blah……..so a while ago I had a blood test result that implied I have an autoimmune condition, but it’s not 100% certainty, and also there was no solid answer on what that condition might be. my blood had a speckled/homogenous ANA, which could indicate something like lupus, but my only symptoms are that on bad days I feel tired/yucky/run a low fever/have hurty joints. which is all so generic.

anyway, my doctor doesn’t seem particularly motivated to pin it down further, so I’m just left with the vague notion of “some days I feel bad because I might have a thing,” and that’s that.

I just wish I had a more specific idea of what the thing was, even if all it resulted in was me being able to say “today I feel bad because of The Thing.”

This is the finished version of my original prompt, inspired by the official fallout ghoul transformation progression poster. What did Cooper look like after the bombs fell, after he lost his daughter? After he began to forsake every value he ever treasured. After he made his first kill in the wasteland? Did he ever wake gasping from nightmares where he lost his daughter all over again? Cooper didn’t lose his morality overnight. It hurt.

Reimagined Trinity

a WIP that I’ve technically been working on for over a year but never finished and so I’m just posting now bc why not. Design thoughts below:

BATMAN

lighter on the bottom darker on the top like how fish blend in with the sea floor/sky differently depending on whether you’re above or below them

shorts mimic urban landscape

simple bat symbol. Kinda constellation like

big stomping boots bc he deserves it and also needs good grip

SUPERMAN

yellow/orange inside of cape mimic sun :) (this is a design feature that I think should be used wayyy more often)

break up the full blue with soft alien designs. Not armoured plating

ridges on his sleeves so people can hold on easier

sleek boots bc his only job is to fly and look pretty

princely looking collar

El crest is his golden age design but with different colours

WONDER WOMAN

this is just a design I’ve drawn a lot

clay pottery bodice that can glow

protective underlayer

bandages for aesthetic & purpose. Supposed to evoke Greek sandals

barefoot bc obviously

clay-textured skin because the way that Alex Ross draws her breaking apart in Justice is imprinted on my mind

sword hilt is the Wonder Woman symbol!

hair is free enough to have motion and stuff but constrained enough (especially on sword side) that it won’t get as caught in things or get in the way

“now, shinsuke,” she pats his hand that now holds the ring, “you’ve got a good one, so you take care of her, okay?”

he nods, always so polite, so reserved. “yes ma’am.”

but granny yumie sees the pink that adorns kita’s cheeks and the tips of his ears when he talks about you, even when your name is merely mentioned in passing. she notices the sparkle in his eyes when he looks at you—a gaze so reverent—like you hung the moon and all the stars in the sky. she knows how he secretly loves returning home from a long, tiring day to be greeted with a homemade dinner and a soft “shin!♡” from you. she’s cooked dinner with you enough times (and raised him long enough) to realize just how predictable kita was. and she’s absolutely elated to see how easily you fit into his way of life.

so that pretty ring sitting in his hand is her blessing. because she wants kita to marry you. she’s no idiot; she can see when two people are so deeply in love, even someone as emotionally private as kita. she just knows you’re perfect for each other, and she knows he’ll take good care of you.
