I had a lot of fun finding/using artworks with circles, lines, and shapes to symbolize different worlds/universes and/or the passage of time...

Artworks used, in order:

"Several Circles" by Wassily Kandinsky (1926)

"To all appearances, it was a hand of flesh and blood just like my own" by Odilon Redon (1896) — A ghostly hand that fits the plot. The artwork's title goes with the fic so well too...

"(#2) (from series, Quantum)" by Garo Antreasian (1966)

"The story of the sun, moon, and stars (1898)" by Agnes Giberne — inspired by the summary "Somewhere along the way, Draco realizes he's been thinking in lines, when he should have been thinking in circles." The original artwork comes with a caption 'Stars whose distances are well-known'... I really feel that it fits since Draco was named after a constellation... Also, the star-circles have numbers on them, which could be interpreted as H/D through different ages...

Max Brückner’s Collection of Polyhedral Models (1900) — Exploring different parallel universe versions of yourself... the more things change, the more they stay the same.

"Construction (SM lg71)" by László Moholy-Nagy (1924) — some mild spoilers for the fic! inspired by the phrases "...plot a path through the many universes such that he would never die." / "flickering through timelines? Just getting glimpses, really" .

"Fish Magic" by Paul Klee (1925)

"The Terrace at Saint-Germain, Spring" by Alfred Sisley (1875)

"Arrival of the Normandy Train, Gare Saint-Lazare" by Claude Monet (1877)

"Charing Cross Bridge: Fog on the Thames" by Claude Monet (1903) — referenced in the fic. i try to pay attention!

"Boy with Kite" by Candido Portinari (1947) — Harry is a precious little lamb. more elaboration here

I casually remember the Copia fic that I first read and how it changed my brain chemistry forever and then i look the author up and THERE’S A FUCKING SEQUEL THAT UPDATED ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO

And I don’t think this writer is on Tumblr. I’ve been on tumblr for a little over half my writing ”career”. Got its ups and downs but yeah the whole fandom world isn’t twitter or tumblr

#prince's talk tag #hey did you guys know |ink c|ick got a manhwa adaptation? i didnt until i saw it in the store #and the dust jacket is really nice. its got a sparkly holographic effect going on #continuing my quest to get every volume of n/ozaki kun bc its my favorite series ever #with volume 10 being my fave bc thats when they go on the school trip #look at them!! theyre so cute!! they're idiots and i love them #never heard of the black cat and vampire one until i saw it today but its gay vampires so ofc i had to get it #also never heard of the one in between the gay vampire one but the cover looked nice so why not #also got the third p/r/s/k anthology and bc its a Japanese book the clerk gave me that s/x/f bookmark #dont know what they have in common but its cute and free so im not complaining #when i saw that bl anthology i realized i dont own any anthologies with a focus on bl so i decided to change that #i read on the train ride home and its really cute!!#got the 5th volume of c/herry m/agic bc gay office workers with magic powers are my shit!!! (only one of them on the cover has them lolol)#as well as get vol 12 of t/b/n/a. love him on the cover #never heard of the one in the bottom left of the second pic but the summary had me interested #the guy on the cover seems cold and mean but hes actually holding back fluffy emotions #and i love that shit!! so im game

#there's a lot that I would choose multiple for #like there's no real preference for hard or soft cover books but if it's a large non-fic or picture book then I like it hard #if novel I prefer soft because it's harder to turn the pages at times #same goes for the bookshop library thing #though I've not checked out a book from the library in ages #only ever used the receipt as a bookmark... gives the book some history when I look at it again in the future #also had a thing where I hated damaging my books #like no breaking the spine or no slightly bending a page #got bit sad when I see my books bend open (or something) at some random page #but recently I buy second hand books to read and they're filled with bends and dog ears and little random notes #if I own the book I now bend open the pages and mark where I've been with a corner fold #I like looking at the past readers reading history and when I read my book again it'll show where I read up to and all that cool stuff #gives the books some personality and history #however I only do that with soft books #never doing that for a hard cover #am evil lol #maybe there is a preference to the hard and soft covers #lmaaaooo

Tired. I am very very tired. With this being said last night I had a great time with two friends I hadn't seen in a while, which was definitely beneficial to my mental health.
