’s not heartless, he can appreciate a good tune no matter the nasally singer or funky lyrics. It’s just not something he advertises to the general public, or even his friends.
But then he’ll be driving Steve out to the little cafe he likes a few towns over, a day trip just the two of them, and Steve will happily swap tapes the entire way there. Sometimes it’s a mixtape, blending their tastes together, and other times he’ll pop Eddie’s tapes in and ask questions, replaying songs so he can try to make out the lyrics.
He tries to understand what Eddie hears, even if he doesn’t.
Eddie was destined to fall no matter what.
And when they’re at the trailer, hanging out with Wayne, and Steve changes Eddie’s tape for an old Johnny Cash one of Wayne’s, Eddie doesn’t make his usual comments. He doesn’t whine or stomp his foot, even for the hell of it to rile up Wayne, not when Steve’s singing along softly to the lyrics.
He doesn’t want Steve to feel the way he did about his own music, not when he gets enough shit from the kids about his other interests.
Wayne raises an eyebrow at him, smirking as he leans back in his recliner.
Eddie shrugs. He knows his feelings are written along his face clear as day, but he can’t find it in him to care. All he can do is get up and crank the volume up so they can belt along to Cash’s voice to “I Walk The Line.”

Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen
You decide to ask Buggy an important question but he has major doubts.
Rating: PG-13 just because of mentions of sex but nothing graphic at all. Warning: Insecure Buggy, mentions of an ex who was not nice to Buggy (no physical abuse, one mention of possible verbal abuse). There's a misunderstanding, there's tears, Buggy just isn't sure of anything. Mild angst. Lots of 'I love you's. A/N: A request from a lovely Anon wanting Buggy to be the one getting proposed to! This was sweet to write and I managed to get it done in one night. It just happened. And it was good to get it out of my system. Title comes from "Your Song" by Elton John.
All you said to Buggy at breakfast that morning was for him to dress nice and meet you on the docks after the work was done for the day. It didn’t ring suspicious to him at all, you had been talking about having a date night for a while, one away from the crew, the ship, just the two of you at some little restaurant or cafe, whatever it was you were in the mood for. Lately it had been crepes but to Buggy, that was more breakfast food than dinner.
So he did as you requested, even washing his face to refresh his makeup, making sure the bones on his forehead were perfect, the blue around his eyes the right amount of sparkly, and even made sure the red around his mouth was applied a little thicker than usual so he could cover your face with it when he kissed you (one of his favorite things to do). He made sure his clothes looked their best (a little grubby, maybe even a little bit of blood on the front) and perched his hat on his head, his long blue hair threaded to the top and coming off the sides; you said it reminded you of waterfalls when you first saw his hair that way and he brushed off his face turning red by insisting the sun was in his eyes, even though it was evening time inside a dimly lit pub.
You’d been together for three years now, the anniversary having been just two weeks ago. The two of you celebrated with a bottle of rum, no clothes, and the two of you spent the entire day together in the captain’s quarters. Buggy wondered if this was a followup to that, but you didn’t say anything about the anniversary this morning, just that you wanted to take him out. And he was fine with it, it was a nice break from the same ol’ food on the ship.
He only waited a few minutes down at the docks when you showed up. To you, dressing nice was your performance clothing. Loose fitting black and gray striped pants, your black ankle high boots, and a snug fitting black vest with a dark red liner. Honestly, it was Buggy’s favorite thing to see you wear and his favorite thing to take off you.
“So, where are we going?” He asked as you walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “You got me all dressed up and nowhere to go, love.”
“I’m taking you out, don’t fuss.” You told him as you took his gloved hand in yours, giving it a gentle squeeze as you led him to the streets. He looked around as he followed you, taking in the sights, sounds, and smell of the town. It was like any port town, really, with the fishy smells, the movement of people, and the sounds of chattering all around. He caught a whiff of a particularly funky smell and he made a face, frowning at you as you walked.
“Where are you taking me?” He asked as you made a sudden turn down an alley. “Hope it smells better than where we just were.”
“It will.” You squeezed his hand to reassure him, glancing back with a grin. He trusted you, sure, but the alley was narrow, there were some doors, garbage, stored goods, nothing that really said romantic but at the same time, the two of you didn’t really fit the definition.
Hell, the two of you met at a bar years ago. He was drinking away his shattered heart while you were showing off your ability to swallow swords in front of a crowd, snatching handfuls of berry from the spectators and stuffing it down your shirt for safe keeping. He caught your eye right as you opened your mouth and tilted your head back, allowing the sword to safely slip down your throat. You gave him a wink as the hilt touched your lips.
He was in love and forgot all about whats-their-name.
And Buggy moves fast. He invited you to join his band of freaks while you were between his legs in his room, demonstrating your swallowing abilities in person. You called it an audition while he called it a first date.
That was three and a half years ago. It took him six months to actually get the courage to ask if you wanted to be with him as a couple, no other hookups or things like that. Just you and him, because well, Buggy sometimes didn’t really know how to express his feelings and he didn’t know if he should just say he was in love with you or if that would come off too strong? Would it scare you off the ship and out of his life? And he got nervous when you didn’t respond, but he also chose the worst time to ask as you were practicing your technique with two swords this time, but your eyes were comically large as you stared at him in shock.
You couldn’t really speak (Buggy thought from disgust but again, swords down your throat) so you just took his hand and gave it a squeeze to reassure him.
It felt like forever until you finally stopped in front of a door at the end of the alley. Buggy looked around, wondering where you two were, when you looked at him with a big smile and opened the door for him, gesturing for him to go in. He did so, straightening his hat before stepping over the threshold.
The smell of something savory hit him almost immediately before the sounds of people cooking came next. The place was small, only a few tables, one of which was occupied already with a couple who were staring lovingly into each other’s eyes over candlelight. It was a little much. You led him to a table and pulled his chair out for him, still smiling as he sat down. This wasn’t really what he expected. White, wrought iron tables with doilies decorating the top. The chairs matched with pink seat cushions tied to them. Pink and white candles were lit in the middle, casting a warm glow at those seated at the table. Buggy looked over at you while a server came over with menus and water glasses for the two of you.
“How… did you hear of this place?” He asked as he looked around while you took your seat. “It’s an interesting… choice.”
“Heard about it by chance.” You told him as you opened the menu. “Been craving crepes and they have good ones apparently.”
“That’s breakfast food.” He pointed out as he glanced over the menu. He’d just get something savory but have something sweet to take back to the ship. “You’re weird.”
“I love you too, Buggy.” You chuckled as you set the menu down, smiling at him from across the table. He tried to ignore you, hiding his blushing face behind the menu. Even after three years, he still wasn’t used to those words being directed at him. He said it back to you, of course, and showed you in different ways how he loved you, but you would just say it whenever you felt like it, catching him off guard, sometimes making him stumble over his words, but you meant it when you said it.
When he finally set the menu down, you reached across the table for his hand. He let you hold it without much thought, your thumb brushing over his knuckles softly while your other hand reached into your pocket. Your smile looked a bit nervous now and he wondered what you were doing; your hand came up to the table with a small black box in it and he wondered what the hell was going on.
And then the box was opened, revealing a gold ring. Buggy leaned forward to get a better look at it, squinting in the candlelight. It was gold, he could see that, and the design almost looked like the blade of a sword with a stone where the hilt would be. He looked between you and the box, a frown appearing on his face as you took the ring out of the box and held it out to him.
“What the hell is that?” He asked, voice cracking nervously as you chuckled, looking just as nervous as him.
“I love you, Buggy.” You told him again. “And… and I saw this ring at our last stop and thought it would look so good on you, y’know? The stone reminded me of the color of your eyes and the design reminded me of us and and how we met… and I realized how much you mean to me and how great these last few years have been-”
“Is this a breakup ring?” He demanded angrily, jerking his hand back and knocking his water glass over. He pushed back from the table to avoid the spill. “Why the hell would you give that to me?! You should have just said something if you didn’t want to be with me!”
‘What? It’s, it’s not a breakup ring, that’s not a thing, Buggy!” You told him with a laugh; he glared at you, whether over the ring or the laugh, you weren’t sure, so you grabbed his hand once more. “Buggy, I’m asking you to marry me, you goof.”
Marry me.
Oh. So, not a breakup ring. Not that that’s a real thing anyway.
“Why?” He asked suspiciously.
“Why what, Buggy?”
He didn’t pull back this time, the glare turning into a perplexed expression as he looked across the table at you. Was this for real or some kind of joke? You never played a joke on him in the past, that wasn’t your thing. His ex did that sometimes: say something cruel to Buggy then claim it was just a joke, don’t be so sensitive, Bugs, geez when he would even look a bit upset. “Is this some kind of joke?”
“No?”
“It’s not funny.” He shook his head and pulled back, leaving his hand with you as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked away. The couple at the other table were holding hands and smiling at each other over the candlelight. It was kind of gross. “I’m not laughing.”
“Buggy, I promise it’s not a joke.” You insisted, the nervousness gone and replaced with concern. “I want to marry you, babe, really.”
He glanced over at you quickly before looking away again. It was hard not to think of it as a joke. Why would you want to marry him? You said you loved him all the time, whether it was waking him up with kisses and kind words, over breakfast when you brought him your coffee, after practices and performances, and always before, during, and after sex. But that didn’t mean you would want to marry him. He figured that was something that wouldn’t ever happen to him.
You wanted him to know you loved him unconditionally, that the ring meant that, but his reaction to it wasn’t what you expected. You didn’t want to draw attention to him, noting that the kitchen seemed to get a bit quieter since you pulled the ring out and the server hadn’t come by yet. You swallowed the lump in your throat and tried to smile.
“Do… you need to think about it?” You asked as you put the ring back in the box. “I mean, if you don’t want to, that’s… that’s okay. We probably should have talked about it before I sprung it on you.” You closed the box and stuck it back in your pocket before squeezing his hand once more. “Buggy, I’m sorry if I upset you.”
I’m sorry if I upset you. That… that was a phrase he wasn’t used to hearing until you came into his life. He took a deep breath, exhaling slowly before he turned to look back at you. He wanted to ignore the way your eyes glistened with tears as you picked the menu back up to look at it.
“Why are you crying?” He asked.
“Because I’m upset.” You told him with a sniff. “I’m upset that I… I made you uncomfortable.”
“Oh.” He waited a moment before saying, “D’you really want to marry me?”
You looked over the top of the menu with a nod and sniffle. “Really.”
“Really?” He didn’t sound convinced.
“Yes, really.” You said, lowering the menu and wiping at your eyes. “I am asking Captain Buggy the Clown, the Flashiest Fool I’ve ever met, for his hand in marriage. I want to marry you because I love you, Buggy.” You hesitated before reaching into your pocket and pulling the box back out. “I love you so much, you take such good care of me, of the rest of the freaks, and… I feel so lucky you chose me.”
He didn’t say anything as he straightened his hand out for you, wiggling his ring finger. You took the ring out of the box and watched him as you slowly slid it onto his finger. He pulled his hand back to look at it, tilting his hand in different ways to get the perfect view of the stone in the candlelight. Finally, he nodded, clearing his throat as he held his hand back over to you.
“Y-Yes.” He said, voice catching, sounding just a bit higher before he cleared his throat again. “You can have the honor of marrying me.”
“Yea?” A grin slowly started to spread across your face. “Really, Buggy? It’s a yes?”
“Well, it’s not a no.” He said with a shrug. “If you’ll have me, of course, baggage and all.”
“Why wouldn’t I?” You chuckled as you brought his hand closer, kissing the knuckle above his ring finger before looking up at him with a big smile. “I love you, Buggy, baggage and all.”
He couldn’t help but glance over at the couple. They were looking in your direction, having now heard some of the conversation. Buggy pulled his hand away from you and held his hand up, showing off the ring to them.
“Yea, I’m getting married. How ‘bout that?” He laughed. One of them looked expectantly at the other, who just scooted their chair away, looking uncomfortable. With a huff, the other stormed out, mumbling something about it’s been how long and that guy gets a ring? And well, Buggy felt pretty smug about that. Of the two couples in the place that night, two had a miscommunication but one got engaged. He glanced back over at you and leaned back in his chair. “So, when we doing it? When do you make an honest clown outta me?”
“Whenever you want, Buggy.” You smiled as he reached across the table for your hand. “I love you.”
“Yea, the ring makes it pretty clear that you do.” He replied as he took your hand in his. “We gotta get a matching one for your hand now, love. It’s naked without one.”
“We can do that.” You assured him. He looked down at your hand in his, a smile appearing on his face as he looked at the ring once more.
“You really want to marry me?” He asked, needing that assurance from you once more.
You squeezed his hand gently. “I really do, Buggy. I promise.”
“Yea?”
“Yea.”
“Okay.” He nodded as he glanced up at you, meeting your eyes. “I love you.”
“I love you too, Buggy.”

Having Vash and Wolfwood as roommates would include;;
warnings;; i don't define a relationship, but it kinda hints at all three of you being together, lots of fluff, nothing nsfw (but I'm thinking about doing some nsfw headcanons for this in the future if anyone is interested)
How it happens/Meeting Vash
You’re basically desperate when your plans for moving in with your ex best friend fall through, leaving you basically homeless right before the semester is about to start
Looking online, in the newspaper even, you’re searching for any place that doesn’t look scummy, creepy, or charges you up the ass
Knowing full well that living without roommates in this economy is impossible, you’re hoping to find some nice people-
And boy do you luck out
Posted on some stupid roommate finder website is an add for a three bedroom apartment that’s in a sort of sketchy part of town, but offers protection for anyone willing to brave it. The guy that posted it seems nice, the ad is kinda funny, and the rent is cheap
You decide to try it out
When you first meet Vash, it’s in a little coffee shop near the uni you’re attending. It’s a safe spot to meet with a stranger, and he was cool with whatever you suggested. Green flag.
He’s pretty nice, funny, and insanely cute. He tells you that the other roommate, a man he calls “Nicholas” is at work, but from the way Vash talks about him you assume he’s a chill dude too
You can’t help but feel a bit intimidated by how attractive Vash is. He’s blonde, with a cute little mole, and his eyes are like…woah
Plus he’s got a cute little piercing !!!
No guy this good looking should be this nice
You decide pretty quickly this feels like a good match, and bam the deed is done
You move in next week, get your stuff situated and suddenly you have two new roommates
Meeting Wolfwood
It’s almost disappointing how little you see of the other roommate in the first week. Vash explains that he’s been taking on extra shifts at work but you still kinda feel like maybe the man is avoiding you?
All you know of the man is that he smokes, drinks a little, and has weird taste in movies
You see random objects strewn across the house that belong to him and you start trying to figure out his personality in your head
You decide that he’s probably some skinny stoner, and you’re pretty confident in that hypothesis until you actually see him
You bump into him in the morning right before you head off to start your first day of class
You literally bump into him-
As he’s leaving the bathroom, you’re in the hallways and a collision occurs. To make matters worse he’s shirtless
And he’s hot
He’s wearing sweatpants, his toned torso out in the open, and his hair is a bit of a mess. You can tell it’s sort of a short wolf-cut though- and it’s definitely working on him
He kinda smirks down at you and says it’s nice to finally “run” into you
And fuck- how are you supposed to survive having TWO hot roomates
General Chaos
You find out pretty quickly that these two are not the most normal people
And you freaking love it
Once Wolfwood’s insane work schedule chills out, you finally get chance to see the duo in action
They kind act like an old married couple. It’s a bit scary at first, and you fear you might be third wheeling but you soon mix into their dynamic quite nicely
Once wolfwood starts calling you some funky nickname you know you’ve wormed your way into their hearts
Your schedules all clash a bit, but you all find time to see each other throughout the day. Wolfwood has a morning class like you, and so you end up eating breakfast together most days. You start taking turns making food for each other
No matter what you both at least drink an entire pot of coffee together, and complain about life
Vash and you meet up in the afternoon, since your afternoon classes are close to each other. He’s the one who texts you the first time to ask if you want to meet up- and your heart does a little flip
It has become a habit. Whenever you two aren’t busy with other things, you’ll sit outside on a grassy area and talk for a second
All three of you hang out at night when Wolfwood isn’t working insane night shifts
Saturdays are movie nights. You HAVE to attend movie nights
It gets crazy. Especially when Wolfwood graciously shares his stuff.
The first time they see you cry- you’re pretty sure they might explode
You’re stressed from school, whatever job you might have, and probably a few family problems too. Vash walks in to your room to ask you what you want for dinner, sees the tears and whips out his phone to tell Wolfwood
He then immediately rolls you up in a blanket and makes you cuddle him on the couch to destress.
He’s insanely patient with you, rubbing your back and letting you vent
Wolfwood kicks open the door with your favorite comfort food moments later, and the three of you sit and watch a stupid movie
Wolfwood keeps his arm around you, and lets you rest your head on his chest
Vash’s hand is in yours
They’re pretty respectful of your privacy at first- but they’re both like the clingiest friends ever
Vash doesn’t mean to- and will apologize if he oversteps boundaries
Wolfwood on the other hand just doesn’t care. He’ll waltz into your room and go “Hey- stop screaming- I need you to make sure I got this math correct.”
Crazy competitive game nights, that sometimes end in you pulling Wolfwood off of Vash as Vash screams for his life to be spared (he like staking stars from Wolfwood in mario party) (It ends in bloodshed every time) (He should really stop)
Grocery shopping is just Wolfwood acting like a dad while you and Vash are off shoveling sweets into the cart (He secretly puts his favorite treats in the cart too though)
You and Vash stage an intervention for Wolfwood when he gets a little bit too into buying random jewelry covered in crosses (“we know you have religious trauma- and yes you look good in them- but come on-”). He walks into the apartment, sees the sign, and then walks out
Vash invites his brother over once and you’re pretty sure you’re about to be cut. (“No Vash- Knives is nice…he’s just scary.” “He just has a resting “I want to murder” you face!”)
Feelings bloom?
They really warm up to you. One day it becomes clear that you’re just…part of them now. Like they can’t imagine you ever leaving their side
It’s the same for you. You walk out one day, and grab your mug of coffee from Wolfwood and…you just kinda spot and think that you really like these guys. Things feel right
I think overtime things just slowly get intimate-
like you start holding Vash’s hand just casually throughout the day
And sometimes Wolfwood will come rest his head on your shoulder from behind, and you’ll reach up and run your hand through his hair
Casual soft touches just become a thing you know?
Vash lets his hand rise under your shirt a bit when you’re sitting with him on the couch
And eventually…maybe they become less casual?
Wolfwood puts his hand on your waist as he passes by behind you
The sexual tension is like palpable
I don’t really know who finally kisses who- or how things go from wholesome to spicy- but it gets there eventually
And soon you three are more than just roommates, more than friends, and even if you don’t know what it is- it’s kinda perfect
You renew the lease for the next year, and you’re pretty damn happy you were homeless for that little bit now

going to the carnival hcs; m.k.
pairing: marc spector x reader, steven grant x reader, jake lockley x reader, the gang's all here
summary: the carnival's in town! some headcanons for how you spend your time there with the boys.
warnings: mildly suggestive near the end, but essentially just pure fluff all the way through. reader is called princesa once, no descriptions otherwise.
word count: 2.0k
moon knight masterlist | all masterlists
the carnival rolls into town—of course you’re all going!
and it’s kind of perfect because they all have their favourite parts.
food
marc is your food guy—he won’t be the one to suggest the funky fair foods like frog legs or peanut putter pickle corn dogs, but he will go halfsies with you on anything you want to get so you can try a lot of different things.
you’re giving this look to the deep fried oreos stand that has marc pursing his lips, obviously hesitant even though he offers no resistance when you direct the two of you towards it.
“if you want cookies, I saw a place near the entrance,” he suggests in a placating sort of way, as though he could dissuade you from trying any of the monstrosities at your disposal.
“but…” you gesture at the sign, look at it! and he’s never been more aware of how much you’ve got him wrapped around your little finger because he’s buying an order for you without a second thought.
“it’s… very sweet,” he remarks after his first bite. “not sure if it’s much of an improvement on the original thing.”
“then why do you keep eating it?” you make grabby hands towards the tray in his hand to try one, and he dangles it out of your reach. “wha—hey!”
“just hang on a sec.” he polishes off his cookie, tongue darting out to catch some errant sugar on his lips before pulling you deep into a kiss.
he’s grinning wide at his own cheesiness before he even draws back completely, your face is burning and, yeah—it’s pretty sweet.
meanwhile steven kind of taps out for this. veganism doesn’t exactly pair well with the hodgepodge of carnival foods being offered, but he will take a good sorbet when it gets particularly hot out.
if he fronts after marc or jake eat something non-vegan, steven will find the nearest lemonade stand to wash the taste out of his mouth. he gets a different one every time, and almost drinks the entire bubblegum flavoured lemonade even though he dislikes it.
jake secretly thinks it’s good. marc fronts again near the end of the cup and immediately tosses it in the trash.
jake has simpler tastes but will try to deviate a little in spirit of the carnival. as long as it’s generally something he likes, like fried chicken or a burger, he won’t mind if it comes in a cone or has a shit-ton of cheese piled on top. is the one to pay eight dollars for a cob of corn.
games
marc and steven will only play the fair game scams if you want to, but jake has no qualms about them at all. you mention that there’s a prize plushie you think is cute and he’s already pulling you towards the booth, eyes glinting in a way that you know he’s up to trouble.
jake then proceeds to crush every single game you come across.
skeeball? he’s getting 100 points with every ball he throws. hoops? draft this man into the nba, he’s sinking baskets like your life depends on it.
jake’s bracing a pellet gun against his shoulder, lining up the scope with the targets at the end of the booth when it finally clicks.
he might not be wearing the suit, but that doesn’t mean that khonshu isn’t with him. you lean in over his shoulder. “wait, are you—?”
bam, bam, bam. three shots, three bullseyes. the people around you are whooping and hollering, but jake just turns to you with a smug look on his face.
“didn’t even need him for this one, princesa, but—” his eyes dart to the top of the booth and you can imagine the god sitting up there, watching you. “what is true justice if not scamming a scammer, hm?”
the attendant comes around to give jake his prize, which he presents to you with flourish and a wink.
“now, is there anything else you want? the fist of vengeance—” he drops his voice down to what you know as an imitation of khonshu “—still has a few games left in him.”
marc fronts again to find his wallet much lighter and his arms full of plushies that jake won for you and just sighs.
steven must’ve read a book about the design behind carnival games at some point because boy is he knowledgeable about it.
it’s a bit of diversion from his usual egyptology, but he seems to know all the tricks of the major games like the back of his hand and leans in close to your ear to tell you exactly what’s happening as you watch other people play.
“you see that?” he points towards the ring toss booth, where a handful of people are fruitlessly bouncing rings off the rims of bottles.
you already know what’s coming but still, you ask: “do you wanna play?”
“oh, no, love, now the rings—” he brings the tips of his forefinger and thumb together in demonstration “—they’re barely big enough to fit over the bottles, you’d have to hit it dead on to have a chance. even then, the material isn’t any help, the rings’ll bounce right off like—that!”
he snaps his fingers, and you giggle a little at his theatrics. the sound always makes him blush a little, and he turns back to the game to distract himself before he gets too flustered.
someone puts down twenty dollars for a bucket of rings and he clicks his tongue in disapproval. “poor buggers.”
maybe he says it a little too loudly, catching the attention of some of the players and his face flushes red as he stammers an apology. you shove him playfully, face similarly burning. “steven!”
“sorry!”
the only exception for marc is the horizonal bar game, you know, the one where someone has to hang from a bar for some length of time? it’s practically impossible because it rotates under your hands, yeah, yeah, steven—he knows.
but marc’s a guy with far above average fitness who climbs up walls on the reg. doesn’t even need khonshu’s power to beat it, he just hangs up there, smirking at you as the timer counts down. it’s the easiest prize he’s ever won in his life.
rides
marc’s whole life is a rollercoaster, so he’s ok.
but in all seriousness, the midway rides aren’t really his thing. they’re transported in from who-knows-where, then set up in a parking lot by who-knows-who, and you’re supposed to just let them flip you upside down over and over again while paying ten bucks for the honour? no. he does not trust them.
steven and jake, however, see all the bright lights and loud music and are a little more favourable.
steven probably feels nauseous at the idea of being put upside down, but travelling fast in a circle, or spinning around in teacups? he’s so down. will join you in spinning the teacups to the max or sport a devilish grin as he singlehandedly spins the teacup as you scream.
(will give you a lil kiss on the forehead as an apology if he accidentally takes it too far)
jake sees the crazier rides as a challenge. won’t push you to do them if you really aren’t comfortable, but he gets this spark in his eyes and promises to keep you safe if you ride with him.
what does that mean? it means that he has full confidence that if there’s a failure in any of the safety mechanisms, he can suit up and save you before anything bad happens.
marc is absolutely flabbergasted that jake “protector of the body” lockley even considers going on any of these deathtraps. loudly protests from within as jake tells you about how fast his reaction time is—it doesn’t matter, jake, just don’t take them on the ride in the first place!
the Ferris Wheel SceneTM goes a bit differently depending on who’s fronting at the time.
steven absolutely insists on going on the ferris wheel and will wait any length of line so that you can ride it.
“look at that!” he’s pressed against your side, shoulder to hip, and uses your joined hands to point out landmarks in the distance as you climb in height. the city lights glitter across the horizon, and steven laughs at the spectacle of it all.
he’s probably imagined this very moment happening ever since you told him that the carnival was coming to town—sitting on top of a ferris wheel with you at his side, being able to kiss you at the top.
“did you have fun?” you bump into his shoulder, smiling at how happy he looks.
“fun? love, this is—” he shakes his head. “today has been like a dream. you’re like a dream.”
he says the last part like a confession, grinning, and you feel his happiness when he finally gets to press his lips to yours.
jake suggests you go on the ferris wheel in the same way as when he suggested the two of you cheat at the carnival games, so you’re immediately suspicious.
“stop looking at me like that.” he tries and fails to keep a smirk off his face, giving you an innocent look as he rests a hand on your knee. “isn’t it beautiful outside?”
it is. you take your eyes off him for one moment to admire the view and his hand creeps higher, fingertips pressing into your thigh.
“jake!” your eyes widen, and the bastard has the audacity to laugh. he leans in close, lips brushing against the shell of your ear.
“nobody can see us up here—it’s just you and me.” his lips move down to graze your jaw, and your breath catches in your throat. your heart flutters.
“I like the sound of that.” jake pulls back slightly to see the small smile on your face. “’you and me.’”
it’s like you’ve taken the wind out of his horny sails. he can’t help but to smile back, and when he kisses you again, on the lips this time, you know that he agrees with you.
the ferris wheel is the only ride you can convince marc to go on; no matter what he says, he’s a big softie at heart.
he keeps an arm wrapped around you the entire time, holding you close. the scent of him envelopes you like a warm blanket.
marc doesn’t say a lot, preferring to just enjoy your company as you slowly make your way to the top. you don’t mind—you just rest your head on his shoulder and wait for him to open up on his own.
when you stop at the top, it’s like you’re in a movie. the neon lights spread out beneath you, your quiet breaths in the cabin, the soft kiss he presses to the top of your head.
“I love you,” he murmurs, and it means so much more than you’ll ever know. you smile up at him and he looks back at you with the softest expression you’ve ever seen—like he’s at finally at peace, and you’re the reason why.
you can’t help but kiss him, then—let him taste the words as you say “I love you, too.”

Starstruck [rockstar! reader x tomura shigaraki]
cw: obsession(?), cursing
other: fem! reader, modern (quirkless) au, format is a bit funky bc i didn’t intend it to reach this length
wc: 3k
synopsis: tomura didn’t plan on falling for the frontwoman of some band he’s never heard of before, but once he saw you something changed.
✦ Tomura’s favorite band was in town and he wanted to have a good view of the stage, so he made sure to queue up early. Like most people, he was solely going for the headliners, without any real knowledge of the openers.
✦ When doors finally opened, he managed to snag a spot close to center barricade. He was already annoyed at how close everyone was to him and he knew it would only get worse as the night went on.
✦ The first openers went on and they didn’t catch his eye nor did they distract him from the bodies pressed against him. Their music felt too generic for his taste and the band members were dressed like every other person in the venue. Once they finished their set, he pulled out his phone to check how many songs the next band would be doing. He read that they would do anywhere from 5-8 songs depending on the night and he impatiently drummed his hands on the barricade and let out a sigh.
✦ The crowd cheered as each member walked onto stage and he clapped along half-heartedly. That was until his eyes fell on you as you strutted out on stage towards the mic with your guitar in hand. He felt his chest swell with excitement as you introduced your band to the crowd. He took note of your name and watched eagerly as you began to play.
✦ A couple songs in and everyone and everything else in the room disappeared in his eyes. All the bodies pressed against him faded, the murmurs of the strangers beside him were drowned out. Hell, even the other members on stage weren’t there to him. He was simply hooked on you, he found your presence alone intoxicating.
✦ Tomura was so focused on you that he hadn’t noticed how he excitedly clapped his hands at the end of each song or how loud he yelled when you hit your high notes. You took note of him and made sure to flash him a smile. He felt his own smile on his face as he cheered you on. You sang some lines as you looked at him and again he felt something in him, a tinge in his chest.
✦He had been to tons of shows in the past, but never had he gained so much interest so quickly. Maybe it was the way you carried yourself with such confidence or the way your eyes closed when you sang, clearly giving it all you had, or maybe it was the way the stage lighting hit you perfectly. Tomura couldn’t quite place it, but he wasn’t complaining. He was happy to have his eyes glued to such a beautiful girl like you, especially when you interacted with him so much. You made him feel special, and in his eyes, he was. It didn’t take that long before he was convincing himself that you thought the same things about him.
✦ Before he knew it, you were announcing your last song and he frowned. You saw this happen in real-time and even gave him your own little pout and mouthed a little “I’m sorry.”
✦ You were used to crowds writing you off as an opener and not really caring. You were also used to people who knew all the words by heart. The silver haired boy stood front row lay in a weird grey area. You could tell he didn’t know the words, yet you could hear him above all else. You wanted to win him over and unbeknownst to you, you already had.
✦ You were sweaty and tired as you told the crowd that you’d be at the merch table after the show. You made sure to make eye contact to hopefully coax him to come by after, you saw his eyes light up as you did so. You and your band mates thanked the crowd. You pulled up the setlist that had been taped by your mic stand and saw a wall of hands fly up when you held it above your head. You watched as your bandmates tossed their setlists and picks into the crowd, but you already knew who you were giving yours to.
✦ You walked to the edge of the stage and stretched your arm as far as you could to give it to your biggest supporter of the night. You thanked him with your hands over your heart and a little bow. You saw him smile and nod at you as he held the setlist in his hands. You walked off stage waving at the other attendees with your smile shining bright, head held high.
✦ He held it in his hands astonished that you handed it to him. Most times artists just crumple it and throw it to someone, but you made the effort to come over to him. The way you smiled at him made his head spin, he looked at the paper in his hands and saw that it had kiss marks on it. The shade matched the lipstick you had been wearing and he assured himself that it was a sign.
✦ The energy in the crowd grew as the minutes until the headliners came on stage edged closer to zero. Tomura’s energy grew as the minutes until he would get to see you dwindled down. He heard the first chords of their opening song start and immediately perked up. He had waited all day for this and he couldn’t believe it was happening. But, whenever there was a pause in between songs he found that he couldn’t keep focus on the band on stage. He loved their music, but he felt something different when it came to you. He zoned in and out when the music would play through the speakers, bass booming through his body. He jumped around and sang, he was having the time of his life.
✦ When the band announced they were on their last song, Tomura froze. He felt a jolt of electricity through his body, he was nervous because the set ending meant he would meet you soon after, he wasn’t ready. He shook himself out of his head and lost himself in the music once more.
✦ The drummer had thrown and drumstick into the crowd and Tomura ended up catching. When he turned to make his way out of the pit, his eyes fell on a young kid. He overheard the kid’s brother say something along the lines of “next time you’ll get it, buddy.” So without any hesitation he tapped the kid on the shoulder and extended the stick to him. The kid turned and squealed excitedly. “What are you supposed to say?” The brother chirped. “Th-thank you!” Tomura smiled at the two boys and went about making his way to you.
✦ Most people would’ve kept it for themselves, but Tomura had a soft spot for kids at gigs. Reminded him of when he was young and all he wanted to do was go to shows. Plus, he already had the setlist from you and as far as he was concerned that was better than a drumstick from a drummer he didn’t even know the name of.
✦ He saw the line at the merch table and his heart sank, no way you’d stay that long. He wasn’t going to give up though, but he figured he had enough time to fix himself up a bit. He wormed his way through the crowd and slipped into the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and shook his head in disbelief. He combed his hands through his shaggy hair and tried to make himself presentable. He took off his hoodie and wiped the sweat from his body best he could. He took a deep breath before returning to the line, which was even longer now.
✦ You looked at the line in between meeting people and signing things. You were amazed the line was this long, usually you were lucky if there was a handful or two waiting for you guys. Your members were visibly tired and they could tell most people only wanted to meet you anyways. You heard them mutter something amongst themselves as you posed for photos. One of them settled behind the merch table to take over sales, whilst the others walked off to help move the stage equipment to the trailer.
✦ Shortly after, a worker from the venue came over to and said you had to pack up and get out of the venue. You looked at the people in line and frowned. You walked over to the merch table and told your fellow bandmate what the worker said. “What about these people?” You said. They proceeded to stand on the table and shout to the line that you’d be finishing the meet and greet in the parking lot since security was kicking you out.
✦ Tomura heard what they had said and checked his phone for the time, it was already past midnight. His phone wasn’t even halfway in his pocket before a security guard came up to him and ushered him out. He looked at you waving to the line and smiled to himself. When he neared the doors he felt the cold air and quickly pulled his hoodie over his head.
✦ He thought about the weather and how cold it was. He was hit with a wave of guilt, you would be waiting in the cold because of him. He saw the line form near the back of the venue and contemplated just walking to the subway station. He realized how silly it would be to leave after waiting this long and he had himself convinced that you’d be upset if you didn’t get to meet him.
✦ You put on a jacket, but felt it ruined your outfit. You dug through your suitcase and found a flannel, you figured it was better than nothing and its colors matched your fit well. You walked out and saw the line, it was significantly shorter than it had been, but you didn’t blame them for going home. Your eyes trailed down the line and at the end you saw him, the boy that had looked up at you with such adulation during your set. You smiled and waved at him and he waved back sheepishly.
✦ Tomura’s cheeks flushed when you waved at him, he was hoping that he could just play it off as the cold when he spoke to you. His hands felt tingly and his stomach was doing flips. With each step he took, the reality set in more and more. You were right there mere meters away from him. He saw how you smiled with the others and brought them in for hugs. He heard your laugh and nearly fell to his knees. He couldn’t believe how pretty it was. Your voice grew louder as he was the next person, and the last person, in line. He completely froze up as your kind eyes met his, he was starstruck.
✦ You waved goodbye to the girl whose album you’d just signed then turned your attention to him. You smiled in his direction and opened your arms for him. He didn’t move and you pouted. “Come on, I don’t bite.” You tried to lighten the mood and cocked your head.
✦ Slowly he walked into your embrace and wrapped his arms around you. Your warmth felt so comforting that he let the hug linger for a couple seconds before breaking it off. He mustered up all the courage he could to speak. “You were amazing tonight.” You held your head high and smiled before thanking him. “I’m glad you think so…” You trailed off trying to get his name.
✦ “Tomura. Sorry, I should’ve led with that. I’m Tomura.” He looked at the ground when he spoke, hands shoved in his hoodie pocket, nervously twiddling his thumbs. “Well it’s nice to meet you Tomura, I’m y/n. Thank you so much for waiting, I know it’s cold.” You could see redness on his cheeks and felt bad for the poor boy.
✦ “I’m sorry for keeping you out in it.” Tomura was beating himself up mentally. “Don’t worry about it, being with you is enough to warm my heart.” You tried not to cringe at your words, but you figured artists said things like that all the time. This time his face went red and you could tell it wasn’t from the cold this time. You let out a little laugh and he felt the warmth in his chest return.
✦ Your words just affirmed his delusions. He took his hands out of his pockets and reached them out to you. To his pleasant surprise, you took his hands in yours. He was ecstatic that he didn’t have to ask, it’s like you knew what he wanted. “y/n, I’m so glad that we got to meet. Next time you tour, I’ll make sure to come cheer you on.” He spoke whilst holding eye contact this time and saw your doe eyes staring back at him.
✦ His hands were warm as they held yours, you didn’t want to let go of the warmth. You took in his words and were touched. “Thank you, it means the world to me. I feel so lucky that I have someone like you.” You meant a supporter like him, but to Tomura it meant that you were lucky to have him in your life period. His thoughts began to spiral, but he held his tongue hoping you would continue and you did. “I’ve got to get going so we can make it to the next city on time. I look forward to seeing you again. Next time we come through, I’ll make sure to look for you, Tomur.” You gave his hands a slight squeeze before letting go.
✦ Hearing his name fall from your lips felt heavenly. He was so drunk off the feeling that he hadn’t realized you let go of him, his hands still hovered empty in the air. Once he felt the cold, he was brought back into the moment. “Thank you for taking this time to be with me.” He opened his arms for a hug goodbye and you stepped into his arms. His eyes shut and he took in the moment. The way your hair smelled, the warmth of you against his body, your little hums of whatever song was stuck in your head. He was assured he was in heaven.
✦ Again, he was sucked back into reality when the cold returned in your absence. You took a couple steps back and waved. “Get home safe!” You said with a smile. He waved back and nodded before turning about-face and heading towards the street.
✦ You knocked on the van door before opening it. “God, you took so long with that guy. You think he’s cute or something?” One of your members said as you climbed in. You hadn’t really thought about it, you took a second to process it. He had red eyes that you’ve never seen before, his hair was fluffy, bangs were cute, he was visibly nervous, and he had that little mole under his lip. “Maybe.” You wondered if he would actually show up at your next gig in the city. You had heard it so many times before, part of you hoped it would be different this time. You couldn’t tell if it was because you wanted a fan to stay for once or if what you really wanted was to see Tomura again.
✦ He sat on the subway and swiped through the videos and pictures of you he had taken. He was still in awe of you. He admired your lyrics, loved the passion you emitted when you performed, and the sound of your laugh made him feel something he hadn’t felt before. But most of all, he was enamored by the way you looked at him. The way you smiled at him as you sang, the way you scanned the crowd to find him with the setlist in your hands. The little look of excitement when you saw him in line. The way your face seemingly lit up when you spoke his name. Your words played on repeat in his head.
✦ When he got home he couldn’t help, despite how tired he was, but hop on his pc and look you up. He saw that your band’s instagram had already posted crowd photos of the night, he clicked through and stopped when he saw one with him in it. A photographer had caught the moment you handed him the setlist. Immediately he set it as his desktop photo, tracing your image with a finger on his monitor. He pulled out his phone and checked your instagram. A smile grew on his lips as he saw you had posted that picture on your story. He took note that you had drawn a heart over the photo, you drew one on the center of the photo, right where he just so happened to be.
✦ He felt a tinge in his chest, it felt nice to have his feelings validated. He opened up your band’s website and made sure to buy all your merch, he streamed all your music and promoted you however he could. He loved you and as far as he was convinced you loved him too. He opened up a ticketing app to see if he could get a ticket to another stop of the tour to see you. He frowned when he saw that every stop was sold out.
✦ He pulled up the tour poster to see which date was the last one you were doing then headed to a reseller site. He didn’t care about the price, he was seeing you again. Once he confirmed his purchase he created a countdown on his desktop. Tomura leaned back and it hit him how tired he was. He didn’t even bother to shower, partially because of the aforementioned tiredness, but mostly because he wanted your fragrance to stay on him as long as possible. Tomura settled into bed and thought about the two of you together, hoping it would help him dream of you.
a/n: PLEASE LMK WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS BC I CANT TELL IF ITS CORNY OR NOT BC ITS LIKE ONE OF MY CHILDREN okay sorry for yelling,, depending on how this is received i have an idea for a follow up <3 this was supposed to get posted a month ago but uni ate my ass before i could edit lmao but we are back in business baybee !

So, which run from Scarlet Hollow would you say has been your favorite until now? Any favorite trait/trait combo?
Favorite combo was the first I took of course, Mystical and Talk to Animals! You get to be so weird and everyone is so put off by your antics!
Some long ass rambling and spoilers below!
Individually, TTA can feel a little useless at some points, it’s never a passive ability so you only get use out of it when there’s animals around. It especially feels lacking in chapter 2, where there are two instance of running into wild animals (the bird and the bats) that feel weird since you don’t get to pause and chat with them and they don’t say anything noteworthy about ditchlings, the mines, the town, etc.
I get why it can feel like that, you don’t want players to feel they made a mistake choosing talk with animals by not having animals appear throughout a chapter, but you also don’t want player’s who didn’t choose it feel like they’re always missing out on important stuff by having too many animals.
I really think they should let more passive thoughts with TTA occur. The only instance I can recall of it appearing as a thought is if you’ve had Sybil’s tea and it’s like “she won’t judge you for your quirk :), go talk to her”. It caught me so off guard when I first saw it and Mystical pointing out that my thoughts were all weird made me almost stand up like “WHAT”. But even though it doesn’t sound like TTA would have passive moments where it’s not directly in action, I think it should, maybe our character is privy to random facts woodland critters have told us, or we’re more in tune with nature or something. Idk, it’s not useless and it’s incredibly hard to compare it to the other traits cause it essentially makes previously non-characters like Dustin or the Goat into characters, that’s something no others trait does.
Now for my more positive thoughts on TTA, damn is proving you can actually understand animals at the library so satisfying, and it stays satisfying as Kaneeka slowly comes to believe it herself over the course of the chapters! I'm so glad it seems to be getting taken more seriously by the characters as the chapters pass, we start by getting introduced to the trait in chapter 1, then we don't use it much in the second, then we get to talk to the mayor and, if Gretchen is alive, get the knowledge that something is up with Reese. And then we can learn that the PASTOR TALKS TO ANIMALS TOO. In chapter 4 visiting Pastor Daniel is great, I love that the game is setting up for TTA to have more of a spotlight.
Now Mystical. Mystical is probably my favorite trait. I've heard some people say it feels useless early on, and I think those people may not have played with it in their first run, cause going in blind with mystical makes you aware of a lot of stuff, like knowing someone will die out on the trails on Monday before it actually happens made me so tense, and knowing something is suspicious about Sybil when she gives you that look, or that "You're finally back where you belong" sending the shivers of foreboding up the spine!
It gives you longer visions if you have it (and are drinking Sybil's evil tea), so it's great for me who loves theorizing and lore. And the channeling of Charlie’s spirit in his funky funhouse of fright? That whole sequence with the seance options is what truly got me hooked on the game.
I also love how it seems mystical MC’s can be a little frustrated by chapter 4? The whole “hopefully my powers will finally do more than make me unwillingly channel ghosts” makes you sound so fed up with how not only are you forced into knowing things will happen and having no control over it, but also fed up with how no one takes you seriously. Like Stella seems a little excited at the prospect you could be a psychic when meeting Duke, and Avery is chill with everyone so they don’t judge you, but everyone else brushes you aside or looks at you weird. Also Sybil, fucking Sybil trying to make me feel my abilities are less than her’s during the tea reading. Lady I will find a way to have me and your daughter mystic blast you, you can’t even do anything without making people drink tea, suffer.
Anyway sorry for the rambling! I’m obsessed with this game, so much so I joined the discord, I rarely join stuff like that due to nerves, so that’s how you know the brainrot is REAL.

blah blah blah yosuke yosugay blah blah blah
anyway
Sometimes shit adults say that seems innocuous to them can absolutely fucking devastate a kid's worldview -- like- my mother telling me that she'd still love me if I was gay (even if she would be sooo disappointment and that "she'd rather I not" but "a mother's love is obligatory" you know you know) when I asked-- but later being told, unprompted, that she wouldn't let me cut my hair short lest I "become a dyke" with such vitriol and disgust that it did a fuck ton of mental damage and instilled hilariously absurd levels of fucky behavior and fear of- not only disappointment, but transforming into something abhorrent and wrong and bad. I mean, it's fundamentally untrue- because I shave my head now and haven't spoken to her in years.
looks at nails anyway turning this back to fandom shit- because I'm a funky little lesbian who needs an emotional support blorbo to attach onto for my mental health. I choose (mostly unwillingly, as I do not decide such things as much as my heart does) to project that specific event very heavily onto legendary closeted boyfailure Yosuke specifically, because "Yes you can dye your hair sweetie, but no weird colors, okay? You don't want people to think you're funny." is absolutely something that was said to his face and was most likely a huge seed for growing into a huge complex. That and, the fact that yes I was alive and young during 2011 in a rural community and yes I know rural japan is hardly like methodist farm town america but some shit doesn't change and I remember 2011 and I remember it being really unkind.
me: he's a cartoon character hee hee hoo hoo.
also me: I can't believe they somehow made a character that resonates with me so deeply down to the eternal funnyman coping mechanism and the "headphones on all the time" disease. I can't fucking believe i've been cursed with him as blorbo.
#older yosuke with black hair is wrong actually!#because I said so and I'm right about an ancient as fuck game ppl have thought longer and harder about than me#he dyes every color of the rainbow once he's out of his parents place you better believe me on this#digit's p5r tag#ANYWAY sorry for dumping my venom everywhere! It's been rotating in my head for a few days.

The Legend of Zelda Forgotten Songs
We've recently been drawing on Stream, so we ended up making a Legend of Zelda AU. (I'll post the stream vods on my channel later)
Basically Din and Farore decide to mess with Nayru, and shuffled the Triforce pieces.
Anyway! Zelda, the Hero of Songs, needs to search for the Forgotten Songs lost to Hyrule, to bring light back to the Kingdom. She teams up with Link the bard and the two travel together. The Scholar King Ganondorf of the Gorudo is trying to take over the Kingdom of Hyrule and bring silence and darkness to keep the Kingdom under his control.
The Nicknames Zelda - Song (Songs) Link - Lute Ganondorf - Cacophony
Rabbit hole time!
Zelda is the Hero of Songs. She has the Hero's Spirit, and was given the Triforce of Courage!
Zelda is a menace to society. Yes. She fights in this dress, and she is GOOD AT IT. Her "Roll" is a little jump and spin. She also is a very physical character, she doesn't use a lot of magic Items, and don't let her looking frail fool you, she is very strong. (Yes Zelda has the Master Sword)
Link has been nicknamed Lute. He isn't fully Hylian, he is only half! The other half is Siren! He is a Bard. He also has the Triforce of Power! (Think of Zelda 2 btw) So the Northern Palace? Everyone remember that place? Yeah, Link's house is on the beach north of there, he has a cute little beach house, and also has an under water one (Because Siren/mer fun stuff)
Now Link here is a little Uncanny, right? Well, literally EVERYONE in town think's that. That's why he lives out by himself on the beach. He does go into town and play music for money, and he's really good! (Because Siren) and people ALWAYS PAY HIM- (Because SIREN) He doesn't do anything bad tbh. Lastly, Link uses the magic Items here, he is also holding onto the Interments and sheet music they get from the Dungeons! (Looking for the Forgotten Songs of old to save Hyrule)
Now, Link and Zelda are besties, Zelda was traveling past his house, and she just wanted to see who lived there, met Link, liked his weird vibes (Literally all her guards were like NOOOOO SIREN BOY- But Zelda doesn't know) Also, Zelda gave Link Anxiety. (Zelda "No Fear" Hero of Songs traveling with the Siren Bard Link the Lute player)
OH! One last thing, Zelda doesn't know Link is half Siren. She just knows he has funky vibes and she likes the funky vibes. Someone (Villager) will be like "That is a Monster" and Zelda will be like "THAT IS MY BEST FRIEND" (Holds Link's face) "NOW SAY SORRY TO HIM" Villager - "....sorry" Zelda doesn't care.
(another link thing, sorry, that hair? that short hair? Yeah, No. That's an under cut, he has long hair, its just brained and stuffed into the hat)
LASTLY we have Ganondorf! He is cousins with Zelda, and he holds the Triforce of Wisdom! Ganondorf want's to take Hyrule, and he knows he is right behind Zelda for the throne, so all he needs to do is Kill Zelda! (He tried to just hire a guy to shoot her with a cross bow, the guy shot, Zelda cause the arrow, AND THREW IT BACK- NO BOW- and Killed that man.) Ganondorf had to think a little outside the box. His list of Priorities goes 1) Kill Zelda, 2) Kill Link and 3) Take over Hyrule.
Now, Ganondorf here is SMART. (Nicknamed Cacophony) Ganondorf and Zelda are Cousins, and they are pretty close. Their relationship is VERY complicated. Like - Someone talking crap about Zelda in front of Ganondorf "HOW DARE YOU SAY THOSE THINGS!" Person - "That is your Mortal Enemy!" Ganon - "THAT IS MY COUSIN!" (Zelda does the same thing)
Link and Ganondorf also have a complex relationship, they have an emotional support group for talking about the crazy things Zelda did and the two just need a moment to reassure they are normal and it's just Zelda being weird.
Also Ganondorf is a magic user in this AU. He tries to outsmart his opponents when need be. And in this game he is fighting Zelda and Link, who share a single braincell. (I love those two so much oh my gosh XD)
The Dungeon's in the game would be actually kinda hard, relying on your ability to remember things and a LOT of Puzzles. The beginning you can just switch between Link and Zelda to figure stuff out, one being in another room and yelling the answers to the other type of thing. But as the game goes on (After Dungeon 3) Link will become unable to get into the Dungeon without Zelda finding the Interment inside and summoning him inside. (There will also be a Dungeon where you do mainly play as Link in, it's the water temple.)
Now, Dungeon's 1 through 6 you can get Link inside to help, but less and less. By Dungeon 7 Link is unable to be summoned inside. Again, you would need the Dungeon Item to summon Link, BUT Ganondorf is SMART. He figured this out, and went and TOOK THE ITEMS OUT- They are now in other Dungeons (You may find 2 Items inside one dungeon) You might need to return to a Dungeon for a Door you were unable to unlock with a new Item/song/sheet music.
But During Dungeon 7, when Zelda leaves she can tell a fight happened, the area is destroyed, and Link is nowhere to be seen. Ganondorf and his men ambushed Link, and Kidnapped him. (Along with all your stuff.) Zelda heads to Dungeon 8, learning that Link is somewhere inside.
(Our reasoning on why Link get's Kidnapped- "WELL ZELDA GETS KIDNAPPED ALL THE TIME! IT'S LINK'S TURN!")
Now Dungeon 8. Ganondorf is Smart. Zelda and Link Share a SINGLE Braincell. Each room is one of three things. 1) A previous Mini Boss (Link Dungeon 8(?) in Link's Awakening) 2) A Puzzle to get a key or something (Normal Dungeon stuff) OR 3) A Puzzle from a previous Dungeon, but the hint isn't in the Dungeon and Link isn't here to yell the answers for you.
So you will have to do one of three things for those rooms, Look up a guide online, Have a good memory and know what to do, Or go back to the Dungeon it was in, and write it down.
But if you leave you'll have to restart/run through the Dungeon again! AND THIS ONE DOESN'T HAVE A MAP- HAHAHA-
WELCOME TO DUNGEON 8 HELL.
We wanted to create the hardest/funnest Dungeon. (Ganondorf is SMART, HE WANT'S ZELDA DEAD.)
Also, Ganondorf convinces the King to send Gaurds after Zelda and Link. (Kinda like Lttp, but instead of "YOU KIDNAPPED THE PRINCESS" It's more like "Zelda Please, You Need To Come Home!" and Zelda is like "GANONDORF IS EVIL" "No HE ISN'T!" "HIS VIBES ARE RANK!")
I might draw some short comics of them later tbh! (I think it's fun to make stories with everyone on stream, it was good, 10/10 will draw on stream again XD)

Guys... Can I talk ab the Marnie lore for the main story I'm writing for my interp of Stardew...
Too bad, doin it anyways
Marnie Lore Doc is Here!!!
This mostly goes over her backstory as in what she was like when she was younger, all the basic story points of what happened with her leading up to the parts that I'm writing about in my fanfics (there will be no spoilers here)
CW for some talks of health and death
Everything is below the cut!
Marnie and her sister Mona were born in 1959 (Stardew in my writing takes place around 2010) and grew up in the ranch house in Pelican Town. The farm had been in the family for generations now, the Yoder family taking great pride in their roots as PA Dutch people. The girls’ father instilled the ideals of working hard and taking pride in said work from a young age, having them help out on the ranch when they were as young as 5.
The girls were each other's best friends growing up, and they grew extremely close. They knew each other's deepest secrets and biggest dreams, and supported each other wholeheartedly. Mona was the first person to know that Marnie wanted to be a textile artist instead of a rancher. It wasn’t like she didn’t like the animals, she loved them! But life in the valley felt too stagnant for her, and she felt like she could only truly excel if she made something of herself out in the world. Mona supported her wholeheartedly, giving her praises and critiques on her works, and overall being her biggest fan. Her father wasn’t exactly so excited about this, however. He worried that going out into the city would change his daughter too much, make her forget her roots. Not to mention, the ranch needed to be cared for. It took a lot of convincing from Marnie, and Mona assuring him that she’d take over the business for him to finally come to accept that choice.
She worked for the ranch through highschool and into her early 20’s to save up to go to her dream college, a fabulous arts institute in Zuzu City. It was incredibly expensive, but she managed to save every spare cent to pay for her classes. She was so proud of herself, as were her father and Mona. Unfortunately, the year before she was set to go didn’t go as planned for anyone. Their father passed away unexpectedly, leaving Mona as the sole caretaker of the ranch. Marnie offered to stay home, to push off college and help Mona with the work, but she kept insisting she could handle it, telling Marnie to pursue her goals. Reluctantly, she agreed to go forward with college, thanking Mona for being so kind and understanding.
The first year away at college was interesting to say the least! The valley was so small and tight knit, and it was jarring seeing so many people all crammed into one place like in the city. Marnie felt like a true fish out of water. People in the city commented on her clothes, how she ‘talked funny’, and how her mannerisms were ‘odd’. She started feeling like maybe she made a mistake, and almost went home during orientation week. However, she changed her mind after meeting her roommate, Pamela Finch.
She was an… odd woman to say the least. Pam dressed in all kinds of bright, funky clothes, wore heavy makeup and had her blonde hair teased to high heaven, the poster child of the 80’s. She didn’t seem to take many things too seriously, just ‘going wherever the wind took her’. College was her dad’s idea, as he wanted her to do something big and important with her life. But Pam? Her dream was being a trucker, driving all across the country with nothing but the open road and the radio to keep her company. Though in many ways they were opposites, Marnie grew to enjoy her company. They were both considered ‘odd’ by people in the city, just in different ways. Pam was her best friend of all time, a fun and rowdy one who got in all sorts of trouble. They were great for each other, though. Pam was able to mellow out a little and Marnie was brought out of her shell through their friendship.
On top of gaining a new friend, Marnie would soon gain another family member! She and Mona made it a point to call each other at least 3 times a week, updating each other on their lives. Marnie typically was the one with the most exciting news to share, as the valley often was not exciting, but Mona actually had something interesting to share. She was going to have a baby, and Marnie was over the moon at the thought of being an aunt. When she asked who Mona was seeing, and when she would meet the lucky man, Mona got standoffish. The man pretty much ghosted her when he found out, and Mona didn't want to talk about it. Marnie got the hint quick and wouldn’t bring it up again.
The next spring, right after the Spring semester let out, Marnie went home to meet the baby for the first time. This baby would be her little nephew Shane, and he was the cutest thing she ever saw… though she was a bit taken aback at his purple hair. The shock wore off quickly, Marnie claiming that such a unique trait was the mark of a future artist like herself! She absolutely adored and spoiled her nephew, and was so pained to leave him and Mona to go back to the city once the Fall rolled around.
When she got back, she dormed with Pam once again, who proudly announced that she had gotten married over the Summer! The two barely knew each other for two months, but she swore they were in love. He was the man of her dreams, a wild and handsome trucker who promised to take her all over the country with him as soon as she was out of college. Her dad was not happy about this, almost disowning Pam over it, but he eventually came around to it and reluctantly accepted his daughter's choice. (Pam would only come to realize YEARS later that she was dealing with comphet, and realizes she's a lesbian when she moves back to Pelican town)
The next school year was exciting, consisting of many elaborate projects and even gallery showings for Marnie! Mona showed up to every single one she could, always telling her sister she was gonna go far with this. It gave her the motivation to keep pushing herself above and beyond, making more conceptual pieces, always inserting symbols of the culture she grew up in and loved so much. She promised her dad she wouldn’t forget her roots, and stuck by that promise.
In her Junior year, Marnie found herself getting considered for a grand opportunity, an apprenticeship with one of the greatest artists guilds in the country. The job would almost guarantee herself a spot in the art scene. She was ecstatic, overjoyed! Pam insisted they go to a party that night to celebrate… and Marnie learned quickly that she did not enjoy the party scene, especially after she got stuck with a nasty hangover in the morning.
She chose to work even harder on her art, improving steadily to prove that she deserved this apprenticeship, and her spot in the art world. Her dreams were coming true before her eyes, and she couldn’t possibly be more excited. Whenever she called Mona, she had the most enthusiastic voice, chattering away about all her plans and projects, everything that kept her so busy. But perhaps she was too busy, at least too busy to realize Mona was progressively beginning to sound more tired and unwell with each call.
Mona convinced herself she was able to handle the ranch and a child, but it was becoming clear she couldn’t. The stress was taking a toll on her health, and she was already starting to go gray in her twenties. She was getting weaker as time passed, the strain of it all having disastrous effects. She refused to tell Marnie though, knowing she would drop everything to come back home, give up and turn back when she was so close to touching the stars. Marnie noticed when she came back home though, seeing how much older and tired her sister looked. She insisted she was going to stay home, Mona telling her no, and a fight broke out between the two over it. Marnie eventually agreed to go back to school and finish her degree, though she felt uneasy about it.
Senior year was nerve wracking. All the work she had put into this degree was under intense scrutinization, the apprenticeship on the line. All those sleepless nights and days spent squirreled away in the textiles studio were finally paying off. Marnie was noticeably off her game this year though, her thoughts too preoccupied with Mona's health. She was also afraid she was going to fumble this, make a fool of herself in front of everyone and lose the opportunity. But to her surprise, and relief, she was chosen in the end. Upon graduating she would start the apprenticeship, and join the greats in the art world! This should’ve been the happiest time in her life, and it could’ve been if not for the devastating call she got just after graduation.
She and Pam were clearing out their dorm, talking about the future and all the exciting things they had planned. They had graduated just a few days ago, and the excitement was still buzzing in them (though Marnie couldn't help but feel disappointed that Mona couldn't come).
Pam was talking about starting a family with her husband, so excited about the life she saw ahead for the two of them. And Marnie would be on her way to New York, living the high life in the big city and throwing her life into her work. Pam promised to visit her if her work ever brought her to the state.
Marnie chattered on about her plans once she got to the city, getting interrupted by the phone ringing. It was a call from back home. The town doctor was on the line, informing her Mona was hospitalized, and the outlook wasn’t good. Life ground to a halt immediately. Marnie packed the rest of her things as fast as she could, rushing out the door without saying goodbye to her roommate, speeding home as fast as she could.
She didn’t leave Mona’s side once in her last moments, the two talking about life, regrets, and what the future would be like. Marnie scolded her for not opening up about how bad it actually was, and for insisting she go back to school when the stress was legitimately killing her. Mona told her she just wanted her to follow her dream, but if her dream came at the cost of her sister, her best friend, Marnie didn’t want it. Mona asked her to take care of Shane, and Marnie promised she would. By the next morning, Mona was gone.
Marnie of course had to turn down the apprenticeship, moving right back into her childhood home instead of that flashy apartment in the city she had looked forward to. Getting back into the rhythm of ranch life, and adjusting to life with a toddler was difficult, to say the least. The guilt of knowing this is just how Mona felt for so long weighed on her heart, and she promised herself she would do her best to make up for that. As time went on, life began to get easier, though it was never the same. Having no support system, no close friends or any family here was so hard. But she had her nephew, and knowing that he needed her kept her going.
About two years later, a very familiar woman moved into town, trailer hitched to the back of a pickup truck. When Marnie realized it was Pam of all people, she was overjoyed. Finally, she had a close friend, a familiar face back in the valley with her! She had a baby of her own too, a little girl named Penny that she just adored. Pam explained how her husband had walked out on them recently, and she decided to settle back here for a simpler pace. She was going to take over the bus driving job as well, a position that had very recently opened up! The two talked about the past few years, exchanging stories of the highs and lows of it all. Neither of them expected to be here in Pelican Town, living such similar lifestyles after having such lofty goals and dreams. Pam seemed to find the humor in it though, and expressed that she hoped Penny and Shane would grow up to be good friends. (They would not </3 )
The next few years were a whirlwind. The ranch was a lot of work of course, but there was so much more too! She’d been invited to an aerobics group with all the other ladies in town, won the valley fair quite a few times, had a short, fleeting romance with the man running the saloon, her nephew came out to her as trans (Marnie was actually the one to pick out the name Shane!), the old farmer next door had struck a wonderful business deal with her, and she surprisingly found herself happy in this spot in life.
This life wasn’t the one she had planned, that was for sure. There were still many things that she regretted, so many things she wished she could’ve done and achieved. She still grieved too, grieving the loss of her opportunity and her sister. But despite it all, and through all the future troubles and misfortunes that would befall her family, she couldn’t help but keep a glimmer of hope that everything would be okay in the end. And with time, it would be.
Pam and Marnie YEARS in the future, almost 30 years after college, will come to realize they have feelings for each other. Pam fell first but Marnie fell harder when she came to realize she also likes women. The two are married and living their best life on the ranch, very much in love
