Pick a card reading 🤫
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi lovesss consider booking a “who’s your fs?” reading with me for more personal details!!! Also check out my ko-fi for more readings!! 🫶🏻
Pile 1- 👩🏻‍🍳
Pile 2- 🧁
Pile 3- 🍀
Pile 👩🏻‍🍳:
Your first meeting with your future spouse will come at a time when you or them are going through a lot of change. Something in your lives could’ve ended and emotions might be high and uncertain. You could meet them through school, work, or during a time you both are rebuilding your life. You might not expect to meet your fs and it will feel very random. There will be a magnetic pull between you two, perhaps eye contact that lingers longer than expected, a strange feeling of deja vu, or an intense familiarity. The meeting will be genuine, respectful and maybe one of you or both could be feeling a bit shy. The convo will start about something small or practical like asking for help, talking about work, etc. it will feel fated, like everything that happened somehow led to this meeting/moment. There will be a moment that will stay stuck with you, a positive one. I’m seeing both of your eyes sparkling while looking at each other.
Pile 🧁:
The emotional connection between you and your future spouse will be instant. There may be share laughter, soft touches like touching your knees, not moving their hands from your tight, etc. Eye contact will also be prominent Your heart will feel full and fluttery. You and your fs will instantly connect and feel seen by each other. Expect a powerful conversation, maybe a share belief or sharp wit that instantly connects with you. You might meet at an event, party or social gathering. You guys will feel like you’ve known each other for years, if you saw 11:11 recently that is confirmation! This meeting will be at divine timing, and you’ll immediately feel pulled towards them emotionally and spiritually. There’s a sense that you two just fit. The attraction will be instant and you guys could even go away at the event and find a place to talk alone together, the sparks will be flying between you two.
Pile 🍀:
The moment you meet your future spouse will be the moment you know your manifestations have been heard, you’ll know that this is your person. The chemistry will be strong in every aspect and it will feel like the universe aligned everything perfectly. One or both of you might appear confident or mysterious. This meeting will not be a coincidence. You guys will instantly get each other, it’s like you won’t even have to explain what you think because they’ll immediately know. The meeting will feel important and it will show up when you’re becoming a new version of yourself. The vibe of the meeting will be calm, private and intimate. You guys could meet in a quiet or healing place like a bookstore, cafe, or spiritual space. When you guys meet it will feel like a breath of fresh air. One of you could be at a low point in your life and this meeting will be like light at the end of the tunnel. They will admire your independence, your vibe and vice versa. The meeting will be emotionally raw but comforting. I’m seeing playful banter between you two.
Thank you much guys for reading! Please check out my page/masterlist for more and consider booking a reading with me through ko-fi!!
Love yall 💗🫶🏻

TBHX episode 12 rant
Ngl I'm disappointed in a multitude of things this ep, but as always there is timeline and worldbuilding to keep me going.
Tumblr media
Biggest dissapointments:
The parent thing was about Liu Zhen? It wasn't even anything big? Idk, but I thought Queen being a journalist's daughter would not be a big bad secret with the level of fame she had since she was a teen. Big letdown
Like I was hoping last ep, the Bowa/Queen rivalry wasn't used to comment on the patriarchy pitting women against women (it's still there if you squint, but that was the case last ep too) and instead was just a flashy showdown
We concluded the Queen arc but we still don't know enough about her as a person! This has to be the least fleshed hero in the lineup so far. Hello, this is the no. 2 and top-ranking female hero, we need more juice than this!
No X :( [this one is deeply personal and totally biased, and should not be taken seriously]
Tumblr media
I have also decided I am categorically a simp. I don't think this requires elaboration.
On to what I liked, which may somewhat contradict my disappointments because they're two-sided.
Firstly, while I didn't like that Bowa/Queen was never really addressed as being a manufactured rivalry (would've been nice for the two to, idk, talk?) the fight scene was visually fantastic. Musically, it was heartbreaking. And storywise, it was tragic. So so tragic. I hated it. I loved it. My feelings have not reached a consensus on the matter. And I was also, very unrealistically, hoping for X to swoop in/change animation/do something because this was just downright painful to watch sometimes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But someone please tell me why Bowa's attacks are all suddenly X-shaped. Once? Sure. Twice? Coincidence. Three is just too many.
Secondly, we may not know much about Queen as a person, and in particular she's lacking a lot of background details (you lied to Cyan, we all saw it), but I do like what I've seen and how her principles tie into her hero personality as someone who makes rules, abides by them, and uses them to strengthen her own resolve.
BUT
This sounds an awful lot like wanting to dismantle the existing system, Queen. Hmmm...
Tumblr media
What on earth are these symbols?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We needed Bowa to explain to us what your power is??? Although I admit, that power is neat and once again, very much in character
Tumblr media
And yet another nod to Queen's trust coming from within (see X breakdown from last ep for more details)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She's also terribly terribly loyal to her friends, believes in taking the right way to the top, rejecting Cyan's offer of good luck multiple times, and is overall not as cold as the last ep wanted us to believe.
Thirdly, Bowa was fleshed out pretty well for a secondary character, and her arc was just...tragic. i have many thoughts, not all of which can be articulated right now.
Side note does having trust value affect how monstrous fear can make you?
Other things:
The Commission has a... police force equivalent?
DOS is investigating X lmao. Idk why this is funny to me, but it is. Who is Nine tho? X knows Uncle Rock? (Boo) X doesn't have a good relationship with Uncle Rock? (Yay!) Who is the other hero? And why is Wreck there? Right colours, wrong ship DOS!
Tumblr media
As much as the fight scene was visually appealing, so much property damage I cry. That must've cost the economy billions
BIG JOHNNIE? What are you doing in the cliffhanger? Loli's arc is next, get back in your lane!
Tumblr media
And speaking of the upcoming Loli arc, we've seen next to nothing of her so far...?

On one hand I get the caution of 'nothing happens until the first official women's tag match for the belts actually happens on live tv' from a lifetime of being burned. But looking at this one in particular I think it's a safe bet to say this is something that is going to happen in the next six months based on the following:
AEW major storylines are at least loosely plotted a lot more than a year in advance, with additional contingencies for things like dealing with injuries and other changes now that Tony has (4? 6?) people helping him with it full time.
The number of women's tag matches and women's multi-matches has skyrocketed in recent months along with slowly introducing more mixed tags and tornado tags, around the time Megan Bayne debuted and was paired with Penelope Ford. I'd say this is definitely a softening up/prepping of the audience for what's to come.
Actually ordering a pair of women's tag belts is a huge commitment to being serious about this direction, not only in terms of investing thousands of dollars financially but because the belts do a lot to represent AEW as a company. Not to mention the global supply chain is still Absolutely Fucked and any kind of order for something custom is likely to take three times longer than anticipated even in 2025, trust me.
Speaking of belts and representation of the company, there's been a lot of focus on reinvention of the belts for the company lately, and a refocusing on elevating and redefining their importance. The continued elevation of the Owen Hart belts. The unification of the Continental and International titles into the Unified Championship. The push for the TNT title to move away from its roots on Collision to be a more stable midcard title across the promotion.
And of course: The AEW Men's World Championship (as Hangman makes sure we remember to call it), which has been missing for 8 months and counting, hidden in a briefcase. Mox has taken it out of the public eye and refused to let the world remember what it looks like other than Toni's larger twin, by design. Some complain this has reduced its value. Mox insists the point is that the bauble should not matter. The crown is not the reason you fight to rule.
This is why Swerve failed at Dynasty. For all he was a magnificent champion, he was a champion in love with being champion and the trappings it came with, and he wanted to win to secure his legacy and the trinket that legitimized it. Mox, for all his faults, is honest in his Spartan mentalities that a leader is needed to dethrone him that will not give a shit about the actual belt itself, but about the good of AEW and representing the company to maintain its stability. Any respect for the belt must come from the fact it shows you are AEW.
And finally, the fact that AEW has always been a Tag-Heavy promotion, co-founded by tag team wrestlers and vocally in support of maintaining tag team wrestling. Stories like FTR talking about how they left WWE because tag team wrestling was not respected and the tag belts were diminished by terrible runs of just having a couple guys thrown together for a couple runs over and over have been popping up on interviews and social media again lately, and I don't think that's a coincidence.
So adding all of these elements together? Yeah, I think this is something that's been in the works for a while, and given the quality of the product for the last year I think they've earned a bit of grace for me to make the assumption that this is them introducing women's tag wrestling to America with as much gravitas, seriousness, and hype as they can provide.
I'm excited to see where it goes.

The part of me that's obsessed with finding meaning and symbolism is like, maybe I'm afraid of asking people to call me William because deep down I know I DO identify with it and I'm more afraid of being my true self than coming out as isogender/trans/genderqueer in general. And the other part of me is like. You're making that all up. And the third part of me is "you're saying that and framing it as 'finding meaning where there is none' to deny that it IS the truth."

what i like about ada's report, & i'll get into it more eventually, is that despite it being ada explaining the plot (& her motivations) to you directly, it presents an interesting relationship between ada, a known liar & manipulator, & the audience. while she withholds information from other characters & skirts about on mystery throughout RE4 & separate ways, there is one person to whom she doesn't lie, to whom she does tell the truth, at least a part of it, & that is you, the player. it is a very neat narrative device that wouldn't work as well in a different medium
#* file // : OOC — ( 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐃𝐄 . )#not that anyone's actually fucking read ada's report people still think ada was saving leon out of love#in direct opposition to wesker's orders in the original re4#i wish this didn't make me mad but it does it's right there in plain english the nikita pose is a misdirection#it's subverting the trope she's part of a bigger conspiracy leon is a necessary piece of her mission#like the subversion of the femme fatale isn't subtle#they either die or are undone upon reveal of their treachery ada survives & lives beyond the logical endpoint of her character#she isn't weakened or completely changed in fact she learns how to manipulate the hero better for their next encounter#she isn't working for the villain both in that she tells you that she's only been pretending to this whole time#& that she works for another organization that's been spying on wesker through ada this whole time#but also the fact that wesker is neither the villain of re4 nor resident evil as a franchise he is another cog in the machine#just another one of umbrella's leftovers#see i know people think ada despises chris because he mistook her for carla one time on the tanker#but i think they've got a lot more in common than either is truly willing to admit should they actually ever speak to each other#i just think it's neat that she gets his line addressed to wesker to use on mr. x (just another one of umbrella's failed experiments)#darkside chronicles & re5 were developed around the same time i'm sure it's a coincidence

I really ship Ted and Trent because I think they would be cute together and there are so many hints that they would work well together.
But also the story of season 3 really works for who the characters are and where they are at during that part of their journey.
Ted seems to be quite put together at the beginning of the show. But he is maybe the character who is the biggest mess.
He is trying his best, but he also refuses to actually deal with and look at negative emotions.
He is the upbeat guy who no one can keep down. And he is FAR too familiar with pain and knows how far pain can go.
He distrusts pain and thinks that everyone is cabable of good if given the right opportunity. And he is right. (Mostly)
But despite the fact that he knows that pain is destructive and that it is more productive and usually better to forgive than to hold a grudge, he doesn't really forgive because he doesn't really look at the bad actions he is forgiving. Not that his forgiveness is inauthentic because he is not intentionally lying he is just not willing to look at the fact that people choose to do those actions which hurt people.
Like Rebecca he forgives. But Nate? He doesn't even believe Nate to have done something wrong. He's not even willing to look at the actions of Nate. Same with Trent. I think Trent really has good intentions where Nate has bad ones (at least for season 2 and most of season 3) but Ted is unwilling to even look at the harmful actions that Nate and Trent made.
He just chackes it all up to "I could have made a better enviroment for these people's good aspects to thrive over their bad ones. The problem lies with me."
And I think that is why Ted going back to Kansas shows realistic and incomplete development.
At the beginning of the show Ted is fighting for a marriage which his wife clearly does not want to be in anymore. He let's her go.
In season 2 he actually begins to adress his problems with therapy. Although not completely, probably because he is unwilling to see the bad aspect that his ex-wife and mostly the therapist played in that. For real. That therapist acted unethically. Ted should have reported him.
He unconsiously understands that something is off which shows an acknowledgement of problematic behaviour but not fully. Ted is suspicious of him. But he is suspicious of the therapist on a basis that the therapist might be getting engaged to his ex-wife. That is not the problem. The problem is not that she has moved on. The problem is that the therapist got together with her and is likely to have manipulative or otherwise toxic behaviour. He acted unethically. Ted adresess to his ex-wife that he is uncomfortable but he is too stuck in his own stuff to see what the biggest problem is.
Season 3 Ted has adressed stuff about his dad. He is adressing stuff about his mom. He basically is dealing with some of the generational trauma so he can do less of it on his son than his parents did to him.
Ted is so not ready for a relationship at the end of season 3. He asks Sassy out and she says no. Trent is right there and if he was open to it they could really work. But not then.
Ted goes back to Kansas because he is done running away from his own bad behaviour and he wants to take responsibility to raise his son better.
That is growth from season 1. But he still does not see how he is making himself unhappy.
Hopefully he knows better than to get together with his ex-wife again. Maybe he does.
Why is it so important for Henry to be raised in Kansas?
Of course it could be hard for a kid to live in a different country, but he has travelled there before.
Where were the conversations of costudy arrangements?
Where was the suggestions that Henry could be with him in the UK?
Does Ted have a support network in Kansas?
We don't get to see any of that.
One person cannot be the only one to give in a relationship.
Trent quit his job for wanting something deeper. Something deeper which Ted reminded Trent that he could have.
Trent is willing to look at the uncomfortable difficult and painful truths and ask poignant questions about it. Ted could really use a person like that in his life...
Ted is not really a good dad and he is finally adressing that. But Ted is also still making himself misserable. He looks at the heart of other people but he doesn't look at the heart of himself.
I have no doubts that he cares about Henry and would want him to be happy. But I do have doubts about him givjng himself the same opportunity.
Thinking about Trent Crimm at the start of the show and his deeply ingrained inauthenticity... One of his first lines was 'Is this a fucking joke?'...... He's so used to things not being real. Everything's for show, for appearances.
And then he spends the day with Ted. He's not buying his whole thing at first. 'What a coincidence, the day of our interview you just happen to be visiting a local scool'. He's so suspicious. And then, at their dinner, Ted asks him 'Trent, what do you love?' and he's in shock, he doesn't have an answer,he wasn't expecting that. Considering what we now know from 3x06 as well as James Lance... About how Trent grew up feeling pressured to go into sports to fit into his father's definition of a 'real man', was gay but married a woman that didn't BELIEVE him when he came out the first time... Basically bullying the footballers he wrote about as a way to cover up for his own insecurities and lack of satisfaction with his job.... And then Ted goes and asks him 'Trent, what do you love?' How many times do you think someone even considered what HE loves, what HE wants? I'm guessing not a lot. And Ted goes on and says that his coaching is about helping the players be the best versions of themselves, regardless of wins or losses. When in Trent's entire life, being himself, let alone the best version of himself, was irrelevant.
And when Ted says that he really enjoyed spending this time with him... Trent can't wrap his head around it. His face when he asks 'You actually mean that, don't you?'. It's not just about the last thing Ted said. It's about everything Ted said, and everything Ted is.
And then, we have the article.
"Ted is out there, in the community, either bravely or stupidly facing the music." . "But if the Lasso way is wrong, I can't imagine being right." Trent lived his entire life focused on appearances, on masks, on what he was expected to do and be, for everyone else. "I can't help but root for him". He wants Ted to be right, he wants his father to be wrong, he wants to believe that who he is matters more than society's idea of what he should be.
Trent's whole world is so deeply inauthentic, and then he meets Ted, a genuine, open, vulnerable person who is unapologetically kind, and HONEST, even in the face of hatred and criticism. And it changes him. He sees a different way than the one he's used to, and he so desperately wants to take it.

YOU WERE LIKE AN ANGEL TO ME | Spencer Reid x Sunshine!Reader
Tumblr media
Request: my DARLING @avis-writeshq says- i’m a menace but i ADORED the spencer fic u posted 🥹 UGH THEYRE SO CUTE YOUR HONOURRRR 👹if it’s okay, may i request another fic with the same couple 🙈 perhaps one day reader is not as sweet or chirpy as she usually is, or she gets injured or threatened in the field? much love and lots of kisses xoxo 🫶
Description: Spencer swore he wanted to hate her. She was too happy, too chirpy, too much for a guy who spent months rotting in prison. But how could he ever hate her when she cried in his chest like that?
Length: 5k (I'm feral for these two)
warnings: post prison reid. Angst. depiction of suicide from the Unsub. gory language used. guns mentioned. mention of $nuff video and other murders. Nothing that hasn't been done on CM already.
authors note: if y'all want to see more with these two just SAY because I am all ears I would die on this ship
Tumblr media
There were a lot of times in his time at the BAU that Spencer had wished he could have changed the outcome of their bad guy, surprisingly enough. There was the time they found their UnSub a few minutes too late, and one of the victims fathers decided to take him out then and there with a shotgun to the head. He was just a kid. There was the entire time he was with Tobias Hankel, and he lived in a state of both fear and sympathy for the boy trapped in his own body after years of abuse. There was Nathan Harris, the kid who had stopped him at the subway station and practically begged him for help to stop his urges to murder, only to slit his own wrists before Spencer could get to him because he thought he was tainted.
He could see how it was easy in their job to get wrapped up in saving the day, in saving everyone they could. He just had hoped, on some stupid grace of a god he didn’t even believe in, that she would have at least remained untouched by the bad luck.
Spencer had always thought, since the first day he had arrived back into the office after his stint in prison, that she seemed to just waltz through life easier than anyone else. He knew the concept of luck was not quantifiable, that it was just a coincidence that good things happened to some people, and bad things happened to others. He always grouped himself in with the latter, because what was his entire life if not one bad hand of cards after another?
Part of him had been seething with vitriol jealousy when he first met her. He hated how the elevator doors seemed to open without hesitation for her, no waiting required. He hated how her hair never seemed to fall out of place, while his required primping and preening to upkeep. He hated how she was always so happy, whether it had been she’d been given an extra cookie at the bakery for free, or her coffee had just tasted super delicious that morning, or the road works clogging the city had been put on hold the one day she needed to drive into the office. She was one of those people, he had decided, that life just seemed to smile down upon, and she beamed back in that dazzling grin.
He felt sick to his stomach for ever wishing it gone, especially when she looked like she might never smile again.
They never liked to say that they had easy cases and hard ones, all of their cases were difficult to process. But this one had been a handful above the rest.
“UnSub has been killed on site, all units stand down,” Luke said into the radio, and the entire squadron took a sigh of relief, all of them except him.
Because he saw that look in her eye, the way everything sparkly about her seemed to have vanished.
They had been following Bobbie Wrids for a week. Five bodies in, five men shot between the eyes execution style, almost six by the time they’d arrived on the scene.
She’d gone with Tara around the front of the abandoned building; Penelope tracked their newest victim, Henry Frond, through his phone pinging off the nearest satellite towers, and it had been straight forward from there. Or at least it should have been.
Because by the time Spencer and Luke arrived in their own SUV, Penelope had time to access the rest of Henry’s phone, and it was clear to see the victimology behind all six men.
They were distributing snuff videos of women, some between themselves, some to other usernames on the darkweb, and Bobbie Wrids’ daughter had been one of them.
Bobbie had become somewhat of a vigilante, but he was a grieving father above all. He was a wounded animal chomping at the bit to soothe the ripping pain of his daughter's murder, the same one those men were getting off to.
Tara and her exchanged a glance as Penelope relayed the information over their headsets, her once serious expression falling into something sombre and sorrowful. How could she arrest a man she couldn’t help but feel sorry for, one she couldn’t help but think wasn’t entirely wrong in his actions.
“Bobbie Wrids,” Tara’s voice was stern, cutting through the silence of the desolate building. Their footsteps were careful as they made their way through the hallway, down to what had once been a rec-room, or perhaps a staff room, where they knew Bobbie had Henry, “This is the FBI, we’d like to talk,”
They heard nothing, and she looked up to the older woman hesitantly, her finger hovering over the trigger the way Spencer had taught her. Tara took a minute, knowing she was leading the charge here with the girl being so inexperienced, before she nodded to the door knob and the rookie twisted the handle, pushing the peeling wood open gently.
Bobbie Wrids stood in the centre of the room, moth eaten couches either side of the damp rug, the ceiling tiles half caved in from wear and tear. Henry Frond was already a pulp in the UnSub’s arms, and yet it was Bobbie that her eyes shot to first, sympathy shooting through every fibre of her being when she saw the distraught look on the father’s face.
He was grieving. He was grieving his little girl’s death. He was looking for a solution, and this seemed to be his best bet.
“Bobbie,” Her voice was shaky, her and Tara frozen in the doorway as the man brought the pistol to Henry’s beaten face, cocking it towards his temple before they could even explain themselves. “We’re going to come in, is that okay? We just want to talk, just let us talk-”
They had only edged closer by three paces between them as she was speaking before his knuckles turned white and he squeezed the gun tighter to Henry’s skin, the barrel contorting the flesh, “Don’t come any closer, this pig isn’t worth your mercy,”
“We know,” She said, her and Tara slowly stepping over a fallen ceiling tile, cracking under her boot as she met his desolate gaze for the first time, his head snapping to her. “We know what he did, Bobbie. What they all did.”
His throat bobbed, his bottom lip quivering and the sight of it, a man so broken, forced a frog into her oesophagus, and she willed herself not to cry.
“They hurt my little girl,” Bobbie choked out, his face turning mauve as the tears began to build behind his eyes, “She was my girl. She was only eighteen.”
She nodded, his wetted hues seemingly permissive when she stepped closer to where he held Henry hostage.
“I know, I’m so sorry for what happened to her,” She said, her voice croaky, unstable as she wrenched it into something audible, “I’m so sorry,”
“He doesn’t deserve mercy, none of them did,” Bobbie spat, his forearm crushing against Henry’s trachea in a vice-like grip. The man floundered, a wheeze coming from his lungs, not that she felt much sympathy for him.
She sprung into action, flicking her gun onto safety and holstering it, Tara doing the same as she lowered her weapon to her side. He profiled as a vigilante; he had no reason to hurt them.
“Bobbie, listen, I know they didn’t deserve to walk free, okay?” She said, taking the smallest step towards where the men stood, “But she wouldn’t want this for you, would she?”
The man flinched, his jaw hard as a rock with how he clenched his teeth together, as if holding back a sob.
“Come on, Bobbie. Let him go, we have enough evidence to get him sentenced. We can get you a plea deal, I know a good lawyer,” She begged, because she wasn’t beneath it, because she knew he was a good man backed into a corner, “Please,”
Maybe it was the way her eyes were soft when she looked at him, or the fact two more agents burst into the room from the hallway, Spencer’s eye immediately falling to where she was stood so close to their UnSub, her gun out of hand. Tara stood by, but that wasn’t good enough for him. He edged with light footsteps until he was behind her, his gaze cautious, never leaving the gun in Bobbie’s hand.
“Please,” She repeated, and Spencer saw Bobbie’s shoulders drop, every sliver of resolve draining from his body at her gentle tone, a deer approaching a hunter.
Henry was thrown to the floor, the man practically dead weight as he gasped, almost retching at the feeling of air sucking back into his chest frantically, and Luke and Tara were quick to wrestle him into cuffs, the woman reading him his Miranda rights.
Spencer almost made a grab for her then, because she was still creeping forward towards the man who had a loaded gun still live in his hand. He didn’t care for one second that the statistics said Bobbie wouldn’t lay a hand on her since she wasn’t part of his list. He didn’t care that every sign pointed to their UnSub being benevolent towards women, especially younger ones, that she fit his daughter’s description. Spencer didn’t care, he wanted her as far away from that gun as possible.
His heart lurched into his throat when Bobbie did in fact make a lunge for her, just not the way he’d feared. Because she had grabbed him. She’d pulled him into an embrace, a hug, kind and sweet as she always was.
Spencer cursed her for being so soft. It was going to get her killed.
“Agent,” His voice was terse, worried if you dug a little deeper than the sharp surface, but she didn’t listen to him. She held Bobbie tight as the man unravelled on her shoulder, falling into heart breaking sobs and it was then Spencer realised she was crying with him.
“It’s going to be okay, you’re okay,” She was shushing him, the killer, reassuring him he was safe, as if the killing thing wasn’t still between his fingers that clutched at her back with rough hands.
“They killed my girl, they took her from me, and then they laughed about it,” He wailed, and she nodded, squeezing him even tighter if that was so possible, “No one would listen, the police didn’t listen, I had to do something,”
“I know, I know, I’m so sorry,” This was wrong. She wasn’t supposed to be sympathising with the criminals. But she couldn’t help it, she couldn’t help the gasping urge to comfort the man who had lost his whole world, “I’m listening. Tell me about her,”
“She was so beautiful,” Bobbie whimpered, sniffling into her shoulder. Spencer felt his chest twinge at the scene. He hated that she was so soft. “She never hurt a soul,”
She cried with him, though hers were choked down as much as she could get them, her wet cheeks the only proof she had ever let them slip.
“I’m sorry,” She said again, because no matter how many times she repeated those two little words, it would never bring his daughter back, “I can help you,”
He pulled away from her shoulder, and it was only then that Bobbie Wrids even noticed Spencer, his face taut in anxiety as he watched the man’s hands still holding onto her body as if she was the only thing that kept him upright, which Spencer wouldn’t be surprised if it were true.
He fished the cuffs out of his back pocket, his finger never leaving the trigger as he stared down at their UnSub cautiously. He knew he may be being cruel, knew that ten years ago he would be just as caring as her. But that Spencer was long gone. And what remained was screaming in terror that she was in the line of danger, that she was holding the danger in her bare hands like she didn’t see the jeopardy she was putting herself in.
Bobbie pulled away to look at her, the creases around his eyes deep chasms, and even with the smattering of grey hair, the stubble, the cold, empty look of someone with nothing left, she thought he might have been a handsome man once. He looked at her with a ghost of a smile, and one of his callused hands came up to tuck her hair behind her ear as if it had been second nature to him for eighteen years.
“You’re a sweet girl,” He murmured, and she blinked at him, her chest easing at the way his wails had subsided into something quiet. She could help him, she swore she would help him. He was a good man beneath it all. “But no one can help me anymore, sweet girl,”
And with that he lifted the pistol beneath his chin and pulled the trigger.
She heard someone scream before she realised it was coming from her own throat, but her ears were ringing and she couldn’t open her eyes. Her face was wet and hot, and for a second she thought it was tears, but she was beyond crying now. She felt arms pulling her back into a strong chest, and someone was murmuring to her, or perhaps they were speaking normally and the sound of the gunshot had knocked her hearing. Either way, it was like someone had pulled a bag over her head as she brought her shaking hands up to her eyes to wipe.
She managed to crack her lids then when the sludge was gone, only to see the room still a blurry mess. She could make out, in the haze of blobs and crimson tint, Bobbie’s body slumped to the floor, a dark puddle seeping into the rug as those long arms tugged her out of the room. She only then looked down to her hands where she had rubbed her face and she caught the same claret plasma coating her fingers, her white shirt, her pants, her arms. It covered her head to toe.
It was in her eyes, she realised when she saw the ichor coating her fingertips. It was blocking her vision, turning the world a vivid wine colour, and she thinks she whimpered, or perhaps it was a moan of horror seeing the puddle beneath Bobbie’s body growing larger by the second.
“I don’t understand,” She said out loud, her head spinning, and she brought her fingertips up to her eyes again, maybe to get the blood out, god there was so much blood on her face, or maybe because she hoped to everything out there that she would clear her sight and find it all a terrible hallucination, the product of one too many nights of sleepless tossing.
But when she rubbed her lids again, this time seeing the scene a little better, Bobbie was still dead. She had still been too late.
“You’re in shock, you need to breathe,” A voice instructed her over her shoulder, and it was from the same person who had their hands around her waist, pulling her away from the crime scene, as CSI filed in from behind them.
She tried pushing the arms off her, weak because she couldn’t feel anything that wasn’t the horror in her stomach, and it took her a second before she listened to their words and realised she was holding a breath in her chest, the way a toddler does when they’re overwhelmed.
“I don’t-” She gasped, the air rushing through her lungs, so fast it made her cough, “I don’t understand, I was going to help him- I don’t understand- why?”
“I know, just breathe for me, sweetheart,” Spencer. She only just realised it was Spencer speaking, because he had never called her that and the gentle tone he’d taken was nothing like his usual, civil cadence. He had been dropping a few jokes the past few weeks since she’d driven him home, had been more touchy feely with correcting her form when she was at the shooting range, had delicately touched the small of her back when they were navigating a crowd together. He was slowly cracking from his statuesque expression that hadn’t left his face since he’d gotten out of prison, but the softness with which he held her waist was entirely new.
“Spencer, I don’t- I don’t get it,” She said, her voice bubbling into a sob as she allowed herself to be pulled away with no fight left in her. He took her into the hallway, turning her body from the sight of his hand lifeless on the floor with little to no effort. She was damn near limp in his arms, “Spencer, I don’t under-understand, I was going to h-help him, why would h-he do that-”
“Shhh, you need to breathe,” He murmured into her hair, trying to lead her out the front of the building and far away from where she’d just been front row seats to a messy suicide, “Come on, just breathe for me, baby, and then we can talk,”
But she wasn’t listening, and he wasn’t offended. Spencer knew it was the shock. He knew the symptoms by how her respiratory system had picked up in a matter of seconds and it was like she had gone from zero to a hundred. She let out a long whine, tears collecting the blood on her lash line and her chest seized into action, gulping down air, too short to do anything for her lungs, and her legs began to buckle beneath the two of them.
Spencer stopped in the hallway, realising she was in more shock than he must have thought. He knew she was sensitive, hell it was one of his favourite things about her. He knew she felt everything so deeply, burned too easily, like a daisy wilting in a dry heat, or candyfloss melting in his mouth. Spencer knew, as awful as watching death up close was for any agent, it would hit her hardest of all of them.
He moved around to her front, his hands migrating from her waist up to her shoulders, brushing over her upper arms soothingly. But her body felt numb, her head felt heavy, and her eyes were glazed over, down a rabbit hole entirely away from him, even when one of his hands cupped her wetted cheek gently.
“Just breathe, hey, look at me,” He tried a firmer tone, and she bent to his will too easily. It was a punch in the gut seeing everything shining and pretty leached out of her eyes, as if she had become soulless in a matter of minutes, as if she had lost all hope in the world the second Bobbie pulled that trigger. She looked like hell, blood still fresh on her cheeks, in her hair, smeared around her eye sockets where she had scrubbed so hard to get it off her skin, “You need to calm down, you’re going to faint if you don’t breathe,”
She nodded, or something close to it, her eyes falling down to the floor, and she seemed to wrestle for control over her chest then. But what came after was worse, Spencer thought. Her brows screwed together, her eyes welling up with more of those fat tears, and her lips dropping into a devastated pout, her eyes trailing over the mess on her uniform, on her hands.
“Spencer, I don’t understand, I tried to help him, I wanted to help him,” She sobbed, sniffling to herself miserably, and he barely even thought about it when he pulled her into his chest, not caring that her skin would dirty his shirt.
His hand wound into her hair, stroking her sweetly as she buried her wails into his vest. He used his other arm to pull her close to him, which she seemed to have zero qualms about as she clawed at his back to keep him close, as if she didn’t want to face what was going to happen when they left that building.
Spencer regretted ever thinking her sunshine was too bright for him.
She hadn’t smiled in a whole week. Well, that wasn’t entirely true. She had given Penny a very forced smile when she had fussed over the younger woman the first day she got back, had said thankyou with downcast eyes and a fragile grin when the blonde presented her with a framed picture of a puppy to keep on her desk ‘incase she needed something nice to think about,’
She hadn’t looked at it once, because they both knew it wouldn’t do anything, no matter how much she pretended for Penelope’s sake that she would put it to good use.
He had taken her out for coffee on him that first day, but by the time they had got to the front of the queue, he had been doing almost all of the talking, which had become rare nowadays since he had come home from Mexico. Usually, it had been her filling the silences, because he knew in her right mind she hated the sound of static nothingness, she found it awkward and unnecessary when she could talk to anyone without thinking about it too hard.
They had got to the desk, the barista smiling up at him as he ordered his usual, before he turned to look at her as the woman serving asked her what she would like. But she wasn’t listening, she was watching out the window, nothing particularly invigorating beside a bird cleaning its feathers on top of a stop sign.
He said her name, putting his hand on her back and her head whipped around, her eyes empty as they looked up at him expectantly, “What do you want to drink?”
She blinked, waking herself from a stupor, and looked at the barista with an embarrassed expression, “Hot chocolate, please,”
And that was all she really had to say until lunch rolled around, and she excused herself to head home early. Emily smiled at her reassuringly, her eyes wary as she watched their happy-go-lucky rookie head for the elevators with a desolate look in her eyes.
Spencer hoped she would come around on her own, or maybe even be brave enough to talk to someone about the thoughts rattling around that head of hers, but she just didn’t. She stayed as silent as possible, only ever speaking when spoken to, asking Emily if she could finish off her reports at home, to which the Prentiss woman never protested.
But Spencer had had enough. He’d worried himself sick over her, and where all thoughts of how endearing and lovely and charming she was had sat in his head before, now it was all just ways he could think to make her smile again.
It was the following Tuesday by the time he braved action. She had gone home after their midday briefing, apologising to Emily with tired eyes that seemed to be growing more and more heavy by the day, like she hadn’t slept a wink in a fortnight. Which Spencer thought was entirely possible.
He pulled up to the house Penelope had not so discreetly told him was hers, definitely not because he’d asked, and definitely, definitely not breaching any human resource policies about distributing fellow workers information (meaning Spencer had almost certainly not begged Penelope for the address with those puppy eyes of his he knew could bag him anything).
The peonies in the window bays were wilting but her house was something out of a fairytale. He wasn’t sure why he was really so surprised. It screamed her, everything about it, from the toadstool post box to the little green, cast iron bench that sat in the garden, the metal forged to look like florets of ivy holding the sitter upright.
He rapped the brass knocker, the metal cold under his long fingers. Brushing invisible dirt off his shirt, he hoped she would answer as the present squirmed at his feet.
“Just a second,” He hushed, and as if she heard him, the front door swung open to reveal her bare face he hadn’t seen since he’d helped her wipe the blood from her skin in the back of the ambulance.
She looked at him with furrowed brows, before they quickly shot to the floor, to her cobbled pathway that had clicked under his shoes, and her face washed with a shock.
“Oh my god, Spencer!” She crouched to her knees, a slobbery lick immediately meeting her cheek as the Spaniel rubbed his wet nose up to her ear, sniffing her unique smell, as if it was a bag of Class A’s, “I never knew you had a dog,”
“I don’t,” He replied, kneeling with her to ruffle the soft fur behind the canine’s ear, “This is Ace. He retired from the Bomb Unit a month ago and Penelope sent me his handler’s number. They said he’s the happiest dog in the world,”
“I would be too if I stopped so many people from blowing up,” She said, but before he could ask what she meant exactly by that, Ace had jumped up and attacked her entire face with kisses as if he too thought that statement was worth silencing.
And she laughed. She laughed louder than she had in days, weeks, her eyes crinkling in joy as the little pink tongue stole away her sorrow, tickled away the traces of the blood that had tainted her skin.
Spencer smiled, his eyes watching her face scrunch in a squeal, hands eventually coming up to the elderly dog’s jowls to gently push him down.
“Oh, you are the sweetest guy,” She said, and the words had him tugging at the leash to lick her all over again, “Yes you are, you’re the sweetest little guy around, huh?”
She chuckled, scratching down the mutt’s neck, and her eyes flicked back up to Spencer, who watched her with more intent than she’d realised.
“Petting and receiving affection from pets causes spikes in serotonin in our brain and reduces anxiety, did you know that?” Spencer said, Ace pushing his muzzle into the palm of her hand to prove a point.
Her smile wavered slightly, and she looked at his hazel hues that seemed to see right through her, “Look, I’m sorry I’ve been so off lately, I just can’t sleep at the moment-”
“Don’t apologise,” He cut in, though his tone was kind, and the two of them stood back up to their full height, “What happened was horrifying, even some of the longest serving agents I know would struggle seeing that,”
She scoffed, unusually pessimistic coming out of her mouth, “You wouldn’t,”
His head tilted, not quite understanding what she meant, because she hadn’t sounded cruel when she said it. Then again, he didn’t think she was actually capable of that emotion.
She looked at him, a flash of something vulnerable in her eyes, something like that day he’d held her in the hallway; too fast he almost missed it.
“You’re so brave, Spencer, you’re like invincible. I mean, you survived prison and your mom getting kidnapped and you bounced straight back to work like it was nothing. I can’t even watch a murderer die without spiralling out of control,” She huffed, rubbing the bridge of her nose and before he could respond on just how wrong she was, before he could tell her that that was exactly the opposite of what had happened because he had damn near changed every inch of himself in prison to stop himself from breaking, he caught her murmuring and he thought he might just have been punched all over again, “I wish I was like you,”
His jaw clenched, eyebrows furrowing into a frown as he stepped towards her, and her head shot to him, worried she may have said the wrong thing by mentioning everything that had happened, everything Pen had specifically said was a touchy subject, and she opened her mouth to apologise.
“Do you know how unbelievably glad I am that you are nothing like me?” Spencer said, his voice bordering on furious and her fumbled for a reply, worried she had truly pissed him off.
She wouldn’t blame him for hating her. She’d always worried, until perhaps that day they’d gotten into her car and she’d driven him home, that her very essence annoyed him.
“I’m sorry-” She started, but he shook his head.
“Stop apologising,” He said, his hand reaching up to grab where her fingers tugged together nervously, his hold featherlike, his face softening when he saw her expression, “I don’t want you to be anything like me. I like you just how you are,”
She sighed, eyes doe like with emotion as she looked at him, “Really?”
He smiled, a rare and genuine smile as she seemed to glow under his words, “Yes, really.” Spencer allowed himself to enjoy the way that the twinkle returned to her expression when he smiled at her with something almost like the old Spencer in him, before he cleared his throat, “We all like you. Everyone on the team likes how you are,”
She paused, nodding to herself as if knocking herself out of a silly daze, and Ace bounced on his hind legs trying to get her attention again.
“You don’t think I’m too sensitive?” She asked, holding her palm out for the dog to nuzzle at with that wet nose of his.
Spencer shook his head, “Sensitive is good. It means you feel something. Means you feel the good things deeper too,”
Her smile was blinding, because she’d never thought of it that way before, and she looked like her old self again. Spencer wasn’t stupid enough to think she was never going to think about Bobbie again, he still thought about that first UnSub he’d tried to save. He still thought about Tobias Hankel. He thought about them all.
But he was going to make sure she never turned into him. He didn’t think he’d ever forgive himself if she did. He’d protect her sunlight even if it burned him to know he could never have her the way he wanted. Because she was everything good, and he was him.
She looked down at Ace, the life returning to her as she stood aside for the two of them to enter her house, “Tea?”
Yep. Spencer felt something run hot knowing she would always be out of reach. Didn’t stop him from thinking about it, though.

God, I'm so happy with what they did with Maddie Nolen.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people mad because obviously there was a weird backlash over a character who has sex with one half a ship, so I'm sure some people worry this will lead those people to feel justified in their initial response.
But ignoring people who can't emotionally regulate for a second, because those childish impulses aren't worth dictating the fun things a narrative can do: Maddie is SO INTERESTING as a character and she fills in a lot of the questions people seemed to have about the rest of the season.
Consider for a moment that it wasn't Caitlyn who convinced Vi to be an Enforcer. It was Maddie.
Tumblr media
I know that some people took this line to be about Zaunites, a sort of obvious connection to the very racist idea of "one of the good ones," but since Maddie is talking about Marcus and his betrayal of the Enforcers just before this, I'm pretty sure her framing here is something else. The point she's making is specifically targeted at Vi's own beliefs and weaknesses, her desire to protect. That seems clear to me now with all we know about Maddie's capacity for manipulation.
She's not saying, "You're good, for a poor."
She's saying, "Wow, I agree with you, the Enforcers are really bad; it's so upsetting. I think you might be the only one who can change it, but only if you join us." This is what convinces Vi to do something she never thought she would.
Well, this and the fact that Caitlyn believes in her so much which, again, is information she gets fed to her directly from Maddie. It even seems like Maddie seeks her out just to say this, which on first viewing felt oddly convenient. Wow, Vi just happens to meet this naive girl who just happens to say exactly what she needs to hear to do something so out of character.
Except obviously none of it was coincidence. Everyone already knew how much Vi meant to Caitlyn and getting Caitlyn under control would require either controlling Vi or removing her from the equation. This was a push in that direction.
Tumblr media
Then there's her more obvious role as the spy in Caitlyn's bed, there to reassure her that the Noxians are only trying to keep all of them safe. Then when Caitlyn expresses larger doubts, she's immediately ready to lay out an alternative. You could just give up, Maddie seems to whisper gently in her ear. Just reestablish things as they were before.
But she knows Caitlyn isn't going to go for that. She's not going to go back to the council as it was, because it's only going to remind her of the empty place her mother left behind. Maddie knows that Caitlyn isn't going to take this offer, which is precisely why she suggests it. She frames quitting as the only clear alternative to going along with everything Ambessa wants because she knows that Caitlyn will refuse, which leads her right back into alignment with Ambessa. She makes continued obedience into an active choice that Caitlyn affirms she's making.
Even Maddie's comments that suggest direct opposition to Ambessa — "you're our leader... I follow you" — are designed to frame herself and her true leader in direct opposition, just as Ambessa's own warning about entanglements is there to further that point. They both make a point of reminding Caitlyn that they are her true ally, isolating her further from anyone who isn't the devil and (other) devil on her shoulders.
This way Maddie and Ambessa can both tug at Caitlyn, pulling in what feels to her like opposite directions, all so that she lands precisely where they wanted her all along but with the illusion of active agency.
And look, I'm not saying my read on her is gospel, because I think they intentionally gave us enough room to really speculate and wonder about her, someone who could have been just a background nothing character but ends up being such a huge part of the second season. That's so interesting!
I especially love that she comes across as really naive and innocent, just some poor little thing swept up in the fervor, when in reality she's a true believer who has been manipulating things to go her way from the start.

Maybe you can get back the things you thought were lost. You can experience greater comfort and get more gifts. If you have children, their success or recognition may bring you pride during this time. If you don't have children, this could also symbolize the "creative offspring" of your efforts-such as projects, investments, or business ideas-that now start to gain respect or value.
🍊Cancer Rising- During this time, you can express yourself more, your desires, your opinions, and you can find happiness on your own. Jupiter can give you a sense of being able to do things on your own and confidence in how you present yourself. Especially if you don't like being alone or doing things alone, Jupiter can bring you a sense of losing that fear. You may experience many happy coincidences during this time. You can start doing some sport or something related to your body. You may become more aware of inflammation, weight, or digestive issues (upiter rules the liver and metabolism). There's a greater need to balance expansion with discipline-watch for overindulgence in food, drink, or overexertion. Healing childhood impressions by rewriting your personal narrative with greater faith and optimism. If you're a parent, your child may become more curious about philosophy, religion, or foreign cultures.
🐯Leo Rising-During this time, you will be more intuitive and will be able to perceive things differently than usual. You can be more connected to your subconscious and spiritual things. This transit often coincides with temporary or long-term stays abroad, especially for spiritual, healing, or retreat purposes. Jupiter here brings divine support, but it's still a time of inner work, letting go, forgiveness, and closure. Your sleep, dreams, and downtime become more meaningful and healing You will sleep more deeply or need more rest, have vivid or symbolic dreams, discover spiritual ways to relax (yoga, meditation, water rituals). Jupiter expands your subconscious, psychic, and intuitive faculties. Jupiter brings a chance to merge with the divine, your higher self, or the universal flow. It's a sacred time-often quiet, misunderstood by others, but rich with insight.

🌸Libra Rising-During this time you may get more luck related to work or a reward for work. Maybe you can adjust your path or career depending on what stage of life you are in because you can also take a break from work during this time. You have more freedom, period, and you don't have to work as much anymore. You can change careers or achieve a desired goal during this time. You can experience many fateful moments and things that take you in a completely different direction. Jupiter in this house can also mean getting married or engaged because it also represents a sign of getting married in a more serious way or making a serious commitment to someone. Earning money through international or digital means. Outgrow certain friendships. See friends experience hardship while you're focused on your path. Feel disconnected from your old community. This is a classic "success can feel lonely" kind of theme. Stay grounded and compassionate. These interpretations reflect possible major karmic closures connected to visibility, status shifts, or public transitions. They are not guaranteed outcomes: Bring status changes (e.g., divorce, loss, or major transitions in family structure), Trigger ancestral or karmic events (especially if Saturn or Pluto are also involved). Success or outer growth leads to inner questioning. You might feel the pressure of status and crave authenticity over ambition. You could step back temporarily to redefine your mission.
🦋Scorpio Rising- During this time you can travel more and travel longer distances, which are further away. You can go on the trip you've always wanted. This usually symbolizes larger journeys that give you more meaning in life or through which you find yourself and your faith. Dive deeper into philosophy, theology, or law. Develop or restructure your belief systems. You can move abroad, connect with foreigners or foreign culture, study or teach overseas. You might join or leave a religious/spiritual group. Explore new belief systems. You may find faith and meaning in new or deeper ways. Even skeptics may have a spiritual awakening during this transit. You might: Publish your work (books, blogs, creative content), gain recognition for your philosophical or visionary ideas. More fun, optimism, and expansion in your romantic life. You feel freer to love, play, and express joy-especially when it connects to meaning and passion.
🍒Sagittarius Rising- you can get a lot of money from other people. Jupiter acts as a guide through the underworld-not in a negative sense, but by expanding your access to depth, mystery, intimacy, shared resources, and spiritual power. Access deep spiritual states (meditation, astral travel, dream work). Receive messages from spirit guides or the unconscious. Experience personal death and rebirth moments-symbolic or energetic. Support from others financially (partner, bank, inheritance, grants, investments). Opportunities to manage or benefit from pooled money. Jupiter brings abundance when you combine forces, not when you try to do everything alone. If you're in a committed relationship, your partner may come into new resources or be more generous. Some may literally receive an inheritance (money, wisdom, or property). If single, you might attract a partner with financial stability-or someone who opens the door to emotional or material transformation. You may deepen your emotional and sexual bonds. Learn to trust and be vulnerable at new levels. Heal from past trauma around intimacy, abandonment, or power struggles. Jupiter brings expansion through surrender and soul merging. You learn that true intimacy is a gateway to freedom, not loss of control. Gain wisdom through loss, endings, or psychological breakthroughs. Jupiter can also save you from accidents or saves you from illness.
💍Capricorn Rising-During this time, you can enter into a serious relationship that will bring you a lot of joy and happiness. You can find someone who will really suit you and even a person who can be from another country. Someone who is wise, adventurous, optimistic, and fun. You can usually get into a relationship with someone you know from before, or a relationship that may have started recently can turn into something more serious. You can also get engaged or married during this time. You can also meet a serious partner or soulmate-type figure. Attracting partners who are wise, foreign, older, or more spiritual. You may be drawn to someone older, well-traveled, or with a teacher/guru vibe. Your partner could bring new belief systems, worldviews, or cultures into your life.Realizing the spiritual purpose behind your relationships. You may see clearly who truly supports you and who doesn't. You can also start your business or attract business partnerships or collaborations. Some friends may leave your life if your values no longer align. Jupiter teaches us that others are often mirrors, showing us what we need to grow through. If you have saturn & jupiter in this house it can means you will very serious about commitment.
🌌Aquarius Rising- The focus will be on your routine, daily life and work. You can get the job you wanted. During this time, you can have more job interviews and people can see potential in you. Your relationship with your body can change and you can start to love your body more and accept yourself for who you are during this time. A shift in how you see your physical body-more respect, less shame. A desire to treat your body like a temple, not a machine. Jupiter brings optimism and expansion. Can expose issues if you've neglected your health (inflammation, overindulgence, liver or weight issues). Encourages holistic or natural healing approaches-herbs, nutrition, body-mind awareness. You may feel more enthusiastic about structure, or even crave it after chaos. Jupiter helps you expand your daily rituals into something meaningful-morning walks, gratitude practices, or study routines. You may adopt or foster pets. It teaches that growth isn't only spiritual or romantic-it's in how you treat your body, how you serve others, and how you care for your space, pets, and work.
🌙Pisces Rising- During this time you can meet someone new and have a new romance. This is a highly romantic transit—new love can come in, or an existing romance can be rekindled with more joy and adventure. Jupiter attracts partners who are fun, creative, and possibly foreign, spiritual, or generous. If you're healing from past heartbreaks, Jupiter brings light, confidence, and hope for love again. Creative investments (like starting a business, selling art, etc.) are favored more than reckless gambling. You might become pregnant, give birth, or be surrounded by children more than usual. If you have children already, this transit brings growth, travel, joy, or spiritual learning through them. You may write poetry, music, or stories. You may feel more drawn to play, leisure, and pleasure. Sports and performance activities may bring recognition, fun, or healing. Play, laughter, romance, and creativity become your medicine. Relaxation now often comes from doing things you love. Travel, dance, painting, nature, or falling in love might all feel like soul restarts.

Boutta rant abt my blorbo sooo spoiler warning for new Deltarune chaptersss
So.
Berdly.
We got almost NOTHING about him from the new chapters, but I think he deserves to be discussed in light of the new information.
First things first, I don't think enough people talk about the obvious parallels between him and Susie.
Both have spent a lot of time antagonizing Kris, Both sided with the "Villian" in the dark world, and used it to fulfill various fantasies of theirs (susie getting to beat up everyone there, berdly trynna build "smarttopia" or whatever) Both experienced significant character development in the dark world (unfortunately, berdly immediately backtracked as soon as he "woke up") Both cope with feelings of inadequacy by lashing out at others and trying to make themselves seem "bigger" and "cooler" than they actually are (Susie through physical intimidation and Berdly through manipulation and self-aggrandizing behavior) Both have strangely protective tendancies???? Both feel like side characters in their own story. Both are unpopular with peers and authority figures Not to mention, their weapons are EXTREMELY SIMILAR WTF
And also, something I find really interesting,
Neither of them are a part of "the three heroes" of the prophecy.
LONG-ASS PROPHECY INTERPRETATION TANGENT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BERDLY:
The part of the prophecy where the three "heroes" are mentioned, when put in order, reads as follows:
"The first hero. The cage, with human soul and parts.
The second hero, the girl with hope crossed on her heart.
The third hero, the prince, alone in deepest dark.
And last ,was the girl. At last, was the girl."
While it may seem that Susie would be the second hero, especially with how she is associated with hope in chapter 4, the image that goes with that line appears to be a girl in robes, holding a sword (possibly the sword made from the thorn ring) implies noelle may have actually been the one intended to be the second hero.
The way the image of the girl holding the sword is also used with "love finds the girl", with some of these images including a small SOUL in the chest of the girl pictured. This correlates to how, in the weird route, we seem to have implanted a piece of our SOUL, and thus our control, into her. As well as the implications of "love" finding her, suggesting that the second hero will have violence thrust upon her, which happens to Noelle in the weird route.
That, plus the fact that Kris wanted to be partnered with noelle in the group project, that Susie only ended up in the dark world by pure coincidence, further suggests that Noelle was the second hero intended by the prophecy.
Also, the image that goes with the "At last was the girl" line, looks exactly like "Rude Buster", one of Susie's attacks, which she uses to defeat the titan along with Gerson at the end of chapter 4.
LONG-ASS PROPHECY INTERPRETATION TANGENT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BERDLY IS OVER, NOW I WILL CONTINUE TO TALK ABT THE PROPHECY JUST WITH BERDLY NOW
Now that that's out of the way, I wanna talk about how the prophecy deals with Berdly, which I find FASCINATING.
If you're confused because you don't remember seeing anything at all relating to Berdly in the prophecy in Chapter 4, you're 100% right on the FUCKING MONEY.
He's
NOT
FUCKING
IN THERE
He's never mentioned ONCE, despite the prophecy discussing many characters and events that go beyond the main "three heroes" thing,
whether it's King's defeat, Queen's "chariots", Tenna being sliced up, Lancer saying Toothpaste boy, Asgore in asylum, fuckign JOCKINGTON GROWING A BEARD, the prophecy is littered with references to things that happen all over previous chapters.
But, the thing is, NONE of those things would have been changed if Berdly wasn't in the game.
As far as the prophecy is concerned,
Berdly doesn't exist.
This wouldn't seem too important if it weren't for the fact that he is DIRECTLY INVOLVED in the ONLY game-changing decision SO FAR.
Without him, there is no weird route.
Sure, you can choose to cancel it several times afterward, but the thing is, that's the only time you shift the route of the game. After that, you can only either double down or backtrack, not forge any new paths.
It's strange that someone who functions as the marker between to distinct paths wouldn't be mentioned in the prophecy.
So, here's a little theory of mine:
I think Berdly's the big sleeper character in Deltarune.
Think about it,
out of the main 5, (the lighteners and ralsei,) he's the one we know LEAST about. Sure, they all have mysteries attached to them, but that's part of the reason they're THERE.
Berdly so far has nothing going for him storywise besides him being an annoying fuckwad who gets his shit absolutely wrecked in the weird route.
I genuinely don't believe Toby Fox would make such a unique character who fits the themes of the game perfectly just to eat shit in an alternative route and be forgotten.
I think players are SUPPOSSED to forget him, SUPPOSED to just be like ugh it's that fuckin bird that I hate and move on.
ESPECIALLY since he gets so little screentime in the new chapters, I think Toby is lulling us into a false sense of berdly-less security, letting us think he's served his purpose in the plot.
(and Ik this is probably hard to believe, since if ur reading this ur probably in the corner of the fandom that LOVES berdly, but most Deltarune players do tend to totally dismiss him)
I think Tony Forks is gonna hit us with a berdly-shaped truck in SPECIFICALLY chapter 5, since the weird route only affects ONE THING in the light world outside of Kris and Noelle's sanity.
Berdly being at the festival.
ISTG SOMETHING'S GONNA HAPPEN WITH HIM
but yea, berdly is 100% a sleeper in the plot.
Also kerdly is canon.

squid games guard!rin, who has been a guard in the squid games for years now. he started when he was sixteen, and he was now twenty-one. rising from the rank of a the lowest of the guards to one of the highest ranked triangle guards surely wasn't simply, but considering how his older brother sae was the head guard, rin certainly had it easier than most of the other triangle guards in order to obtain such a position. loki, the frontman, seems rather fond of him as well.
squid games guard!rin, who expects yet another year of mundane killing and organ harvesting, perhaps breaking a fight here and there. but in the changing room, when he is looking over all of the other guards changing the unconscious players, his eyes zero in on someone: you, number 099. he almost can't believe that you had came to the squid games of all people; he grew up with you, you were his childhood crush, and he even dated you for a while, although he left you when he was sixteen to become a guard in the squid games.
squid games guard!rin, who repeatedly tells himself to keep the games fair, that he shouldn't be looking out for you. and yet when you wake up on the bunker, he can't help but silently beg that you can keep calm and survive red light green light. he can't help but notice the way that your eye twitched when you see the unthinkable amount of money in the pot, instantly sensing that something was wrong. rin wants you to leave; you shouldn't stay here. what if you die?
squid games guard!rin, who notices how you move ever so slightly during red light green light. the color in your skin was still washed away from the panic of the earlier massacre when a few people had moved, and you were shaking. all of the other guards are slacking off, only shooting the people who are moving a lot. rin knows he should fire-- he has to. and yet he can't bring himself to aim the gun at you, images of your smile constantly reappearing in his head.
squid games guard!rin, who notices that you've made yourself a few allies. kunigami rensuke, who was unbelivably strong and capable, along with an unshaking resolve and responsibility. chigiri hyoma, who was a quick runner and was the first person to make it through during red light green light. bachira meguru, who is hyper and overly enthusiastic and yet an extreme help, saving numerous people at the last second during red light green light. and finally, isagi yoichi, who was horrifyling clever and analytical. perfect, it was just enough people for you to survive the next round: the deadly pentathlon.
squid games guard!rin, who sneaks a few pieces of bread into his pocket and "accidentally" slips it onto your bunk bed when your stomach continues to growl even after eating. you look up at him in shock, but rin walks away immediately. you know it's best not to question him, but the logic doesn't quench your curiosity. but you're too hungry to care at that moment, only stuffing the food in your mouth. but isagi, who had watched the whole interaction, can't help but find rin suspicious. isagi stood behind you during red light green light, and yet when you were shaking, you were never shot.
squid games guard!rin, who subtly places your team at the very last during the pentathlon, giving you an advantage. you think that it's just a coincidence, but isagi knows better. isagi practically stalks rin for the entire game until it was your team's turn to go. what was with rin's fixation on you? it had only been two days since the games started, so it was impossible for rin to fall in love with and risk his life for you in less than a week. then what was it? did he know you outside of the games? were you cheating? but you didn't seem like the type. isagi would have to investigate later. for now, he just had to survive the second round.
squid games guard!rin, who is staring intently when it's your turn. please, you had to survive this. you were playing ddakji, and thank goodness, you passed with the first hit. kunigami was responsible for the flying stone, chigiri was forced into doing gonggi ("because you look like a girl and you said that you have an older sister!" bachira exclaimed), bachira did spinning tops, while isagi did jegi. you all passed with ten seconds left on the clock, and rin let out a silent sigh of relief. but rin noticed; he noticed isagi's stare and suspicious glances towards him. looks like rin had one more problem to solve.
squid games guard!rin, who could feel his heart drop during mingle. five people was a good amount for a team, yes, but what if you had to split up? what if more people were needed? and if you didn't win, what if rin was the one who had to kill you? as the song begins to play, rin notices how you're nearly squeezing the hands of your teammates from the pentathlon, refusing to let go. when the numbers begin to get called out, rin's eyes are watching you each and every time, making sure that you made it into a room safely before firing.
squid games guard!rin, who is confronted by isagi the night after the mingle game. rin remains stoic despite isagi's accusations that were very much valid, only telling isagi to go to sleep. isagi refuses, knowing that it's unbelievably unfair for rin to constantly be shielding you. meanwhile, you're fast asleep, not knowing a single thing that's going on. finally, rin knocks isagi out, and after making sure that no one's watching, rin carries you on his back and leaves the facility, smuggling you out.
squid games guard!rin, who knows that loki and sae won't kill him. they both care for him deeply, and one single contestant surely wouldn't mean that much. in fact, the VIPs might even find it amusing. star-crossed lovers, a guard and a player, escaping the island. plus, rin will just come back next year for the next games anyways. but just this time, he'll break the rules. he doesn't want to see the person he loves most die after all.

a/n: i was struggling to decide whether chigiri or kunigami should have gonggi since kunigami has an older and younger sister and chigiri looks like a girl and has an older sister. in the end i chose chigiri because i cant imagine the pretty little princess chigiri playing flying stones.
