warnings; black widow spoilers!! mentions of past abuse, trauma and experimentation
a/n; tooth rotting fluff bcs i am forever and always soft for natasha romanoff!! hope yâall enjoy this~ feedback is always appreciated <3
i know you get me, so i let my walls come down // you brought me to life
growing up as a hydra experiment meant you had a pretty nonexistent childhood. the team believed that it was your shared lack of childhood that allowed you and natasha to be so close. the team werenât all wrong, the fact that both of you had a similar past definitely helped you have a deep mutual understanding of each other. but it was also the thrill of it all, because when you were together, you both felt so free, so alive. you felt things for and with natasha that you never even knew the name of.
natasha has seen you at your worst, literally. beaten and close to death in a hydra cell was not the kind of first impression youâd wish to have with anyone. youâve seen her at her worst too, when sheâs so overcome with emotions that her automatic response was to shut down. but you never pushed, you just made sure you were there, ready to give her whatever she needed or wanted. turns out a lot of times she just wanted to be held, your arms were her safe space. both of you had your walls built high but when it was just the two of you, the walls came tumbling down and you knew that no one else would see you like natasha did.
now every february youâll be my valentine // no regrets, just love
you used to hate february, because it was the month you got adopted by hydra agents with the promise of a family but instead you were made into an experiment. ironically, you were saved on the 14th of february, something you didnât learn until you were dragged out by natasha to go shopping for a gift for yourself. she explained that she wanted to commemorate the one year mark of you being rescued and joining SHIELD, who were you to say no? as if you could ever say no to natasha to begin with.
you ended up getting your ears pierced and went home with a pair of emerald green gem earrings which reminded you of natashaâs eyes. you never took them off, not until she gave you another pair of earrings a year later, just that it was no longer just the anniversary of you meeting, it was also a valentineâs day gift. it became a trend, for her to get you earrings every year on the 14th of february. except for the one year she pulled out a ring whilst on one knee to propose. of course you said yes, no regrets, no hesitation because it was natasha and when you were with natasha all you could feel was love.
you and i, will be young forever // you make me feel like iâm living a teenage dream
it was safe to say that your inner child came out when with natasha. with the others, you were always hesitant to act out that way in fear of being judged. but for some reason unknown to you, it was never like that with natasha. while the red room took away most of the redheadâs childhood, natasha clung to several memories from her time in ohio or when she was sent undercover for certain missions as child. she knew that unlike her, you were kept in a cell, the most normal thing you experienced was the classes you had with other kids, kids who eventually didnât survive hydraâs experiments.
so natasha made it a point to do things with you, bringing you to amusement parks, arcades and all the fun things you had missed out on. not only does she enjoy seeing your childlike wonder, being able to bask in such moments of normalcy feels like a dream most days.
letâs run away and donât ever look back
loud laughter echoed through the halls as you ran away from wanda who was hot on your tail. you had stumbled onto her cuddling into vision, fast asleep whilst the android was watching a sitcom. you had snapped a picture but accidentally left the flash on, so now wanda was chasing you down to get you to delete said picture.
you made a sharp turn and collided straight into natasha who was quick to steady you. when you heard your best friendâs shouts way too close for your liking, you hurried behind natasha, using her as a human shield. wanda rounded the corner and she gulped visibly when she natasha standing there, an amused smile on her face.
ânatttt, y/n took an unflattering picture of me!â wanda whined as she glared at you. you rolled your eyes in response.
âit was a cute picture!â you defended yourself, arms snaking around your fiancĂŠeâs waist, knowing wanda wouldnât dare cross the redhead. natasha just shook her head as she prepared to play peacemaker between the two of you, this happened more times than she could count but she also knew you and wanda would go back to normal within a couple hours or so. the two of you always acted like siblings, teasing each other and getting the other riled up.
my heart stops when you look at me
it was finally the day. after months of planning and praying that no alien invasion would disrupt your wedding, you were finally getting married to natasha. it was a simple ceremony, just the two of you and the avengers family as well as natashaâs family. when natasha received the strange red color vials from yelena, she was quick to track down her younger sister. much to the teamâs annoyance, natasha insisted that she wanted to do it alone only allowing you to tag along because god knows what you wouldâve done if natasha snuck out behind your back. you and yelena became fast friends, and after the red room was properly destroyed she was recruited into the avengers.
now, as clint walked you out of the back door of tonyâs lake house to where the ceremony was being held in his backyard, you couldâve sworn your heart stopped in that very moment. natasha was dressed in a beautiful white dress, it was simple and fit her body beautifully. natasha took one look at you and willed herself not to cry, you looked absolutely breathtaking and she couldnât believe that you were hers.
i finally found you, my missing puzzle piece // iâm complete
the ceremony went smoothly, and now it was time for the vows. natasha gave hers first, and her grip on your hands was tight as she spoke. when she was done, you were quick to pull her hands up to your lips to plant a soft kiss on her knuckles. taking a deep breath, you started on your own vows.
ânatasha romanoff, i vow to be with you through all the good and the bad. to be with you at our happiest times and also at our lowest. you saved me all those years ago, at a point in time where i thought that being in a cell was going to be all my future had to offer. you saw something in me that not even i could see, you believed in me when i didnât even believe myself. everyday, you continue to save me, love me and for that i am so eternally thankful. i finally found the one person that makes life worth living, youâre the one that makes everything make sense, you are my missing puzzle piece. you complete me in a way i never thought plausible. so thank you for never giving up on me and i vow to be with you through it all, to always be with you whenever you need me. to make you your coffee just the way you like it or tea if itâs late and you want to relax. i will always treasure you and love you, thank you for being my everything, for forever and always.â
when the pastor finally pronounced you two as married, you met in a sweet kiss, tears slipping down both your cheeks.
in a lifetime where it felt like love and a life such as this was simply a dream, the two of you found each other and made dreams become a reality.

streddie going birdwatching hc's.
I love streddie my soft boys <3
Shout out to my streddie gc that helped me come up w some of these ideas, can't remember who came up with what bc the messages deleted but you guys are GENIUSES!!!
⢠At first, Stan doesnât really want them to come because heâs afraid theyâll be loud and disruptive and scare away the birds
⢠Eddie PROMISES that theyâll stay quiet
â˘Â âSpeak for yourself, Eds!â
⢠Eddie has to promise Richie lots of attention and kisses when they get back, but he gets him to come along and stay quiet
⢠Issue is, Richie didnât realize that you have to wake up before the sun for the best sightings and he IMMEDIATELY regrets agreeing to go when he wakes up to Eddie jumping on his bed screaming that Stanâs been ready for 10 minutes and is going to leave without them
⢠Stan wasn't actually going to leave without them
⢠He told them they needed to be there half an hour earlier than they actually did for this exact reason
⢠Eddie scolds Richie for making them late when they promised theyâd be good
⢠Stan doesnât tell them that theyâre right on time
⢠This is a huge deal for Stan
⢠Heâs never showed anyone his special place in the woods near the quarry
⢠He calls it his lucky spot because this is where he found a Tropical Kingbird
⢠He hasn't heard of any sightings of this species since itâs discovery in 1915 and the day he saw it, he ran home and woke up the boys to scream about how cool and rare and amazing and âoH MY GOD EDDIE WHAT IF IâM THE ONLY LIVING PERSON TO HAVE SEEN ONEâ
⢠Heâs not, but itâs definitely rare
⢠It was 8 in the morning and Richie couldn't even be mad that he was woken up because Stan was so happy
⢠When they finally reach his lucky spot, Richieâs buzzing with energy and has to physically bite his tongue to keep from speaking, but Stan and Eddie are holding both of his hands so heâs calming down
⢠Stan only lets go to set up on this big rock he always sits on
⢠Heâd refused to tell them what was so important in his Bird Bagâ˘
⢠Richieâs fucking shocked when Stan the Man pulls out this high tech, state of the art camera and tripod that he sets up quietly
⢠Next is the bird book
⢠Itâs filled with hundreds of species of birds indigenous to Maine and Stan has little tally marks next to the species heâs seen
⢠Eddie helps Richie occupy himself by teaching him to make flower crowns from some of the yellow violets growing nearby
⢠At first, Richie thinks itâs boring, but Eddie challenges him to make a better flower crown than he can and Richie ainât no bitch who backs down from a challenge
⢠That keeps him busy the entire time
⢠Eddie sits beside Stan on his rock and leans his head on his boyfriends shoulder while he looks through the book
⢠Eddie discovers the Mexican Violetear, which he dubs the prettiest bird in the world
⢠Stan disagrees and starts talking about all these different birds that Eddieâs NEVER heard of, but he smiles and listens anyway because he loves the excited glint in Stanâs eye and the animated hand gestures that he picked up from being with Richie for so long
â˘Â âWait, why does he get to talk!â
â˘Â âBecause he knows how to whisper, Rich.â
⢠Richie pouts at him, but all it takes is Eddie picking one flower to pretend heâs starting another crown for Richie to go back to trying to keep his own crown from falling apart
⢠When they see their first bird, Eddie gets all excited about it because he gets to share this with his boyfriends, but Stan flips to the page in his book to show Eddie the fifty tally marks beside that species
⢠Stan is Not Impressed, but he thinks Eddieâs excitement is absolutely adorable, so he ads another tally mark, but he draws a heart next to it because this is now Eddieâs Birdâ˘
⢠They donât see too many exciting species on their first trip, not that Stan expected to
⢠Eddieâs disappointed because he wanted their first birdwatching trip to be all memorable and for Stan to be completely in his element with the birds
⢠He doesnât know that Stan was in his element, because he was with his loves
⢠Richie finished exactly two and a half flower crowns (that didn't completely fall apart, heâd actually made a total of like 15)
⢠Eddie and Stan wore the flower crowns all the way back home
⢠Only Eddieâs flower crown actually MADE it home, but Stan wouldn't let him bring it inside because it was falling apart and leaves and petals were going everywhere and he JUST fucking vacuumed the carpet, dammit
⢠Richie says he was bored out of his mind, but they know heâs lying because Stan offers to just bring Eddie next time and Richie shuts that down real fast
⢠A year later, Richie has perfected his flower crowns and can make them perfectly in less than five minutes, interweaving different assortments of flowers and making beautiful crowns for his boys that Eddie and Stan wear proudly
⢠There are fifteen new species with tally marks beside them in the book, two of them extremely rare (Stan was so fucking excited about them and Eddie and Richie were practically swooning at the massive smile on his face)
⢠Eddie has developed a genuine interest in certain species and Richie jokes that heâs stealing Stanâs thunder
â˘Â âWe can't have two bird boys! That makes me the odd man out, Spaghetti! Youâre a traitor!â
⢠Just the three boys being soft and in love with their birds and flowers <3
Sorry this wasn't that great but I tried to do my research lol
Send in more requests! Asks open!

Okay I promised I would post this but I kept forgetting
Here it is! My comparison of The Adventure Zone Amnesty characters and Homestuck characters (under a readmore cuz its really long lmao)!!
Duck Newton and Dave Strider-
forced into the role of a hero that they reject due to personal reasons (duck believing hes not really supposed to be the chosen and dave bc of his bros abuse and how he looked up to him as a âheroâ)
also compare ducks âim just a regular dudeâ speech to daves âdave of guyâ speech
also are heavily headcanoned as trans due to their stories seeming to be a metaphor for being trans (duck lives as a regular guy his whole life before realizing hes not a âregularâ guy v daves problems with trying to live up to an impossible standard of masculinity set by his bro thats a #transthing)
honorable mention- cant lie for shit, sword
Indrid Cold and Karkat Vantas-
hide a very important part of themselves bc of fear of harm or death that would come as a result of it (mothman v mutant blood)
also have regrets that come from not being able to do anything in times of death even as they tried to stop it (point pleasant v gamzee vriska and eridan), leading them to be reclusive and only trust a few people or even nobody
honorable mention-red gay, obsession with a famous male celebrity (ryan gosling v troll will smith), alien, part insect
Aubrey Little and Rose Lalonde-
mothers death was a catalyst in powers coming to light
meets a girl and impresses her with magic (i dont have much for this sorry :pensive: )
Dani and Kanaya Maryam
meet girl with magic powers, fall in love
vampire
can pretend to be sensible but shes like >:3c inside (i also dont have much for this
ill do ships now because ned and boyds kinda go into that anyway and also neds is really complicated to write out lol
Indruck v Davekat: the story of a man who tried to save the world but failed and a man who didnt want to save the world but had to
Idk how indruck actually started out but i can imagine it was bc someone saw an interesting dynamic and ran with it
thats what happened with davekat too iirc!
it started as a crackship bc they didnt get along at first and were âfightingâ over terezi
but then it got popular
and then they were friends, etc etc
Rosemary v Vampfire
one of the first actually canon relationships (rather than just crushes or flirting)
girl meets alien girl
human girl has magic??
source of magic also connected to alien girl (doc scratch v sylvain [possibly])
alien girl is also VAMPIRE lesbian alien girl
its cute and good and we need more
also theres a connection with aubrey and kanaya as well, to connect aubreys sylvan magic
important heirloom passed down from mother figure right before/after her death
heirloom is lost/destroyed
must find a way to recreate/find heirloom as a part of characters story
ok. now the complicated one. this will be messy and probably hard to understand but its coming from my head so it was gonna be anyway
Ned Chicane and Vriska Serket (also Boyd Mosche and Terezi Pyrope)
they both did nothing wrong ON PURPOSE
weâll get into that
they both go on heists with a partner in crime (boyd v terezi)
causes harm to partner in some way (ned leaves boyd to get caught, vriska causes terezi to go blind)
partner gets their revenge later (boyd takes all of neds stuff, terezi literally stabs vriska in the back)
sees partner dead, causes them to go after villain (in vriskas case this happens before shes stabbed but a) time stuff, b) she lets it happen so terezi doesnt die)
thats all for ned and boyd, what about the rest? ok.
causes character to die/be hunted after (aradia v barclay) by their apparent counterpart (sollux v stern)
ned doesnt delete the video and agent stern comes to town v vriska is coerced into mindcontrolling sollux
BUT WAIT
ned didnt post the video
ned didnt show agent stern the video
vriska was still coerced by someone to second hand kill aradia
WHO DID IT??
kirby=doc scratch
kirby posts the video and shows it to stern in full (was it already cut down to erase barclay changing?? i dont remember)
doc scratch manipulates vriska into sending sollux to kill aradia
they both get blamed and get full responsibility pushed onto them for it evn though a) ned didnt know kirby did that and b) vriska was a child
THATS WHY NEITHER OF THEM DID ANYTHING WRONG ON PURPOSE. ITS NOT THEIR FAULTS BUT THEY STILL GET THE BLAME PUSHED ONTO THEM
also thacker=gamzee, billy=mayor, jake coolice=nobody because hes too wonderful to be compared to anyone in homestuck and also i love him, pigeon=nepeta (pete=equius?)
if you read all this ur a real one. yes i am an intellectual thank you.

Hey how about a bartender au!! Peter is working at a bar for some reason and Juno is a frequent customer...
âSir, Iâm not sureâŚâ tried Ernest Walter asa client asked for his fourth glass of rather expensive, rather inebriatingwhiskey.
âItâs fine.â Sighed the client. âVicky willput it on my tab.â
That was a weak excuse at best, anoutrageous lie at worse, but Ernest Walter was a mousy, nervous kid, new to thebusiness, and as much as he didnât want to get fired by his new boss, he wouldalso have been terrified of angering the man currently standing only a counteraway from him.
âAre you sureâŚâ
âListen kid,â the tone of the stranger wasbrusque, but Peter could tell he was trying to look as unthreatening aspossible. âI promise you, Vicky knows me. Hell, even if she didnât,sheâd sooner come after me than after one of her own, no matter how new or hownaive they may be. Now, if you really want to, you can call Todd on me as soonas you give me my drink, but please. Please. Please. Give me. Mydrink.â
âO⌠okay.â
Ernest fumbled with the glass bottleseventually managing to give the man his dose, maybe even a bit more than that.
What could Peter say? Heâd always been asucker for a beautiful face.
âThank you.â Said the client, in a gratefulbreath, before downing a good half of the drink.
Peter had to admit to being impressed. Hewas himself notably terrible at handling his liquor, but the man had justthrown back his three and a half whiskey with no problem, and while his movementshad gotten slower, he didnât seem to be nearly as wasted as Peter would haveexcepted anyone to be.
He would, of course, have loved tointerrogate this stranger, who seemed to be so totally out of place in VallesVickyâs establishment looking more like a common thug - with rough edges and anose crooked in a way that suggested it had been broken repeatedly - than thepolished clients Ernest Walter saw during the day. His cover wouldnât have feltthat way, however, not yet, and Peter couldnât afford to blow this up for onepretty face.
He caught sight of Todd across the room, coming back from the main public entrance. Ernest sent him a panicked glance, pointing a significative stare towards his scruffy client.
âJuno.â Todd said as he reached the bar.âWhy are you here?â
âHey Todd.â Juno said, glancing at Peterfrom the corner of his eyes. âFinished my job for Vicky. Figured I could checkout the perks before she sends me back.â
Peter carefully stayed focused on his work.He really hadnât pegged Juno for one of Vickyâs men. If heâd had to guess, heâdhave thought him to be some kind of down on his luck good-doer. A cop maybe.Rough but ultimately kind, which, admittedly, seemed to be a rarity in HyperionCity.
But it meant Peter could now justify gainingmore information on him. If Juno really was working with Vicky, then maybe, heâdbe useful to gather the information Peter needed.
âYou should go see her now,Juno.â
âYeah yeah, sure. I will. Just let mefinish my drink andâŚâ
Todd placed a huge hand down on Junoâsshoulder. It seemed to Peter that he was gripping him a bit tighter than was strictlynecessary.
The lady, getting more and more mysteriousby the second, sighed at that.
âFine. Going⌠goingâŚâ
He put a bill down on the counter even ashe was dragged away.
âThanks for the drinks, kid.â
Juno, Peter learned during his research, full name Juno Steel, was a former cop whose carreer had ended messily in a mysterious affair involving mafias, corruption, and worst of all, politics. Considering his previous record, though, it was entirely obvious that his demise was the result of a cover up, effective enough to attract Peterâs attention without revealing him much.
It seemed he worked with Vicky as a private investigator of sort, finding dirt on unpaying clients and grabby assholes, gathering informations on ennemies, and solving the right crimes at the right times to delete Valles Vickyâs concurrence.
He was, in a word, as clean as he could get away with while working for Vicky, and Peter couldnât help but wonder how heâd ended up helping an art smugler of all things. From what snippet of conversation heâd managed to hear here and there - bringing Vicky her wine at just the right time, loitering around her door when he wouldnât be missed, listening in through the tiny recording device heâd placed in the ventilation system - she liked Juno at least as much as he annoyed her. She kept yelling at him and threatening him, but from what heâd been able to gather, he was also an invaluable asset to her, and she trusted him with most of her business.
Juno was also, it seemed, incredibly paranoiac.
âSo, what did you tell Vicky?â
Ernest looked up fearfully at Juno. The skittish bartender was, for the most part, reassured about the clientâs character after a few weeks of not getting attacked doing his job, but Juno still cut an impressive figure, and Ernest was nothing if not impressionable.
âW⌠what?â
âDrop it, kid. This doesnât work on me anymore. Youâre always there when I come talk to her, and you may not look like it, but you listen to⌠just about everything I say, donât you?â He leaned in, causing Ernest to take a cautious step back. âSo, what do you say? Is this her way of making sure Iâm not going to, I donât know, betray her?â
He snatched the glass Enerst still hadnât given him, studying the bartender with eyes, percing enough that Peter felt as though maybe he would be able to find him under the layers heâd carefully applied to his self.
It sent a shiver down his spine, cold and burning.
âYouâre not a PI⌠I know those⌠A spy, maybe? But, why would you work for Vicky thenâŚâ
He took a gulp of his drink, still looking at Enerst through the distorted glass. The fretful man finally gathered himself enough to respond to the - frankly quite ridiculous - accusations.
âSir, I think maybe youâve had tooâŚâ
âUnless youâre not.â
âI⌠What?⌠Sir?â
âUnless youâre not. Working for her, that is.â
Enerst Walter was not entirely dumb, but he wasnât the smartest tool in the box, either.
âI⌠am? Sir. Iâm a bartender, you might have noticed.â
Peter, however, was following the conversation with interest. Juno was getting awfully close to figuring him out, and that would be a problem.
âWhatâs your name?â
The question was abrupt enough that even Peter was surprised.
âMe? I mean⌠Itâs really none of your⌠businessâŚâ
Juno looked at him, unnervingly still. Ernest wasnât a very courageous man.
âUm⌠Ernest. Ernest Walter.â
âErnest Walter.â Juno repeated. âRight. And how long have you been working for Vicky?â
âSir, I really donâtâŚâ
âHumor me.â
Ernest was getting angry. To be fair, Peter thought, at this point most people would have been. Someone insisting you werenât yourself tended to have that effect on people - Peter would know. But he wasnât quite angry enough yet to forget that Juno Steel could very well resort to a violence he wasnât ready to match.
âThree months.â He said through his teeth. âNow, if you will excuse meâŚâ
âSure. Wouldnât want to put a wrench in your plans.â Juno winked and it was so incredibly smug it almost looked familiar to Peterâs eyes.
Peter was seriously starting to consider calling this whole long con thing off.
âSir.â Enerst had come a long way. Heâd gone from scared to annoyed to long suffering. âAre you following me?â
âHello, Ernest.â Juno was insufferably chipper, and Enerst wanted to kick him. âI just thought Iâd go to my meeting with Vicky on foot. Lovely weather today.â
Enerst made a show of glancing at the threatening clouds overhead.
âAnd you just happenned to be passing by my building, I take it.â
He didnât bother to make it a question.
âOh, you know⌠small world and all that.â
Juno was terrible at fake chitchat. Externally Ernest was rolling his eyes at the man, while internally Peter had to refrain from laughing at Junoâs very poor technique. The man had been - quite subtly he had to admit - following him for the past two weeks, and although Vicky now trusted him, constantly having a shadow had been a major pain in the ass.
âAnd Iâm sure Vicky will be happy to learn that youâre keeping in form for your actual job.â Ernestâs sarcasm had still a long way to go, but it was steadily improving.
âVicky will be happy not to be stabbed in the back.â
âVicky trusts me.â
Juno snorted at that.
âDonât feel too special kid, Vicky trusts everyone working for her. Doesnât mean she should.â
âIâ Ernest was starting to get fed up with the pseudo PI, and Peter was regretting then more than ever to have made him as stuffy as he was âam not a child, and Vicky has every reason to trust me!â
Juno stopped, and looked him dead in the eye. Ernest took a careful step back, and even Peter felt himself. Juno seemed like a good enough person, but he still had something of a dangerous lady underneath it all. A controlled violence that neither Ernest nor Peter really knew how to thread with.
âYour name isnât Ernest Walter and I will find what you want from Vicky if it kills me.â
And before Ernest had any time to respond - before Peter had any time to respond - he stormed off. In seconds, Ernest was left alone in an empty street.
âNo need to be so dramatic about it.â
This job really wasnât going to go well was it.
âŚ.

chat with a stranger
[7:43 PM] ttd29: Tell me more about him
[7:43 PM] ttd29: What is it that you like so much about this guy who doesnt respond to your needs?
[7:43 PM] Theodore: ok so we met by playing dota2 together
[7:44 PM] Theodore: he was a very nice guy who didn't scold me for feeding the enemies
[7:44 PM] ttd29: Ok great start
[7:44 PM] Theodore: so for some reason i asked him his fb and we started to become friends
[7:45 PM] Theodore: at the time i was dating a girl
[7:45 PM] Theodore: i sent a few memes to him
[7:45 PM] Theodore: u know, from r/suddenlygay, etc
[7:46 PM] ttd29: Wait youâre bi?
[7:46 PM] Theodore: you can say so...
[7:46 PM] ttd29: Lol interesting
[7:46 PM] ttd29: Anyway go on
[7:47 PM] Theodore: i usually go by being gay in order to avoid surprise moments like this
[7:47 PM] Theodore: anyway
[7:47 PM] Theodore: we got closer and closer
[7:48 PM] Theodore: i even asked him how to kiss a girl before i got that girl
[7:48 PM] Theodore: then one day he was comfortable enof to admit that he's bi
[7:49 PM] Theodore: and i eventually dumped my ex-gf bc i was an asshole
[7:50 PM] Theodore: in my defense i felt tired to fake my masculinity
[7:50 PM] ttd29: No need to defend yourself
[7:50 PM] ttd29: At least you didnt cheat
[7:50 PM] Theodore: then a few days later i met him in a coffee shop
[7:50 PM] Theodore: that was our first meeting
[7:51 PM] Theodore: and we started hanging out more often
[7:51 PM] Theodore: after 2 meetings, we became boyfriends
[7:53 PM] Theodore: ok after this point there was no major event
[7:53 PM] Theodore: he also gave me a book 'call me by ur name'
[7:53 PM] ttd29: How long did you guys date?
[7:54 PM] Theodore: in the book, he signed "you're the best thing that ever happened to me"
[7:54 PM] Theodore: the book has been given away to one of my friends
[7:55 PM] Theodore: i can go on about how disgusting that book is but maybe another time
[7:55 PM] Theodore: (not his fault, Andre aciman's fault)
[7:55 PM] Theodore: then i took a 6-month exchange study
[7:55 PM] Theodore: so we maintained our communication online
[7:56 PM] Theodore: after getting back to vn, we went out together again
[7:56 PM] Theodore: then we had arguments about this and that, i remember i was a pretty rude guy and i raised my tone a lot of times....
[7:57 PM] Theodore: must've been tiring for him to go thru all that
[7:58 PM] Theodore: at the peak of the conflict, one day we were arguing about something i dont remember but pretty sure i started first
[7:58 PM] Theodore: he left in the middle of the convo to play video games
[7:58 PM] Theodore: which i was very angry and sad
[7:59 PM] Theodore: but he also quit the match to talk to me
[7:59 PM] Theodore: and u know, i was not a considerate person, i usually started a fight and made a fuss about anything
[8:00 PM] Theodore: and when im stressed, i write a lot
[8:00 PM] Theodore: and when i write a lot, whoever read it gets stressed too
[8:01 PM] Theodore: ok i see u went offline lol, prolly u got stressed too
[8:02 PM] ttd29: Lol relax
[8:03 PM] ttd29: I just took a shower
[8:04 PM] ttd29: And then after that what happened?
[8:05 PM] Theodore: wait me, i need to finish the monstrosity i cooked
[8:06 PM] ttd29: =)))))
[8:06 PM] ttd29: Oke
[8:20 PM] Theodore: ok so at one point i just straight up told him dont talk to me anymore
[8:20 PM] Theodore: which i very regret til this day
[8:21 PM] Theodore: after that text, he never answered me again
[8:21 PM] Theodore: he didn't respond to anything
[8:21 PM] Theodore: basically he ghosted me
[8:21 PM] ttd29: For a year???
[8:22 PM] Theodore: yes
[8:22 PM] Theodore: i had been through a lot of confusion, anger, self hate, regret, depression, you name it
[8:22 PM] ttd29: And he never talked to you again until now?
[8:23 PM] Theodore: i kept messaging him for months, until July last year i told him this would be my last text (it wasn't), which he also didnt read
[8:24 PM] Theodore: and a few days ago my depression hit me so bad i had to bring up that shit again
[8:24 PM] Theodore: this time i talked with a mutual friend of us
[8:25 PM] Theodore: along the lines i told my fren that 'the only reason i haven't commit suicide is because my mom would be sad if i did'
[8:25 PM] Theodore: my fren told my ex that i wanted to commit suicide...
[8:25 PM] Theodore: -.-
[8:25 PM] ttd29: QuĂ o
[8:25 PM] ttd29: Okay
[8:26 PM] ttd29: Great friend
[8:26 PM] ttd29: =))
[8:26 PM] ttd29: After that then what happened
[8:27 PM] Theodore: anyway, i also sent him a few words that said 'i dont understand how things went wrong but im sure whatever my mistakes are, i am not deserved to be ghosted for a year like this'
[8:27 PM] Theodore: after i filed a request to delete my fb account
[8:27 PM] Theodore: so i told my fren find some way to make him read my last message before the account got deleted completely
[8:28 PM] Theodore: actually he completed what i asked him to do, but the way he did it was a bit questionable wasn't it
[8:28 PM] Theodore: in some way, he distorted what i said about suicide
[8:29 PM] ttd29: Yeah that was totally not cool
[8:29 PM] Theodore: anyway, my ex sent me an email to apologize bc i blocked him on all media
[8:29 PM] Theodore: before i received the email, i felt like i was reborn
[8:30 PM] Theodore: that i could finally give up the past and move on to the new chapter
[8:30 PM] Theodore: but then... the email =.=
[8:30 PM] Theodore: i just wanted him to read, i didn't want an answer anymore
[8:30 PM] Theodore: it is too late for an answer
[8:31 PM] Theodore: anyway i got stressed again and my emails sent to him got longer and longer
[8:32 PM] Theodore: he eventually responded that he was super tired with this way of talking of mine and that's one of the reasons he gave up the relationship
[8:32 PM] Theodore: i guess he had a point, i sometimes feel like im overdramatic about things
[8:32 PM] Theodore: and yes when im stressed i'd write a lot and talk a lot
[8:32 PM] ttd29: Yeah well
[8:33 PM] ttd29: Now where are you guys?
[8:33 PM] ttd29: Still exchanging emails?
[8:33 PM] Theodore: so fast forward a few emails, i got friendlier and finally connected to him on discord
[8:34 PM] Theodore: i dont really use discord but im not ready to reconnect with him on any other platform
[8:34 PM] Theodore: so this is the choice
[8:35 PM] ttd29: And you guys are talking normally now?
[8:35 PM] Theodore: i guess??? idk, i dont feel that way
[8:35 PM] Theodore: but, as i said, his mom is going thru cancer treatment
[8:35 PM] Theodore: so he must be very busy and, in his words, he did not have the mental capacity for this
[8:36 PM] Theodore: so yeah, although i really want to get back, i still feel like im chasing him
[8:36 PM] ttd29: Okay got it
[8:37 PM] Theodore: id been already texting to a ghost for almost a year, now i still have to try to get his attention
[8:37 PM] Theodore: but
[8:37 PM] Theodore: i cant blame him because who knows what his situation right now
[8:37 PM] ttd29: Was about to ask why do you want to get back together but realize thatâs a redundant question lol
[8:38 PM] Theodore: here
[8:38 PM] Theodore: also cuz he's cute so it's not that easy :frowning:
[8:38 PM] ttd29: =)))
[8:38 PM] ttd29: Lol
[8:39 PM] ttd29: Cute guys are abundant out there waiting for you
[8:39 PM] ttd29: Anyway
[8:39 PM] Theodore: just enjoy my awkward humor amidst a stressful story
[8:39 PM] ttd29: I kind of understand what youâre going through
[8:39 PM] ttd29: Enough to know that you wont be rational right now lol
[8:39 PM] Theodore: ...
[8:39 PM] Theodore: thats disappointing
[8:40 PM] ttd29: If i tell you heâs not the right guy for you, would you suddenly stop wanting him?
[8:40 PM] ttd29: I donât think so
[8:41 PM] Theodore: that's what u think
[8:41 PM] Theodore: this afternoon u said something that was quite impressing
[8:41 PM] Theodore: but now it's not cuz i forgot
[8:41 PM] ttd29:
[8:41 PM] ttd29: I said
[8:41 PM] ttd29: Itâs okay to miss someone
[8:42 PM] Theodore: here
[8:42 PM] ttd29: But you need to be rational enough to know whether they are good for you
[8:42 PM] ttd29: Thatâs the more important part of the equation
[8:43 PM] Theodore: it's so pity to give up such a beautiful story like that, i literally could turn it into a wattpad series which makes fangirls cry out every night
[8:43 PM] Theodore: what we had together was so romantic and any relationship which came after was incomparable
[8:44 PM] ttd29: This right here my fren
[8:44 PM] ttd29: Is why every relationship comes after are not comparable
[8:45 PM] ttd29: You havent fully dealt with your shit yet so everyone else are just rebounds
[8:45 PM] ttd29: You think they would cure you, but you need to cure yourself first
[8:45 PM] Theodore: i never found any friends that were so compatible with me like him, let alone a lover
[8:46 PM] Theodore: for real, if i had great friends, i could have just turned to my friends and never given a shit about him
[8:46 PM] Theodore: but i've always been a lonely person
[8:47 PM] ttd29: Do you ever think
[8:47 PM] ttd29: Youâre so consumed by your pain, that youâre not letting your friends in?
[8:47 PM] Theodore: ive been always like this since kindergarten
[8:48 PM] ttd29: Like what?
[8:48 PM] Theodore: alone
[8:49 PM] ttd29: Lol itâs all connected together now
[8:50 PM] ttd29: Youâre always alone. So once you found someone who cares, you put wayyy too much pressure on that person to care for you
[8:50 PM] Theodore: wow
[8:50 PM] ttd29: So they cracked
[8:51 PM] ttd29: Yeah
[8:51 PM] ttd29: At least thatâs the vibe I got from our conversations
[8:52 PM] ttd29: And then you never really let anyone in to care for you after that person left.
[8:52 PM] ttd29: Iâm sure your friends really care about you. But you donât tell them how they can help you so they must be frustrated as well
[8:52 PM] ttd29: Hence the suicidal distortion thingy
[8:53 PM] ttd29: Maybe they were concerned and wanted to help, but didnt know how to
[8:54 PM] Theodore: hmmm
[8:54 PM] Theodore: w8 me, im on a phone call w mum
[8:54 PM] Theodore: brb
[8:54 PM] ttd29: Oke
[9:12 PM] Theodore: you are right about the whole thing
[9:12 PM] Theodore: i wouldn't say i didn't let anyone care me after he left
[9:13 PM] Theodore: it's just hard for me to connect with someone on that deep level
[9:13 PM] Theodore: i used to be quite clingy around friends who i found compatible with me
[9:14 PM] Theodore: but at the end of the day, i think it's important to know that they also have their own lives
[9:14 PM] Theodore: so i dont really have friends anymore, cuz i feel like im bothering them
[9:15 PM] ttd29: What is this deep level that you were able to connect with the guy?
[9:15 PM] Theodore: yeah i have best friends here and there but i dont find myself comfortable as i was with my ex
[9:17 PM] Theodore: he's both a best friend and a lover; we shared a lot of hobbies and favorite topics, ... and also i felt like he would always be there to lend me an ear, unlike a normal friend
[9:17 PM] Theodore: which has been proved to be incorrect lol
[9:17 PM] ttd29: Sounds like you need a hug lol
[9:18 PM] Theodore: i really appreciate that u are staying here to listen to me
[9:18 PM] Theodore: and u gave some very interesting insights that no one else did
[9:18 PM] Theodore: prolly becuz they didn't care enof, or they just wanted to quickly conclude my problems so they could go to sleep
[9:19 PM] ttd29: Haha iâm flattered
[9:19 PM] ttd29: Idk you just sound like you really need to talk this out
[9:20 PM] Theodore: and now that we're connected on discord, i kept getting mixed signals from him
[9:20 PM] ttd29: I believe being able to talk about our problems always help
[9:20 PM] Theodore: i'm a bit obsessed to discord recently and i found myself waiting for a dm from him
[9:20 PM] Theodore:
[9:21 PM] ttd29: You know what your problem is?
[9:21 PM] Theodore: i dont want to... you know... after all the shit ive been thru, i now have to continue waiting for him
[9:21 PM] ttd29: You never really get a full closure from him
[9:22 PM] ttd29: I mean he just ghosted you out of the blue. Then he only came back and apologized when he thought you were going to committ suicide
[9:22 PM] Theodore: yes, please continue
[9:22 PM] ttd29: You never got a sincere apology
[9:23 PM] Theodore: you are right...
[9:23 PM] ttd29: Thatâs why youâre so hung up
[9:23 PM] ttd29: And you got your own problems to fix to
[9:23 PM] ttd29: Starting from your âclinginessâ
[9:24 PM] ttd29: Heâs not going to fix that problem for you
[9:24 PM] ttd29: And if you guys got back together, you will eventually break up again, because the root of the problem was never resolved
[9:24 PM] Theodore: you are right
[9:25 PM] ttd29: I donât want to tell you what to do. But you surely deserve an in-person, sincere apology from him, for leaving you in the worst way possible
[9:26 PM] Theodore: i suppose
[9:26 PM] Theodore: but he's in an emotional distress, so i cant really blame him, or expect anything from him
[9:26 PM] Theodore: im thinking about ending this come-back plan from my side
[9:27 PM] Theodore: i think he wont give a shit lol, because he also said we would still break up if none of us changed
[9:28 PM] ttd29: Yeah so if he is aware of that
[9:28 PM] Theodore: i really thought i had improved myself as a person after all the regret, but now that we found out that i still have a tendency to cling to people i care about and that makes them suffocated
[9:28 PM] ttd29: And if he really did love you and respect you enough, he would understand you need this, Theodore.
[9:29 PM] ttd29: This is your problem that you need to work on improving
[9:29 PM] Theodore: need what? an apology?
[9:29 PM] ttd29: Yes
[9:29 PM] ttd29: A sincere apology
[9:29 PM] ttd29: Not an âi only apologize because i think youâre going to commit suicideâ
[9:30 PM] Theodore: you are right, the moment i knew that was the reason he apologized, i was shocked and disappointed
[9:30 PM] Theodore: shall i keep waiting for anything from him?
[9:30 PM] ttd29: Just text him that
[9:31 PM] Theodore: no, i dont want to
[9:31 PM] ttd29: :))) if i were there, I would snatch the phone from you and text him myself
[9:31 PM] Theodore: u seem like a cool friend to be around :))
[9:31 PM] ttd29: You said he was mature enough to know itâs not a good idea to get back together
[9:32 PM] ttd29: So be it
[9:32 PM] ttd29: But he must admit he was wrong
[9:32 PM] ttd29: Wrong to treat you like that
[9:32 PM] Theodore: i also asked him for an in-person meeting but he declined becuz he's busy with his mom
[9:33 PM] Theodore: i think it will take a long time for him to get over that, and by that time he will have forgotten about me probably lol
[9:33 PM] ttd29: Or via text, or via email or whatever.
[9:33 PM] ttd29: Get him to apologize sincerely
[9:34 PM] Theodore: he did apologize me multiple times
[9:34 PM] ttd29: Okay fine
[9:34 PM] ttd29: If youâre think theyâre sincere then they are
[9:34 PM] Theodore: even on discord, one time he asked me how i was doing and i told him about my depression and he apologized
[9:34 PM] ttd29: But if they are not then you should get one
[9:34 PM] ttd29: Omg no thatâs not sincere
[9:34 PM] ttd29:
[9:34 PM] Theodore: ??? its not
[9:35 PM] Theodore: how do i know
[9:35 PM] ttd29: Why must his apology always be connected to your mental state
[9:35 PM] Theodore: he's not capable of writing dancing words like me
[9:35 PM] Theodore: idk??
[9:35 PM] Theodore: so it's not sincere...
[9:36 PM] ttd29: A sincere apology should be when you guys are both in normal state
[9:36 PM] ttd29: And you know that heâs really sorry for what he did
[9:37 PM] ttd29: Not just because he thinks saying sorry would make you not depressed/want to commit suicide/etc
[9:37 PM] Theodore: got it
[9:37 PM] Theodore: aww fren thanks for helping me realize it
[9:38 PM] Theodore: maybe i still have feelings for him and want us to be back so i did put the bar quite low for an apology
[9:38 PM] ttd29: Lol I need to consider becoming a mental therapy
[9:39 PM] ttd29: Yeah to be frank I donât think getting back together is a good idea
[9:39 PM] ttd29: You need to deal with your emotional baggage first
[9:39 PM] Theodore: okay
[9:39 PM] Theodore: so no waiting for him
[9:39 PM] ttd29: Yeah!!!!
[9:39 PM] ttd29: Work on yourself
[9:40 PM] Theodore: ok...
[9:40 PM] Theodore: haizzz...
[9:40 PM] Theodore: such a beautiful story

Light Reading
Pairing: Tenth Doctor/Rose Tyler
1,939 words - fluff, trashy romance novels, the eighth doctor ;), âdisturbing the peaceâ, crack?
[[I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THE ORIGINAL POST BC IMÂ A HUUUUUGE KLUTZ SO IâM REPOSTING IT IâM SO SORRY]]
Rose Tyler (much to her surprise, delight, and horror) finds a rather⌠interesting⌠romance novel starring none other than the Doctor himself! Try as she might to read it in peace, the Doctor just has to know whatâs going on. Why is she laughing so hard?
AO3Â
Ever since she began travelling with the Doctor, Rose generally avoided romance novels.
The reason why was simple, really. Every time Rose read a romance novel she just kept thinking of him, of that maddening alien she now lived with. Her mind would wander, unbidden, to dangerous territory, lingering on the eternity in his eyes, the perfect fit of his hand in hers, the warmth spreading in her chest at the sight of his smileâŚ
She couldnât read a single limerent word from even the trashiest of bodice-rippers without her mind wandering. Romances were, for lack of a better word, hazardous. They did a impressive number on her sanity and she swore to stay away from them for the sake of her health.
Generally, she kept that promise well. She avoided suspicious sections of not only the TARDIS library, but of other libraries or bookstores they happened to visit on their adventures as well. She did her part and stayed away, but Rose didnât take into account the books not staying away from her, and she certainly didnât take into account the books actually being about the Doctor.
Suddenly, it wasnât so much an issue of her mind wandering but rather of whether or not her imagination would be up to par.
Looking back at it, she would certainly claim that it wasnât her fault. Not really. What were the odds of her finding something like that in this particular library in this particular town on this particular planet? Or anywhere in the universe at all, rather? Slim, she bet. Probably as slim as he was in that suit of his, thatâs how unlikely.
Yet there it was. Just sitting there, wedged in between two other seemingly innocuous volumes. It was misshelved, clearly, by the way it was surrounded by cookbooks. She just wanted a glimpse at freaky alien food, not freaky alien Doctor fantasies.
Still, Rose quickly grabbed the book and ducked around the shelves to take a peek anyway. Ever the paradigm of restraint, she decided regret was for the future. She would burn that bridge when she got to it.
A customary glance at the cover nearly left her a giggling mess. It was so cheesy, almost exactly like those cheap paperbacks sitting around in convenience stores. The man emblazoned on the cover passionately embracing a swooning purple-skinned damsel was clearly meant to be the Doctor, even though he looked considerably different. He was painted with a velvet coat and luscious brown curls, dressed perfectly for a position in some sort of Jane Austen novel or something. In the background, partially concealed by gratuitous amounts of blossoming flowers, stood the TARDIS in all of its blue boxy glory.
The title was printed in curvilinear alien script and appropriately translated to the closest English equivalent of its meaning. It read, much to Roseâs amusement: Doctor Sexy. It sounded like some sort of quirky medical drama.
The tagline was just as bad: Fate, passion, desire⌠He can save the planet, but can he love?
What a loaded question.
Rose remembered the Doctor telling her as soon as they arrived that he recalled visiting this planet multiple times in the past and saving them from a new threat every time. He mentioned, offhandedly, how he figured that the locals must technically consider him some sort of hero or legend by now based upon how well he had been received before. There was no way he could have expected this.
Oh, they thought him a hero alright. Definitely.
She hadnât even opened the thing yet and it was already too much for her. Her hands were shaking with barely concealed laughter as she flipped between random pages in the book, not really looking to actively immerse herself in it yet desperate for a juicy paragraph or two.
And God. She was not disappointed:
âOh, Doctor,â sighed Anahi, melting into his embrace, âYou came for me!â
âI could never leave you, my poignant weeping blossom,â he professed. âYou have captured not only both of my wandering hearts, but my body and my soul as well. My love, I am yours.â
The Doctor placed kisses along the fleshy ridges of her neck, making Anahi squirm like a nurseling in pleasure. His strong, velvet-clad arms held her flush against him yet she still craved more. Anahi tugged at the curls concealing the undoubtedly gorgeous expanse of his bare scalp and groaned in need, the vibrations reverberating onto his lips from their position upon her throat.
âI thought you would never return,â she gasped. âI thought⌠After the uprising⌠No, after DrewanâŚâ
âDrewan matters not. He is unworthy of you,â he growled. âHe shall never have you. No one shall ever take you from me.â
âOh, Doctor!â
âMy love!â
Rose couldnât hold it in anymore. She burst out laughing right then and there, burying her face in the pages of the book, guffaws violently jarring the serenity of the library. Blimey, this was too much. She wasnât built for this kind of relentless assault.
She had to keep reading.
âRose?â called a familiar voice.
Or not.
Rose quickly shut the book, shoving it behind her as she twisted around. She backed up against the shelf behind her and plastered on an innocent smile. She hoped, no, prayed, that her cheeks werenât as flushed as she felt them to be.
The Doctorâs inquiring expression greeted her. âYou were pretty loud,â he began, stepping toward her. âWhatâs so funny?â
âUhh⌠Well,â she struggled for an explanation, âSânothing, really. Jusâ⌠Just this really sillyââ she glanced around her, recalling precisely what section of the library she was inââcookbook I found.â
His face contorted into further confusion.
âYeah. Uh, more of a joke, really. 1000 recipes not to feed your⌠your nurseling.â Rose cringed. âFunnier than it sounds.â
âCan I see?â he asked, his confusion melting into that of skeptical acceptance and mild interest. He moved to peer behind her, but she deftly turned and pressed herself even further against the bookshelf so as to block his view. She could feel the wood digging into her arms.
âNope. Itâs not anything youâd like to see. Really. Trust me,â she said, biting her lip to suppress a chuckle at the memory of what she just read.
âRose, if it made you laugh so unabashedly in a place like this, itâs definitely something Iâd like to see.â
âNo. Honest. I swearââ
It was at that moment a book fell from its perch behind her. Rose jumped in surprise and quickly bent to retrieve it, startled by the loud thump it created upon meeting the floor. It was one of the books opened for display and she must have dislodged it as she backed up.
The Doctor wasnât one to waste an opportunity, however, and he snatched the novel from her unassuming hands the moment she shifted from her position of defense. She let out a yelp of protest and dashed to pry it away from him before he could properly witness the cover.
Too late.
She watched in mounting horror as his eyes drifted over the illustration and read the title.
âD⌠Doctor⌠SexyâŚ? â he whispered, eyes wide. Rose groaned. Here we go. âThis is what you were reading?â
She nodded.
âB-butâthis doesnât make senseâwhy would something like this⌠Why⌠What?â
Rose coughed, âApparently, Doctor, some people think youâre um, wellââ she gestured in the bookâs general directionââsexy.â
âThatâsâŚâ
âYouâve got a history here, yeah? Hero and whatnot. Thatâs pretty hot.â
He furrowed his brows and leafed through the pages of the novel, his face reddening as he advanced through it. His increasing embarrassment lessened the strength of her own embarrassment and by the time he looked up Rose felt the beginning of a smile gracing her lips. God, this was so surreal.
âThis isnât even anything like me!â The Doctor cried, incredulous. âI would neverâI certainly wouldnâtâI would never do any of this stuff!â
She snickered, âOh, I donât know. Seems pretty in character to me.â
âRose,â he whined. She grinned at him shamelessly. âYou know this isnât accurate. Itâs ridiculous! Fantasy fodder. Entirely fictitious!â
âFiction stems from reality, Doctor.â
âNo, no, no, no, no. Not in this case it doesnât.â
Rose tilted her head inquiringly, âSo you honestly think youâd never say a single word of this? All those passionate declarations of love and devotion and stuff?â
âTheyâre the single most clichĂŠ, contrived declarations I have ever had the misfortune of discoveringââ
âOi, thatâs a bit harsh, innit?â
âHarsh?â
âTheyâre not all that bad.â
âRose, you canât be defending this? Thatâs supposed to be me on those pages. This is slander; I am personally victimized.â
âIâm not on about that, Doctor. I agree with you there. Canât take that book seriously, honestly,â she rolled her eyes. âIâm jusâ saying that those words are the kinda thing people love to hear. Passionate and adoring. Yeah, itâs kinda cheesy, but thatâs what stuff like this is for. Itâs all self-indulgent. Love for the hopeless romantic.â
He regarded her wearily, but the indignance in his gaze seemed to wane.
âWhen was the last time you visited? Mustâve been a long while ago judging by your appearance. You said it yourself: youâre like a legend to them. Something distant yet wonderful. Something they can pile their desires onto without much trouble. It makes them happy.â
âHow do you know so much about this?â
âSâcommon sense,â Rose shrugged, tongue peeking out through her teasing smile.
âDonât think so,â he said, âbecause then Iâd be an expert on this.â The Doctor glanced back down at the book in his hands and eyed it with distaste. âSomething I most certainly am not.â
Rose sighed, âOh, tell me about it.â
âWhat?â
âNothing.â
It was then that a librarian glided up to them, a stern expression on her face. Turns out they have been rather disruptive for the past few minutes, dropping books and speaking absurdly loudly, and she figured it was time to insist upon their dismissal for the sake of her peace-loving patrons. They could come back, she told them, once they decided to abide by library policy.
In other words, they were kicked out.
The walk to the TARDIS had them improperly amused in the end, the Doctorâs previous dissatisfaction forgotten in the wake of other more important matters like going home. Lamenting on the fact that they never seemed to be able to go anywhere without being given the boot, they walked hand-in-hand, smiling like the trouble-makers they were.
âTell me what you will, but I honestly donât think you could ever catch me saying anything out of that book,â the Doctor told her upon reaching the TARDIS doors. He no longer bore his earlier offended tone, but he clearly must have felt the need to clarify.
âReally?â Rose asked. âNever call anyone your poignant weeping blossom?â
The Doctor made a face. âNever.â
She just laughed, following him up the ramp inside. Rose didnât doubt him; he probably really would never say anything so honestly and aggressively romantic. It was an aspect exclusively reserved for the man he never could be, trapped in between the pages of that silly book, only found stemming from the minds of people who honestly werenât all that different from Rose herself.
She might not have been so tawdry in her own musings, but she couldnât deny how some things appealed to her immensely. She recalled a sentence from the book that stood out to her almost painfully.
My love, I am yours.
Yeah. It would be nice to hear, wouldnât it?

Heâs Got You High
For @a-simple-rainbow. âĽâĽâĽ
She wanted something based on this post: Kurt sends an email to his TA while high on pain meds after a wisdom teeth extraction.
read on AO3
Blaine is in the middle of his theatre history class when his phone signals a new email in his inbox. Discreetly hiding the phone from his instructorâs view by keeping his hands behind a stack of textbooks on his desk, he goes to his email folder and checks the sender.
It reads, Kurt Hummel.
He has to bite his tongue to stop the smile forming on his lips. Kurt is a sophomore, only a year behind Blaine, and takes improv and stage combat class with Blaine. Heâs also a student in one of Mme Tibideauxâs more advanced voice studio classes that Blaine miraculously got to be the TA for this year.
To say that Kurt is Blaineâs favorite student would be an understatement â in fact, hopelessly crushing on him is probably more accurate.
Itâs not like Blaine is planning to do anything about it, at least not while heâs Kurtâs TA. It would be inappropriate, unprofessional, and probably also really awkward, especially if Kurt isnât interested.
So, heâs not fooling himself into thinking that Kurtâs email will be anything out of the ordinary. Probably a note of absence or questions about the final exam⌠though, as Blaine notices with a frown, the subject reads âPaper Eggstensionâ. Autocorrect maybe? Thereâs no way Kurtâs spelling is that bad, Blaine has read and graded most of his MUS105 papers.
Glancing at the teacher to ensure heâs still unobserved, Blaine opens the email, intrigued and a bit concerned now. He scans the first few lines and â oh, wow.
Everyone at NYADA knows Kurt is full of surprises and heâs certainly made an impression on Blaine more than once but thisâŚ? This has Blaine blushing, giggling under his breath, shaking his head fondly and wanting to check up on Kurt all at once.
To: Blaine Anderson
From: Kurt Hummel
Subject: Paper Eggstension
---
Dear Mr. Blaine,
sry, I forgot your last name because Rachel calls you Mr. Dreamboat! And y would I use your last name anyway? You told us to call you Blaine. Thats a nice name. Blaiiiine.
You said other stuff too. Like that we could send you our MUS105 paper before we send it to Mme Tibidibideaux (I wish she let us call her Blaine too) but only if we dont miss the deadline. Now I gotta tell you: No can-do. But I have an excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you donât believe. But you should. Cuz Blaine, u see â I got my teeth removed. The smarty ones. The wisdom teat. Anyway. I got them out. It was brutality. So much pain, worse than when I watched you unfairly lose Midmight Madnesssss against that senior douche, whatever the fuck his name is again. You should have won Blaine. You were better. I think Rachel bribe the judge bc she went out with senior douche⌠what is hid name? Bobby? Barney?
But PLEASE could I get a few more days, could you ask Mme T.âŚ??? I really wanna do well bc⌠you see, Mme T., she scares the hell out of me. Ha that rhymes, triple! Cuz Iâm awesome. Yes, I am. You can just accept that as fact or you can also go out wih me and see how awesome I am for yourself, your choice (but pick the latter!). But anyway please please pls pls pls can I hand it the paper a bit later? I really cant submit something bad -- and Im afraid they pulled out my brain with the teeth!!!!!!!! I canât write a well paper without a brain!
My doctor says Ill regret writing emails while Im hai (thats German for shark, funny fact) so Iâm gonna stop and hope that you will say yes! Please bro? Oh! Brody. Brodouche. Midnight Madman. Destroy him next time! (He broke up with Rach, he deserves it.)
Thank you, Mr. Blaineboat. I really like you.
Kurt xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Blaine reads the email three times before deciding that he should wait until after class to type out a response. In the state heâs in right now, heâll probably do something stupid and just write back, Yes to all.
He wants to, of course. Heâd give Kurt an extension on his paper and say yes to a date with him in a heartbeat but⌠he knows heâll have to convince Mme Tibideaux, sort out his personal TA-student dating policy (and maybe ask around if NYADA has an official take on it) and make sure Kurt really meant to type this and didnât just do so in the spur of the painkiller-induced moment.
The class canât end fast enough but as soon as itâs over and Blaine finds a quiet corner in the library to think of what to respond, he blanks, drafting several replies but ending up deleting all of them.
âGoddammit,â he mutters to himself. âJust write something.â
In the end, âsomethingâ doesnât really compare to Shakespeare but Blaine figures that at least he wonât risk his job over it, either.
And maybe, just maybe, Kurt will catch the ambiguity in his words.
-
âWhat are you working on?â Rachel asks when she comes back to the loft, arms full of grocery bags that Kurt hopes are filled with veggies for him to make soup with. He seriously craves eating something that isnât liquid but mushy veggies drowning in hot water really is the maximum of cheating when it comes to his pained cheeks. He knew it was a bad idea to get both upper wisdom teeth out the same day. But itâs too late to complain. At least he has a best friend who brings him soup.
Kurt sighs at the laptop in front of him.
âMy paper for Mme Tibideaux,â he responds. âYou know I love Sondheim but interpreting his work while physically injured makes me want to kill him.â
âHeâs in his mid-eighties, Kurt,â Rachel tells him. âLet an old man be.â
âUgh.â Kurt rubs his eyes. âThe meds are making me tired, though.â
âWhy do you even bother writing the paper when you got an extension from Mr. Dreamboat?â
Kurt frowns at Rachel. âExtension? When would I have gotten that?â
âIn your email?â Rachel frowns back. âCome on, donât tell me you chickened out just because youâre in love with him. Heâs still our TA, he could probably do something about that deadline, so-â
âI donât remember writing an email.â Kurt goes to student email and punches in his username and password. âOr getting one back, for that matter. Like, wouldnât I rem-â He blinks in surprise, catching Blaineâs name in his inbox â twice, even. How high was he, exactly? âWait, what did IâŚ?â Clicking on the email, bits and pieces come back to him, and he suddenly grabs the couch cushion next to him, holding onto it for dear life. âOh my god, no.â
âWhat?â
âRachel.â Kurt feels the blood draining from his face. âOh, Jesus, please tell me I didnât write thatâŚâ
He scrolls through the quoted email below Blaineâs short responses (Dear Kurt, thank you for telling me! And yes, of course! Iâll talk to Mme Tibideaux, and get back to you once I know more. Get well soon! All the best, Blaine, and the more recent Dear Kurt, I got a yes from Mme Tibideaux, youâre getting one more week! Best, Blaine) and cringes when he reads the first line.
âI did. Fuuuuuck. Oh god, now I wish Sondheim could kill me.â
âAgain, the guyâs, like, 85âŚâ Rachel says slowly. âAnd why would you- whoa, is that your email to Blaine?â
Kurt doesnât answer, instead opting to hide his face in his hands.
âYou did not tell him we call him Mr. Dreamboat.â
Kurt whimpers.
âYou did not ask him out!â Rachel squeals.
Kurt lets out a miserable whine.
âOh my god, Kurt, you did not tell him you like him and signed the email with a dozen kissing faces!!!â
âWHAT?!â Kurtâs hands fly back to his laptop. He didnât re-read that part. âOh my god! I ju- Rachel, I can never go back to that school. Iâm such a failure at life, Jesus Christ.â
âYouâre very religious all of a sudden.â
âDonât just sit there mocking me,â Kurt begs. âTell me it was all just a bad dream.â
Rachel gives him a look of deep, genuine pity. âI really wish I could but I doubt my eyes can never unsee that email. Also, I know you wrote that while you were high on pain meds but I am a bit upset you never told me you didnât like Brody. Might have saved me some trouble.â
Kurt rolls his eyes at her. âYou honestly believe I never brought it up? What do you think we were we having that flea-market chair argument for? And donât even pretend like you would have called it off with him just because I said something.â Rachel opens her mouth to speak but Kurt shakes his head violently. âIt doesnât matter, anyway â what am I going to do about this?!â
Rachel shrugs. âKurt, itâs out there. All you can do now is roll with it.â
âIn my grave, you mean?â
âIn class. To which weâre going tomorrow since youâre so much better already,â Rachel tells him sternly. âJudging by Mr. Dreamb-â
âWe canât call him that anymore,â Kurt says quickly.
âFine.â She sighs. âJudging by Blaineâs reply, heâs not bothered by it. Who knows, maybe heâs flattered. Or happy about it. Itâs not every day you get an email from a cute guy confessing heâs crushing on you.â
âYeah, right,â Kurt mumbles into the sleeve of his sweater. âAs if I stand a chance with him.â
âNo time like the present to find out,â Rachel says with finality. âNow, Iâm making you soup, and youâre going to put on some Sondheim so you can work on your paper with some fresh insights and maximum concentration.â
Itâs a nice thought â but Kurt doesnât get anything done that night.
-
Blaine carefully keeps his eyes on his notebook when Rachel and Kurt walk into his class.
He was expecting Kurt to come back today (and no, he did not google how long it takes for people to recover from wisdom teeth extraction â he just asked Sam, who had gotten it done right before moving to New York), and he might have put a little extra effort into looking good today. He never got a response from Kurt, so he figures the guy has either silently acknowledged the paper extension, avoided Blaine for a number of possible reasons or forgotten about the exchange entirely.
Whatever the motivation behind it, Blaine will not despair over it. Heâs Kurtâs TA, and as such wonât try anything anyway. NYADA doesnât seem to have any policy against TAs dating students but nevertheless, he doesnât want to put either them in an awkward position.
Which doesnât even take into account the fact that he still doesnât know whether Kurt remembers asking him out, whether he actually meant it, or whether he intends to ask again.
He might want to wait until Blaineâs no longer his TA as well. Thatâs alright with Blaine. After all, thereâs a month left to this semester, so he can wait. He totally can.
He looks up from his notebook with a smile.
âHi everyone,â he greets the class. âHow are you doing? So, the deadline for your papers is Friday so I hope youâve all sent me your drafts in case you want me to read them.â He canât help but let his eyes wander to where Kurt is sitting. âUnless there were any reasons to hand them in late.â
Kurt blinks really quickly at the sudden eye contact, and lets out a nervous laugh.
And Blaine realizes he really totally cannot wait a whole month to get answers to his questions.
Before he can stop himself, he adds, âEveryone with extensions on their papers, please come see me after class.â
Of course, thatâs just Kurt, but the class wonât know. Okay, Rachel might know, seeing as she elbows Kurt so hard it almost sends him flying off his seat. Kurt almost doesnât seem to notice it as heâs busy staring at Blaine with a bit of a twitch in his eye.
Blaine suppresses a groan. This isnât the plan. What is he doing?
-
âBlaine, I am so sorry!â Kurt exclaims in misery when the rest of the students slip away after class is over.
Heâs beyond glad that Blaine didnât make him sing any of his pieces today because apart from already being nervous whenever Blaine does ask him to do that, today his anxiety probably would have been the final straw. He might have run off or broken out into tears in front of everyone.
Blaine looks at him with a small smile. âYouâve got nothing to apologize.â
âUh, yes, I do,â Kurt says stubbornly. Heâs beyond mortified; the least Blaine can do is let him apologize properly. âI really didnât mean to-â
âOh.â Blaine looks down on the pile of sheet music he was stacking. âYeah, right. Uhm, seriously though, I know how bad pain killers can be, I donât blame you for-â
âOh thank god, you know it was the pain meds,â Kurt breathes out in relief. âI was afraid youâd think-â
âNo worries,â Blaine cuts him off. âItâs alright if you didnât mean any of it.â
Kurt hesitates for a second, and gulps as he takes in Blaineâs slightly shaky hand movement as he stuffs the sheet music into his messenger bag.
âIfâŚ?â he asks quietly.
âI mean that,â Blaine says, eyebrows furrowing slightly. âSorry, that, of course.â
Kurtâs at a loss. Heâs getting mixed signals, and just judging by the last bit of the exchange â if that was the only thing that had happened, his stupid email and the fact that Blaine is his freaking TA forgotten â he might even be encouraged to inquire further.
But he canât just admit to meaning all of it, right?
He settles for the safer topic. âSo you wanted to speak to me about my paper?â he asks.
âUh, yes.â Blaine smiles, though he still looks distracted. âI just wanted to ask you whether you had any questions about the material since you couldnât join us for the last two sessions.â
âIâŚâ Kurt shakes his head. âNo, I think Iâve got it covered. Rachel caught me up.â
âAlright. Well, if you have any questions, you can send me an email.â
âOr not,â Kurt says quickly. âI think Iâm swearing off emails for a while.â
Blaine laughs, the sound warm and pleasant in Kurtâs ear.
âRight,â he says. âI know this is a bit awkward but⌠it could have been worse. You could have written that to Mme Tibideaux or Miss July.â
Kurt is so relieved that Blaine is able to joke about it that he replies with a mindless, âYeah, except I wouldnât have told them I liked them, soâŚâ
Blaine gapes at him, and Kurt realizes a second to late what heâs implying yet again.
âOh,â Blaine says. âI, uh-â
âIâve got to go,â Kurt cuts in, ears burning. âCan I go?â
âUh, uhm, well, yeah, of course,â Blaine stutters.
As Kurt turns around and gathers his stuff, he can hear Blaine mutter something to himself. Kurtâs almost out the door, when Blaine calls out, âKurt?â
Kurt turns around gingerly. âYeah?â
âI really didnât mind.â
âOkay...â
âLike, really really.â
Kurt wants to scream, But what does that mean?! Instead, he takes a deep breath, collects his thoughts, and says, âOkay⌠see you in improv, I guess?â
Blaine nods quickly. âYeah. Later, Kurt.â
âLater, Blaine.â
-
Blaine is early to improv class, even though itâs all the way across campus. But he didnât stop for his usual coffee, grabbed a salad to-go instead of lunch with his friends from his dorm, and also maybe, possibly hurried to get to class because Kurt is usually early to everything.
Blaine is the first to arrive, though, so he grabs his usual seat and gets out his salad. Heâs about to slice the egg when he hears Kurtâs voice from outside the classroom.
âTalk to you later, Rachel.â
âOkay. And, Kurt, remember to ask-â
âBye now!â
As soon as Kurtâs through the door, his eyes land on Blaine and he freezes.
âUh, hi,â he says. His cheeks are slightly red, probably from the cold weather outside. âYouâre â uhm, early.â
âYeah.â Blaine looks down briefly, willing himself to just go for it this time. âI wanted to talk to you.â
âAgain?â Kurt bites his lip. âI thought-â
âKurt, when I said yes in the email, I meant yes to both.â
âBoth?â Kurt frowns. âI donât-â
âBoth questions. Or requests, I guess.â
Kurtâs eyes widen. âYou meanâŚâ
âYeah, I mean,â Blaine says with as much conviction as possible. âAt first, I didnât want to say anything because, you know, TA and all, but⌠seeing you in class, knowing, or well, hoping that you meant it, and⌠I donât know, I couldnât wait those four weeks until the semester is over. So I asked you to stay after class but then that felt super shady, too, so⌠I donât even really know what Iâm doing right now.â
âDo you know what youâre saying, though?â Kurt asks breathlessly.
âWellâŚâ Blaine canât suppress a grin. âUnlike some people, Iâm not on pain meds right now, so, yeah, Iâm pretty sure I have full control over my words.â
Kurt glares at him but itâs mostly façade, especially considering heâs still looking like Christmas came a bit early this year, and Blaine⌠well, Blaine is floored at the thought of being the one to actually make him look like that.
âWell, apparently those pain meds at least made me confess something neither of us could admit to sober, soâŚâ
âHey, for the record,â Blaine says, getting up to stand in front of Kurt, âI fully intended to ask you out once the semester was over.â
Kurtâs eyes are locked on Blaine with sheer intensity, and Blaine isnât proud to admit it makes his knees a bit weak.
âReally?â Kurt asks, clearly intrigued, then sighs. âSo my email was completely unnecessary.â
âI wouldnât say that,â Blaine says. âI got so many laughs out of it.â
âOh god, shut up.â
âNo, I mean, it â eggstension?â Blaine chuckles. âWisdom teat? There were some good ones there.â
âWhat part of shut up-â
Waiting really isnât Blaineâs strong suit, he realizes, as he leans in to kiss Kurt, four weeks too early to be completely professional, yet about half a year too late considering how long heâs had his eye on him.
Kurtâs protest is muffled against Blaineâs lips, and dies down completely once they press closer together to get better access. They part for air briefly, and Kurt whispers, âWhen I got up this morning, I would have sworn this would be the last thing Iâd ever say, but Iâm pretty proud of myself for writing that email now.â
Blaine licks his bottom lip, chasing the faint taste of Kurt there. âIâm glad you wrote it, too.â This whole thing between them has lasted about a minute but he wants more so badly he feels like heâs physically incapable from drawing Kurt back in and kissing him again.
They keep at it until other students start to trickle into the room, and even then they share meaningful glances and press their ankles together between their chairs.
Between all the talking and kissing, Blaine didnât get to eat his salad, so about halfway through the lecture, his stomach starts growling.
Kurt turns to him with a grin. âForgot to eat?â
âI guess I was distracted.â
âHm, by what, I wonder?â Kurt asks cheekily.
Blaine eyes his untouched salad in amusement. âI guess I got pretty egg-sited over this boy I like.â
Itâs totally worth all the frustrated elbowing he gets in response.

Ok, made my decision, going with the new 2007 Mazda 3 S (with the 2.3 ltr engine and all that good stuff...not really sure on the sunroof though, it's kind of pricey) My question...s are: 1. I was told that if I got a loud color on a car that I would regret it for a couple of reasons. It attracts the cops to pull it over more and it could potientally higher my insurance. Is that just some kind of myth to scare people away from getting a nice color like red or yellow? 2. And secondly, what's a good color to get? Something that's easy to clean, but still shimmers and looks nice. I was thinking about the Aurora Blue. Everyone has black and silver cars? 3. I was building the car and I don't want to pay close to 21k for this car, it's worth a lot, but not that much. How much should I ask for? Now I've already gone to edmunds.com, it seems pretty helpful, but should I wait until they get the 2008 Models in and then try to buy the older model?""

Getting a car insurance even if you don't have a car?
I am 17 years old and turning 18 in 2 months. I have a permit in the state of New Jersey. Last Sunday, I made a small car accident. It was just few scratches on the other person's rear bumper. Anyway, the guy from an insurance company told my parents that I have to get an insurance as soon as i get my license even if I don't get a car. My parents can't afford to buy me a car anyway so I was planning to drive their car since I wouldn't have to get an insurance if I drive their cars. Can anybody explain to me why I have to get an insurance even if i am not getting car? And also, is there any other way I can solve this problem other than not getting a license? Car insurance bait and switch?
I admit I have a not so favorable driving record. The company I was with had elected to discontinue my coverage, leaving me to shop around. After calling every company I could think of, I got all extremely high, but understandable quotes. My last call was to a insurance broker . I know not the best route, but left with no other choice. The company got me a quote. . After I signed all paperwork and agreed to the deductions, I called the company just to verify all the information. All was said and fine. A week later they call to tell me the premium was significantly increased due to my record. While I understand, can they really tell me one thing first, have me agree and sign, then change it up like that? I had specifically asked if my record was already pulled and all my info was correct and they said yes.""

How much will insurance cost for a motorcycle in CA if im 20 years old ?

I got rear ended and the guy who hit me is pressuring me - should i get insurance involved?
The person in front of me was tail gating the person ahead of him so I was trying to keep distance and my brakes were on/off. The guy behind me crashed into me from behind. There was minor damage to my car - deep scratches that need a paint job and the left bumper that almost came off. He had a dent in his hood. He was very apologetic claiming it was his fault. He was willing to pay for all the damages and felt very bad about the situation. He said that if insurance gets involved, the higher our rates would go up but said it was all up to me in what I wanted to do. We exchanged information and was willing to fix my car as soon as possible. He called me and did his research in which we would get my car fixed. My back is hurting badly now and I'm going to get it checked now. He just called me up asking if he can meet up again to take pictures of my car. Thing is why would he want to take better pictures of my car? Don't you have to go show the people? I just got off the phone w. him and he said that I have minor damages compared to his dent in the hood. He believes that because I suddenly braked, he braked as well causing his hood to slide under my back.... He pretty much made it seem like what he did was very minor. I didn't meet up w. him b/c my parents drove another car to take me to the Dr. and got upset and was suspicious and accused me of illegal fraud? I killed him back w. kindness and he was being nice saying he wanted to fix my car ASAP. He really scared me last night and I'm feeling pressure b/c he wants to fix it NOW. IS HE POSSIBLY TRYING TO TURN THIS THING AROUND NOW??""

Auto insurance question -- Florida?
My daughter can't really afford the insurance on her car; it's a 2003 Jetta and if she keeps it she will probably have to do a certain amount of repairs. Right now she has full coverage but is considering dropping the collision to lower the cost. If, God forbid, she should get into an accident without collision coverage, could she sue the other driver to repair or replace the car? Would she be likely to be successful? I am not hopeful of anything like that happening, believe me, but you just don't want to lose your investment especially if you have spent a lot on repairs. Thanks in advance for any insights.""

Do insurance rates always go up after fender benders? even super minor ones?
I was in a minor parking lot fender bender, more like fender TAPPING if you ask me, neither car has more of a scratch, I am pretty sure that she is more at fault in this situation because when we tapped i was all the way out my my parking space and she was only out about half way, hence why our bumpers tapped on both of our rear passenger corners. she has a witness claiming they saw the whole thing and that I hit her, but regardless of if my car tapped hers or her car tapped mine, I was all the way out of my space and she was the one who wasn't looking enough to not hit me. I was about to shift into drive right when we tapped, I had my foot on the brake, which is probably why we didn't hit hard enough to do any more damage than a scratch. ANYWAY she is basically making a huge deal about a small *** scratch on her 1998 honda in which i am sure that she is at fault for. in maryland, I have always been told that parking lot accidents are equal fault cases no matter what. she called me 3 days after the incident and also called my house number(which i did NOT give her!!! creepy) she got mad that I called the police for advice on what to do and said she is going to go through my insurance to get things settled. m my question is, will my insurance go up if she files a claim using my insurqnce info? even though the repair for her tiny scratch couldn't possibly cost more than 200 bucks? It is so small i feel like someone at a body shop could buff it out for even less than 100, maybe even 50. it just baffles me that someone would make such a big deal over a scratch that is less than an inch, especially when my scratches are deeper and longer than hers! you can tell by the direction that my scratch was in that she was the one who hit me, because of where the paint was pushed.""

Will car insurance be cheaper if I drive my mum's car?
I'm learning to drive, but my mum won't allow me to practice in her Fiat 500 or drive it once I've passed the test. This means I can either buy myself a car or drive my Dad's car, which is a much larger Jeep. I don't particularly want to drive it though because its an automatic whereas I'm learning manual (I know automatic is easier, but as a new driver I won't be able to practice for the test and I'm worried I might forget manual if I drive it for too long) and I imagine insurance is likely to be higher. I was wondering, which of these options are likely to work out cheapest? Is it worth trying to persuade my mum to let me drive her car?""

Isn't the real problem causing a health care crisis in USA that cost of healthcare/insurance is too high?
Health care costs are out of control and so is the cost to insure. Because of the high cost of insurance many employers no longer offer what used to be a very common employee benefit. So now we millions of americans who are uninsured because they cant afford to go out and pay 600, 700,800, 900 dollars a month for private health insurance coverage. The rich and the fortunate ones with group insurance are taken care of. The ones who dont work and are on medicaid are taken care of, but the ones who are above the poverty line and work but are struggling as it is to make ends meet cannot afford the high insurance premiums and are left uninsured. We need to find a way to make health insurance and health care more affordable ..this is how people will get insurance on their own and the government will not have to tax us more to provide more free health care.""
