I may have trash-talked yakuza 8's story way too much now that im playing lost judgment... i mean considering how much i said i hate it i did play the fuck out of that game and i cant even play a full hour of lost judgment orz

#like i used to play y8 for like 8 hours every day doing all the side content and dondoko island and whatever #i had a blast playing y8 honestly even if the ending completely ruined the game for me #and chapter 12 but whatever #and lost judgment... idk i just can bring myself to like it at all?#or maybe a little bc there ARE very glld scenes but i feel like the narrative and the pacing are absolutely atrocious #the first 5-6 chapters are so slow and even if its getting better i just cant play for a long-ish time without being bored?#im on chapter 9 and even if i should be like omg kuwana is connectrd to everything im like When Does This Game End #im so sad man i really wanted to enjoy this game :( even more than y8 #like it sounds like i hate it but i dont. i just think the first game is just so much better story wise and i guess i was expecting the same #with lj #it does have scenes i love tho and at least i can enjoy seeing yagami being put in Situations and think about how pretty he is #but oh well.#rant

i'm so constantly tempted to put little supernatural references in the creative writing story i'm working on for uni, even though it has literally nothing to do with spn whatsoever

#the thing is that the start of the story is set in november 2021 so the whole time i'm writing it i'm like ooh this is when this thing #happened! this chapter is set on november 5th and the characters don't even know it!!#but it's a middle grade ghost story and my narrator is 12 and very much your average cis probably-gonna-turn-out-to-be-straight #boy with mainstream and normal interests who probably wouldn't know anything about it because he's too busy hunting for #ghosts and playing minecraft or whatever #but on the other hand his older sister and his cousin are both neurodivergent & lgbt & mentally ill so they probably WOULD know about #spn. and i'm going to have to mention all the trump drama SOMEWHERE in my story if it's set then and i would just feel weird #doing that without talking about spn because it's so interconnected to it in my mind

i like manga and i respect it as a valuable work 😌 but also if my fav manga was animated and had nice music and voice acting, that'd also be cool, too 👍

#personal #sorryyy #i feel like the person that wishes everything animated was a live action lol #it would just be cool...#anime very rarely improves anything tho unfortunately (except like. vinland saga) but i also like adaptations for the opportunity #to fix some things. but usually they struggle to keep the basic stuff in. shows like dun/meshi or plu/to and whatever happened w #tr!stamp's reboot/prequel/trimax adaptation/sequel/remake #but idk how anime is made so thats probably a factor. they gotta stick to the 12 ep 2 chapters per ep formula maybe

Oh yeah I updated my insane chatfic again last night

#My ao3 is jadejem16 if anyone wants to subject themself to 11 chapters of whatever it is I was doing in high school #It's not Bad but any time I try to write a part that isn't the gc you can tell why I decided to write a chatfic #Chapters 12 and 13 are the ones I wrote recently (within the last 3 years)#I'd like to think that my characterization has been pretty consistent and in character though.
