nothing funnier than a CG team busting ass to create crazy visuals to see every hair follicle and the light reflecting in character's eyes and minute facial expressions animated smoothly just for it all to end up looking like ass anyways

Wodehouse#but the thing is. okay.#Fanfic depends on familiarity with and affection for the source material.#Which is not a bad thing! But it's like saying that a well-decorated bathroom is better than a house.#it's. it's not.#Yes the writing quality can be excellent. Yes the plotting and pacing and dialogue and world-expansion and etc. can be spectacular.#But you can't move into it like you can a novel.

just finished omori manga chapter 7 and i am DYING laughing. this shit isnt even bad anymore its just funny bad. oh my god

Hot take; I don’t like Sweet Vitriol. Not because I don’t like Cobel but because I think she didn’t deserve to be completely written out of the show.
#like#I’m not even going to get into the complete mistake that was putting two solo episodes back to back#with the first episode being an engaging lore reveal staring one of the most beloved characters in the show#giving us insight on the main plot’s big mystery#having it followed by a slow paced interpretive episode starring a character no one outside of tumblr really appreciates#but like I also think all of Sweet Vitriol should have been a C plot to the main MarkGemma mystery and Irving/Seths/Hellynas investigations#because Cobel is IMPORTANT#she was the main big bad of season one#she DESERVES the screen time#she DESERVES the importance#and more importantly she DESERVES a place in the show#she was completely fucked out of the story line in season 2 and shoe horned back in so unnaturally#and she doesn’t DESERVE THATTT#I think having her segments split along the rest of the episodes as a C plot would have made her transition back in with the mains#for episodes 9/10 so much more natural#I have#a lot of problems with season 2#rants#rants that may not make sense#severance#severance spoilers#severance season 2#severance 2#text post#harmony cobel

Being on Tumblr when Blades 2 was releasing was hell. All the posts were either ‘I hate Shadow!Nia she’s such a fucking bitch’ and ‘Shadow!Nia is so much better because she’s such a fucking bitch (and makes my MC look better)’ and no one genuinely interested in what it meant for her character

#mickey 17#they did NOT give that plot enough time to breathe it was so rushed and weirdly paced#the movie was mid as fuck and i would even venture as far as to say it was kinda bad. but it had some rlly great ideas and potential#esp with the characters and their dynamics with each other#but it felt like the equivalent of making a movie out of a sparknotes entry or something#like we were just getting the edited highlights instead of a real plot

dangerous romance is fun because its completely character driven and none of the characters know if they want to be in a romcom or a drama
#like ive seen critisisms saying that the plot/pacing/etc is bad#but i genuinely think that dangerous romance is appealing bc its a bunch of tropes in a trench coat#and it *works* bc the setup with the characters is good enough that as long as theyre in character (which they are) they can do anything#and it feels like it fits#the downside is not everybody likes the characters#dangerous romance#book’s quotes
