Most hits: Calm Waters Run Deep, or CWRD, with 146,084 hits (as of today) which is just…? I don’t even know, guys. It’s one of the shortest multi-chapter works I’ve ever posted, so for it to be pushing 150k views across only 11 chapters (and its, you know, six years old) is just nuts to me. I keep hearing that people are finding it rec’d on reddit? Which, also, blows my poor mind. I love that it is so loved. Writing that probably saved my life.

Second most kudos: The Quiet River Rages, tQRR, which is part 3 of Trouble the Water (CWRD, part 1, has the most kudos). I feel like Trouble the Water is just what I’m going to be known for, as a fic writer, and I am totally down for that.

Third most comments: CWRD again, with my #3 spot for comment threads! tQRR has more comments, which makes sense (since a lot of people wait and comment at the end) but my #1 here is Keep to the Stars, which makes my heart glad. I’ve got over 200 comments on Chapter 11 of CWRD, and my favorites are where someone wanted to say SOMETHING ELSE but got short-circuited by the cruel way I ended the chapter. This is also why I have a “tears of my readers” mug.

Fourth most bookmarks: Remember the Spring, the middle installment of TtW and one of my only one-shots. TQRR (#3) and CWRD (#1) also show up here, with KttS as #2. I’m actually stupendously proud of Remember the Spring, and I’m going to be revisiting this style for the totk fics I’m writing I plan to write this winter. I have them outlined and they’re written in my HEAD doesn’t that count?

Fifth most words: Okay so I’m verbose. The #5 spot is Loved and Lost with 90k. I have 1.3 million words on AO3, I’m a wordy bitch. I almost went through and edited the hell out of Loved and Lost so it would be closer in length to Lost and Found (the other half of that fic) but @kathsilver helped talk me out of it. Thanks again for that, kath. <3  My top 4 all have 100K+ (Steel Your Heart at 105k, Higgins’ Song [my beloved][my favorite child][do me a favor and go read about Higgins] at 152k, and Will to Live [god I miss Twitch imma go read that this weekend] at 186k). But my monster is Keep to the Stars, at over a quarter-mil (290k). And honestly it should have been longer, Steel Your Heart should have just ran right along with it but I started writing before the DLC dropped so it is what it is.

Going to sound like a loonie who deserves to be locked away but: warriors should end with the clans getting rid of the code and maybe their lifestyle while we're on it. Like, I know that's basically their rules and you can't have a society without rules. But honestly, it's been proven by many occasions that the code does more harm than good Hollyleaf going beserk? "The leader's word is the warrior code" this sounds like a recipe for a dictator to come to power but alright I guess. Lets just pretend Tigerstar didnt happen.

I wish I could excuse all of this, but the more I think about Warrior Cats worldbuilding as a whole, the less it seems like a community dedicated to help one another and it begins to look more like a cult, right with the xenophobic views on clanless cats and other minor groups like Sisters. I wish we had more characters that openly question their lifestyle and their rules. More characters like Nightpelt, who actively question Starclan. Imagine if we had a leader character that went against the code to help other cats in need, clan cats or not. More anarchistic characters. Heck, maybe even characters that get fed enogh with code bullshit and ditch the clan lifestyle altogether.

but anyway, just gonna say this: If your rules in your story bring more harm than good, maybe you should reform them.

I absolutely cannot sum up their whole deal succinctly since they’re part of a 4 year long campaign but SPARKNOTES

-Cleric of Ilmater

-Orphan, raised by nuns

-Older sibling with some serious attachment issues about it (this has lead to friction and a strained relationship with their sister which they are working on mending)

-Very odd relationship with faith and their god (Ilmater) that is entwined with their self worth and ability to connect with others

-Valentine is a healer but they’re also a low empathy person with few social skills. They sometimes use the act of healing as a surrogate- they perform the physical aspects of care and empathy instead the emotional ones.

-Took a long time but they care very deeply for their party (alarm bells blaring that say “ DANGER: WILL CROSS ANY MORAL LINES FOR THEIR LOVED ONES EVEN WHEN THEY SHOULDN’T”)

-They don’t feel strongly about gender and won’t correct people on pronouns, just using whatever fits the situation.

If Surachai goes by Dartboard, then Greer Morrison is his bullseye. He is her ride-or-die, her closest friend and confidant, who she can trust to keep his mouth shut. Since he was five years old, Surachai has been by Greer's side, and the two grew up together. They had a "public" falling out when Surachai went to rehab for the first time, but privately, they continued their close and intense friendship. She told him everything, and Surachai repeated nothing. While Surachai is no longer in the limelight with the Golden Girl due to his scandalous past and her keeping up appearances, he was her unfailing chaperone whenever Greer was in the mood to freefall in the dark. They were practically partners in crime. Before she was Golden, she was Greer. Only a few people knew about it, and fewer speak of it. But the basic idea is that Starclan and all the spiritual stuff is at the lake, where the alliance originally resided. Also, leaders can only get 9 lives from the moon pool. How does it still look like they have nine lives in the forest territory? Well. Yknow berserkers. The Viking guys. And how they had ‘special mushrooms’ that would up their attack stat by 20? A mixture of that with a blood clotting agent, and it looks like 9 lives!

but anyways. Since the 4 founders are also now (pseudo)gods, the energy that they produce causes the kittens born around them(the lake territory is the range) to have special traits. Daisy and her kits actually have full grown traits cause they lived there their whole lives. Constant exposure to this energy will make you grow ‘smaller’ traits. For example, Raven(call) growing feathers along his spine and paws.

Fun fact: this is actually scarily similar to one of OFND’s very first drafts?? Originally the valley was going to be an oasis within a desert whose sands were charged with radiation, and living within the oasis offered protection, as the plants soaked up that radiation before it could reached whomever lived within it. Those who wandered the waste, though? Fully exposed.

Also I am in LOVE with the idea of them getting a surge of strength from mushrooms like beserkers… it kind of reminds me of that herb from the original Black Panther movie!! Plus it ties into the lore of the world so nicely… obsessed.

invasive mammals of florida: could i defeat them

this list is taken from wikipedia. the fight is 1v1, bare handed, bare assed, bare arena with no guile and full intent to kill. my predictions are as follows

BROWN & BLACK RAT

a rat is rat sized, and i am human sized. i think a rat has a lot of wile and more bravery than the average human man, but despite my many shortcomings the size difference is too much to ignore.

CHITAL

a male chital (a spotted deer endemic to india) gets three feet tall at the shoulder and can weigh up to 165 lb. its antlers are three feet long. rearing up on its hind legs, a chital would both outweigh and outmeasure me. while i do have the advantage of being a horrible omnivorous ape with grasping hands and a beserker's soul, i do think the chital would kill me. a comforting thought is that i'm sure it would be very, very close, and the chital would die soon after.

COYPU / NUTRIA

this herbivorous rodent is like a little beaver rat. frankly i hate having to fight it, because not only does it look very friendly, but something in my hindbrain tells me it can be truly evil. but i am homo sapiens, and evil knits my sinews to my bones. this thing gets two feet long and tops out at like 30lb. that's like a four year old human. could i kill a four year old? the grim but damning question is this: what grown man couldn't?

HOUSE MOUSE

why am i fighting so many rodents? rodents have never done anything bad to me. i like rodents, generally. a pointy nose and big ears are just so appealing, no? anyway. i could beat the shit out of this mouse and if push comes to shove, i will.

god forgive me for even saying this but i could easily defeat a cat in one on one unarmed combat. i would blow this whiskery little shit out of the water. yeah im gonna bleed, yeah its gonna be horrible for me, yeah i'll carry this burden for the rest of my days. okay whatever. i would live another day

RED FOX

so right off the bat, i want to say yeah, no, thats just a little dog, i could take that. but the mythological hype surrounding the fox gives me pause. people are scared of this thing. and why? it's fluffy, it has eyeliner, it yells a lot. many humans have these traits. but the fox has a certain vulpine je ne sais quoi that makes me wonder if i could actually successfully fight this thing. lars von trier chaos reigns trickster spirit etc etc. i will tentatively say yes, i could beat it, just because i'm a full grown man and that's a little ginger doggie, but i don't feel confident about it.

RHESUS MACAQUE

i'm gonna beef it jesus christ look at its teeth. do you remember the scary fast zombies in i am legend with will smith? this is like that, except it doesnt care about the sunlight at all. incidentally, an indie perfume house i like recently discontinued their line of cologne called macaque, inspired by the scents of japanese mountains where so many macaques make their home, which is a real shame because i wanted to order a sample. anyway! a macaque would kill me in hand to hand combat.

NINE-BANDED ARMADILLO

this thing reminds me of a wise grandfather i never knew. its perennial squint, its sweet, sparse hairs, the way its tough hide resembles my favorite cast-iron teapot... this is my first time seeing this animal and i love it to bits. unfortunately, i have complete confidence that i could curbstomp this thing. i could crack it open like a shrimp and make it cry uncle. i just looked it up and apparently they attack by kicking, and BOY, if i kick this thing it will be with the righteous mania of someone who hasn't gotten to play soccer in a long, long time. i will defeat it.

SAMBAR DEER

why is that thing so buff? 😰 bro call me a defeatist but i dont even want to think about fighting a sambar deer. definitely not. i'm gonna lose this one so fucking bad like i'm gonna need a closed casket funeral. it's over for me. look how YOKED this thing is?? and how SMALL its hooves are? how much weight and power is concentrated into a single one of those sharp little hooves? this is absolutely not someone i'd want to run into at the grocery store

Ito had been gone for five minutes.

One of the sofas had collapsed so they had decided to drag it out into another room to scrap later, and by the time they had come back, Kuroki had apparently decided to adopt the tiny monster that had tried to kill them not even a few hours prior.

Kinda makes them worry about what Enma was doing, it had been a while since they’d last seen him, but they’re not going to think about that right now.

Ito sighed. “Okay, why is Grim here?”

“Cleaning,” said Kuroki. Grim held up his feather duster as if agreeing.

“That is not –.” They shook their head with a deep sigh. “That monster literally tried to kill us. Over clothes.”

“How is this the thing you’re normal about?” complained Kuroki.

“I need at least six days before I forgive people for attempted murder,” Ito deadpanned.

The moment they turned their exhausted gaze on Grim, who had been, wisely, quiet this entire time, the monster’s eyes welled with tears. “Don’t be mean, human! Ain’t you going to ask what I’m doin’ here? That’s what you people do, right? Talk about feelings and stuff? It wouldn’t kill you to listen to me!”

Ito took a step back in surprise. How was the monster making them feel bad about being wary of someone that had attacked them?! How was that fair?! It actually might kill them to listen to him!

Grim must have taken their stunned silence as a cue to go on, because he pressed a hand to the white fur of his chest:

“I was born to be the greatest mage who ever lived! So I’ve been waitin’ and waitin’ for that black carriage to come for me…” The cat-like slant of his eyes lowered in apparent sadness. “For so long… but that Dark Mirror has no eye for talent! Was it really wrong of me to take initiative and come here myself?”

“Oh, Grim, that’s…” said Kuroki, frowning.

“Yeah…” Ito agreed quietly.

Only for them to whip around to glare at Kuroki as a realization hit them: “Hold on, you didn’t know either? Why’d you let him in, then?!”

“I don’t know! He’s cute!” Kuroki tried to defend himself. Emphasis on the word tried.

But Ito just shook their head and allowed it. The monster didn’t seem all that intent on hurting them now that they weren’t in the way of him getting into his coveted school, so they weren’t in danger.

Besides, the flames from his ears made for steady light in a place with light fixtures so dim and muted by grime they may as well have been off.

Speaking of his ears, Grim jumped when a drop of water hit him in the head. “Gah! Can’t either of you magic away these leaks? These flaming ears are my trademark, y’know! Can’t have ‘em getting doused!”

“Forgetting something?” Kuroki said, rolling his eyes.

Grim’s forlorn expression quickly contorted into a smirk. “Ah, that’s right! You can’t use magic! You guys are kinda useless, aren’t you?”

“Well, why don’t you fix them, then?”

“I don’t work for free. Now, if you had a couple of tuna cans, then we could talk.”

Ito doubted that he knew how to do anything but spew fire, but they figured arguing the point wasn’t worth it. The leaky roof wasn’t going to deal with itself and, if Grim wasn’t going to help, then it was up to them.

They set some buckets and spare pots under the leaks in the ceiling. Maybe they could even use the rainwater to mop if they managed to get enough of it, since the chances of the water being okay in a place like this were close to zero. Gotta love efficient thinking.

Except, strangely enough, one of the pots tipped over the moment they turned their back to it, shattering on the floor and spilling shards and water over the floor.

Ito frowned. They hadn’t thought that it had been on an unsteady floorboard.

Kuroki glanced up at the sound and his eyes blew wide at whatever he saw over Ito’s shoulder.

Uh oh. Please don’t be the monster going beserk again.

…

… okay, well, good news! It wasn’t Grim!

That was pretty much the only good thing that was going on right then, though.

Because staring right back at them was a shimmering, silver ghost with pale blue eyes. The top hat atop its head might have made things less scary if said head wasn’t currently tucked under their arm like a football.

An ungodly screeching sound left their lips and it took a hand grabbing them by the back of their shirt to get them moving. Kuroki dragged Ito close. Probably as a shield, to be honest.

“Heehee!” The ghost giggled, two fingers coming to rest over his mouth as if trying to hide its amusement. “Oh dear! It seems I’ve made a mess! What a shame!”

Okay…  so, maybe it was just a Peeves-like figure? Meant to be annoying and nothing more?

“Welcome to our castle! Stay a while!” The pupils in his eyes disappeared. “Stay forever!”

Nopenopenopenope.

Ito grabbed a nearby candlestand and brandished it like a weapon. Hopefully the ghost couldn’t tell they had no idea how to use it.

The ghost giggled again, jamming his head back onto his body until the only hint that it wasn’t attached was a thin line of blue light.

Grim launched themselves at Kuroki for help. He caught the ball of fur on instinct, only to regret it as sharp claws dug into his skin through the fabric of his ceremonial robes. He hissed quietly and backed up in surprise, tumbling towards the ground.

But the two of them were caught, shockingly.

Kuroki opened an eye cautiously when they didn’t hit the ground and found that the person that had caught them wasn’t a person at all.

Another ghost, this one tall and thin, stretched over them and peered into their faces.

And then, to Ito’s surprise, Kuroki twisted in the ghost’s grip and swung on him.

Even stranger, the ghost doubled over as Kuroki’s fist made contact with his stomach, a pained wheeze leaving it as it floated back a few ‘feet’ to get away from his assaulter.

Grim dropped to the ground and curled up in a tight ball, paws over his head. Kuroki took a few stumbling steps back, more than willing to help put some distance between himself and the ghost.

“How rude!” The thin ghost said, voice still a little breathy from the punch. “We were only greetin’ our guests. It’s been so long since we’ve had visitors.”

The ghosts were circling their group, though they were careful to stay just out of reach after the first punch (hopefully it would stay that way). Kuroki and Ito backed into each other and did their best to adapt to the fact that they were definitely being cornered. Kuroki swept a leg out, hooking the toe of his shoe around Grim and sliding him into their ‘protective’ circle.

“Yes, yes! Make yourselves at home!”

“We’re just itchin’ for new friends!” The tall ghost stretched even taller, looming over them. “Why don’t you join us, hm?”

Ito tried to smack him upside the head with their candlestick holder for getting too close, but it phased straight through him. Damn it. 

Grim whimpered a little.

Both humans looked to the tiny ball of fur curled between their feet. Quick as a flash, Ito chucked the candlestick holder at the nearest ghost – it didn’t manage to spear them like they intended, sadly, it just phased right through it again, but it did shock him into backing up a few steps – and then pushed Grim out of the circle.

“Do the fire thing.”

“I’m not your –!”

“Grim, there are ghosts, this isn’t the time to be cross!” Kuroki hissed.

Grim let out a yelp of surprise at the normally quiet person’s outburst, licks of flame spilling from his mouth.

The monster, somehow, despite the close proximity, managed to miss. It was almost impressive. Maybe it would have managed to actually be impressive if flames weren’t currently chasing the trails of dust still on the floor, webbing along in an intricate pattern that made moving their legs risky.

The headless ghost put his hands on his hips, carefully picking its way through the flames to get closer. “Now, now, no need for violence. We just want some new ghost friends to play with!”

“Oh, so when you want to be violent it’s cool but when we want to suddenly it’s wrong,” Kuroki sassed the ghost. A bold move, considering they were still in danger and Grim was apparently not going to be of help, but Ito kind of respected it for its idiocy.

Ito sighed and nudged Grim again. “Master sorcerer! Do something!”

Unfortunately, even stroking his already massive ego did little to help Grim’s aim. The next shot he made breezed past the nearest ghost before continuing on its merry way. Flames lapped at the curtains on a nearby window.

“When they said ‘do something’ I don’t think they meant ‘set the dorm ablaze’!” Kuroki groaned.

Grim puffed up, though it was unclear whether this was in indignation or because he was preparing another fireball. “Quiet! I don’t need lip from you, human!”

Kuroki sighed. “Fine! Fine! Beat them and I’ve got a can of tuna with your name on it!”

The tall ghost reached long, clawed fingers for them.

“Two!” Kuroki corrected himself quickly. “Two cans of tuna!”

“You’re right,” said Grim, who seemed to be steeling himself. “I’m The Great Grim! I’m not afraid of any dumb ghosts!”

He shot another fireball and this one, while still missing pretty badly, came closer than the others had. The ghost backed up in apparent surprise.

But Ito had been watching closely this time, and they quickly realized the problem:

“Are you actually trying to do this with your eyes closed?”

“Shut up! Just… tell me where to shoot and I’ll do it!” Grim yelled.

Ito clenched their fists in irritation but Kuroki was apparently far more adaptable than they were, because he said, “Fine! On your left!”

And, like that, they became Pokemon trainers. Ito couldn’t say that this was how they expected the night to go, but it was still not as weird as having a hand reach through your mirror to drag you to another world, so they were hardly as phased as they should have been.

The ghosts were forced to back away to avoid getting murdered (? Can ghosts die a second time?).

Just when their group of living beings was finally getting the upper hand, another ghost phased through the ceiling, the upper half of their slightly portly body poking through. He smiled at his friends as they tried their hardest to avoid getting burnt to a crisp.

“If you’re done messing with these two, the person up here is way more fun.”

The ghosts didn’t think twice, floating straight up to get away from them.

Kuroki breathed a sigh of relief, his shoulders finally relaxing. He looked around at the, frankly, ruined kitchen. “Man, all of these fires are going to be so annoying to put out –.”

Ito barely heard him. They were too busy grabbing Grim by his collar and racing towards the nearest staircase.

“Enma!”

Doesn't reflectdoll, miraculer and Thomas twitter Post over cataclysm debunk the theory complet. As I remember Thomas stating that cataclysm does the worst thing if hit wirh it ( and not just destroys, even if destruction is the worst thing that can Happen to things) and miraculer cataclysm was the Real deal. Even if he was chat noir the worst thing that could happen to him, if he was a senti, is breaking the link with his amok and him going beserk. I mean we had established in reflectdoll(even if i hate this episode,with both learning the wrong Massage in my opinion) that the worst thing what could happen to a senti is losing control.

Oh believe me I thought of that.

And trust me, the whole "The cat miraculous protected from breaking the link" is BS.

BUT if I had to think. And witht he logic of it doing the worth thing.

Adrien doesnt know he is a sentimonster. And if he did, Breaking the link would be GOOD LUCK, not bad luck. If Cataclysm is meant to only be misfortune. then the worst thing that could happen to Adrien would be that it breaks his ribs or makes it hard to fight.

I mean the alternative is that Human sentimonsters cant go berserk and thus get hurt the same as regular humans getting cataclysmed.

It clearly says in the fic that Thomas wants people to think he doesn't love Alexander because he's afraid it will make him seem weak or that people won't take him seriously. Yes it's stupid and irrational but it's what he's scared of

2. This is an A/B/O fic. So yes obviously there is going to be scenting and growling. Hormones and pack dynamics and whatnot. So yes there is possessiveness and agressivness while Alexander is the soft delegator. It's their alpha/omega roles not some toxic male controlling his fiance.

3. Also you're also forgetting the consent part of this fic. Alexander agreed to this kind of treatment, Thomas didn't lie to him, he told him how he was going to be before he even proposed. Alexander finds it endearing, there are SEVERAL examples of that in the fic. He may be annoyed with Thomas being overly worrisome but he knows that he loves him and he loves Thomas and he's perfectly fine with dealing with it. And Thomas is even trying to be better.

4. As for treating Alexander like an object, keep in mind that Thomas has never been in love before and now this man is going to be his husband. He covets him, AND ALEXANDER DOESN'T CARE. They love each other, Alexander understands him which is another thing Thomas loves about him.

And again CONSENT. Alexander isn't some poor helpless thing. Yes in the fic it's the alpha that makes the decision but thats because this is a royalty AU, and historically kings are the ones who made most of the decisions. Even if Thomas "chose" Alexander, their relationship didn't have to turn into love. It truly could have been a marriage of convenience, or they could have been miserable with each other, but they built a relationship, a good one and Thomas is bettering himself.

so i kinda dropped off the internet a bit because ngl, my summer has been kinda hell

tldr : some one important to me died, my cat had to go to the urgent care and needs a medical presecure done to save him, and i am incredilly sick and financally not so stable

so with that all in mind, i drew Jamie in beserk hisui zoroark form because it’s my obsession and mom says i get to hyperfixate on it when im sick

im stuck between wanting it to be a beserk form he can tap into, or him having to die first to be able to use the form, but either way is genuinely good to me
