but that's the thing; i just?? i feel so incredibly guilty whenever i think about being loved by these mxtx couples??? like it's so stupid but i feel like i'm intruding in on something and it's like, everyone else seems to just want them together only, not wanna be with them. like it's fuckin taboo or whatever

i feel like with any other character from any other media it'd be fine to simp for and write/read x readers of them, but when it comes to these books, it's off limits! no way, what are you, crazy? yes, yes i'm unhinged and desperately want their love and affection simultaneously. i want to be in a happy little poly relationship with these overpowered beautiful men with long hair.

I'm assuming people have probably talked abt this already but if they have, I haven't seen it (i'm relatively new here), so I'm bringing it up myself lol.

(It's important to note here that in the end credits starting from s2e2, Rupert Young has always been referred to as playing Sir Leon, so it is the same character.)

Remember s2e13 The Last Dragonlord, when Arthur asks his knights who among them are willing to ride out with him to fight this big-ass dragon, and Leon is the first to volunteer? And they then show Leon, with Arthur and the others, as they ride out to fight Kilgharrah in that weird-ass square field?

...And then Kilgharrah one-shots literally everyone except for Arthur & Merlin???? And when the two return, they're just like, "yeah all the other knights died valiantly defending the kingdom, very sad" ???????

Personally, I believe this only leaves us with two (2) options:

The writers just straight up Forgot (or maybe ignored) that Leon was one of the knights that died, and just kept writing him in bc he was a well-liked character,

Or,

2. They're therefore implying that, canonically, when Arthur&Merlin got back to Camelot and said that all the knights were dead, they were just straight-up wrong. Which means that Leon had to just... find his own way home, I guess, after having been freshly charbroiled by a fucking dragon.

Merthur: None of the other knights made it, even Leon :(

The wiki says that "many believed he'd been killed" when he "was injured by the great dragon," but that "this was ultimately disproven by his return in Series 3"...

...which I believe falls squarely into #2 listed above lmao. He wasn't dead, just injured. They just fucking left him there.

TL;DR: yes, he's immortal, but it's not even from the cup. he's just Built Different

He moved quickly from his spot and walked as Soundwave did between spaces and shot point blank as he stepped into the middle of the opening. He didn’t stop moving in case the mech had another loaded pistol at his side. His coverings made it difficult to tell. CHOOM! He was now behind the building next to the previous one. “Argh!” It was low but an obvious admission in pain, that he had shot right where he wanted. The sound of shifting dirt was clear in his audials. “Now,” He spoke loudly, the air carrying his voice across the city. “You have two options.” ::I’m up top.:: Shadow Striker commed him as the smoke of his barrel filled his senses. The quiet of a standstill was strong. ::He grazed my side but, I nicked him in the leg, I can cover you.:: Good. By the time he walked up the alleyway he was closing in toward the other incapacitated mech, his cannon would be charged enough again. His helm turned ever so slightly before he made his move to see Soundwave making his way, kneeling low with his pistol out and ready near him. He was not alone. “Surrender,” His frame swerved from the building he stood against, fusion cannon held high as it blared brightly with energy. He took his steps slowly and calculatively giving this stranger time to rethink his options. Crack! The glass of a window near him shattered as the sharp stranger took a shot near him. A warning more than anything as he stubbornly stood back up. He smirked at the thought of taking this talented mech in his ranks. Megatron kept steadily moving forward, not quite taking his shot yet as he waited for the other mech to make his move. He noted the other was taking steps back near a door from the middle of the street, away from the downed insecticon. The gray mech was out of the alley, entering the same street as the new mech, he only took a very quick glance at the broken fountain and scurrying civilians. “Or get shot down by my hand.” More clicks and whirs of guns and cannons alike welcomed him to the street as his army was no longer caught off guard. “I don’t think so…” A rough voice finally spoke up to him, his pistol was pointed squarely at him and they both knew this was only going to end with one of them walking off this street. “Not until I find who I’m looking for.” Megatron raised his optic at that. It was then the stranger’s poncho was lifted by the harsh winds of Cybertron wafting up dust to show he had reached for the door he had been nearing. It didn’t budge under his servo, which rules out any temporary escape he wanted or banked on for this gunfight. But what surprised them both the most was Clobber was inside, you could see her through the window of the door. “It’s locked.” Was all the two heard before her blaster shot right through the glass and metal of the door knocking the mech to his side and making him roll away from the debris. “Damn it!” He heard a growl and curse from the now downed mech, the warlord relaxed his posture a bit as he approached the mech. BANG! BANG! Which was partly a mistake. He had to full body lean back as two clean shots grazed past his face. A deafening ping rang out in the streets as the stranger's pistol was shot out of his servo. The look of shock on his face was priceless. Shadow Striker had taken her shot. “Now, I’d like to hear your answer since,” Megatron was now above the mech, a fusion cannon touching the tip of his dusty hat. “I asked so nicely.” - The premise follows Cyberverse Megatron dealing with the consequences of his actions after stealing another universe's Matrix with the threat of being killed while communicating with the soul of that universe's Prime. Will he make it to his desired future or will he be nothing but a figure in a photo encompassing a long-lost dream?

I wanted to reply to the comment in question directly, but I feel like it'd be best if I clarified myself just one more time, thoroughly.

The very first, lengthy post (responding to an anon) I made about untargeted sexual attraction, I believe got blocked by Tumblr from showing up in the tags (even my own), so I just wanted to repeat what I said before, just to clear things up!

Why did I decide to talk it about in the first place?

I just personally am not really fond of the current definition of sexual attraction (which is that it has to be targeted at a specific person), because it implies that allosexuals are always attracted to someone, which isn't true for all (I would say this is only a small minority of allosexuals).

So, I wanted to talk about how I experience sexual attraction in a more general, non-specific way; from which my idea of untargeted sexual attraction was born.

When I say untargeted sexual attraction, I don't mean libido/sex drive. I mean exactly the following three things;

The general, directionless attraction to people belonging to a certain gender.

So when I say I'm sexually attracted to women, that doesn't mean I'm attracted to anyone right now per se.

The general, directionless attraction to people of a certain archetype, or possessive of certain (likeable) characteristics/traits.

These two types of non-specific attraction describe patterns.

Having the innate desire to meet and connect with someone who you would like to be sexually intimate with.

The last type of non-specific (untargeted) attraction doesn't pertain to a specific person in mind, but describes more an end goal in mind.

Does this work with romantic attraction as well?

I couldn't wrap my head around it first, but after hearing someone explain their experience, yes, yes it does.

What about romance/sex averse/favorable aros/aces (or even cupios)?

To that I'd say this; it's all up to them personally. It's all up to the individual; attraction whether it may be romantic, sexual, platonic, [insert any other type here] is as subjective as it can get, so only you can decide that for yourself.

Ngl that has been the main reason why I don't make og posts here that aren't pics or fics. For all its flaws, twitter does allow to talk to ppl in a simpler, easier way. You can snowball a shitpost into a legit fun moment with your friends, here idk why it seems more complicated bc you do end up with said monster post no one but the ppl participating on it will care about. Idk

Hello there! A while ago you recommended 'Silently and Very Fast' and 'The Wounded Sky' to me, I finally finished both titles and absolutely adored them. Bizarre, wonderful, and so well written. I'm so thankful you pointed them my way, and I was wondering if you had any more book recommendations. Thank you for reading my friend.

If you enjoyed Silently And Very Fast then I definitely recommend checking out the rest of Valente's works, especially but not limited to The Orphan's Tales series (In The Night Garden & In The Cities Of Coin And Spice). They're fantasy but definitely in the vein of beautiful and bizarre. There's just so much to explore in those books I've read them like three times in six months, hahaha. (And if you like those maybe check out the Kencyrath Chronicles by P. C. Hodgell)

Unfortunately tho, I've never really found anything that really hit the same spot that Wounded Sky did for me, maybe because it was very much a book I never knew I needed. The only one that came close was The Entropy Effect by Vonda N. McIntyre (if you do read and enjoy that then definitely read her Star Wars novel Crystal Star, very good very bizarre, as well as her original work Dreamsnake). Sci-fi tends to have a dearth of the bizarre which is unfortunate and kind of silly imo because everything about space and science is really weird.

In addition, I'd flat-out recommend the Elder Scrolls game series if you enjoy bizarre fantasy, the lore is... something else.

Also I'd say go read Fortuna Primigenia by @ss-shitstorm because the entire premise it's built off of is absolutely fascinating. There's also making sweet electrically charged love to massive metal titans so there's also that.
