Old Habits Die Hard (or: Durge slaps Gortash on the ass during his inauguration ceremony)
based on this post of mine, 2nd pov
"We can be good for each other," Gortash says as he passes by you, almost close enough for your hands to brush each other. You were nearest and dearest, intimately so, you're sure of this. His behavior is an indication enough, but recognition claws at your mind as well. As much as the memories refuse to come, the feeling is there. As is the habit, apparently.
Your hand moves before you can even think about it, let alone stop it, and finds its mark on Gortash's ass with impeccable precision, the resulting slap echoing in the hall, loud and clear for every pair of noble ears to pick it up and for the rumor mill to start working at full power.
You can't see Gortash's face from where you stand but his posture is ramrod, clearly surprised. It's no wonder that he doesn't react immediately. Who would expect a slap on the ass during their inauguration ceremony? An assassination - yes, that's more likely. But this?
The Steel Watchers take the action as assault, of course. And it's only Gale's quick spell casting of a Globe of Invulnerability that saves you from dying due to an ill-timed ass-slap. A humiliating end for sure.
Gortash finally processes what has occurred and orders the Steel Watch to stand down, before turning towards you, eyes filled with both fury and desire, and oh that look is delicious on him.

I just rewatched Full Moon and seeing that last scene Blitzø and Stolas ripped my heart out AGAIN and these are my thoughts after watching it a couple times, please don't throw rocks at me
First, I think this is a pretty realistic progression of miscommunication and I've seen a lot of people be on either of their sides, but I don't think there's even a side to be on. Both of them went into this with their own thoughts and pre-formed ideas of what the other wants and how they'd react, and that colored their responses and clouded their ability to process what the other was saying.
Stolas opened the whole thing with "Blitzø, I need my book back permanently" which was absolutely the wrong tone to set here. It reinforced Blitzø's belief that Stolas was getting tired of him, and as far as Blitzø (who is NOT known for his ability to accurately and objectively read people or situations) is concerned, Stolas has just confirmed that he doesn't want him. Stolas immediately clarifies and pours out his feelings, but honestly, that's a lot for Blitzø to hear immediately after feeling like his literal worst fear has been confirmed, that his business—the ONE thing he's worked so fucking hard to build from scratch—is in jeopardy. So along with wondering whether Stolas even wants him anymore, he's now contending with the panic of losing two things, so he likely barely heard and couldn't comprehend Stolas's feelings.
In ordinary circumstances, less high stakes ones for Blitzø, I think Stolas actually did a pretty decent job of communicating himself and his feelings. But I get why Blitzø didn't take it seriously—he's been in an arrangement with Stolas for so long, thinks Stolas is getting bored, so of course he'd think, "Ah, yes, a new role play, a chance for me to do better and keep him from getting bored." Stolas is understandably upset by this, but man, he really did not give Blitzø a fucking second to process at all.
And this is why I think Blitzø's reaction is understandable (not necessarily reasonable or healthy or even appropriate, but I GET IT). Of course he feels like he's being thrown away. Stolas still has power because he's rich and he's royalty and Blitzø is used to being used and discarded and not good enough. Of course he's angry—he doesn't even feel like he's being given a choice because Stolas has already scripted this in his mind, went in prepared, and imagined how it will go. He mistakes Blitzø's misunderstanding and shock for rejection—also understandably because that's what Stolas is used to, and he doesn't seem to have any friends or support, which we've seen is a pattern since childhood.
What we're seeing is two lifetimes of trauma surfacing in the face of genuine connection and love, and neither Blitzø nor Stolas knows how to deal with that. Neither of them has ever seen what it's like to receive that before. Blitzø was in the circus with a dad who sold him to a prince for "a wadded up $5 and a slim fit condom" and was always placed in the shadow of his best friend, who then hated him for 15 years because he thought Blitzø purposely blew him up. Stolas was essentially raised by a butler with a dad who had zero emotional literacy and was then forced into an arranged marriage with someone who treated him like absolute shit.
They've both lived a life where love and relationships are transactional, and they don't know how to function when someone loves them for who they are. Of course they're going to struggle to communicate, and I don't blame either of them for their reactions, but I really, really want to see them have a calmer conversation where they can process this and understand each other and accept love.

There's an ask in my inbox from months ago that was sent to me by a Christian who was in a downward spiral because they enjoyed my book but also saw homosexuality as a sin. I decided not to answer because I couldn't decide what approach to take (I try to be really patient and kind to everyone, but I also don't want to invite homophobia here and expose my followers to it). And I think it's probably better for this person to just sit with their feelings.
Either way, I hope they're doing okay (and that they pick up the next book).

Sigh part two cuz I did it again (tw again obviously)
my last post (the vent turning into yuri where I vent through cartoon character) was unfinished so I'm making another. Right now we left off on zooble trying to get Gangle to confess what was up with her. Ok guys :3
Gangle shifted uncomfortably in their arms. She really didn't want to talk, but zooble kept pushing.
Zooble: "Gangle?"
Gangle: "... Yeah?.."
Zooble: "You know you can tell me anything, right? We're literally dating and I want you to feel comfortable telling me anything."
Gangle: "Some things go better unspoken of..."
Zooble: "Not with me. I'm right here for when you're ready to talk... Are you ready yet?"
Gangle:."You won't judge me or get angry?"
Zooble: "I promise I wont."
Gangle sighed. This was a hard conversation to have with anyone. Especially when (worst case scenario) it could end in the two breaking up. It was just a thought though. But it still bothered Gangle that that may be a possibility.
Gangle: "I.. Ugh... I have this.. Thing..."
Zooble: "Go on.."
Gangle: "I- ugh!- I force myself to throw up! Ok?!"
Gangles body language changed. She was grabbing zoobles wrist tightly now. It was mostly to keep her grounded and comfortable. Zoobles face looked.. Concerned to say the least. They gently took her hand off of their wrist, having a lot to say.
Zooble: "Gangle. That's unhealthy. You can't do that anymore. That's really bad. That's an eating disorder. You need to stop. I- Why would you-? Why would you do that? That's honestly the stupidest thing you've ever done! You- Gangle I'm really ma- upset. I'm upset at you. Why did you do that?"
Gangle: "I.. I just..- I wanted to like.. I don't know.. I feel guilty when I eat.. Its hard to explain..!"
Zooble: "... You know.. you're beautiful. You really are. Don't do this to yourself."
Beautiful was a strong word. It could be used to describe many things. Scenery, a painting, a person, but Gangle felt the word didn't fit her. She isn't the type of person you would imagine when you imagine 'beautiful'. She was ribbons and a mask.
Gangle: "No I'm not zooble. Dont lie to me just to make me feel better."
Gangle had a serious tone. Her voice was different when she was serious.
Zooble: "Gangle."
They grabbed her 'waist' and pulled her against them. She was surprised.
Zooble: "You're beautiful."
Gangle: "But i-!"
Zooble: "You're beautiful."
Gangle: "Zooble i-!"
Zooble: "You're beautiful. You can't change my mind."
Gangle: "... Frick you..."
Zooble would have been smiling if they didn't lack a mouth. Gangle relaxed into their arms. Her favorite place. Zooble leaned down and whispered into where her ear would be.
Zooble: "You're beautiful.."
Gangle wasn't good with compliments, especially how to respond to them, but she really did appreciate it.
Ok guys I'm done cuz I'm tired so enjpy this stuff ig uh I might be getting that seasonal depression again :3 it comes when school starts :(

Just a heads up Mephistopheles has red skin. But I’m so happy to see more content with him!
Hi anon!
Okay so two things, firstly you might want to check out the Forbiddem Realms wiki:
And specifically the source which is canonical to 1E:
Mephistopheles has multiple different forms! :D The blue form exists in different spaces and across different campaigns and you can Google right now and find canonical fanart of blue-skin Mephistopheles! Some of those illustrations are hot as fuck, so live your best life :D If you're happy to see content of him, hopefully that includes the blue form as well.
And since Mephistopheles was never actually in Baldur's Gate 3 I get to choose what forms they are because secondly, I highly recommend you read tags and author's notes thoroughly for Palmarosa for the additional reason that:
Is in the tags! And in the Author's Note of the first chapter:
I knew the DND purists would kind of get up in arms about all kinds of things (and...I was right), so I think this is now like the tenth time I've had to remind people to actually read my tags and author's notes! I don't kind of want to remind folks in every chapter that I will do something I like more if I don't like the canon, or what the point of fanfiction is in the first place. But I'm not trying to write more canon anon, I'm writing fanfiction, and the transformative part is the point.
It doesn't matter if his blue skin was in the Wiki or not, I can do what I like in this story, that is, after all, the spirit of DND and creating new campaigns within an existing structure, and that's precisely why Mephistopheles has so many forms in the first place! Heck, I could've made him green :D
There's a lot of things that aren't canon compliant in this story, from Astarion being able to taste food properly, to Mephistopheles being based on 1E instead of later version/s (I mean he's not Molikroth here either), to the House of Hope having many many more rooms than present in the map, and a great deal more besides.
I know that one version of Mephistopheles has red skin, I just like the one with blue more!
