The day of Suzume's first blind date had finally arrived and the person she met was Naoki Ito! During their walk to the restaurant, Suzume tried to engage in his conversations and asked questions about him. Naoki was happy to be given this much attention and felt attached to Suzume already. "He's a bit clingy..." Suzume said in her head then she heard a girl giggle behind them "Otosan?" His kids were there.
She had no idea what was happening to Naoki's marriage, but his kids seemed cheerful about both their parents and she got the impression he was happily married. In the nicest way possible she said it was best to end the date and stay friends (really she wanted to get out of there). And that was how the blind date was over before it even started 🫣

#smth art#halftone#furry#queer artist#i made this for a Spotify playlist. very proud of how it turned out#long story short i developed a crush on a coworker very shortly after meeting him bc hes very cool and funny and cute#and we got along very well instantly. however nothing ever came of it bc hes the most emotionally unavailable person ive met in my life#so i just kinda Suffered™ for like 2½ years cycling through the stages of grief until acceptance finally stuck#now we're just chill. but i Did make a carefully curated playlist about it all and regardless of current feelings im very proud of it#its super specific and personal but also relatable and has a story arc to it (meeting->falling->pining->resentment->depression->acceptance)#anyway. i was thinking like hmmm i havent been doing digital art in a while and need to get back to that. whats a good lil warmup#to get me back in the vibe of it? and the idea popped into my head to do a cover for the gay and stupid playlist.#maybe ill link the playlist later! who knows! its very good after all#though theres a few specific songs on there that are Personal to the guy i made it about#like i dont think 'shelter' by porter robinson is especially relevant to an unrequited love playlist but. its there for My reasons.#theres also a nice flat no halftone or grunge texture version of this that ill throw in if i link the playlist later cuz why not#but im very happy with how this version turned out!!!#i did less layers this time and it was way easier#usually when i do like. a bunch of ink colors layered. i do 1 color per layer#but if im using more than 4 or 5 colors that gets SO unwieldy and annoying#this time i used 2-3 colors per layer and just made sure they wouldnt need to stack#it worked out rly well i think! and was WAY easier to work with after the colors were down

the way the ericson group were at the outbreak just a bunch of troubled kids who made various mistakes or committed crimes and were judged by a system that punished and abandoned them instead of giving them the support and love they needed, are then nearly a decade later put into a situation where now they must judge a troubled child for the mistakes and crimes hes committed against them. and 5 to 3 vote them out 😭
#twdg#i love the way s4 connects back to lees whole 'murderer' thing back in s1 😭 guilt...atonement.....systems of punishment#i love thinking about s1>s4 themes and crying#anyway this is partially why i hate when i see the ericson cast reduced down to 'just some teens' its so much more than that#them being abandoned in a boarding school for troubled kids is SO IMPORTANT its not 'just some school'#anyway its also probably why theyre my favorite cast#theyre literally one of if not the most mature group of the series even while being a bunch of kids who make choices i dont agree with#because they actually love and care about each other. even when theyre mad. because theyre all they have left#i do think the vote was a fair way to handle it even tho i still ultimately find it cruel. they couldve talked it out#but this is still a story that needs conflict to resolve so is what it is#they would rather they leave than have to face their confused feelings. the most immature thing they do. but understandable#they did such a good job crafting that cast for clem GOD an entire ensemble built around her and aj....delicious#zombie/post apoc media about love and community my beloved 😭#sorry but get tf out of here with that 'humans are evil and everyone dies' lame ass bullshit we are nothing without community#the amount of love pouring out of s4 is like getting my ass kicked but then they give me a big hug and kiss after and send me on my way#s4 my absolute beloved i really love it more and more every time. so much to appreciate even with it the way it is#the themes bro the themes........ the connections between seasons 1 and 4 you are everything to me#it speaks

#cough cough if you are looking for somewhere to start new vegas or 4 are my top choices - 1 & 2 & tactics are very different from 3 NV and 4#if you are super into story FNV probably has the best writing in the series#gameplay is FO4 specialty it's story just lacks a bit though it's still a top tiered game (to me at least)#FNV also for rping aspects - as fo4 and fo3 give you backstory and a pre-made character#(though FNV technically does too through a lonesome road DLC but that's beside the point 😭)#1 2 and tactics are the ogs before Bethesda bought the game rights so they are very different in terms of look and gameplay#(it's also because they are old but still good but I wouldn't start there tbh - as they are very brutal in difficulty#but if you want a classic game feel they are your best bet for that)#modding wise FO4 has the biggest modding scene and if on console it is the only one you can mod (without a bunch of hassle and bs)#though if you are just looking to watch it I'm not too knowledgeable since we watch mainly challenge runs#(ItsJabo - Joov - MAGOOdog - and Mitten Squad are some banger challenge runners of FO4 and FNV mainly (though Jabo does do FO3))#I have so much to say on the topic but tldr is yes join the cult I mean fun :3#its a blast - if you like open world post apocalyptic where you can blow people's heads up with makeshift weaponry- you'll have fun :3#I can go super in depth on each of the games like mechanics (like the Karma system or companions for example) with which game imo did it th#best if you want lol - many months of hyperfixation has got me here 😭 sorry for huge info dump just love these games a lot-#the summoning circle

#im watching a video about wario land music -> 'the bizarre music and sound design of wario land 4' by geno7#good video so far! i like this guys stuff. he talked a bit about how they did some of the sound effects for warios voice#a very like. chopped and remixed sample style of doing his vocal lines. which is very cool 1) because it saves a bit of#precious space on that gba cartridge BUT ALSO 2) it just sounds cool and interesting stylistically#and man sometimes trying to keep a file size down really does give way for some really interesting stuff#on my own personal interests in games i ADORE rpg makers rtp and how people can find creative uses for it#i love that a bunch of games can draw from the same asset pool as one install on ur computer#no bloating your hardrive with a bunch of copies of the same assets - its just already here!#and from a developers perspective i love when they reuse old assets from other games in new weird ways#some small visual novel companies will reuse backgrounds and other assets#altho i dont mind a bit of bloat with VNs since a big draw can be the big pretty images and big pretty sounds#but its still cool when people find ways to get creative with space saving. and from a players perspective its also nice#space is cheap nowadays. but its not Free. we can swallow terabytes whole with micro sds and everything#but a lot of players dont get the chance or ability to upgrade their internal memory that often. so i think being considerate of filesize i#very important. and thats not even getting into the download bandwidth limits - a lot of people all across north america can only get like#internet from 1 provider and that 1 provider often likes to upcharge and limit shit because they can#we might live in a future where a lot of powerful technology exists. but access to that tech is another story#so remember the filesize. remember the filesize.#dies in your arms

that one scene in atbb where russ is being a tall asshole to karma on purpose but instead of squatting down to his level he pulls this shit
#karma isn't THAT short. but god that would be a good bit#in the rewrite i might have to put that scene in karma's pov tbh. just so you can feel how much he's holding himself back#because y'all best believe the amount of restraint it took him to not kill russ immediately when he did that was fucking astronomical#i've already talked about how being underestimated & patronized bc of his size is one of his THINGS. so combine that with a LV spike#he did not see russ as his little brother in that moment he wanted him dead on the ground in the dirt fully unrecognizable#i was thinking of maybe having the swapfell fic switch between fluff & karma's pov for different scenes/chapters anyway#i think it would establish a lil better that karma is an Important Character for the overall story instead of just another side character#especially since pretty much every other sans that will ever show up IS a side character lol#idk if i'll switch according to a pattern like 1 fluff chapter -> 1 karma chapter etc or if i'd just go on vibes. does anyone care abt that#the few times i've attempted a pattern i lost interest in keeping it up immediately but that was w/ the lightbulb fic so. its been a minute#sometimes certain scenes are better from certain povs and the pattern fucks with that I CANT HELP IT#THATS WHY THE LAST 2 CHAPTERS OF SELF HATRED SWITCH TO RUSS POV IF THEY WERE STILL EDGE IT WOULD MESS IT UPPPP#well i mean i guess the final chapter could MAYBE work from edge's pov & show how confusing russ is to him a lil better#but i also think seeing how russ is actually thinking is better just for the audience's understanding of him. yaknow. idk#plus it Would be more jarring to have 4 chapters of edge 1 chapter of russ and then immediately back to edge again#i think it'd make russ's part feel more like a weird interruption or something rather than a natural switch to hide edge's intentions#oh my fucking god i just looked back at the actual post i got so off topic YOU GET THE IDEA GOODBYE#KARMA#RUSS#LOOKING AT THAT GROWN ASS MAN LIKE A BUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#like i love arkveld but like. 1. its just a stronger version of the arkveld you fight in low rank. ive already done this guy.#2. theres almost no real build up that the high rank finals normally have. you just find him and go oh i guess we fighting arkveld now#3. its not even an elder dragon :(#4. it took me a day to realize i was in postgame. it just never occurred to me that i had beaten the final boss#also as my sister pointed out: there are technically no elder dragons in wilds. gore is a demi elder and zoh is labelled as ‘construct’#mh wilds spoilers#idkkkkk it just felt super anticlimactic#it felt like they knew veteran hunters wouldnt like a really story based game so they tried to balance it by putting all the story#in low rank and putting nothing in high rank#xeno jiiva clears arkveld as high rank final boss so much its not even funny#same with narwa. narwa was so so so cinematic and beautiful and cool#monhun#ultimately. it didnt have the style or originality or theatricality that high rank finals normally have#it didnt even have its own special arena you just fight it in the starter area :/

#ace attorney#ramble in the tags#that is literally all ace attorney is. its just a legal drama in the format of an anime/visual novel lol#as with most procedurals it amounts to “its interesting because normal people don't usually see this and the characters are fun to watch”#(procedurals include medical dramas btw)#but like. under most circumstances most people would find anything talking about court procedure boring#ace attorney is interesting because 1. theres a lot of artistic license taken. 2. the characters are fun. 3. murder mystery#4. narumitsu#this goes for medical dramas too. granted i dont question my interest in medical dramas much since i have a special interest in medicine#but medical dramas usually have what should be medical practice that goes completely ignored for the sake of the story being interesting#(ace attorney does a similar thing. watch any attorney react to the updated autopsy report in turnabout sisters lmfao)#anyway. i find it fascinating that legal dramas like ace attorney and law & order are found as interesting as they are#real law stuff is usually heccin boring to most people#(also med residents don't usually have time to be fucking behind the scenes. if residents are fucking each other they have too much time /j#(you do not have the level of relationship drama going on at real hospitals that you do in medical dramas. nobody has time for that lmao)

#so far in my sporadic picking away at various manga series i feel i have the weirdest reader relationships with JJBA and Attack on Titan#when reading JJBA i am not really that invested in the characters or even whats happening to them and yet i still never decide to dnf it#and i dont even know what it is that keeps me reading except that its just very unique i suppose?#such an odd combo of different things that somehow manages to eventually have its own sorta cohesive logic and charm#also the art is just fun. its ornate and goofy and macho and flamboyant and gross#but as soon as i put it down i stop thinking about it too#and dont feel like picking it up again for at least several more days#with attack on titan i found the art style mostly really bad at first ngl#it reminded me of awkward drawings a high schooler would make like the inconsistentness#of like there are good action poses here but the people also look weird ugly bland and stiff and the backgrounds are often so empty#idk i was feeling pretty blah about it but something about how starkly straight-forward the story is was interesting to me#where its literally exactly what you heard its just#theres a bunch of humanoid giants attacking our city#and we have to stop them. that's it#and also the awkwardness of the art style i find works extremely well when it comes to the titans#like they are genuinely creepy to me. and they do actually feel massive the way theyre drawn. and the mystery around them interests me too#anyways im like 60% through part 1 of jojo(also read most of part 4 a few years ago) and only on vol 3 of AoT#but yeah those are the 2 series i have the most mixed feelings about so far#wouldnt say i love or hate either of them but still also continue to want to find out more#13readsmanga#p
