Inside the NYC Tamagotchi Uni Launch Party

On June 27th, 2023 we took the Tamagotchi UFO to the Tamaverse! That’s right, we were invited to the exclusive Tamagotchi Uni launch Party in New York City! We want to tell you all about this exclusive invitation-only event in true Tama-Palace fashion! The guest list included representatives from media outlets (and there were several) and social media influencers with a large following within the key demographic for the Tamagotchi brand.

The event was held in New York City, New York, specifically in TriBeCa, which is Lower Manhattan. This was the perfect area for the event, and a beautiful part of New York City! Bandai truly spared no expense as this was an extremely impressive party! Walking up to the event space you could easily tell this is the venue where the launch party was being held. At the top of the venue there was Tamagotchi Uni in large letters, and a window display that placed the Tamagotchi Uni global announcement video featuring Charli D’Amelio and Kimeo!

We were greeted by security who were very friendly and keeping the line at the door tamed. After opening the door and entering the venue we were greeted by Eva from the Beacon Media Group team. The Beacon Media Group team is actually based in Toronto Canada, and their flight was cancelled due to weather (severe thunderstorms) but they were able to make a drive down to New York City! We provided our names to Eva and she instantly recognized us and exclaimed “You’re Tama-Palace!!”. Beacon Media Group also runs the Tamagotchi US social media profiles. We were truly treated like VIP guests the entire time.

After checking-in at the front desk with Eva we were introduced to the Tamagotchi Uni claw machine! This claw machine was loaded with Tamagotchi Uni’s that were removed from their boxes and placed into claw machine capsules (which included the Tamagotchi Uni, watchband, and USB-C charger). Payment was not accepted, and you could try as many times as you would like to get your hands on the new Tamagotchi Uni. Whether you won or not, you were still going home with the new Tamagotchi Uni!

Once we finished up with the claw machine we walked into the main event space, and we were truly transported to the Tamaverse! There was a sign with a Tamagotchi Uni in Pink on the top welcoming us to the Tamaverse! Along with directions to the Tama Mall, Tama Walk, and the Tama Arcade. How cute? There was a DJ too, DJ Tre! The music was great all evening.

Walking further into the event space you can see that this venue features projectors just about everywhere. Each wall and floor had Tamaverse graphics projected onto it, and it really made us feel like we were in the Tamaverse the whole time. It did make taking pictures a bit tricky, but it was worth it!

To your right as soon as you entered the main event space there were two photo opportunities! Two shadow boxes, one with a Mametchi Tamagotchi plushie on a pink bed, and the other framed like a Tamagotchi Uni in purple with Mametchi, and a Tamagotchi Uni wallpaper.

After taking our pictures of the event space we were greeted by friendly wait staff who offered us popcorn in adorable pink popcorn boxes with a sticker of Neliatchi on it!

Then the wait staff offered us a bento box! Can you say VIP? There were three types of bento boxes, sushi and nigiri, charcuterie, and vegetable. We chose sushi and nigiri, and charcuterie! There were even adorable colorful chopsticks too. The bento boxes were pink and featured a Mametchi sticker that reads “Feed Me!” on them.

After eating the delicious sushi and nigiri we got to speak with Tara Badie, Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America, Senior Director Brand Strategy. This was our first time meeting Tara Badie in person, and she is just incredible! We have a video interview coming soon along with a bunch of articles about our conversation. Let’s just say that Tara really gave us some awesome information. Tara Badie even let us borrow her Tamagotchi Uni in Pink to play with while we were eating our sushi and charcuterie bento boxes.

There was an open cocktail and mocktail bar at the back of the event space and adorable signature drinks for all ages! Alcoholic beverages included Bubbletchi’s Breeze, Momotchi’s Pink Drink, and Mametchi’s Punch. Then the mocktails included Mametchi’s Punch and Momotchi’s Pink Drink. There were even cute Tamaverse palm trees by the bar!

Next up, dessert. We can’t even. Melissa Andre, the ever so talented event planner was walking around with a tray of Tamagotchi Uni characters in cookie form. We immediately walked up to Melissa and took a bunch of pictures as she introduced herself as the party planner. We praised her for the quality of the event she had put together!

Then Mametchi shows up! What a surprise, Mametchi is seen walking out of a back room and immediately mingling with guests. We captured so many pictures with Mametchi and he was quite the hit at the party!

We thought the cookies were the only dessert, and they were good enough to be, but there was more. Melissa Andre starts serving up Tamagotchi cupcakes which feature Tamagotchi Uni characters in fondant form on top of delicious vanilla and chocolate ganache cupcakes. We cannot describe how delicious these were, and you know we asked which bakery made these.

Before leaving we were able to chat with Charli D’Amelio, the global ambassador of the Tamagotchi Uni and social media influencer. We asked about her experience with Tamagotchi, showed her our blog, and even got some awesome pictures with her. Charli was incredibly sweet and she interacted with everyone at the event without any hesitation.

We are still processing how amazing this event was. All of the staff at the event were so nice, their hospitality was incredible, the food was phenomenal, music was perfect, drinks were tasty, and no detail was missed at all! It was incredible to see all of the media representatives and social media influencers get so excited about the Tamagotchi Uni and start creating content on site. Almost everyone wore their Tamagotchi Uni on their wrists as they mingled and enjoyed the event.

Bandai is clearly going all-out with the Tamagotchi Uni, and it’s off to an incredible start. This is clear indication that Bandai is fully committed to the Tamagotchi brand both inside and outside of Japan. We’re so optimistic about the future of Tamagotchi, and this event really showcases that.

▪︎a few isles over, Mikey is asking the poor employee to hold one of the snakes, all the while convincing Draken that Mikey absolutely needs one as a pet

▪︎i'd like to think that somehow, said slithering animal gets out of Mikey's hand and is now sneaking around the store.

▪︎Your friend would spot it first, and try to warn you as carefully as possible

▪︎but the little guy makes his way towards your shoes, and as soon as you feel a little nudge, well, you're paralyzed with fear, trying and failing to get any words out

▪︎now, when you see the towering form that is Ken Ryuguji, suddenly appear as he bends down to gently pick up the animal, you are stunned for a few reasons

▪︎the first being just how easily he had done that, as if the reptile in his hands wasn't so grossly terrifying

▪︎the second being, that this man was heavenly looking, even as he passed the snake to the employee, and scolded Mikey for not being careful

▪︎From then on, you happened to run into Draken fairly often, eventually growing to become friends

▪︎you wrote him a lot of your famous handwritten letters, often times sliding in some pressed flowers, or little stickers you found that reminded you of him

▪︎not that he ever let the others see these, and face their jokes, but he keeps every single letter in his top drawer, and he reads them whenever he feels down

▪︎skip to current times, you live together, practically already married in the way that all of your shared friends would say you two argue like an old married couple

▪︎most of the arguments are over small things, such as who's turn it is to clean the litter box, or that Draken needs to stop being so picky with his food, and to stop ruining his clothes because you can't keep patching them up

▪︎you threaten to embroider cute little designs on his stuff, knowing full and well that he has his own little appearance to uphold

▪︎oh and for these hcs, Draken and the others ??? Their gang lives are strictly like, idk competitive sports or gaming or something, we don't need any danger here

omg it was so fun, it was my first one in like... i want 2 say four? years so i was really excited to go!!! i got some prints and stickers and cute stuff and took a little pic in the stranger things photo op set (was wearing my hellfire club tee so it was extra cool!!!). also i went and watched the cosplay contest which was fun, also just saw so many amazing cosplays in general. it was really sunny here today and there was lots of people so i was VERY sweaty to begin with but it got easier as the day went on lol. i was so hungry at the end though so im eating sushi in the car home gjfjg

Week 2: Tokyo & Osaka

After a packed first week, M & I parted ways so I could see friends and she could go do her own thing. The first day, it snowed!! Luckily I had bought a new rain coat earlier that day after a whipround through the shopping floors of Sunshine City :O

Activities:

Pokemon Cafe! We tried really hard to get a reservation for the two of us but in the end it was easier to just get a 1 person reservation, so it was back to Nihonbashi! This was meant to be a quiet day as well... lol. The Pokemon Cafe is really adorable, and of course themed down to every detail. The food was comparitively expensive (always is in these kind of places) but out of all the themed cafes I went to, was definitely the nicest tasting. The curry had a lot of substance and fun extras on the side!

Shibuya Sky - observation towers can be hit and miss but Shibuya Sky is definitely one of the best I've been to! Two floors of a huge observation deck looking over Tokyo. Me and a friend went at night which was definitely for the best - seeing Tokyo lit up from above was amazing.

Purikura - this used to be one of my favourite pasttimes when I lived in Japan. You go into a photo booth, take quick-fire posed photos with friends, and then go and digitally draw all over them/add stickers etc. The booths were also hit and miss but some were genuinely really cute. Now though.... they just make you look like aliens... :(

Osaka Castle Illuminations - illumination events are very popular in Japan during the Christmas/winter period so I really wanted to go to one, and Osaka Castle's didn't disappoint! Despite the cold weather it was a lot of fun to look around the many pop-up neon lights shaped to look like Japanese/Osakan landmarks/cultural items etc, all backed by the most cheesy playlist I have ever heard, it was glorious

Food:

Sushiro - a conveyor belt sushi chain, and also the only time I had sushi, since I don't eat seafood (with a couple of exceptions nowadays) and I knew that sushiro does a few things that aren't seafood, like the beef sushi. Which was.. fine. It was all fine. It definitely wasn't quality - you get what you pay for lol, but it was. yeah. fine.

Another bento lunch - the hanami dango became one of my favourite treats, I need to get the ingredients to make them over here since it's supposedly very simple to do!

Ippudo - a chain ramen restaurant - it was good ramen!

Kirby car - at Tokyo station there's a mini kirby cafe where you can buy the sweets to take away, so I had to get kirby car!!! Like a lot of Japanese sweets it looked better than it tasted but it was worth it for the Aesthetic either way. It was sponge (the lighter than air Japanese version) covered in strawberry blacmange.

Yakiniku - this was great, a proper yakiniku experience - sitting with friends in a smoky room and cooking our own cuts of meat. It was delicious and came with the added bonus of seeing friends I haven't seen in many years :D

Ahh!!!! So, i’m so excited to announce that I have big news about what happened one day and wanted to share some “blog things” about my life onto screen on my laptop today then since it was “exciting and fun to experience these little moments of my life then!!!! I shall start explaining whats happened and so on I guess!!!!  So, for awhile i’d been interested to going to “Revolving conveyor belt Sushi bar with a tiny cute robot that gives you your drinks and such” before eating and you can “grab your plates afterwards (cause we waited until we got our drinks) and then you can order your dishes from a menu on top aswell!!!! Each tray has 2 Nigiris from what we chose!!!! So mostly we got Nigiri!!!!” Now I have to say mostly I am not “OBSESSED” over Sushi/Nigiri but think its ok but some dishes are too good to ignore!!!! For example I do put a “Mizu Roll from Mizu or “Three Sisters Roll” at the “Three Sisters” before any Ramen unless i’m getting that or “Smoked Salmon sushi, temaki, nigiri or yellowtail and mackerel sushi, temaki or nigiri!!!!” Then they might win with some cream cheese inside!!!! (at first I used to accidentally say sour cream for cream cheese cause I switch the two titles around but now i’m glad everyones not so confused as to what i’m saying anymore!!!! i’ll be giving them some weird dishes in their imaginations!!!!) But, I really wanted to go and try “other really rare sushi since I tried “yellowtail” and “mackerel” which I “love yellowtail better by the way and the yellowtail raw alone I love or as yellowtail jalapeno at Mizu is really good!!!!” But anyways I really excited to get Yellowtail nigiri and Mackerel nigiri too so I got that aswell then!!!! Only they named it “Spanish Mackerel Aji” so it may “be a little bit different” from just “mackerel” then!!!! And it was all good though “and I found out so many good “Fishes now great as nigiri that now its official to say I now have alot of favorite Nigiri dishes” on my list of “Favorite Nigiri dishes!!!! And, its so good I just love it!!!! And all of it is new, and has a distinct taste to it compared to the other ones in my eyes but still seems really “transparent, peaceful, white, soft and fresh in an over-running burst of white, clean energy if thats a senseful way of putting it!!!!” A reason I love fish!!!! (i could say the same for seafood) Or raw yellowtail and mackerel but fish in general is really good just usually like it cooked!!!! And the other sushi usually doesn’t compare to easy-to-find fish cooked but these TAKE THESE DISHES PLACES any moment in time!!!! From cave men age to now!!!! So anyways we had alot of fish so it comes down to alot of dishes being able to just win the table of top course at this top course restaurant with the cute “robot” drink waiter!!!! 

But, I will write them all here below in rating of BEST to LEAST in my opinion!!!!

Well, yes and it seems it went well then it was quite good and you get a tiny “Pacman Pin or sticker each time you eat 7 plates so it shows you a Pacman illustration of a game and then you get from this transparent glass box a prize out of this bright yellow sphere!!!! And then you open it to see your surprise!!!! It gets you hoping to accomplish collecting them all depending on who you are!!!!” So we got a pacman “on a Tamago Nigiri” as a pin though and it was fun!!!! Next time, I hope already have somewhere to put them!!!! I have no clue where to put them!!!! But for now its resting in a drawer!!!! Sweet Dreams!!!! 

I love the Seared Albacore Otoro Nigiri though!!!! To the sense of my taste buds its still really peaceful, transparent and soft tasting but more dim like a dimmer grey light flickering on top of a peaceful white wall that is clean bright and fresh and glimmery with a white smell!!!! Iif that makes sense.... I consider it when you go to a place with fresh water and you smell THAT. Or someplace even misty. (not from gas) Thats white smell in the air. Usually when that actually happens it makes me feel good. Thats the type of smell I mean. A nice smell. I think I got them in order right. I wrote them down so I know which ones to order next time!!!! 

Well, that was a great time with my Mother, Me and my Squishmallow “Dragon!!!!” Before that we went to Buff City Soaps though!!!! And it was so good “I can take in those scents for awhile and get hooked on the sensation of SMELL!!!! It actually is good for me to relax on soaps!!!! Just imagine if you had no way to have scent!!!! That would mean scent would be a miracle to you!!!! So you have to abuse it in every way you can even if that means STICKING SOAP UP YOUR NOSE IN THE BATHROOM OR LAYING IN BED BEFORE YOU SLEEP!!!! But its best to just smell the scents you love by rubbing it on your body the whole time so why not?!?! So, thats what I basically decided to do!!!! So I got two soaps from “Buff City Soaps that day!!!!” I got my favorites “Fruity Loopy” and “Mermaid” and they both smell “colorful and magical!!!!” Like Fruity Loopy “would smell of a spell including fruit loops in it or REAL FRUITS tossed around spinning all the fruits in a circle while it glows out rainbow sunshine and rainbow mist all over the room its an intensifying, fruity positive smell!!!!” My third we couldn’t get cause I was smelling “all the soaps!!!!” And I took too long.... But, next time “we ARE getting Unicorn too!!!! My third favorite!!!! 

And, thats the fun time we had Sun - Oct. 23!!!! 

But, continuing onward i’ve been also watching alot of movies I used to watch as a kid alot and I liked it alot!!!! And they’re all musicals too!!!! I just saw them and noticed how much I love all these songs more then I did the last time I saw them!!!! Just wish I watched them with the family more often!!!! So, I actually watched my favorite “Halloween/Christmas” movie “the nightmare before christmas” and it was really good again and I love mostly the style and claymation that Tim Burton makes and the Mayor’s face and how it turns worried by switching the back of his face to the front!!!! And I love how Boogie man is made out of MAGGOTS or worms or insects and stuff like that and gets defeated by melting in the gooey liquid!!!! And I love how Sally’s arms and legs come off and get sewn back together!!!! I love the scientist can take out half of his brain!!!! I like the clothing of Sally and her character design and how shes knt together and I love Jack’s outfit but my favorite character is Zero!!!! Hes bright, simple, happy but doesn’t get enough attention!!!! Joking, ts ok!!!! And I love the entire get up of the movie like its truly an art piece n every square inch and corner of the movie combining the scenery with the characters inside of it aswell like its “Abstract art!!!!” I love Zero most cause the bright nose fits the perfect personality of a simple, happy feeling dog!!!! I think the songs mix in well aswell!!!! My favorite ones nowadays are “Oogie Boogie’s Song, What’s This, This is Halloween, Jack’s Obsession, Kidnap Sandy Claws, Making Christmas, Poor Jack, Jack Lament and Sally’s song!!!!” 

I love the Oogie Boogie song and “sound” more cause it reminds me “of green slime with corset red threads in x’s going down to up spitting out red and lime green slime all over the blanket or quilt with it knitted on glowing in our eyes shining from the quilts.”

And the other ones I watched that are really good I love to watch and that are my favorites and that don’t grow old on me or to everyone they can say it doesn’t grow old on them are “Singin’ in the rain, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate factory and El Dorado!!!!” 

Nowadays for singing in the rain I like “Gotta Dance, Good Morning, Moses Supposes, Make em’ Laugh, Fit as a Fiddle, Beautiful Girls, Singin’ in the Rain and you were meant for me!!!!” 

I love the Gotta dance scene most cause “Its messy in background and cartoon or toon like but colorful and everybody else is perfectly normal and not sketched so sketched, cartoony with a neat clear feeling to it and they act like FROZEN STATUES IN TIME which made this abstract type of area in the movie and in broadway unique at that time!!!!” I love gotta dance cause it makes my heart feel like “fluttering scribbles all over a lying detector scribbled simply everywhere with lines all over the place creating a tension and beating from the machine there popping according to the lines being scribbled on the hyperactive lively machine not stopping!!!!”

And for the other one thats Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory I really like the “I want it now, Oompa Loompa/Violet Beauregarde Song (Oompa Loompa) Candy Man, Pure Imagination and Cheer up Charlie!!!!”

I love the I want it now because it reminds me of “confetti colorful in the sky with deep blood red fire burning through each of them in flames and a brownish red background with red stapled present bows torn into shreds still there but hanging broken up there....”

And the other ones for El Dorado I love are “Its tough to be a God, The road to El Dorado, The trail we blaze. Friends Will Never Say Goodbye and without question!!!!” 

I love “Its tough to be a God” cause it reminds me of “purple orbs floating beating and popping like a heart with drums in the sky colorful being drummed on continuously with a colorful misty air or rainbow!!!!” (like pride colors)

Oh ok so thats why I love those but mine are actually always all the songs from “movies most times but they’re all really good!!!! I can’t wait and now for now i’ve advertised Kura Sushi Bar, and Buff City Soaps and have rated all the Nigiri dishes actually and just talked about the new movies i’m gonna watch on repeat so i’m gonna go now and fulfill my wishes!!!! On top of that we’re going to Disney soon!!!! And i’m gonna eat the daylight out!!!! Everybody make sure to bring flashlights!!!! I’m eating FUCKING daylight!!!!

- Jian yi doesn't know they're dating, he just thinks Zhengxi is being really friendly and nice ever since finding out about his feelings

- Zhengxi thinks they've been dating ever since Jian yi confessed

- Queue teenage confusion and oblivious one-sided pining from Jian Yi

- Zhanyi going to a cafe together: 

Jian yi: "Ah this is so nice, Zhanxixi, it kinda looks like we're on a date. Not that I'm saying that we are of course!" 

Zhengxi, holding his hand and wiping a crumb on Jian yi's face: "What do you mean? Do you not like it here? We can go somewhere else."

- Zhanyi in a store:

Jian yi: "That scarf looks so cozy, right Zhanxixi? I bet it's expensive af."

Zhengxi: *already heading to the counter to buy it* “It is.”

- Zhengxi thinks Jian yi is just being shy about the whole relationship thing so he doesn't mind taking everything slowly. Jian yi's not shy, he's just clueless.

- Zhengxi flirting ranges from 'Did you eat yet?' to ‘I could eat you instead.' depending on his mood

- They text and call a LOT. It doesn't even matter who does it first but as soon as they're out of each other's range they would instantly text the other on instinct

- They're both spammers. When Jian yi doesn't answer in 5 minutes Zhengxi grows fussy and blows up his phone with multiple texts of "where are you? Why aren't you answering? Jian yi. Hey, answer. HEY. I'm gonna call you." Jian yi just sends multiple text under any context that's just the way he is normally

- They both fall asleep in class because they stayed up all night video calling and neither of them wants to be the one to end the call

- Sometimes Jian Yi falls asleep while video calling and Zhengxi just stares at him fondly through the screen, takes a screenshot and sets it as his wallpaper.  Zhengxi rarely falls asleep on calls so when he does Jian yi treats it as a blessing (and takes hundred of screenshots)

- They have a discord channel with He Tian and Mo Guanshan and they like to chill in the music spam with the music bot. He Tian joins sometimes but ultimately leaves them alone when Mo Guanshan isn't joining (I’m gonna make headcannons for the boys in a discord channel)

The campaign will start on November 1st, 2023, and end on November 26th, 2023.

First, simply eat the collaboration menu items that feature limited edition stickers and get original Akindo Sushiro x Tamagotchi goods for the Tamagotchi Uni! Collaboration menu items include a quail fried warship, and berry parfait.

There are a total of 6 exclusive stickers, and these stickers feature a QR code on the back as well as an exclusive Tamagotchi Uni 16-digit download code. The QR codes will be the lottery featured on the back of the stickers where 100 winners will win some goodies, including two Akindo Sushiro x Tamagotchi cushions! 2021.02.16 1st talk session of Meguro Rock-May-KanGIG at Zepp Yokohama

Zepp Yokohama is a such a nice venue, I really hope we will get to see dir play there live properly!

The concert recorded at Meguro RockMayKan was great! The setlist surprised me quite a lot (especially encore!!!)! And I think that was the smallest stage I ever saw dir on!😆 the footage definitely deserves a separate entry and I don't want to spoil anyone if they go to next events.

After the concert film screening staff quickly prepared the stage, bringing two long tables and four chairs, they also placed a water bottle at each seat.

Punctually (thank you for not repeating Nagoya's situation😆), at 3:30 Fujieda came on stage and started with greeting everyone, and asking us to greet the band members with applause.

After a moment of uncertainty (even as my heart was almost set it will be Kyo) Die came on stage with Kyo after him.٩( ˆoˆ  )۶

They both looked super classy. Die had a dark grey suit with a long jacket, his usual award winning hair and wore sunglasses.

Kyo had a black jacket (with a round Chanel pin) and shirt, green hair, he wore glasses (not sunglasses).

When they sat (Kyo stood in front of the chair first until Fujieda gestured them to sit) F asked them to introduce themselves.

But then he added more, that as it has been a while it felt like the first day of the tour.

K: when recording I can do it at my own pace, I can do one song when I want, but that day it was back to performing over 10 songs all at once, it was tough, hard on my throat, energy/stamina wise.

K: he's done his make up there, like a cat or something

Mr Will teased me about my stickers on my car and that I never let it "warm up". But soon I was off.

I drove out to Glen Burnie and went to Target and was very successful. I was just there for a low plastic bin. I wanted to put it in the trunk of the car for all our emergency stuff. And it worked so well. Fits perfectly but still has room for our camp chair. And I was really excited.

I sorted our the car in the parking lot. Made the trunk much more organized. And then went to get lunch.

I got five guys. Ate in the shade of a tree. And then went to my next stop.

I went to the Petco and this one was interesting because it had all it's old decorations. But they had the filter I wanted, a larger one, for the crawfish tank. And so I got that and a moss ball. I hope it helps keep the tank clear.

I went next door to the sporting goods store to look at the camping gear and the life jackets. But I didn't want to buy those without James. I just wanted to get an idea of price. Which is varied between $30 and $90. I trust James to be able to decide on the sizes we need. With their lifeguard training.

My tummy started to hurt though. And I wanted to go home. It was a nice drive. And I was very glad to be back here.

I put in the new filter. Cleaned just a little. Opened the back door. Enjoyed the breeze.

I laid in my hammock for a while. It has been out away for a little while so it was nice to have it out again.

I got up at 2 and played around with outfits for camping in a few weeks. I haven't even brought down my summer storage. But I will know for sure closer to the date because of weather. This is mostly a positive outlook packing list.

I am super excited to use my new duffle. It's tall and has pockets, including one that is mesh and snaps in that I'm excited about. It s wildly big inside and it's going to be so good for travel. Honeymoon travel maybe??

James would promise to bring home sushi. And so I laid down while I waited. I played Pokemon for a little but I mostly just rested and got myself mentally prepared for work.

James got back and we are together and then it was time for me to go to the museum.

And it was a really good night. I got a tip! And had a great time with the print shop. Had a lot of people with excellent questions. And I had a lot of fun.

I did also find some pieces of moveable type that were. Questionable. And so for the first time I took an artifact off the floor. And put it in a ziplock bag. And we will ask what to do with them on Tuesday.

But I had a great night. Chatted with Angie about travel. And told a story about searching for eggs when I was in school.

But then I got to go home. Which was perfect. It was just about to storm.

I got back here and my tummy still hurt. But James would make me a sandwich and that helped. We laid in the hammock together. And eventually I went to take a shower.

I washed my hair and am feeling good. Just really sleep.

Tomorrow is Easter. And we are going to go work on organizing James's family's garage. And we're going to eat bagels. But I think it will just be a soft day. And I hope it is kind to you all.

-”Once you’ve settled down, you can come to the dining room. I ordered some take out, I figured you’d be hungry.”

-For a moment you sat on the fluffy bed and just took in everything. God was so good to you right now and honestly you thanked him. Although it frustrates you to think that this would only last for a second and you’d be back on the streets, roaming around. Yeah yeah, Hizashi wants to help you but you knew soon he’d get tired of your presence in his house…..they all did. 

-Taking a deep breath, you went to go meet hizashi in the dining room.

-You sat down across from him, only not to look at him just to have your eyes on the empty plate in front of you. You didn’t really touch any of the food actually or even make a sound. You weren’t trying to be rude or anything, you just..there was a lot on your mind and facing hizashi seemed difficult.

-”Are you okay Y/N? I hope sushi is okay. I- i meant to um ask what you would like to eat first. I’m sorry.”

She was a very good person and took good care of me but she got very ill...and um you know. Meet Sunrise! - BNHA OC

Hi all! I have been thinking about Sunrise for a week or three now and she has been growing and evolving, and I know she’s going to become one of my dear, sweet, precious, actually well-developed OC’s! So I wanted to introduce her to y’all. She has a counterpart, her twin sister Umbra, who is @silenceofthecookies​ OC, so I won’t tell you too much about her, you will get to know them in due time  ( ˙꒳​˙ )

I won’t get into too many details for certain parts as she is still growing and developing, and we may or may not actually write things with the twins, so I don’t want to reveal everything yet! Without any further ado, some headcanons and info about Sun below the cut!~  °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Basics 

Name: Sunrise - call her Sun!  Pronouns: She/her  Occupation: Villain  Quirk: Sun manipulation 

Sun and her twin sister are career criminals, born to a couple of powerful villains who left the children to fend for themselves from a young age on. They are like night and day in personality, but pretty dependent on each other and insanely close. Umbra is the brains, Sun is the Brawn. 

Appearance 

Sun is a tall, tan and strong looking woman. The avatar creator didn’t allow muscles on the ‘female body type’ so you will have to imagine them on there.  She has long, wavy blonde hair that is dyed pink at the roots and most of the lenghts. Her eyes are a bright yellow with an orange/pinkish core that seems more apparent whenever she activates her quirk. 

She has multiple facial piercings, through her eyebrows, her lips, her nostrils and the bridge of her nose. They are all golden in color. She puts quite a lot of effort in her appearance with nice formfitting clothes and makeup. 

Personality 

Sun is incredibly strong and pretty aware of her power. Her quirk is relatively overpowered and she’s actually physically strong as well. 

She is also quite a ditz. Not the sharpest pencil in the box, leaving the thinking mostly to her sister, and blindly following orders. 

She is pretty happy-go-lucky and actually rather well-natured, being a villain simply because she has been raised on the belief that heroes are selfish and leave people to suffer anyway. She would make a great hero if only she had been born differently really, but she has never even thought of questioning her morals, blindly trusting those that care for her. 

She is genuinely smiling most of the time, tries her best to socialize and make new friends in almost a child-like manner. She likes to talk a lot and has no filter, saying whatever is on her mind honestly, much like a young kid would actually do. 

Her soft and almost cute personality makes it easy for her to persuade people do to things for her and make superficial connections. She is not aware of it herself enough to actually use it for villainy purposes, but it definitely helps her get by in life, even though she may not realize it. 

The most introspective and serious she gets is when she reflects upon how she is perceived by most people. She is definitely aware that most people call her stupid (if not in her face, then it’s behind her back) and she knows she can be unreliable when it comes to making snap decisions. That’s why she prefers to stay close to her sister at most times, who she trusts blindly to make decisions in her stead. 

Miscellaneous 

Sun, thanks to her quirk, thrives in sunlight. She wakes up at sunrise, feeling noticeably weaker and more tired when it’s dark. 

She loves high-heeled shoes and will also wear them on stealth missions unless someone reminds her that the sound definitely undermines the ‘stealth’ part of the operation 

Her favorite food is sushi, if you would let her, she would eat it every day. 

If she has to report on missions, expect harajuku bullet journal style notes in colored pens with loads of stickers (they don’t let her report on missions anymore) 

Pink is actually her favorite color!

She loves cute stuff in general. 

She likes singing and dancing, but isn’t particularly good at it 

She can and will carry around a full grown adult man if you ask her

• You were naturally a chatterbox, talking to strangers about the weather to individuals who looked generally harmless, opting to say hello to old women and passing youth, and that included Arthur when you met in the elevator in your new building: his building. You noted the rain as you wrapped up a compact umbrella, unlocking your mailbox adjacent to his, which was full of letters from who or wherever while his looked lonely as an empty home. He decides you are the only good person in Gotham. The crush is almost immediate.

• The next few times you meet, you intitiate conversation as usual, unlocking your little mailbox, fidgeting with your gloves forever and clumsily dropping things from your pockets. He grows confident to start intiating conversation with you after some time, saying hello and complimenting your new raincoat. He pinpoints every topic in his journal. He eventually makes a timeline about when you two talked and about what, important things you mentioned about yourself, and what you were wearing, usually next to a strange sketch of you wearing that outfit. Sometimes, he’d write what he imagined you to be wearing underneath it. On many pages, there was your first name with “Fleck” following after it and cut out engagement rings that cost four times his rent (amythyst rings since you mentioned how much you enjoyed the color).

• He has a list of things you mentioned you liked, compiling things into categories like foods, restaurants, hang-out spots, shopping areas, and more. If you, in a faraway fantasy, ever wanted to let him take you on a date, he’d fantasize about reserving a little booth in your favorite sushi restaurant and treating you to something you’d genuinely enjoy. Arthur wants to make you happy. You don’t notice, too busy conversating with the service and clerks, that Arthur sometimes happens to also get coffee at 6am in the café shoppe some ways away from your shared building and even if you did, your kindness would tell you a man with a yellow coat had almost exactly the same schedule and regular spots as you, not farfetched at all.

• When you struggle with some groceries, he helps you and enters your apartment, which you tried very hard to spiffy up despite the cheap, worn building, putting out nice, obviously new matching furniture and the newest TV you won in a sweepstakes recently (“Luvs taking chanzes & oportunatees!!!” He wrote in his “what I like abowt them” category next to a plethora of hearts). He drank in your neatness and the obvious scent of your subtle body mist in the apartment. You invite him to stay for a cup of coffee and a snack as a thank you.

He writes that he thinks he loves you in his journal that night.

• After the two of you make it official, after some time beating around the bush, trying to decipher who would ask the other to make it official first, every single page has a mention of you. Some of the pages are even full of just content of you, some of dreams about you, some stories about a vacation he’d want to go on with you one day, and just thoughts and observations about you. You are his first shot at love and his first shot at genuine happiness; he’s a bit obsessed with you if anything in an odd and endearing way. Out of respect, you don’t inquire about his journal and refuse to sift through it. You think his creative outlet is adorable and gift him with pens and stickers to decorate his Joke Book with and the next day, it’s covered in the silly animal stickers you got him.
