this isn’t a big thing, but i’ve noticed in a few fics that people seem to write steve as having very little paranoia about the lab. and it’s just… steve is one of the few characters that we see very obviously showing signs of paranoia on screen.

after nancy has her panic attack in the library (in s2), she barely mentions the events of the previous year and steve huddles her into a separate room, closing the blinds when he still doesn’t feel safe enough as if people are waiting around trying to read their lips. he literally says that the lab could “do anything they want” if nancy tries to tell barb’s parents what happened.

(this is a sidenote, but like, this is the reason why steve doesn’t entertain the idea of revealing the truth about barb’s death. he doesn’t not care, he’s scared of being taken out by the government)

anyway. i guess half the fun of steve’s character for me, especially in fics around s2, is getting to explore the paranoia that he experiences, and i think it kinda diminishes his character when people take it away and give it to other characters.

Hi Day! I didn’t really know where to ask this, sorry in advance if this is the wrong place or something completely out of your wheelhouse. I know you have your ‘RanbooStartingSoon’ YT channel where you upload starting soons and on occasion vods that are missing from the official vods channel (like the missing LA vod, tysm for that btw !!) so you seemed like the best person that I could ask about this; 

Yesterday I was looking for a couple vods of Lethal Company from November, because I missed seeing them at the time and had never gotten around to seeing them- I wasn’t in a rush because I thought “well they’ll be on the vods channel!” but looking through I realized they’re totally missing from there, along with quite a few other vods from November- they’re still on twitch right now, but won’t be much longer.

The missing vods as far as I can tell are: the Thief Simulator 2 vod (which I think will be gone off of twitch tomorrow, Jan 19th if I’m not mistaken) the LC vods “THIS COMPANY SURE ISN’T NON LETHAL!”, “the lethalist of companies, the best of people”, and “2 years of having EYES (LETHAL COMPANY WITH HUGE LOBBY LATER!)”, along with the VR Kayaking vod, the “planning the project fundraiser subathon” vod, and the “absolutely massive announcements” vod. The vods from after the subathon are also missing, but I’m assuming (hoping) that those will be uploaded to the official vods channel soon, although the oldest of them is already 23 days old so I don’t know. 

There's other vods from before these missing, like the RGBtrio PayDay stream and Streamer's Court, but those aren't on twitch anymore so I'm assuming those are just lost sadly.

Basically, I was wondering if you’d consider uploading the missing vods at all? I imagine you probably never planned to upload that many vods, so I completely understand if it’s too much of a hassle and you can’t/don’t want to. And again, my apologies if this just isn’t in your wheelhouse, so sorry if I was a bother.

hi there!! yeah I’m very painfully aware of how far backed up the vods channel is, it causes me stress daily LMAO. there’s already vods that have fallen off twitch that haven’t been uploaded, but I’ve been assured by the twitch vods manager they’ve been saved so i have to trust.

i try not to upload anything that is definitely going to be uploaded to the vods channel, because i don’t like taking away from the traffic to official channels, and i also am working with the tiniest hard drive known to man and just. don’t have the space to download full streams most of the time :(

i do have plans to upload both of the alt streams just because I’m paranoid but believe me, I’m just as stressed and i hope that when ranboo gets back from their break the channel picks up again because we are over 2 months behind now and i Don’t Like That as the resident media preservation freak

!Disclaimer! These are GENERALIZATIONS about the relationships in mbti. If your type was mentioned and you don’t resonate with what I say, that’s totally fine! There is so much more to humans and relationships that mbti can’t possibly cover. This is all just for fun!

INFP-INTJ

They'll admire your strong values and authenticity. A yandere INTJ may fall for an INFP darling cuz they bring out a more emotional side to them. I think an INTJ would be more appreciative of this than an ENTJ since INTJs like to get in touch with their feelings from time to time (its called Fi in mbti). They’ll think of you as sweet, innocent, and someone they HAVE to protect. It’s a cruel world out there, they can’t let INFP darling be tainted! They can come across as cold, so an INFP darling will constantly doubt if the INTJ really loves them or is just psychotic. They’ll think your crying is kinda cute tbh.

INFP-INFJ

An INFJ yandere will be very in tune with INFP darling’s feelings. I do genuinely think that INFP darling would fall in love with a yandere INFJ cuz the INFP finally feels understood and accepted. Little does INFP darling know, this went all according to the INFJ’s plan... Both are idealists and romanticists, so it’ll honestly be a rose-tinted relationship. Their relationship won’t even feel yandere at all. The yandere only comes out when INFP darling realizes how overbearing the INFJ can be and wants INFP all to themselves. Yandere INFJs are manipulators after all, so expect some "reeducation” on how INFP should think/behave about their relationship. 

INFP-ENTP

OH BOI, INFP DARLING WILL NEVER STOP CRYING WITH AN ENTP YANDERE. An ENTP yandere would be goofy, constantly teasing the INFP, and riling them up just because it’s fun to see them angry. ENTPs (in general) have Fi blindspot, meaning, they often have extremely morally gray areas. They don’t really care/know what’s right or wrong and have no idea how they feel half the time, and that often rubs INFPs the wrong way. So imagine a YANDERE ENTP. Anything can happen with them because they’re so chaotic and frankly, they dgaf about what INFP darling thinks/feels. They’ll do whatever they want with INFP darling. Yandere ENTPs will come off as clingy and that’ll frustrate INFP darling as they seek independence.

INFP-INTP

Very similar to ENTP, just not as chaotic. Yandere INTP will be obsessive. They’ll research everything about you and about relationships to try and navigate through this thing called “love”. They won’t be clingy, but may hurt INFP darling’s feelings a lot (accidentally, unlike yandere ENTP) with their extremely logical framework and dismiss INFP’s feelings. On the flip side, they can be overbearing. Overextending themselves to try and win you over cuz they’re living in fear that you’ll leave them. 

INFP-ENTJ

In MBTI theory, ENTJs are considered your most compatible. I think yandere ENTJ would think of INFP darling as child-like. Cute, innocent, but too idealistic. In a way, they’ll want to break you. ENTJs love self-improvement, whether it be in themselves or others. It’s their way of showing they care. So once they obtain INFP darling, they’re gonna want to “help” you become more realistic and logical but through some cruel and sadistic methods. For example, they may degrade you and say some horrible things to you like “you’re stupid, illogical, too emotional, crybaby, slut, etc.” Partly cuz they do want to help darling grow but also because they enjoy holding that power over them. The power to break or build up darling.

God I love Kakashi bc he's been in my life for... like 2/3 of my life now? The first characters I ever remember being attracted to were Kakashi, Inuyasha, and Zuko lol. I was like 6/7 years old for all of them. Kakashi absolutely gave birth to my sensei/mentor figure kink lmao. I'll probably write a profile for him eventually but have some HCs in the meantime!!

- It would depend a bit on reader-chan tbh. Like, if he's in a position of authority over you, he's gonna kinda feel guilty and struggle with that a lot. Me inserting my teacher kink ngl but I feel like he would kiiiinda have a guilty pleasure for it, gets off a bit to the power he has over you. (Obvs adult reader-chan, but an authority nonetheless).

- Definitely a guilty yandere. He's just lucid enough to feel like what he's doing is wrong, to know there's something wrong with him, and it eats at him at first, but it's just too good. You're just too good, he wants you too bad, and he ultimately consciously chooses the selfish desire over the voice in his head telling him he's doing something wrong. Again, he'd feel guilty, it would really bother him, and it would tear him apart if he ever kills for you or feels like he's forcing you, but it's just not enough to stop him.

- He would be protective as all hell. He's not a super delusional type but I can see him vastly overestimating the threats to y/n. Ooooh and it gets so much worse is y/n is ever in actual danger. Remember how protective he was of team 7 back in the OG series whenever they were in real danger? He's just - he would be like a guard dog tbh. If you get annoyed or creeped out by it, he will stop... visibly. He'll just be more secretive about it, and trust me, if he doesn't want you to detect his presence, he'll do a damn good job of making sure you have no idea he's there. He's patient and has a lot of restraint, and would hold back for a long time, content with stalking, fantasizing, and keeping you isolated from other people. It would probably take some kind of significant event, something where you were almost badly hurt or even killed, or someone threatening you, or perhaps some guy persistently chasing after you, for him to finally snap, delusion-style, and become convinced that you need him to take you away, that he needs you to be safe, you need HIM to keep you safe.

- It's not that he wants to be overbearing, it's just... he's lost so much. He's on the paranoid side of delusion, he just doesn't want anything to hurt you, he can't take that anymore. The man has lost so many things in his life and has suffered psychologically because of it. He generally would keep people kinda distant to begin with, so if you earn a place in his affection he's going to be insanely protective. Rejection wise, interestingly, he just kinda... ignores it. In one ear, out the other. He's one who can convince himself that you'll come around, even if it takes a lot of self-convincing, as he's not super delusional enough to automatically believe it. He'll likely just correct you, tell you no, he's just a guardian figure for you, nothing more.... for now.

- He can summon a pretty intimidating presence when he tries to, and he clearly has a ferocity deep down when he needs it. Enough to drive off people - and that's how he'd utilize it, he'd be one of the ones that very quietly and subtly, slowly scares off any perceived competition. He's not blatantly aggressive - no, he'd be very subtle as he goes about getting rid of people that he sees as being in his way. You won't know it's him, he won't be aggressive towards anyone in front of you -- when you're there, he smiles and nods and treats your friends very well. Hell, they probably won't even know who's behind it, they'll receive subtle warning signs, likely written things, with clear threats to back off. He's smarter than to directly confront them, and have them know who he is. He can eliminate them without needing to do it personally. He's not entirely above killing, but it would be a last resort.

- What's really difficult about him is that, even in a snapped, delusional state, he maintains his demeanor, the bored-sounding, laid back, low energy, and very competent, serious guy he usually comes across as. That's what ultimately will break your own mind -- usually, delusional yanderes are fairly obvious. It's clear they're out of their mind, their facial expressions and nearly hysterical mannerisms make it clear they're crazy and give you at least the reassurance that you're in the right and that they've lost it, that you need to be saved from them, not the world. With Kakashi... you feel like you're the crazy one. After all, he maintains that same demeanor he always has, he doesn't look, sound, or seem crazy or delusional in any way. He just sounds exasperated when you panic, like you're being ridiculous, as if you're a whiny brat and he's just... tolerating your tantrum. He says everything so calmly, in such a matter-of-fact manner, you can't help but feel like... maybe he's right. Maybe everyone was really out to get you. Maybe you really were too naive to see it. Maybe he really is just looking out for you, and maybe you really are being horribly ungrateful. Maybe you're crazy and he's perfectly sane, and once you start to believe that, he'll feed that idea until you're too afraid to leave even if he let you.

- Sex wise, I feel like he'd actually be very sweet and loving about it all, definitely a passionate kind of lover. As time goes on and he gets more comfortable, though, he gets into anything that gives a sense of control and possession. People who are into bondage on the giving end often like having a sense of control, of stability, and it puts them at ease, and he's no different. He likes the feeling of knowing you can't move, even if you try, of having complete and total dominance over you. Would definitely get into shibari -- not only does it contribute to the control factor, but he likes the aesthetic beauty of it all, seeing the bright red rope in contrast against your skin.

- Possession ties into marking kink -- bites, hickeys, scratches, he just wants to see evidence of him on you. It's reassuring, even. Edging as well, he likes feeling like he controls not only your environment, but your very body itself. He can get rough if he's in a certain mood, particularly stressed out from his responsibilities, and would probably very much be a brat-tamer as well, so don't piss him off... I can’t choose just one so I’ll do top three in no particular order

Fernsong x Ivypool: this ship is the one thing standing between Warriors and complete misogyny (/hj). All their canon interactions are 10/10 Fernsong sees the best in Ivypool and rlly admires her and its clear that Ivypool rlly loves being around him even if she’s too prickly to admit it. But I also headcanon Fernsong as autistic, he prefers doing jobs in camp like helping the medicine cats and queens rather than hunting or fighting cause he finds it confusing and/or over stimulating while Ivypool I headcanon as having PTSD so she likes to patrol and hunt but can’t a lot of the time because she gets distressed and paranoid, so Fernsong accompanies her while she does her duties and does grounding exercises with her if needed, so they’re a rlly good team!! I also think Fernsong’s relationship with Lionblaze has a lot of potential regarding his relationship since I can’t imagine Ivypool likes Lionblaze very much given that he was totally on board with keeping her in an abusive situation as a child for the greater good even though he could’ve done it himself because he is literally invisible and defeating the dark forest is the reason why he had super powers in the first place. (Sorry Lionblaze lowkey pisses me off)

Feathertail x Sasha: read A Shadow in Riverclan and look me in the eyes and tell me they were not girlfriends. I love the trope of two individually troubled people finding eachother and loving eachother despite their pain so much and I think they could’ve worked things out if Feathertail didn’t die, she forgave Leapordstar she def would’ve forgave Sasha, also I understand why she was mad at her, even though it wasn’t justified I think it makes sense given Feathertail’s mental state. I also rlly like how you can actually see how their relationship developes, it’s not instant and you can understand WHY they like each other so much. I wish Feathertail hadn’t died, I wouldve traded Brambleclaw POV for Feathertail POV in a HEARTBEAT. I think Sasha might have stayed if Feathertail was still in Riverclan when she returned, after understanding her trauma more I def think Feathertail would have forgave and apologizing to Sasha. Seeing Sasha and Feathertail’s interact with Hawkfrost would have also been very interesting and could have fleshed him out more.

Grasspelt x Briarlight: I got another AU coming up that has to do with them, so I wont give to much away but I love the idea that indivually Grasspelt and Briarlight are both very smart and admirable cats but then when they get within 5 feet of eachother they both become goofy mushy idiots. I know Grasspelt is like a very minor side character so I’ve just given him a personality myself but just let me have this ok I am tired. They’d also make great parents!! I headcanon Grasspelt as autistic and I like to think he infodumps about how incredible Briarlight is- he is completely and unapoligetically in love with her and she thinks he’s a wonderful cat he lights up her life.

Daisy x Spiderleg: why did they feel the need to do Daisy like this?? What was the point??? I get that those types of relationships happen I’ll but I don’t see why you’d include it in the book if it wasn’t going to have any type of meaning beyond Leafpool being mad at Spiderleg. They could have still had that happen and then had Daisy get a mate that treats her right, I just feel bad at her.

Bumblestripe x Dovewing: Bumblestripe is such a pick me and their relationship reminds me a lot of a past friendship of mine that did not end well. Dovewing deserves better Bumblestripe is manipulative as hell and I feel like he takes advantage of Dovewing’s kind nature. I am so glad she left his pathetic ass, I rlly hope he doesn’t get a mate in the future and I am convinced Rosepeta’s crush on him was comp-het or something cause she must have some taste. I understand why Ivypool was for Bumblestripe and Dovewing’s relationship, she was still totally in the wrong and doesn’t deserve to be completely excused but it makes sense given her character, she’s been denied any agency for a rlly long time, Hawkfrost was her best friend and he treated her just as shitty as Bumblestripe treated Dovewing- so she’s less likely to see the red flags as they’ve been normalized to her. Everyone else though?? I have no idea why they told Dovewing to get with Bumblestripe he literally sucks so much. I think it should have just been Ivypool who said that cause it makes me dislike everyone else lmao.

Blossomfall x Ivypool: Blossomfall is mean to her as an apprentice and compares her to Dovepaw which fuels Ivypaw and Dovepaw’s unhealthy relationship, and then the only reason why they become friends is that Blossomfall gets sympathy from Ivypool and that strikes me as p toxic and unhealthy, obv if someone were to make an AU or headcanon where their relationship plays out differently than that’d be totally fine but in canon I just can’t see them doing anything but dragging eachother down- also Blossomfall is mean to Dovewing and Ivypool and Dovewing’s relationship is already strained as hell that would be very counterproductive.

Re-watching Lizzie Mcguire: Episode 2.10 (Working Girl)

Lizzie unintentionally breaking the fourth wall

- Have we already established the fact that Lizzie (not Hilary) is a really bad actress? She tries to butter her parents up by giving them compliments to get them to kindly raise her allowance. But of course, they are able to see right through her and give her a big fat NO. Lizzie is fuming!

Poor Miranda!

- The natural thing for Lizzie to do after this is to then vent to her friends at the Digital Bean. Miranda spots a ‘busboy wanted’ sign in the distance and tries to tell Lizzie that she could get a job to pay for her things. Lizzie is too busy in her rant to even notice what she’s trying to tell her but for some strange reason, when Gordo points it out to her instead, she suddenly pays attention and hears him out. Weird.

- Anyways, Lizzie easily gets the job and her first day is tomorrow. She thinks it’s going to be a piece of cake. Don’t jinx it Lizzie...

- The next morning, Lizzie announces her new job to her parents and they are taken aback because they didn’t expect her to get one all of a sudden. They are also worried that she’s taking on too many responsibilities and there might be too much on her plate. I think it’s safe to say they’re probably right. 

Lizzie Starts Her Job

- We skip to Lizzie on her first day working at the Digital Bean and she quickly realizes there’s a lot to do as the new busboy. And it doesn’t help that her manager seems to be a total nightmare to work for. She’s so bossy! I would hate having a manager like her. 

- And it doesn’t get better from then on because Lizzie is starting to get paranoid about her friends making even the smallest mess in the café because she has to be the one to clean up after them. But you know what, who could blame her? Especially when you have these two around:

- And unsurprisingly, Lizzie’s manager demands that she cleans up the spill when it’s so obvious that Kate and Claire were the ones who purposely caused it. Lizzie is now starting to feel regrets about taking this job.

- The next day (which I’m assuming is a Saturday?), Sam notices Lizzie looking distraught about having to go to work and tells her she can always quit if she wants to. He also lets Lizzie know that she’s just a kid and the only responsibilities she should have is being a good student, a good friend and a good daughter. Now that’s really solid advice from Sam...and Jo (because she probably told him to convince Lizzie to quit)

Lizzie Quits After....3 Days?

Lizzie’s better than me. I would’ve thrown that spoon right at his face lol

- During her shift that day, she’s dealing with a bunch of difficult customers, which, again, includes Kate and Claire. On top of that, her supervisor (whatever her name is) is just soooo not being understanding or thoughtful towards Lizzie.  

Also, if I were Lizzie, I would’ve popped Claire in her forehead and quit my job afterwards. Lizzie could’ve gotten really hurt thanks to her. 

That guy totally deserved that

- Lizzie has had enough and decides to give everyone who did her wrong a piece of her mind. I’m glad she manage to get that all out of her system but because of her rant, Lizzie gets fired from her role as busboy at the Digital Bean. But you know what? Good on her!

- After getting the pink slip, Lizzie comes home and tells her friends what just happened. She actually seems relieved that she doesn’t have to deal with the stress from her job anymore. Even just watching her work makes me feel stressed out. 

B-Plot: Miranda Doesn’t Like Breaking Young Boy’s Hearts

- Matt is currently feeling down in the dumps because he thinks that Melina doesn’t want to be friends with him anymore. Well, more like doesn’t like him anymore. He expresses this to his friend, Reggie, whom I don’t think we’ve been introduced to beforehand. 

- It’s not so much that Melina doesn’t talk to him anymore. It’s more so that she hasn’t been getting Matt into any trouble recently. I mean, we all know that this weird relationship of theirs has pretty toxic tendencies. But she’s actually now focusing her attention on this other boy named Jared.

- Reggie suggests to Matt that he ask his sister, Lizzie for some advice as to why Melina has been treating him differently these days. Matt hesitates at first but he realizes that he really has no other choice. 

This made me laugh so much. Matt literally insinuated that Jo isn’t a girl. I mean, she is a woman but I’m sure his mom more than qualifies.  

- Matt then shows up at Lizzie’s job to tell her about his problem. But their conversation is cut short by Lizzie’s manager. She’s beginning to really annoy me. 

It also doesn’t help that Lizzie can be quite clumsy sometimes...

- While Lizzie is busy being a total mess at work, Matt is lucky enough to be able to ask Miranda for advice instead since she is, indeed a girl. Miranda basically tells him that it’s Melina’s problem and how she isn’t able to realize how great of a kid Matt is. She also had to add that there are others girls who would be so lucky to go out with him. See how this is going?

Look at Matt’s face; He totally just misunderstood Miranda’s intention in everything she just told him lol

And now he’s gone full-blown stalker mode. Yikes!

- The next day, Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo come home from school to chill at Lizzie’s place but Matt uses this opportunity to give Miranda a ‘thank-you’ card:

Oh my word. Miranda better run for the hills hahahaha. Also, does the music have to be THAT dramatic when she opens his card? LOL

- It’s one thing to have crushes but Matt takes it to a whole other level. I get that he’s like 11/12 but still...

He’s also now calling her and sending her a bunch of balloons with his and her face on them. 

- On their three way call, Miranda is asking Gordo for his advice on how to gently turn Matt down. To my surprise, Miranda still doesn’t want to hurt Matt’s feelings and actually agrees to go on a bike-riding date with him. To be honest, if I were Miranda, it would also be hard for me to turn him down. I’m not exactly sure why. It must be the people pleaser in me...

By the way, is it weird that I love Miranda’s outfit here? Very Avril Lavigne circa 2002.

- The next day, with Gordo’s support, Miranda tries to work up enough courage to reject Matt but before she could let it out, Melina marches into the living room  and confronts Miranda for ‘stealing her man’. Yikes, Miranda just got dissed by an 11 year old lmao. 

Melina just proved to all of us that she likes Matt back. That’s sweet...in a twisted kind of way.

- Oh and just like how Gordo pointed out, it’s quite embarrassing that Miranda just got dumped by Matt of all people. Again, poor Miranda...

- There’s also one last surprise for Miranda. Apparently Matt had a cake made for her that Lizzie has taken out of the fridge. And because of that, she has no other choice but to act like a pig and eat the frosting of the cake with her bare hands just to prevent Lizzie from seeing what’s written on the cake. I would have done the same thing lol.

Overall Thoughts

- I found this episode to be one the funniest Lizzie Mcguire episodes so far. I felt like almost every scene either made me slightly chuckle or laugh out loud. From Lizzie’s short stint at the Digital Bean as a busboy to Matt’s sudden crush on Miranda, I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish.

- Honestly speaking, had Matt been able to dial down the craziness in terms of ‘pursuing’ someone just like he did with Miranda, he actually knows how to be a pretty romantic kid. No wonder Melina likes controlling being around him. And seeing her confronting Miranda like that and basically telling her that she’s just a rebound was hilarious to watch. 

- Lizzie’s new job as the busboy was fascinating to watch because it’s the first time we see her working a job and taking on responsibilities outside the house and school. Even though she got fired, I can’t imagine anyone being able to put up with that bossy manager. Like if the busboy turnover rate is consistently high, surely that has something to do with the work environment and the people running the internet café, right? Or can they at least hire more busboys to spread out the workload? Solutions people!

You turned away from the angelic view of the sea to those green eyes that seemed to pierce your soul. Your smile faded, your eyes rolled back. 

“Can’t you let me enjoy my dreams for once?” you rubbed your arms and hugged them, due to the strong wind that blew away your white dress and your hair. 

The two of you walked forwards, one to another. He kept his hands in his pockets and swung his feet along the tall grass. “You think you’re dreaming this?”

“I’m asleep, aren’t I?”

“Do you even know where you are?” he wiggled his eyebrows at you, showing off his smirk. 

“Somewhere.” you turned around at the view, seeing the sun rise higher up in the sky as the waterfall far away from you caught your attention. Your eyes drifted to the gigantic rocky hill then back to the green of his eyes. 

“Faroe Islands.” he spoke amusingly. “Danemark.” he walked past you and to the edge of the cliff. “My mother took me here when I was around...” he turned back to you over his shoulder and saw you looking at him with wide eyes. “Twelve.” he finished, turning his gaze upon the sea. “It’s my safe place.” 

Your brows furrowed, your feet willingly walking to his side. “Then why did you brought ME here?” 

“Because I want you to trust me.” 

“I would never.”

“But you do.” he turned to you with his whole body facing you, his energy soft and safe, his hold on your shoulder was tender, gentle even as his eyes kept reading into yours. “You do know we are Legilimen. I can feel you. I cannot only see your mind- I can see your emotions, your fears, your vulnerability.”

“And so do I.” you put your hands on his cheeks and ran your hands through his thick, curly hair. “I can feel your heartbeat racing whenever you are with me. You’re in love with me.”

And thought you could feel his fear rushing in, he did not let it take over for long. Courage replaced his whole-self and you could feel the safety of him wash you over like that waterfall far from both of you. “I might fancy you- yes but love? That’s a bit extreme, don’t you think (y/n)?” he now mirrored your hands and cupped your cheeks as well and the two of you felt closer than you had ever felt with anybody in your entire life... even with Sirius. “I can feel your heart racing as well. I can feel you like nobody else- I understand you.” he leaned his head on the side of yours and kept whispering in your ear. “Don’t you understand?”

“No. I don’t. You’re cruel and vile. I would never be with you.” 

“And you’re a Potter- pureblood egoist with a hero complex who took in a blood-traitor. I would never be with you either but oh, darling I know you feel it.” he whispered so wonderfully in your ear that your hands gripped his shoulders and your knees started to give in. “And how many lifetimes you get to feel this?” he said, pulling his lips away from your ear and to your forehead- giving it a tender, loving kiss that burnt your skin, lit your soul on fire. ‘

You woke up, bolting up in your bed and staring at nothing but the darkness. You were alone but his energy was still lingering on you like warmth, fading into cold breeze. You touched your forehead where his lips left a mark. Your fingertips gently brushed against it and your lips, despite the resilience, turned upwards. 

And your thoughts would wander to the feeling of his hair, to the colour of his eyes... to the softness of his lips and then you would wonder why him? From all people, Mulciber had to be the one to make you feel this way. 

And you contemplated about your connection with him until the morning light- until the sunlight kissed your windows and the rays of light flashed your eyes. Your feet swung themselves on the floor, carried you to the kitchen and with your thoughts far away from reality, your hands simply kept making you food. It was odd in a way, how used you were to the real world, doing daily things such as making breakfast. You haven’t even noticed you finished it until you were sitting behind the table and finding yourself being watched by other family members. 

It seemed you were still stuck in 5D world, present elsewhere but your physical body was here, behind the table. 

You felt a flick on the side of your forehead and it shook you- the whole vision crumbling down like rocks as you were finally awake- finally in this world- material world. 

“What the fuck?” James couldn’t help himself meanwhile your father shot him a glare.

“Watch your language, James!” 

“Okay. What the duck?” 

Act normal. “What?” you dug into your scrambled eggs and started to eat. “Oh my God, dad!”  you tried to distract everybody from yourself. “Mrs. Holloway asked about those documents of the newest potion your brewing. She said that the dates do not match the timeline and she thinks you might have time travelled- which was totally odd because she’s is some barmy old lady that I still do not know why works at the Ministry when she could easily retire-”

“Time travel?” your father scoffed, laughing. “Sure, I would love but I don’t have any objects or experiences to do it- plus time travelling is dangerous.”

“Like I said- barmy.”

“She isn’t that barmy, (y/n).” he tried to be nice but you could see him agreeing with you through his words. 

“Who the hell is Mrs. Holloway?” your mother asked, glaring at your father. 

“I thought I explained this.” you smiled at your mother’s jealous, taking another bite at the eggs. “A barmy old lady who works at the Ministry.”

“I still want to know what the-”

“Oh, what’s the time?” you cut James off, seeing the fury rise up in the redness of his cheeks and the tension between his brows. “I have to get ready. I’m going out with Nina.”

“Stop ignoring me!” James raised his voice but his father shot him another glare. 

“James. Tone down.”

“Didn’t you see her like 5 minutes ago?!”

“Beautiful, aren’t I?” you teased, making him roll his eyes and other stiffen their laughter. 

“Don’t be- OI! Get back here!” he started stomping after you as you quickly ran to your room and turned on the radio. He barged in with a furious look on his face. “I will not be ignored.”

“Ignored? James Potter?” you started to goad him a bit, feeling your anger bubble as well, due to him sticking his nose into everything.

“I’m going out with Nina. Last week before school starts.” you shrugged.

i think season three is good, but there are a few things about it that absolutely enrage me to an overdramatic amount, and here i shall list them lol. also this will be in more than one ask because i have too many thoughts. ok, the first is how hopper went from trying his best to threatening children, having that "girls can't choose who they date they aren't smart" mindset, gaslighting Joyce/not believing her when she has basically always been correct, and tricking her into a date?? 1/? lol

next, i hate how they went "here, take billy's sad childhood and him saving el and forgive his racist actions! go! FETCH!" and we were supposed to be like "yayyy! what a nice guy!!!" you know? like... a sad childhood isn't redemption? it may vaguely explain things, but not excuse them? i also was disappointed with el and max's friendship being based off them being mean to their (admittedly mediocre) boyfriends? like- yall are in 8th grade dating sucks why are we being mean just communicate? 2/?

and it felt like max and el's friendship was supposed to come of as this "wow FEMINISM!" thing, and it really wasn't at all? i mean i could totally see kids perceiving this "girls rule boys drool" thing as empowering, but i just wish that if they are going to go the whole (adorable) "sleepovers, wonder woman, shopping, normal, not-supernaturalish (if that makes sense)" female friendship, they didn't base it on... well... men?

so i’m gonna be honest man the only thing i agree with you on is that the way they handled billy was bullshit. i wholeheartedly disagree with all the rest but i’m very glad you got it all off your chest kjdcnmnd like. i’m gonna share my thoughts on some of this and i REALLY don’t mean to be rude i just like talking about stranger things so please don’t take this as me trying to argue or whatever bc that is not my intention!!

so i don’t think hopper having a problem with el and mike has anything to do with him thinking el isn’t smart or that she can’t make her own decisions. el’s a kid, and she’s only been allowed to be a kid for like... two years, max? he’s worried that she’s growing up too fast, mourning the inevitable end of her childhood which has just barely begun, and yeah, he’s overprotective, too, but he’s pretty clearly painted as being in the wrong for how he handled things. he changed his ways by the end of the season, and through the speech he wrote it’s clear that his issues stemmed from his own fears of her growing up, not from him thinking she was stupid. change isn’t typically sudden or easy, and i really do think that hopper was trying his best at the start of s3 (he lets el hang out with her friends as much as she wants, trusts her to roam freely and keep herself safe, etc). he just still had a little way to go.

i also don’t personally see how hopper “tricked” joyce into a date when she agreed to go and then didn’t show up. joyce is an adult, and she was perfectly capable of telling hopper no (she actually did tell him no once, and then didn’t object later). he was never threatening or manipulative to her. he was a total bitch after he got stood up, and they did overdo it, but he most certainly wasn’t gaslighting her. he genuinely didn’t think that there was something going on! he thought she was paranoid due to her trauma, trauma that he personally has been through and is sympathetic to. he still helped her check things out, even when he didn’t think there was a real problem, because he wanted to give her peace of mind. while you can argue he was dumb or disrespectful not to believe her, he didn’t have any intention of making joyce feel crazy or of deceiving her.

and the reason that the kids aren’t communicating well in s3 is because they’re... well, kids. have you ever seen an eighth-grade relationship where both parties communicate maturely about their problems? if they were older i would agree that the conflict was dumb, but it makes perfect sense for kids their age. i also don’t really have an issue (personally) with how the elmax friendship started. the whole point is that el came to max asking for dating advice, and max shows el that she doesn’t have to revolve her whole life around her boyfriend, she can develop her own identity and be her own person.

a lot of people in the fandom share your trepidation about adding new characters, so i’m definitely outnumbered here, but i don’t personally have a problem with it at all. i think alexei could have been better-utilized, but his existence didn’t interfere or detract from anything with existing characters. in fact, i think he gave murray some more development and allowed for more dynamic interactions between joyce and hopper. max and robin were both “new characters,” and i’m not being hyperbolic when i say they’re two of the best-written and best-acted characters in the show. when i go back and watch s1 now, things just feel wrong without max, and robin is a revelation. i think that adding new characters makes the world of stranger things feel more organic and allows for the stakes to remain somewhat high without making the writers feel like they have to kill off one of our beloved OGs.

To be clear: I think this is a feature DoA should have yesterday. It’s completely inappropriate to force people to use deadnames and names which are related to traumatic life experiences, or be banned.

I am exceptionally weary of all the DoA hate over the person who got banned over making a new account after not being allowed to change their user name. DoA isn’t the only doll forum out there. Everything is on FaceBook and Instagram now, DOA is pretty much just a glorified Dolly Dictionary at this point. I mean about the whole rules is rules is rules thing about doa: the thing is, some rules are there for a reason and obviously do need to be respected whether you agree with them or not, like don’t block fire exits, murder is bad, etc. but some rules eventually become outdated and need to be changed to keep up with society, and that doesn’t make the people pointing out that they need to be changed evil or entitled or spoiled. Imagine if we all still had to drive 10 mph everywhere because when someone pointed out that car technology had improved since 1915 and the speed limit should be increased accordingly everyone had just shouted them down with “BUT TEH RUUULLLEESS!!!” You’d be pretty interested in getting some of this “special treatment” yourself so you could get to work on time, huh?

I notice that the unrelenting attacks on DoA are now even using the same phraseology along with the name-calling and implications of sinister motives. These are textbook bullying tactics. Next is the boycott, except that most of these people already say they don’t use the forum because they are just too “21st Century” for it.

Luckily this is just a confession board and no matter how many folks you manage to rile up here, it’s not going to affect DoA. Now, this is why I love DoA–you can’t go on their own site and spew this nonsense. They have Rules. They are Strict. They attempt to avoid drama, especially off-topic drama, and they don’t allow meanness, vulgarity or obscenity. If you’re looking for a pleasant, safe space, it’s your best bet.

I just realized that no one understands the people saying DOA can allow name changes are the people who have actually modded forums before, most forums unless they’re running a totally outdated system use user id numbers that are linked to display names, which can be changed, and you can write a simple string of simple-baby-code to show old display names on a profile, to explain it in simple terms.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?   —   I was inspired to start writing Mitsuru because I had been writing Margaret over in the P4 community for a while and I reblogged this meme asking people who else they thought I could portray. I think at least three people said Mitsuru so I was like sure, let’s give it a try. And now here she is, my wife, and I couldn’t be happier.

4. do you think its ok to separate the artist from the art? No? Like I guess if you want to, that’s fine, I’m not gonna hate you for it, but for me personally I’m gonna try to avoid it as much as possible. If a bad person creates a masterpiece, I’m still not gonna support them.

11. what unusual talent do you have? Uhh mild body contortion? Like I can’t touch my toes for the life of me but I can twist my body really weirdly and bend all my fingertips backwards by a lot. I love freaking people out by doing that.

12. what’s the most interesting schools gossip you’ve ever heard? I have audio-based problems meaning I have trouble understanding someone when they speak and also remembering what they said, so I can eavesdrop on the juiciest gossip and forget the next day. However, I do remember this one thing about some kid named Evan being a vampire, which I distinctly remember because Jake talked about it, but I don’t remember how it came up.

15. what’s a question do you constantly get asked? One would think it would be “omg are you left handed?” Or something similar, but I don’t think anyone’s ever asked me about it. One question I do get a lot is from my boyfriend, “why are you so cute?” It makes me shy and I have to hide my face.

21. what’s a conspiracy you believe in? That there are Warrior cats living somewhere in the world (from the warrior series). Which I guess isn’t a conspiracy, but I believe in it!

23. if you could break one of your bad habits which would you choose? The inability to take care of myself. I mean, if someone wasn’t there to remind me every day, I would never remember to take my medicine, or brush my teeth before bed, or even get dressed half the days. I wouldn’t call it lazy, it’s more of a “I’m too tired to take care of myself”. That’s mental illness for you babey!!

31. you can change one thing in your life right now. what are you changing? OH. I would totally delete every disease in the world. This whole quarantine thing is making me sick physically, emotionally, and mentally, because I am not allowed outside at all and the lack of fresh air, meeting people, and vitamin D is stressing me out and well I feel bad almost all the time now. Here’s my rant:

The basis of it all is just that I would probably sleep forever if I could.

I guess that isn’t all quite a rant, so I’ll start of on a mild note. What the fuck is happening to my dreams? I’ve been having these weird ass dreams about people taking care of me and genuinely wanting to become a parental figure to me. They all wear masks, two of which look exactly like SCP-035 and SCP-049, but there’s this one dude, I don’t know him, but he wears this mask with holes in it. Apparently his name is Jason? This isn’t the first time I’ve had a dream about someone who I didn’t know existed, I’ve also had dreams about Monika from DDLC before I knew who she was, and even about how she died. It was creepy as fuck, and I sure hope my dreams don’t come true because I’ve had dreams of the future more than once.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into the heavy stuff, starting with my parents.I know I’m not the only person to have shitty parents, but that doesn’t stop them from being shitty. And before I get into anything, please please, please don’t report them to anyone. It’s probably weird to hear considering all they’ve done, but the guilt will probably kill me literally, and I still kinda love them, I mean they’re my parents and they took care of me. I don’t want anything to happen to them, and I don’t want to have to hurt myself because I did something to them, even if it was indirectly.

It used to be physical abuse, but it’s evolved into verbal as I grew up. Whenever I used to get in trouble, I would get so fucking terrified of what was going to happen to me. My dad, who was mostly absent from my life, (hence my constant wishing for a fictional character to be my dad, and probably a HUGE factor for what’s happening to my dreams lately) was also the most heavy handed with the hitting. He would spank me so hard that I would be crying and my butt would be red for hours. And it was so SO obvious that he liked my sister more than me, because it was always me who ended up with the red butts, and she’d get away with a loud yelling at. Meanwhile my mom would just hit me wherever she could with whatever she could, including a wire coat hanger when she was doing laundry.

And I recognize that I was a problem child, both physically and mentally because of my internal deformities that cause a lot of health problems, but also my weird boyish mentality and energy (I was into roughhousing a lot). But even then, just yelling would be enough to make me stop. Hitting me the way they did only made me learn how to lie to them and hide when I did something wrong.

This sort of stuff went on until about middle school, where it turned into more verbal threats about kicking me out of the house, as well as calling me names and making comments that dropped my self esteem very low, including stupid cow, bitch, and even telling me to hide my body and never wear bikinis or short shorts or crop tops (which I was already sensitive enough about because of my scars and the bump in my abdomen because of my knotted intestines, which gives me digestive issues if I eat too much). Dad almost completely dropped off the disciplinary train, only yelling at me extremely loudly when he got angry, but other than that I did pretty much nothing with him.

Because of them I’ve become extremely paranoid when it comes to touches that aren’t meant to be 100% comforting, and I’ve never been able to fully trust anyone for fear of getting hurt, (I’m sorry Jake :( if it makes you feel better though I trust you the most out of anyone else) and I get nervous when speaking up because I always got shot down by my parents.

It’ll be okay though because I have my boyfriend who I’ll get to live with soon, even if it’s just for the summer.

This isn’t everything that they’ve done, but it’s the majority of it, and even though they do good stuff with me sometimes, like my dad cooks breakfast or takes us out to eat, or we all go on nice vacations together, and it makes me feel guilty that I’m making them look bad, and worry that I’m oversharing or being too sensitive, but then I remember what they do and have done, and remind myself that I’ll only visit during holidays.

When I was 13, I came into contact with a pedophile. My first one out of at least 2 that I remember. I’m going to spare the details, but he tried to roleplay sexual situations with him, and convince me to undress in front of him, and that’s when I cut contact with him, and faked my death. I’m so, SO fucking sick of pedos, and pedo apologists, saying there’s nothing wrong with the age difference, when pedophilia has done nothing good to or for children. It gave me severe PTSD, to the point that I can’t say any words relating to reproduction, and visual-based sexual content will cause me to have flashbacks and panic attacks and cause me to scratch myself. Thanks pedos! Fucking hate you all! Please die.

And before people say I am overreacting, I’ve had this huge trigger since I was 13 and that is not something a kid should go through. And the reason why not a lot of people know about what happened, it’s because of the fear that I harbored, that people would laugh at me, and might use my triggers against me, which made things even worse, and it wasn’t until my boyfriend triggered me (accidentally) that I finally told someone, and it made me feel better that I could rely on him.

Other than that, another rant is about my boyfriend. I mean, he’s a good boyfriend, and he’s nice, but sometimes he comes off as insensitive and it makes me upset. That’s most of the reasons why we fight. Another big thing is lack of affection/attention, which might seems strange since we’re always hanging out, it seems, and cuddling, but sometimes he falls asleep on me and I get bored and don’t know what to do, or sometimes he ignores me to play video games or talk to other people. I am very touch starved so I need constant attention and contact or else I get worried, and I don’t know if he knows this or not, but he definitely comes off as ignorant sometimes. 

He makes up for a lot of stuff he does, but it doesn’t make what he did go away, and I wish he’d realize that and change because he keeps making the same mistakes.

My last rant is going to be about myself, and that I feel like a shit person! I feel like I always make things worse! I feel bad for every decision I make! I feel like I’m too clingy to my boyfriend and that I ask too much of him sometimes, and it makes me feel like shit because what I want and how I feel afterwards are different things and wow! Time for scratches! Also I want to have the power to always know what to do and say to make everyone happier and feel better! But then I get scared I’m gonna make a mistake and instead of trying to help I ignore them and go wow! I am a very shit person for ignoring them! And now my heart hurts because I got another heart palpitation by panicking! Wow I have a shit body! My heart deformities might kill me in my sleep! Wow! I am so insecure about everything I do and every way I look. I just want to become small and disappear sometimes. I miss you Jake. It’s hard for me to tell you I love you because it’s such an intimate phrase and my boyfriend was the first to hear it from me. But I’m glad you’re the second, even though we were so close to it. Somewhere in an alternate universe we’re together, and that makes me happy. I hope I we can become platonically intimate again, I remember holding your hand at night and it made me feel a little bit better at that camp.

My body just always hurts. I have to take a lot of medicine, and between all my heart, lung, and intestinal issues, on top of all my mental issues, majority of which have gone undiagnosed because my mom is in denial and refuses to get me to any sort of therapy; all of that combined makes me tired constantly, and I just always have stress, and a little headache in the back of my head.

I’m still hurting a lot, but I hope to get better. I have lots of ideas for the future, and I want to complete them before I go. I hope I make it past 2020, with many of you in tow.

I’m so tired.

and now that she's making a conscious effort not to do that, and following having Yellow's breakdown during their fight in Change Your Mind, I think she'll be more proactive

and possibly more willing to take interest in other species and cultures and their Ways, even if I'm sure at first it'll still be motivated by Because Pink

and as long as she can be empathetic and help Yellow on that front, Yellow can potentially afford breaking down sometimes in private, because they've now also both seen what Constant Facade turned White into

and they both want White back

none of them can have Pink back but they can keep each other together, so Fairy Godmoms can get their shit together, and maybe Blue has a shit ton of notes somewhere about sustaining the Zoomans that can be implemented toward other planets and species and families they broke up

Give Season Six the chance to be the Barn Squad + Jasper helping Steven pick up the pieces of his life while Jasper occasionally chimes in still stuck in her ways, have Jasper get uncomfortably attached to this half-feral runt Amethyst that won't let go of her shins

have Jasper be aware that the CGs are Broken and Wrong and have that be what prompts her to fix it. Give her the excuse of wanting to kick Garnet's ass. Have her land on the beach in her Saiyan Pod totally visibly uncorrupted

have the season include the other remaining CGs trying to find themselves too

(and obviously reveal mid-season that Jasper's putting on airs and hiding her horns and spots in her costume change+hair, have her unwilling to admit it might be permanent for everyone, have her invested at that point enough that she doesn't find it acceptable)

Thoughts on Fruits Basket 2019 Ep4: “What Year Is She?”

I’ve been thinking for a while now that, even though this reboot is mostly just an adaptation of the original manga, this episode REALLY goes to show that they’re still taking some inspiration from the 2001 anime, or at least including nods to it here and there, which is interesting.

I actually think this episode might win over people who thought that the reboot wasn��t being comedic enough, though for the same reason it might put off people who liked that the reboot wasn’t as comedic as the 2001 anime, lol. I enjoyed it a surprising amount, at least.

Anyway, thoughts under the cut.

OK first off I just gotta say that I am losing my MIND both over how Funimation keeps posting gifs that are clearly multiple episodes ahead of where we’re currently at, and how we still don’t know exactly how long the reboot as a whole will be. In the short term I’ve just been going through a goddamn rollercoaster of mislead expectations, and in the long term, these sorts of episodes where they adapt just one chapter make me REALLY concerned about whether or not they have a concrete outline for the whole thing, and whether or not they might end up having to rush the parts that we’ve been waiting to see adapted for the first time.

Like, I think this episode was actually really good, and it’s probably for the best that they didn’t try and fit chapter 6 into here as well because it would have been a huge tonal whiplash, but I can’t help but be like “Y’ALL BETTER KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING WITH THIS”.

I’ve been playing it safe and assuming that the reboot will probably just be two sets of 26-episode seasons [so 52 episodes in total], but now I’m even less sure about if that length could actually work in the long run. I guess we’ll see. Thankfully the animation studio actually has a fair bit of history doing stuff that’s longer than 50 episodes and goes on for seasons and seasons, but I guess I’m just paranoid and skeptical about how long this will be.

Anyway, onto the actual episode itself, it pretty much just covers chapter 5, with a fair bit of anime-original content to make it actually fit the length of a full episode. Which also means that it basically covers the exact same material as episode 4 of the 2001 anime, which feels a bit odd. But the fact that they’re so similar also highlights their differences, which goes to show why I wasn’t really a big fan of the 2001 anime, and why I’m enjoying the reboot more.

For one thing, even though this episode technically just adapted chapter 5, it also incorporated the flashback we got from way later in the manga in chapter 68 about how Kagura and Kyo first met. Which is an interesting choice. It’s at least an example of how the reboot kinda inherently benefits from having an entire finished manga to work with from the start, so they’re able to incorporate stuff from a lot later in the series when it makes sense. I think this little addition helped make Kagura a little more sympathetic, even if it doesn’t really get into all of the deeper stuff going on with their relationship that we find out later.

I also thought it was interesting that a lot of the anime-original content felt really similar in concept to the original content from episode 4 of the 2001 anime, I ended up feeling like they were handled more nicely. Like, instead of getting a whole thing of Kagura forcibly ripping off Kyo’s shirt and messing up the laundry, she just walks in on Kyo in the shower, and instead of her basically burning down the kitchen while trying to cook, she just used up all their food and then wound up destroying it all by slamming Kyo into the dinner table. They also had that scene where she helps patch up the sliding doors and she uses some cat-shaped stickers to patch up the holes, but it was more of a casual scene with all the characters, whereas in the 2001 anime it was more heavy and serious and just about Tohru and Kagura bonding. And on that note, we got what I think was a completely original scene of Tohru noticing that Kagura left her bag behind, and going to help her buy groceries, which I thought was a very cute and fitting way to show Tohru being nice to her.

The kinda unavoidable issue with this episode is that I just . . . don’t really like Kagura as a character, lmao. I’m really not a fan of this brand of hyper-manic, shouty, often violent comedy. With Kagura specifically there’s the whole thing of how off-putting [and outdated] the whole ‘girl gets comically violent with the boy she likes’ trope, but in general, it’s kinda the same reason why I also don’t like characters like Ritsu, or Shigure’s editor, or even some moments with Ayame. It’s just not my kind of comedy.

But I did still enjoy this more than either this chapter of the manga or this episode of the 2001 anime. It’s not like they toned down Kagura’s whole, uh, personality, but I think the overall execution was just nicer. It also reminds me that one thing I’ve been really enjoying about the reboot is how it’s really fun and knows how to be light-hearted and cartoony when it wants to be, which you really get a lot of in this episode. Even if it’s not my brand of comedy, it’s still fun to see this sort of anime messing around with silly cartoony animation when it wants to. And I actually did like the little visual joke where Kagura spins Kyo so fast in the air that she starts lifting off like a helicopter. I was honestly kinda worried at first that the reboot would try too hard to be on-model and ‘pretty’ with it’s character designs and animations at all times, but that hasn’t been the case at all.

I’m glad that I’ve been holding off on actually posting about all of my more in-depth speculation about how I think the pacing and stuff are gonna go, because I just keep getting proven wrong every step of the way, lol.

As I said before, I’m still leaning on the safe option of assuming that the reboot will just be two seasons/50-ish episodes long in total, since that at least seems like it’s probably the minimum we should expect, but if they keep up this sort of willingness to take things really slowly, I’m gonna end up really hoping that they plan on having it be a fair bit longer than that.

Anyway, it looks like we’ll at least get chapter 6 adapted in the next episode. I’m curious to see if they handle it like the 2001 anime again, and have it take up an entire episode like chapter 5 did, but we’ll see. Funimation’s posted gifs from chapters 7 and 9 as well, but who even knows if they’ll be part of the next episode at this point.

FULL ENDGAME REVIEW

6.5/10 was ok but could’ve been a lot better in my opinion and by a lot better i mean

tony should’ve lived

-the russos are war criminals for what they did to tony alone. he had a family to go back to, JUST like clint. but i guess self sacrifice is cool, right?

-ever since iron man 3, tony’s story has essentially a dark twist to the “great power great responsibility” trope: the hero internalizes the motivating phrase (“don’t waste your life”), and let it interfere with their ability to take care of themself/open up to others. it started strong in iron man 3, got undermined in aou, got slightly more prevalent in the context of civil war, FINALLY got foreshadowed in infinity war. his arc was ultimately about letting other people HELP him with the responsibility he feels like he needs to carry 

-until endgame threw it under the bus again. in an objectively cool way, yeah, but it still got thrown under the bus and i’m mad

-so now tony stark’s story is ultimately a tragedy. and i fucking hate it, man. he had happiness (but not really, because peter’s not there) for 5 years and that got snatched away from him too! he underwent so much trauma since his goddamn origin story and he had a few moments of peace, sure, but he died before he could fully reunite with his loved ones. and it SUCKS. 

-god this is . this is like. if obi-wan kenobi went through All That but got really close to luke before he died and also never got any closure with anakin as a force ghost

-the russos have said, like outright, that thanos was a symbol of what tony’s been fearing of since 2012, the being that symbolized the root of his anxiety and ptsd. so what does tony do to defeat it? uhhh idk he dies i guess. but it’s okay! he can finally rest now!

-really great message there for the kids, right? 

-also there was a whole sequence about him talking to his dad about not abandoning his kid and being there for her. but now he CAN’T be there for morgan because tony stark is fucking gone and dead and i can’t fucking handle this he deserves so much better

-also also not to be a DudeBroGeek™ but he totally got nerfed during his fight scenes

thor shouldn’t have been played off as a joke

-my whole theater laughed at him being . fat. and i was SUPER SUPER SUPER uncomfy the entire time

-don’t even get me STARTED on his arc. like from thor 1 to dark world it’s about putting aside his arrogance for the good of his people. for ragnarok it’s finally stepping up and finding his powers while taking up the responsibility as king. in infinity war i was able to turn a blind eye to it, but it’s so prevalent in endgame how little the russos care about thor’s journey in his movies

-in the end he passes off the responsibility he took up in ragnarok to val and just straight up fucked off to space. like what the hell, man?

-ALSO . loki said the sun would shine on them again but the sun DIDN’T fucking shine on them and i feel robbed. i feel like the russos broke into my home and stole something important.

general saltiness out of the way, i’m going to list what i did like about the movie

-those posts going around about how knowing the spoilers take away from the movie are actually really, really wrong. i went in knowing more than half the plot including who lives and dies and i still found it entertaining, to say the least. the movie had a lot of effort put into making it and it really shows. if you ignore the parts you don’t like, you can actually kick back and have a relatively good time

-also the action was really, really good. throughout the entire movie. it’s an avengers film, so the action has to be good, but the fights were still super awesome and a lot were actually a cut above the rest of the mcu (especially the melee fights)

-the final battle was amazing. up until the end, i was on the edge of my seat, because even though it’s another “big final battle against an army of cgi monsters” i actually really really liked it. pretty much everything was perfect about it, and it was so fun to watch the theater go ham whenever a hero did something badass.

-the score. god, the score. alan silvestri did so good with calling back motifs from other solo mcu movies (something marvel should’ve been doing the entire time). ant man’s theme after scott pops out of the quantum realm, captain america’s march when tony hands the shield back to steve, the reprise of “even for you” from infinity war during clint and nat’s mission to vormir, captain marvel’s theme when she blows up thanos’ ship? beautiful

-the actors did a superb job with everything they were given (which probably wasn’t that much). since the russos were paranoid about spoilers apparently no one knew who they were talking to which sucked? because the marvel cast is pretty good at improv lines. but the actors still did a REALLY good job despite this (and really do carry the movie). i felt in my BONES tony’s frustration and anger at steve during the wheelchair scene, thor’s pain and self-loathing when he reunited with frigga, and peter’s DESPAIR when he watched tony die (i will never be okay ever)

-the callbacks to previous mcu movies were fanservice, yeah, but it was the GOOD kind of fanservice in that it was really really cool and served the fans. it’s a great way for the last movie in the infinity saga to end, by revisiting some of the iconic places it touched on before

-tony and nebula! they were only together for the first scene of the movie but the scene with paper football was really soft and nice 

-the civil war conflict was glossed over save for that one scene of tony going the fuck off on steve and i couldn’t be more grateful

-MORGAN STARK. god if i had the capacity to cry i’d be sobbing through writing this entire post. morgan and her soft dad made my heart MELT into pieces i love them 3000

-they still deserved better though

-scott. like in general. he was one of the highlights of the movie. his reunion with cassie was :’)

-carol’s haircut

-by the way a lot of people complained about her makeup in her first scene with the avengers shown in the trailers but it literally wasn’t a problem for any other carol scene in the movie (because that was the only scene in the entire runtime where she was wearing noticeable lipstick/eyeshadow or whatever)

-professor hulk. i actually didn’t expect to like him, but he made a lot of actually funny jokes and i liked his personality contrast with 2012 hulk. also he made scott tacos! he’s really wholesome and i’m willing to ignore the part where he dabbed

-the mark 85 is one of my favorite iron man suits now, even though it didn’t get a lot of screentime

-speaking of which it’s REALLY great how most of the time when tony saves the day it’s because of his smarts. it brings back the main theme of the character: tony stark, the human, plays ball with gods, aliens, and monsters just by being quick witted.

-the entire sequence of tony, steve, and scott getting the scepter and the tesseract was PURE gold. (it’s my favorite part of the movie honestly)

-tony: ok scott to create a distraction i need you to put my past self into cardiac arrest. \ scott: uhh. uhh ok dude?? \ tony: my self loathing is this strong

-rhodey and nebula! they were an awesome teamup and i really really liked their friendship/dynamic

-PEPPER IN RESCUE ARMOR. WE DIDN’T GET ENOUGH OF THAT BUT IT WAS SO GOOD I LOVED IT HER ARMOR DESIGN WAS REAL GREAT

-tony reuniting with peter. i teared up. legit. i teared up.

-thanos: *headbutts carol* \ carol: *doesn’t even move an inch*

-wanda was so badass in her 10 second scene. i just thought it was really cool

-peter using instant kill mode

-tony using the gauntlet was badass. i hated it but it was SO amazing at the same time i wanted to cry and cheer at the same time so i ended up in a semi catatonic state for the rest of the day

-the little wreath with the first arc reactor, morgan craving cheeseburgers, tony’s last message.....;-;

-i love you 3000.....:((((((

-SAM GETTING TO BE CAP. (this was one of the best parts of the all-new all-different avengers comic) even though i still don’t like steve’s ending, i love that sam is going to take up the mantle (and i’m super excited to see the falcon winter soldier show now)

-the movie ended with the soundtrack of tony building the mark 1 solidifying that none of this would’ve happened without iron man. good thing endgame credits said that maybe tony stan lives do matter

tldr: the movie had an ending that didn’t really fit the characters, but the rest of it was fun to watch: the action scenes were great, the interactions between the characters were mostly good, and it’s overall pretty entertaining as a film by itself. as a closing to the infinity saga it feels unsatisfying, but as a movie it’s enjoyable

If someone's laughing, do you instantly think they're laughing at you? Egh no, not really. I’ve had people laugh at me but I do know about it; I’ve never felt paranoid like this. What is the strangest thing you've been asked? My mom’s masseuse asked me if I was pregnant after taking a good look at me and deciding I looked familiar. It felt weird and eerie until I told my parents about it the next day and they said “Oh yeah, she’s the one with the third eye.” Didn’t feel as strange after that, but at the time when she looked me dead in the eye and asked me that question it was definitely so weird lmao. What’s the weirdest thing about life that people just accept as normal? Sometimes I wonder how people from the far past got to decide how certain animals were safe to eat even though they a) clearly scream danger, b) have such a complex way of being consumed (like crabs), or c) ARE STRAIGHT UP POISONOUS (like the pufferfish in Japan). I told myself I was gonna start externals work for my org, but I’ve just been so burned out in the last month that I haven’t gotten around to starting yet. Who’s the most interesting person you’ve ever met? When I was still interning at my PR firm, I shadowed my supervisor in an interview that one of our clients had for that day. Our client’s representative is the biggest badass I’ve met. He’s from South Africa and was born and raised at a time when apartheid was still around. He’s white, so he was brainwashed in school to think that they were superior and for a time, he really thought his race was. Then he got to work under Nelson Mandela’s party when he was much older and that was the only time he realized how backwards that mindset was. Anyway he had Mandela’s spies stalk his ass every single day because of his background and he ultimately got shot twice. There’s loads more stories to tell but I don’t want to give him away. 

When I was watching him get interviewed he proved to have a lot of knowledge on history and current events too so that’s another plus. He was just super cool and it was a breath of fresh air to talk to a foreigner that was more aware of social situations than the average Filipino. What just doesn't impress you? Carly Rae Jepsen. aries moons: they’re such a spitfire, they take up any challenge and they’re so energetic. one of my closest friends is an aries moon (and rising) and istg i love her to bits! she’s blunt because she’s also a gemini sun and i always want that in a friend tbh. deep talks with her are super fun and raw, she literally makes me feel less worried about myself lmao probably one of my favorite aries placements!

taurus moons: omggg i adore them so much ! they’re quite calm and collected for most and they take things into action rather than having to complicate things. literally my dad is a taurus moon and he always is like “actions speak louder than words” and he isn’t much of a deep talker, if so he tries to run away from those typesn of talks or just doesn’t speak as much but he knows his ways haha also one of my fave moon signs! lowkey spends money when they’re upset for some reason lol (coughs at my dad for buying a bougie ass outfit after fighting with mom HAHAHAHAH)

gemini moons: VERY FUNNY PEOPLE and very talkative but sometimes i wished they didn’t drive their emotions away by changing topics too often,,,, still, i find them rather interesting! sometimes they really just want attention lol but they’re cool

cancer moons: i know most posts say that we cancer moons are very emotional but even if it’s true, we’re also rather strong? like sUUUURE WE CRY EASILY ESPECIALLY IF IT HAS TO DO WITH PEOPLE WE LOVE but we are totally fighters and we seek the assurance of having honesty with people. double cross us and we’re literally not afraid to show our more spiteful side (depends on mars… but some cancer moons i’ve met are so amazing in debates and arguments when wronged it’s great). ive also noticed theyre lowkey one of the overthinkers too

leo moons: they’re super intimidating at first but they’re actually rather friendly and comforting as you get to know them and show them your loyalty as a friend, sometimes they may be overboard but honestly they really just want attention just like gemini moons kjdskljfsd but i don’t mind!! also brave but slightly insecure, they’re afraid of showing their vulnerable side and come out as strong but honestly they’re super caring and would do things to make others feel better. more on the action side rather than talking most of the time

virgo moons: okayyy so i only know like two people with virgo moons and all i can think about them is that they tend to overthink / be paranoid? and are so work-oriented… like they want to show their best to other people and if they don’t get the recognition they’re usually kind of disappointed in themselves and take it hard :( but they’re actually quite stable in emotions too

libra moons: because i’m also a libra sun i find them kind of relatable sometimes honestly. however i just wished they weren’t so finicky with themselves to seek approval and unaccepting of getting emotional once in a while. one libra moon i’ve met is so often indecisive i feel bad,,,they literally don’t like fighting and arguing! very friendly and fun to talk to though

scorpio moons: i have two close friends who are scorpio moons and they’re rather deep in emotions ONLY if they think they’re ready to open up. one of them even likes talking to me for more honest stuff (lol probably because i’m a cancer moon? water moon vibes). they’re also one of the sweetest and honest tbh! i vibe with them a lot. they don’t really take judgment seriously unless it’s something they’re insecure about/they’re acknowledged of. actually super kind and caring! 

sagittarius moons: they’re the most positive people i’ve ever met (that also depends on their other placements tbh but i’m only basing this off of two of my friends who have sag moons and one has a fire rising and another has a fire sun). one of my friends who has a sag moon is honestly very intelligent and loves studying (wow can i be hER) plus! she’s really friendly and vibes with just anyone. the other one is also just as friendly but a little bit more chill but talking with her is so fun. sometimes they can end up getting careless with their words especially if they don’t know what’s going on (i find sag placements are quite gullible? including me as a sag rising LMAO)

capricorn moons: one of the most honest people around, they’re straight to the point. however again like i said it can depend on other placements, but cap moons i’ve met are very levelheaded and calm. they may seem to be a bit robotic for some but if you totally need help on something they’re ones who know how to hit you on the right spots emotionally AND be able to fix them up right after. only problem i have w them is that they’re sometimes kind of “meh” and i’d feel kind of irritated with that lol

aquarius moons: i only know one person with an aqua moon and istg they’re so… idk unique minded?? idk how to word it but he has some of the most interesting and weird thoughts lol it’s funny and interesting! huge intellect, talks with him in general are always above the border. but he’s not super emotional but rather detached and tends to run from his own emotions?? (sag moons and libra moons also tend to do this lol).idk that’s just me tbh since i haven’t had deep talks with him either lol

pisces moon: funny enough i’ve never met?? people with pisces moons? at least in real life or if i have met them i haven’t really gotten to know them so i can’t say much :( i do think they’re one of the kindest souls out there so i’d totally love meeting a pisces moon soon!
