no because how can maki catch a bullet point blank and then be slower than... a punch
I mean she. she's a sorcerer. clearly some of what she's got going on is Sorcerer Rules Don't Abide By Normal Physics.
this is. about as much a gotcha. as going "well what the FUCK is QUANTUM TUNNELING then a BOWLING BALL can't just DECIDE THAT IT CAN TELEPORT THROUGH A WALL, BOWLING BALLS DON'T TELEPORT THROUGH WALLS TAKE THAT" well in the case that the bowling ball is the size of a proton it. uh. can bc quantum rules apply instead of classical rules, and it's where they interact at the boundaries that you get weird cool shit and fun technology and realize just how bullshit our world actually is
she's got some Sorcerer Stuff going on, the Sorcerer Physics applies there, whatever's happening can't be perfectly modeled by a classical understanding of the world, it's not that much weirder to catch a bullet and not a punch than for bowling balls to randomly teleport through walls
#and I *KNOW* that she does not have enough cursed energy to really be technically considered a sorcerer on her own#but heavenly restriction IS sorcery bullshit so it gets to fall under sorcery physics rules#also y'all I'm mostly here to rant about physics and have a good time and like.#mildly feel like world that don't go hard sci fi with how their magic system works but also don't fill in that corner#leave a sandbox and that sandbox is where I like to play!!! bc I find the implications COOL!!!!!#there is nothing I'd love to be more than a physicist in a world that has just discovered magic going#'okay how the FUCK do we model this and does this make a universal theory of everything more possible or less'#'how many more fucking symmetry groups do we have to impose to try to get Magic Force in there too'#like! Qwerty, as a character, is written badly, bordering on being harmful.
I think he's supposed to be making a point about trans and/or otherkin people - there's a large emphasis on him feeling uncomfortable in his own body, feeling trapped, and hating the feeling of being out of control. However, robot modifications cannot be compared to gender affirming surgeries, because gender affirming surgeries are not cutting off perfectly healthy biological parts in order to replace them with prosthetics for fun.
I know this wasn't Kittycorn's goal, but there is a real life mental disorder/possible neurological disorder that causes people to want to amputate healthy parts of themselves in order to get prosthetics and be disabled. It has many names, but it's all the same thing: Body Integrity Identity Disorder (biid), Body Integrity Dysphoria (bid), and xenomelia.
There are other, healthier ways to feel in control rather than harming yourself. This isn't changing your body to feel more at home in the same way gender affirming surgeries are, and it's trying to play it off as if that's the case.
Also, it doesn't help that Sparklecare is a story that is very upfront about most characters being disabled. Whether it's physical disability, mental illness, or a chronic or acute medical condition, most of the characters have something that's impacting them. There are characters in the story who have prosthetics - Brigh is implied to have lost them in a fire, there are Sparklecare Hospital protesters who are implied to have lost their limbs in the hospital, and we don't know if Tilly was born without an arm or lost it afterwards, but he also has a prosthetic. Meanwhile, Qwerty wants them... just for fun? Isn't that disrespectful? How is it legal in Spinch society to walk up to a hospital and say "hey, can you cut off healthy parts of me and replace them with prosthetics?"?
I think the comic is going for a cool, sci-fi cybernetic implants type of thing, and that isn't the problem. The problem is that Qwerty feels weird about having biological body parts and is actively getting rid of them. The problem isn't that he has the feelings in the first place - maybe some otherkin do feel the way he feels, I wouldn't know. But thoughts and actions are two different things. Harmful, possibly intrusive thoughts don't make you a bad person. But acting on things like this isn't normal, and it means you need help. But on Spinch it's being treated as if it is normal, when it's harmful!
Normally I probably wouldn't bat an eye - replacing your body with robot parts is a common sci-fi trope - but this is a medical trauma comic. How do you not take your characters with actual, traumatic limb differences into consideration first before making a character like Qwerty? And Uni, too! A large part of Uni's character is that she gouged out her eyes and is now blind. Stupid magic fixing vision goggles aside, there is an actual blind character in Sparklecare, meanwhile Qwerty got his eyes surgically removed... for fun. Also, if the medical system is, like, the one bad thing on Spinch, how is he getting these different types of procedures done in the first place?
Also, prosthetics can fail. They aren't inherently stronger than the biological body. Technology isn't perfect and is being updated all the time. Having incredibly important parts of yourself be reliant completely on technology when it isn't needed is just asking for trouble.
His design doesn't even have to change to be less harmful! He can have normal digital goggles instead of literally replacing his eyes, and he can have a normal voice changer instead of literally replacing his voice box/vocal chords. There are healthier ways to cope with feeling nonhuman rather than immediately jumping to dangerous and needless surgery!
Sometimes things you want aren't good for you and you need to be stopped. This would've been a great example to show that! But no, because it's Spinch everybody always gets what they want, since it's a utopia, and nobody's actions should be ever questioned! Since people always make the best choices for themselves, right? (sarcasm.)

I totally forgot about this until just now but over the summer I had wandered into a community event on my way home, and went to the public transit tent they had set up to promote the new project in the area and answer questions. I was looking for the Green party tent (all the other political parties where there, where the hell where they??)
But so I hang out at the tent, ask a few questions, show my excitement, etc.. and they have this "spin the wheel for a prize" game. Ranging from stickers to a bus pass. I was wanting a sticker bc the design was super cool and I'm a nerd. I wasn't optimistic enough to expect the bus pass.
>>I spin, I get the bus pass.
And the power I felt getting this prize?? I had already gotten my pass for the month. This was a spare one. The possibilities of who to give it to where endless and would legit alter someone I knew entire month.
>> Do I give it to the next person who asks me for change? Going from hoping tinget enough change to get enough for fare or something to eat and to be suddenly given this pass? The freedom from harassment of the transit police, the ability to get to all the free meal events that are all over the city but all are just awkward enough its an hour walk there. Actually get use the food bank and take more than a backpack or 2 of stuff for the month bc you have to carry it all yourself. To be able to visit a park, a library, To have the world open up without using all your energy getting there? How much would this bus pass alter their entire month? Who am I to now deny someone that freedom?
>>Do I give it as a gift to a coworker? Someone who doesn't go out or do anything other than work and rest at home bc it's too expensive for her to buy a pass bc she lives JUST close enough to work for walking to be a better option. Counting her bus tickets everytime she wants to go to the library, to see a friend/family member, to visit a park that's nearby, hang out downtown. Every outting you have to justify. Suddenly having just 1 month of freedom would help her mental health so much. She would have so much fun for the first time in ages! She could be a person in public, she could have fun without worry or need to justify. She's my friend. Who am I to not give it to her?
>>Do I sell it off to someone to get a grocery top up? To have a second of breathing room between paychecks? If I'm short on a bill this month I'll be kicking myself for not doing the survivalist thing to do.
It was a whole crisis.
In the end while I was having this crisis my roommate took it, so she could look for jobs and do a bunch of interviews without worrying about how to get there.
And it hits me as particularly horrific that so many ppls lives would be so positively altered by this single bus pass from a silly contest at a community event. How lucky was I to have this option? And alteranticely how so many ppls lives would open up and improve by simple access to a public service that they should have free access to not being held hostage by. And that's just the ppl I know who would benefit from monetary access to the system much less the good having physical accessibility added to it.
The for profit transit system is horrifying. This is meant to be a public feature, and yet the accessibility to actually use it is so limited. we deserve so much better.
#public transit#solarpunk#angry rambles#sorry yall im trapped under a baby and Feeling Things#anticapitalism#class warfare#its just not fair and ill spend my whole life to fix this as much as i can

genuine question in good faith, how can you play botw :( i tried and i couldnt do like.. any of the combat especially with the big robot things and it frustrated me so bad i put down the game and never picked it up again
well for me personally botw wasn't the first "difficult" game i ever played so to speak. i dont think of it as very hard. im not like great with games like that but i did finish dark souls 1 and 2 on my own with tremendous effort. i suck at souls games but im good at smash so botw wasn't horrible for me difficulty wise.
this is a pretty common sentiment for people who are playing botw for the first time for various reasons. on one hand, if its the first zelda game you picked up after playing another title - you're gonna have a hard time. on another if you picked it up because of a game like genshin, you are once again going to have a Hard Time.
getting frustrated w games and quitting is standard so dont feel bad about that.
but it's good for you to keep in mind that botw in many aspects is a game meant for you to fail.
this is true for every "hard" video game to an extent. failure is a crucial and integral part of progression. on one hand, this can be very brutal and demoralizing but it's also something with a sense of accomplishment you can't really achieve anywhere else.
failure is an expected part of the gameplay. dying to random things, being under equipped, having to do fights over and over. these are in the game by design. i know it can feel bad, but it's always good to keep this mind. you are meant to be losing a lot of the time.
games with progression like this (notoriously soulslikes but also many others) are mostly broken down into 3 parts. 1. is actually physical skill - as in being able to use your controller / keyboard and mouse 2. timing - so learning the timing for attack patterns during boss fights in order to dodge and 3. preparedness.
the nice thing is that if you can do the second thing - i.e. figuring out how to time things, you're basically good to go for the rest of the game. that is most of the battle. after that is preparedness. having the right gear, the right stamina etc. if you're getting one-shotted by a boss - it's highly likely it's just too early for you to be exploring that area and you should focus on easier bosses first.
actually physical skill is one of those you develop over time and something that requires a lot of effort.
the main thing with breath of the wild though is that you can exploit the system. souls games are much more rigid. there's realistically not anyway to avoid combat other than grinding it the fuck out and getting to where you need eventually.
but this is not as true for botw. you can farm items, weapons, money + do a metric fuckton of shrines and build your link up to be strong before you take on anything. it's easy to runaway. there are very few instances of fighting that you need to fight in game. you can just continue exploring and building up your inventory until you feel completely prepared.
my best advice early game is just run away. guardians are hard so just open your map and dip using fast travel. wait until you have more hearts to tank it by doing shrines - build your stamina and upgrade your gear and go back.
but also remember - you dont need to do the hard combat to play botw. you can pretty much just explore and fight smaller enemies the entire time and still have fun. it's open world so there's no right or wrong way to play it really.
combat is tough in any game. it just takes practice. but i totally understand not wanting to deal w the stress of that if you're playing causally (this is why i still have not gotten into elden ring KJSDHF. i will over summer tho)
but i'd encourage you to give botw a chance. when it doubt hit da bricks and just explore the map and puzzles. its still a great game on that alone
#return to sender#keep tag#i love this game to death but i def get the frustration#i like very grindy games like this#i used to play runescape and my favorire elder scrolls game is oblivion like im kind of a masochist#it took me a minute to get good at botw and i still suck sometimes

One Piece chapter 1140 review and analysis
Oda is such a tease. Let there be no fear that the series is wrapping up anytime soon. Despite a hugely memorable entrance Shamrock seems to be ducking out to save his boss status for later, and even Scopper hints that he plans to sit things out and not reveal anything he has to say to Luffy until after things with Loki wrap up. Although, it seems reasonably likely the abduction of his son will pull him into the mix anyway. And Shamrock hasn't actually left yet, so maybe I'm jumping the gun on character departures.
I guess the cover story is going to lead to some kind of Ulti and Page One redemption. Sure, why not. Maybe the Beast Pirates officers who were endearingly evil rather than wholly, cruelly evil are going to end up as Yamato's crew. Although, 26 installments in, there's not going to be a lot of time to go track down Sasaki and whoever else. And what happened between Ulti and Who's Who that he's happy to just torture her anyway?
I'm not surprised the Scopper fight turned out to be a low stakes test rather than a proper showdown, but I'm pleased to see him using the key to fight at least for a little while. It stands out a lot more visually than the axes (though the spread where he cuts up the tower is a banger), and gives us some fun physical comedy when he jams it in Luffy's mouth. I'm searching desperately for subtext in the dialogue about the straw hat, some hint about its relevance or purpose that Scopper knows from the old days, but there's not really much to see besides Scops trying to wind Luffy up.
Two new villains make a great entrance this week with fascinating designs and a great comedic bit when they're summoned in the process of receiving their orders. I'm going to headcanon that being pulled through without getting fully dressed yet is what happened to Gunko. Also Sommers has medals all the way down to his boots after he's dressed. It's a fun detail.
But the real interest here is the new summoning circle lore. People can't go without a "mark," but some inanimate objects can be pulled in. It makes this mysterious mark a double-edged sword - giving the freedom of fast travel, but but also vulnerability of being pulled in against your will any moment after you've been branded. Hey, I wonder if we'll see the good guys exploit that at some point to eject a particularly dangerous WG enemy? And what would have happened if the guys Brook went to for the timeskip had actually stumbled onto the number for a Holy Knight or even an Elder?
We also learn a little bit about the structure of the Holy Knights. Shamrock sends a request up the chain for backup, it gets relayed by his superiors to the other Knights, evidenced by Sommers and Killingham arriving while in conversation with someone else, and with new orders for Shamrock. It's an opaque system for the Knights, and must put some frustrating limits on their autonomy that the plan can be changed so suddenly. Curious about the summoning circle being called an Abyss too. Does the word they use for that in Japanese reveal any connection to the "void" or "emptiness" that come up in the Harley text?
One more time it's hinted that Harald wasn't as good as he seemed. I can't think of a single good reason it would even be on the cards for Shamrock to visit his grave if he wasn't in cahoots with some of the world's worst people.
Shamrock suggesting a game before he departs is curious. The hunting game from God Valley is the first thing that comes to mind, but how does that work for an abduction mission? Or a nation you plan to subjugate rather than exterminate. Hunting giants for sport will not result in an army of giants for the WG. Hunting giant children for sport will make the adults only marginally more cooperative than if they were dead. There must be something else on the cards.
As setup chapters go, this was a fun one. Looking forward to seeing where Oda's taking it all next week.

Not a doctor, but trying to use my experience as a long term Anxiety Disorder Haver to figure out what could have happened to Jason in Gotham War. Listen, I know comic book science is made up, but let me have my 'fun'.
This is also a lot about how trauma and anxiety chemically works and Jason and Trauma in general.
(Discussing my own anxiety disorder a lot here, so don't click if that might be upsetting. Also please minimize the Bruce discourse here. I wanna talk about Jason.)
EDITS because I wrote this in a fugue state and replaced all words with homonyms
So there's two main elements to anxiety. There's the emotional element, the kind you can deal with in therapy, and the physical element, the kind you can deal with via medication.
I related a lot to Jason in Gotham War, because I have very physical anxiety. Even when I can calmly reason through a situation, my nervous system is very physically reactive to the point where I'll be holding a conversation and cracking jokes while seizing. Unmedicated, like Jason, I couldn't do light exercise without triggering a panic attack.
What Jason seems to be experiencing is an issue with his nervous system. To massively oversimplify, because I'm not a doctor, let's say the sympathetic nervous system is the gas, the parasympathetic system is the brakes, and triggers are the foot that decides when to push the pedals down.
When you're in a situation where you need to be amped up, your body hits the gas. You get adrenaline, faster heart rate, fight or flight, but this state isn't sustainable. First, it's very resource intensive. Second, it's a state designed to Do Something, and is very emotionally stressful if there's nothing to Do. This is why people with anxiety disorders can often function in actual danger, because that's what those reactions are designed for.
PTSD is pretty much 'your body hits the gas because your brain has misidentified a safe situation as a dangerous one due to previous experience'. Jason pretty consistently shows signs of PTSD, which makes sense. He has pretty much never been in a safe situation. Even before he was a vigilante and brutally murdered, being homeless, especially as a kid, requires constant vigilance. Most people of any age develop a level of PTSD after living homeless. Witnessing the death of a parent, (depending on the canon) growing up in an abusive home, and being homeless again while brain damaged and vulnerable could all cause PTSD on their own.
We see Jason be triggered a number of times. We also see him trying to self sooth and manage, to 'hit the brakes'. The 'breath deep' on his door in the new Boy Wonder, his stack of books on trauma and chronic pain management in Three Jokers, ect.
So Jason's already got his foot on the mental pedal. He's already scared, and for good reason. His world has always, always been violent. His behavior in Gotham War looks a lot less like ZEA!Bruce turned up the engine and a lot more like he cut the brakes.
As somebody who's experienced the 'lightly jog, and you have a panic attack', it's pretty much a failure of the parasympathetic side of things. You want some adrenaline for a light run. You need to take in more oxygen, but, when your nervous system isn't regulating, it goes out of control. It keeps amping up until you're breathing so fast that you aren't actually processing the oxygen you're taking in. These heightened states are rough on your whole body. When your body is running danger mode, it's not supporting things like sleep, digestion, and wound-healing.
What makes this more horrifying is ZEA!Bruce seemed to feel this would be permanent, even if Jason tried to reverse it, which means it wasn't just an injection the system would flush. To me, the most logical conclusion would be that the injection would have done permanent damage to the parts of his brain that kick in the parasympathetic nervous system.
This also... wouldn't keep him from killing. Jason is usually a calm killer, not a passion killer. Physical excitement is what the body is supposed to do in violent situations. It's much more likely to cause a panic attack in a safe situation where there's no physical outlet. He can take a shot without nervous system excitement. It would keep him from, or at least interfere with things like: -Jogging -Having sex -Watching emotionally intense media -Handling triggers Like, he definitely wouldn't be able to operate as Red Hood because RH does intel work, extended battles, etc, but he could very much kill.
SSRI's probably would not be that helpful, a serotonin tends to help more with stopping anxiety at the 'thought spiral' part than dealing with the nervous system. SNRI's and beta blockers would be a better bet, though Bruce clearly didn't think those would be enough to let him operate at Red Hood.
So... how is he better? Well, the actual answer is 'comic are bullshit', but let's try and roll with it. The given reason is Joker Gas, which is odd because Joker Gas seems to function like... a neurotoxin? A stimulant? My best guess would be that dying or brain damage in general is kicking in some sort of residual Lazarus healing factor and repairing the physical structure that controls the parasympathetic system.
#anxiety disorder#jason todd#gotham war#just finished my last project for class#jason's death thing#actually brain science people please correct me#i'm just doing my best as an experienced insane person

this just started as me wanting to complain about the work it takes to prep a house to sell but now it's kind of an au
@taznovembercelebration
Day 15: vampire au/last
Kravitz is moving for possibly the last time in his very, very long life, and he ruminates a little on what got him to this point.
Read it on AO3
Barry drops another cardboard box into the growing sea of stuff in the garage. “One thing I wish I'd considered before becoming immortal was all the moving.”
“Tell me about it,” Taako says, writing his name on a piece of painter's tape and slapping it on a garbage bag of clothes. “One second I'm joining my hot ancient vampire boyfriend in his immortal curse, and next thing I know, I've moved fifteen times in the last hundred years.”
“We haven't moved fifteen times,” Kravitz skirts around him with another box. “This is only number ten.”
“That's still too many.”
He drops the box on top of Barry's. “It wasn't nearly this much work when it was just me in apartments and such. But four times the people, four times the stuff.”
Taako points at him, “this is the last time. New vamps, new start, new system. Taako can't be doing all this physical labour every couple of years for eternity.”
Barry leans against a stack of boxes. “Maybe this is why you deemed immortality a curse. You've been spending your eternal life doing one of the worst chores an adult can do.” Kravitz just shrugs. Barry says, “this'll be good. The land's nice and far from any prying eyes, and the house Magnus and Julia designed is beautiful.”
“No! More! Moves!” Taako chants.
“Okay,” Lup comes into the garage, “Magnus is on his way with the truck and reinforcements, so he'll start taking loads of stuff to the new house. Stager comes tomorrow, carpets get cleaned Wednesday, pictures Thursday, and we're in business by the weekend.”
“Let's sell this bitch,” Taako says.
A few months later, the old house has sold, and they're settling into their new, custom-built home. Kravitz is sitting out back, watching Lup and Taako argue about toppings by the pizza oven. His heart swells.
He'd been alone for so long. As far as he knew, he was the only vampire left. His life became an exhausting, monotonous dance of isolation. Running from place to place the moment he felt any whiff of suspicion in his direction. But then he met Taako. Handsome, wondrous, stubborn Taako.
Kravitz had wanted to run the moment he realised Taako had taken an interest. But when he started packing his things and looking for a new place, for the first time in centuries, he hesitated. Taako was the first interesting thing to happen to him in ages. Maybe he deserved to have a little fun.
“A little fun” quickly turned into deep, unavoidable love. So Kravitz tried to blow it up. He told Taako they couldn't be together, he walked away and blocked his number and ran. But Taako isn't so easily swayed. Through avenues that Kravitz is still in the dark about, he tracked him down and banged on his door until he was granted entry and an explanation. So Kravitz told him what he was. He told him they couldn't be together because Taako would age and Kravitz wouldn't and after a few decades he would be alone again. He didn't want to know a life of companionship if he was going to lose it in the blink of an eye.
And Taako laughed. He laughed until he had tears trickling down his face. He said, “you thought I didn't know? Babe, the moment you brought me home I knew. I don't give a fuck, all my friends are freaks.”
Kravitz met Taako's friends, and they all seemed normal to him. “Magnus?”
“Werewolf. And Julia.”
“Davenport?”
“Shapeshifter.”
“Merle?”
“Fae.”
“Lucretia?”
“Merfolk.”
Kravitz hesitates, because there's no way he's anything but human, but he has to ask, “Barry?”
“I'll give you three guesses.”
“...no.” Taako smirked. Kravitz stared at him wide-eyed. “There's absolutely no way.”
“Full blooded vampire.”
“Full blooded?!”
“The man has never had a drop of human blood in his veins.”
Kravitz pushed his hands into his hair. “I thought I was the only one left.”
Taako patted his back, “you just didn't know where to look.”
He looked at Taako. “Are you…?”
“I'm the only full human in the group.”
“What about Lup?”
“We still don't really know what she did, but she kind of Danny Phantom-ed herself and has been able to willingly shift to a phantasmal form for a few years now, so,” he shrugs, “she's human, but also maybe half dead? I try not to think about it too much.”
That conversation, as… mind blowing as it was, was the start of the rest of Kravitz's life. Taako made some very compelling arguments and convinced him to come back and try again. It was just under a year after that when he turned Taako. He was hesitant to do it, but was convinced when Taako reminded him that all his friends were immortal, and if he wasn't going to do it, he'd go to Barry, “and I'm not into him like that, so I'd rather not.”
On the back porch, watching the twins, Kravitz finally understands the concept of a forever home. Why spend eternity running when you could travel and have fun and do much more pleasant things than packing? And why not give yourself a soft place to land when you need to rest?
Barry comes outside and sits next to him, holding out a drink. “They're still at it?”
Kravitz takes it. “Yeah. Though they've moved from olives to anchovies.”
Barry chuckles and shakes his head. “I think they'll still be arguing about it when the next ice age comes around.”
Kravitz laughs, and they sit in a comfortable silence for a while. “Hey Barry. You've been around a while.”
“Sure have.”
“So you've been navigating life as an immortal for a long time. Like, almost as long as I have.”
“You've got maybe two hundred years on me, but yeah.”
“Then why the fuck did you let me move the four of us through ten houses in the last hundred years?!”
Barry laughs long and loud. He sighs. “Oh, my god,” he wipes a stray tear away, “I was wondering if you'd put that together.”
“Well?!”
“Oh, man,” he clears his throat. “You'd been on your own for so long, and set in your ways, and so afraid of being discovered, we thought it'd be best to do things your way for a while. To let you get used to us and the group and what have you.”
Kravitz narrows his eyes. Barry bites his lip like he's trying not to laugh again. “There's more. Spill it, Bluejeans.”
“Lup and I made a bet on how many moves Taako could go through before it got to him.” He takes a sip of his drink. “I won, for once.”
Kravitz considers this. “What'd you win?”
He smirks. “You don't want to know.”
“Ugh!” Kravitz stands. “Gross, I don't want to know about your sex bets.”
“I didn't say anything about sex!”
“A non answer is still an answer,” he turns to go back inside, “next time just lie and say money!”
Barry shouts after him, “this is your life forever now!”

Hello Myu!!!
Can I request a riano headcanon from a supa strikas?
Because there is very little content related to it on this platform.
Bye <3
riano headcanons
GODD U DONT KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM TO WRITE THIS LIKE LITERALLY IM VIBRATING I LOVE BARKA SO MUCH SILLY LITTLE PURPLE MEN CKSMDMKSMSMSM—

honestly i bet he's kinda the guy who the media would portray as a big flirt/playboy superstar but deep down is a hopeless romantic and genuinely cares about making deep connections with other people. but this desire for emotional connection is what also makes him an inherent people-pleaser, he has to give the people what they want or else they won't want to be around him anymore!
this was his genuine thought process when his mentor relationship with golare started going a bit abusive. his team literally had to tell him that the way golare was forcing his body wasn't good for him and help riano gain the backbone to fire him. (he missed their friendship deeply throughout that time, golare was like a father figure to him)
once golare had been reinstated as barka's coach however, it was all water under the bridge for riano. he was genuinely happy to have his friend back, and to see goldie (the fish he bought golare) doing so well. seeing goldie being well taken care of reassured riano that the friendship he had with golare wasn't one-sided.
anyways barka fc are like his brothers, they all look out for each other in a way (i.e. riano offering free rides/being the designated driver at club outings). but they care for him in return, serving as a support system so that he doesn't crumble under the constant media attention.
should i mention that i don't really see riano as an alcohol drinker? he goes to the clubs purely for the vibes and to enjoy a night out with his teammates. (hah gay)
loves fun drinks though, give that man some sort of cool mocktail and he'll be all over it taking cool aesthetic pictures for his instagram, or whatever the instagram equivalent is in supa strikas.
speaking of his instagram, he loves posting about literally anything that piques his interest, yeah he does some usual behind the scenes posts during practice or after winning a game and whatnot, but he also likes bringing his fans along to see some of his other interests like the weekly latin dance classes he's been taking up. or he'll see a cool bird and post it to his story real quick i dunno—
random thought but this man could rock a pair of stilettos no problem.
source: the one time riano actually managed to get blackout drunk he pulled a whole choreographed drag routine out of his ass, including the black 10 inch high stilettos of course. they have a video of it but they don't dare post it online, it's a team inside joke only >:((
golare has seen the video though and compliments riano on being a good dancer, and riano rues the fact that he was so drunk he forgot the literal routine, he wants to do it again ://.
anyways i'd like to think that riano is a very honorable woman respecter, when girls flirt with him he only discourages it when it goes a little too far (words are one thing, touching him is another). but his type is definitely someone more down-to-earth.
man, woman, whatever else it doesn't matter to him. once a person catches his eye he'll do his best to get closer, he likes to be friends first before progressing into anything romantic. wants to get to know them and let them know him typa thing, no need to rush.
once he does get to that stage though he becomes a hoe for hand holding, or when his partner wraps their arm around his. vice versa as well the man loves his physical affection. wants to reassure his partner that no matter how the media portrays him he will remain loyal no matter what.
deep down i'd like to think he dates with marriage/the future in mind but he won't force it if he does end up reaching a romantic stage with his partner.
#supa strikas#supa strikas riano#supa strikas headcanons#i wanna do more barka hc's ngl they're so silly and not talked about#(aka their goalie cough cough)#riano is such a sweetheart deep down pls love him#silly little spanish man take me by the hand#myu writes 🌸

anyways I literally hate the ruin lore so much I ended up deciding to sketch out some practice designs for the AU in my head :^) (and Springtrap)
read more for fun au facts
-Glitchtrap is the result of Springtraps processor being scanned - Springtrap did in fact survive the Fazbear's Fright fire, but was rendered inactive by it until Aftons subconscious was uploaded and freed once more.
-Scraptrap is the mimic, who was trapped in the PS location and rendered inactive by the fire and heavily damaged
-Vanny is an actual threat, who murders kids in an attempt to build burntrap and make it a viable physical host for Afton (which fails)
-the patpats are possessed by various kids who were murdered and used as experiments before building burntrap. they are unaware of glitchtrap or of Vanessa being Vanny, and unwittingly tend to lead new kids into more danger.
-MXES is an advanced, self-learning and highly adaptable security system made by Henry to try and prevent anyone from getting into the PS location after his death. rather than being located where it can be reached, the main security console is located in the very centre of the PS location.
-Burntrap ends up being taken control of by the MXES due to his close proximity to the PS location as a means of defending the location further - this, however, ends up alerting Afton to MXES' presence and piquing his curiosity.
-Afton has Vanny attempt to breach MXES' security and gain its attention, allowing him to take control and merge with it while its distracted. this gives him even more power and enables him and Vanny to access the PS location easily.
-Vanny and Afton discover the mimic, and Afton decides they need to investigate it - tasking Vanny with repairing and refurbishing it, as well as investigating any abilities the strange endoskeleton has that could prove useful as a potential new body since burntrap wasn't proving useful as a potential vessel. In the meantime, he now has a different digital form and more ability to cause chaos and problems.
-the VANNI network is not an actual thing made by Fazbear ent, it was made by William and Vanny and is used to lure and trick people via the mimic once it's refurbished. it doesn't enable the wearer to walk through solid objects and only acts as a way to access information from Faz ent. servers without having to bypass any security manually. there are some AR aspects but mostly in the way of little notes which cannot be seen without it.
-Afton can switch between the original MXES form or his preferred one - though he only uses the original while the VANNI mask is being actively used to lure someone into the old and ruined pizzaplex.
-Gregory sneaks into the pizzaplex because he's concerned about Vanessa, who is his much older half-sister, and hasn't been acting normal for quite a while.
-Gregory is under aftons control, and the only reason he isn't dead is because Vanessa was given 2 options: Afton would kill him as Vanny, or she could agree to allow Afton to take residence in his brain instead of hers until a suitable replacement body is found.
#fnaf#Springtrap#fnaf au#Scraptrap#MXES#listen. afton deserves to still be the main antagonist#scott didnt utilize him to his utmost and it makes me sad#still working out a lot of details but the basics are there#i reject the mimic as a main antagonist its stupid and i hate it#also the sci fi is toned the fuck down because i get scott likes scifi but jesus the guy overdoes it#my shit#my art#doodles mostly for now#might make some more small changes to the afton mxes at some point but for now i need a break#au in my head had enough

"Okay Ofiuco, you've had your fun. If we keep creating monster data then we're going to put the servers at risk..." One wary Star remarked to the artificial one as she remained rooted before a series of terminals and screens. While she looked like a human Ofiuco's body was an android. She didn't need to eat nor sleep and so she'd been that exact same spot for three weeks now.
She didn't reply to their badgering however, fingers instead typing a mile a minute on the keyboard. That was suspicious to say the least. "...What happened?" The woman may have been an android but she was more of a human than she had ever been emotionally. Playing coy was not like her. At least unless she was hiding something.
Silence lingered a moment but she did eventually reply. "Someone accessed our systems through a backdoor. It isn't NULL. I don't know who. But they aren't attacking the city or the subjects." That was an urgent thing to report, but her voice remained still despite it. "They've... mixed a code in with the Spiramonsters. It seems to be harmless for now, but..."
"Delete them."
"The Spiramonsters? But they've bonded with the subjects, wouldn't that be cru-"
"You need to delete them. They're taking up too much space to begin with."
"I... I can't." It wasn't so much a refusal to carry out the task as it was an admittance of impossibility. "That code string is disrupting the deletion command. I can't even access it... But I suppose I could..." Fingers typed furiously once more as command box after command box danced across the monitors. "There. I moved their data off of the island. It'll work temporarily, but..." From the perspective of everyone in the city it would have looked like the event had simply ended.
This gave the other Star pause. "Where did you move their data? Our resources aren't so diverse that... Wait, you didn't move the data there, did you?" Their eyes narrowed at the android. Ofiuco didn't return the look.
"Lagrange 1... Behind the moon."
TO BE CONTINUED...
———————
WHAT HAS HAPPENED FROM THE CHARACTERS' POV?
More or less what usually happens! All relevant activities are shut down, and this case the Spiramonsters disappear. Despite what happens in the conclusion's lore, those who have obtained a Spiragotchi from the event rewards will still be able to interact with their Spiramonster through it for the time being.
TO BE CONTINUED?
As we mentioned from the beginning this event is the first in two connected events. The sequel will not be the same genre but will use some elements established in this conclusion and, yes, the Spiramonsters will be making a return! The sequel event will run beginning August 11th.
WILL WE EVER GET TO KEEP THE SPIRAMONSTERS?
In what capacity is still something being discusses, but after the next event they will be able to be interacted with physically once more at your leisure. Much like Fantasia forms from the Fantasia War event, new members will still be able to design Spiramonsters for their characters after the fact too.
ANY HINTS ABOUT THE SEQUEL?
Not specifically, but Google "Lagrange Point" to get an idea of where things may be heading! We'll be unveiling a relevant new Branch at the beginning of August before the event starts so that everyone can be more familiar with what's to come!
I DIDN'T GET 500 WORDS IN MY EVENT CHALLENGE THREADS BEFORE THE EVENT ENDED!
If you still need to claim the reward from the event challenges, you have until the sequel event begins on the 11th to get that word count! You don't need to claim this prize in the Galaxy box, just add the Stars and Spiragotchi to your character's inventory and link to the relevant threads on your Star count page!

Something that I don't talk a lot about is the games I've designed, in part because they were all designed several years ago and I've just not really had the time to talk about them. But I designed B.A.S.E for the Far Horizons Collection 2 Volume 1. The basic idea of B.A.S.E was to create a pretty generic war game that anybody could play and didn't require specific miniatures or terrain. It had rules for creating units and it was a point cost system. It also has several examples of different types of games that could be played. I was, at this point in time, extremely into various wargames like Warhammer 40k, Bloodbowl, and Frost Grave. The game itself also pulled influences from X-com 2, Heroscape and Battle for Wesnoth. It uses a hex grid and each unit can move a certain number of hexes, and a d100 roll under system. I had plans to branch out and use B.A.S.E as an engine for a bunch of themed war games but lost interest in it. But I am super proud of it because like it was the first game I designed! And all of the math checked out and seemed pretty fair (I never actually got a chance to play it and haven't heard of anybody else playing it). I think the thing that sticks out to me the most about B.A.S.E though is that it's such an oddball game when you look at the other games in the collection + the games my fellow collaborators at the co-op have designed - the biggest one coming to mind for me right now is the recent Outliers, which came from our Ten Thousand Burning Stars series. Their games tend to be way more artistic than a war game where you just mash your action figures against your friends' action figures. Even the person editing BASE was like "having something like this, a more left field contribution, is so cool." But it was still an eye opener for me that the kind of games I liked to design were different from the games others in the co-op like to design. Especially considering I remember being worried that it wasn't going to get picked up for editing.
But my second game was actually way more in line with what I personally would expect from the Far Horizons Co-Op. The basic concept behind 42N8 was developed as part of the #fuckAdobe Game Jam, and was in response to Adobe changing their policy on stock art. Each person in the jam was assigned a random stock image to develop a game around. In my case it was a bunch of business people sitting around a glowing orb, which is what the cover image is. At the time I was thinking so much about how I hated the stock market - and how it compares to NFTs (I'm pretty sure NFTs were just starting to take off around the time I published 42n8). The invisible hand of the market might as well shake a Magic 8-ball to determine which stocks go up or down. I was also, at the time interested in exploring ways to generate outcomes that weren't based on a numbered dice and WEREN'T tarot cards or playing cards. So I went out and bought a physical magic 8ball (which I still have) to play test the game. I realized that I could also make the game work with a d20, since that's basically what a Magic 8-Ball is, so I included a table assigning the numbers on a d20 to a corresponding result on the magic 8 ball. It was extremely fun to write and it's basically a solo journaling game reflecting on capitalism. Funnily enough it also features a mechanic that can only be replicated on an 8-Ball. Sometimes during my play test I noticed that the Magic 8-Ball would produce an edge of the d20 inside instead of an actual result so I ended up incorporating that into the game. These are both really cool games and I think you should check them out

Bloody Desire ੈ♡˳ | vampire! Eddie Munson x fem! reader
Summary: your best friend has turned into a vampire and one night in the huge mansion where he lives many things will happen.
Warnings: smut, protected sex, first time, Eddie biting the reader, oral (female receiving), fingering.
A/N: I absolutely love vampires and there are no words to describe how much fun I had writing this. Enjoy! ♡

IT WAS TWO O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING, on a long summer night that reached California. You were in the kitchen of the winding mansion where your best friend since high school lived: Eddie Munson.
He was not loved at all, neither respected in that small town, and there weren't many opportunities for him to live there either. As soon as he could, he moved to California and met cool guys who asked him to join a thrash metal band. During a concert in 1987, on backstage some unruly fan entered and bit Eddie's neck, then bit hee own wrist and bled from the bite, turning him into a vampire.
Very few people knew about Eddie's situation. The guys in the band, you and Dustin.
As soon as Eddie was turned into a vampire you were still living in Hawkins, but he begged you to move to California to be closer to him now that he was in such a complicated life situation. To him, vampires only existed in books.
It had been almost two years since he had turned into a night creature, it was 1989. The mansion he lived in had a Gothic design and was right in front of a lonely beach.
He was just getting used to the life of being a vampire and having to drink blood to feed himself. But it wasn't the same as being a human being, it would never be again. He was a famous guitar player and a vampire, the kind all girls wanted. He hadn't changed a thing in his physical appearance and a lot was different from the books. He used to get the sun normally, he just didn't like it much. He felt better at night, he didn't have a weakness for garlic.
— Let me get this straight... do you sleep in a coffin? — you questioned in disbelief, sitting on the kitchen counter while you drank coffee and you listened to the waves of the sea very close.
— If I'm a vampire I have to do it right, yeah? — he chuckled, taking a sip of his coffee as well. It no longer had an effect on his system but it was tasty.
— Do you sleep there every day?
— Not exactly. I have a room with a coffin and everything, I have guest rooms and a room for me normal with a "normal bed" — he explained a little more about how it worked and talked about how comfortable his red-stuffed coffin was.
You were sleeping in one of the guest rooms, it had been two days since you went to his house to spend time together, just like old times.
— Shit, I think my blood supply is running low... — he remembered and huffed, running a hand over his slightly irritated face. — Will you go to the butcher shop with me tomorrow? So we can buy animal blood for me.
— Why don't you take people's blood?
He frowned, looking you up and down with a disbelieving look on his face.
— I've done this a lot, but... you know... — he began to walk into the kitchen, even climbing the walls and standing upside down on the ceiling. He walked so far he didn't even notice. — My fangs have poison...
— Kill people? Turn into a vampire?
— No. To turn someone into a vampire you have to bite and bleed from the wound...
— So what's in the poison?
— When I bite people my fangs release a poison that works as a stimulant and makes them horny. So I strongly avoid doing that — he said that as if he were disappointed in himself.
A strange silence reigned in that room but your mind liked to play tricks, so you were excited by that hypothesis and seeing is believing. Or rather, feeling is believing. You sighed and gave him a good look because you were ready to make a decision.
In fact, you were never the type of person who talked or made risky decisions, maybe you were more willing because of the dawn. Don't take this the wrong way, you were in your full mental faculties but your mind seemed to be without that "filter".
— Are you hungry now?
— Why are you asking me that?
— Are you hungry now? — you asked again, considering hesitating but remained firm in your questioning.
Eddie took a deep breath, huffed and looked away from yours for a few seconds before running his left hand through that wavy, unruly hair and saying:
— Yes baby, yes, I am.
— You can feed on me if you want...
— Y/N THAT'S OUT OF THE QUESTION AND YOU... YOU ARE A VIRGIN, I WON'T DO THAT TO YOU! — he said desperately, making random movements with his hand, gesturing nervously.
You decided to move on, you couldn't pass up this "golden opportunity" that life was giving you. You took advantage of the fact that he was right in front of you while you were still sitting on the kitchen counter and decided to shut him up with a calm kiss. At first Eddie seemed to stall, not least because you were pure and innocent and he was a creature of darkness.
He would hate to know he was taking advantage of your purity in a moment of weakness.
But then he returned the kiss, making your lips look like it was dancing due to the timing and the movements. Eddie's hot tongue invaded your mouth and he seemed to want to explore every part while his soft lips were on yours. The kiss was smacking, smacking softly in the kitchen.
You moaned softly during those foreplay as his hands explored your body. Apparently he was afraid to touch you and not control his vampiric instincts, but you took his hands and placed them on your waist.
— Please touch me... — you said during the kiss, against his mouth. The tone of voice was needy.
He couldn't deny that it made him horny. The way you moaned softly to his caresses made him numb. Obviously because of the powers he could hear your heart beating very fast and he could hear the blood flowing through your veins.
— I won't do anything you don't want to baby. You can relax... — he said while trailing kisses down your jaw to your neck.
— I know you won't hurt me... — you said, resting your hands on his shoulders as he held your thighs, squeezing lightly.
You wore a thin, short white dress. It was a silk-like fabric and now that your nipples were tight he could see clearly beneath the fabric. His mouth watered and he was even more willing to taste your blood.
He gently sucked on the delicate skin of your neck, leaving a visible hickey as he licked and kissed. Those caresses were driving you crazy.
— Are you ready? — he questioned looking into your eyes with those Belgian chocolate colored eyes.
You nodded as you licked your bottom lip.
He continued kissing your neck slowly, while squeezing your thighs lightly and you hugged his shoulders, pulling him closer. You cried out in pleasure and then bit your bottom lip as you felt his fangs tearing your flesh. It hurt, but it was quite bearable.
The pain was something like an injection, at first annoying but then it turned into something pleasurable. You felt a slight pressure at the bite site as he was sucking blood. He felt your blood flow through his fangs, he could taste you on his tongue and nothing made him happier than that.
He moaned softly against your neck as he squeezed your thighs more firmly and pulled you closer, making the thin fabric of your panties touch his erection under the jeans. He was getting real hard, not just because of your shy moans, but also because of your blood. And you were getting horny too.
— Your blood is the best thing I've ever tasted baby you're so sweet... — he licked his lips and wiped his mouth with the back of one hand.
The bite mark was present on your neck and it burned a little, but it would soon stop. The horny was talking louder in your body and you didn't even notice when a little blood ran down your neck, onto your breasts and stained crimson on your dress.
— Oh no baby... I stained your pretty dress... — he said in a horny voice as he ran his fingertips over the straps of your dress.
You were panting and could barely form a sentence. You were already horny before and was even more horny after the bite.
— No problem... — you said, still breathing hard.
— Then I buy another one for you... — he said as he kissed your neck again, licking the blood that had flowed.
— Bite me more... — you begged, closing your eyes and feeling waves of pleasure wash over your body.
— Excuse me?
— Bite me more please...
— As you wish, my baby...
He kept kissing your neck with greater greed this time, and he moaned fiercely against your flesh as you moaned in a cute way. He slipped the straps of your dress down, lowering it to your belly. Your breasts were now visible to him.
— Fuck... — he cursed while looking at your body.
He leaned you back slightly, not enough to make you lie down on the counter. He wrapped an arm behind your back, holding you tightly, leaving your back slightly arched and your breasts more exposed. The other hand remained holding your thigh and kisses went to your breasts.
— Yes... oh my God... — you moaned, rolling your eyes as you felt him suck one breast and massage the other.
He was alternating between sucking and kissing. His hand, which was on your thigh, slid dangerously along the soft inner part of your thigh, reaching for your thin panties. He pleasured you in so many different ways at the same time.
He started to kiss a little further up your breast, away from your nipple. And when you least expected it, you felt that hot pain once again. He bit your breast slowly and was slowly sucking the blood.
His fingers, who had been caressing your inner thigh, slid down to your panties, setting them aside and running his fingertips through your pussy lips.
— E-Eddie... fuck! — you swore slyly as you moaned and rolled your eyes in pleasure.
Then you felt his fingers penetrate your wet insides. A little scream of surprise left your lips as you grabbed his shoulders. His long fingers filling your insides made you push your hips in search of more.
He made smooth back and forth movements, but very effective as they hit your sensitive spot several times in a row. It was being an incredible mix of sensations there, pleasurable fucking sensations.
Feel Eddie drinking your blood biting your breast as he fingered you it was by far the best thing you could experience. And it didn't take long for you to feel like you were going to come.
— I'm coming, I'm coming! — you cried out in pure pleasure feeling the knot in your stomach burst as he made more intense back-and-forth moves.
Your pussy was now practically dripping, but you were still far from satisfied. There was some blood running down your breasts, but he licked it, to "clean you up."
— Did you like it? — he asked, placing a kiss on your chest.
— I loved it!
— Don't worry, there's still more... — he brought his lips to your ear and whispered. — Much more...
He wrapped your legs around his hips, holding you tight as he picked you up and led you through the house, up the stairs to his bedroom. You hugged his neck and bit your bottom lip as you smiled, looking forward to what would come next.
Eddie's room had a Victorian Gothic design, it was a typical vampire room from the books, like Dracula for example. A huge wall of glass with half-sheer white curtains that were open, giving a splendid view of the shady beach. There were no big waves and you could see the bright full moon glistening in the sea water, shining in a way that seemed to delight you.
It really brightened up the room which had a large crystal chandelier on the ceiling, some white roses in a vase next to the bed. Talking about the bed, it was very spacious and the sheets were Egyptian cotton in a shade of black mixed with crimson, and the cushions and pillows were as comfortable as a cloud. There was also a large mirror with a detailed gold frame next to a huge bookcase with several books and his classic red guitar.
Apparently, everything in Eddie's room made you feel comfortable, it was an incredibly beautiful and well decorated room.
He laid you down comfortably on the bed, returning kisses to your body. He kissed your neck slowly, then went down to your chest, your stomach and he made sure to remove the dress from your body completely, leaving only your panties.
You brought your hands to the hem of the black shirt he was wearing and pulled it off his body, leaving him with his chest exposed. He was too handsome, always has been.
He slid his fingertips down your waist, wrapping his fingers around the hem of your panties and pulling them out, sliding them down your legs. Now you were totally naked for him.
— I always wanted so much to kiss your body... — he said in a hoarse tone of voice, altered by lust.
He lay down on the bed, putting his head right between your legs, throwing them over his shoulders. He kissed the inside of your thigh passionately as you tightened the soft sheets on the bed and moaned, throwing your head back on the pillow.
Until it didn't take long to feel him bite the sensitive flesh of that part. You screamed in surprise once again, that hot pain was going to end up becoming your addiction.
Your blood flowed through his fangs, causing his pupils to dilate.
He stopped drinking your blood and licked up the blood that had oozed from the small wound his fangs had inflicted. Now you had three bite marks on your body, it was worth every one.
Quickly, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and made his way to your pussy with wet kisses. You were very needy and you longed to feel his mouth there the way you had felt his fingers.
He started eating you out slowly, which caused your back to arch and a highly pornographic moan to leave your lips as you grabbed his hair. His nose rubbed against your pussy subtly as his tongue moved up and down inside you.
His soft lips were working wonders down there and he was moaning against your pussy. Low wet sounds filled the room as he ate you with desire. Every time you moaned he did it more intensely. It would be impossible not to come in that man's — vampire — mouth at any moment.
You felt like you could touch the sky with just that.
His mouth was doing it more voraciously now, while his nose was still rubbing against your clit.
— Come on my face baby — he asked with a half muffled voice against your pussy and holding your waist, bringing you closer.
You felt another wave of pleasure hit your body and your legs trembled slightly as you came in his mouth, leaving his face luscious with your sweet content. He ran his tongue several times, not wanting to waste a single drop.
— As sweet as your blood... — he smirked, and got out of bed.
He went to a table in the bedroom and opened a drawer, taking out a condom. He held the condom package in his teeth as he unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants. You enjoyed watching him lower his pants along with his boxers, leaving his hard cock visible.
His erection throbbed and was practically touching his stomach. The rosy glans was wet with pre-cum and you also noticed some veins.
He walked over to the bed, standing right beside you and ripped open the condom package with his teeth as he looked at you. That was more than enough to make you sigh. Seeing him "getting dressed" made you want to cross your legs.
— If it hurts too much you tell me I'll stop baby — he said, lying on top of you and enveloping you in a passionate kiss. The metallic taste of blood had already passed.
As he kissed you passionately, he held your thighs subtly, positioning himself better between your legs. You hugged his back on impulse. And you moaned against his lips at the feel of him inside you.
He was nothing small. But your body supported him incredibly well, it was a perfect fit. As if you were made for each other.
He stood there for a minute, waiting for you to adjust to his length.
— Can I move?
— Y-Yes... please... — you asked and bit your bottom lip as you felt him start to move back and forth inside you.
He moved slowly at first so it wouldn't hurt so much. It hurt a little, yes, but it was bearable pain, which soon turned into just heady pleasure. As well as the bites.
Eddie was doing this with as much affection as he could and was kissing your neck often to quell the pain. His moans were music to your ears and he loved how tight you were.
You moaned right next to his ear, that was making him more motivated to continue. The pace was increasing as you asked for it. Your nails scratched his back without meaning to.
— I-I'm sorry — you said with difficulty seeing the way he moaned and closed his eyes tightly feeling that unexpected bodily stimulation.
— You can keep scratching my back baby, don't mind if you bleed — he said in a tone filled with pleasure and lust as he watched your body and the way your hips bumped against his.
You hugged his back again and scratched in a way that made him more excited, so he went faster. He was hitting your g-spot in an unbelievable way, making you on the verge of orgasm.
The sound of your bodies along with moans and curses filled the room, there was nothing better than that and his back was bleeding. Your nails were doing delicious damage there.
— So tight…fuck! — he cursed. — You're so hot baby, I love this pretty pussy!
You would never imagine that you would be totally surrendered to the charms of a vampire and that you would give your virginity to him. But here you are.
— Please, make me come again — you said with some difficulty as you felt your body shudder beneath him.
— Come for me again baby — he said, taking your arms and positioning them above your head, gripping your wrist tightly.
You moaned desperately and could barely form a sentence. It felt like all your thoughts were jumbled up in your mind because of the pleasure he was giving you.
He was watching all your facial expressions, and the way you kept your lips parted and moaned with your eyes tightly closed left him ecstatic.
— Eddie I'm coming, I'm coming! Fuck! — you cried out in pure pleasure for the third time that night, feeling yourself melt on his cock.
Your legs trembled around his hips, your back arched and your eyes closed tightly once more, that wave of pleasure slammed into you brutally. Your breathing was totally uneven and you were content and done.
It didn't take long for him to come too, filling the latex of the condom with his hot cum as he moaned your name in a voice filled with desire and arousal with satisfaction. He got up and went to throw the used condom in the trash can in the bathroom.
When he returned, he lay down on the bed with you, laughing like an idiot — just like you — and pulled you to his chest, hugging you tightly. He kissed the top of your head several times, you were satisfied and happy.
— Did you like it? I hope I didn't hurt you — he questioned worriedly, patting your shoulder.
— I loved it! — you hugged him enthusiastically. — Thank you, thank you, thank you!
— I'm glad you liked it baby... so... — he was speaking well but seems to have suddenly become awkward.
— So...?
— Do you wanna... like... wanna be my girlfriend? — he questioned a little shy and flustered. Regardless of whether he was no longer a human, he was still the classic Eddie. — People say that dating a best friend makes the relationship last longer and I will live for a long time.
— Of course I want! — you accepted, positioning yourself better and holding his face with one hand, pulling him into a kiss that was promptly returned.
You now had the best vampire boyfriend in the world.

tes full essay please
Alright, so the question asked by this post is - are TES games fun? Do they hold up? Are they good? And well, a game being good is mostly subjective, same for fun, as it depends on your tastes, but "does this game hold up to this day" is a different thing. For the four last main games (I'll be ignoring Arena, I know a single maniac who finds it fun) let's explore what they brought, what they lost, and what they have that's unique compared to the series.
Daggerfall
Brought: In depth character creator
Brought: Lore that'll remain for the rest of the series
Unique: gigantic map and dungeons
Daggerfall is a very interesting game that I can't call good because it's, let's be honest, a chore to play. While unmatched to this day in RPGs, it's map is endlessly generated nothing, and the dungeons are repetitive and labyrinthic.
Gameplay wise, it really shines in some aspects. The character creator gives you so many options no other game has, and some small details add wonders to the immersion, like the fast travel system giving you real time travel days. While unpopular I am also a huge fan of the swing mouse to swing sword mechanic. The controls are rough but the way they're set up favors a slow gameplay and coupled with adjustable reflexes, makes it easier to play for me than action games. Unfortunately, it's bug ridden, and the graphics have not aged well.
Is Daggerfall good? Eh. It has some gems if you can dig through the sludge, but it's aged poorly and that makes it inaccessible to modern gamers.
Morrowind
Lost: map size
Brought: map detail
Lost: customization options
Brought: full 3d, and quality of life improvements all around
Brought: new lore for the region
Unique: world design and uhm...writing quirks
Morrowind is so radically different from the change in leadership that occured after Daggerfall. While it's map is tiny in comparison, it's filled with things to do. It's a completely different philosophy. Player characters lost many customization options but it's clearer where to get things in the world.
Graphics - while polygonal to hell and back, Morrowind benefits from killer art direction that makes the game look surprisingly decent for it's age. Might make zoomers cringe but I doubt anyone who grew up playing games where you can see the texels will cringe at the visuals. The world design is so iconic it carries itself.
Gameplay wise Morrowind is aged. It's a game that can barely be played without a manual, and new players often complain about the difficulty. But if you ask me, it's not a hard game, it just works differently. If you play it like Skyrim it'll be hard. Morrowind forces you to read and to accept the rules of the world it's set in. Luckily, reading makes you understand the world. Now in terms of game feel, it's clunky as hell and below barebones.
Writing wise, Morrowind is easier to follow than Daggerfall was with a better journal and a more guided main quest. The genius of said MQ is it makes you explore the world and contact it's factions organically, as well as read into the lore. It's also a weird game, made by a bunch of guys in a basement, with quests that feel like an injoke and others that come off as offensive. It's a relic of a production that wasn't made to appeal to a large demographic, for better and for worst.
I believe Morrowind is a good game that's aged...more or less well, depending on the background of who's playing.
Oblivion
Brought: fully voiced dialog
Brought: active NPC AI
Brought: graphics improvements especially a physics engine
Lost: character skills
Lost: world design
Lost: weird shut-in appeal
Unique: main quest and game design experiments
Unique: Have You Heard Of The High Elves? Bwah! Urmf! Guhhh!
This one will be quick because...to be honest with y'all i have not played Oblivion. I have tried several times and i hate this game. Sorry TES 4 fans.
Oblivion is a weird one. At the time, it was a revolution. An open world game who was beautiful and let you dick around as you wanted. Oblivion was less weird and more forgiving than Morrowind, so had mass appeal. It had physics and voiced dialog. Everyone wanted to be Oblivion.
The problem with being a revolution for your time is computers progress at a neck breaking speed and relying only on what's impressive technology ages terribly. To prove this...have a good laugh at Oblivion's graphics. Unfortunately, the game opted to surf on LOTR visuals so has no originality, and just looks bad to this day.
Gameplay is...different. By being less strict than Morrowind and with a game feel that isn't "rolling around naked on an unpolished wooden floor", it's way more fun to run around in. Character customization lost some options, nothing too drastic unless you played Morrowind for the dressup or hardcore RP.
When you get into the writing, Oblivion has some very clever and memorable quests, unforgettable (for better and for worst) dialog and delivery, and a MQ where you play not the hero, but assistant to a hero of the lore, which I have not seen any other game attempt.
But nowadays, you don't see Oblivion known for its writing, most people know it as a big joke. Because the awkward graphics, the mess that is the dialog system and NPC AIs, make for an unmatched comedic improv experience. If you ask me, a game that's known for being goofy because of how shoddy some of its systems are...is not a good game. Unfortunately for Oblivion, gamefeel also improves as games progress and it's open world hill hopping appeal will get obliterated by the next installment.
Skyrim
Brought: more graphical improvements!
Brought: return to a nicher art direction
Brought: action game influence
Lost: RPG mechanics
Unique: Dovahkiin, dovahkiin, you know the song by now
Skyrim is funny to me as a game I remember everyone being amazed at when released. Nowadays the graphics look dated, but compared to Oblivion, it's nicher more cartoony art direction is iconic. Skyrim isn't a game that tries to be photorealistic like Oblivion did and that saves a lot of how it looks.
For the gameplay Skyrim ditched the RPG. Character customization, as in mechanics wise, is barely existing. Sure you can play different weapons but they all play similar. Builds have little influence. Choices are minimal to nonexistent. The main quest, unlike oblivion, has a cheesy chosen one story you can't escape. Asides of the daedric quests and if you do the DB, writing wise, it's pretty damn boring. The game doesn't even give you correct options to opt out of these. Skyrim assumes you play it the way it wants you to play it. If you fit that demographic, it's great! If you don't...its not fun.
The gamefeel in Skyrim is the best the series had. Taking from action games, combat was much improved and so was walking around the map, even if transportation skills were all axed. And the map is gorgeous. It's varied, it's big enough to explore without getting too lost, and it's just plain pretty.
And Skyrim has mass appeal. To the average person that doesn't care about justifying their elves action based on their complex lore rich backstory. Wandering around and slashing at things has never felt better! It's hard to meet a single person who hasn't played this game and most who did put HOURS into it.
However, the open world genre exploded several times since and took with it a lot of what made Skyrim special. Games now effortlessly make prettier maps and polished games that go all in on what exploration means. Skyrim does have its unique atmosphere, but the gameplay isn't unique enough to demark it from the rest. Someone who just wants to run around the map shooting at stuff will be better off with Far Cry who's entire gameplay is built around that. Skyrim isn't built around that. It's a large game that wants to be an RPG but doesn't give you choices. It's too rough around the edges to be a good action game. The content gets stale fast. Most people who still play it do so for the mods.
Every time I open Skyrim it's out of a deep longing for it's world and every time I close the game after 30 minutes of trying to find what to do. The atmosphere is there but the moment you take action, nothing. If you don't like killing draugr in dungeons or bandits in forts, there's just not much to do, as even city quests redirect you to those. It's a hiking simulator that doesnt do much to simulate hiking.
Currently Skyrim is the last game of the series and has been for over a decade and I believe that's why it still has any relevancy. It's success was a product of it's time like it's predecessor, it just hasn't had a successor yet. Skyrim is...not a very good game. Iconic yes, but not very good.
My conclusion
What makes these games interesting is often the features that get removed later, as basic features who remain get degraded by time as technology proves one can do them better. No TES game has aged well and the series is stagnating. That being said the earlier games sporting features not made for mass appeal but for the benefit of the game make them interesting in parts. These games nonetheless benefit from art (visuals, but also music!) that contributes to atmospheres one doesn't forget. TES has never been outstanding mechanically, but it can write a world.
If you want to experience the Morrowind high of an alien world created by basement dwellers who obliterates your first three lvl1 characters, play Kenshi. TES will never appeal to RPG nerds again.

Hello! I love your jnh designs so much! Do you have any info or a story around them?
Thank you!!! It always means a lot when people say they like the designs and even want to hear about the lil headcannons/stories I have! (I should really upload to that AO3...) I try not to deviate from the text too much but I love going nuts on their interactions and life prior to the first chapter.
so uuuuh yeah :>
Long post incoming <3 (Really)
I could go on and on about them but I'll do what is best and give some details so you won't be straining your eyes too much.
(This is actually quite long now sorry. I had too much fun with this!)
Characters:
Mr. Utterson (48/12)
-Estate planning Lawyer -Second Oldest of five (first died in childhood). Has a younger sister and two twin younger brothers. -Happily unmarried (tried but it wasn't his cup of tea). -Chinese descent (He has a Chinese name too). -Near-sighted. -Able to bend his own words to his advantage, Jekyll could only wish to be as good as him. (These are never done with hostile intent) -Different in terms of personality in comparison to his more outgoing, expressive and louder family members but he still shares their kind characteristic. -Although he often keeps to himself, he is rather nosy and invasive when it comes to his friends and those around him. -Although he is generally kind, he doesn't take things to heart, especially when it's from someone he doesn't know. Will brush it off without issue. -Doesn't like when he has to do an in person consultation with his clients, however, if it's important he may get a bit of 'liquid courage' before hand. -Not one to get physical but he did punch a kid in boarding school for trying to harm Jekyll after words failed to resolve the issue. -His ties all have different patterns on them. -Former Theatre kid however he will sometimes act out imaginary situations in the comfort of his own room. -Cheats at cards. His friends still have yet to find out how he keeps winning. -Unlike everyone else, their colour motifs are colour mixes of their parents. Uttermom is Cherry red and his Utterdad is Indigo. -Has two pet cats. A Russian Blue named Motz (short for Mozzarella or Mozart depending on who's asking) who he got after a legal issue with a couple who abandoned everything and left the country, including the cat. And a Li Hua, named Heng, which his mother gifted him so he would be less lonely at home. Victim of the universal cat distribution system.
----
Mr. Enfield (28)
-Police officer; Newcomen is his partner. -Moved from the United States to England as his mother's dying wish to get out of the dusty town. (Although smog isn't that much better...) -Was from a miner town and his dad owned the local saloon/bar. -Somewhat like his cousin, he's a stickler for the truth while also being a bit of a gossip. -As you'd expect, the exact opposite of his cousin aside from having the same strong sense of curiousity and justice (and sense of humour). -Although he gives the impression of a refined man, that is only when he doesn't speak. He's still learning the English customs. -Speaks a lot of American slang, often leaving his English counterparts confuzzled. -Unlike everyone else, their colour motifs are colour mixes of their parents. Enfield's Mom was hot pink and his Dad is matcha green.
---
Mr. Guest (29)
-Clerk -Near-sighted. -Trinidadian (after a friend <3). -Young lad who left home to pursue a career instead of what his family had planned for him. -One of the few people to both 'butt-heads' with Utterson and yet be comforting company. -Generally handles the conversational side of the job and is very good at it as a result. -Generally prefers to keep to himself but like anyone, he does enjoy going out with others to relax
----
Mr. Poole (54)
-House head/servant -Indian; Migrated to France for work. Left France once hired by the Jekyll household. -A professional of his work so well known in the butler society that many households prayed he didn't work for the Jekyll household just so he could help them. -Understanding and willing to be an ear to listen and give advice in return if asked. -Far-sighted -(According to butler work ethics, he's not really supposed to have a mustache but if I try to imagine him without one I'll perish so-) -Although Jekyll is the master of the house, Poole is the one who controls most of the tasks within it, along with the family home. -(Another note, I had to age down everyone a little just to Poole wouldn't be nearing his 60s when he kicks the door down)
----
Dr. Jekyll (46)
-Apothecary -French/Russian(Mom)+English(Dad) -Only Child (with an unknown half-brother), as well as lonely child. -Unintentionally acts like his mother whom he had a difficult relationship with growing up (Nature and Nurture sort of scenario). Father was kind but negligent. -Acts more like his *'true self' around Utterson and Lanyon on the account that he grew up with them. (*whatever that means) -Got terrified of misbehaving due to witnessing one of the maids die due to such actions (his mother told him that). Then the typical, acting out to get his parent's attention. After their death, and disappearing for three years, he mellowed out. -Has a scar on the left side of his head made during the 3 year trip at the age of 30; the draping/styling of his hair hides it. -His long hair is a coping mechanism and is styled to appear short. It is dyed lighter than it actually is. -Meticulous about his appearance (even as Hyde; old habits) -Divorced, but on good terms. -Has his own garden where he grows flowers. -Collects stamped wax seals. (Utterson uses wafer seals; Lanyon does not stamp his wax seals) -An anxious man especially when things don't go according to plan. -Depending on the relationship with him, his smile may either be comforting or condescending, Schrodinger's smile (you don't know its intention unless you know what he's thinking). -Something of a people pleaser even when he tries to not be. Force of habit. A push-over in boarding school since he never had much opportunity to make friends but both Lanyon and Utterson made sure to stop this as best as they could. -Utterson and Lanyon sometimes call him Jeck-ul to tease him. -Has a rabbit. She is an English Spot named Lily, after her fur pattern and colouration. She also liked to eat the flowers in Jekyll's garden after gnawing out of her cage for the 10th time. She is missing an eye. She was about to be thrown out of a pet shop but Jekyll saw it as an opportunity to use her as a test subject. He ended up not doing that.
----
Dr. Lanyon (47)
-General Physician -Scottish -Tallest of everyone mentioned. -older brother with a half-sister. -Hard of hearing due to an incident which started Jekyll and Lanyon's relationship tension. Has a hearing aid but doesn't like using it. Good at making it seem like he can hear. Both Jekyll and Utterson learned how to sign so he wouldn't feel alienated. -Has signed names for those close with him. (J-'J & Flower' U-'Angel' P- 'Pool' Blaire(wife)-I didn't come up with one yet, maybe sunlight or honey which he signs then signs love to make it more endearing idk) -Had a sick mother which prompted his career to General Medicine. Was a loner as a result in his younger years as he looked for work to be able to feed himself and was rumored to be a witch's child. Luckily that's now in the past. -Married to a nurse, turned doctor, who he met on a work trip to the United States (he passed out from heat exhaustion on the job). He has two kids, both who have Jekyll and Utterson as their godfather's -One is named Catriona, Jekyll's goddaughter. (It is vital to know this) -Typical dad and wife loving guy. -Often has a big smile of his face and will wrap you into a hug or give a hearty handshake if given the chance. -Radiates comfort; great with holding a conversation, it's near impossible not feel relaxed around him while he gives you a check up. Jekyll can only wish to be that good. -Pedantic about situations he's knowledgeable in, especially when it comes to health. -Not afraid to start an argument in situations where he feels disrespected. -Looks like a hardy man who doesn't take things to heart but he's quite the opposite. He dyed his hair when he got bullied for it in his younger years. -Has an old dog named Ruth. She's a Duck Tolling retriever, who is terribly sweet and has the energy of a puppy. Lanyon got her from the will of one his patients. She is named after the original owner's child that they never got to have. She unintentionally makes for a good service dog since she helped the previous owner alot during his old age.

Relationships :
Jekyll x Utterson x Lanyon (J.U.L/Jewel)
-The trio officially meet at boarding school as Jekyll carries Lanyon with him after the death of his mother. They went to the same school as Utterson by Poole's suggestion to Henry's father. -Utterson and Lanyon had a difficult time getting along with each other at the start due to their contrasting personalities, however Jekyll was a good medium and eventually they managed to work with each other's differences. -Lanyon is the one driving force keeping them from not dying at an early age. Those two can barely cook or monitor their own health for themselves. -Utterson the one driving force keeping them from not going broke or getting into major legal issue. -The lads have had pretty peaceful lives, it's strange. Jekyll surely has no idea why. Any outside ruckus seems to just...stop... -On breaks, the stay with Utterson's family until Jekyll is no longer able to due to training for future obligations. They still visit each other. -Utterson's parents were very supportive and kind, indirectly adopting Jekyll and Lanyon as their own. -The trio hold private events with each other where they gift each other random items or hold lunches at their houses. -The jests amongst these three, you'd think they were children with how they act around each behind closed doors. -They'd kill for each other and who is to say the hadn't?
----
Poole x J.U.L.
-Was practically a big brother to them; helped them with school work where he could despite leaving school at a young age to work. He managed to get help from another maid who actually knew the material. -Had his fair share of adventures with the lads when they were younger. Having his plate full underestimates his situation. -They still manage to raise his blood pressure even at this age. It wouldn't be them if he didn't find them passed out on the couch after their loud chatter. -They may be adults but he's still going to cover them with a blanket in those instances.
----
(some of these may have been mentioned and may refer you back to a previous panel or not?)
Jekyll x Everyone
Poole
-Out of everyone in the house, Poole (and a former maid), were the only ones who interacted with Jekyll rather than giving him the cold shoulder. Poole was fired by Henry's mom as a result but luckily the news reached Jekyll's dad before he left and was soon rehired (the former maid was not as lucky). -Despite the work relationship, Poole is like family to Jekyll, although Jekyll does sometimes use the boss position to his advantage whenever he becomes a bit invasive. -Somewhat childish around Poole, complaining about things and asking him to make him his favourite foods even though that's not his job per se. -After he left for boarding school, Poole left the Jekyll house. When he returned from College, Jekyll went out of his way to bring him back. -Respects him more than his parents. -He couldn't count how many times Poole had been there for him during tough times. -When Poole got fired Jekyll planned to run away with Lanyon to go find him and bring him back.
Lanyon
-Jekyll moves between England and Scotland due to dad's' work, eventually meeting Lanyon at age 10 in Scotland. -Love-hate relationship; If arguments ever arise it's rarely about anything serious. -Lanyon is more likely to call out Jekyll for certain actions, which entertains Jekyll. -As much as Jekyll enjoys troubling Lanyon, he does sometimes take it too far. He knows when Lanyon goes quiet. -They trust each other with the worse of themselves. -Jekyll wishes Lanyon would relax more, he's been more his parent than his parents. -Is competitive with him. -He didn't mean to hurt him, it was an accident...
Utterson
-Jekyll(5) met Utterson(7) in England after travelling to town with Poole to a local fabric store, to whom Utterson's mother owns. -Unlike Lanyon, Utterson is less likely to call out Jekyll for certain actions, however that's because he feigns ignorance. -Although Jekyll trusts Utterson with the negatives of himself, he knows Utterson does tent to go overboard with trying to mend a situation so he keeps a bit to himself. -He envies Utterson for being so…himself without risking people outcasting him. -Has actually managed to genuinely upset him, which is difficult. Utterson didn't speak to him for nearly a month. Lanyon had to be the negotiator for once. He stopped being upset after a day. He may seem reasonable but he is also extremely petty.
Guest
-Jekyll wasn't one hundred percent on having someone so young handle his finances but soon came around when he realized it would lighten the work load on Utterson. -Quite likes Guest once they started talking. -Taught him how to play cards. Started losing to him at cards.
Enfield
-Met him when he was a child but after that he hadn't seen him again until the incident (where he didn't recognize him). -He sort of reminds him of someone…oh well.
----
Utterson x Everyone
Jekyll
-When they first met he was reading a book and Jekyll asked him about it but he didn't want to hold a conversation. Jekyll suggests sharing the silence then, which did spark Utterson's interest. -Utterson understands that Jekyll likes to keep to himself as he does but also wishes he'd actually trust him more with his troubles. It's a bit hypocritical on his part and he knows this. -Got him hair ribbons and accessories to show his support. -Although he enjoys his company, he sometimes thinks Jekyll prefers Lanyon over him due to how differently he acts between the two.
Lanyon
-Annoying (Affectionate) -He ends up being both a baby sitter and dog sitter for him sometimes. He still isn't sure how he gets put into that position so easily. -Lanyon is a good person to talk to with reasonable solutions but sometimes he can be really unreasonable when he's clouded by his emotions. -He's a bit too 'touchy' for his liking but at this point diverging the course of a river would be easier than telling him to not hug him at every greeting. He's come to term with it . Afterall, it's not so bad if it's him. -Thinks the arguments between him and Jekyll are ridiculous, but entertaining. If he asks them what they were arguing about they end up forgetting. He can't help but to laugh. -Before they met at boarding school, Jekyll would send letters about him and their adventures. It made him want to be more involved. -Sometimes he envied how outgoing and good with people Lanyon is. -He likes to hear him talk. His voice is full of life and charm.
Poole
-Likes Mr. Poole. -Utterson's parents send him stuff like fabrics and vegetables as he is a regular customer at his mom's shop. -If Poole hadn't come to the shop he wouldn't have met Jekyll and by extension Lanyon. -Finds his work ethics impressive and wishes to make him proud as if he was his own parent.
Enfield
-Enfield's mother is Utterson's mother's sister (aunty but it's vital you know which side).. -When Utterson last saw him he was 10. Poor Utterson (and his siblings) were very confused as to who he was when he returned nearly two decades later! -The two get along rather well despite their opposing personalities (not in the same sense of Utterson with Lanyon). -Before Enfield's migration, they saw each other on some New Years' days when Enfield was still a kid. -He thinks he's learned some…questionable behaviours. He doesn't like tea and drinks coffee without anything in there. He once saw his cooking outside. -Whenever something involves Enfield, Utterson has to be mentioned since he is his emergency contact. (luckily it's never serious)
Guest
-Utterson hired him as Guest was having a difficult time searching for work, especially after separating from his family. -After discovering why, Mr. Utterson still kept him around. -Enjoys having him around to either chat or just sit in silence with while working. -It took a bit of convincing on Guest's part (alongside Jekyll and Lanyon who worried he'd overwork himself if he didn't some help) as Utterson wasn't entirely thrilled with someone being at his work place but decided to give him a chance after hearing he was a good conversationalist.
----
Lanyon x Everyone
Jekyll
-He grinds his gears (affectionate). -They bicker like brothers and just as quickly make up without needing to apologize directly. -Both his wife and Jekyll seem to make it their duty to tease him endlessly, why had he done this to himself. -When his mother died in their youth, Jekyll held his hand and had a sleep over. -Always says he's finished with him and his antics but they always end up reconciling. I believe if he hadn't died they might have done so again. -The two are always touching each other, whether with a shoulder slung over, a hug, a pat on the back or linked arms. -Was a bit protective of Jekyll and didn't like his parents or some of the destructive things he did. -Didn't like when Jekyll was growing his hair out but eventually learned to style hair thanks to his sister. He's begun to think that Jekyll only invites him over just to do it.
Utterson
-The definition of opposites. If they weren't seen together you'd think they wouldn't know each other. -Because of this, they aren't likely to be around each other for too long, however that does not mean they don't enjoy each other's company. -Where Utterson may press, Lanyon will recede, sometimes causing situations to get out of hand. Luckily they never get too far. -He doesn't understand him sometimes but he tries his best not to be too physical with him since it makes him uncomfortable. Sometimes however, he gets a away with it. -Utterson appears like a very relaxed individual who always knows what he's doing, people like him without him doing much. It's quite admirable. -He can chat a mile with Utterson around and knows he's still listening. -He wishes he'd stop drinking so much, both as his friend and doctor. He once tried to 'borrow' a cup of water from him after a walk over to his house only to find out that it was liquor. Utterson it is 9am.
Poole
-He feels indebted to him for the care he showed him when he was younger. The food he sent him and the stories he told them in the dimly lit space of Jekyll's room made him forget what it was like to be alone. -Gives him check ups whenever he can, even if he may say that he's fine. That guy's health is very important, free of charge! Jekyll will pay.
Guest
-He handles his finances as well at Utterson's law farm. A smart young lad! -Thinks he's a bit small for his age though. Perhaps he'll allow him to make him a hearty meal one day.
Enfield
-Cute kid! He remembers playing cops and Robbers with him. -Gave him a big hug when they met again.
----
Guest x Everyone
Utterson
-Thinks he's a good boss, although he wishes he'd actually communicate directly with his clients rather than using him as a medium. -They 'talk' about their lives and clients with each other. It's a huge relief for both of them. -Subjected to a lot of his puns and jokes. Everyday is torture. -Utterson helped him to pick out some clothes when he started working under him. Style is a must when working under Utterson/j.
Enfield
-As they both know Utterson they interact sometimes. -Guest is still dumbfounded as to how the two (Utterson and Enfield) are related. -Rarely interact with each other but Guest thinks Enfield is rambunctious.
Poole
-Reminds him of an uncle. -He get's lunch from him that reminds him of home.
Jekyll
-Respects Jekyll, however, he had heard some things he'd rather not relay to Mr. Utterson. Even if it was to confirm or deny. The risk wasn't worth it.
Lanyon
-Homely father figure. -Has considered making him his doctor but he'd rather not risk anything.
----
Enfield x (almost) Everyone
Utterson
-His favourite cousin (more or less). He may say that he doesn't want to leave him house but he knows that actually means he just lacks the motivation. That's okay! He shall be there. -Enfield tries to get Utterson to go out more. It's a gradual work in progress. -Thinks that he needs to relax more, try going to the theatre like he used to. However, Utterson always finds a way to not go. Eventually he stopped trying there but he did manage to make walking the street a common thing. -He's very reserved on the surface. Although, now when Enfield thinks about it, maybe he's just actually like that. Maybe he's shy? (no.) -Tries to get him to smile where he can, even though it only seems to make Utterson less willing to do so. -He doesn't like playing any strategy based games with him because he someone always wins.
Lanyon
-Barely remembers him but Utterson talks highly of him, albeit in a round about way.
Jekyll
-Doesn't remember much about him but Utterson and Guest speak highly of him. Maybe one day he'll be as respectable as him.
Guest
-Rarely interact with each other but Enfield wishes Guest would be more open. He thinks hanging around Utterson is making him 'too quiet'.
Poole: They don't know each other.
----
Poole x (almost) Everyone
Jekyll
-He understands that children become more closed off when they grow older but…why did it have to happen to him! -Such things are expected…at least he turned out fine for the most part. -His mother had the whole house terrified if anyone interacted with the young master. He only got the pass because Jekyll's dad found out after he was fired without him knowing. -He was distant with him after being threatened by her but it broke his heart when the young Jekyll thought it was his fault. -Did everything in his power to ensure that Jekyll could have some semblance of a normal childhood, even if that was limited and risky. -Happy he found friends to which he could be close with. -Jekyll is still as sneaky as he was as a kid as he is now. -Sometimes he'd find the doctor try to seek comfort from him as he used to with a hug. Some things never change…
Lanyon
-When he first met Lanyon, he already discovered his intention of using Jekyll for his own benefits. However, despite that, he treated him as the friend Jekyll terribly needed. With some care, he found that Lanyon's intentions soon turned genuine. -Tried to make his visits as enjoyable as possible when he was younger. -Convinced Lanyon's step father to send him to boarding school with Jekyll rather than separating them. It was a risk meddling with lives however it went as hoped for him. -Very relieved with how Lanyon tuned out. Although he wish he'd stop nearly squishing him when he hugged him.
Utterson
-He was a quiet kid overall and Poole is glad he turned out so well. -His parents have helped him multiple times when it came to organization, management and how to ensure a child reaches their fullest potential although that wasn't entirely his job. -Jekyll and Utterson once returned from the creek covered in mud. Utterdad had never been so amused that his son was capable of such activities. Poor Poole is truly using all his luck when being responsible for them.
Guest
-Poole has had some interactions with Guest as it relates to finances due to him working at the firm where Jekyll keeps his funding. -Guest sometimes gets snacks from when he visits Jekyll's house on work.
Enfield: They don't know each other.
----
Bonus:
Hyde (23~28)
-looks like their mother -Has a cleft lip. -Due to their chemical make-up, he gives the impression of a ruffian, however she doesn't do anything that would cause that much of a ruckus outside of the area they are in. How else would they have hidden their presence form his friends? -Bribes her way into doing odd jobs when bored. -Unless they say what they were, the person asking wouldn't know. But where's the fun in telling, unless it has its advantages. -The clip in their hair is actually a repurposed tie clip from Utterson. -Oddly flexible, oddly agile.
----
Hyde x Everyone
Lanyon -Lanyon doesn't notice them but there was a cup of coffee that appeared at the stand when he forgot his pouch at home. -Almost got hit by a carriage when he wasn't paying attention but a strong tug pulled him back. Before he could confront the person for felling him, they seemed to have never existed. Maybe his coat got caught on something?
Utterson -Utterson doesn't like him but he can't bring himself to hate him on account that he's oddly familiar. -Sometime Hyde surprises him with when shows actual 'kind' behaviour or sports a genuine smile. (Jekyll forgets he is Hyde sometimes)
Poole -They remind them of Jekyll when he was younger. He's a lot more unruly in comparison however and Poole does not have the energy to keep up like he used to. -Thinks that Hyde is a secret child of Jekyll as a result but he isn't going to ask.
Guest -Asks for money from a separate account via Guest which is convenient since Utterson doesn't interact directly with his clients. -Guest often forgets Hyde every time he returns but then he partially remembers him because of his 'vibe' and when he uses the same account upon returning. -Guest only wonders what they do as a job but he's not getting paid to question.
Enfield
-Hyde thinks Enfield is annoying because he keeps imposing on his actions with his sense of justice and as an officer he's even more persistent. -Enfield thinks they are a ruffian but blames it on Hyde being young (Although Hyde said they were the same age). Thinks he could 'fix' them to be a proper individual, like him for example. -(I know Jekyll canonically never met Enfield before the incident but my vers. has Jekyll and Lanyon partially meeting Enfield when J.U.L. were still in boarding and visited Utterson's home during break)

CG!Barry Allen Headcanons
When it comes to being the fastest man alive, there are naturally a few perks. Like the fact that Barry can count on one hand the things that he can't keep up with. This list nearly includes a kiddo that is brimming with energy and is into practically everything. Really, sometimes he thinks they might be the one with super speed! His powers tend to come in handy on their small days—whether it be to keep them out of trouble, or even to seemingly multitask during those vital moments when it comes to caregiving (those times you wish you could bandage a scraped knee while also finding their stuffie to help comfort them? He's fast enough to do both before they can blink!).
Conversely, his kiddo is the one thing that does make him slow down. Or perhaps not necessarily slow down, but actually feel like he's moving in time with the world again. One of the major drawbacks of having super speed is time dragging on in a way that it doesn't for the average person. This can be near agonizing at times, but being able to act as a cg? It truly helps to ground him in the present moment. There's no pressing concerns, no rushing from one Earth-shattering calamity to the next as is expected from life as a hero. When he's with them, he just gets to have a genuine human connection that isn't dependent on him breaking the laws of physics—it's a nice change of pace, to go slow and steady instead of impossibly fast.
Generally speaking, he's the type of cg that has such heavy dad vibes. Specifically what one might refer to as the "fun and energetic" dad stereotype. Master of corny jokes that kids tend to love, seeming to have one at just the right moment when his kiddo is feeling down. Showers them with paternal affection and uses tons of endearments—kid, sport, and squirt being his go-tos. He's not just about the laughs and silly time, either. No, he knows when to reel that back in and switch gears to provide comfort and emotional support when his regressor needs it. Really, Barry is just the embodiment of the idyllic version of what a dad should be like when he's acting as their cg. (And he may or may not really be putting his all into being the best carer he can because he lost his mother when he was young and truly understands the importance of a parental figure.)
While he's good with younger regressors, he thrives when taking care of those that fall in the seven to twelve range. This is because that range is the sweet spot for doing science experiments with them. And though his main field of study is chemistry, he's not opposed to helping them explore other areas of science. Barry is always buying them science kits to do together, but also is super encouraging when they want to design their own experiments. But! He is a bit of a stickler when it comes to lab safety; just look at what happened to him! One lab accident can make somebody the fastest man alive, but he'd rather not risk his kiddo's safety. Even if it results in something more minor such as a slight burn and not superpowers. Barry isn't risking any boo-boos, not on his watch.
His love language is quailty time, in case it wasn't obvious. When you've practically got time to spare and can be anywhere in an instant, spending time with those you care about becomes all the more important—or at least it does for Barry. Apart from the science kits, he would be all over things like helping them build model airplanes or trains, or even helping them put together their own things like models of the solar system. Whatever it is they are into, he wants to be able to share that with them! And of course this isn't just limited to more science-based things. That Lego set that they've been dying to put together? He'll help with that too, though with those sorts of projects he takes the backseat and lets them take the lead. Who is he to judge their creative vision? He is simply along for the ride.
Most people tend to get annoyed by kids that ask lots and lots of question, specifically why? questions. Even the most patient of people can find themselves at their wit's end, especially if they are not able to answer their little one's questions. But not Barry. He loves when his kiddo asks him questions, knowing that it's a sign of a curious mind. And even if they ask something he doesn't know the answer to, he never blows them off with a flimsy "because that's how it works" or an even worse "because I said so". He always takes the time to explain things to them, and if he can't then he's going to learn why with them! Usually he'll do a quick google search and pick a trustworthy article to read with them, or if it's something they are particularly interested in he'll arrange a library trip and help them pick out books.
Even when Barry isn't spending time with them, he is one of the proudest cgs out there. He keeps drawings they've done in his wallet and will show them off to other Justice League members in their downtime at the Watchtower. That's just getting his foot in the door so to speak—give an inch and he'll take a mile. And when given the opportunity, he will brag about them and how amazing they are to anybody that'll listen (although it is important to note that he respects their privacy of course and would confirm with them beforehand whether or not it was okay for him to do so!).

Yeah, games are largely digital now and, yeah, reducing the paper footprint is mass-production is always a good thing (could argue plastic too with the shift to digital), but I will say there was always something really exciting about going out to get a new game as a kid, popping open the case/box in the car, and reading through the manual on the way home
Back then, commercials were usually what introduced me to a game, but the boxes and manuals did a lot in terms of really getting me invested. It helped build anticipation for what I was about to play for the next month (or longer) and it gave me a glimpse of the characters and game worlds that I was about to meet and discover. It gave my imagination a chance to run loose and good games always delivered on that expectation and then some
I think it is fair to say we're probably well-beyond that era with so many things being digital and on-demand now, but I honestly remember being a bit sad the first time I opened a new physical game case and there was nothing inside except the game and a flimsy pamphlet for like a free month of Xbox Live and a DLC code (or whatever it was). Even Nintendo games, which were always stylized and colorful and filled with artwork of official designs, are nothing more than a tiny little cartridge in an oversized case nowadays (Switch cases still even have the little plastic prongs to hold a manual, but none of the games I own came with one)
Sure, there are literally countless ways to go online and learn about a new game nowadays (videos, streams, digital store pages, reviews, etc.) and I very much appreciate that accessibility, but I guess if you lived through that era, it kinda just feels like a small piece of the experience is missing now. A little booklet with fun pictures and story snippets wasn't much, but it added to the sense of wonder in a time before the availability of mobile devices and on-demand services reduced waiting times to effectively nothing. It'd be a novelty now, but if the environmental impact weren't a factor, I think it'd still add to the charm for those who appreciate the little things
Yeah. Yeah to all of this nonnie, thanks for taking the time to articulate it. It was exciting and it was all part of the anticipation magic, and it does feel sad to see it go. But the industry has grown too large and too complicated to accommodate that anymore, and there's simply too much money involved, too much human labor that is seldom offset. It is the most profitable and profit-driven entertainment sphere in the entire world, drowned in unethical practices and inhumane work conditions and downright predatory gambling schemes. Loving games today is very different from loving games back then. Changes how I view ownership, too. Cause given everything above, it just seems like a waste.
I'm thirty (incredibly weird to say this), I lived through the late nineties/early 2000s boom of boxed disc media, and I even have a very concrete memory of my best friend gifting me booklets from his game discs, cause I could never afford the games themselves but he wanted me to take a piece of that experience home in some way. It was always a special part of being a little guy who liked games. But now? I play a Videoed Game and 9 times out of 10 it's built on the broken backs of burnt out employees, costs half my month's pay, and maybe has a good enough sense of magic in its story that remains visible after it fights through fifteen different layers of over-engineered gameplay systems and UI. It's just a different relationship, for me personally, with the whole thing. And booklets are just not going to do anything for me anymore, except to maybe add a teeny-tiny frosting on the massive, depressing cake that is the human cost of making games.
#at any point in time I am always 0.5 seconds away from quitting this hobby cold turkey. sorry that i cant engage with the booklet issue#like a normal person. I really am#games are just the worst relationship I've ever been in in my life and it;s hard for me to ignore that context#whenever i discuss any small part of it#anon#asks
