Even though Colin’s new sexual experience and Pen’s practical need for a marriage this season really played a huge role in speeding things up, could you imagine what that same scenario would have been like if Peneloise were still cool?

I actually want their distance to stay that way a bit longer in that sense - like allow the couple their honeymoon period without interference - I know that’s not what’s gonna happen and El will immediately and quite reasonably bring the LW issue to play. About Dyersfilm’s “leak”

For all of you who don’t know, dyersfilm is an insufferable individual who used to go by the name of swiftlynatalia. She is racist, homophobic, transphobic, and even made fun of her supposed favorite actress’ eating disorder. However, people on Twitter (especially mlvns) entertain her because she had reliable sources during the filming of S4, and after during post production. She had some true leaks, many being the same that Reddit got right, while others only she had. She was also wrong about quite a few things, but generally she was reliable.

It is worth noting though that she is extremely biased against byler (many of the leaks she got wrong for S4 were pertaining their storyline) and absolutely hates the ship.

This time around, she was getting some leaks during the first couple of months of filming to her curious cat, but she herself claimed that these were not reliable leaks whatsoever and that she was pissed because this time she doesn’t have access to the real sources she had for S4. She has complained about this repeatedly for these past few months. The leaks she has gotten tho, many she has mocked and made fun of because they don’t align with what she wants from the show. She also made a “disclaimer” when the show started filming again that she would not be posting leaks about Byler because she hates us all, and yet every single one of those most likely fake leaks she got she posted, and many of them talked about Byler. She would post them and mock them for “clearly being untrue”. She has barely gotten a single Mlvn positive leak this whole time, and when she’s gotten at least something that alludes to them having scenes together she immediately ran to post it and alert all her friends, even tho she herself knows all of these are most likely fake.

For weeks now, her curious cat has been dry af because I guess nda’s are stronger this time, or no one wants to leak shit to her (she’s rude as hell). she posted the following ask 10 days ago. Someone asked her if she knew about any Mike and El scenes and she said no. Keep this in mind for what’s coming next…

Then suddenly yesterday, she alluded to a Jonathan spoiler she’s supposedly pissed about, but refused to post it like she’s done for everything else. People quickly thought it might involve Byler because she said she wasn’t going to post “leaks” about it, even though she had already lol. So they asked her and she said that “yes, it has to do with Byler.”

Then shortly after this someone asked about Mlvn again, this was just today. Again, note how she proceeds to say she knows nothing about Mlvn 😭

Bylers on Twitter noticed her answers about Mlvn and her comment about a supposed byler leak involving Jonathan and started speculating. She ofc noticed this, and not even after an hour of her saying she knows nothing about Mlvn she goes on to say this.

She knows nothing but somehow she knows Mlvn is stable? The bipolar disorder of these answers could rival my own bipolar.

Mind you, we all know that she would’ve jumped up at the first opportunity to post any leak that implied Will was pining and miserable, her and her friends would’ve had a field day over it. And yet, she only clarifies this after…

Not to mention how utterly ridiculous this all is. They’ve filmed stuff up until episode 4 (from what we know), why the hell would Will be pining and hung up over Mike if Mlvn is endgame? That makes absolutely no fucking sense. They would have him immediately fully patch things up with Mike and move on, not be hung up on someone he can’t have in the middle of an apocalypse. Especially not after the Duffers said he’s getting a happy ending. Will getting a happy ending but still being in love with Mike halfway through the last season with Mlvn being endgame is absolute lunacy.

Especially when you consider the fact that narratively, in a sense, Will has already moved on. He doesn’t expect anything from Mike, he doesn’t think Mike can like him back. He saw Mike confess his love in front of El, he helped that confession happen. Will literally has no problem with Mlvn anymore pls 😭 He saved them!!

"caring, compassionate, protective, never back down from what's right (only when he wants to lie to her countless times i guess)" how could he not do the same for her? "Looks like we've got a potential football player in our lives" Pablo said as you smiled nodding watching Helena in Ter Stegen's shoulders

After my trip, I'm a little tired and sunburnt, but it was all worth it! Ngl, imma be needing to write something wholesome after the shit I've been writing so here you go 😂😭

Pairing: Miguel O'Hara x GN!Reader

Warnings: fluff that is all, also I'm still not fluent in Spanish so feel free to correct grammar/spelling

For Miguel, he thinks you're ignoring him. You're blowing him off to go do something else and when he tries to pry you tell him to 'quit being so nosy.' He's already annoyed, so he doesn't pick up on your teasing tone.

In reality, you've been trying to learn Spanish to surprise him. You don't expect to be fluent anytime soon, but some simple phrases and a few terms of endearment are a good start. Those moments when Miguel is talking to you and thinks you're ignoring him, are actually you listening to your Spanish lessons. Whenever you're 'blowing him off,' you're just sitting in your room practicing your pronunciations.

Lyla catches wind of what you're doing before him, overhearing you at HQ when you thought you had found a quiet place to practice. She even offers to help you out and you gladly take her up on the offer. You had had one too many dreams of the Duolingo owl in the corner of your room as it was. Little do you know that your nightmares only now come to life, though that could just be you being dramatic.

Unlike the little, green owl app, these lessons talk back. Sometimes it feels like she critiques you too harshly, especially when you practice writing in Spanish. You wanted to be able to put cute, little notes around his platform. Her shrill voice reminding you when and where to put the accents on letters and that you have to add upside down exclamation and question marks at the beginning of a sentence wakes you up in the middle of the night. However, Lyla is also extremely helpful at the same time. Teaching you the more 'casual' way to say certain things, as opposed to the generic, robotic responses you had been learning. Even some swear words because why not?

The day finally comes when you're ready to reveal your little surprise. Miguel is reluctant, back to you as you try to get his attention.

"Oh, so now you have free time?"

It's a bit endearing that he missed your presence, you say as much. 'Yo también te extrañé, mi amor.' I missed you too, my love.

His head snaps in your direction, confusion written on his face. Slowly, he steps towards you, eyeing you as if expecting you to say something else. Which you do. 'Quería sorprenderte aprendiendo español. ¿Es eso mala?' I wanted to surprise you by learning Spanish. Is it bad?

Everything clicks into place and he's sighing in relief, grasping you by the upper arms to pull you in for a kiss on the forehead. He holds position, letting the kiss sink in before pulling away, running his hands up and down your arms.

"Agradezco el gesto, de verdad. Gracias amor." I really appreciate the gesture. Thanks love.

You ask why he was giving you the cold shoulder moments ago, Miguel sighing heavily before explaining his side of things. How he had assumed you were ignoring him and that he might've gotten a little bit salty about it. You laugh, realizing your mistake. '¡Soy embarazada!' Miguel's smile drops a little after that, looking like he's trying to keep it just for you.

"Yeah, you definitely have some more practicing to do, cariño."

this was originally a Gavi fic how did it turn into a Gavi and Pedri fic😭

Another month went by, and instead of just ignoring one midfielder you were now ignoring two.

Once again you let your emotions get the best of you and ruined another friendship.

The very same friendship that was helping you get over Gavi. Now you were lost. Lost in your thoughts not knowing what to do.

Gavi gave up trying to reach you, after the talk he had with Pedri he stopped trying to call you, coming to your apartment or texting you.

On the otherhand it was now Pedri trying to contact you. He didn't go as far to show up at your apartment, but he did blow up your voicemail.

"¿Qué voy a hacer, Isa?" You sighed in frustration, listening to yet another one of Pedri's voicemails. (What am I going to do Isa?)

"Chica, por uno, necesitas otro número de teléfono" Isabella laughed. (Girl, for one, you need a new phone number.)

"Qué graciosa, pero en serio, ¿qué hago?" You asked sounding defeated. (You're so funny, but seriously what do I do?)

"Bueno, lo único que puedes hacer es hablar con ellos, linda." (Well, the only thing you can do is talk to them, love.) Isabella said placing down the textbook on the table.

"No quiero". Y/n replied, pouting her face at Isabella. (I don't wat to.)

Isabella rolled her eyes, "Bueno, tienes que hacerlo, si no lo haces, ¿cómo vas a seguir adelante con tu vida? ¿O hacer que tu buzón de voz deje de estar lleno?" (Well you have to, if you don't how are you going to continue with your life? Or get your voicemail to stop being full.)

Y/n laughed, "Tienes razón, pero me siento culpable por el beso con Pedri, no sé cómo podría ver a Pablo después de eso". (You're right, but I feel guilty for the kiss with Pedri, I don't know how I can face Pablo after it.)

"¿Culpable porque besaste a su mejor amigo y te arrepentiste o culpable porque disfrutaste del beso y ganaste sentimientos por Pedri en el camino?" Isabella raised her eyebrows. (Guilty because you kissed his bestfriend and regretted it or guilty because you kissed his bestfriend and liked it? And fell for him along the way?)

"No me gusta Pedri." Y/n scoffed. (I don't like Pedri.)

"¿Y por eso lo besaste?" Isabella asked. (And thats why you kissed him?)

"Mira, amo a Pablo, no lo he superado". She sighed. (Look I love Pablo, I haven't gotten over him.)

"No estoy diciendo que no lo que estoy diciendo es que no dejaste que Pedri te besara sin ninguna razón, dejaste que él te besara porque sientes algo por él." She pointed out. (I'm not saying you don't what I'm saying is you didn't just let Pedri kiss you for no reason, you let him kiss you because you feel somewhat for him.)

"Dime que estoy equivocado". (Tell me I'm wrong.)

Y/n chewed the inside of her cheek, staring at her friend. Isabella was right, if she was in love with Gavi she wouldn't have let Pedri kiss her.

She shouldn't have enjoyed it like she did. "Tienes razón". (You're right.) she closed her eyes.

"Simplemente no sé cómo voy a hablar con ellos". (I just don't know how i'm going to talk to them.) She sighed, "Tengo miedo" (I'm scared.)

"Ay mi amor." (Oh my love.) Isabella said, scooting closer to you giving you a hug, leaning into her embrace.

"Va a estar bien". (Its going to be ok.) She said, "La peor parte ha pasado". (The worse part is over.)

"Está bien que te gusten los dos, pero por el bien de tu mentalidad y la de ellos, vas a tener que hablar con ellos y elegir". She finished. (Its ok to like them both, but for your sake and theirs, you're going to have to talk to them, and choose.)

"¿Y si no puedo elegir?" (And if I can't choose?) You sighed dropping your head onto your knees, Isabella pulling you closer.

"Entonces elígete a ti misma". She hugged you tighter. (Then you choose yourself.)

The phone rang, you popped your head up, Isabella stood up, checking the Caller ID.

"Pedri." She whispered.

You took a deep breath, extending your arm out, Isabella handed you the phone. You watched the phone ring infront of you, finally pressing the answer button.

"Y/n?" He asked.

"Si. Hola Pedri." She whispered. (Yes. Hi Pedri.)

"Hola, uh, te he estado llamando durante un mes y ahora que has respondido no sé qué decir". Pedri said shyly. (Hey, uh, i've been trying to call you for a month, and now that you answered i don't know what to say.)

"Tenemos que hablar". You broke your silence. (We have to talk.)

"Sí, lo sé, así que tenemos un día libre mañana, puedo recogerte y podríamos ir a algún lugar". Pedri said. (Yes, I know, so we have an off day tomorrow, I'll pick you up, we can go somewhere.)

"Si, esta bien." You replied. (Yes, thats fine.)

"Nos vemos mañana". He said before hanging up the phone. (We'll see eachother tomorrow.)

You threw your head back in frustration on the couch, Isabella coming back to sit down next to you.

"¿Entonces?" (So?)

"Vamos a hablar mañana" (We're going to talk tomorrow.) You sighed leaning your head on her shoulder.

"Y Gavi?" (And Gavi?)

"Pablo... No sé si siquiera quiere hablar conmigo, no hemos hablado en dos meses". (Pablo...I don't even know if he wants to talk to me, we haven't talked in two months.) She played with her fingers anxiously at the mention of having to see him again.

Would he even want to see her again? He gave up trying to reach her, but who wouldn't after so many voicemails and unanswered messages.

But she owed it to both of them for some closure, she owed it to herself. "Hablaré con él después de hablar con Pedri". (I'll talk to him after I talk with Pedri.)

The next morning came, Pedri had send you a message he was on his way, you stood outside your apartment complex, staring down at your feet, fiddling with your fingers.

Anxiety was an understatement, the longer he took the more your stomach began to hurt. The more it seemed like a bad idea, your palms were starting to sweat maybe if you ran back to your apartment it wouldn't be to late.

But he was here, he was pulling up, the green mini coopper that once made you happy when you saw it, now caused you fear.

Your fingers trembled as you opened the door, not making eye contact as you put your seatbelt on, your leg began to bounce from the anxiety, this was causing you.

"¿Cómo has estado?" (How have you been?) He broke the silence, beginning to pull out the parking lot.

"Bien, ¿y tú?" You mummbled staring at the dashboard. (Good and you?)

"Bien." (Good.)

The rest of the drive was silent, your leg never stopped bouncing, it drove Pedri crazy he just wanted to reach over the seat and place his hand on it to calm you down, but he didn't the ride was awkward enough.

He pulled up into the beach, for the first time you looked at him. "¿Por qué estamos aquí?" (Why are we here?)

"Amas la playa." (You love the beach.) He replied exiting out the car, you followed behind him, taking off your sandals the deeper you got into the sand.

The farther you walked into the beach, you saw a blanket and food sat up. Your heart ached. Did he plan all this for you?

You both sat down, on the blanket, "¿Fue demasiado?" He asked chewing the inside of his cheek. (Was it too much?)

Also Branch actually wanting them to be a family so sweet. It really embodies the naive hope of wanting to stay together that youngest children have, but it's not unattainable. You can still be close with your siblings into adulthood, no matter how much time has passed, and that's what this movie represents as it's core.

The layering when they all sing together is too good. It sounds so gorgeous and if you listen closely you can hear each persons vocals.

Also I just need to talk about the music production and mixing for a second. This movie has three version of Better Place, all of which are unique. The main one is the NSYNC version, which is notable for it's little rap section. The Family Harmony version use's the intro/pre-chorus as the main part of the song. It also lets the song slowly built, and adds instrumentals as the song progresses. The Reunion version doesn't use the intro/pre-chorus, but rather mainly focuses on the chorus. It also uses the bridge from the main song as the post-chorus/refrain. Just a very creative use of the song tbh. Also the instrumental differences between Watch Me Work and Mount Rageous? Like it's the same song, but the way they add more classical elements and more layers to build the tension and the song as a whole?? I have no words. Perfection.

Obsessed with this movie. If you haven't seen it pls go watch it.

It always upsets me a little when people insist that only a gay boy who is projecting could say "it's not my fault you don't like girls". It does actually make perfect sense for a bi guy who is holding on to the part of himself that is "normal" (aka actually does like girls) to say that :( As if bi people can't have complicated feelings and problems. As you said, that makes SO much sense for a bisexual person that's trying to deny that part of himself, he would just be feeling scared to actually confront that desire for a romantic relationship with Will that he feels... Because it's scary exactly as much as it is for someone that is gay. Especially in the 80s... It just makes perfect sense!

And it also makes sense that he could have had a first crush for El and then realizes he's in love with Will and he can't deny that to himself anymore... because the feelings are too strong, it happens like for any other relationship, sometimes you are with someone and then you start having feelings for someone else, like it happened for Nancy... Or even for Joyce, she even was with Bob while having repressed feelings of love for Hopper... It's the same thing, only that Mike has more difficulty accepting that and wants to hold on to El more because he doesn't even know if Will wants him like that...

He can't be sure Will is gay even if the people in town make fun of him for that, that's the standard in Hawkins and Will never told him his sexuality.

Mike doesn't know for sure, he just knows he's afraid of his own feelings for Will because it could potentially ruin their friendship... plus he's also afraid of losing El too at the same time because he thinks she wouldn't want to just be friends with him, it's all a difficult situation and he's confused af on what to do!

like what do you MEAN they named the track that starts playing during the byler fight RIGHT AFTER MIKE SAYS "we're friends! we're friends" IN THE CLOSET??????? IN??? THE???? CLOSET?????? LIKE HOW BLATANT CAN YOU BE😭😭😭

stranger things has always named their leitmotifs/soundtracks very purposefully and something they love to play around with is titles with double meanings... whenever a track is played in more than one scene they always make sure to put in a name that works for all the contexts its used in

THIS TRACK SPECIFICALLY is used in two continuous scenes: mike and will's fight, and el crying alone in the staff room. they make it clear in the show where el is – they even make a point of showing the little board saying "STAFF ROOM" before going in and showing el alongside the brooms and cleaning material. placing those there DOES give the room the same function as a closet, so it justifies calling it a closet even after explicitly showing us its really not one, giving them plausible deniability

and putting into context how the name fits el's scene, there's really no other explanation to how it fits mike and will's scene other than the queer implications. especially when we consider at what moment the track starts playing in the first place:

right after mike claims he and will are just friends in a weirdly defensive tone.... and we know that a character claiming that their relationship with another character is platonic is a common romantic trope that stranger things itself makes use of frequently.... hmm🤨

and then we get to the most damning part of it all imo, the PARENTHESES

when they put "(At Rink O Mania)" in between parentheses, they're very much implying that bringing up rink o mania is simply an afterthought, and that the main, important part of the title is "In the closet". the part in parentheses is 100% connected to el's scene and used as a small explanation for why it fits her scene, by putting context behind the closet phrase to associate it with the location el is in. but when we consider the main title by itself, the phrase "in the closet" is directly associated with the queer phrase to refer to LGBT people who aren't open about their identity.

when they separate that part of the phrase from the specification of rink o mania, the queer implications are undeniable, especially when its such a popularly known phrase. the decision to name it this was completely conscious, and if they wanted to avoid those implications, they could have gone with a name more fitting, and not using the word "closet" altogether since it wouldnt really fit either scene...... yet they stuck to it😭

"In the closet (At Rink O Mania)" is a name just vague enough that if questioned, they could get away with explaining the name by alluring to el (even though shes not really in a closet) but its also specific enough that its obvious what they were actually referring to..... its a smart way of hiding their true intentions while simultaneously tipping us off. duffer brothers i am onto u
