TT!Robin x Superboy!Reader

Summary: When a young teen news reporter wanted to privately interview you after you save a people from a crashing building. Robin can’t help but get a “little” jealous seeing his boyfriend get rubbed on by the reporter.

Superboy flew in with quickness. He used his speed to stop debris falling on the pedestrians, even going as far to punch some into pieces that won’t cause no harm to any one.

The titans came in at the time when superboy saved a nearby reporter, she seemed fairly young to be a full one. As superboy picked her up bridal style and flew, he didn’t notice the loving gaze she gave him. Superboy sets her down far away and flys again back. Robin swings from his grapple hook by the super who landed on the ground. “Superboy! What’s the status?” Robin says standing by the boy looking around. “There’s a girl trapped under something.” The super immediately gets to the action.

Y/N carefully pulled all the pieces of stone and metal, he sees the girl and smiles softly. “Hey there…” the little girl sniffles, holding an American girl doll. Superboy picked up the girl and flew off, he carefully used his hearing to see where the mother could be. Shortly after that, superboy found the mother and gave the daughter safely to her.

Robin stayed a little after the rest of the team went back to the tower. Y/N was certainly surrounded by people thanking him for helping and saving them. Robin smiled as he stood by the super. “I’m glad you’re on the team superboy.” Y/N smiled warmly, his hand rested in the boy wonder’s shoulder.

“I’m glad too partner!” Before Robin can tell you both that you have to leave. The reporter you saved appears next to you with a smile. Robin raised a brow while you were shock by her sudden presence. You didn’t even hear her heartbeat next to you. “Superboy! I’m Helena Snow, reporter for jump city school and news.” You turn your head confused. “You don’t seem like one..you seem like my age?” Helena rolled her eyes. “Oh cmonnn, anyone can get a job at any age above 13. Or is the boy of steel that naive?” She immediately pulled out a notebook.

“Uhmmm…” you didn’t know what to say, but you could feel the glare of Robin at the back of your head. Sweat dropping at your secretive boyfriend, you focus back to Helena who smiled up at you. “Okay, so superboy, what’s it’s like working for the titans?” Y/N smile as Helena wrote what he had to say. “Well, Robin’s an amazing leader very good! I’m glad we have another alien on our team, starfire is very compassionate. Beast boy is amazing! He’s good at shape shifting at the right time, and he’s an amazing comedian in my tastes. Cyborg, he’s a cool dude. He’s half robot but he’s all the half we need on our team.”

“Woah! So passionate, so charming of you and your words!” Helena smiled, but her smile dropped seeing a gloomy Robin behind the super. Robin’s eyes were clearly trained on the reporter. Helena smirked at this, sensing something going on between the two heroes. “Say, that does the S stand for on your hero costume?” Helena started to touch the super’s chest. Y/N tensed as Robin was internally screaming seeing that girl’s hand rub up all over his boyfriend.

“Uh, on my father’s and my planet. The S stands for hope. Though here it’s just an S.” Y/N takes the girl’s hand off his chest. Now Robin was standing right beside the superboy who seemed to sense the negative energy.

“Okay last question..” Robin glared harder at the female. You felt tension between the two as Helena tilted her head teasingly at Robin before putting her attention at you. “Is the boy of steel single?” Now that was Robin’s breaking point. He pushed you behind him, he was not playing games. “He’s not answering that. That’s personal business, and I would like to say Mrs. Snow, I think he’s had enough of your questions.” Robin’s voice was stern and low as Helena smirked at this.

Helena tilted her head before speaking. “So, you’re jealous?” Is it bad to say Robin almost used the unisex hammer of justice on the reporter? The super had to grab the enraged boy wonder who tried to claw at the reporter. “Let me go!” He chanted as the superboy then lifted off into the air. “Bye Mrs. Snow!” Y/N says before flying. “Who does she think she is, huh?!” Y/N sighed at the angry Robin who ranted to himself personally at this moment.

“Dick. Calm down babe, she was just trying to get under your skin. She probably suspected we’re dating by the way you were glaring. Which is true.” Dick seemed to calm down when you used his name, his real name. He frowned, realizing he had indeed lose his cool. He was trained to not show much emotions, but he couldn’t help just when it was about his boyfriend. “I should’ve controlled my emotions…” Y/N hummed at what dick was saying. “But you couldn’t, i don’t blame you honey. I would’ve done the same if a boy or girl even dared touched you.” Y/N chuckled, it made dick chuckle as well.

“But even if that reporter chick submits a paper about us dating. It doesn’t mean the world is gonna stop dick. It’s gonna keep going, just like our love. So don’t think much about it, okay?” Dick smiled looking up at you. “You’re so cheesy. But okay.” The super smiled at his boyfriend.

“So Robin, you’re calm now? Not gonna use the hammer of unisex on me or whatever it’s called?” Robin laughed, but kept a smug look. “Only if superboy just flies away at the right time and not stay behind for a reporter to try at him.” Y/N smiled. “On it.”

“But I can’t help but say….you’re so cute when you’re jealous babe.” Y/N says kissing Robin’s head. Robin’s glaring pout face falter with a small frown and a flustered face. “Stopp..” Robin whines trying to break out of the hold of the kryptonian. Y/N only bellowed a laugh as he flys away to the tower holding his delicate bird.

These details are not exactly fleshed out since I never really had the time beyond discord messages and me answering questions about their dynamic. In the shatterverse there is only one Agent Stone that exists. He's first the Agent/Assistant to Mr. Dr. Eggman and later on extends his role to the other members of the Chaos Councils when they meet and team up. There was an incident where Stone was injured beyond repair and was just waiting to die. The Chaos Council wouldn't let that happen so they turned him into a cyborg. They had built his body as human as possible, even giving him artificial nerves.

Now that Stone was a cyborg, he's also to do more things his human body wasn't able to do. He was also more efficient and needed less time to rest. The Chaos Council began to demand more from him and started to think of him as a robot, their property, and not human anymore.

One day Stone goes to Mr. Dr. Eggman asking him to let him go and deactivate him. While Stone was devoted and loyal to the Chaos Council, he was also suppose to die and didn't want to live. The problem is that he was still human. While his body might not reflect the damage, his brain still remembers the incident and Stone has phantom pains everywhere on his body and it really messes him up. He knows the Chaos Council only saved him because he believes they cared about him as much as he does. Stone tells him that it was unhealthy for them to cling to him, to preserve a life by building it a body. Mr. Dr. Eggman didn't like that, the idea of Stone not being by his side was impossible and so he took away Stone's autonomy, basically having full control of him so he couldn't leave because Stone is theirs. While Stone no longer had control of his body and his brain was numbed. He was still able to hear, see, and feel what does council does to him but he no longer able to feel the phantom pains.

Stone doesn't get the right side of his face robotized until after his autonomy was taken. I had the idea that either Dr. Babble or Dr. Done-it did it in a fit of rage. They took their anger out on Stone and injured him, they had smashed his head in and some more around his body. They never knew that they inflected that much damage on Stone as they also took their anger out on their surroundings. Rusty Rose pulled him out of there while they focused their rage on something else. She brings him to Mr. Dr. Eggman who helps him the damage severe and almost reversable, to save time he robotizes the right side of his face. Later he punishes the two council members by revoking their access to Stone.

Can we have a history of your Cyborg, aka Victor, please?

Absolutely!

Victor Stone was the son of two brilliant scientists who were working on a top secret government project, codename: Icarus. (Project objective: study and reverse engineer as much technology as possible from a crash-landed alien space-craft, which is actually Superman’s escape pod, but they don’t know that yet.) Mr. and Mrs. Stone both have incredible intellects, so it was no surprise that their son was found out to possess a genius-level IQ. However, as Victor grew up, he developed a passion not for science, but for sports. Sure, he enjoyed talking with his parents about their work and he got excellent grades—it wasn’t that he hated science or engineering or any of that stuff—it’s just that he felt he had a greater passion for sports. He loved his buddies on the football team, he loved traveling and playing big games, he loved the competition, it was far more exciting than sitting in a lab. His parents didn’t quite understand, mainly his dad. He was of the opinion that Victor had been given the gift of intellect, something that very few people in this world have, but he’s squandering it on something as pointless and meaningless as football? Boy, did they have some arguments over it. Vic’s mom often found herself trying to be the voice of reason. While she was also disappointed that her son didn’t want to become a scientist/engineer like her or her husband, and she never was one for sports, she wanted to try and be supportive to the best of her ability. Maybe this was just a phase?

Things remained strained all throughout high school, especially since neither of Vic’s parents could ever make it to any of his games. They were too busy working on their “top secret research” which always drove Victor up a wall. He wasn’t even allowed to know what was so important that both his parents couldn’t make time for their own son. Mrs. Stone would apologise… Mr. Stone would always say, “well, if you would hurry up and graduate at MIT, you could join us, but nooo, you want to become an athlete.”

His Junior Year, Victor took his school’s football team all the way to nationals, and won. But still, his parents weren’t there to see it. He marched over to the facility where they worked (Vic used to come to the lab with his folks all the time, so the security guard knew him) and he planned on rubbing his achievement in both of their faces. He picked a very bad time to do so. In the middle of their discussion, something started to go wrong with one of the experiments the lab was conducting, and Mr. and Mrs. Stone started to leave to go fix it. (Keep in mind, there are no sirens wailing, they just got an alert on one of the computers that something was up that needed to be looked at. So in Vic’s mind, this little “error” was more important than him. Surely one of the other scientists could handle it, right?) So Victor followed his parents, calling after them, trying to get them to stop and talk to him. They all walked into the lab together, security trying to hold Vic back. Then the sirens start wailing. Critical failure. Malfunction. Meltdown imminent. The security guards suddenly forgot about Vic as they rushed to get all the scientists to safety, meanwhile Victor ran into the fray to save his dad, who was refusing to leave the computer terminal, trying to fix things—

A massive explosion went off in the lab. When Mr. Stone’s ears stopped ringing and his eyes refocussed, he saw several of his friends and his wife lying dead on the floor, while he had managed to survive thanks to his son shielding him from the blast. For a sickening moment, Mr. Stone wondered if he had just lost his entire family, but then he realised that Victor still had a pulse. Barely. His body was horribly mangled—his arms and legs were beyond repair, having been crushed by debris or shot full of shrapnel, but his brain and his organs could be salvaged.

Mr. Stone looked like a true mad man has he rushed Victor to on-site emergency room, and he didn’t even wait until he knew the doctors had stabilised his son before he started drafting up the plan that would ultimately save his life.

Five months later, Victor woke up. The first person he saw was his father, who looked like he hadn’t slept since the day of the accident. Then, when he looked down at himself, he saw metal. Metal legs, metal arms, and metal casing around his torso. Mr. Stone had retrofitted the alien tech they had been researching for the past 20+ years to rebuild his son as a Cyborg. It was such a shock to Vic that it made him physically sick. What made it worse was the news that his mother had died in the explosion, and all of this was entirely his father’s fault. If he had just followed procedure and evacuated like he was supposed to, prioritising the safety of Mrs. Stone, Vic wouldn’t have felt the need to rush in, and everyone would have survived. Mr. Stone did know that… but that’s precisely why he had been practically killing himself to bring Vic back from the brink of death. If he didn’t, then he truly would never be able to sleep at night…

Even so, the situation was catastrophic. Vic and his dad had another argument, one that finally broke the man and forced his mental state to be thoroughly reevaluated. In the end, his superiors had no choice but to submit him to a mental hospital, in the hopes that one of their best scientists could be rehabilitated. Victor meanwhile had now landed in an interesting predicament. Human experimentation is very much against a lot of laws, but without either of his parents, seventeen-year-old Victor Stone was technically still a dependant, entrusted into the care of the laboratory, per his father’s request, and more than half of him was now made of top-secret government-owned tech, which, technically, could make him the government’s property. Naturally, the higher ups couldn’t risk this turning into a courtroom drama in the slightest with Vic trying to file for emancipation or demanding compensation for the experimentation already done to him, and since all of this had already been done in secret, and they had enough of an excuse to… they tried to keep Victor Stone locked up in one of their most secret laboratories to continue experimenting on him and record the data from the first successful combination of man and machine.

For a while, there was nothing Vic could do. His body was still weak, adjusting to this metal nightmare, and he was scared. But given time, he was able to master his new strength, discovered his ability to interface with computers, and that combined with his incredible intellect, was what enabled him to escape the lab one night. He was done letting the government use him as a guinea pig. He learned to lay low. Hacked into the government’s systems to wire himself the money he needed to survive. Never left a trace. Unless he wanted to. As soon as he was confident in his abilities, he started hacking into their files and exposing some of their secrets to the public, turning him into a legendary ghost of a hacker. This, um… *encouraged* the government to “take action.” They wanted Vic captured, alive or dead.

Thankfully, right as the heat was beginning to really get turned up, who should uncover the identity of the Cyborg, but one Boy Wonder, aka Robin? He and his motley group of friends (tentatively calling themselves the “Teen Titans”) were trying to hack into The Watchtower to steal the Justice League’s personal spaceship in order to help out an alien princess named Starfire. Vic was a little confused, but if this crazy adventure got him off Earth and away from the government, he was in. Hacking the Watchtower would be child’s play for him.

In the end, it was a very good thing the Titans had Vic along with them, having the know-how to fix the ship whenever they got into a scrape. They all became friends, him and Dick and Wally and Donna and Starfire, and had quite a few bizarre adventures on their way to Tamaran. One of which occurred very early on. Starfire suggested that Cyborg ought to upgrade his crude cybernetics when they got to the nearest outfitter, which he did. Now he wouldn’t need to carry his tools with him everywhere, he had them built-in to his metal arms, along with several fancy new weapons to defend himself with. Cyborg 2.0 was here! However, there was one drawback to advancing himself so much with such alien tech:

It began to call itself “The Grid.” Yes, part of his systems had gained sentience, and was now an artificial intelligence. Vic had hoped at first that this system would be able to help him, but it quickly became apparent that—like with humans—ai develops a personality of its own. Grid was curious and obsessive, always wanting to learn and understand and accumulate knowledge, to the point that he would take it from others by force. Vic tried to rein it in, but then Grid turned its virtual eye on him and realised something. Human emotions were as of yet unknown. Once he had assimilated “emotions” then perhaps Victor’s strange commands and arguments would compute. He tried to take control of Victor, assimilating him entirely using nanobots. I’m still writing this adventure, but it’s meant to be kinda the first arch-nemesis arch of Season 1, so it’ll be a big deal. it’s just that, right now, this is about as much info as I have for it.

Anyway, it ends with the Titans expunging Grid into space, thinking they would never see him again, and Victor comes away from the experience with a new perspective. Ever since waking up, he had felt inhuman. Like he had been turned into a “thing” that no one saw as having his own feelings or rights or opinions. But after what happened with Grid, and after meeting his new friends, he realised that what truly made him human wasn’t what he looked like, it was who he was inside. His ability to care and empathise and be kind. Whatever doubts had begun to seep in about him not being human anymore were thoroughly discarded now. He had proven that his heart was twice as big as any program’s brain, and that’s what truly mattered.

Of course, there are lots more adventures with Cyborg, like the return of Grid, his time with the Titans, then his time with Justice League, but this essentially his whole origin story. Hope you enjoyed it! Let me know if there’s anything I’m missing or should add.

So here's how Mel can survive. The bomb definitely gonna hit her, right? She basically has a target on her back. But hear me out:

Gold prosthetics.

We've got Finn's jaw thing, which I dunno if it's even a prosthetic but it's a big gold thing integrated with his body, and we've got two councillors with large gold parts of their body: that woman with the giant rings, which I think is just meant to be an accessory based on the ndebele people's neck rings, but the thing is about those rings irl is they may not TECHNICALLY be a prosthetic but they do deform the body of the wearer over time and I imagine they're hard as fuck to remove, so the line between them and the body is thin - and then there's the councillor whose entire body is just gold prosthetics to the point where you can't even tell what race he is under there!

So, yeah, there's precedent for gold prosthetics already, and Mel is absolutely COVERED in gold. It's an incredibly obvious visual motif - and not only is it obvious, but the parts where the gold ends and she starts are actually incredibly unclear already.

Like, what's going on with her shoulders and neck? How are those gold plates staying on there if they're not embedded into her skin? She's literally sleeping and they're still in there. You're telling me this isn't foreshadowing that she's gonna get gold prosthetics later on? Maybe something on her shoulders and back, where the bomb is definitely going to blow her the fuck up?

The arcane is a show absolutely full of prosthetics, to the point where if anyone loses any part of themselves at any point, however small, you can guarantee it'll come back as a prosthetic at some point (even Jayce's mum's fingers are visibly frostbitten in his flashback and in the future she has finger prosthetics!), so if they're injuring this woman who they've also very intentionally SMOTHERED in gold, there's no way she isn't gonna become some sort of gold cyborg.

And who's gonna do it to her? Mr. Glorious Evolution, of course. That or Jayce, but... I dunno, if I was to take bets on who's gonna make her a goldborg I'd go for mr. transhumanism.

STELLA DOODLES + SOME FACTS

After the doodles that I did for Inocy, I find it entertaining and enjoyable to do, so I want to do this kind of doodles page for each of the fankids. And of course, the next one would be Stella

Inocy doodles page doesn’t have that much to tell (but im gonna update anyways for spill some info), but this one sure have some interesting stuff that I would like to share, being lore related about them.

• Stella was a cyborg/robot created by knows who and was found outside the Puzzlevision Studio in an extremely bad damage (screen and ‘antennas’ broken, and not legs)

• Once Puzzles found them, he decided to repair themand threat her as his daughter, because seeing that poor thing is was clearly that she was alone and there wasn’t even a note near them.

• Stella at first didn’t have a proper name, so Puzzles just call her “little star” or “kid”. Once she was full repair he give her the name Stella.

• Mario and Mr. Puzzles dynamic in my au is clearly something. At first they just co-parenting because Stella was adored by the plumber, Stella tried different ways to made fall in love being one of them making a script for a Puzzlevision parody where both were a couple (kinda work), time passed and they start getting closer to each other and slowly getting feelings, finally they start dating and the two become a couple.

• The short story on how Mario discovered the existence of Stella was because Puzzles lost Stella when they were buying some clothes and things to finish the repairs. Stella realize she got lost and don’t know where to go, so they keep standing in place alone waiting for someone that could help her, and the person was Mario, he stay with her and try to help her, Stella was just amazed and get attached to Mario so easily.

• Meeting Mario influenced the appearance of Stella, her eyes and hair are a notable example. Also she went to a reds and blues in her clothes instead of the gray scale that was intended, being the blue tones the predominant.

• Since Stella was raised by Mario too, she pick up some manners and phrases of him, which made Puzzles re-think if this was a good idea.

Good Stuff: SMG4's Silence of the Cats

How long has it been since I reviewed SMG4 like this? *whispers* FIVE YEARS?! Thought it would be longer. For me, the machinima youtuber started out this year with something that intrigued me enough for me to review what is now their seventh movie. Now that it's out and the saga surrounding this is for now over, I have my feelings of not just this but SMG4 over the years. I'll discuss the latter at a later time, but let's start with a little background.

The channel's universe is full of characters, but Karen you wouldn't have thought much about at first. Felt like she was the Larry from Gumball character or an Incidental from Spongebob who's around for odd jobs surrounding whatever adventure the crew goes on in an episode. Then it turned out she's a mom of 3 and I was cool with it; nothing amazing for the initial few times she was around but nothing I hated. Then last year the episode 'We Have to Kill Mario' came around and I was like, "Oh shit?" and up to now, that feeling were carried as while she's not my favorite in this universe, I really enjoyed the episodes she got. As for this movie, I'm for once surprised of the direction SMG4 went. Then again, let's get this out the way.

This was pure melodrama and I loved it

Even after sticking with this series for so long, I'm not gonna pretend SMG4 has evolved to pen-dropping writing that rivals my GOAT list of media. You can predict everything that happens in this if you've watched other movies and shows, and if you didn't care about Karen before this will not change your views. Never gonna call it slop like some people, but like I said before long ago, where it lacks in being well-weaved or uncontrived, I say it made up for it in active and emotional fun. For the first movie that basically involves nobody else, cameos aside, Karen, Mr. WPNZ, and the kittens carry the runtime especially when you kept up with the episodes leading to this. Elsie and Gianni are stellar in selling the emotion that comes with bitter exes struggling over a fracturing family. This honestly has better moments of everyone working through things than the previous movies which they tend to rush even when they're not restricted by runtime. I say this, but there is one thing... that troubles me.

Mr. WPNZ worked for this on the surface; he was introduced, has clear motives, never feels like they pulled him out of nowhere despite his design and how Karen birthed kids with a fish cyborg... At the same time, I'm conflicted of him being the villain. On one hand, it's simple to get that yeah, he wanted to reconnect but is dead set on chasing the highs of the past that he's essentially using them for his gain. On the other hand, his aggressive, self-destructive nature could've been done better. I say, from the getgo, let him be more genuine in trying to change that even Karen's taken aback. Let him spend more time with Karen AND the kids before the big mission where he naturally relapses to his old tendencies. Hardly much would need to change, and you'd have a stronger, more convincing character.

Otherwise, I'd kinda change next to nothing

There's a scene of Karen and SMG4 sharing a heartfelt conversation of what it takes to be a parent that exists not long after it's reveal the former's kids are part weapon like this is Chainsaw Man. Having stuck with this webseries for so long, there's a beauty in seeing a shitposter develop a vast world where the power of family and friendship can overcome vindictive bastards and you're along for the ride. Writing hiccups aside, it's that "cringe but free" energy that always keeps me coming back to SMG4 and invested in stories like Karen's. The drama never gets in the way of having kickass and funny moments, I'd kill to protect the catkiddos myself, and I'm glad the writing crew stuck to their guns to let their OC have her time to shine.

Fact they didn't immediately bank on Minecraft movie at its peak hype says a lot too

Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. I've had me issues, but it's been well a while since I've expressed the joy of watching SMG4 and seeing a feature made with some originality like before. I'm glad the channel stays thriving, more so if you count Glitch Productions, and while this won't be everyone's tea, this film more than impressed me.

Introducing the teamup of Mr. Zigmund and Miss Bettani, off to investigate rumors of a slime monster in the Sumps of Zaun!

Since my OC Betti is based in Zaun, I simply had to have her meet Zaun's resident yordle champion, Ziggs. From there, I realized that they would have a fun dynamic with the simple personality contrast of "he's hot, she's cold".

Question is, how do they meet?

When Bettani first returned to Zaun, she was intending to have a solo mission in the Sumps. She had second thoughts upon nearly getting robbed by some schmucks (they ended up peppered with acid burns and struggling to find footing on her slippery slime), and witnessing crimes in the double digits during her descent in the fissure. She wasn't sure her supplies would last past the Entresol Level.

The thought of getting backup came to mind. She wasn't going to waste time on either going back to Bandle City to get a scout like Teemo or trying to find someone in Piltover willing to get messy in Zaun, but Zaun was just full of sketchy people who would stab her in the back. She stewed over her conundrum, until she was interrupted by an explosion on an above walkway.

She watched as a yordle hopped onto the railing of said walkway with a bellow of "GOOD MORNING, ZAUN!", before he dove out of the reach of some angry Chem-Thugs. The people around Betti cleared the streets at the sight of this yordle, though Betti herself just watched as the guy detonated a bomb of all things to keep himself from a hard landing and instead launch himself at an old building. He was only in there a few seconds before leaping out, and that building exploded.

And so, she watched as this yordle zipped around, launching himself with explosives, demolishing old buildings, structures, and walkways, and clowning on the Chem-Thugs that were chasing him. Betti found it intriguing, this strange combination of a fight, a fireworks show, and an acrobatic circus act all done by this one yordle.

It wasn't until that yordle fumbled a bomb and blasted himself in a wrong direction, landing at her feet, did he notice her. When he regained his bearings, he sat up, turned to her, and asked, "So... didya enjoy the show?"

"You certainly have a way with explosives, sir," she replied coolly.

He hopped to his feet, dusted himself off, and offered a hand. "Name's Zigmund--Ziggs for short. How ya doin'?"

Betti stared at the hand for a moment before giving it a shake. "My name is Bettani, and I am doing alright."

"Bettani, huh? Hope you don't mind me calling you Betti."

"You may do so, Zigmund."

Before their conversation could continue, the Chem-Thugs caught up with him, and Betti finds herself caught in the fight she was watching earlier. After a tussle involving some of Ziggs' cherry bombs and some of Betti's popping crystals and homemade pepper spray, they managed to get away, with the thugs now dealing with some slippery slime.

Ziggs takes her out for lunch, wanting to know more about the popping crystals (while Betti's curious about what he blew up to tick those thugs off), and it goes into a conversation about her occupation as an alchymist and what exactly she's doing. All he gets is that she's heard of a 'slime monster' in the Sumps, and she wants to find it (he's heard the rumors about the slime monster, among other monsters down there). Not wanting this little lady to go alone, facing a lot of dangers that come with descending the fissures, he offers to help as a bit of extra firepower. She agrees... but she doesn't want him to blow up the specimen.

After a bit of preparations for the rest of the day and a good night's sleep, the pair head off down into the depths of Zaun, ready to face the dangers in every corner--be they more Chem-Thugs, a cyborg werewolf, a mutant plague rat, a lumbering, braindead purple-skinned "doctor", or even the thirst for vengeance that could drive Betti to do something heinous. And that last one is what concerns Ziggs the most as the journey goes on.

For the ask game: Director's commentary on "Good Rich Earth"? I loved that take on retelling Secret Garden, and would love to hear anything you have to say about it!

Since I've already commented on the story itself, I'll comment on ideas about/barriers to expanding it.

I've gotten some lovely feedback on this one, and several people who are invested in The Secret Garden as a story who would probably be interested in seeing more.

I doubt I'd be interested in writing a full retelling. My imagination doesn't tend toward writing retellings of classic novels. I like retelling fairy tales because you can flesh out the world and the characters of a very basic plot outline, but a novel already has those things fleshed out, so it's harder to tell where the line is between "this is thoughtfully exploring a different take on the novel" and "this is a completely different story".

Like, with this, I've set up the premise of The Secret Garden in a sci-fi world, and you can assume that Mary's arc follows the same beats as the original novel, just with extra sci-fi, so I feel like a full retelling would be kind of redundant.

Except for the fact that there are a lot of characters who don't show up in that initial one-shot, and it could be interesting to see how they translate to a sci-fi world.

I was so close to writing a piece from Colin's point-of-view--his mother died giving birth to him, and he would have died, too, except he was kept alive with cyborg technology, but because of this, he feels that he's not a real person, just a body kept unnaturally alive by a machine. But then my writing time that weekend vanished and I lost the details that I wanted to include, and I'm not sure I can recapture what I wanted the story to be.

I have no idea what to to with Dickon. He's pure Nature Boy, and I don't know how to alter that to/fit that into a science fiction world. Can he just be Friend To All Animals and never touch technology? Does he know a lot about how things were before the apocalypse, maybe know some of the science behind Mrs. Craven's work, and can thus guide Mary in her efforts to restore the garden?

Similarly with Mrs. Sowerby--she's there to be a good mother, which looks pretty much the same whether you're in a Victorian or a science fiction landscape, and I'm not sure how I'd fit her into this new setting in a way that feels similar to the original without being the same.

Also, Mr. Craven. He keeps getting pushed to the edges of this idea. No idea how he'd fit in.

So anyway, there's potential to explore further, and the world needs more cozy science fiction, so I'd love to do a couple more pieces set in this world, but I doubt I could turn it into a full retelling.

my time has come!

so i would like to ask about the use of the word "cyborg," both in TFS and in FF7R with regards to chadley. i've seen there be a lot of confusion between 人造人間 and 改造人間 (what with the androids in DBZ actually being cyborgs, for instance) that i want to know: are we dealing with a term that implies a cybernetic modified human, or a fully human-looking robot?

So, from what I can gather:

“人造人間” is quite literally “artificial human” and therefore implies that Mr. Chadley is indeed a fully human-looking robot. I don’t believe ��cyborg” is the best term in English to use for the little guy, because that implies he may have been a half-human, half-robot mix as we are used to thinking of when we hear “cyborg.”

He should be referred to as an android, as in a robot with a human form. Very much like the replicants in Blade Runner or Ash from the film Alien.

“改造人間” in regards to Sephiroth is the term that fits more with “cyborg” and therefore translates well into English. The word seems to imply modification, or “remodeling.”

Sephiroth, being enhanced from the womb, could be called a cyborg loosely, but since most would likely assume this means he has robotic enhancements, it’s probably better to translate Glenn’s term as “modified human.”

But that doesn’t have the same impact, and within the story context, “cyborg” can sound more derogatory and like a proper insult. I suppose this is why it is the best translation with no other strong alternatives.

So yes, I believe Hojo is implied to have built a robot and then he gave it a human appearance, one that suspiciously resembles young Sephiroth with tousled silver hair and wide blue eyes.

I strongly suspect that Chadley was created by the writers to provide some more depth on the way Hojo saw his son. He wanted an enhanced prodigy that was bound to his own will, but neither Chadley or Sephiroth ever full-filled this wish.

This is a theory of course, but I find all these little hints odd, and Chadley being a robot with that specific look is interesting.

I Was Thinking That He Was One Of My Earliest (And All-Time) Favorite Characters In Netflix. He First Showed Up As The Superintendent That Erica Said In Episode 12 (Season 1). He Became A Traitor To George And Harold Because He Found Melvin At The End Of The Episode, Trusted Him That He Will Go The "Super Smart School Of His Dreams" (Says George At The EP12 Recap) And Furthermore, Fires Mr. Krupp & Expells The Boys So He Can Stay At Jerome Horwitz Elementary School. Before He Stayed, He Tells The Boys To "Rearrange The Letters To Find My True Identity" (Superintendent Himself). As The Boys Rearranged, They Found A Minor New Character In The Show. As He Shows His "Awful" (Harold, S2 EP4) Look, The Boys Didn't Know He Had One (Which Is Being Held Again At The 5-Year Anniversary). In The S2 Credits, The Character's Name Is Undeniable. An Evil Cyborg Melvin From The Future Named Melvinborg (Full Name "Melvinborg Richard Sneedly"). He Invents The Teachertrons (Which Are Robots Whose Inventor Is A Robot) (Episode 1), The BNA-In-You 2000, The You-Want-Size-With-That 2000 (Which Is His Final Invention Along With Melvin), and so on. He was left by George and Harold trying to get Mr. Krupp back (Episode 2), didn't agree to meet him, and horrifyingly turns to a bee, which after he accidentally shooted Ms. Ribble (Episode 3). He asked Mr. Krupp to insert his Rank Tank 2000, became the judge of the "Advancimal" competition, extracted the bag of the lawn mower, and instantly knocked out by Poopacabra (Formerly Ratrick) (Episode 4). Eight Episodes Later, He Took The 4th Graders To His Tricky Final Exam, "Courtesy of this relevant comic". And An Episode Later After that, He turned to a hovercraft and Finally, No one else surely knew that he perished (but Mr. Krupp was happy to see him gone and to be principal again).

The real fight is about to begin

I was joking/not joking to a couple of people that Genos's next job might be advocacy for cyborgs. The recent batch of webcomic chapters expand on things most chillingly.

In chapter 149, we see Mr. Fuzzy intending to create a world in which unmodified people will not be able to survive:

Earlier, in chapter 147, we see Machine God Eguro explain to Zombieman about a world in which people no longer have free will.

Horrific. This plan needs to fail completely and their cyborgized victims either freed or allowed to perish, depending on what's been done to them. That's no way for a person to live.

However, this world is also full of cyborgs who chose to modify their bodies. They're going to be caught up in the inevitable backlash: either they're going to be seen as victims or as one-time oppressors.

Once he gets done with hunting for Metal Knight and the Rampaging Cyborg, life is only going to get tougher for Genos. His next challenge is already taking form.

Something TV Tropes noted was that if you want your audiences to think a character evil, just make them a cyborg. It has been refreshingly not true in OPM, where it's been more accurately noted that body modification is something a person has to a) really be committed to and b) have the means to do it. The relative societal privilege enjoyed by cyborgs is going to be ended by some very greedy individuals who think that having much means deserving more.

what if the guy, Karen met when she was younger, just had a hobby of turning children into hitman lol {Headcanon? Theory? Funsies chapter exploration idea!} I at least made 6 headcanon autistic traits over the span of a few rewatching the video and looking at autistic traits on websites. I was very worried how to write a meltdown, but considering most complaints about autistic headcanoning, as long as I dont excuse abuse for him being autistic like a normal person, than im fine.

and than I made 6 other headcanons that I made up in my own spare time, like how listens to music on repeat. Chapter I:

The origin

They say child hood is the best days of your life, yeah right more like a god damn living nightmare for me. I was born to a litter of kittens and we struggled to find food and where often attacked by wild foxes and badgers.

To make matters worse some English farmers would hunt us with shotguns for fun and one day they shot my mother and I screamed into the heavens in pain.

Father tried his best to keep us fed but he was abusive to us and drank alcohol which made the cold nights hard as he shouted and hit us.

Then one night the farmers came with mercenaries hunting us down along with the foxes in the night of blood.

I watched my brothers and sisters get killed along with my dad was I was only kitten of our litter left.

Just when I thought I had gotten away some men in hazmat suits captured me and dragged me into the back of a lorry full of science equipment.

My rage unleashed

I was in some kind of lab where they did sick experiments on us night after night. I watched as they injected chemicals into a captured wolf and some foxes they took from the same forest where they bagged me.

When I saw them did surgery on a fox to turn it into a cyborg monster that's when I unleashed my rage and I ripped out the head scientists neck “One of the creatures has breached containment, we need a kill team in here!” Screamed a scientist and I pounced on him and ripped his jugular out and he was covered in blood and guts.

I powered up feeling a flow of strange energy as I tore and ripped my way through all the scientists and escaped out of a window.

A new start

I woke up in a house with warm food and my wounds had been bandaged up.

Looking up I saw a woman and had two daughters “We took you in and healed you.” The woman smiled and it was the first time a human was nice to me.

One of the girls wanted to name me Mr Cuddles and I hated that but the woman smiled “XENOS would be a cool name for you cat.” And I liked it.

Over the weeks I got to name the family who lived up in the Scottish highlands in a fishing village called Lochmevin and I helped the lady catch fish which she let me keep sometimes.

On the boat one day we got attacked by a great white shark but I unleashed untapped power and clawed so hard it bled out and fled “Wow your really strong for a cat” the lady said petted me and I felt badass and sharks didn't mess with us again.

The pain of loss

There was fire all over town as buildings where burning down and there was an orange glow lighting the night sky! I panicked going outside to find out where the family where and I saw the mother and her girls dead and bloody on the streets “WHAT HAPPENED!” I thought to myself screaming in pain.

It was then some mafia guys in sunglasses where there with guns “Kill em all boys everyone in this town owes us money and will pay with their lives!” Said the head mafia goon.

I felt so much burning rage building up as I UNLEASHED MY SUPER FORM “kill the cat too leave nothing alive.” The mafia goon laughed and I jumped up and sliced him in half as the other mafia goons where frightened of me.

Burning with pure rage in my super form I killed every single one of them!

The next day I left after burying my adopted family with sadness.

My catboy human form unleashed

I had walked for weeks hungry and tired when I came across a Japanese shinto temple run by a strange kitsune “You seek growth don't you young cat?” The kitsune said and I was fucking shocked.

“WHAT THE FUCK YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ME!?” I shouted and she nodded.

She walked over to me kneeling down “That's right I am connected with the Goddess and can help you train to unlock your potential” She told me.

We started training over the days as I lifted weights and did meditation under a waterfall to unlock the power of my mind so I could use mana and magic.

After a week I learned to fight as well as use magic and ki growing even more powerful plus I started working out with the most heaviest metal.

Finally the kitsune brought me to the temple priests to see how strong I got and I powered up AND TURNED INTO MY NEW HUMAN FORM! Through I still had cat ears but now I had the true power.

I also went super easily which impressed the kitsune whose name is Soki.

Entering the world of work

I said my farewells to Soki and headed out to the world as I got on a plane to the United States getting a job in anti terrorism with the CIA. I got my first gun and went on missions to hunt down all kinds of bad guys.

The worst ones where the sickos who tried to groom people on discord so I tracked them down then ripped their skin off and made them lay in a salt pile while keeping them alive for days while also having Dobermann dogs eat their flesh “Come on boy its sicko meat on the menu today” I laughed as the dogs killed them.

I got my biggest mission yet, I had to kill Kim Jong Un so I got a cool silver sniper rifle with the really cool custom paint job which was super rare. It was easy for me to sneak into the DPRK and wait for my chance as I blew Kims out brains end putting an end to the dictatorship and allowing the CIA to bring freedom.

Using the money I earned I was able to buy my first buster sword which was a high carbon blade so it was really fucking strong and could cut through heavy armour pretty easily “Fuck yes!” I said swinging the blade.

The profound darkness

I was training when a man in red robes with a staff approached me “WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU BOTHERING ME WHILE I AM TRYING TO TRAIN TO GET STRONGER?!?!” I shouted at him because I was pretty fucking annoyed.

“My name is Garth LeVay and I can help you gain more power.” He said.

More training could be a good thing I thought “Alright I can give it a shot!” I said and decided to go to his cult temple.

There where men in red robes praying to some kind of being called The profound darkness and in the middle of the room was a black vortex as an evil sword rose from it “This is the blade Crystal pandemonium the ultimate weapon” said Garth as I picked up the blade feeling evil energy flow into me!

Suddenly my eyes turned a golden red and my hair a corrupted power “Haha I feel amazing!” I said giving into the power of the evil blade.

Suddenly I felt the devils power, that of profound darkness as I unleashed my anti super form and went on a rampage through the city killing thousands of people for fun and bathing in their blood while saying cursed verses.

The Crystal pandemonium blade continued to pour its corrupted satanic energy into me growing stronger with each kill “NO THIS ISN'T ME! FUCK YOU EVIL SWORD!” I roared ripping the sword away as I punched my chest pulling the evil corruption out and exploding it with ki energy.

I was low in energy as the sword and corrupted energy reformed into what looked like a double of me but with silver hair and a more girly outfit he was so lame “WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!”

“I am ZENOS your dark reflection and I shall bring chaos and suffering to the human race” He giggled.

Angry I drew my buster sword and cut him in half, he didn't expect that.

The future world and meeting Cinos the hedgehog

I went to a Taoist temple to meditate and purify myself completely of the evil swords influence finally restoring myself to normal. After that I went back to that satanic cult going super mode and killing them all, that will teach them for making me kill all those people against my will.

That's when I noticed a crack in time which grew into a portal and I was fell in through the vortex of time.

I crashed into a lake as I swam to the shore finding myself in a strange world “Hey dude whatcha doing in the water?” A red hedgehog asked me.

“I was walking through the city when this fucking portal opened and I ended up in this place!” I told the hedgehog.

He ran around and was real fast “That's mondo weird, anyway my name is Cinos the hedgehog one of the freedom fighters against the evil Doctor Ivan Baconman, who are you?”

“MY NAME IS XENOS!” I smirked.

Cinos did a cool flip “That's a way past cool name, you should join the north island military forces to help us fight the human kingdom being lead by Doctor Baconman.”

I accepted because this Doctor Baconman sounded like a real piece of shit and I needed missions to keep me busy while I was stuck in this strange world.

The military training school and a betrayal

Cinos introduced me to Felix the fox, Fist the echidna and the rest of his friends at the North island military training camp. They explained I was on the planet Parabus and Doctor Baconman an evil scientist took over the human religion becoming the new pope using it was a way to control stupid people as his army where wiping the lands and nature out.

Baconman had wiped out every kingdom leaving only the human west and the Northern forest kingdom lead by the furry military.

I trained to use every kind of fire arm and learning how to use tactical gear to become a better solder in the fight against Western empire and its religious goons serving Baconman.

Me, Cinos, Felix and Fist went on lots of missions together pushing back against the empires robots and zealots.

One night we where having a feast in the military base when Colonel Blackhawk our CO came in, he was a black wolf furry who I respected.

Or well used to respect at least.

“I hope you are enjoying the meal I have good tidings for you” Colonel Blackhawk said as he got everyone's attention.

Cinos seemed nervous “What's the news? I hope its mondo cool and we've finally beaten Doctor Baconman.” Cinos smiled.

“We are going to join Doctor Baconman and merge our army into his. In fact he is on his way here right now for the ceremony.” Said the colonel.

I slammed my fists on the table in fury “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? YOU WANT TO JOIN THAT FUCKING GOD DAMN MONSTER ASSHOLE DOCTOR IVAN BACONMAN WHAT THE FUCK!” I screamed at the colonel and everyone else was angry and upset too.

Cinos jumped on the table “Yeah colonel what the hell? That's way past uncool!”

Disappointed with us Colonel Blackhawk took out his magnum pointing it at me “Arrest these traitors they will be hung for treason!” The colonel said.

“Go fuck yourself!” I said and punched him so hard his jaw shattered then Cinos spin dashed him into a wall killing him.

Fist took care of the soldiers sent to arrest us “We need to escape before Doctor Baconman arrives here and its too late” Fist said and we escaped fighting through 100s of soldiers as we made it to the hanger and stole a jump jet.

“I can pilot this.” Said Felix and we flew away as we saw Ivan Baconmans fleet arrive in the Northern kingdom bringing an end to freedom on the planet Parabus.

Ah yes, the sci-fi android au that went in a very, VERY different direction from what I originally planned (assassin android Crowley and former assassin human Aziraphale going from enemies to friends to lovers, but I like this new one better cause Arthur is there. :D)

Warning: android Aziraphale looks a bit like Castor from Tron, Crowley is a cyborg, Arthur is just Arthur and we love him for that

"I can't believe you made me a birthday drink that actually tastes like birthday cake." Crowley said, taking a long sip. "And it doesn't make me want to throw up."

Arthur smiled at him from behind the counter. "I am an expert at my profession."

"Damn right you are." Crowley smirked.

The club was closed for the night, on account of it being Crowley's birthday, and Aziraphale stating he had a surprise for Crowley that he didn't want an audience for. So far, the android had not shown up and Crowley was a little worried.

"You sure he's here?" He asked, turning back to Arthur.

"I am very aware that Mr. Fell is currently in the building and is in his office."

"Then why hadn't he shown up yet? Does he have cold feet or something?"

"Considering that most of the heat his body produces is located in his chest and head, I would say that, yes, Mr. Fell has cold feet."

Crowley stared at Arthur before snorting and then laughing hard. "Damnit, Arthur, one day you're gonna have to learn what a phrase is."

Before Arthur could reply, the doors opened and Aziraphale came into the room, holding something in his hands while his robotic arms walked him to the bar. "Sorry that took so long, I had to wrap it exactly to how I see fit."

And that meant that it looked perfect, not a crease or corner out of place. It was wrapped in gold foil with a silver ribbon tied up around it. "This is for you, enjoy."

Crowley rolled his eyes at the bluntness of Aziraphale's words, but he knew better by now that this was just how Aziraphale was. In an act of spite, he tore open the paper without much thought and looked at the little box now in his hands.

Looked like a jewelry box, which had Crowley curious. He didn't really wear much, sometimes the metal in rings and bracelets reacted weirdly with his cyborg arms, or got caught in the joints. He opened the box and started at the key and little keychain attached to it.

"I hope you like." Aziraphale stated. "It's a gift from Arthur and I."

"You... you got me a car?" Crowley asked.

"Not just any car." Arthur spoke. "A Bentley. Very rare model, a classic from the 1930s, the one you told me was your dream car and- oh dear, you seem to be crying. Did we do wrong?"

Crowley sniffed and rubbed at his eyes. "N-no, fuck, you did nothin' wrong...! You got me a fuckin' car for my birthday!"

"Yes?" Aziraphale raised an eyebrow. "Is that the right- oof!" Suddenly his arms were full of a sobbing Crowley, who was thanking the two of them over and over.

Crowley got his precious Bentley from his rich boyfriends. And then he promptly drives it over 90 miles an hour down Oxford Street and nearly makes Aziraphale pass out from how terrifyingly fast the old car can go.
