I have ALSO been considering the duality of TT Ren and TTSBC Ren. actors... I think out of all the TT and TTSBC counterparts they would probably get along the most. (and by get along, I mean they probably wouldn't kill each other. Probably.) the Martyns also probably wouldn't kill each other, but I think TTSBC Martyn would get mad he can't do magic, lmao

Oh yeah, the definitely-not-TT TV show! Zed is watching it, Scott loved the books and so now he's making Jimmy read them, and they're also watching the show together. The Zedango bet is probably still in full swing, but we shall see about that...

Martyn would be so pissed that he can't do magic. He'd also probably be mad that TT!Martyn got to be a damsel in distress for Ren to save, though to be fair the associated trauma is not something he'd be interested in 😭

I am... Mental Health Awareness Month

I've spent a while trying to decide what I wanted to share this mental health awareness month. I've shared self-care tips before. I've shared positive affirmations. I've shared my story. I've shared resources. I talked about fandom bullying and anon hate, as well as respecting fandom space and not being someone's friend. I could have done all of those things again, but I wanted something different. So I had the thought of just reframing thoughts on mental health and even our own view of our struggles. 

Mental health struggles are often shadowed by stigma and shame. Even though the conversation has shifted over the past several years, there is still so much more that needs to be changed and addressed.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I know that even when I post about my struggles with anxiety, depression, OCD, and suicidal ideations, I still personally feel shame. I still feel there is something "wrong" with me. I still wish it could be different. That thinking is keeping me from getting past my struggles. I don't think I'm alone here.

It's time to reclaim our narratives and celebrate our victories because that's what we're doing every day. I might still struggle every single day but I'm here! I am resilient strong and victorious in my struggle. And if you're reading this, and have struggled yourself, you are all those things too! You are here and that is such a wonderful thing and it's something to celebrate!

Every journey through mental health challenges is unique, but within each story lies moments of courage, resilience, and triumph. By reframing our experiences as success stories, we not only acknowledge the strength it takes to navigate these challenges but also inspire hope in others. Let's shift the conversation from one of struggle to one of empowerment, where we highlight the milestones achieved, the lessons learned, and the growth we have made. 

So here is my challenge for you this mental health awareness month, take a moment to claim your victory. If you feel comfortable, join me in sharing your mental health successes (no matter how big or small). Healing is possible. We are not defined by our struggles. We are resilient and courageous!

Me grinding my teeth together tryna decide between mirrorball and this is me trying was TRULY the funniest image so I bestow that upon you now! In my heart of hearts it has to be mirrorball even though I think this is me trying has more memory attached to it now for me?? i think my biggest piece of advice is to be kind to yourself and be so very self indulgent <3 writing can be hard sometimes and writers block can feel even worse but writing what you love and brain rot about can be so freeing and fun and bring out so much inspritation/passion!

this is something im really working on myself but trying to write consistently, to keep that writers voice active in your head even if its ideas you'll never share or don't think are good or are just silly or short. the more you write, the more you can practice and play around and really find your writing style 😊

i can't stress this one enough though - it is absoletuly okay and necessary to take breaks whenever you need them <3

write at your own pace and use plenty of references when you need them! there are so many cool tool online for writers that can help you out with things like helping you identify words when you can't quite remember the exact one you're looking for, websites for combating writers blocks, etc

i also think that talking with friends and moots and your followers can be really inspriational and amazing too💗 i can't tell you how many of my fics have come to life thanks to ideas that were submitted to me or because my friends and i were talked about a little idea or the way the characters would react it x happened or shared an art and said like 'okay but what if-'🥰💖

Thank youuuu I appreciate the thought about not feeling pressured or stressed, I promise I'm not! I know everyone is just excited for their favorite/most compelling storyline to continue! And like I've said elsewhere, I plan to stick to my mantra...when I try to write something I'm not in the mood to write, I burn out and don't feel like writing at all. That's what happened to me the last time I stopped writing, and I didn't post at all for nearly a year. I HATED THAT. So TTSBC and TT is the perfect situation for me! Lots of ships, lots of characters, lots of dynamics, and between the two I can write BASICALLY anything I feel like at any point in time! So yeah! I'll write what I feel like writing in the moment, because that's always when I come up with my best stuff!
