supernatural movie reboot but its a ghostfacers mockumentary about their attempt to make a “serious film” about sam and dean winchester. opens on ed and harry going “CUT!” and the camera pans to a guy that looks kind of like jared padalecki pulling off a party city wig. turns out the finale was actually part of the ghostfacer’s retelling of supernatural. Sam Dean and Castiel spend the entire movie chasing after ed and harry trying to stop the thing being made. (its a huge commercial success and they screen it at the destiel wedding)

tbh one of the main reasons why i disagree with the popular take that sam secretly wants to be dominant/aggressive with dean is because i can’t think of at least one scene from canon where sam (possessed!sam and soulless!sam don’t count) genuinely enjoyed having control over dean. i think it’s very telling that there’s a lot of moments where sam willingly lets dean take physical control in their relationship and it seems like he even welcomes it. something about the way he willingly lets dean manhandle him or hit him and the way he makes himself small around dean, especially when dean hugs him. much to think about. he also knows that dean *needs* to have physical control over him, dean literally craves it and he goes violent and insane when he doesn’t have at least a little bit of control over sam. that’s part of why sam is able to manipulate him by being submissive but again he prefers it that way/does it willingly, and honestly i’m obsessed with that. yes it’s fucked up but that’s why their dynamic is so delicious

Supernatural obviously has me on chokehold 24/7 bUT I'm watching dead boy detectives and the scene in episode 5 of Edwin saying in the swings "there are these feelings that I'm not used to" IS LITERALLY THE DEAN CONFFESION SCENE

what do you fucking mean that's how charlie dies. THAT'S HOW CHARLIE DIES??? i mean i know the show has a penchant for killing off every character who's not a winchester brother or an angel of thursday but good god. what the fuck. charlie was such a good and enjoyable recurring character, and she had such a fandom impact that i've seen, and she's only around for THREE SEASONS?? (sidebar: it's amazing she has the presence she does for only being around for a couple episodes in the long run!) but: was this necessary? and she just dies offscreen after her skills are utilized to progress the plot of decoding the book of the damned?? oh my god. what in the actual fuck. i'm finding myself getting genuinely very upset at her death. she did not fucking deserve that. and i can absolutely see why the fan response to her death is what it is now. completely fucking unjustified and throwaway and useless.

Silly little snippets of scenarios based on this post that Dean accidentally became a freelance reporter during the Stanford era for @angelsdean
Prompt 9 – martyr
Sometimes he wrote pieces that were only destined for the blog. He guessed that newspapers would call them “opinion pieces” but to Dean they were just venting. Heavily veiled venting of course, because if he actually started talking about little brothers who were currently locked up in hell’s high security division together or fathers with 25 year vengeance quests his readers would start to think that he’d ventured into fiction for a change.
He took another slug from the whiskey bottle and stared at the words on the screen. He was angry - with God, with Sam, with his Dad and even with himself. His family’s tendency to martyr themselves for the cause had left him the only one standing.
All he had ever wanted was his family safe and together. Instead, Dad and later Sam had been willing to sacrifice everything in the name of revenge. Nothing mattered (including Dean, it felt like) except the mission and Dean had to go along with it or get left behind. Now he’d been left behind permanently. Left to become a living sacrifice to his brother’s wishes, in the home of a near stranger who’s son could have been his but wasn’t.
NOTE: I said it somewhere else, but Dean sees his articles/blog as kind of like his hunting journal. So yeah, sometimes Dean is going to go full angst in his diary. Especially when he doesn't really have anyone to spill that all on.

if anything, talks of an spn reboot are motivating me to actually finally watch s15, but I only want to do that if the reboot takes the SPN finale and completely just fucking ignores it.

thinking about goodbye stranger again. thinking about all the times that heaven tried to break cas open and forcibly remove his love for dean winchester only for it to fail every time not just because cas loves him in a way that can't be undone but also because heaven never accounted for dean loving him back
